Allegiances
Isletclan
Leader:
Moonstar/86 moons/female/She is short-haired and dark gray with blue eyes./Moonstar is protective and kind to all of her clan, doing everything in her power as a leader to do the right thing for all of them. Though she likes to be alone, she is great at communicating with her fellow clan mates as well as the other clans during gatherings. She keeps her talking at a minimum and if she doesn’t need to explain herself she won’t./Moonstar was born and raised in the clan. Despite her introverted ways she found herself going the extra mile to take care of the clan. Later she was made deputy by Redstar. 1/9 lives left.
Deputy: Oakpelt/82 moons/male/A brown tom with amber eyes, his face is slightly darker than the rest of his body./Oakpelt is a very serious cat, he always seems to be busy working, always for the betterment of his clan. He will cross lines if it means putting his clan into a better position, often not to Moonstar's knowledge. He can be quite charismatic but leaves such things to Moonstar unless necessary. He is very distrusting of Brindlefoot, but has never acted on his suspensions./He was born and raised in the clan he became deputy when Moonstar became leader. He has faithfully served her since that day.
Medicine Cat:
Owlwing/56 moons/male/A slender, light brown tom with amber eyes. His pelt has unusual stripes and spots/Owlwing is cranky and quick to snap at cats that are wasting his time. He is very dedicated to the clan and takes his role as medicine cat seriously. He is very out spoken, and will use his position as medicine cat to put others in their place when they over step. Many in the clan, especially elders, are aware that he is a very good natured cat, and that his attitude is not always a reflection on how he actually feels./ Owlwing had always wanted to become a medicine cat as he had lost his littermates and mother when he was born. He pushed to become an apprentice despite the medicine cat being young enough to not need one. When the previous medicine cat relented, Owlwing excelled at his training, much to the surprise of his mentor, who had expected him to not have enough patience for the position. Owlwing's mentor was killed during a raid a few moons after Owlwing had earned his name. The clan has done well under his care, though apprentices will dare their friends to go to his den, much to his annoyance. He secretly trades herbs with outsiders to benefit the clan.
Morningstream/24 moons/female/A silver tabby she-cat with blue eyes./Morningstream is hyper and very kind to others. She is always excited and ready for an adventure, which makes it rare that she’s in a bad mood. Her mother thinks that she’s almost exactly like her father./She was born in the clan, being raised by Silvermist and Azreal- Siblings are Aspenheart, Dusk and Frost.
Warriors:
Silvermist/58 moons/male/A silver tabby tom with icy-blue eyes. His fur is feather-like, especially on his tail./Silvermist is extremely kind to a fault. He will often go out of his way to help others, and has helped those outside of his clan a number of times. He can be gullible and his good natured actions have caused rifts between himself and his clanmates a number of times. This has also caused some apprentices to think he is an easy mentor, but he is known for being incredibly stern, determined to train his apprentices to the best of his ability. He however, has no tolerance for those you threaten to harm his loved ones and clan./Silvermist was born and raised in the clan, he is very good friends with Owlwing and has helped the medicine cat sneak away to exchange herbs with outsiders. He temporary became mates with a loner named Azreal, the romance was short-lived and he ultimately chose his clan over her. However, when she was expecting his kits he triedto convince Moonstar to allow her into the clan, worried for the safety of his kits. Silvermist's friend, Owlwing, had help convince the leader to accept the she-cats and kits, despite the growing tensions with more rogues appearing in Isletclan territory. They are no longer mates but he is still kind to her, despite protests from clanmates; father of Frost, Aspenheart, Morningstream and Dusk.
Quietstorm/40 moons/female/She has a smaller build and is a mostly black long-haired tortoiseshell with amber eyes./Quietstorm is sweet and dedicated, but doesn’t like being taken for granted. When she became a warrior she and another warrior(who ended up leaving the clan) became mates, having a litter of two kits. One of the kits didn’t survive birth, which has made her even more attached and protective over Redpaw. Apprentice- Snakepaw
Shadowtail/75 moons/male/A large black and white tom with amber eyes/Shadowtail is a fierce warrior, he tends to be quick to act without thinking. He is very protective of his clan, especially with the ongoing threat of the group of rogues. He is more brawn than brain, but he is fully aware of it. He also has a very good sense of humor and loves to pull pranks, even though Briarshine disapproves of such behavior/Born and raised in the clan. His mate is Briarshine. Apprentice- Ravenpaw Briarshine/67 moons/female/A tall, elegant, ginger queen with green eyes/Briarshine is known for her elegance and grace. She is well aware of how others see her and uses it to her advantage. While not openly antagonistic, she will not hide her dislike for others, especially if she thinks they are a danger to her family. She is a very good mother and will often help other queens even if she is not with kits. She always has a soft spot for kits and apprentices, even if she does not care for their parents./Briarshine grew up in the clan, she had to work hard to keep up with her fellow apprentices but she was also able to earn her warrior name. She fell in love with Shadowtail and the two became mates. She is currently expecting her second litter. Despite disliking Azreal, she still helped when the outsider was expecting. Apprentice- Sandpaw
Aspenheart/24 moons/male/A greyish-brown and white tabby tom with blue eyes/Aspenheart is passionate and bold. He is very outspoken about is opinions. He can get frustrated easily but is quick to calm down. He will however, often hold a grudge. He tends to deal with most problems right away, even if they aren't his own. Foxspots/Deceased/Orange and white tabby with light green eyes./He is serious but has a sense of humor. One kit didn’t survive and he ran off and he hasn’t seen them since.
Jasper/ 27 moons/ Male/ A beautiful white tom with green/blue heterochromia and a bushy tail/ Outgoing and curious, Jasper is a friendly but awkward cat. He is quite clever, but his pampered lifestyle has left him ignorant to much of the world. He tends to take on more than he can chew in an attempt to please others./Jasper was born as a kittypet and has live a glorious, pampered life. He grew curious about the outside world and often sneaks out of the house from a loose window screen when his house-folks aren't paying attention. He tends to gather a lot of information easily due to his outgoingness.
Ollie/ 43 moons/ Male/ A fat orange and white tabby tom/ Cautious and lazy, Ollie doesn't take kindly to strangers. However, he is always eager for those he likes to visit him. He never leaves his fence and is often the first to see Mara and Frost./ Born and raised as a kitty pet.
Victor/ 38 moons/ Male / A slender, male tom with a white tipped tail and glossy, black coat/ Snooty and bold, Victor is known to be honest and to the point. He is fully aware that he lives a good life and makes a point to prove that to others. Despite his apparent attitude , however, he is actually quite kind./ Born as a stray, he was picked up as a young tom by twolegs, he fears returning to his old life and is somewhat ashamed of his past.
Henry's Group
Henry/84 moons/male/A massive long hair tom with golden eyes and flattened nose. Mara/32 moons/female/Mara is a short-haired mostly black and white she-cat with green eyes./She was born in the twoleg town to rogues, she was about 6 moons old when she found the group of rogues that let her in. She is bitter but she has a big heart, she knows how to act accordingly.
Frost/22 moons/ Female/ a silvery she-cat with diluted calico markings and light blue-green eyes. /Frost is introverted and quiet, often observing others. While she is clever and good at problem solving, she normally waits to see if anyone else can solve the issue before she steps in- which she normally does indirectly. She is very fond of her siblings, and likes to stay by the side of at least one of them whenever she can, but she can become quite irritated with her family when she doesn't agree with their actions. She is often the voice of reason when a situation gets out of hand. She can come off as standoffish and tends to be shy arounds strangers. She does not enjoy playing a direct leader role, and normally likes to support others in the background, or maybe even from the shadows./She was born in the clan, being raised by Silvermist and Azreal- Siblings are Aspenheart, Dusk and Morningstream.
Shadow ~ Dusk/22 moons/male/He is all black with amber eyes./He is laid back and fairly quiet. He likes to mess with his siblings and try to play tricks on them, which doesn’t always end up on a good note. Therefore he’s quiet but mischievous, and a bit over confident./Born in the clan being raised by Silvermist and Azreal- Siblings are Aspenheart, Morningstream and Frost.
Brick/42 moons/male/A massive pale red tom with a battle scarred pelt/ Confident in his ability to lead and fight, he is feared by many in the two-leg place. Due to his appearance, many underestimate his intelligence but he is quite clever. The son of Henry, he uses his position to rule over others, often through threats or violence. He wants to take over his father's position, feeling that he is unsuited to lead.
Bruno/37 moons/tom/Gray and white medium sized tom with green eyes./Bruno is a part of the rogue group in the two-leg town, he doesn’t like to talk much and is straightforward.
Scarlet/37 moons/female/Dark red she-cat with green eyes./Scarlet is blunt and doesn’t have a nice fiber in her body. She holds a high image in the rogue group, unafraid and unapologetic. Though her and her sister are total opposites she would still do anything to protect her. Their father was a kitty pet they never met and they both watched their mother get hit by a monster at a very young age.
Sabrina/37 moons/female/orange, black, and white calico she-cat with pale green eyes./She is much different than Scarlet, almost the complete opposite. She is kind hearted, sweet, and doesn’t mind helping others. But this way she is, all of the cats in the group see her as weak, and don’t associate with her much. They prefer her sister over a lot of things, which has made her quiet and more of an outcast.
Haven/34 moons/Female/A lanky, brown and white tabby/ A cat that grew up in the alley, she is smart and keeps to herself. She is often seen as apathic but she knows most cats don't have good intentions, as shown by the scars that litter her body. She just wants to survive. She is Toby's mate but they hide it from most- not wanting to seem soft. She stays close to Brick, fearing what may happen if she disobeys him.
Toby/ 39 moons/Male/ A sturdy, solid grey cat/ A kitty pet that was abandoned by his housefolks, Toby struggled to adjust to life as a stray. He tends to be quiet, nervous about others. Despite his size, he dislikes fighting and is easily startled. Due to this, he is often picked on by Brick who has been the cause for many of his scars. He often let's Haven take the lead, trusting his mate deeply.

Frostmist stretched when he exited the warriors' den, his frost blue eyes squinting against the morning light. He shook out his silver pelt and gave his shoulder a few licks. Curiously, the tom glanced around the camp, pausing as his gaze landing on the apprentices' den. He watched for movement, wanting to see if any of his kits have woken up yet, though he assumed his hopes were fruitless. It was still early, and most of the clan was still deep in slumber; only Shadowtail stood in the clearing, standing by the entrance as a guard. Silvermist remembered a time when a guard was not needed, the camp was so remote that they very rarely had any threats, even foxes stayed away. However, the increasing number of aggressive loners and rogues had caused panic in the clan, something he knew he had a hand in. Out of sheer foolishness, blind romance, he had brought one such cat into the camp. Silvermist turned his head back to the warriors' den, seeing Brindlefoot's still figure from the darkness within. He was sure she was not as bad as everyone thought, but he knew he did not love her, not anymore. He shook his head and moved towards the fresh-kill pile, hoping to eat something while he can.

Duskpaw stretched from his nest, making sure to be quiet to not wake any of the others in the apprentice den. He gently made his way out of the den and looked around the clan to see who was awake since it was still fairly early. The sun was barely just shining over the horizon, gleaming onto the tree branches and melting the bit of frost that covered them. Noticing his father, Silvermist, near the fresh kill pile he trotted over to him, “good morning!” He mewed excitedly to him. Duskpaw looked to the pile and seen a small mouse just perfect for him. “Can I have that mouse please?” He asked his father. He wasn’t normally up before the rest of his siblings when usually they would all eat together. He looked over the medicine den, longing for his sister. She had recently become a medicine cat apprentice and has so been busy with Owlwing it seems as though she doesn’t have time for her siblings anymore.

Hopefully this isn't too hard to follow haha. )
Silvermist purred loudly when he saw Duskpaw rush over; the silver cat's tail stood high in greeting. "Good morning Duskpaw, you're up early." He mewed, quickly picking up the mouse before gently placing it in front of the dark cat. The tom followed Duskpaw's gaze and laughed slightly, shaking his head. "Unless you want Owlwing to scold you, I would wait until Morningpaw wakes up." He advised, picking up a slightly larger mouse for himself. "You can come eat with me, I'm sure everyone else will be up shortly." The fluffy cat lead his son a few fox lengths away from where they stood.
After a while, Aspenpaw stirred in his sleep, clumsily, he stood, and stretched. He tried to be careful as he left the apprentice den, but when avoiding Redpaw, he had stepped on Frostpaw's tail. "Sorry" he whispered as he watched his sister wake up, giving her brother a disapproving look.
Frostpaw released a heavy sign, but soon stood, leaving the den in front of Aspenpaw. "It's fine." She yawned quietly, Aspenpaw having to lean towards her to hear what she said. She shook her pelt free of moss and gave her face a quick cleaning before walking towards the fresh-kill, seeming to inspect each piece when she arrived.
Feeling that his sister was not too crossed with him, Aspenpaw bounded ahead of her. His blue eyes caught sight of Duskpaw and Silvermist but he trotted towards Shadowtail first, wanting to ask if he had to chase anything away while they all slept.
Silverleaf watched the two as they left the den. The cat signed when Aspenpaw went over to Shadowtail, but judging by the warrior's animated expressions, it seemed like Shadowtail was more than happy to tell Aspenpaw about his night guard duties.

Duskpaw nodded at his father, relieved he had asked before taking any prey. He picked the mouse up and followed Silvermist, dropping the mouse in front of him while eyeballing the medicine den. He noticed Aspenpaw and Frostpaw come from the apprentice den which gave him a bit of hope for Morningpaw to be up soon. As he thought about it he noticed her emerging from the medicine den and padded over to Duskpaw and Silvermist.
“Good morning!” Morningpaw mewed and sat next to Duskpaw, “this mouse must be for us, I’m starving!” She exclaimed staring at the mouse on the ground in front of her brother, who nodded to her and they immediately began to share the prey.
Redpaw stumbled awake trying to gain his balance, he was always clumsy in the morning. He made his way to the camp clearing and squinted his eyes as the sun was now just over the trees and brush. “So bright!” He complained to himself and shook out his fur. Redpaw wasn’t the morning type of cat.
Brindlefoot opened her eyes to see the sun shining in the warriors den. She laid there, not wanting to leave the den yet. For some reason she liked to wait until her family was done eating, she knew she wasn’t worthy to eat any of their prey, and they deserved first bite anyway.

Slivermist flicked his tail in greeting to Morningpaw, happy to see all of his family up and about. "Good morning Morningpaw. Make sure you bring something for Owlwing when you're done." He purred, a slight lecture in his voice. He glanced up as he watched Redpaw enter the clearing. "Good morning Redpaw!" He greeted, having to raise his voice for it to carry to the tortoiseshell tom.
Eventually, Frostpaw decided on a small fish, not feeling very hungry. She made her way towards her family, laying down beside Morningpaw, pressing against the she-cats flank. She ate her fish in a few quick bites, feeling happy with her choice, Frostpaw swiped her pink tongue across her lips. She stretched out her paws in front of her before resting her head on Morningpaw's back, her eyes half lidded as she soaked in the morning sun.
Aspenpaw's ears perked as he heard Redpaw's voice. He quickly said goodbye to Shadowtail before rushing over to the apprentice's side, giving the tom a hardy nudge. "Good morning!" He purred loudly, his tail twitching with excitement, ready for the new day. "Come on, let's get something to eat, I'm starving!" He added, his tone a bit bossy as he urged his friend to come with him.

Morningpaw nodded at her father, who always kept everybody in check. She always wondered what they would all do without him, or each other. “Okay!” She mewed. Her and Duskpaw finished up the mouse and they began to share tongues.
Redpaw perched his head towards Silvermist as he called to him, “good morning!” He shouted, noticing the warrior with all of his kits except Aspenpaw. He turns to see the tom walking towards him, “Good morning Aspenpaw!” He followed Aspenpaw in agreement to being starving, all he could think about was some good prey. He searched the pile and noticed a fairly large mouse and glanced at the apprentice next to him, “wanna share the mouse?”
Morningpaw shuffled under Frostpaw, “sorry Frostpaw I need to take Owlwing some food.” She mewed gently to her sister as she stood up. She has enjoyed being the medicine cat apprentice more than anything, but it felt as though she didn’t get to spend time with her siblings as much. I’ll just drop the prey off to Owlwing and come back. She thought and made her way to the fresh kill pile. She grabbed a good size fish and made her to the medicine den, hoping the medicine cat was awake and she wouldn’t startle him.
Moonstar emerged from her den, breathing in the fresh morning air. She hopped on top of the large tree trunk and watched over the camp, she wanted to wait until everyone else got something to eat before she helped herself. She was happy to see Silvermist with all of his family, she admired the toms kindness and determination to be a good father. Nothing could convince her that Brindlefoot was ever right for him, she was only thankful for her for the sake of Silvermist’s kits.

Aspenpaw's eyes almost seemed to sparkle at the sight of the mouse, it had been moons since he last saw one so big. "Absolutely!" He purred excitedly, nearly hopping on his paws. "Do you think we will get to do some battle training today?" He asked, following Redpaw's lead for where they were going to sleep. Like Morningpaw, he found it easy to mingle with other cats in the clan, but unlike her, he got to sleep, eat and train with his siblings often. This had lead to him being much more outgoing and independent than Duskpaw and Frostpaw.
Frostpaw grumbled as Morningpaw stood, but was quick to reposition herself against Duskpaw. The light coloured cat felt a pang of jealousy, she felt like she rarely got to see her sister anymore. Morningpaw seemed to be doing well with her training, but due to the training, she was always occupied with the rest of the clan. She signed, accepting the fact that her sister was on a different path whether she liked it or not. She had noticed Moonstar, but her mentor seemed to be waiting to eat.
Silvermist watched Morningpaw leave, then looked down to the two apprentices beside him. "You two can't cling to Morningpaw forever." He told them, keeping his tone light as gave Duskpaw's head a quick lick. "You two should try to...expand your horizons." He added gently, waiting to give the two a push to be more social. Duskpaw was always causing trouble within the family, but always seemed so shy with his clanmates while Frostpaw seemed uninterested in anyone other than her siblings.
Owlwing was already up when Morningpaw had returned to the den, busy sorting through his stocks of herbs. "Just leave it there." He said, his voice distant as he concentrated on counting his stocks. Briarshine will be expecting soon, he needed to make sure he had enough for things to go smoothly. Owlwing muttered to himself for a moment before glancing to his apprentice, he wanted to go trade herbs- hoping to get more burnet, but he only had mentored Morningpaw for a moon, so he could not bring her. He decided he would get Silvermist to take him tonight instead. He studied Morningpaw for a moment then continued counting his herbs. "You can go play with your siblings, but I want you back as soon as they leave for training. We need to take advantage of the thaw and gather what we can." He told her, his tone sharp. "Got it? No delays. This is not going to be a regular thing." He had noticed that she has gotten isolated from her siblings and felt some guilt over it. Though he was mostly giving her this chance in order to prevent Silvermist from talking about how worried his is during their trip to trader herbs later tonight.
Oakpelt emerged from the camp entrance with two other warriors, all holding fish in their jaws as they trotted towards the fresh-kill pile. They had just been on dawn patrol, but were able to hunt close to camp before they returned. He glanced around the camp for his apprentice, giving the cat a nod. He will take the young tom out after he ate. Grabbing two fish from the pile, the brown cat walk towards Moonstar, offering her one.

Redpaw grabbed the mouse after Aspenpaw agreed on sharing it and led the way over to where Silvermist and his kits were eating. ”I hope so, maybe if we do battle training we can all train together!” He mewed excitedly through the mouthful of mouse, it would be nice to do some battle training with the other apprentices. As they approached Silvermist and the others, Redpaw dipped his head at his mentor and sat next to Frostpaw. Setting the mouse down he pushed it towards Aspenpaw, signaling for the tom to take the first bite.
Duskpaw groaned at his fathers words, his family was just comfortable to him, was that a bad thing? Maybe it was the fact he believes they’re the only ones that he’ll ever need, or have. He glanced over to the medicine den once more, knowing deep down his father was right.. But what’s the use? Even his own parents didn’t want to be together, which makes him believe even more that his family is all that he needs.
Morningpaw set the fish she had grabbed for her mentor down where he told her, slowly nodding at his orders. A burst of excitement ran through her when he mentioned playing with her siblings, she had missed them so much this past moon. Only spending meals with them just wasn’t enough, she wanted to play with them like when they were kits. She reminisced on an old memory of them playing in the nursery together climbing all over Silvermist and Brindlefoot when they were still mates,oh how I miss those days. Not long ago, but long enough for many changes to have happened. “Understood,” Morningpaw dipped her head at her mentor and exited the den. She trotted over to the group excitedly, “Owlwing said I can play with you guys until you all leave for training!” She exclaimed to her siblings.
Quietstorm trotted side by side with Oakpelt as they entered the camp with a few fish in her mouth. Dropping them into the fresh-kill pile as Oakpelt did and grabbing one for herself.
Moonstar jumped down from the tree trunk and dipped her head at Oakpelt, “thank you.” The tom always found ways to remind her why she chose him as deputy, and she’ll forever be proud of her decision. She grabbed one of the fish and began eating in front of the tree, enjoying the slight breeze in the morning air. Living on an island could never get old to Moonstar, she believed it was where she was meant to be, and she was happy to be there. Now the only issue was Brindlefoot, since she and Silvermist quit being mates Moonstar noticed a strange tension. Maybe she was wrong to have let her stay..

(Sorry for the delay, busy day! Also feel free to start the plot whenever you would like!)
Aspenpaw was quick to take a bite, not even waiting until he was fully seated. He looked up between bites as Morningpaw walked over, speaking between chews. "I'm surprised that he even knows what playing is." He joked keeping his voice low to prevent Silvermist from hearing his words. He did not want to get scolded so quickly in the morning. "We should all play hide and seek! There's no kits right now so we get the whole camp!" He added, glancing to his siblings and Redpaw to gauge if they agreed with his idea.
Frostpaw glanced to Redpaw, despite him being practically raised with her siblings, she still felt unsure of him. She didn't dislike him, but she just could never feel as confident around him like she could around her siblings. She pressed closer to Duskpaw, seeming to ignore her father's words. She relaxed however, when Aspenpaw exclaimed his idea about what they should do. "That would be fun."
Silvermist sighed at the protest of his kits, but he knew that they were young, and will soon find their own footing. He purred when they discussed playing together, happy that Owlwing gave Morningpaw the chance to bond with the other apprentices. "You five stay out of trouble then." He warned them, slowly getting up. "I'll be back to get you later Redpaw." He informed his apprentice. He looked to the warriors' den, seeing Brindlefoot's figure. He stretched before walking to the fresh-kill pile, finding a shrew. "Be good!" He called to his kits before bringing the prey to the dark she-cat. "You need to eat." He said, some pity in his voice as he spoke.
Oakpelt nodded to Moonstar's words, he quietly took his fish and ate it not far from her den, keeping an eye on his apprentice with a curious look. When silvermist brought prey to Brindlefoot, his eyes narrowed slightly.

(For sure! And no worries! I took a little while too lol.)
Redpaw helped himself to the fish after Aspenpaw took a few bites, listening to everyone talk as he ate. “That sounds like a good idea!” He mumbled through a mouthful of food to Aspenpaw. It was fun to play with all of the others, though they weren’t his real siblings he felt close to them. Especially Aspenpaw, they have gotten along well since day one. As they finished up the fish Silvermist said he’d be back to get him for training soon, which made him eager to play. “Alright let’s play! Who’s it?” Redpaw shouted and jumped up looking at the others.
Duskpaw nudged Frostpaw to get up, he was excited to play hide and seek since it was his favorite game to play. “You be it!” He teased his sister as he stood up.
Brindlefoot perked her head up when Silvermist dropped a piece of prey in front of her, “alright.” She mumbled, not particularly excited to see him. She was able to put in a lot of thought this morning and had decided she wanted to leave the clan and go back to her old life where she belongs. She took a few bites before looking up to Silvermist and cleared her throat a bit, “I-I had a crazy dream.” Brindlefoot mewed shakily to him, though she was a good liar it was still so hard to lie to the tom. He had always been so kind and loving, but that doesn’t change that Brindlefoot can’t commit nor could she hide her true self any longer. She sighed and brought her gaze back to the prey in front of her, taking another bite. “I think I need to leave the clan.”
Moonstar watched as Silvermist went to Brindlefoot with prey, turning her head curiously as Oakpelt did. She didn’t talk much about anything really, but she was curious about Oakpelt’s opinion on Brindlefoot. Turning her head slightly toward the tom she spoke, “what do you think about Brindlefoot?” Moonstar asked him, actually feeling a bit of relief from finally asking her deputy his opinion. She had not consulted him when she let the rogue into their clan and she could feel just a tad bit of resentment from him, but she didn’t blame him one bit.

no problem! I'll hide Aspenpaw once Dusk, Red and Morning are hidden)
Frostpaw stood up as well, her ears flat to her head as she swished her tail playfully. "Fine but get ready to lose." She said confidently, giving Duskpaw a playful swipe on his muzzle. The pale she-cat took a quick look at all the apprentices, making mental notes on where they would probably hide and what would be a tell tale sign of their location. Morningpaw looked similar to herself, she would probably hide where there were light stones or remaining frost-maybe even the medicine cat den if Owlwing was in a good mood. Redpaw would blend well with the willow tree but also could use his mother as a shield, Aspenpaw would probably hide somewhere that he would talk or play with someone, Duskpaw would be the trickiest because he blended well with shadows and was the sneakiest of all of them. When she was happy with the mental notes she made, she nodded. "Okay, go!" She told them, closing her eyes as she began to count.
Silvermist watched her for a moment, tilting his head as she spoke. "You did?" He asked concerned, Brindlefoot had been so confident when they first met, it was unnerving to she her like this. "I guess you are having a hard time here...I'm sorry, I can talk to the others. If anyone if bugging you, let me know- I'll sort it out." He added, sitting down with his feather-like tail wrapped closely to his body. He thought for a moment, ice-blue eyes in a haze as he concentrated. "You could always talk to Owlwing about your dream. He's good at that sort of thing."
Oakpelt was quiet for a moment, then turned his head to glance towards Moonstar, keeping the warriors' den in his sight as he did. "I don't trust her. Silvermist is a fine warrior who made a mistake, but bringing her here is another one." Oakpelt told Moonstar, his voice quiet as to not let anyone else hear him. "Their kits will make fine warriors but I can see that she is a poor influence on them. Frostpaw and Duskpaw obsess over their family and the other two run around like they're still kits- I worry for when Morningpaw takes on more duties, Owlwing is always having to scold her for getting distracted by her siblings."

Duskpaw took off immediately since he already knew where he was going to hide. He had his eyes set on the biggest tree in the clan, running past Moonstar and Oakpelt. He found a little covering behind one of the big trunks and laid down, not one cat in sight.
Morningpaw trotted quickly towards the medicine den, she knew since Owlwing wasn’t in the best mood the rest of the cats wouldn’t come looking for her over here. She passed the medicine den and hid in the small space behind the den where the grass was tall enough to cover her as she crouched.
Redpaw froze and didn’t know where to hide, he looked around frantically and noticed the fallen logs near the warriors den. He started to run towards the logs and climbed inside of one, relieved it was steady. There was a small hole he could see out of and decided that’s where he would watch for Frostpaw.
Brindlefoot cringed at the thought of bringing this up to Owlwing and thought of every and any way to avoid it. She had thought for the past few months what she could do to leave the clan on a goodish note. “It’s the kits.” She blurted out, knowing that would get his attention. She had always been selfish, but it felt like something was stabbing her heart when she thought about taking any of the kits away from Silvermist. But it’s what I must do.
Moonstar listened to Oakpelts valid reasonings on Brindlefoot, quietly thinking about the she-cat and her kits. Moonstar tried to put herself in Brindlefoot’s place but she couldn’t since she never had wanted a mate or kits. “Those kits will learn and grow into fine cats, and we can thank Silvermist for that. As for Brindlefoot..” she trailed off and sighed as she searched for the words she wanted to say. “She doesn’t seem loyal, I have a feeling she’s going to leave.” Moonstar had pondered on that thought for a few days. Brindlefoots attitude has changed and she is never with her family, she is the one to blame for the kits’ attachment to each other and their father.

Aspenpaw was quick on his paws, he instantly raced to the camp entrance, racing past Shadowtail who was waiting for his shift to be taken over. "Excuse me Shadowtail, is it okay if I hide here?" He asked, making his tone extra sweet. When the warrior laughed and agreed, Aspenpaw slipped into the reeds, his striped pelt blending in well. He watched Frostpaw's distant figure, his whiskers twitched with excitment.
Frostpaw opened her eyes when she finished counting. She wanted to try to use she senses to find everyone, but she considered it cheating. She decided to play like how they did when they were kits, though she always was quite clever. The pale she-cat instantly walked toward the medicine cat den, knowing Owlwing, he would want her to leave him alone as soon as possible, which he would probably do so by telling her if he had seen anyone. Unlike the rest of the apprentices, she didn't fear him. Frostpaw made her way to the etrance, and looked at the back of the medicine cat, waiting until he noticed her.
Owlwing watched as Morningpaw raced past the den and towards the back, shaking his head- she still acted like a kit. While he was working on organizing medications, he felt eyes burning into his back. Eventually, he turned, seeing Frostpaw. The medicine cat narrowed his eyes, giving the cat a look of annoyance. The two stared at each other for a while, but eventually, Owlwing relented with a grumble. "Behind the den, now scram." he growled, turning away once again.
Frostpaw smiled when he gave her an exact location, and trotted to behind the den, looking around for a moment before spotting Morningpaw's light pelt. "Found you." She purred, pouncing on her sister.
Silvermist felt his heart skip a beat at her words, he quickly got to his feet. "The kits?" He asked, worry painting his face. "What was it?" He added. Maybe it was just a dream, but Silvermist still felt fearful. Perhaps Brindlefoot saw or noticed something he didn't and now that was causing her nightmares? "Tell me everything, and we can figure this out."
Owlpelt watched as his apprentice ran past them, slowly, the brown cat stood, looking to his leader. "I agree." He stated, his tone serious. "Perhaps we should go to the twoleg half-bridge?" He suggested, referring to the broken down dock just outside of camp. He did not want any of the kits to hear their conversation.

Morningpaw started giggling when Frostpaw jumped on her and they began twirling and wrestling in the grass. She hadn’t felt such joy in what felt like a long time to her. “Let’s go find the others!” She exclaimed and jumped to her feet. “I’ll race ya to the big tree!” Morningpaw shouted before taking off towards the big tree where Duskpaw was hiding.
Brindlefoot closed her eyes and put her head down, she had to face her lies and manipulative ways. The only way she could do that was to leave and she believed she was doing what was best. Or was she convincing herself she was doing the right thing? Either way she had to make a choice, and that was to lie her way out of the clan. “I had a dream that the kits would destroy the clan. I think it was a sign that we don’t belong here.” Brindlefoot said quietly to the tom, hoping she was making some sort of sense to him. Could she take his kits from him? Most importantly, would he let her?
Redpaw froze when he heard Silvermist and Brindlefoot talking, hoping he wouldn’t hear something he didn’t want to. He watched as Morningpaw and Frostpaw ran towards the big tree, but suddenly felt his heart drop when he heard Brindlefoots words. The kits would destroy the clan? We don’t belong here? He started to breathe heavily, his mind racing with thoughts. What was the she-cat getting at? Were the kits leaving?
Moonstar nodded at Oakpelt, “we better.” She quickly finished up her fish and got up onto her feet and waited for Oakpelt so they could walk side by side to the bridge. The kits didn’t need to hear them talking about their mother, she was sure they were confused enough as it is. Once they made it to the bridge she stood in front of him, waiting for what else he wanted to say before she spoke again.

Frostpaw let out a quiet giggle, chasing after her sister. When they reached Moonstar and Oakpelt she stopped and gave then both a respected nod. "Good morning Moonstar and Oakpelt." She said in a very formal tone before following he sister once again. "I'll look over here." She told her sister, scampering to one side of the willow tree, looking through every bush and under every root for a hidden cat.
Silvermist watched Brindlefoot for a moment, his worry growing at a steady pace. "You're under a lot of stress, and I know that a lot of our clanmates are being....difficult... Couldn't that be why?" He asked, hope heavy in his tone, almost seeming to be pleading with Brindlefoot that she was mistaken. "Dreams happen all the time right? Maybe it was just a dream." He added, taking a step towards the she-cat. There was a heavy moment of silence, it was deafening to the tom What if it wasn't just a dream?"Azreal, it has to be stress. You know our kits, they are good! They would never harm the clan." Panic was beginning to show in Silvermist's face, he crouched down to be at the dark tabby's level. "Tell me what you saw- It has to be a mistake!"
Oakpelt followed Moonstar, sitting close beside her as he looked out to the water, seeing the main land in the distance. "If she goes, she won't leave empty handed." He told his leader, a slight hiss in his voice. "I haven't developed a deep enough relationship with Duskpaw yet to truly influence him. I do know though, that he will go with his siblings, no matter what." Oakpelt added, hoping Moonstar understood the issue with this. The siblings have only been apprentices for a short time, no mentor can build a repour with an apprentice within that time unless they were related. He was sure that with the right words, Brindlefoot could easily sway the siblings to leave with her- possibly even Silvermist as well.

Morningpaw jumped onto the tree trunk and looked around for any sight of the other apprentices. She walked gently to the other side and jumped down, slowly looking around, but it looked like this spot was clear.
Duskpaw watched Morningpaw jump down right in front of him, turning around and looking for someone. He fought to giggle as she looked right at him but didn’t see him. He waited until she was facing and away from him and pounced towards her, “boo!” He shouted and tackled her down, both giggling in the grass.
Brindlefoot put her ears back, she knew this was going to be Silvermists reaction. She felt guilt flood over her, maybe she could just run away alone without explaining herself? No, she needed her kits. They were hers. She stood up and looked him in the eyes with her ears back, “I saw them literally destroying nests and brush, arguing, but all I could hear them saying was that it’s Brindlefoot’s fault. I don’t believe we belong here, what kind of mother would I be if I left my kits?” Letting out a sigh she sat down, she always underestimated her lies. If he truly wanted his kits, he could fight for them.
Moonstar nodded slightly, “while you may be right about Duskpaw, I don’t believe Morningpaw would be as easy to convince. She has a connection with Owlwing and an even deeper connection with Silvermist.” Moonstar explained, almost hoping she was right. Silvermist was a very fine warrior, if she hadn’t chosen Owlwing to be deputy it would have been Silvermist. “But you never know, our suspicions aren’t always right. But I am right about Brindlefoot, she doesn’t deserve to take those kits. If this does happen-'' she paused and looked at Oakpelt, “we have to be beside Silvermist and fight for those kits.” She ordered, she wasn’t asking or suggesting. Brindlefoot was no good mother if she could take them from a safe home, where they belong.

Frostpaw bounded over to her siblings, her tail held high. She sat down a few tail lengths away, watching them as they tussled in the grass, more happy to observe than to take part. She narrowed her eyes, trying to think of where the other two would be. She decided they could make their way around the camp, Moonstar's den, nursery, elder's den, apprentice den, entrance, warriors den. Once she was happy with her plan she walked over to her siblings, bopping Duskpaw's head with her paw. "Found you." She purred.
"You've hardly spent time with them Azreal, when's the last time you shared a meal with them or shared tongues? You feel separated and that's why you are having such dreams." Silvermist insisted, though his expression did not match his words. "It was one dream, they are safe and happy here. I would never let what you saw let happen." The silver tom stood, taking in a deep breath, refusing to accept what she said as a message. He motioned to turn, but stopped half way and looked back at her, blue eyes examining the cat's face. "It was just the one right?" He asked, his tail twitching anxiously. "Owlwing hasn't told me that he has seen any odd signs and I'm sure if Starclan wanted to tell you something, they would send a message more than a dream." He looked away, searching in his brain to see if there was ever a tie he could remember where a cat had such a vision. "Try to spend more time with them...I'll..stay away for a bit. Just see if that helps." The tom wanted to give her some reassurance, a lick on the head or a friendly nudge, but he stopped himself, not wanting to make the situation even worse. "They are good kits, maybe you misunderstood...I'll talk to Owlwing, he will know what it means, it's his job to figure these things out." He knew he was flipping between believing her and denying his words, but the thought of her lying hadn't crossed his mind. He was too blinded by the thought of her simply being a good cat in a bad situation.
"I agree." Oakpelt said with a nod, believing his leader to be correct in her assumption. He felt some relief when she mentioned morningpaw and Owlwing's connection, glad that she had made such an observation. He decided that he will keep a closer eye on Morningpaw, she had always been a large influence on Duskpaw. "I'll discuss how Aspenpaw has been with Quietstorm, but I'll keep our conversation to ourselves though- Quietstorm is a great warrior but I fear she is too young to deal with this, especially since Aspenpaw is so close to Redpaw. I worry that she may not be able to keep this from Silvermist." The deputy turned his head to the grey she-cat, his yellow eyes filled with ambition, determined to keep these kits. "How has Frostpaw been fairing? She was very formal when she greeted us." The brown cat asked. He must admit, he felt relieved that they were having this conversation, it had been bugging him for moons.

Duskpaw let out a laugh and playfully pawed Frostpaws ear, “let’s go find the others shall we?” He said in a silly voice and signaled for Frostpaw to lead the way.
Brindlefoot growled at the toms words, thinking about her kits and the close relationship they had with their father. Her mind was fighting with herself whether or not she could leave her kits, but no matter what she had to leave. The clan didn’t accept her, and she didn’t blame them. She couldn’t bear to show Silvermist her true self, she and this whole situation was hurting him enough. “I’m sorry.” Brindlefoot mumbled to him as he left.
Redpaw felt anger flash through his body like a lightning strike, he couldn’t believe the words he had heard between Silvermist and Brindlefoot, or Azreal, or whatever. He had to tell Aspenpaw as soon as he could but he had to finish the game. Watching through the small hole he saw Silvermist leave the den, he hoped the tom would fight for the kits to stay. They were practically Redpaws siblings as well, growing up so close and Silvermist being a father figure to him. The feeling of unease swept over him, hopefully Owlwing would convince Silvermist that Brindlefoot is out of her mind.
Moonstar looked back to the water, appreciating the beautiful glare from the sun and chirping birds. Deep in thought, finding her mind wrapping around the thought of Brindlefoot. Why is this cat occupying my mind? Focusing her mind back to what Oakpelt had asked her she began to speak quietly, “Frostpaw is wonderful, just like the others she is wrapped up in her siblings. She’s doing great in training and I’d say we have a good relationship, but it’s still hard to tell.” She explained to the deputy, it was hard to find the right words to describe her feelings towards everything. “It can be hard when it’s your mother,” Moonstar added. No matter what they weren't letting go without a fight.

"We will make our way around camp." Frostpaw told the others, swatting away Duskpaw's paw as she spoke. Swiftly, she led the two through the camp, keeping an eye out for the two toms. When they reached the clearing, Aspenpw could be seen at the entrance, talking with Shadowtail. Frostpaw almost shouted that she had found them, but Shadowtail made her flustered. Quietly, she walked a little and sat down, making eye contact with Aspenpaw in an attempt to urge the cat to come over. Shadowtail was quick to see her, and seemed to have instructed the apprentice to go play with his siblings. "You were suppose to be hiding, not chatting." Frostpaw scolded, pawing at aspen. "Found you."
Aspenpaw rolled his eyes at Frostpaw's words. "It's not my fault you took so long. I got bored." He explained, but was quick to start hopping on his paws, ready to go. "Anyways, let's find Redpaw, he should be close by!" The gray tom exclaimed with a purr, racing around the clearing as she searched for his friend, nearly bumping into Silvermist who was heading for the medicine cat den. "Sorry!" He said quickly, not stopping as he spoke, wanting to be the first one to find Redpaw.
Silvermist gave the kits a smile, trying to hide his worry. Surely such good kits couldn't destroy the camp like Azreal had seen in that dream. Still, he wanted to check with Owlwing. "Owlwing...Have you received any signs from Starclan?" The tom asked as he entered the den.
Owlwing looked to his friend and shook his head. "No, why?"
"I was just wondering." Silvermist hesitated, remembering Brindlefoot's reaction when he had first mentioned Owlwing. "Just if you do... can you tell me?"
"If Morningpaw is worried about something, she can come talk to me about it, you can't be treating her like a kit. She will never learn if you keep this up." Owlwing scolded. "Did she think that she found a sign? And then for some reason decided to talk to her father- who knows nothing about medicine cats or prophecys, omens and Starclan- instead of the actual medicine cat that she was assigned to in order to have such concerns addressed?"
"No, I am just worried." Silvermist responded, stepping closer. "I had a weird dream where my kits were destroying the camp. I'm sure it was just a dream, but-" He said, a lie.
"So Brindlefoot had some dream?" Owlwing corrected with a grumble, quickly seeing through Silvermist's lie. "I can't see other cat's dreams. Unless I find an omen or have such a dream myself, I find it hard to believe that Starclan would do such a thing." Owlwing snorted.
Silvermist shifted on his paws, "I see....I'll let her know later. She seemed really worried."
"Of course she did." Owlwing's tone flat. "Now get out, I have stuff to do. Don't worry about the dream. I'll give her some poppy seeds for tonight. One dream is probably just a dream- no omens, no worries." Owling then hollered out Silvermist as the tom left. "Am send Morningpaw right here when they're done messing around."
Oakpelt listened carefully to Moonstar, his shoulders relaxing a bit. "That's true...We've been gone for a while Moonstar. I fear the others will notice." With that, the tom stood up. "I promise I will do what I can." he told the grey cat, turning his gaze back to the camp.

Redpaw noticed the others approaching the log he was hiding in, which was a relief. Anxiety was now running through his body and he had to tell Aspenpaw what he had heard. As the group got closer Redpaw jumped out at them, “Rah!” He teased and batted at Frostpaw since she was in the front of the group. He felt like they could see the worry in his eyes since he wasn’t very good at hiding his emotions. He looked up to Aspenpaw, how can I tell him that his mother is trying to take them away from the only home he’s known and his father? He put his head down, “Aspenpaw I need to talk to you, before everyone goes on patrol and training.” Redpaw said to the tom. He had to tell him before he found out himself, not to mention Redpaw couldn’t keep it to himself for very long.
Brindlefoot stood and made her way to the clearing, she smiled at her kits and laid in the sun closing her eyes. The kits didn’t deserve for her to take them away, but she couldn’t leave without them either. Silvermist will be crushed if she took them from him, oh what have I done?
Quietstorm finished up her prey as she watched the apprentices play around the camp. She loved watching them play, they were so young and innocent. They would all make fine warriors- and of course Morningpaw will be a wonderful medicine cat. She glanced at Brindlefoot, it would be nice if she did something for her own kits. Quietstorm wished her mate never ran off, Brindlefoot didn’t know how lucky she was to have all of her kits and their father around.
Monster stood up and took a step towards the camp before pausing and looking at Oakpelt, “all I know is that she comes from a line of manipulative liars, we need to watch what she tries to do. Anyways, sort out patrols. Don’t take Frostpaw, she’ll be going with me today.” She mewed to the tom and headed towards the big willow tree.

Frostpaw squeaked when Redpaw jumped out at her, backing to into her siblings behind her. She batted Redpaw gave. “The three of you need to relearn the rules.” She scolded, a purr in her voice, batting Redpaw between each word. When Brindlefoot exited the den however, he eyes were fully focused on the dark tabby. “Good morning Mother.” She said quietly, shifting on her front paws with uncertainty. She was nearly knocked over when Aspenpaw raced to Redpaw’s side.
“Ohhhh! Do you have a crush?” Aspenpaw teased, “oh-ah good morning Mother!” He added quickly, his eyes also following his mother as she walked into the clearing. Soon though, his ice blue eyes turned back to his friend. “Let’s go!” He purred, excited for the secret that his friend was going to share. Without waiting for Redpaw’s response, he trotted towards the back corner of the camp where he knew no one would hear them.
Oakpelt nodded, “very well.” He said, his eyes searching the camp for his apprentice. He sat down, and watched Dustpaw from a distance, noticing that the other mentors were almost ready to start their day as well.

Brindlefoot let out a purr when she heard Frostpaws voice and looked up to her, “good morning sweetie.” She responded before getting distracted by the sight of Silvermist. He was leaving the medicine den which meant he had spoken to Owlwing. Her mind shuffled with different scenarios of things that the medicine cat could have said to Silvermist, and no matter what she thought of, she resulted with the thought that she could always leave alone and never look back.
Morningpaw looked at her mother but didn’t say a word, the she-cat never spent time with her anymore. Morningpaw tries to blame it on how busy she is with her new duties, but she can’t persuade herself that it’s true. It was Bindlefoots fault, everything was in Morningpaws eyes.
Redpaw let out a sigh of frustration towards Aspenpaw, for once he was serious and not joking around about some crush. He followed Aspenpaw over to a secluded area and sat down in front of him. “It’s important Aspenpaw, I’m serious,” Redpaw tried to express to the tom. He paused for a moment thinking about how he wanted to say this to Aspenpaw, who was practically his brother. The two were so close that Redpaw didn’t ever have a problem telling him anything, until now. He gave the apprentice in front of him a concerned look before he spoke, “I overheard Silvermist and Brindlefoot talking when I was hiding… I don’t want to blabber on and on, the moral of the story is Brindlefoot is telling Silvermist that she and all of her kits don’t belong here. She’s trying to leave with you guys!” Redpaw quietly snapped and stood up, frustration running through his body. How could she?
Moonstar walked over to the willow tree and plopped herself onto the ground. Admiring the lush that finally was growing full since leaf-bare, and all of the bugs in the air. She began to cleanse herself, preparing to take Frostpaw out to do some training.
Quietstorm noticed Silvermist and quickly made her way over to him, the tom almost looked sick and she wanted to make sure he was okay. “Hi Silvermist, how are you?” She mewed gently, noticing uncertainty in the toms gaze. She tried not to blame Brindlefoot, but she knew the she-cat was never up to any good.

Silvermist jumped slightly when he heard Quietstorm's voice, but he gave the cat a smile in attempt to hide his nervousness. "Oh, good morning!" He greeted, "I'm fine- I'm good actually, very good." He added, however he knew he was an easy cat to read, even to those who did not know him very well. "I was just asking Owlwing about Morningpaw's training. Actually how about Aspenpaw, is he doing well? He's not causing too much trouble is he?"
Aspenpaw was confused by Redpaw's seriousness, he had been expecting an idea for a prank or something- maybe getting back at Duskpaws for all the trick he had pulled. Instead, Redpaw seemed nervous, scared even. Aspenpaw sat down and watched his friend, his ears flat against his head. He was stood when he heard what his parents had been talking abaout. "Why would we leave?" He asked, blue eyes wide. "I like it here! So does everyone else." Aspenpaw exclaimed, almost seeming to plead to his friend.

Quietstorm could tell something was wrong with Silvermist, but she didn’t want to pry it out of him. It wasn’t her place either, they weren’t particularly close but they had a good friendship. Thinking about Aspenpaw she smiled, “Aspenpaw is wonderful, he’s eager to learn which makes it easier to train.” She boasted her apprentice proudly, but her mind quickly returned to the thought of Silvermists mood. It was hard to ignore with the certain look in his eyes, “you can tell me anything. I might even be able to help you.” Quietstorm offered the tom, she felt a bit of sympathy for him.
Redpaw felt relieved at Aspenpaw words about wanting to stay, “I don’t want you guys to go! We have to do something!” Redpaw exclaimed, he couldn’t let those so close to him go. He already had to let go of his father, and now this? Brindlefoot had no right, but he knew him and Aspenpaw could come up with a plan. He leaned in towards Aspenpaw, “what if we tell Oakpelt? He’s Silvermists best friend, I-I think anyway. Or do you have a better plan?” Redpaw asked the apprentice, hoping he had any idea to solve this. They couldnt leave, they just couldn’t!

Silvermist knew she was going to ask, he wished he had grown uo to be a less honest cat. He gave her a friendly nudge and started walk, urging her with his tail for her to walk with him. "Ah well, Owlwing is in a modd...again." he lied, making a mental note to apologize to the medicine cat later. He knew he was not helping Owlwing's image whenever he used the tom as an excuse. "He told me to stop treating Morningpaw like a kit." He added with a laugh, trying to switch to a different subject. "I'm glad Aspenpaw is doing well...maybe we could have him and Redpaw do some combat training today? They were talking about it this morning."
Aspenpaw nodded quickly, leaning closer to the cat. "Yeah let's go right now!" He mewed urgently, but paused his steps when he saw Silvermist and Quietstorm nearby. "We can sneak around the dens." he added, crouching down into the grass, his eyes staying on his father. "If they catch us, we can just say we were playing, Father always falls for that." He kept watch as he waited for Redpaw to take the lead.
