Quietstorm shook her head at Silvermist as she walked beside him, “whatever you say.” She teased the tom, if he ever needed her help he would tell her. She slightly nodded her head at his idea, “I think that would be a great for them.” She agreed. “We should go soon.” She mewed to Silvermist before walking off towards Moonstar.
Redpaw quickly took the lead and made the extra long way to the medicine den. Once they were behind it he looked around to make sure not one was watching them, he looked back to Aspenpaw and whispered, “now!” He tiptoed around the corner quickly and made his way into the medicine den entrance. Once Aspenpaw squeezed into the entrance next to him, he cleared his throat to speak, “uh, Owlwing? Could we talk about something, like really fast?” Redpaw asked the medicine cat, he was prepared to get scolded at. But him and Aspenpaw had to shoot their shot and try solve this issue.

Silvermist nodded and watched her go. He began to scan the clearing for his kits. He quickly found the three but Aspenpaw and Redpaw were nowhere in sight. He shruged, he was sure they were still off playing somewhere. Quietstorm didn't seem in a rush so he decided to take the time to relax from his chat with Brindlfoot.
For once, Aspenpaw stayed quiet, allowing Redpaw to take the lead. He knew that Owlwing would want the information quickly and Redpaw was the only one who really knew what happened.
Owling had his back turned to the entrance when they came into the den. At the sound of Redpaw's voice, he released a long exasperated sign. He turned to the apprentices, his ears back. "Sure," He said, though his voice was heavy with annoyance at the interruption. "It's not like I have an important job or anything. I have all the time in the world to answer still questions from silly kits." Despite his words, the spotted tom still sat down on his bedding, his tail motioning for the two cats to come and talk with him. "What is it? Make it quick."

Redpaw gave Aspenpaw a side eyed look and looked back to Owlwing. He was surprised, but relieved to Owlwings rather calm response. “Moral of the story I overhead Brindlefoot telling Silvermist that their kits destroy the clan and that her and the kits don’t belong here.” He blurted out as quickly and clearly as he could so the tom could understand him. Taking a deep breath he quickly finished, “have you heard any of this? Should we be worried? Okay that’s all I’m going to say.” He politely smiled at Owlwing hoping he wouldn’t snap at him for talking to fast or too much.

Owlwing looked at the two for a moment, then looked away, a releasing a "tch" noise as he stood. "Did Quietstorm never teach you to not eavesdrop?" He asked, going back to his herbs, he needed to make room for new, fresh ones now that the snow had thawed. "You two need to learn to mind your own business- if you want to gossip then go to the elders' den..." he muttered under his breath as he pawed through some odd smelling dried leaves. "Look, Brindlefoot doesn't get to choose if you leave or not. You are all grown up, Aspenpaw, you make your own choices." Owlwing stated, giving geniune advice. Brindlefoot couldn't just waltz out of camp with the kits as she pleased, whether she wanted to or not. "Also, I'm pretty sure I'm the medicine cat here, and that I'm normally the go-to for all of the crazy prophecies and such, not Brindlefoot." The tom added, rolling his eyes. "As for if I have heard anything, last I check you were Redpaw not Redstar. So unless you come back with nine lives, you don't get to ask me foxdung, got it? Now get out and tell Morningpaw that if she isn't back she will be collect mousebile for the next moon." Owlwing barked, flicking his tail to dismiss the two.

Redpaw immediately turned around and walked out of the den, he never understood how Morningpaw got along with him. He turned to Aspenpaw as he followed him out of the den, “well that helped so much. Let’s forget about this, I’m going to go see Silvermist.” He mewed before padding slowly over to Silvermist who was near Brindlefoot and they other apprentices. As he approached his mentor he prepared himself to speak, hoping Silvermist was in a better mood than Owlwing. “Hey Silvermist, when are we going to train?” Redpaw asked his mentor, he was anxious to leave the camp and get out of his head. He wished he could stop Brindlefoot from leaving, what if the kits leave? Redpaw would be left to sleep in the apprentice den alone, no more shared meals.. He shook his head trying to get rid of the thoughts that burdened his mind.

Aspenpaw was quick to follow Redpaw out, giving Owlwing a quick "bye" as they turned and left the den almost stepping on dark tortoiseshell's heels as they walk. "I thought he would never stop lecturing us." He whisper, then nodded when Redpaw dismissed himself. He raced over to where his siblings where. "Morningpaw! Owlwing is mad again!" he warned her, almost completely forgetting what Redpaw had warned him about. He glanced around the camp, then looked to his siblings. "Guys... you like it here right?" He asked quietly, not wanting anyone to over hear.
Frostpaw flicked her ear in response. "Opposed to what?" She asked, not really expecting an answer. She didn't even see leaving the clan as an option, it was all that she and her siblings knew after all. She stood up and stretched, looking over towards Moonstar. "We should probably get going before Morningpaw gets in trouble." She said coolly, looking to Duskpaw and Morningpaw to see if they were coming with her. She walked past Aspenpaw and gave him an affection nudge as she passed him as she went to Moonstar, feeling odd to see the dark tabby so anxious.
Silvermist smiled at Redpaw and stood, his tail held high as it almost always was. "There you are!" He purred. "We couldn't find you or Aspenpaw so we assumed you were still playing. Are you ready for training?" He asked, motioning to Aspenpaw in the distance to come join them, wanting to gather the two up before they disappeared again.

Morningpaw froze when Aspenpaw asked such an odd question, flashing a shocked look at him. “Of course I do,” she felt as if she were defending herself, this was her home. She realized the worry in Aspenpaws eyes and pressed herself against him, “I will see later.” She mewed to him before making her way to the medicine den where Owlwing would be waiting for her. “I am here.” Morningpaw announced when she entered the den to find Owlwing by the medicine cabinet.
Moonstar stood up as Frostpaw approached her, “you look ready.” She observed the young she-cat proudly walking. Letting out a slight sigh she thought of the possibilities, would Frostpaw leave with her mother if she left? Even if so, they would surely find their way home someday.
Redpaw nodded excitedly, “I’m ready!” He felt like his normal self for a moment, forgetting about the worries that had burdened his mind. He shuffled his feet anxiously waiting for Silvermist to take the lead.
Quietstorm trotted over towards Silvermist and Redpaw. “Let’s go Aspenpaw,” she mewed to the apprentice who was a few tail lengths away. “We’re going to do some training with Silvermist and Redpaw.” She explained to him, hoping it would make him happy since the two apprentices were talking about it earlier.

Owlwing didn’t look up when Morningpaw entered, focused on removing the oldest dried up herbs from his storage area. He wanted to make sure that the ones that had lower remaining shelf-life due to the many moons of storage were to be used soon as to not become a waste. The moisture in the air causes rot to form quickly, he inspected each plant before placing them in two desperate piles. It was a task that he normally had Morningpaw do, but he wanted to have it done quickly. “Store these- they are to be used first. We will discard them when we are restocked.” He told her, motioning to one of the piles. He didn’t motion to where he wanted her to store them, near the treatment area for easy use, but he assumed she could figure it out after doing this task so often.
Oakpelt stood when he saw Duskpaw, he gave Moonstar a nod before he walked away towards his apprentice. “Duskpaw, I’m going to have you hunt for the clan today.” He told his apprentice. It will be the first time that Duskpaw has placed his new skills to actual use. Oakpelt felt confident in his apprentice, he felt that Duskpaw would also learn better by doing instead of watching. “Prey will be hungry and out, but also nervous.” He advised Duskpaw, guiding the cat towards the stone path that lead to the mainland. It was a decently long journey, but worth it.
Frostpaw nodded. “Yes, Moonstar.” She mewed, her voice was calm but her paws itched with excitement at what she would learn today, she felt determined to do her best. However, what Aspenpaw said still bugged her, he was always so cheerful that seeing him anxious felt wrong to her. “May I ask what we will be doing today?” She asked politely, her voice was feminine and sweet, a contrast to her serious expression.
“Good!” Silvermist purred, taking the lead in front of the others for a moment before allowing the two younger toms to bound ahead of him. “Quietstorm, where would you like to take them?” He asked, eyes remaining on the two apprentices in front of them. “Oakpelt is taking Duskpaw to the mainland forest, there’s a great clearing not far from there.” He added.
Aspenpaw could not keep his excitement inside, he rushed over to Redpaw, nearly knocking the tom over with an affectionate nudge. “Get ready to lose!” He challenged, taking a moment to crouch down in front of his friend, hunches high in the air as if he was about to pounce on the tom. His lack of experience was clear by his poor posture, and he was easily knocked over as Silvermist casually pawed him while passing the two apprentices.
“Hurry up or we will leave you two behind.” The silver tom purred, teasing the two kits as he walked.

Morningpaw nodded at her mentor and began to grab the herbs and set them down near the treatment area. It had only been about a moon since she became a medicine cat apprentice but a lot of things were now routine to her. In the middle of moving the herbs she got the sudden reminder of Aspenpaws question and the look in his face. Something was off, she could feel it.
Duskpaw jumped up, excitement rushing through his body. He puffed out his chest, “I won’t let you down!” Oakpelt trusted him enough to finally go on a hunting patrol, he wouldn't mess this one up. He followed his mentor to the mainland, making sure to stay close behind.
Moonstar smiled at Frostpaw and began leading the way to the mainland, “I think it would be nice to hunt together, and we could do any training that you chose.” The apprentice had been training long enough to know what she wants to improve, and today felt like the day to let her decide.
Quietstorm walked next to Silvermists as they headed toward the mainland, “that sounds like a good place,” she agreed. As they led the way the apprentices were fooling around, she looked back and gave the two a warning look.
Redpaw stumbled back from Aspenpaw as he nearly knocked him over. “Yeah we’ll see about that,” Redpaw mewed confidently and put his nose in the air and followed the mentors. He let out a laugh when Silvermist pawed Aspenpaw and gave him a teasing look.

(If you want Frostpaw to go to the mainland too, let me know and I'll change it)
Once owlwing was happy with the organization of the den, he gave it was quick glance over, making sure not a leaf was out of place. "Morningpaw." He addressed, glancing over to the apprentice. "I want you to promise me something very important." While he was speaking, he left the den, nodding in greeting to those who walked by. He walked towards the old twoleg half-bridge, deciding to gather some local herbs now that new-leaf has come. Borage, coltsfoot, feverfew and fennel all grew on the island; tomorrow he will set off with an escort and Morningpaw to gather more distant growing herbs. "If you ever have a doubt, even a small one, you are to speak with me." He told her calmly, stopping to look back at her. "If you have a silly dream, or see a rock that looks odd, you tell me." He then turned his attention to the shoreline. "Now, I plan to stay on the island to find herbs-what do you think I'm hoping to find today?"
Oakpelt let out a small purr at Duskpaw's enthusiasm, it was rare for him to show this side to anyone outside his family. The brown cat lead his apprentice forward. "Watch your step, it's still icy. The water seems calm but it can pull even the greatest swimmers under if you are neglectful." He warn the black cat, making sure to keep a close eye on him with each step, ready to pull him back up if needed.
Frostpaw's eyes widened for a moment, proud that she was also getting to go to the mainland. "Hunting is fine, I think it is my weakest skill set at the moment." She responded, looking at her paws as they walked, feeling a bit embarrassed at her excitement. She looked up as she saw the three toms ahead of them, racing around. She narrowed her eyes at their backs, as if silently commanding them to be more mindful of their surroundings. Unlike them, she took each step with surefootedness, not wanting to slip into the freezing waters below.
Aspenpaw playfully growled at Redpaw, "Let's make a bet then!" He suggested, his blue eyes wide with excitement as he spoke, he thought Redpaw would make for a great rival, and he was determined to win. "Loser has to...take all the winner's bedding clearing duties until the next full moon!" He suggested.

(So sorry about the late response)
Morningpaw nodded slowly in confusion as she followed her mentor, first Aspenpaw asked her a weird question and now this? “I promise.” It was important that Owlwing trusted her and she trusted him, she wanted to show him that she was trustworthy and loyal. Taking only a moment of thought on the mentors question she responded, “well since you plan to stay on the island I’m going to assume your hoping to find fennel, borage, and coltsfoot!” Morningpaw exclaimed confidently to the tom, “oh wait! And feverfew!” She said with a giggle. Owlwing hasn’t wasted a minute training Morningpaw and she has soaked it all up, plus she always tries to impress the tom.
Duskpaw looked down and watched his paw steps over the bridge, once he made it over he twirled in excitement and waited for Oakpelt to take the lead again. He never thought his mentor would tell him he could hunt for the clan, which made him even more excited since hunting was his stronger aspect. He closed his eyes and soaked in the sun for a moment, his black pelt more than literally soaking up the sun.
Moonstar smiled at Frostpaws response, delighted that the young she-cat was excited to hunt despite it being her weakness. She followed Frostpaw carefully over the bridge and signaled to the she-cat to walk next to her. As they made the short journey to the forest Moonstar looked over to Frostpaw, “you’re growing into a fine cat Frostpaw..” she trailed off, hoping the young cat wouldn’t take this the wrong way. “Just make sure all of the decisions you make are for you, and not for anyone else.” She focused back onto the trees that were now approaching closely, silently hoping that Frostpaw would take her advice seriously.
Redpaws mouth dropped at Aspenpaws bet but quickly changed his expression to a smirk, “bet!” He shouted at the tom. Redpaw had to win this bet, he couldn’t take on two cats' bedding duties. He puffed out his chest and put his nose in the air again. He noticed they were finally approaching the big clearing that their mentors were talking about. “Beat you there!” Redpaw shouted after he took off towards the large clearing.
Quietstorm shook her head and gave Silvermist a side eye as the apprentices went running off, “I don’t remember being so wild.” The she-cat admitted as she admired the apprentice's energy.

(No worries! Sorry it took me so long, I wanted to have the group rps responded to first so that I wasn't delaying a bunch of people haha)
Owlwing was about to correct his apprentice, but he purred when she had corrected herself. He nodded happy with the answers she gave him. "Correct, now let's go collect a decent amount, then I will show you how to dry and store them." He told her, heading towards where the herbs tended to grow. There was an okay amount, not a lot, but enough to get them closer to how stocked up he normally liked to be.
Oakpelt took the apprentice deep into the woods, stopping when he reached a large oak tree, much taller than every other tree in the forest. "Take a good look at this tree, this is our meeting mark. I will stay quite close to you, but if you get lost, I want you to come here." He told his apprentice, sitting down watching Duskpaw to make sure he was listen. "I can find you if you get too lost, but you should be able to use your own senses to find this tree, even without it's height."
Frostpaw looked to her mentor for a moment, not the clan? she thought to herself. She always thought that she had been expected to put the clan before herself. She thought back to what Aspenpaw had said, but they were already nearing the forest edge. The silver cat looked at the tree line, then back at Moonstar expectantly, awaiting for her instructions.
Redpaw laughed at Redpaw's excitement and raced after him. As they reached the clearing, the dark tabby pounced onto Redpaw, bringing him to the ground before racing ahead. "Oppss! Sorry" He teased with a purr, reaching the clearing first. "You better step up your game if you want to win Redpaw!" He growled playfully, bouncing on his paws.
Silvermist watched the two then looked back to Quietstorm. He almost mentioned the time they spent as apprentices, but remembering Foxspots had stopped him. "I'm sure they will say the same thing when they become apprentices." He purred, slowing down his pace as they reached the clearing. "You two will be out of energy before we even start at this right." He mewed, indicating for the two apprentices calm down before he would begin their lessons.

( of course no worries! I took a long time again lol)
Morningpaw put her tail up high and puffed out her chest after Owlwing praised her. She lifted her head and tasted the air for any herbs, the smell of fennel and borage nearby. “I think I can smell fennel and borage!” She mewed confidently and trotted over to the brush, searching for the herbs she could smell in the air. “Here! Is this borage?” Morningpaw asked Owlwing and gestured to the blue flowers. She took in a deep sniff of them, “yep it has to be!” She exclaimed, proud of herself for finding one of the herbs on her own.
Duskpaw looked the tall tree up and down and took it all in, as well as the excitement he felt. “Okay,” he replied to Oakpelt, looking around the forest to find a good place to hunt. He knew he might as well stay near the tree so he wouldn’t get lost. He crouched down to listen closely to the ground, he could hear the slightest scuffling near the tree trunk. Duskpaw slowly stalked around the tree until he caught the sight of a mouse, he wiggled his haunches and went for the pounce, luckily grabbing onto the mouse and digging his claws into its small body. He picked up his catch then strutted past Oakpelt, dropping the catch under a brush.
Moonstar gestured to keep walking towards the trees before speaking, “you pick the spot and we can do some hunting.” She mewed to Frostpaw who looked eager to get to the point. The more Moonstar observed the young she-cat she realized how distant she really was, and that was okay.
Redpaw slapped Aspenpaw, “listen to your father!” He mewed teasingly to the other apprentice. He turned to the mentors and waited eagerly for their instruction.
Quietstorm looked at Silvermist once the apprentices calmed down, pondering what kind of battle moves they should practice. “What do you think they should practice?” She asked the tom, who more than likely already had something in mind for the apprentices. It had been a long time since they all went out into the mainland for training and she loved the open grass area. The wind running through her fur and the distant noise of the waves crashing onto the shore.

Owlwing said nothing, he glanced to be sure that she was harvesting the herbs correctly from a distance, but began to gather other herbs himself, not wanting to waste time. She seemed to be doing a good job from what he saw. He walked over to the willow tree, and pulled some young branches down, bringing them over to Morningpaw. It wasn't as good as ivy for carrying herbs, but it was better than nothing. "bend the branch until it's pliable, then you can use it to wrap up herbs. Make sure you tie it tighTly- I want nothing to be wasted." He explained as he demonstrated to her.
Oakpelt kept close watch on Duskpaw as they hunted, making sure to keep a good distance away as to not distract the apprentice- though if Duskpaw paid attention, he would be aware of his presence. The apprentice was still rather new, and Oakpelt did not want to allow any prey to slip away. Whenever Duckpaw would hide some prey, Oakpelt would go check. He was happy with the markings, minimal, proper killing bites. Duskpaw was on his way to become a fine hunter, especially for his age.
Frostpaw nodded. "Yes, Moonstar." She glanced around the tree line, she then looked back to Moonstar before leading the way confidently. She keep an eye out for owl nests, knowing that would be a good sign that prey would be found- she remembered how Silvermist seemed to mentor them while they were still kits- telling them tips, play fighting, letting them attack him as if his tail was prey. They were fun memories, but only when she became an apprentice did she come to realize that he had been attempting to give them an advantage. When she found an owl nest that was clearly still in use, she turned to her mentor. "I would like to hunt here."
"Listen to your mentor and mother." Aspenpaw retorted with a giggle, sitting close to his friend as he eagerly watched their mentors.
"Alright you two, enough." Silvermist purred, he then looked to Quietstorm. "Since there's four of us. We could do some partner fighting." He suggested. Feeling that Aspenpaw and Redpaw would learn well if they worked together. "What do you think partner?" He added with a friendly nudge.

Morningpaw watched closely as Owlwing showed her how to make a small pouch for the herbs, nodding as he explained. She attempted it herself with the herbs that she had collected but accidentally tore it, eh, can’t be good at everything. Instead of worrying about Owlwing watching her she grabbed another branch down and tried it again with her herbs, succeeding this time. “Ahha.” Morningpaw mewed in an excited tone, she loved learning new things. “Shall I grab more?” She asked her mentor and took a big whiff of the herbs, taking in each sweet smell of them all.
Duskpaw strutted with pride passed Oakpelt with each kill, now dropping his fourth kill into his pile under a bush. He stood and observed his kills, realizing he was only catching mice. He shrugged it off and padded quietly over to Oakpelt, being aware just in case the tom found a kill. “I got four mice! Have you found anything?” Duskpaw mewed quietly to his mentor, he was just curious to see what kind of prey he had caught.
Moonstar dipped her head at her apprentice, “very well then, I’m going to go a bit further ahead. This will be our meeting spot if you get lost. Otherwise stay nearby.” She mewed and proceeded a few tail lengths ahead, finding a small rocky area amongst the trees. “Stay out of nests!” Moonstar shouted behind her. She stood and took in all of the scents getting ready for her hunt.
Redpaw rolled his eyes at Aspenpaw, who clearly had a sense of humor today.
Quietstorm gave Silvermist a look of surprise, “sounds good to me,” she mewed and changed her expression to a smirk. She looked to the apprentices who were eager to begin, “you both have done partner training before with the others. Remember to keep your claws sheathed, and teach each other. We learn from each other,” she mewed and looked back at Silvermist to see if he had anything else to say.

Owlwing nodded, now several fox lengths away. "One more bundle that size, never harvest everything, only take what you think you'll need." He told her. While they did have some old herbs to be used up, it was far from wasteful. He expected to have them all traded or used up within the next moon. He gathered any bundles into a neat pile, inspecting each one, including his own. "Make sure you tie the branch a little tighter." He told her, unconcerned. He just wanted to avoid having freshly harvested herbs wasted. "I'll start bringing these back, once you finished that bundle, go to the den." He ordered, taking a few bundles into his mouth before walking away.
Oakpelt glanced at Duskpaw's pile, and nodded in approval. "Mice are very popular within the clan, good job." He purred, then he walked away, indicating with his tail for the black cat to follow, he lead him to a different brush and used his paw to move the leaves and allow Duskpaw to look. There sat a thrush, two mice, a rabbit and three shrews. "It's important to try to search for different prey, even ones you aren't used to hunting. When prey is scarce we have to be confident in our abilities to hunt whatever we can." He told Duskpaw, moving is paw when he felt the apprentice was done looking. "You are doing very well, you hunt better than most your age." He added, feeling proud. "Let's hunt a little more. I want you to catch one bird."
Frostpaw nodded, quickly, she took in her surroundings and then disappeared into the forest, the scent of the owl nest engraved into her mind. She stalked silently in the undergrowth, focusing on everything her mentor and father had taught her. She spotted a shrew only a few tail lengths away. Holding her breath, she crept forward, leaping onto the creature. It released a squeak before she silenced it. She hissed under her breath, she had hesitated too long and now all the prey in the area will be aware of her presence. After burying her prey, she ventured away from where she was, taking note of her surroundings before she found indications of more prey, she went back into a crouch, ready to continue her hunt.
Silvermist grinned in an almost childish manner, the resemblance he had to Aspenpaw was suddenly shocking. "I have an idea, a good one." He told her then looked at the two apprentices. "They will go against us, but no verbal communication." He suggested. "You will have difficultly defending yourself and your partner if you enemy knows you every move." He glanced to the she-cat beside him, silently asking if she was ready to begin.

Morningpaw dipped her head at her mentor, “alright.” She mewed and tightened the tie on her herb bag. Admiring the herbs as she collected them, grabbing just as much as she needed. Once she was all finished she grabbed both of her herb pouches and made the trip back to camp. Morningpaw entered the camp and respectfully dipped her head at any cat she passed. Entering the medicine den she set the herbs next to Owlwing, standing up proudly after doing so. She didn’t say a word and just awaited his instructions if he had any more tasks for her.
Duskpaw felt anxious once Oakpelt brought up catching a bird, “alright..” he mumbled, trying not to doubt himself. He trudged along the trees quietly looking for the sight of any bird. Catching a glimpse of a finch, oh I got this! He thought confident thoughts as he broke into a crouch, silently making his way closer to the bird. Thinking of all of the things he has learned in the past he confidently pounced once he was close enough. Duskpaw held it tight under his paw but it quickly escaped his grip. He launched himself up after the bird and caught it by its wing and brought it to the ground, quickly making a killing bite before it got away again. “Woo! I got it!” He mewed quietly, but excitedly, to himself.
Quietstorm listened to Silvermist and giggled to herself, “you're right.” She mewed and jumped at the tom, tackling him to the ground like a pair of kits playing.
Redpaw quickly looked at Aspenpaw and jumped onto his back, holding onto his shoulder and trying to bat at his ears at the same time. He let out a giggle and accidentally fell off Aspenpaw and hit the ground, letting out a hysterical laugh at himself. He tried to cover up his face knowing the other apprentice was going to attempt some sort of move on him.

(I'm pretty sure they don't ACTUALLY dry out the herbs but I'm doing it anyway haha)
Owlwing nodded and muttered to himself for a moment, before placing his attention back on Morningpaw. "Good." He stated, he went and and gathered some ivy, much more flexible than the branches the herbs were currently wrapped in. "The fennel will be wrapped by the stem and hung." He told her as he demonstrated, watching her copy him. "The the rest will taken apart and the useful parts will be dried on that rock." He told her, inspecting her work before hanging up each wrapping of fennel she completed.
Oakpelt purred, pleased when he saw his apprentice catch the bird, he silently continued to hunt, wanting to allow his apprentice to enjoy his knew found confidence.
Silvermist laughed and rolled, pinning his attacker. He gave her a playful look, proud of his quick reaction. He was caught off guard however, when Aspenpaw tackled him off of the she-cat.
Aspenpaw chose to race around his friend, giving the tom a teasing look was he raced past, not wanting to be the loser, he knew he had to also help defend Quietstorm. He tackled his father boldly, causing the silver tom to stumble off Quietstorm, while still remaining on his feet. He was ready to rear up his paws and swipe at the larger cat.
Silvermist backed away from Aspenpaw quickly, and glanced to Redpaw, wanting his apprentice to come pin the distracted apprentice. Aspenpaw was his son, but Silvermist would not go easy on him.

(Haha okay!)
Morningpaw listened attentively to Owlwing as she always did, making sure she knew every word he said. She proceeded to do exactly as she told him, taking apart the herbs and setting the important part on the rock the mentor gestured to. She worked quietly and precisely, often getting lost in her own thoughts. Reflecting on Aspenpaws question from earlier, you guys like it here, right? It almost rang in the back of her mind, like a tick you can’t shake. I hope this day can’t get any weirder.
Duskpaw puffed out his chest and picked up his catch, marching towards the bush where he had been keeping his catches. He was so proud of himself for his catches, he wanted to challenge himself to catch something else now- maybe a shrew. He stalked quietly near the ground, searching for anything other than a mouse.
Quietstorm watched as Aspenpaw tackled Silvermist and felt pride swell in her chest, ha! she quickly stood, making sure she was ready for anyone to pounce at her.
Redpaw slightly dipped his head at Silvermist to let the tom know he’s coming. He broke into a quick run and pounced at Aspenpaw, colliding into the apprentice. The force of Redpaws jump sent them rolling a few tail lengths away, fighting to tackle the other down. He almost pinned the other apprentice down but quickly lost his footing, falling directly onto Aspenpaws belly.

(I'm just doing Silver, aspen and owl for now to make my life easier haha)
Owlwing ran in and out of the den often, occasionally checking on his apprentice's work before racing to another part of camp. He was beginning to wonder how he had managed to preform all of his tasks without an apprentice for so long. He was rather distracted by his running around, and hadn't noticed how concerned Morningpaw was.
Silvermist was proud of Redpaw's pounce, while he didn't stick the landing, it was a great improvement from before. The tom turned his attention back to Quietstorm, crouched down as he circled her, waiting for an opening.
Aspenpaw squeeled when he was pounced on, releasing a laugh when Redpaw stumbled. Grabbing onto his friend with sheathed paws, the cat proceeded to kick at Redpaw with his hind legs, pinning the cat to himself as he did so. The dark tabby would hardly think of this as training, it was very similar to how they played all the time. Perhaps the two were just natural born warriors. When Aspenpaw was happy with his kicked, he attempted to roll to pin down his friend as he had seen Silvermist do earlier.

(Sounds good, after the battle training he can time skip to them all in the clan to avoid rping them going back?)
Quietstorm watched Silvermist as he circled her, turning her head as he slowly crept around. She was lashing her tail expecting the tom to jump at her, ready to duck out of his way. But she decided to quickly stand and pounce onto his back as Redpaw attempted to do to Aspenpaw previously. She grabbed onto his shoulders ash much as she could without unsheathing her claws.
Redpaw remembered what Silvermist had always told him, roll out of the way before they pin you. He watched as Aspenpaw rolled and he quickly rolled the opposite way, dodging Aspenpaw. He took a moment to catch his breath, knowing Aspenpaw would get him back for dodging him so well.

Silvermist was impressed by Quietstorm's attack, she was very agile. The tom made sure to make note of that. The silver cat reared up onto his hindlegs, not wanting roll onto his back in case it would hurt the she-cat. When he managed to shake her off, he looked back as her and laughed. Quickly, he pounced on the she-cat again, taking a moment to look away from her to observe the two apprentices, checking their forms. She was glad to see that Redpaw was doing as he had been taught.
Aspenpaw released a playful growl, caught off guard by his friend's movement. He quickly rushed forward, swiping at the cat with his front paws, staying light on his paws. He tried to be mindful of his movements and watched Redpaw closely, not wanting to be caught off guard again.

Quietstorm let out a laugh when Silvermist knocked her off, and while she caught her breath the tom pounced on top of her. She leaned to the side making the roll to the side instead of on top her, which made her laugh again.
Redpaw stumbled backwards at Aspenpaws force, and tried to swipe that cat back. Aspenpaws repetitive swiping made Redpaw stumble to the ground, “what the heck! How are you even getting me by doing that?” He complained, and rolled his eyes with irritation. He stood back up and glared at the apprentice, and started to swipe him across the muzzle a few times. “How do you think it?”

Owlwing quickly walked over the herbs, giving Morningpaw an approving bids before grabbing some poppy seeds from the back of the den. “You’re rping well.” He told her as he walked past her, glad to have her preforming this task. The spotted tom made his way to the clearing where Brindlefoot was. Despite not liking the she-cat, he always remained professional once she was part of the clan, his position did not allow him to be biased. “I have some poppyseeds for you to take before you sleep tonight.” He told her, placing the exact amount she needed in front of her. “Silvermist told me that you had a nightmare.” He said explained, taking a moment to examine her. “You seem well rested.” He added.
Silvermist signed dramatically, taking another chance to glance at the two young cats across the clearing. As he looked, he heard Aspenpaw’s call.
“Silvermist, Redpaw broke the rules and talked!” Aspenpaw shouted in an exaggerated, tattletale tone. He gave Redpaw a teasing look, prepared to get pounced on again.
Silvermist laughed then looked to Quietstorm, silently agreeing that maybe her comment about the two toms being more energetic than the average apprentice had been correct.

Morningpaw dipped her head as a thank you to her mentor who praised her, and continued her job. She noticed him grab some poppy and leave the den, so she stuck her head slightly out of the den and watched him give it to Brindlefoot. The medicine cat apprentice rolled her eyes and turned around towards the medicine den, fishing up her job.
Brindlefoot looked up Owlwing with a confused expression, “right.. thank you.” She thought back to Silvermist, of course he told Owlwing. The last thing she needed was for Owlwing to get involved, she knows he will get defensive when she tries to take the kits with her. Oh well, they are my kits. She selfishly thought as she eyed the poppy seeds in front of her.
Redpaw rolled his eyes, of course I broke the rules. He jumped at Aspenpaw and gave him a playful shove for telling on him.
Quietstorm laughed and shook her heads at the apprentices, admiring their liveliness. She looked to Silvermist and smiled, “if only I have that much energy.” She mewed playfully and laid down to catch her breath.

Owlwing's tail thumped onto the ground after she spoke. "Don't be a waste of good herbs." He told her, indicating that he fully expected her to take the poppy seeds before she sleeps tonight. There was a brief moment of silence before he spoke again. "Nightmares normally reflect a cat's true thoughts and feelings." He told her; he suspected that she had lied to Silvermist. The she-cat ignored her kits and former mate, and only when she wanted something did she talk to Silvermist. He had seen his friend bend over backwards to keep her happy, especially when she had been expecting. Perhaps she had thought she could live her whole life being pampered by the tom, then when she realized she was expected to pull her own weight did she retreat and become a recluse. Clan life wasn't easy, healthy cats starved to keep the young, old and sick fed. It was different from the world Brindlefoot had been a part of before the kits. "Sometimes even intentions." He added, looking at the she-cat with a stern gaze. "If you have more of them, talk to me. Silvermist isn't your mate anymore, it shouldn't be his burden to carry." Owlwing then stood, still watching the cat. "That goes double for the kits. Have a good day Brindlefoot. I hope you can rest well tonight." The tabby gave her a nod farewell, amber eyes still narrowed before he walked back to the den.
Silvermist laughed and nodded, laying beside her. "We could feed two clans if we did." He mewed in agreement, watching the apprentices as they tussled in the sandy dirt. "So much for a training session, it became more of a play date." He added with another light-hearted laugh. The tom stood, he shook his body, causing a cloud of sand to fall back onto the earth beneath him. "Perhaps we could try to hunt on our way back?" He suggested, looking at the she-cat as he wanted for her opinion. He then glanced to Redpaw and Aspenpaw. "Alright you two, it's a draw. Clean yourselves off!"

Brindlefoot wanted to roll her eyes at Owlwings statements, but she knew he was right. The lying was worse than her just running off, but she in too deep now. Truth is Silvermist deserved than Brindlefoot, he deserved an equal mate. Shaking her head she thought of all the things he had done for her and the kits, and she was going to selfishly rip them away from him. She had to come come up with a story to convince the kits to leave with her, but what?
Quietstorm giggled and stood up after Silvermist, “yes we should,” she mewed before shaking out her pelt.
Redpaw dusted himself off and trotted after the mentors, delighted with his battle moves he performed. He gave Aspenpaw a teasing glare as he trotted with his tail held high.

Owlwing stirred in his sleep, slowly opening his eyes as the rays of the morning sun poured into the den. Silently, he stretched before quickly grooming himself. Without delaying any further, he stood and walked over to the herbs that had been left out to dry, inspecting them to ensure that they were drying correctly. He shifted a few of the flowers and leaves to allow for more room on the stone. He planned to take Morningpaw to the mainland to collect more herbs not found on the island. He had wanted to trade some last night, but Silvermist came back to camp rather late. When the tom was finished, he looked to his apprentice, deciding it would be best to wake her up. The journey to the main land was long so she needed to be awake and ready quickly. "Morningpaw." He called, poking her gently with his forepaw. He narrowed his eyes, noticing that she seemed to be stirring in her sleep.

Morningpaw woke up to find herself standing and overlooking a large lake, she looked around beginning to panic as she turned around to find the lake surrounding her. She glanced down quickly but suddenly the ground beneath her disappeared, flailing her arms and legs as if she could prevent herself from falling in. As she fell in it felt like time had slowed, she stopped flailing her legs and watched below her as she slowly sunk down.
She jumped back, accidentally letting go of her breath, when a large white and silver koi fish appeared in front her. She panicked when she attempted to bring herself to the surface for air but couldn’t, but quickly realized she was able to breath under the water.
Staying still Morningpaw watched as three other koi fish appeared, she looked closely at them, observing each and every color of them. One completely black, one black and white, and a calico one. Comfort flooded over her with how familiar the fish looked to her. She admired the koi fish as they started to intertwine with each other, swimming in circles, playing like her and her siblings did when they were kits. Suddenly the fish split into two, the black and calico fish going one way and the other two going the opposite way.
Confusion ran through Morningpaws body, she quickly looked back and forth trying to watch as they swam away from each other. But the water slowly grew murky and dark to the point where she couldn’t see the fish any longer. She looked down to her paws, but the water was now pitch black. She felt herself being brought back up by a current, feeling the water burst as she emerged from the surface, waking suddenly to see Owlwing. She gasped for air, still feeling the cold water on her pelt. “I-I just had the realist dream I’ve ever had.” She looked at the tom with confusion, trying to make sense of what she had just dreamed of.
(Ah, I hope it’s good cx )

(It was wonderful! Good job!)
Owlwing stared at her for a moment. He quickly sat down beside her, his eyes examining her. "What was it?" He asked quickly, clearly concerned about what she had just said. He felt his stomach tie into knots. Did she have a vision? She was so young that it troubled Owlwing, but he knew from the way that she stirred that it was no usual nightmare. He gave the she-cat a quick lick on the forehead to calm her nerves. "Tell me everything you saw, do not leave a single detail out. It's very important that you try to remember it as clearly as you can." If it was a vision, he believed she should be able to remember it with ease. To this day, he still remembered his first. The event had shook him to the core.
