(thank you, that means a lot to me right now.) (I drew a little something! i had a bit of a hard time with Phoenix's scales but i think it came out alright! i am a bit sleep derived at the moment so my art isn't the best.) (if you would like me to change anything just ask me!)
I tweaked Rooks design a little bit, i just gave him some prong horns and gave him more of a horse like face.)) ((Girl, whenever you need me to hype you up I will be there. Honestly, if you ever need to talk in general I’ll be here for you. Just talk to be here or shoot me a PM. I’m all ears. Also daaaaaaang you got some skill! That’s really good! And no, you nailed Phoenix. (Thank you!)

((Is there room for another Rper?)) Hello! There is definitely room for another Rper! You can either join Rook and Phoenix or I can create another dragon for you to rp with!))

Phoenix looked to Rook, deciding to make an attempt at joking around. “Well, it’s been seventy years since you last woke up.” He said, making his voice raspy and shaky, “you thought you were dead.” He said. He then laughed a little and said, “I’m just kidding. It’s just the next day. He then looked as Rook sat, “oh no no no.” He said as he trotted over, leaning down to push Rook back up to his feet with his snout, “you’re coming out hunting with me.” He said simply. “You’re small so you’ll be able to easy get in the smaller spots animals run off to.” Rook chuckled softly at Phoenix joked. "I thought I would have grown a bit in that time." Rook glanced down at his feet. Rook grumbled as he was nudged back to his feet. "Where are we going to hunt?" He asked softly. His gaze scanned the surrounding forest. There didnt seem to be much to hunt here. Rook tested the air. Nothing but song birds, pine pitch, and snow. Those would not make much of a breakfast unless you were a plant eater.

((Awesome! As for where I should hop in, I can do either one. If Rook and Phoenix are good alone then I can rp with a different character, up to you))
Arkale was currently walking along the forest floor. His deep red scales didn’t make him the most camouflaged in the forest, but he was sure he’d be fine. He had black wings, black horns, and a black scaled ridge going down his back and tail. He had deep crimson eyes that almost seemed to have a fire behind them. He walked towards the nearby mountains, figuring he’d hide in one of the caves and hunt in the mountains while waiting for more prey to migrate into the forest.

Phoenix let out a rumble of laughter, “come, we’ll fly to the area I found that herd of deer earlier.” He said simply. And with that he pumped his wings until he was hovering just off the ground. He then simply scooped Rook up with all four of his legs. “Don’t worry I won’t drop you.” He said in reassurance before flying higher, going above the trees before beginning to travel in the direction he had gone in before. “Let me know if you see something I don’t alright?” He asked. His scales natural began to shift to match the blueish color of the sky.
((Ash if you want you could have Arkale stumble upon the same herd and they can all run into eachother there?

As he continued walking, Arkale all of a sudden smelled a series of new scents. Prey... He thought. He suddenly changed course and walked towards the source of the scent. If he could find the prey, he’d be set for a day or two!

Rooks ears flicked back as he was lifted I to the sky. He had never left the ground before and he was astonished by how diffrent the ground looked from the sky. The deep green pine trees seemed to blend together and create a large green blanket, that to Rook seemed to never end. "Woah." He whispered. "I bet you can see my old home from here." He chuckled softly.
(I'm up for that!)

Phoenix let out a rumble like purr at the thought of home, “maybe.” He said, “we don’t know it yet, but maybe we can also see our new home from here to Huh?” He asked. He kept flying for a few minuets before suddenly diving down upon spotting the tiny heard. He flew down almost silently, dropping Rook just a few feet before landing ahead of him. “There.” He said, crouching as he made himself blend into his surroundings. “In the field.” He whispered. “You go around the left. I’ll take the right. We pick off whichever are the weakest links. You scare them over me when I give you the signal okay?” He said, not waiting for an answer as he silently stalked off into the brush.

Arkale had reached the herd of prey and was now preparing his attack. Being a solitary hunter, Arkale was much more accustomed to sneaking up to his prey, waiting out of sight, then leaping out at the best moment to get as many as he could. Currently he was nestled in some underbrush by the edge of the woods closest to the heard, waiting for enough of the animals to migrate close enough.

((K guess I’ll just work with just us rn
Phoenix crept around the clearing, keeping closer to the outskirts. He did know Arkale was so close by, focused completely on the herd. He felt hunger gnawing at his stomach, and he began to grow impatient. He looked out for Rook.

((Lol I guess))
Arkale was still patiently waiting in the grass. Soon enough, the herd started migrating around their feeding site as they grazed, and eventually about a half-dozen animals were in his vicinity. Sure that might be a bit much for his stomach, but he could always store the meat and use his fire to burn out the water. He let out a loud snarl and leaped forward, easily grabbing an animal in each of his big paws and biting another with his mouth. The herd of course was immediately onto him so he had to bite, roast, or grab any animal he could while they were within his range in the three seconds he had before the group nearest him were gone.

Phoenix grunted as he didn’t see Rook, but he suddenly noticed something else emerge from the brush sending the deer running. He growled, seeing the deer flee. He could waist time. He erupted from the brush and ran after the deer with daunting speed. He flew up into the air some before tackling two to the ground at the same time. He quickly killed them before looking to see what had caused the disturbance, hoping for Rook’s sake it wasn’t him. He tensed when he saw another dragon though. His pupils went to slits as he growled, going down on all fours again. He did glance around, looking to try finding Rook to see if he were alright.

Arkale looked up as another shape suddenly came flying out from the undergrowth opposite where he was. He watched as the other figure took down more deer in a short time. As the figure turned to him, Arkale noticed it was another dragon and he immediately growled lowly, bringing the deer he'd taken down closer. He hoped this dragon didn't want any trouble, but he wouldn't let anyone forcefully take his prey!

Phoenix sized Arkale up, his tail lashing angrily. “You almost ruined our hunt.” He said, “you’re lucky I managed to get at least these two kills in!” He voice was low as he dug his claws into the dirt.

Arkale studied the dragon over, wondering who else this "we" he spoke of comprised of. "And it could have been the same way for me if you ran out first. I was just able to take the opportunity." He replied. "Plus I didn't even know you were in the woods there! I've been in these woods behind me!" He replied.

(sorry guys work kept me a bit later than usual!) Rook had just crept around to the far side of the herd when suddenly a dragon had leaped out of no where. He was huge, well compared to himself. Rook leaped back just in time to not get trampled by the fleeing deer. He crouched low to the ground his pale white scales helping him blend in with the snow. He wasn't sure what to do at the moment as if this dragon attacked he would be done for.

Phoenix subtly moved to block Rook’s way from Arkale. He still growled some, though he relaxed a bit, “where do you come from?” He asked, wanting to know if they had accidentally gone close to his territory.

“Me? Well, mostly around wherever I want to go. I don’t have a set territory, if that’s what you’re asking.” He replied, knowing some dragons were extremely territorial. “And I didn’t sense any markers in this area so I thought it was okay.” He added carefully. “If I may ask, you said ‘we’ as if there’s someone else with you. Is there?” He asked, more curious than anything.

Rook pressed his belly to the cold ground his ears pressed to the ground. Rook had never been the bravest of dragons. His gaze flicked over to Phoenix. He wasn't sure if he should stay hidden or show himself just yet.

Phoenix nodded calmly, “yes. One other.” He said. He then stepped a little to the side, looking back to where he had managed to spot Rook’s horns and mane. “There. He just blends in with the snow.” He said while pointing with his tail. “And you are right in that there were no markers around here because no one lives here. Who would want to with all this cold?”

Arkale looked over towards where Phoenix indicated and he just barely managed to spot the smaller dragon. “Ohh now I see him! Hello there!” He called happily. He then looked down at his four catches and glanced at Phoenix’s two. Without any prompting, Arkale smiled and grabbed one of the pieces he caught in his teeth then flung it over to Rook and made sure it landed close to the smaller dragon. He then looked back to Phoenix and dipped his head respectfully. “I’m Arkale by the way.”

Rook watched Arkale carefully as he tossed over one of the deer he had just caught. "Hello." He said softly. His ears flicked forward as the sent of fresh meat wafted over. Rook stood up slowly, he was still a bit unsure about this dragon. Rooks tail swayed back and forth as he waited for Phoenix to respond to this new dragon.

Phoenix watched as he threw the meat, not making any move to return the favor despite having caught two whole deers. He had enough, and if he wanted to give it up so be it. He’d share his kill when he knew he could trust Arkale. “I’m Phoenix.” He said, bowing his head slightly in a polite greeting. “And this is Rook. My friend.”

Arkale nodded in greeting g and his tail waved back and forth a bit to show he was happy. “Nice to meet you Phoenix.” He said, then looked over to Rook. “You can come over, little one. I don’t mean you any harm. That deer is for you by the way. My way of apologizing for interrupting your hunt.” He said.

Rooks ears flicked back and forth as he thought. He wanted to trust this new dragon as they seemed kind. They had shared their meal like Phoenix had. Rook stepped a bit closer his ears fully perked up. A question had suddenly bubbled up into his mind. "Have you seen a herd of dragons that kind of look like me around here?" He questioned softly.

Arkale watched as Rook stepped up to them and he nodded in respectful hello. He carefully looked the smaller male over, trying to think if he’d seen any dragons like him recently. He eventually shook his head and huffed. “No i haven’t. I’m sorry.” He said apologetically. “When were you separated from your family?”

Phoenix listened only as he turned to gently tucked his tail around the two deer by his feet. He hadn’t asked that question before, only asking why Rook was in the snow all alone and where he had come from. Now that he thought about it he really should have asked that question instead of just having him travel with him. For all he knew he could have been leading Rook further away from whoever these dragons were.
