Roman noticed this too. He subtly stopped Alma, “we should focus on the people today. He ontop of things, yet socialable. We should go into town.” He said softly.


Maya eventually stopped say, “here we are. The Tinona. I’ll take you to Tseo’s foal.” He said. Sure enough he led the group to the rather large stall where the massive creature was currently standing with his mate. The two were rubbing up against eachother and letting out low purrs. Below them was a very tiny, scrawny looking Tihona which was a dark black with white spots on his side almost identintal to his father’s. “This is him.” Hakan said softly. He greeted the adult mounts before letting her group in.”we would want to keep him, but he’s way behind on growth and we don’t think he can serve his purpose as a first line animal.” He explained. “Although He is adorable.” He chuckled as Tseo held his head high at the mention of his son, clearly a very proud first time father. The little foal only went up a little past your knee, and was very skinny. He wobbled over to Llum and Tse-Tse and carefully went to sniff them.

Roman nodded, “then it’s settled. After our morning duties we should come and be with the people. Sounds fun actually.” He admitted. “Maybe you can actually teach me those childhood games?”

The little goal eventually decided they weren’t threats and let out a small chirp let sound. He then gently rubbed up against them, waving in between their legs, only wobbling a few times.

Roman shrugged, “that’s alright I’m not a sore loser... in most cases. Besides, I really just want to socialize with them and let them know we are just like them.” He explained.

Makya nodded, “Yep. He’s come a long way since when he was first born. That’s party because of the caretaker’s help, but also because of his awesome parents.” He said, looking to the two older mounts fondly.

Roman nodded. He then led his wife back to their horses , “we should be getting back.” He said, moving towards his horse before getting up onto it.

“Well, they have a lot of energy so he’ll need to be kept in an environment where he can either be taken out for a long time to run around and play or will be good just living in an open environment all the time. Uhm... these guys are omnivores, but they are avid hunters at the same time, so you’ll have to train him not to go after the other, smaller animals. They love fruit and herbs too, so you can use those as treats and the like.” He explained, “oh, also these creatures are very social, so it would do him good to have some other animals he can socialize with and look up to.”

As they began walking back, Roman moved so his horse was right along side Alma’s. He then simply leaned over and kissed her on the cheek as a silent apology for fighting earlier. He then took one of his hands off the reigns and reached out to offer a hand for Alma to hold.


The foal purred softly as he rubbed up against everyone to get his scent on them. “That’s good.” Makya said, “especially since he’s so small and fragile right now...”

“It’s alright. I’m sorry too.” Roman said softly, “we’re both just stubborn is all.” He joked, letting out a small laugh, “And I know I can be a bit too forgiving during times I shouldn’t be.”

Makya nodded, “well he’s lucky enough to have been born here and to have two caring parents. I don’t think I’ve seen a father as active and protective as Tseo is. He will definitely be having more foals in the future. But he is so protective because they were rescued from terrible conditions a lot like the rest of our older Tihona. Luckily his mate is a little younger than him so they can at least have another foal or two.”

Hakan sighed, “get on with it, stop geeking out.”

Roman gave a sarcastic face saying, “really? That never occurred to me?” He then cracked a joking smile saying, “I know, and in the end I can rarely say no to you anyways. It’s the worst when I can’t make you happy.”


Makya smiled, “I can’t wait to see it one day.” He said. He then looked as the foal gently nosed Llum’s leg before nuzzling into him some. “I think he’ll be just find with you.” Malaya added.

At the part about seriousness Roman sighed, “oh trust me I know.” He said jokingly, “but it’s just one of the thing I love about you~” he said, “and yes. We will always work things out. Mainly because I can’t stand to see you mad and will likely beg for forgiveness at one point or another.”

The foal pressed into his hand a little, letting out a low purr. He stayed still, almost as if understanding that Llum couldn’t actually see where he was moving if he were to be moving.

Roman got quiet and serious before saying, “we would no longer be married.” He looked ahead, though he squeezed her hand a little at the thought. “I have to choose the kingdom over my own happiness, and so do you now. We took an oath.” He said simply, “and if our partnership ended up hurting the functions of the kingdom I would have no choice to move on as bad as it may look.”

The foal actually felt very comforted by his pet, and laid down, tucking his six little skinny legs in as he sort of leaned his tiny body against Llum’s leg. “He is small enough to pick up.” Makya said softly, “he likes the cuddles too.”

“I’m sure we won’t.” Roman assured her, “I mean we have been married for quite some time. And together even longer. I think we’d know already if we weren’t truly compatible as both romantic partners and work partners.” He said.

The foal squirmed a little at first, but he quickly settled in. He tucked his six legs close to his body as he rested his little chin against Llum, letting out a soft purr. “Yep, I think he’ll be just fine with you.” Makya said with a small smile.

“Mhm me too.” Roman agreed, “and don’t forget about our little baby agreement for after the war.” He added.

The foal churned as he gently nuzzled and licked Llum’s chest, a way of just getting to know him better. A form of bonding if you will.

Roman nodded a little, “we just have to be smart and stand strong. If we at least do that we may stand a chance. A small one but a chance nonetheless.” He said, giving Alma a optimistic smile.


Makya shook his head, “no not yet. We don’t like to name our foals until we know they’re going to be staying with us.” He explained, “it’ll be your job to name him, so choose wisely.” He said with a small smile, looking to the foal as he looked around at the others curiously.

“Yep.” Roman said. “One who turns their back on an ally could discover very quickly they weren’t what they thought.” He then looked as they reached the castle stables again. Roman hopped off his horse, before holding out a hand for Alma.

Makya smiled, “oh I will be looking forward to that. I already have many ideas.” He said.
