Welcome to the kingdom of Bryghtwood, a place where many creatures have learned to live together, including humans. Led by King Roman and Queen Alma, this kingdom was actually the very first one that mortals can remember, founded in honor of the three of the four Guides, the ancient beings known for showing mortal creatures the way as well as being rumoured to set the very world in motion. A prosperous kingdom that would make them proud, but what will happen when the third ancient being comes to light? Threatening the freedom of everything the realm has worked for?
About This rp is about a kingdom of all sorts of creatures. Humans, centaurs, fae. There's even a family of anthropomorphic otters! Founded by five families, though ruled by one main family that has a king and a queen. This is House Sunfyre, is the human family out of the Founding Houses of the kingdom. This family is fair and just, but will do what they think is best for the good of the kingdom! The only ones with higher authority and respect are, of course, the Guides, who are seen as gods and treated by many with the utmost respect on the few occasions they are seen.

The Guides Long ago, there wasn't much of anything really. Then, deities known as the "Guides" by mortals decided to bring life to the barren world. Creating plants, the rocks, the air, all of it. Even creatures. Centaurs, satyrs, wolfmen, all kinds of unique beings. These omnipotent entities can do a lot, and have led mortals to progress by teaching them what they needed to survive. As they watched them all progress though, one of the entities, named Olgrin, thought that it would be better to rule them instead of guide them. This split the four creatures up, the two benevolent ones stayed on the side of the mortals, continuing to guide them and keep them from falling to the evil Guide.
Artifacts These ancient objects were given to the head of each Founding Family by the Guides themselves. Intact, all five Artifacts keep the kingdom clear of Olgrin and his armies. The Crown of the Herald, given to Sunfyre. The Godsbow, given to Waterway. The Lightning Longsword, given to Grynin. The Mother's Flute, given to Vinnard. And the Everhelm, given to Landar.
The Founding Houses Sunfyre: House of Humans. The ones that actually proposed the idea of founding Bryghtwood. Known for their passionate nature and drive to prove themselves, which is hard for humans to do in this world. Their colors are red and gold.
Waterway: House of Otters. These otters are actually quite large, some males reaching almost six feet! Known for their "strength in numbers" mindset and are surprising crackshots with any long range weapons that fit in their paws. Their colors are blue and green.
Grynin: House of Centaurs. Strong warriors that are true of heart and masters of the sword. They weren't as keen to help found Bryghtwood, but when they saw it could work they became loyal to the Sunfyres. Their colors are brown and silver.
Vinnard: House of Satyrs. Strong allies of the Grynin family, known for their advances in medicines and herbs, but also fast warriors on the field. Their colors are dark green and purple.
Landar: House of Bears. The semi-anthro tanks that served in a good way as muscle as the humans made their campaign to unite. Known for their armor and weapon-making skills. Their colors are, well, armor! But really, their main house color is orange. Species Humans are actually the least common creature in this rp. The majority consists of creatures like but not limited to centaurs, fae and semi-anthro and typical animals. And no, creatures like centaurs and satyrs do not have entirely "human" characteristics for the most part. They all have pointed ears, narrow nostrils, etc that makes them different. And the semi-anthro animals are basically just animals that kinda move like a human, think of movies like Lion King and Narnia.
Locations Crown's Way The capital city of Bryghtwood, full of homes and shops, a huge market and always busy. The jewel of the area is the grand Guide's Eye Castle, where the ruling family lives and does their duties.
Guide's Eye Castle: The castle of the royals, a large structure with many rooms, tons of staff running about. There's also connecting parts like a private garden, stables, a huge library and more.
Commons: Where most of the commoners live and go about their day.
Tipsy Glutton: One of the popular pubs to go to, located in the Commons.
Marketplace: Where most of the shops, stalls, merchants, etc hang out. You can find plenty here, from clothes to food and other nice things.
The Arena: Where warriors go to prove themselves or just have fun. The only rule is not to kill, lest you be arrested and thrown in jail!
Temple of the Guides: A very, very old temple dedicated to the two Guides who kept mortals safe from Olgin during the Dark Times. Filled with art, treats, cloths and various other gifts. And, sometimes, the gifts disappear with no one having a clue!
North District: This is the shadier part of Crown's Way, where you're more likely to find your thieves, scammers and other crooks. However, you can find some pretty rare things in the shops here.
Sleepy Pine Inn: A popular stop for travelers, but good food is also here.
Iron Mannor: Despite being hardy and rough, the Landor family lives on a property within the boundaries of the capital.
Tunnel City: Beneath the capital is a vast network of tunnels and caves, and rumored to be a gateway to Beyond All Realms, but people always end up back where they started, so an exact map has yet to be made!
Lowbend City About a day's trip west of Crown's Way, one of the bigger cities, but not as prosperous as the capital. Otters live here mostly, but you'll see some other animals as well. The ones in charge are the Waterway family actually, who live in Highstone Mannor about ten minutes out from the actual city.
Grynin Fort South of Crown's Way, a large property home to the Grynin family. The large structure is protected by a wall, with the fort and people inside. There's gardens and trees, even a lake all houses within the expanse of walls. The centaurs here keep to themselves, though there are servants of other species treated well there.
Etchwood Forest This forest is home to a rather expansive little town about half a day north of Crown's Way. The woodland city is run mainly by the Vinnard family. The forest is full of fruitful trees, a few huge gardens and plenty of places where medical help is practiced. Travelers will have more luck getting aid of any kind here besides Crown's Way.
Bandit Pass A place away from Crown's Way full of people looking to steal from you, maybe even steal you! A quick path to Etchwood, but best travel in numbers here.
Beyond All Realms The exclusive home realm of the three benevolent Guides. No one gets in or out without their say, and this is usually where they reside when not in the mortal realm. (Do NOT make any characters that live or start out here.)
Crystal Palace: Not as large as most castles, but certainly not less grand. This is where the Guides actually live and rest. There are, despite the Guides doing most things themselves, even some servants that upkeep the palace and such, though they're more like friends to the Guides. There's a big garden on the west end, a lake on the east end too. And, the palace has the second biggest collection of knowledge anywhere, the first being Nim's library.
Oasis Lake: A bigger lake about half an hour west of the Palace, where some animals drink or lounge.
Glinting Caves: A cave that goes on for quite a ways beneath the ground, and full of countless crystals and gems.
Evermountains: A massive range of mountains that stretch to the sky and then some. Never plagued with cold or snow, always green and plentiful, where you'll see plenty of animals and other creatures here.

No one knows yet, but there are traitors in the kingdom, who wish to steal and break the Artifacts. If they succeed, the barrier keeping the kingdom relatively safe will fall and war will start again! Will these suspected traitors succeed, or can Bryghtwood keep their Artifacts safe?

King Roman Sunfyre: 36 year old human male. Weapon of choice is a sword, also very handy with a bow and arrow. Roman is a rather large man standing at 6’2 with broad shoulders. He has a muscular yet lean build. He has naturally tan and an almost flawless complexion. His skin makes his bright green eyes stand out. Roman has dark brown hair which is naturally wavy and hangs a little over his eyes, but he has to straighten it and keep it back with production look more sophisticated. Roman also has some scruff on his face, but he keeps it so that it doesn’t grow long enough to look like a full on beard. Roman is very good at changing his personality to fit whatever crowd he is with. He can be very poised, and authoritative, however he is also empathetic and very laid back off duty. He always puts his family and friends first. He’s very selfless in general, as it is his belief that he needs to provide for everyone in his kingdom else before he does himself. As an only child, it was always the plan that Roman would be the next to take the throne. His parents were surprisingly relaxed when it came to raising Roman to king, as the boy always took his studies seriously. He always knew he wanted to be like his mother and father, and jumped at any opportunity to shadow them for a while as they worked. As Roman grew older, he became quite the helpless romantic, having been rejected by many women before finally being paired with his wife, but he always tried his best to be a good suitor for his potential matches. Roman came into rule when his father got into an accident, getting clawed across the face and causing him to go blind. Luckily, he was prepared and took the throne with grace. Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual.
Queen Alma Sunfyre: 35 years old, short at 5'5. Dark, black-skinned woman with deep brown eyes, full lips and short-cut hair consisting of tons of tiny curls. She has a few scars on her arms and even a cut on her face from past conflicts. Now that she is a person of royalty, having married into the throne, she mainly wears nicer clothes and such, but no dresses. The last time she wore a dress was on her wedding day! She much prefers shirts and pants, or armor. Alma came from the family that currently owns the Arena. She was already learning what was needed to take over the business when she met Roman. It was mainly just a curious friendship at first, but her parents insisted that she get to know him better. So, she did, and genuine feelings blossomed. Alma is nice enough to most people, but she will speak her mind and argue if she genuinely believes her word is best. She does know when to quit though. Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Demiromantic. Soldiers Servants Barnes Fare: The private physician/doctor for the royals and visiting nobles. 36 years old. Gets his looks from farther north, where it's a little colder, thus the increased amount of hair. A little gruff, but Barnes is a gentle man. Likes to care for others, and this has definitely helped him with the necessary studies to be trained as a healer. His parents had actually been northern satyrs, yes, but he was actually born in Bryghtwood. The genes stayed though, but that didn't stop him or anything. Trained by his parents, who were actually recruited by the crown as doctors, he wanted to be like them. A hard worker who likes to help by making people better. Sexual Orientation: Demisexual Demiromantic.
Chester Stanch: One of the head cooks of the castle. 20 years old, male elf. Average height of 5'7, with black skin, brown eyes with pointed ears, slitted nostrils and short-cut hair. Figure is lean, strong from carrying large crates, sacks and more. He is a little young to be a cook in charge of others, but he proved to be a prodigy when he was young, though it helped that his father was a cook as well. He was already making great food at twelve, especially desserts. He worked his way through the ranks, and was soon up with the best. Chester is very kind and friendly, but he can be a little monster when it comes to food. Everything must be perfect when he cooks. He's a good friend though, always wanting to help and to know what's wrong. He can be a little overprotective at times, but he means well. Chester is smarter than he lets on though, and can be quite the fox when needed. He'd much rather be nice than be a trickster. Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Demiromantic.
Waterway Family Milia Waterway: Daughter of the Lord and Lady. 17 years old, 4'11" height. Milia likes to wear simpler clothes unless special occasions, where she'll wear a dress. Any armor she wears is lightweight and allowing more mobility for her. For a personality, she's very adventurous and outgoing. Always willing to try new things. However, she's very smart and knows how to choose her battles well. Milia is very friendly in most cases, but she's wary of larger animals. This determined otter will surely have your back if you earn her respect though. For her main weapon, she carries a bow, with a quiver of arrows. Sexual Orientation: Homosexual Demiromantic.
Landar Family Ghorban Landar: Lord of the House. 45 years old. Larger than the typical bear, over ten feet tall when on his hind legs. Doesn't wear clothes most of the time, but will wear robes and the like for special occasions, and always wears armor into battle. His armor is a dark black ebony color with tiny carving patterns etched in. It covers his shoulders, back and forepaws, and as a helmet he wears the Everhelm. Ghorban is very intimidating, but he is loyal to the crown and will do what he can to serve them. That doesn't mean he won't speak his mind, his input taken seriously due to being a good strategist. Very protective of his family as well, and will actually choose them first over the kingdom. Grew up in the spoiled life of a noble really, though he did recieved training to be a smith like any Landar bear would be. Sexual Orientation: Demisexual Heteroromantic.
Other Selva Greenmare: 20 y/o human female, traveling merchant. 5'7" height with white skin and brown hair that goes down to her waist, and she usually has the hair tied back. Her eyes are a lighter hazel, and her figure is thin. Selva isn't one to make friends, being aloof and wary, but she is nice. Being a traveller to sell her goods, which mainly consists of homemade cheese and dried meats, she has seen a lot and is very tolerant of the various creatures and cultures. However, she isn't above stealing from said nice people, but she doesn't do it often especially when she makes more than enough of a living for herself. Mostly she just keeps to herself, her only real friend being her huge stallion named Fitz, who helps out by pulling her cart of goodies and carrying heavy things. To defend herself, she carries a simply steel sword. Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Demiromantic.
Genocide: A male goblin with an age between 150-200 years, a traveler. Weapon of choiceirs a large, red-bladed axe. Pretty much the definition of greed. Offer him gold, gems, metals, or anything valuable or shiny and you've got him. Anything you need done he'll do it. Need someone killed? He's got it. Need something delivered to someone or somewhere? He's got it. He does however have a much less violent side. If you're sick or in pain he might stop to help you. No one's for sure why he does it but it has something to do with a dying pet. Genocide went by the name Natyre when his horde was still a horde.He had a very nice life with them until he found out they were keeping gold from him.He killed them all and changed his name to Genocide. Sexual Orientation: Straight.
Guides Nim: Age unknown, takes male forms. No one besides the other three Guides have seen his human form. And his human form is 6'4", looks to be in his 30s, with light brown skin and a head of darker brown, wavy hair that's long enough for him to put in a bun. Dark green eyes, with slitted pupils. When in the presence of mortals, he will take the form of animals or other creatures, though his most common form is a white tiger. Nim is like a gentle giant. His presence is intimidating and he always seems to have a neutral expression, but those who actually know him know that he's kind and caring. A big teddy bear. He can be scary when he wants to though, a force to be reckoned with. It's just that he's a little more reserved than most. When teaching mortals, he gained his title as the Guide of Knowledge. He has his own private realm stocked full of anything anyone could possibly want to know about, and much more. He taught mortals how to learn, recall, and how to record things down. He has many abilities, but he is most known for being an extremely powerful telepath, and can see the past, present and future. He does not disclose the future with even the other Guides though. For a weapon, even though he can do quite a lot with his mental abilities, uses a pair of heavy metal gauntlets, which armor from fingertip to halfway up his forearm. Sexual Orientation: Demisexual Demiromantic.
Olgrin: Age unknown. He rarely uses his humanoid form, which has a 6'2" height with pale white skin with black hair going just past his shoulder blades. Light blue eyes, with slitted pupils and pointed ears and sharp canines. He usually will take other forms when in the presence of anyone really. Olgrin is very contemplative and cunning, but will do what he can to secure a victory. He has yet to show any sort of true compassion or happiness, but he does seem to be very insistent on his views. Unlike the other two Guides, he believes that mortals should be ruled rather than left to their own. He sees them as inferior and wishes to conquer them. When he was relatively on their side though, Olgrin was responsible for teaching mortals how to defend themselves, as well as the concept of war. How to fight. How to draw blood and create death. His main weapon is a super, super long chain with a monstrous blade attached to each end. He is known for summoning and using shadows as portals, as well as summon black, solid shadow tentacles that are for offense and can steal the energy of others. Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Demiromantic.
Dakota: Unknown age, takes male forms. He carries around a staff that is about as tall as he is. There are designs and symbols engraved from the middle of the staff to the top. There is very thin yet strong rope that is wrapped around the top of the staff that tied off around an array of beads each symbolizing different things that relate to strength, war, growth, and prosperity. He also has a bow that is decorated in a similar fashion, as well as arrows with bright red feathered tails. Dakota stands at 6’1, with broad shoulders and a muscular build. Both sides of his head are shaved, and he has two Dutch braids that end just above the small of his back. His braids start out white at the top of his head, but the color changes into a dark brown has the braid goes on. He also has some scruffy facial hair, but he keeps his face clean for the most part. Dakota has caramel brown skin, which make his golden colored eyes pop nicely. Around humans he is known to take the form of a bald eagle, but he also just enjoys shifting into the average looking human or other species to blend in and even mingle with the crowd. Dakota is also marked with tattoos on his biceps, shoulders, chest, and sides, most looking like Native American warrior paint, while others were more realistic images. Two notable tattoos are a hand on his left pectoral over where his heart is, and an arrow going down his right bicep. These tattoos as well as all the others glow a light turquoise whenever he is feeling a strong emotion such as love or rage. Dakota has two different personalities depending on who he’s dealing with. When he’s around strangers while working he is known to be mysterious, but also very brave and courageous. To the rare souls who have seen him act differently would saw that he is still all those things, but he can also be very rowdy, and very witty. He’s also known to be very flirtatious towards those he meets even if he has no interest in them. However, he does control himself very well. Unlike the others, Dakota is very social with many creatures, and even enjoys their company from time to time. Dakota worked along side the first few rulers of each community, especially the humans, and helped them learn how to properly rule over their people, as well as create an honorable hierarchy and set of rules for everyone to abide by. He also acted as a messenger between the mortals and the deities when needed. Sexual Orientation: Bisexual.
Uma: Unknown age, takes female forms. Uma was gifted with the ability to control people’s emotions upon touching them. She can also adapt to match their emotions as well. She also can control snow and ice. She tends to not use these powers unless there is a need for them though. Uma is a medium sized woman standing at 5’10. Uma also has a nice complexion. Having pale skin and high cheek bones. Her skin when hitting the light at just the right angle can also have a very subtle sparkle much like freshly fallen snow. She has platinum blonde hair that is cut into a pixie cut with the right side of her head shaved, adding a touch of fierceness to her look. Uma’s eyes are a unique mix of light blue and a dark brown, both blending together in both of her irises. Uma has also developed a smooth British accent over the years. When around humans, she usually takes the form of a swan when around humans. Uma is a very kind hearted and loving person. She’s known to be very generous and selfless towards others. She approaches everything with dignity and grace. However, she can be very stubborn as well, and rarely let’s her guard down. She finds it easier just to pretend like she unbothered by everything than to actually show what she’s actually feeling. Uma taught humanity how to approach things with grace and dignity. She also helped women find their place and gain more equal voices. Sexual Orientation: Pansexual.
