Two weeks have passed since the gathering and since your run in with Blackhawk. You find yourself in the calm of Thunderclan territory, surrounded by the lush foliage that will be here and gone in due time.
You haven't been feeling very good as of late. You're tired all the time, you've become afraid of facing your clanmates, you don't eat that much anymore, and in general have been pretty anxious.
You asked your reliable and trustworthy mentor about what to do and he said you should spend some time away from camp to relax.
So, that's what you're out here doing

You really are helpless! No matter what you do, you just don't feel good about anything.
Maybe you should try to occupy your mind.

it's okay to take breaks. your clan's important, but you won't be able to help them at all if you're not feeling well.
maybe go for a walk and think about why you've been so anxious? if you can figure out the problem, you might be able to work on it and feel better.

Um, if you think about it, it's probably that encounter with Blackhawk that set you on this downward spiral.
One might think that after living your pathetic life for so many moons, you'd have developed a thicker skin. You haven't, though, and Blackhawk's mocking cut deeper than you would like to admit. Maybe if you were a little stronger and a little braver, you could have given him a swift claw across the face. That would've shut him up.
But you are not strong or brave. So you couldn't even say anything to him.

Leave now and forget what you saw. Starting a conversation with someone like Leopardheart on the ThunderClan border could go wrong pretty quickly if someone saw you, and you weren’t being aggressive.
That and it’s clear Leopardheart climbed onto the wrong bank when catching fish, so leaving would be best.

No! You mean -- yes! Uh. You explain that you're not allowed to go on many border patrols these days.
"Why? You flirt with too many cats over the border?"
Haha! Ha! Uh. No, you say. Not at all. It's a long story.
It's not a long story at all you just don't want to tell her anything about it.

another update! you know what that means! More inconsistencies in character design!!!
i swear to god every time leopardheart shows up its like im still figuring out how she should look. all the character designs i made before i even started this story were for NOTHING i guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
anywho, thank you petrichor for your kind words! and of course thank you to everyone else who has left kind comments :') i promise i read them, i'm not ignoring them. i just tell myself to reply later and then i... forget OOF IM SORRY. i really do appreciate it though.

everything will be fine, i'm sure.  anyhoo, i'm glad foxtail finally has had some screen time! we'll definitely be seeing a lot more of him in the future. of all the characters, i'm most excited for readers to learn more about him. this is admittedly a rather small update that should NOT have taken as long as it did, but ive been finding it harder to sneak in some more time to work on this among other things 😥😥😥😥. i can't say when the next update will be BUT i can say that i'm working on something special for this! if updates are delayed, it will be because of the special thing. hopefully u guys will enjoy it if i can do it well enough!! thanks for reading! |

hello all, popping back in for a quick update of the news variety. Unfortunately, NOT of the story variety. so, remember when i said that if updates were delayed itd be because of the *special thing*. well i was absolutely correct about that. it's only been a little over a week but given the holiday season it's probably going to be at least one more week before the story resumes. but just to prove i havent been resting on my laurels, whiling the hours away by basking in the glow of compliments from strangers online (thank u mintedstar/fur) here's just a tiny preview of what i have in store  man oh man look at all the things (not) happening there. who knows what wacky adventures are in store for our hero (seems to be a lot of drowning) as always thank you for reading and hopefully some of you are as excited for this special surprise as i am |
