Percival Carefully, Percival's attention moved after Russell. He was a bit surprised that this was how the exchange was going, but it intrigued him. He wasn't sure how it was going to go, but on the downside it took him away from the fire. He wasn't so obvious as to look back at the fire, but he did look back at the men (which mean the fire was at the corner of his eye). There was attraction, not to the men but to the fire. Flickering light, with one singular purpose to the vampire. But he turned back to Russell and followed him. There was no telling what all this was about and Percival wouldn't discover the answer unless he followed. He hadn't answered the first question. What had that been about? @whoevercares Aliissa Someone in the crowd, however, did trail after the two men. Not like this person was volunteering, but there seemed to be some willingness to follow after the general idea. The man was in grief. She was not. But she never really had a purpose to follow. A fire was here, so was she. Percival might have had something to do with it all, so maybe he was with this man's daughter. She limped along, cane pressing into the ground, her slightly shorter leg causing the uneven steps. "Anyone, you say?" she said quietly, coming up behind the man. "As long as they can bare arms?" She shifted her weight, lifting her cane and taking the sword hidden in it like a sword within a hilt. She only pulled the blade out halfway. "Would this satisfy your requirement?" And an eyebrow cocked. Lin Lin had not raised many verbal protests that her brother was tagging along. She looked stormy, however. Not like you could see much of that, since she'd raised a hood over her hair, hiding most of her face apart from some of her hair and her nose. She only dismounted when she reached the building. The one she'd started out at. Things had grown so much more complicated from that first time. So much more weighty on her mind. Instead she unwillingly allowed herself to be led by Lyle's desire to keep some friends that she couldn't imagine him having had for long. At least, she hoped not. What sort of chaos would these relationships bring? Would she allow them? Those questions were what buzzed through her head as she stroked the horse's main. Lupin Lupin didn't want to agree, but what choice did he have? He carefully stood up, spinning the ring on his finger around so fast that it rubbed the skin raw again. He'd just come here to fix a ring. He'd just been walking, hadn't even planned to stop, yet here he was. One foot rubbed over the top of the other before he started to move for the door, holding it up for Coire. And hoped Arai wouldn't go out before Lupin skittered out first, like a scared mouse. He didn't like comparing himself to a mouse, but it was rather accurate. "Yes," he agreed lightly. "I suppose so."

Calec finally stepped out of the main crowd. "If you search now you won't find them in time." he said, voice confident. At the rate they were moving there was little time left to follow "What do you offer if I were to bring your child back?" he asked. Not truly interested in the child, but more than happy to kill a few people for a fair amount of gold.
Arai moved towards the door. He kept his spear in hand and opened the door, waiting for the princess to enter. His eyes widened slightly as he recognized their extra person. It was the prince. What had happened? As a knight he really should be taking them back to the castle, but if it were against their orders he couldn't do anything.

mintedstar/furπ¦ ππππππππππππ Allissa & Calec The older gentlmen was clearly heart broken to see that the younger men had the nerve to sit around and even think about it. Back in his day, everyone would jump for the opportunity to be called a hero. Not even that, just to do the right thing. But now, it was all about thinking and maybe doing it. Not one and done, rather three and thought. Then a women spoke up catching the two men off guard. The younger gentlmen blinked taking a look at her, "Asking someone as yourself to take such a risk?-" He stumbled hearing the old man jump. "I would appreciate any help!" The older man replied quickly. "Anything works best to bring my daughter home." He looked over to the younger man who clearly disagreed. "But to ask for a young fair lady as yourself to danger?" Raised a brow the younger gentlmen. It was then the Calec approached and called out for attention. The young man turned over raising a hand, "Yes we appreciate help as much. We intend to pay double what we are to pay the guards." He quickly called out. "The tax collectors asked for about 50 gold, we wish to provide a 100 gold." He quickly spoke, ignoring the women. The older man shrugged shaking his head, "I am willing to pay you both 100 gold each." he offered. "For the return of my daughter." He addressed to two. Seeing the clear distaste in the younger man. "But I would like to see her first before finishing the transaction, if you would be so kind to do so." The younger man shrugged, "100 gold to cooperation, 200 gold if only one of you brings her back." He added, "In only one returning, it brings back the assumption that one of you died in vain." He slightly glimpsed over at Allissa. The older man shrugged, shaking his head. "Apologies for my apprentice. He's as dense as a brick. But I am willing to pay 100 gold to each, or two hundred to only one." Since he didn't want to waste any more time arguing with his apprentice. "I simply ask for her safety." He referred to his daughter. Lin, Lupin, Coire, Glen, Patrick
Lyle was a child at heart, perhaps it was his over imaginination or his strong ambitious desires for friends that was having pull all the strings presently taking place. Perhaps it was the opportunity to know that his sister was opposed which drove him to this extent? or the curiosity of that demon Celec, whom he encountered in the cave that night? This was perhaps going over his own boundary, but he wasn't regretting any of it. Perhaps for the moment? He didn't wait to get off his horse, and rush over to the door where Arai, Coire, and Lupin walked out. His expression was beaming with relief as he had seen the other two were alright. "Lupin, Coire you two are fine! Thank heavens, I thought my sister pulled the worst." He rested a hand over his chest, feeling his heart beat race as he had been panicked the entire way there. Coire smiled waving a hand, he was still concerned about everything, but given their situation, all he could do was act as if nothing was wrong. "We are fine, my price. We appreciate your concern." He added Lupin to his we. "Things aside what brings you here, or er everyone?" Lyle stepped back, turning his head slightly back to see his sister. "While there are complications, I was hoping to demonstrate to my sister what we have come to find of these gems. This way she may use the information as she pleases." He added now, singling her sister come closer. Which she wont, this social gathering is awkward. She only does it for public appeal.. A part of him was clearly enjoying his sister's torment. Coire blinked, looking over at Glen. "Well, can we demonstrate without getting our heads chopped off by this spear." He referred to Arai's weapon. Glen shrugged silently looking over at Lin. "M'lady, you're brother wishes to do something, but since you are indeed older you hold the final word." He awknowledged. "Should you wish to follow with your brother's activities we shall prepare everything shortly."

Auransky ππππππππππππ Allissa & Calec Aliissa would have backed out just because she was being misjudged. It seemed like ridiculous idea that just because she was a woman she would be rejected from the option. They underestimated her at their folly. She sneered at the ground, the cane with the sword hidden within it back in its position. Unassuming. "Of course I take you up on your offer," she said, voice low and quiet like honey. Her movements were not so sweet. She took two steps, each one perfectly even despite her past limping, and lifted the stick, dodging around the apprentice on the second step and stabbing the blunt end of the cane into the back on his knees with two jabs. He'd be bruised, but she'd leave him the use of his legs. "Of course I forgive him," she said to the older man, voice still soft. "Why would I feel distaste for a lowly pig?" And she smiled at the older man. "I will take your offer and find your daughter. The money will not be necessary." She gave a small bow and then started trotting (her limp back) after the men that had apparently taken the man's daughter. She didn't like the look of the other man, Calec, so she kept her pace human-like to try and keep him within her senses.

Calec thought it over. Two hundred gold and the chance to hunt some humans... "Very well, that is good enough for me." he shrugged and trotted off in the direction they had left. Calec noted the looked he'd gotten from the woman and sped up just a bit. He could still sense the humans that had run off with the girl.

@calec @allissa The younger gentlmen was caught off guard by Allissa's attack. If forced him on the ground, with his hands out to catch himself from falling he bit his lower lip disgusted by her response. Women need to know their place.. He thought to himself but remained silent. He looked up to the older man expecting some backup, but was caught off guard when he saw the other man laughing. Crazy old coop...The older man was chuckling, "my, that is quite the talent." He told Allissa, "I appreciate your efforts, and wish you the best of luck." He now turned to Celec who seemed on board. "Aye my good man, safe travels and indeed bring her back." He dipped his head in respect to the two who had now turned to leave. Deep in the woods
"Come on Metin.." Called out one of the thieves. "We need to stay behind and stall." He called his partner. "Chief doesn't want them to track her, or the rest." Metin rode his horse up to his other partner, "Pft... like hell. Old guy is going to find someone at this hour?" He spit off to the side. "Like any of that is going to happen. Not by our watch, Engin." Engin looked away unamused, "Ya never know.." Lin, Patrick,Lupin Lyle, Coire, Glen
Glen turned his head towards Patrick, "Unfortunately, yes." He simply replied. "We are in no position to negotiate, if we value are lives we must commit to it, knowing fully well it is unright and unjust." He blunty stated. He turned over to Lupin, "You too, we need to prep things and quickly." He addressed the other before turning his attention to Coire, "I expect no less from you."

"I was there before you," Percival confirmed. At least he thought so at least. He could get to place to place pretty quickly but it hadn't really been needed. The fire had been close by. "It was set by some hooligans who kidnapped a daughter of one of the men asking for help," he said. All true, of course. He'd had nothing to do with the fire. The plain fact of the matter was that just because there was a fire in Nolyra didn't mean that he need have caused it. Simply that he'd be in the general area if he could. "Did you know anything different about it?" he asked the doctor, curious.

Calec, Aliissa[/div] The vampire liked walking only as much as she had too. So even though she wanted to watch Calec she didn't do so by foot very long. A carriage was waiting and she was not going to miss it. They were headed in the same direction anyway. After the men and charged with finding them. She could do that. She could do whatever she pleased and never mind idiot men who didn't see past the ends of their nose. He was lucky she hadn't killed him, but keeping him alive seemed more amusing. She needed someone to make her this mad. A mortal and a idiot. Two things Percival was not. This little detour was simply another form of hunting. She could live with that. All she had to do was follow the waning sent of horses and fire. And maybe she'd get lucky. Maybe Percival was going the same direction. At least she could figure out that demon ... Lin, Patrick, Lupin, Lyle, Coire, Glen
Lupin stiffened a little, unused to the being called attention to. But he nodded, simple, short, and sweet. He nodded, sure, but it was a bit hard to tell if he actually knew what was expected of him or if he was just nodding because that was what he was supposed to do. Lin was another matter. Lupin was watching her and her expression remained as strict as ever. He was comfortable with that least of all. Princesses did not look at people like they planned to murder you in your beds. Princesses were supposed to look perfectly calm, like the rest of the royal family, and then make plans for someone else to murder you in your bed. It was just how royalty worked, in Lupin's opinion.

Auransky mintedstar/furπ¦ Patrick rolled his eyes then flashed a quick glance over at Lin. So far, he wasnβt too fond of her; she looked like she disapproved of everything they were saying. βFine, I guess Iβll help. Should we do the same experiments we did earlier to show her?β He asked, glancing over at the others. β mintedstar/furπ¦ βI see...β Russell trailed off, then was sort of caught off guard by the question. βHm? Well no, nothing in particular really,.β He wasnβt sure if he should share any information that Allissa told him. βBut back to this, did you know who exactly set the fire or not? Itβs fine if you donβt, Iβm just curious since there have been other fires lately. I just need to know if theyβre connected.β

As they got closer Calec heard people talking. It seemed some people had been left behind to stall and followers. He pulled out a knife and continued to move closer. If he charged them they wouldn't expect it and would be open to an attack. All he had to do was kill one and take the horses they had been on.

(Aliissa is just going to wait there while the demon kills everyone she's not a bad person at all. CX ) --- brokenCatching people off-guard was amusing to watch if nothing else. Percival wasn't particularly worried about Russell finding out something. He could take care of himself and he was a very convincing liar. That was, he told the truth. The best liars always told the truth. "No, I'm not sure who set the fire. Several men, or so I heard, but I don't know names. I came up later, with the rest of the crowd. I feel bad for the man who lost his daughter ..." All true. He thought about the other fires. "I'm not from this particular town. Or rather, I don't live here. I've only heard about a couple of fires ... One was rather recent. You're investigating it?" He looked at Russell curiously. "Isn't that the job of some organization or something?" But he shrugged. "If you are, more power to you. But you're walking the wrong way." He pointed off in the directions the horses and men had gone. "If we're trying to find the people who set the fire than they went that way." He said 'we' so it didn't sound like he was dismissing Russell.

mintedstar/furπ¦Russell watched him intently as he spoke, trying to tell if he was lying or not. It wasnβt like he didnβt trust him, but he just wasnβt sure anymore. He nodded slowly, chuckling a little bit at Percivalβs question about investigating it. "Well yeah I am, kind of. Iβm really just helping out someone I met the other day, thatβs all," he said. "Iβm just a doctor after all, but after I heard about the unsolved mystery i was curious." He shrugged at that, then looked off to where he pointed. "Oh? Metin pranced his horse a bit as a means to intentionally direct any attention towards him. Their orders were simple, kill anyone that made it this way. They wanted the town to remember that they made a grave mistake... and who knows? Maybe the queen will hear and feel bad for the people? Pft... she wont care.... Engin shrugged, "You are too cocky... that will get you killed." He told the other who seemed to ignore his words. "Old man you know not." Metin shook his head. "We are younger then you.. for that you should know that w are stronger and hold the upper hand." Engin looked away, "Perhaps stronger, but certainly not smarter." He softly commented. "Now pipe down, that's enough prancing for now." He scolded. At the house Glen turned to Patrick at the thought. He crossed his arms now considering the possibility. "W-Well for now it would be best we recreate what we have done. For the new experiments are still in the work with uncertain results." He advised. Then glimpsing over at Lupin he waved a bit, "Rocks, and water. For that bonefire of hell." He bluntly commented. Perhaps everyone felt a murderous intent but he certainly was shrugging it off. Coire called out to Patrick then spoke in a soft tone. "Get the salt, holy water, rosary and a pot from the house." Unlike his twin, he was indeed feeling a murderous intent from the princess. If he kept his back turned for too long would he be stabbed? What about the knight, Arai? Would he be tasked to finish the job? Shivering he turned once again, "Glen I'm getting the gun powder from the shed." With that he headed off. How could his brother not be well... feeling any of this... certainly Patrick and Lupin felt it. Lyle glimpsed away. Though she was his sister, he felt some perhaps rage coming his way. She was already upset with everything going on. She was currently playing along with this ploy... she certainly was going to scold his once they got back home. "I guess I can go fetch water from the well.." He self inserted offered. He had helped with earlier plans and he knew where the well was... the question now was would his sister object to him doing manual labor? or even walking away at night on his own? the well wasn't exactly around the corner.

Auransky broken ππππππππππππ In the Woods
Aliissa's couch had dropped her off far away from the ... whatever you wanted to call the men in the woods. Her uneven steps were silent, but she seemed perfectly bored with the whole matter. She was still keeping an eye out for that demon, that was for sure. One hand was on the top of her walking stick, ready to draw the slim blade. She didn't want to approach the men in the woods so had yet to get within earshot or seeing distance. Instead she waited to see if the demon would turn up and what he would do. Near the Woods (Where Percival and Russell are.) "I can," admitted Percival. "A doctor though? Finding people that are assuredly dangerous while being a doctor seems a bit risky. There are thousands of ruffians but we are a bit limited on doctors." And he honestly meant the worry in his voice. He really had no care for his own skin. He figured it was safe enough. But Russell wanted to go after the men, by the sound of it. Helping out someone he'd only met the other day ... a far too trusting doctor too. At the house Lin made no comment. If her brother wanted to fall down a well ... Then she supposed she'd go find him. Her expression softened by the smallest fraction. She cared for her brother but she worried for his safety. She would see whatever ... experiment these people wanted to do but as soon as that was over she was starting to think longingly of her bed. Lupin scuttled off to preform the task he'd been assigned. Blunt he could do. He was used to blunt. And the request got him out from under the nose of the princess. "Rocks it is," he muttered, walking off into the forests with intent to - maybe - never come back. Or at least not come back until he found a large rock.

Calec pulled a knife from it's sheath, not wanting to waste too much energy taking them down. As soon as he hit the clearing he flung the knife at one of the horses. The knife hit the ground by it's leg, causing it to rear up. He quickly turned his attention to the other man. While one was distracted he jumped towards the other one, hoping to grab his neck and take him to the ground.

Special Attack Brave Eliwood fireemblem.gamepress.gg/sites/fireemblem/files/2019-08/BtlFace_C%20%281%29.pngNormal Brave Eliwood fireemblem.gamepress.gg/sites/fireemblem/files/2019-08/Face.pngIn the woods Engin was cautiously keeping watch, he had a few stern words to tell Metin but for now he would keep that under wraps. With his attention returned to the world around them, he had his horse pace off towards the other end of the clearing leaving a distance between himself and Metin. It was his way of cooling down, but it was also a means of keeping away from the younger man, even if briefly. Metin on the other hand didn't take lightly to Engin's words. He wasn't happy, rather he was annoyed. Why'd I get paired up with him.. He shrugged paying little to no attention of the older man going towards the other end of the clearing. He was however occupied on the discussion prior, that he had forgetton to focus on his surroundings. Then it happened... his horse was struck with a knife, that it panicked both in pain and surprise, falling off to its side. Matin was unfocused that he had no time to react, slipping off to the side with a rather loud scream. He fell to the ground attempting to get up, but he could only scream even more as his horse plummeted, with all its weight crushing him in the process. It didn't kill him-somehow, but the pain was notable. It happened so quickly that all Engin could do was slide off his horse, and kick his own horse on the side to have it prance then run off in panic. It was not much but it was a way to save his horse, and create a brief diversion as he quickly took out his twin daggers out for defense. reckless was all he could was brace, as something was rushing towards him. At the house Coire made his way for the shed, he was still somewhat out of it but to not make the situation even more awkward, he should be precise and quick. Once in there he looked around, snatching the large sack of gun powder. Alright, gotta head back He adjusted it into his grasp, and soon made his way back for the group. Lyle raced off for the well, which was a bit away from the house. It was quiet once he had reached the set, but because of the group over back on the property, some sounds broke through the silence. He noticed the bucket on the side and reached for it. With the bucket at hand, he approached the rope and began to tie it along the handle so he would be able to reach down for water. Once that was set, he used the handle of the well on the side to send the bucket down the dark hole. There wasn't a lot of water the last time we checked, so i'll need to do a couple of sways.. he considered. ((So we currently have a plan in motion, but I want to add something else. There is going to be a demon intercepting Allissa and Calec, but I wanna throw another demon towards the other group at the house. Should we? ))

Calec faced the other man, his eyes flickering with a red light before returning to their dark color. He lunged at the man, his own knife glinting in the dim light. He was stronger than a human, but that didn't mean he'd kill them instantly. Calec was a bit like a cat, he liked to play with his prey before killing them off. It was the little enjoyment life actually brought him. Well, that may be being a bit dramatic, but he did enjoy the hunt. Not to mention he had chased the horse off that Calec was going to snatch. He'd have to track it down after killing the man off. What a hassle!
Ohhh I think another demon would be a fun development!)

In the woods Aliissa could have been compared to a vulture at this point. She was actually visible while she rested in the tree, sitting, as she looked down at the demon. Her sword was drawn, the empty shell of her cane somewhere in the woods. Her senses were blazing, sent out to make sure she wasn't ambushed. But she was perfectly content to leave the fighting to Calec. Him at his weapons and playing with his prey. She was well aware that she held little chance of directly beating the demon but she intended to make sure that the end result was favorable to her. And maybe her fire-setting noble was nearby. ((Sounds fun to me!)
