(Sorry for the late reply...) mintedstar/furπ¦"I believe that he might have had his eyes set on one person only, though I could be wrong," Russell muttered. Then as she proposed the last question, he nodded. "Yes, that would make the most sense, though that could be difficult. I don't think there is any clues or evidence here for us to see who the victim was."

Arai raised his eyebrows. He doubted that this was under the Queens orders "I do believe that the Prince is not allowed to secure these, the Queen has ordered that they are collected and given to her." he held the bag in his hand, careful not to get it snatched or stolen "I would also like to here what the Prince has to say on this matter. And perhaps the Queen.[/b]"

broken(No problem) Aliissa scuffed her feet along the ground. "In which case, are we done here?" She looked around, frowning. "I don't know if there's anything left here. Perhaps the other scene of the fire?" She put her cane back on the ground, walking out of the ashes. She scrapped her shoes on the road, trying to get some of the soot off, but had little lucky. "Though if you had another idea, I'd be willing to listen. Maybe there just isn't a way to figure this out just by looking at the aftermath. I need to catch him while it's happening." -- Everyone Else Lin nodded at Arai's words. "This is also true. We would need to check on a lot of things." Her gaze trailed over the others again and she said, "House arrest, or what have you. I need to ask questions of my brother and that will come before I think about whether your actions were appropriate and under orders. Does that work for your busy schedule?" The last sentence was sarcastic and almost tired. She didn't want to deal with this mess. But she would, since the mystery would bug her if she didn't.

broken mintedstar/furπ¦ ππππππππππππCoire glimpsed away at the mention of the queen. That was the last thing they needed, in silence he looked over at his brother who's full attention was clearly at the princess and her escort. My brother is going to kill me if this doesn't get us killed.. He considered now. He wanted to speak up but this was better handled by the others, clearly... Glen stood firmly, refusing to show his concern across his face. Of course he wouldn't, he was a knight not of Arai's level but still had his experience under heat. This clearly wasn't looking good but he was certain that this could be cleared out if they all stepped back to pace through this. "Very well then. Bring him here and hear from it yourself." Glen dared openly. "There is nothing to hide when we were clearly following orders under the oath of family. Surely something to be understood, as to why or if something lies within we know not. Therefore, we will not tread into such matters. Instead we ask you bring him here to clear up such matters, then decide what to do from there. Don't jump the deep end before understanding what you are jumping into." He addressed.

broken Auransky ππππππππππππ(/LFG RK9 LKNM TRNM x4 or x8?) Hesitation in Lin's eyes paused her response for a long time. For several seconds, she just looked coolly on Glen and Coire. "Fine." The answer was clipped. And then she turned on her heels, stalking out of the room without another word as if she really expected to walk all the way to where her brother was. Maybe she was. She didn't know. She was annoyed and was torn between informing her mother first or talking to her brother. Lupin, who had remained silent and had still been standing behind Coire and Patrick, ducked his head further. He looked at Glen out of the corner of his eyes and gave a small sigh. He really was on the dangerous side. Not like he had other options.

Arai looked between the two groups. He eventually followed the Princess. If she was planning on hunting down her brother he wasn't about to let her go on her own. Of course he didn't like the idea, but if she ordered him to help he would do all he could to help locate him. As he walked past the group he sent them a wary look, prepared to fight back if they got blade happy.

mintedstar/furπ¦ ππππππππππππ broken(( "blade happy" LOL What is this, insanity?)) Glen watched the two firmly, "You can always send one for the prince, and the other can stay here." He suggested. "We simply seek to unravel this mishap" He shared his concern. "We were simply following what we were asked to do, therefore we have not much else to hide other then that which you found." Coire kept his silence in the background. He didn't want to speak uo, but if he did he would tell his brother to stop entirely. Just stop-before things got more complicated. At the same time his brother was simply playing by house rules-not their house literally, but just the common rules of protocal. At least that's what it appeared to be. To always check with higher ups to assure the story checks out. A-Assuming there was an sanity left in this kingdom.

Auransky ππππππππππππ broken (Of course it's insanity. ) Lin didn't look back, though she heard Glen's words. It just didn't seem appropriate to say anything. She had intended to do this anyway and said to Arai in an almost quiet voice, "Stay here. I'll locate my brother." If he wanted to protect her, that was his business. She could protect herself. But even then, she said to Glen, "Then come with me. We'll see if my brother even recognizes you." She waved a hand at Patrick. "And we can take the quiet one too." It was more to split up the house so they could plan anything. If those weren't all the gems, then she didn't want them trying to hide the remaining ones in a better spot. Lupin didn't think that he wanted Arai to hang around. This was starting to feel more and more like house arrest and it wasn't even his house! And he didn't want the angel near him. He wondered if he should just run. It was just another dangerous situation. Maybe for ones, he'd run fast enough.

Arai didn't look happy about that. He stopped mid step and scowled. It wasn't like he could go against her orders "Very well." he said, keeping his voice carefully level. He didn't look happy to be their either. Arai would have much rather preferred to go with her and keep her safe.

Out of instinct he clasped his feet together a hand against his chest then dipped his head forward, "As you wish my'lady." He replied firmly, then silently followed after the princess. At least she's dragging Patrick along, that'll help clear this up. But then again we failed the prince, he didn't want anyone else to know what we were up to.. He held back the urge to shrug, keeping a tall stance as he followed closely. Coire watched the two go in silence. he blinked a little surprised to see Patrick going along, but it might be for the better. Perhaps having two people, Lyle would clearly recognize. At least he hoped it would go that way. He crossed his arms now leaning back against the counter, This knight... he takes life too seriously. He's gotta be a rookie or something? To be too loyal without question..((Gonna wait for Broken before we shift to the castle scene xD We need Patrick's unwilling consent afterall))

(Sorry it took me so long to reply >.< I've been busy with school.) mintedstar/furπ¦Russell listened silently for a moment before turning to look at Aliissa. "No, I completely agree. There's no way we're going to get anymore information about what his reasoning was. We need to either find him or find the victim, though that might be hard to do," he muttered with a shrug. He began walking back the way they had come, but then stopped. "That's about all I can offer. I'm sorry." -- @ everyone Patrick blinked a few times as Lin addressed him, but remained quiet during their whole exchange. the teenager nodded slowly. It made sense since the prince knew him, and he wasn't about to argue with the princess. "That;s fine. I'll go," he muttered quickly, looking around at the group, then back at her.

Her lips came together in a line. Well. Was that saying he was done with helping? Well, fine then. That was fine, she told herself. She looked away, walking out of the remains of the house and saying, "Yes. That's fine. Thank you for your assistance." And she started walking away.

Arai glared at him, as if to say not to try anything. It was his job to keep her safe. If he died he'd be fired, or killed. They'd try at least. No matter, it would end in him leaving and joining the ranks of angels again. Which was no where near as fun as the humans world. He would much rather stay here.

Auransky ππππππππππππ brokenLin continued to walk, hardly pausing to make sure the other two were coming with her. She hadn't ridden here, so it seemed like they would be walking unless Glen had some transport he wanted to use. Lin pushed open the door, actually holding it open for Glen and Patrick. From her expression, it didn't seem out of politeness and more out of impatient. (And Lyle would be ... ? Or anything should interrupt her? :3 ) Lupin frowned at Arai before half-whispering to Coire, "Now what? We just gonna wait here in silence and try not to move?" Of course his traitor of a mouth decided to talk. He didn't look away from Coire now that he was the only one left. Needless to say, he couldn't hide behind anyone now.

mintedstar/furπ¦ broken ππππππππππππ(Right,Lyle just a sec lol) Glen walked past the gate baffled by her willingness to open the door. Perhaps it was out of politeness or it was something else? Nonetheless he turned to wait for Patrick , "um, I got some horses on the side. " he softly brought up. "If we wish to reach the castle faster, it would be best we take the horses with us." He advised, but honestly he was in no position to advise. He was more suggesting it the statement were to be taken through a different angle. ugh this is not what I expected. I at least had high hopes for another several days ---- Coire blinked , leaned slightly to the side to whisper back, "Well, we can sit down and just wait." He suggested , " this guy has a reputation, I doubt we'll get away of we wanted to. " he grimly added. "Just sit on the stool, take a breather or we can try to talk to him?" He softly whispered . Business glimspimg towards Arai from time to time.

Auransky broken ππππππππππππ "That would be helpful," Lin agreed, changing course and still not quiet waiting for the other two to catch up. She'd wanted to split the group up. Leave the odd man with the black hair with Arai, since he seemed rather suspicious. And Glen, whether he was high ranking or not, still indirectly worked for her. Patrick hadn't talked much, but seemed to know Lyle, so it was all rather suspicious on that end too. Honestly, she just wanted to get this wrapped up. "Which horse is yours?" she asked Glen. -- " You can talk to him if you want to. I'm not going near him," hissed Lupin, rather testily. He dragged the stool over and insisted on sitting behind Coire too. It was all very clear that he didn't want to be within the direct shot of Arai, though it wasn't clear why. At least he wasn't running. He just seemed like a cross between timid and hostile, resulting in a coward who glared from around Coire's back. If you could glare when only one eye was visible.

mintedstar/furπ¦ broken ππππππππππππGlen paced himself for the stables, keeping up with the other two. Once the stables were in view around the corner he sped further up ahead from the two. He stopped outside to unlock the door to the barn, which had been locked for the night. Next he turned to Lin and Patrick, "Horses were already settled for the night, but they shouldn't be entirely asleep yet." He mentioned, now walking in to see the individual stables lined across the right side of the wall. Though there was several, there was really only four compartments occupied by horses. He went for the third, second, and fourth set. Slowly opening each door one at a time, he reached out a gentle hand to greet each horse. Once the horses were acquainted he pulled each horse out of the small stall into the bigger end of the room. A brown creamy horse, a black and white, then a grey. With all three horses, he went for their saddles along the side beams in between the doors and proceeded to latch them onto the horses. After the process of what would seem endless, he waved a gentle hand towards the brown creamy horse, "That would be mine, feel free to use him." He addressed, then turned to Patrick, "They all know how to follow one another so it's fine whichever you pick." He politely hinted. --- Coire shrugged, Lupin clearly didn't want to be here. And honestly neither did he. But they were stuck on it because of his choice to bring the two to dinner. Even then would they have followed him to the house and invited themselves? Probably... "Well I'm sorry." He apologized to Lupin, "But they would have been here whether I invited them or not." he added softly, now falling silent. He looked around just to briefly distract himself, but his attention would always turn towards Arai. His posture, armor and weapon were quite admirable though. "S-Say.." Coire softly spoke up, "What kind of spear do you carry with you?" He raised a brow of curiosity. It was small talk, but it was also the inner geek in him, desiring to know what kind of spear it is specifically.

Arai blinked, surprised. He hadn't been expecting that. He couldn't tell them it was an angelic weapon, but he could show it to them. It's not like he hid it. Carefully removing it from his back he held it out towards the other "Curious? You can look at it. You won't find a better spear than this."

Auransky broken ππππππππππππ Lin did, in fact, pick Glen's horse. She had reasons for this and this was because she didn't want him riding his familiar mount and because she was also aware that he would be a good one. Of course, he could have directed her to a certain one, aware of this, but she could care less if he knew her line of thought this well. She hardly waited for Glen and Patrick and instead looked around with an inpatients that she did nothing to hide. (Wait for broken?) -- (You just hate Lupin, don't you Dia/Spark? XD Doesn't that count as a holy item!) Oh, sure, do small talk about weapons. Lupin didn't blame Coire for anything, but that didn't mean that he came across like that. No, instead he leaned further backwards, attempting to look bored but instead almost falling off his chair when Arai brought his spear into view. Inwardly, he started moaning 'whyyyyy meeee' and averted his eyes, gritting his teeth and gripping his chair/stool with his fingers. Would anyone notice that extra layer of tension? He didn't know. He tried to make it as unnoticeable as possible.

mintedstar/furπ¦ ππππππππππππCoire approached cautiously, how the knight held it out brought a clear view of its originality. He couldn't help but gasp in amazement just seeing the weapon that close, when given the opportunity to take a closer look, he reached out cautiously taking the weapon into his hands. It's heavy.. He blinked examining it. So he's more of a power fighter. Prefers the strong study for overtime conditioning and one hits. But the training one must take to wield something like this so casually-amazing. He ran a carefully along the rod side of the spear, feeling the engravements along his fingers. "This is incredible, not something I could see crafted by anyone in Nolyra. Surely something from far away." He acknowledged. Then carefully running ahead along the tip of the spear, he blinked feeling the edginess of the blade. "Very admirable." He commented, "And I see how the crafter made this work." He examined slightly returning his hands to the center , slowly tilting it from side to side. "It was build to be study, but the weight balances itself out both at the tip and bottom. This way power can be transmitted to hit whether you use the tip or the bottom. Have the leeway in the center, or the rod to say the least allows quick movement as you prepare to aggressively strike." He slowly returned the spear back to Arai, "The fact that it's not entirely smooth really builds the sturdyness and stops it from just rolling away. I'm going to have to incorporate some of those concepts." He paused now in thought, "But there's some things that could be done to make it better." he also added, "Just keep that away from water and you shouldn't have too much to worry about." He warned, at least based on his experience. For all he knew, the weapon he had just held was angelic therefore carrying properties that maybe he wasn't aware off.

"Oh? You seem to know what you're talking about. You are correct about it coming from far away. It wasn't made here." he couldn't tell him it was a blessed weapon, but he was right on about it being something no normal human could make "I've only seen a few other weapons like it." even as an angel, this spear was on of the best ever forged. Thankfully he had connections and since he was sent down here, it had been a while since he'd seen what had changed.

Lupin just watched Coire handle the weapon. Well, he watched Coire, he didn't watch the weapon. He really didn't need the play-by-play about the weapon, since he could tell most of that just from the brief look he'd gotten of it. His eyes briefly flicked to Arai and then returned to a safer position of somewhere around everyone's feet. He didn't say anything, instead letting the other two speak.
