broken "Exactly," said Aliissa, holding onto her cane with both hands. She supposed that was all she could expect, though Russell gave her a couple things to think about. Her lips came together in a line. Well. Was that saying he was done with helping? Well, fine then. That was fine, she told herself. She looked away, walking out of the remains of the house and saying, "Yes. That's fine. Thank you for your assistance." And she started walking away. Russell smiled slightly, then dipped his head as he watched her walk away. He just stood there for a moment, not too sure if he should follow or if this was the end of their encounter. Whatever it was, he decided to follow, taking a few hesitant steps forward. βSo, should I help you look for them, or would you like to work alone now?β

mintedstar/furπ¦ AuranskyPatrick had been watching silently with his arms crossed. He didnβt have much to add to what little conversation they were having. Instead he was lost in thought about what might happen. He sighed and quickly mounted the black and white horse, looking from Glenn to Lin. βCan we at least take this slow? I really donβt want to fall off.β

She didn't care whether he came with her or not, so it didn't really matter. "I work however best I can. Alone or with another it doesn't matter." She frowned, then added. "He's called Regimald. The person who started the fires. I don't think I ever said his name." This was the closest thing to permission for Russell to help. "As for where he is, I know where he lives. By definition. He hadn't 'lived' there for over fifty years." If it would surprise Russell to learn that Percival Regimald was over fifty years old, she didn't know.

mintedstar/furπ¦ broken Once the two had mounted, Glen got on the last horse. There was no need to lie as to which was his or not. It wouldn't help them in this situation, not divided at least. At the same time, all the horses knew the "follow the leader trick." so Patrick would be fine in not having to actually manuver the horse. Once the three were secured, he signled the horses, and headed off at a moderate pace under Patrick's request. of course if Lin demanded it, they would have no choice but to speed. ---------------- ππππππππππππ "I can tell that the one who crafted that put great joy into their creation." Coire complimented, "Of course years of wear and tear, but it still holds strong. Just keep in mind that sooner or later you will need to get that remolded or resharpeend. Things only last so long." He smiled, "Yea I have been given the opportunity to train under some very well known blacksmiths. Both here in Nolyra and outside of our borders." He smiled now, though under house arrest there was no reason to have one last talk, right? "My father Sir Levinwind used to take me out for long periods of time to practice my craftsmen ship. Though he was upset that I refused to follow his footsteps, he granted my wish." he shared softly. "So when father would carry out operations, he would have me tag along then drop me off with a master smither elsewhere. Depending on how long his operations lasted, I would be under the wing of my mentor for long periods of time."

Auransky broken But Lin did not demand it. She simply allowed the horse to follow the pace being set. If Patrick fell off the horse, that would just slow things up. So she didn't allow that to happen. Instead she inwardly sighed and just straightened her body and scanned the surrounding area as if watching for something. She was no fool. She'd keep alert. These two had reasons to be nervous, if they were lying about her brother, so she was careful to watch them for sighs that they would do something desperate.

The three horses continued pressing through the woods. Travel time had passed, as they had gone further from where they had started. The town was now in view, and with that Glen had to turn so that they could take the fastest route around the town by going along the outskirts. Eventually the horses would trot into town along the edge, and continue until they made it out of town through the other end. Continuing on, it was only a matter of time before the horses would make it for the castle property. Even then they would need to make another turn for the stables, where the horses could be properly placed.
Glen kept his attention on the path ahead, then would turn back to take a look at the two on the other horses. They were very close to the horse stables, as it was in view he slowed the horses then proceed to stop them. He himself jumped off, to open the gate which held back the horses. With them open, he turned to Lin, and Patrick. "You two want to go on ahead, while I put the horses properly in?" He raised a curious brow.
Lyle was seated in one of the private study quarters, close to where the stables were. He was rather frustrated with his latin studies, and at this point it was more making mean faces rather then actually thinking about how to proceed his studies.

"Hmmm yes, one could tell you are very practiced. That you have experience." Arai replied. The man knew what he was doing. The spear had been getting old. He'd had it for centuries. Arai would have to get it fixed eventually, but that would require returning to his kind. Which was never something he'd willingly do.

Auransky brokenLin dismounted, leaving the horses for Glen and then looking to Patrick to see if he was following. Lyle would be in his studies, wouldn't he? She could guess pretty easily that he wouldn't mind being interrupted. She almost smiled, but then she remembered the company she was keeping and instead waved a hand at Patrick to tell him to follow her. She started walking before he could give any sort of sign of recognition. She opened doors, waving Patrick through when needed. It was only as she was outside Lyle's door when she turned to Patrick and asked, "And how," she asked. "Do you feel your position is in all of this? An important one, that my brother gave you, hum?" She let her eyes narrow a little.

((I've always had an interest in photography/filming. In 1st grade I got my first cam corder, but it was 7th grade that openly sparked when I tagged along with our band's percussion group who were filming some things around lunch time. They were specifically filming for our school's video yearbook; which I came to find out shortly after when I was asked to stay after school to help with prop management on the field. The majority of the video yearbook team that year was in martial arts so watching them create ninja themed sketches for the yearbook's in between scenes was fascinating. Watching the end product at the end of the year sold my ticket to be on board for the team the following year. )) ((I signed up, alongside a few other classmates; who today are my closest friends. )) ((We learned how to film, edit, and tamper with 3D programs to create the anniversary yearbook. During the anniversary yearbook we got to interview, interact, and look back at the past years which made the yearbook a possibility. It was a heavy task for the five of us, but we had fun challenging one another with angles to editing that we did not consider ourselves.)) ((Going into high school we just continued filming and editing on our own time. Occasionally grouping up to make projects.)) ((Now I kinda just drag a camera along and stumble upon events. Whether I plan it or not. *.*' ))

Patrick had been following after Lin, completely distracted by the surrounding of the castle. He wasnβt really been paying much attention to whether or not the princess ask talking to him- he had never been some place so nice before. That was until she had stopped walking and had almost ran into her that he was taken out of his thoughts. βHm? Oh um, well Iβm not too sure what you mean. Iβd say that me and your brother, well, weβre friends. Other than that, Iβm not really sure. But I do assure you that we were telling the truth earlier.β
β Russell stared at her, not too sure what to do. He would probably stay and help her, so she wouldnβt have to do that alone. βVery well, thank you for that information,β he commented simply before tapping a finger to his lips as he thought. βIβll help you, if I may. This proves to be difficult for one person to handle on their own. However, I might need more information about is Regimald. But it doesnβt seem like you know much more, otherwise youβd tell me right?β

She turned back to the door, knocking twice before pushing it open. She wasn't sure how to pinpoint her brother at first, but her eyes soon landed on him and she strode into the room, a small smile that Patrick couldn't see in her eyes and on her lips. From there, she cleared her expression and waved a hand at Patrick. "Come in. Might as well see ... your friend." -- "I might," said Aliissa. "But I might now. It rather depended on whether I found you to be trustworthy. Something I can't tell after such a brief meeting. Or I might not tell you because it might put you in unneeded and unnecessary danger." She'd put him in danger if it was necessary. "He's someone who leads a double life, but that's something easy enough to tell. Other than that, I can't say for sure." And here she shrugged. "Finding out the rest is the mission."

mintedstar/furπ¦ broken ((I thought I replied to this. >.> Guess not)) Lyle was deep into his studies, both in time and focus. However, by this time things appeared to be loosing importance. The words on the pages were quickly becoming blocks of text. The font was connecting with one word to the next, and everything was just plain words at this point. Rather upsetting, if not mildily frustrating What I would do for a distraction, right about now- Before he could finish his thoughts the door had knocked. He instantly turned his head, blinking in surprise. Did I say that out loud? Before he could mouth the words, come in, Lin was already coming in. "L-Lin!" Lyle blinked, then leaned out of the side to see a second person. "A-And Patrick!?" He called out deeply caught off guard. "W-What brings urgency brings you both here that needs my attention?" He raised a curious brow. Actually... do I really want to know? He felt his stomach churning. Why was Patrick here, with Lin no less? Oh dear...ππππππππππππ "I appreciate your observance, but I still find myself unfit to bear any claim to experience. At least in my mentors eyes, I will never reach that of the great smiths. First because I'm human as he said, but more importantly because I am missing something that he once called the invisible sight. Something I am not sure of myself, but based on how he praised everything other then his weak apprentices, I can assume he was referring to his non human apprentices." He shrugged at the thought. "A shame that he could not bear to appreciate while he was still able to see. Later a witch permanently blinded him for such rudeness in her presence, and that left him with only his hands to carry on his works. Though slow , he still works to this day regretting or hating all of us. I cannot claim which, for he shooed us all as soon as it happened."

"While I have no place to say anything, he seems as if he is a person you should not bother with." Arai replied "I am sure his skill is very high, but dismissing someone simply for being different or unable to do something will only result in a lost talent. I have seen that before many times. It's never pretty." he said thoughtfully.

Auransky broken "So you know each other," said Lin, impressed that this part, at least, hadn't been a lie. She watched her brother's expression, lips pressed together just a little bit. She knew her brother. Knew all his little expressions. She didn't like the look of his reaction to all of this. "Attention," she explained. "Was whether you were aware of some ... occurrences that have recently happened." Her eyes flicked to Patrick. "I recently stumbled across a blacksmith and a couple of odd ... " She turned her attention away and said, "Though maybe I should see if you can't explain it to me." --- (The oh so silent Lupin. -.- )

ππππππππππππ Coire took in a deep breath, "Things all happen for a reason." He softly replied. "But the time I did spend with him, those are the moments I consider valuable. The skills and lessons, alongside the time to teach what I would come to use." He considered the bright side. He stood up now, to stretch his back. "Life is a mystery in its own way. Sometimes it will smoothly present itself, and at other times it will slap you right in the face and remind you that today is a challenge." ((LOL I can imagine Lupin just frozen in the background)) broken mintedstar/furπ¦ Lyle slowly nodded, "Y-Yes of course, we are friends." He now sounded slightly confused. "But it strikes me as odd to see you bring him here, rather I am afraid to know why you have encountered a friend like him.." His voice softened now. His sister was taking the floor, it was clearly her floor as she dove right into the questions. Trying to keep calm, he remained silent listening trying not to react, but the samll reactions were noted with his twitching, and slight shift in body away from her. "The blacksmith.." He softly replied now thinking. Blacksmith... blacksmith...blacksmith... He tried to remember the individuals name. His brother was Glen. He moved his lips slowly, "The blacksmith is Glen's brother." He recalled. "They had another person with them, who I think was Lupin.." he slowed his words diving deep into his thoughts to pull out names. He had met Lupin briefly towards the end, but he was certain that it was the newcomers name. "But what is it you wanted me to explain?" He asked, internally panicing for his life. Auransky mintedstar/furπ¦Patrick had remained silent this whole time, not really making any eye contact with either of them. He just stared at the ground, kind of scared to even say anything in fear he'd mess something up. Though, eventually, he took the tiniest step forward, pointing towards Lin as he talked. "Well, you see a her guard found the gems... and this is what that's about. As well as how we found you, because I don't think she believe me or Coire." - mintedstar/furπ¦"Oh? Well I am more than willing to help. And believe me, I am a very trustworthy individual," Russell muttered with the slightest smile as he kept up with her. "However I must say that it seems like this is going to be a difficult mission. But we'll eventually find this guy, as long as you tell me everything you know. It's important and I don't care if it puts me in danger or not."

"You have a point." Arai nodded. He could definitely see the logic in that. He had lived for longer than a human and even living for that long he had never quite mastered the way of life. Mostly because of what the other had said. It was always changing and throwing unexpected curves.

(That's basically what he's doing. XD He doesn't want to say something stupid.) broken AuranskyLin listened to what he brother said, shoulders relaxed just a little when he confirmed that he had known the people she had just met. Her features even softened, just a bit, when she looked at Patrick when he was speaking only to look back at her brother and say, "I wasn't willing to take them at their world when they said they knew you." Her eyes twitched to the side, like she wanted to look back at Patrick and say something to - or maybe about - him but she thought better of it. "I was hoping that talking to you before talking to someone else about the gems," someone else like mother, she thought, "Would give you a chance to tell me what's going on." -- broken"He's a vampire," said Aliissa with as deadpan of a voice as possible. Well, if Russell wanted to know what he was getting into ... And what were they going to pin her for? Spreading rumors about her fellow nobles? Seemed unlikely that anyone believe the first part, that a noble was the one setting fires, that if they swallowed that why would it be so hard to swallow that he was also an undead creature of the night? It might have been funny if Aliissa hadn't had a stunted sense of humor. "Think of that what you will." A vampire who started fires. The foolish nut. "Come on," she said, walking in the direction of what seemed like a random street. And if Russell was coming Russell was coming. Aliissa was tired of walking and she'd decided that, if she was getting tired of it, she might just not bother to do it anymore.

mintedstar/furπ¦ brokenLyle was keeping his cool, or at least it somewhat appeared like he was holding down his fort. He nodded politely to indicate he was listening to Lin, while screaming on the inside that this issue was crumbling. Finally, she mentioned gems-er no Patrick did too. They both did, it was the shatter point of we been discovered. Oh gods, she's going to kill them for this, isn't she?! "You can't talk to anyone else about this matter!' Lyle suddenly blurted out of nowhere, his eyes widening at the concern of the matter. "Patrick, Glen, Coire they have nothing to do with this. It's all my doing and mine alone." He spoke rapidly, somewhat hyperventilating himself in the moment. "Mother showed me the first batch of the gems, she told me that there was too little known about them, so I snuck out and went to the mines. I was attacked by a demon who got a hold of hold of some of the rocks and information on the gems. This man, Patrick alongside a few others found me, and helped me in my time of need. But my curiosity led us back where we found the sack that I was planning to go check on tomorrow!" He voice had risen, not in anger but in result to the lack of breath he had skipped on. With that final sentence he took in a deep breath. "If you tell mother any of this she's going to incarcerate everyone you mention. Evenmore so, she will punish me for disobaying her orders of leaving the castle grounds. On top of that she will brutally punish me for going to the cave that is currently off limits!" He took three steps back, "I ask you sister, please do not speak of this to anyone! For the safety of the people involved especially! Mother has a team working on this case, so what we find out is of no importance to them!" But why was it in a sack to begin with? He now wondered, unaware that it was meant for the castle to retireve later. ππππππππππππ Mint Coire nodded silently, "Oh well, no point in wishing for the past. Things went the way they did and I'm accepting of it." He rolled his neck to the side, "Would you care for a glass of water?" he politely asked Arai, then turned his head over to Lupin, "How about you?" He lightly asked.

Auransky brokenHaving Lyle practically pleading with her ... no, he was pleading with her, had Lin take a step backward. What was she supposed to say to all that? Wasn't she suppose to inform the Queen of all people about these things? But Lyle was also very insistent and though Lin held no loyalty to anyone connected with the blacksmith she did not want to see her brother's reaction if she told. But ... She didn't want to see her mother's either. Her frosty expression cracked for a few seconds, showing that torn in two look that she ever so often got. "Fine," she stated curtly and shortly. "I wont tell her unless it become important to someone's safety." That look to Patrick again. "Be careful that you're friends are aware of what they are doing and that you stay silent when you need to." When she looked back at Lyle there was just a touch of worry in her eyes before it was gone again. ππππππππππππ and Dia (Lupin, Lupin, Lupin. *shakes head) Direct questions to the fallen angel nearly caused him to jump out of his seat. He might have been sweating if he hadn't felt ice cold all over him. And he was being asked for water. Like he needed anything else to cool him down. "Ah, sorry," he said, brushing a strand of hair away from his eyes. "I didn't realize you were addressing me for a second." The cover up wasn't such a bad one, in his opinion. "And yes, I would like some, thank you." To think he'd gotten roped into this whole situation just because he'd wanted his rings fixed. All the time he'd been sitting here he'd been spinning his remaining one around and around on his finger until the skin felt raw. That in itself was a bit of a give away to the nervousness, but this was saying Arai or Coire looked down at his fingers.
