Sidney was a bit taken back at his response, but decided to ignore it. She'd packed her swimsuit in her bag, so if anything she'd just chill by the pool and try to have some fun. She turned away from Kellan and got up to walk to the car, feeling slightly confused at the wall he'd now built up between them. Wasn't this the same guy who had sung to her and openly expressed his love for music?
As she found her way to the door, she didn't even bother waiting for him to open it for her. As she hopped in, she sighed and rolled down her window to let some air into the car. As she propped her elbow up onto the edge of the window, she lost herself in a train of thought: since she didn't really belong anywhere in the many groups of cliques, who would she sit with at lunch? How was she going to know who was trustworthy or not? If Kellan hadn't ran into her this morning, what would she be doing now?
Turning to Kellan, she allowed her small bit of anger to subside. "So what can I expect at this party?" she asked, pushing a small smile from her lips. Under the pressure of it all, she was still kind of excited to attend an event with a lot of people. She was a very outgoing and friendly person when it came to making friends. It was the guys who made her nervous. Kellan stood up and made his way to his car. He made sure Sidney was in before getting in the driver's seat. He closed the door and buckled in before pulling out of the driveway and starting to drive to Sorren's house. He turned off the AC and rolled down his window, resting his arm in the opening he had just made. He ran a hand through his hair as he lost himself in thoughts as he drove along. He jumped slightly as Sidney suddenly addressed him again. " Oh, uhm. A lot of guys trying to hook up with girls. A lot of girls trying to get into guys' pants with not so modest looks. Maybe some alcohol. Crazy loud music with people dancing really bad- both skill-wise and inappropriate dancing. People probably stripping down to underwear and jumping in the pool if they forgot swimwear like I did. Uhm... What else?" He disappeared into his mind as he tried to remember anything else, mumbling stuff under his breath as he did so.
[ Just going off of what I read in *cough*fan-fics*cough* xD ]

Lily led River to the table her BF and friend was sitting at. River was questioning whether she should just leave or not. She was uncomfortable with all the crap going on around her.

"Hey guys sorry I took so long! This is River!" said Lily. "Hey River," said Jacob smiling. "Hi," said Collin.

Dmitri ducked his head as though trying to hide so nobody would notice him as he walked in, closing the door as asked. It was pretty much a useless attempt, but he firmly pretended that it was true that if he couldn't see them, they couldn't seem him. It was somewhat pathetic. He found somewhere to linger, looking around and watching absently as Matt got ready. It was odd how he moved so in contrast to his whole aesthetic, but it showed how he fit in with the clique. It was interesting, and somehow made him relax a little. He knew how to handle people that were a part of his same group. Dmitri looked at the music, trying to figure it out in his head while waiting for Matt to finish whatever he was doing. He hummed a bit to warm up, not wanting to go through actual voice exercises when there were people around that weren't the rest of the choir. It was weird for him. He startled as he usually did when he was addressed, and he nodded quickly. "Oh, yes. I'm ready." Matt nodded. " Cool. Alright. Well, are you warmed up or whatever vocalists need to do?" He didn't want Dmitri to harm his voice by not warming up properly. He dug back in his book sack and got his flip-folder out with his marching music in it before playing a few warm-up scales. "Oh. I also have my marching band music, and we play some popular songs in case you wanted to sing those instead of the classical music stuff. I know everyone has their preferences." He smiled softly at the other, shy male. Matt hoped Dmitri would warm up to him and let loose. He felt as if the other Music Dude had relaxed a bit, but Matt wanted Dmitri to be completely comfortable being around him since they're in the same clique and all that.{Hi I am sooo sorry I promise I'm not dead!} Dmitri nodded, giving him a tentative smile in return. "I think I'm okay. I was with some other choir kids earlier, so I should be fine." When he was with the other kids in choir, there was usually quite a bit of singing, so he was encouraged to join. He always did, because he liked singing, and it was usually better than the actual songs they had to sing in choir because they knew what music people actually liked to listen to. "I like popular songs. Choir always has us singing less enjoyable music, so it's always like a breath of fresh air to sing songs I like. Or at least, sing songs that other people like. So, um, what did you have in mind?" He started fidgeting with the sleeves of his sweater.

{And Mick is smitten CX This is the moment of "the stars are beautiful. You know what else is beautiful?" except Lani would be like "the moon" or something because she is not having that cliche (or meme) pulled on her} Lani could feel his eyes on her, but she didn't acknowledge it. She was too busy looking at a sight she rarely got to see to wonder too much why he was looking at her. It was peaceful and dark and quiet and that was how she liked it. It wasn't scary, but maybe that was because there was someone with her. She wouldn't have gone out here on her own, no matter how much she liked the water and the sky. It was a bit too easy for her to get lost in musing over the sound of the water and how the moon reflected over it, and how, even though the party absolutely sucked, she was happy to be on this beach. She hadn't been on a beach at night in years, and the last time had been with her family. It was something she had always wanted to recreate, but she hadn't been able to. "Hm?" She looked at him, shaking herself out of her thoughts. "Uh... I can't say I do anything particularly crazy... My friend and I snuck into one of those cliche graveyards with the creepy gargoyles and everything. This was like, before I moved here last year. I don't really do much, so that's not very interesting. Um, I almost set my aunt's house on fire once. That's about the extent of it unless you want me to talk about that dead bird I made my friend carry around or that time my friends made me contribute to their weird fanfiction. I never really joined my friends in anything that can really constitute as 'crazy,' not that many of us really did anything. It was like, one or two of my friends that actually did things. The rest of us stayed at home and requested for hot pizza guys and girls to come by." She smiled a bit in amusement. It wasn't anything really extravagant, but it had been fun for her. They were all too busy to do much together anymore, but thinking back on it always made her happy. {I couldn't think of anything "crazy" an introverted teenage girl would do that didn't include drinking and parties, but Lani is very, very friend-oriented so all her stories have to do with them haha} Mick snickered at Lani's little series of "daring" adventures. Normally he'd have something sarcastic to say in response, but the words escaped his mind before he could make use of them up in his head. Instead, he stared up at the sky with his hands behind his head, letting his thoughts come and go as more stars began to dot along the sky. From the corner of his eye he noticed a shooting star and couldn't help but allow a small laugh to escape from his lips. After catching his breath, he turned to look at Lani with an incredulous stare, wondering if she'd noticed it, too. The moment was too cliche, even for Mick's hopeless romantic taste. He wasn't really planning on making the night as amorous as it had become, and although he couldn't deny how pretty she looked in the moment, it just seemed too soon to want to be anything more than friends. For now, he'd save his thoughts for a different point in time.
Mick sat up to stretch his back and arms, not bothering to fix the layer of sand that now clung to the back of his head and back side of his body. As he crossed his legs to remain upright, he held out a hand to offer the chance for Lani to sit up as well. Letting his curiosity get the best of him, he ended up blatantly asking her, "Why did you come to Lincoln High?" His face stiffened as he noticed how much more antagonizing his question had come out than he'd meant to, making him shake his head to eagerly take it back. "I, uh.. That wasn't supposed to sound mean; I'm just curious." He clenched and unclenched his jaw, hoping he's find a different question to ask. Instead, he let random words flow from his mouth. "You seemed really uptight earlier and I guess I'm just kind of proud that I could get you to relax a little. I know we just met and all, but you're pretty cool. That is, for someone who's a total DC and math nerd." He smirked at the last part, hoping she'd see his sense of humor. After a nervous chuckle, he lifted his other hand up and rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry for dragging you to out to the party.. and then here. I get that being unrestrained and a bit foolish isn't really your scene." He shot her an apologetic look, hoping she'd be able to make light of their situation. He didn't plan on telling her that there was another private way to get down here without causing a fuss until later. For the most part, she seemed to be enjoying herself. Maybe he should stop trying to talk.Lani, as she tended to do, remained oblivious to his thoughts and stares. She mused on the romantic atmosphere, but didn't think much of it. As far as she was concerned, romance wasn't something she expected much of in high school. Though her last relationship-not-relationship had ended on mutual terms, it was enough for her to decide that romance in high school didn't make much sense for her, though it was a pleasant thought that she entertained in her own time. Seeing the shooting star, she made her usual wish of becoming successful in the future and living exactly how she wanted. She glanced at Mick when he laughed, but didn't ask, and when he offered a hand, she took it and sat up. She focused on getting the sand out of her hair while listening to him ramble. She couldn't help the small laughter that came out as he tried to correct and explain himself for reasons she didn't understand. The question hadn't seemed all that rude, at least not to her. It was amusing watching him stumble. She didn't think she'd have quite that affect on anyone. "I was just being awkward earlier," she told him, smiling a bit. "It's easier when I genuinely like someone. You should see me at school when I meet up with my friends." She shook her head a bit and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Anyway, the question wasn't rude. I didn't come to Lincoln High of my own discretion. My brother's going to college nearby for god knows why, and at the same time, my dad got a job offer that was really good. My mom got herself transferred out here, so we moved from my beautiful hometown and I was sent to Lincoln High. I wasn't happy about it, but I dealt with it. Somehow I made new friends and managed to stay out of drama, so it worked out. And I still get to talk to my old friends and visit them every summer." There were a lot of things she missed, and it showed on her face. Her hometown had been home, with the outdoor mall everybody went to and the forests and the generally peaceful atmosphere of it all. She never liked dwelling on it. It always made her sad, and sometimes angry, even if she had learned to like the life she made for herself here.

It was his last year of high school, Beau knew he had to give it his all. He couldn't slack off like he had for the past couple years, because he wanted to graduate and really start his life. He was eighteen and he had big hopes for himself. Even though he doesn't know what he truly wants to be yet for a career, he has a feeling he will figure it out along the way. He wants to travel, he's been working extra hours at his job at Tim Hortons and has been saving his money for a long while. By the time his senior year is over his bank will be very full. It was still difficult waking up in the morning because it was so early, Beau just transferred schools this year and today is his first day. He lay in bed, listening to his alarm going off for an extra three minutes, unwilling to get out of bed, until he did, the hardwooded floor cold beneath his feet. Walking to the bathroom next to his room on the right, he turned on the light and looked at his reflection in the mirror, his brown hair was messy and greasy, he needed to shower and comb down his mop. Slipping of his pajama pants because he slept without a shirt, he stepped into the shower and turned the faucet on hot, and started lathering his body and hair with soap.
As soon as he was done, the bathroom was foggy from how hot the water was, and his pale skin was a bright red. Toweldrying his hair, he grabbed acomb and quickly brushed it down, although he knew when it dried it was going to be messy again, but at least it will look cleaner than it did when he got up. Beau decided to wear something casual on his first day, which was black skinny jeans and a black shirt with Spiderman on it, because he has always been his favorite super hero. And then to top it off, he grabbed a hoodie, which was also black, zipped it up halfway and then made his way downstairs for breakfast. His stepmom had made pancakes and eggs and bacon, probably to make this day more special for him, but in his opinion, its a different school but its not that different because they teach you all the same criteria. "Hey Mary, breakfast looks great." Beau greeted her as he sat down and started to dig in.
Mary smiled as she was just finishing up the last couple of pancakes on the stove. "Thanks, your father should be up any minute to join us. Are you ready for your first day?" she asked, her eyes looking at him curiously.
Beau shrugged his shoulders, eating his food quickly because he needed to be at school in twenty minutes. "Not particuarly, but I'll let you know how it goes. I have to be off now, I'll see you guys later."Slipping his dishes in the sink, he kissed Mary on the cheek and then grabbed his bookbag and was off to get in his car and drive to school.
When Beau got in the parking lot, he sat there for a couple of seconds before opening his door and stepping out. The school was already crowded with students. I wonder if they can sense that I'm new here he wondered. Beau walked into the school as casually as he could, looking at his schedule and where his locker would be, walking there quickly and then opening his locker and putting his things away. He stifled a sigh, not looking forward to people staring at him all day.
