It wasn't a very comfortable feeling, but Eric knew that he needed to stop Riley somehow. It wouldn't have been so bad if the vampire had just come across her before anyone got hurt like last time, but he had watched Riley kill three werewolves right in front of him. He threw a punch at her face, as fast and strong as he could manage. "That's what I'm trying to tell you. Those wolves were people. I'm a person. You need to stop killing people just because they happen to be a little different from you." Eric really didn't want to fight Riley, much less hurt her. It just didn't seem like there was any other way out.

Eric hadn't expected Riley to recover so quickly, and was easily thrown to the ground when Riley tackled him. After taking a moment to pull himself together, he did his best to roll her over and take the dominant position. "If you wanted to do the world a favor, you'd turn your back on hunting." He understood that people tended to lack the ability to turn into wolves, but he couldn't see how Riley justified killing those werewolves. Their only crime was existing in the first place. "No matter how hard you or your friends try, there will always be people like us around. And they won't always be as stupid as those wolves. Don't you see, you're going to get yourself killed for this. I'm trying to help you!" Eric had seen and caused enough death in his short time as a vampire. Riley had always seemed to mean well, but it seemed there was no way of getting her to see that killing supernaturals was evil. "Those wolves never hurt anyone. If you have to kill somebody here it should be me."

Eric growled in response to Riley's statements. "You don't have to do any of this. I can't change what I am, but you can. You don't have to be a hunter." He leaned in, fighting with himself as every part of him screamed for him to bite her. "You weren't born for this, but if you want stop I'll have to stop you." That was the last thing he said before lunging forward and aiming his fangs at her neck.

(Sorry I've been gone so much, last week was insanely busy.)
The knife hurt, and the vampire clutched at the wound with one hand while he glared at Riley. "You're going to get killed if you don't stop." Eric bared his teeth briefly before lunging at Riley's neck again. He stopped himself short though, not really wanting to hurt her. Instead he backed away. "If those other hunters were any good at their jobs, this place wouldn't be crawling with people like me." The worlds came as a growl, and Eric struggled to decide what he should do. He couldn't hurt Riley, but he couldn't let her get away with murdering supernaturals. Glaring at the huntress, he spoke again. "If it's going to come to it, just kill me like you should've before." It was an interesting decision. While Eric didn't want to let Riley keep killing people, he understood the point of killing people like himself. An eternal life trapped hurting or killing people to survive wasn't something he had ever wanted, and he was certain that he was a danger. He felt bad for the wolves, their deaths were unjustified and pointless. They didn't need to die, but maybe he did.
