Eric chuckled a bit at the strange request, not quite understanding why she wanted him to attack her. He realized from the arrow sticking out of his wall that she had meant to kill him, but it seemed Riley didn't have the nerve to actually pull it off. Getting to his feet, Eric took a moment to steady himself before staggering over towards Riley. He wound up a punch, but by the time it connected it was more like being slapped with a pool noodle. The vampire then proceeded to hug/lean on Riley as he had thrown himself terribly off balance. After a moment of awkward getting his feet under himself again, Eric readied another punch. "You might have to kill me." The young man spoke with a laugh, then kissed Riley on the cheek before cracking her in the jaw with all of his vampiric strength. "Sorry," Eric winced before continuing, "that was a bit harder than I was shooting for."

Eric squinted as he looked towards her, flinching a bit as he faced the fact that she wanted him to hit her again. "You know, you don't have to go back there." Luckily he was in worse shape than most people could survive, so he was able to force himself to continue. "Instead of having me beat you up so you can go hang out with a bunch of killers, you could just stay here." Regardless, the vampire threw another punch towards her stomach. He managed to keep his strength in check this time, for Riley's sake. "I may be a vampire, but that doesn't mean I like this kind of bloodshed." This was certainly not something Eric was used to.

Riley keeled over this time, though she held up a hand for him to stop. "That should be good," she wheezed. Riley got up, inspecting her soon-to-bruise areas. "Don't try to contact me, because I won't go easy on you next time." She promised him in a tough voice. It was clear, though, that she wouldn't be able to keep that promise. "I belong with them. They rescued me." Riley reminded herself more than she reminded Eric. And with that, she began to leave. Her next stop would be the farms. As she left, however, Eric would be able to pick up two words. "Thank you."

"Go easy? I won that fight." Eric muttered, though it was true he "won" it was only because Riley had injured her ankle that he had caught up with her. He wasn't going to say anything about the whole almost killing him in his sleep thing since she had clearly decided against it. He opened his mouth to speak again when she claimed to belong with the hunters, but shut it before he could. There was no point arguing anymore. "Anytime...goodbye I guess." With that Eric decided it was time for a cigarette. Not very many people could say they had almost been killed twice in one day, or that they had to beat up their would-be killer to help keep up appearances.

OOC: Text
IC: Jaxon laughed when he heard her sign off. "What a stupid girl," he muttered with a wicked grin plastered on his face. He couldn't believe he bought his lie about her parents, and he was never a good liar. Far from it. He was even surprised at how easily he convinced her that she was doing good for the world. She was only doing good for him. He laughed wickedly again and sat back on the chair.
.+*_-----_*+.
Chase told his head as he padded closer. He was being genuine, at least from what he could tell. He seemed to be remorseful, and terrified of the consequences. When he threatened him, Chase narrowed his eyes. "Make me?" He asked carefully. He would probably not tell them anyway, but he was still deciding.

( Blah blah, Riley shows up at the farms, yadda ya )
Riley knocked on Jaxon's office door. Her bruises were visible now, and several cuts adjourned her face, done by herself. "I'm back." She stated, stepping back from the door. She decided she'd assume a new attitude around Jaxon. Tough and bold. After all, that's the way she felt, lying to him. The strange thing was; lying brought her more adrenaline than fighting supernaturals. She was strange indeed.
A low growl emanated from Mark's threat. It seemed he expected a fight. "I- I mean it, not a word." He spoke directly to Chase, taking a step back as he approached. The young werewolf was concerned deeply about this. Naturally, he wanted to preserve his life for as long as he could. It never occurred to him once that the wolf he thought he'd killed might have been wounded only. This wouldn't have caused the reaction he'd received, he decided.

Eric was scrolling through his phone, grumbling as he noticed that his boss had been calling him throughout the day. Apparently he had work earlier. Judging by the angry voicemails that had been left for him, it seemed he no longer needed to worry about showing up to work. Rubbing his face and running his hands through his hair, he tried to care about the loss of this job. Sure, he would live forever and something like his part-time job seemed pointless in the long run, but money was still a nice thing. It bought him cigarettes and booze, not to mention all the other things he enjoyed that were probably just damaging the body he'd be trapped in forever. And paid for the apartment. Being homeless wouldn't be fun, he'd need to find a new job. Finding the strength to get to his feet, Eric grabbed his keys and headed out of the apartment, locking up behind himself. He started towards the forest, intent on checking up on Chase and Mark. Maybe I'll get lucky and find some 'food' on the way there, He thought hopefully to himself as he trudged forward.

( Sure. I think I'll go with Riley chilling in the woods for some reason, maybe say she's targeting a specific creature and happens to run into Eric during the kill )
Riley was sitting in a particularly high pine tree in the forest, stalking a werewolf. This werewolf in particular had been recently turned and found refuge in a local pack. Her supervisors, of course, wouldn't have this. She leaped to another tree to get a better vantage point. The thing was in its bestial form, which made it easier for her to hurt it. She carefully chose a silver arrow, the tip glinting in the moonlight that rippled through the foliage above. The werewolf was surprisingly lazy, not picking up on her noises. It would soon, though. Riley fired the arrow straight through its leg, causing it to howl in pain.
She climbed down, nocking another arrow now. It was too late, though. She hadn't realized she'd given her position away so easily. She blamed it on the smoke of that vampire's house. Riley was swiped into a tree trunk, falling down like a rag doll. The creature moved to inspect her, which was a fatal mistake. As it approached, Riley drew her silver knife. It tried to attack her first, only to hit the tree behind her. Riley ducked behind it and began stabbing it wherever she could, grunting as she worked. The creature soon fell over from the pain, allowing Riley to move in for the kill. It howled for a long time, now, before falling silent. Dead.

(Sounds good.)
That sort of howling was never a good sign. Eric covered his ears as the pained screams of the dying werewolf tore through the forest, growling as he failed to try and block out the sound. Unfortunately it was just one werewolf howling, which meant this wasn't just a fight between a couple of the guys from the pack. Given the fact that Riley had been around yesterday, Eric assumed it was another hunter. Time to find out who's killing werewolves. It wasn't a very pleasant thought, but he was already in the forest. If this was a hunter, he felt certain that it wouldn't be long before they caught wind of him too. Eric would have to make sure to make a meal of the hunter before they could make a corpse out of him. The red eyes made it pretty clear that he wasn't quite human.

Riley had, of course, just alerted the pack to her presence. Two more werewolves ran to investigate, tearing through the woods so that Riley could hear them. She shook her head, angry at something. After retrieving her arrows, she took aim at the opening the wolves would use to enter. The first one was easy to pick off, sliding along the ground with a yelp of shock. The second one stumbled a little, exposing its neck for Riley's next attack. The arrow soared right through it, letting the wolf slide to the ground next to its fallen comrade. "Wrong place, wrong time." She shouted loudly. She wanted to let the world know this wasn't her fault.

Eric. What he'd as the pair of werewolves foolishly tried to rush Riley. He understood their anger, having seen the other dead werewolf on the ground, but he knew that was not the way to deal with a hunter. "Yeah, that's exactly where I'd say you are!!" Eric called out to Riley he wasn't certain if she'd attack him to, though he would have to bet on it. The vampire did his best to use the trees as cover while he closed the distance, grateful that if nothing else becoming a vampire had made him rather quick. "You don't seem to learn too quickly. Don't you remember what happened last time you came out here?"

"You seem to forget that I live here." Eric wasn't thrilled to have found Riley out here hunting again. He had hoped she would have the sense to either give it up or at least leave town. "I'd worry about yourself, I haven't had a good mean in a while." To tell the truth, he wasn't quite sure what to do here. Riley needed to be stopped, but the arrow she had lasted firmly in the tree in front of him made him pause to reconsider. "It doesn't have to be like this, I don't want to kill you, and..." Eric shut his mouth there. He couldnt say she didn't want to kill him. Sure, Riley had let him slip before but that didn't mean she would do so again.

Eric moved as quickly as he could, stopping to take cover behind a tree every few seconds. He didn't really need an arrow sticking out of him, he was already having a pretty bad day. "I think you're a bit confused. I'm not human, but that doesn't make me a monster. You should put that bow down, you know you're on the wrong side of this." If he could get closer he knew he stood a chance at getting a hold of Riley before she could shoot him. That was a risky bet though.

"Yes. Yes I do." That was rather quiet coming from Eric. As he sprinted forward he realized they weren't very far apart at all. "That's why I'm telling you to stop this. It's wrong. If it wasn't you wouldn't feel like that, and you know it." Now he was close enough to shoot, but at the speed he was moving it wouldn't be an easy shot. The vampire's only hope was that he could tackle Riley before there was an arrow in him.

"That was a little close. Guess it isn't that hard to kill me." Pretty calm reaction for someone facing death, but Eric's entire way of life seemed to based around the idea of him leading a short life. Interesting way of doing things for someone who was doomed to live forever. Throwing himself at Riley, he hoped to keep her on the ground, where at least she couldn't use her bow. It wouldn't stop her from wounding or killing him with one of her blades, but these things worked in baby steps. "If you stop trying to kill me, I might not even bite you this time."

Eric didn't notice the knife until it was too late, being a bit more preoccupied with trying to get the spit off of his face. That wasn't something he had expected from Riley. He scrambled to try and get the blade away from her, though he knew it was likely pointless. "I mean it. Stab me all you like, it just means I'll need more of your blood to heal." For once in his life the vampire managed to sound serious, if not somewhat threatening. He glared down at the huntress, his red eyes seeming to glow. This fight seemed a bit more serious than their last one did to him, and he found himself getting more and more upset with each moment that passed. Not only was this because Eric was hungry, but he really didn't want to fight with Riley.

Eric growled at the thought of feeding from the wolves. Their blood was never very appetizing on its own, and he assumed it wouldn't be any better now that they were dead and cold. "If I leave you alone to feed, you're just going to get away. And you'll do this again and again until someone kills you." He took up the best fighting stance he knew how to, hoping his strength would be enough for him to beat Riley without being stabbed too much. "I don't want to hurt you, but I can't let you keep killing people. They are people, even if they don't necessarily smell like it."
