IC: Chase lifted up he man and started off toward the estate where the Pack lives. Of course he just hoped it wasn't the Pack who had done this to Mark, but what if it was. Oh well he'd figure it out. It wasn't like they needed to do anything. Being as old as the hills, really only about 400 or so give or take a few decades, he could do some level of healing. At least basic. He ignored what the dying werewolf said, but as the vampire spoke he looked at him "I guessed that by your clothing. But just try and make yourself hold out, cause I don't want to do something I'll regret," he said, more of a warning then a threat.

Eric let Chase carry Mark's full weight at first, instead choosing to dig around in his bag. It only took him a moment or so to produce a syringe, which he quickly stuck the injured wolf with. His medical experience was incredibly limited, but he was more than familiar with the process of spiking a vein. "There, that should keep him out for a bit. And it'll help the pain if he does manage to get up." It didn't seem likely that would happen, but he wanted to be safe. Werewolves, like most supernaturals, were rather resilient creatures. "If I was going to try something I wouldn't have waited this long." There was more than a fair bit of anger in his voice as he responded to Chase. It wasn't unfair to warn him, but Eric was aware of what his instincts were screaming at him to do to Mark. "I think he needs that blood a little more than I do right now." That having been said, Eric understood he was going to have to feed from someone once Mark was handled. He could only keep his true nature at bay for so long.

Eric blew a bit of smoke into Mark's face, not realizing he was waking up until he heard the werewolf speak. "I don't really know what to tell you there pal. I don't know what this place really is, and I'm with me." He growled inwardly at how stupid that last bit sounded. "Hey, if you're feeling up to talking why don't you tell me who hurt you. What were you doing in those woods?" He tried his hardest to hide his fangs while talking, but the young vampire was still starving. After all, Mark's condition meant that there had been no time for a snack break.

Mark sat up, now, quizzical. This guy knew that the thing that hit him was a who, not a what. If it had been the opposite, he'd have gone for some excuse of an animal. As it was, however, this excuse wouldn't hold. "It was the pack... they're not fond of strangers, and I fit that bill." He mumbled. It was then that Mark realized he didn't have a ready-excuse for why he was in the woods. And he didn't want to tell the truth about it. "It was, uh... I was hiking through here, they came out of nowhere." He lied roughly. Anybody would be able to see through this.
Riley, who'd been stalking her prey up until this point, nocked an arrow. She was careful not to leave any tracks, at least none that she didn't want to be left. She was setting traps around the area, ones that would do little more than cause mild pain. Inflicting damage wasn't their purpose, but rather catching and alerting her to supernaturals in the forest. Riley climbed up a tree, drawing the bowstring back. The arrow was aimed at a window of the estate. Riley released it, sending the arrow into a room with no target in particular. She was trying to stir things up.

Ashing his cigarette, Eric looked Mark over as he tried to explain what had happened to him. "If you're talking about the pack that lives here," he paused for a moment, sniffing the air before coughing in disgust at the scent of wolf. "I'd say you're in a bit of trouble then." The vampire's red eyes seemed to glow for a moment as he glared down at Mark. "Considering I just helped save you, I'd appreciate if you didn't lie to me. What were you doing out there?" It was only a moment later that Riley's arrow shattered to window. After a moment of hesitation he threw himself out of the broken window, hoping to confront whoever had thought it was a good idea to loose an arrow in his direction.

Eric considered returning to Mark, but this was an opportunity he just couldn't pass up. If he could catch up to Riley he'd finally be able to feed without having to feel too bad about the person he was taking blood from. "Not very often my dinner has the courage to attack me first." He muttered, following her scent as he tried to pinpoint exactly where she was.

At first it seemed this was going to be easy, Riley only had a bow and seemed to be all but blind in the dark. He wanted to antagonize the bow-wielding lunatic who had seemingly attacked him at random, but he knew that would give him away. Another arrow flew by, but this time it was accompanied by an explosion. Eric hesitated for a split second, before rushing towards Riley at full speed. If he could grab a hold of her before she could nock another arrow he wouldn't have to worry about her blowing up the entire forest. "You really are crazy aren't you..."

The huntress wasn't expecting Eric to rush her. She gasped as his figure came into focus, trying to draw her weapon back. It was too late, though. He'd knocked her down, causing her bow to fall on the ground. The wind was knocked out of her, but she knew what she'd have to do. She had undergone some trainings like this before, after all. She slipped her right hand down to her belt, unhooking what looked to be a simple knife. "Not that easy..." she murmured before ramming the blade, with all of her strength, into the shoulder of Eric. Even if it wouldn't pierce his skin, it could at least knock him off of her. Or so she hoped...

Eric was almost amused at how easily he had stopped Riley. Or at least that's how it seemed until there was a knife sticking out of his shoulder. He growled, giving the huntress a bit of an opening as he stood. grabbed the knife, and yanked it free. "Something leads me to believe that you might not be the best at making friends if this is how you greet new people." He spoke in his usual soft voice. Not even a moment later he lunged forward with fangs bared, hoping he was still too fast for Riley and she wouldn't be able to move her neck in time.

Unfortunately for Eric, Riley had regained enough of her composure that she knew when to roll out of the way, leaving only the earth where her neck had been seconds before. She grabbed her bow, drawing another arrow. This one was an electrical shock arrow, one with a charge that could take down a werewolf if she shot the right place. "I've researched this place at least ten times before they sent me here, why are you protecting those mutts?" She asked. Not waiting for an answer, Riley fired the arrow at Eric. To him, it would probably do little more than give him a small jolt. She drew a regular one, now, heading for a tree.

Eric recovered quickly, spitting out a bit of dirt and glaring at Riley. There was a short grunt as the arrow found its mark, and it took Eric a second or two to answer Riley's question. "You think I'm here to protect a bunch of werewolves? They've got nothing to do with me." He followed after Riley as she moved towards the tree. "It's just my bad luck that other guy came through here the same time I did, bleeding all over the place. We had to take him somewhere to patch him up, this place was closest." The vampire did his best to explain the situation while trying to grab Riley again. After all, he wasn't particularly interested in trying to protect anybody here. Mark was the pack's problem now, and Eric had only bothered to chase down Riley after she shot an arrow through the window next to him.

"It could be as long as you don't mind a few love bites." Eric dodged the arrow as quickly as he could. Having lost sight of Riley, he took a moment to yank the other arrow out of himself and snapped it while he tried to follow Riley's scent. "You seem to have forgotten I don't need to see you to follow you. And after everything you've stuck me with today I'd say you owe me a bit of blood." With that, the vampire jumped up into the trees to continue the chase. It had been a long time since he had to work so hard for a meal, but it was a nice change of pace.

"I know your kind, you'll run back into the safety of the forest the moment I reach civilization!" Riley called over her shoulder. She was making excellent progress, leaping from tree to tree at an alarming speed. If her human scent hadn't been present, one might think her to be a supernatural. She made a mistake, however, as she clambered down a tree. The town was just in sight, she was at the edge of it. But she tripped, twisting her ankle. "No, no, not now!" She muttered, trying and failing to get up. The pain was bad, informing her the injury may be a little more than just a hurt ankle. Maybe, she thought with horror, she'd broken it. Riley began crawling the stretch, trying to get out into the open.

Eric followed as best he could. This huntress was quick, and he was tired, injured, and hungry. For a while it seemed as though she might even outrun the angry vampire. "You don't know as much as you think apparently. I'm not an animal living out in the woods, that town you're running to is my home." Well, new home but he didn't need to give Riley all the details. Eric approached slowly, grabbing her by the shoulder. "You can relax, I'm not going to kill you. Though I should since you seem to be in the business of trying to kill me." With that, he lunged forward with his fangs aimed at Riley's neck.

It took all of Eric's willpower not to just finish Riley off there and then, gulping hungrily as he drank his fill from the young huntress. Pulling back, he took a moment to tie back his nearly back length hair before addressing her. "Can you stop with the theatrics please? You were right next to my head, it's a little rude." He licked his lips to clean up the last bit of blood left. "I know you just lost a fair bit of blood and that ankle probably hurts but I think you're being a little melodramatic here."

(No worries Cloudy.)
Eric ashed his cigarette, shooting Riley a confused look. "I bit you. You'll be alright, you didn't drink any of my blood so you don't have to worry about ending up like me." Then she raised her bow and readied to kill him. "Go for it, you're wounded in a town full of supernaturals. Kill me and there'll be plenty waiting for you in town." He spoke in his usual soft tone while taking a long drag. "Or you could give up and I'll take you to the hospital to get that ankle patched up."
