IC: Chase looked after them, his eyes a mix of emotions. He was surprised at how quickly the mood had changed and she was off. He kind of hoped to see her again. He felt a little bad that she was fed lies, and wanted to tell her the truth, but he would leave that up to luck to decide whether he does or doesn't see her again. For now, he wasn't going to follow them, there was no point. Instead, with a sigh, he strapped his bow to his back slowly and started to walk back to the estate himself. His business with the wolves were fairly simple. He lived there too. He was part of the pack now...mostly. Maybe he should check on Mark. Yeah he'd do that.

Riley stole one glance behind them, trying in vain to spot Chase. She continued walking, only slightly creeped out. "Do you have a family?" She asked conversationally. Not wanting to sound like the stalker she was, Riley continued quickly. "I mean, that guy said supernaturals had families, so I kind of just... wondered." It was clear conversations weren't covered in training. Sure, different languages were. She could speak German, Spanish, and Japanese somewhat well, owing to the fact hunters often left the country for their line of work. But she'd yet to master speaking to others as though they were friends.
Mark slunk out of the manor, careful to avoid any attention. He sat outside, barely a few meters away. This was the pack, all right. They'd attacked him because he trespassed and may have instigated a fight. The young werewolf could only hope they'd either let him go, or not notice. Hopefully it would be the latter.

Eric all but stopped short when she asked about his family, quickly shaking his head 'no'. "Not anymore I don't. It gets hard to stay at home with your parents and your brothers and sister whether instincts are screaming for you to kill them every time you get a little bit hungry." The family was a touchy subject with Eric, and his strange behavior and the way his eyes were glued to the ground helps make that clear. "Chase was right that a lot of supernatural have families, but I don't think I'd really want to expose anyone who isn't already like this to my life. I have an apartment to myself, and it tends to stay that way for everyone's safety."

"They don't think I'm dead, I just left home and haven't gone back." Eric rubbed the back of his neck as he thought back on his family, then sighed before continuing. "It's alright though, I was more than just a little bit of a disappointment anyway. As much as I don't like this life, I was turned in order to save my life." That was a concept Eric had struggled with for a long time. While it was easy to say being a vampire wasn't fun, being dead altogether wasn't a great alternative. "As for the Institute and that cure, I'd prefer to avoid reaching out to a group of people who make a living trying to kill me for help." He hadn't heard anything about a cure before, but it didn't seem likely that a group of hunters was looking to cure vampires. The pair was coming into town, and Eric started to look around for the street his apartment was on. After all, he was still new to the area and he had always had a terrible sense of direction. "For the time being I've found ways to deal with being this way, it's been working for me since before I even became a vampire." Eric chuckled as he explained, digging through his pockets for his keys.

"To save your life?" Riley asked. It was a good idea, biting someone to prevent their death. At least, in theory. Riley knew that being bitten came with some trauma. Trauma such as, "hey, you're immortal and will outlive all those you love!" It wasn't pretty for one's mental health. She'd paused briefly to consider this, then sped up to catch up with Eric. She hardly had time to consider how strange she'd look to anyone who looked out their window, especially if they put the pieces together she was a hunter. Riley ran ahead of Eric, turning to face him. "So nobody from your human life knows about this?" She asked, her insatiable curiosity getting the better of her. "And who did this to you? Better yet, why?"

"Yeah, I was kinda dead when it happened." Eric mumbled, knowing that was a weak explanation at best. It's not very often that someone could be 'kinda' dead. He had been wondering why Riley stopped, and was surprised again when she ran in front of him and cut him off. "No, I didn't really feel like trying to explain that I'm essentially a human leech to my friends and family. As for who turned me, it was a guy I had just met the night before. His name's Max." He explained, flicking his cigarette since they had gotten close to his apartment building. "I'd say you would like him but you're a hunter." Eric took a moment to think of how he wanted to answer the 'why part of her question. "Well, simply put I would be dead if I wasn't turned, so there wasn't much choice involved. It was turn me or let me die."

OOC: By the way just so everyone knows, the supernaturals and the hunters are completely secret to the rest of the world. Nearly everyone who isn't a hunter or a supernatural has no idea either of them even exist.
IC: Chase only took a few minutes to get to the estate again. He actually wanted to talk to that hunter more, but for two different reasons. If she pushed him much more, he thought it would be interesting to turn into his other form and show her what scary really was. Then again that would be pretty painful so maybe it was best that he didn't. The other reason was that he felt somewhat bad for her, even worried about her. He wanted to at least try and tell her the truth about the hunters.
Shaking away the thought, he looked over and saw Mark out the front of the estate. "Your awake? Shouldn't you be resting?" He asked, using his normal voice. It was still deep, but not as before, and certainly not as booming.

By the time Riley spoke, Eric was unlocking the door to the building. "Well, that's good to know I guess. I don't like to think of myself that way." It was a bit of a relief that the huntress didn't see him as a savage. "You're not exactly what I expected a hunter to be like either." Eric noticed that Riley was lagging behind a bit. "Come on, you said you were tired." He was grinning again, still seemingly unaware of how off putting the fangs probably were. "It's going to be the third door on the right."

Mark jumped at Chase's voice, completing the sign he was on edge by yelping. "I, uh, didn't know anybody was out here." He said. "I can't exactly sleep. Too much action. Yeah, action." He swallowed hard, not sure how much he'd be able to say to this dragon. What if he'd tell the pack? Then Mark would surely be dead. No, he decided, there'd be much to big a risk involved. "Just needed some fresh air." Mark said at last, definitely looking suspicious.
Riley snapped out of her thoughts, realizing she'd lagged behind. "Right." She confirmed. "Sleep would be good." She caught up with him, looking around the building. "So, you don't have anyone special? No vampire girlfriend? Not one of those wolves?" She asked, probing once more. Once they reached the door, Riley finished her interrogation with a simple question. "Is it true you don't sleep?"

Eric opened the door to his apartment, before stepping back to allow Riley in first. It was a decent enough place before Eric got there, faily large for just one person with a couch, tv, tiny kitchen and a bedroom. The walls were covered in tapestries and practically every surface was covered with empty bottles of rum and whiskey. "Nope. I don't really like hanging around other vampires, and I don't think I could ever really get over the wet dog smell that those wolves all seem to have." He flicked the lights on before answering the question about sleep. "I can sleep, although I'm not really sure if I need to. It's a habit if nothing else."

"Really couldn't tell you. I'm pretty new around here, and it's not like it's super obvious." Eric thought it over, stroking his chin. "Why do you ask? I'm not here to help you with any sort of hunting." He told her in the most stern voice he could manage, then plopped down next to her on the couch. "If you're going to sleep take the bed. Just watch out for anything sharp on the floor." The young vampire reached for a bottle, quickly downing the tiny bit that remained at the bottom.

Eric only grunted in response to her question, getting to his feet to search around the apartment for something to drink. Not all of the bottles could be empty after all. "I'm a vampire not a cultist." He called out to Riley, though he doubted she could hear him. Once he had found what he was looking for he headed back to the couch and sat down. Unlike Riley, it seemed that Eric was rather trusting. After all, he had let her into his room, which had its fair share of things he wanted to keep hidden. It just didn't cross his mind anyone might go rifling through his stuff. Similarly, Eric didn't feel any compulsion to go through the huntress' belongings while she slept. He washed down a handful of pills with a bit of rum and turned on the tv. It was unlikely he would be going anywhere for at least several hours.

Eric was still sitting on the couch, slumped over in the corner of it to be exact. The tv was playing softly, he had kept it low so as not to bother Riley while she slept. A half-empty bottle of whiskey sat open on the coffee table in front of him next to an entirely empty bottle of pills. Judging from the fact that he looked like he was barely breathing, he wasn't going to be getting in Riley's way.

IC: Chase tilted his head as he padded closer. He gave a slightly disbelieving look. "Fresh air? I think you should come back inside, at least for now. I think I also need to tell the others your here," he said. The last part was quieter then the rest, cause he was more just talking to himself when he said it.

Jaxon was in his office at the farms, quietly sitting and swiveling a small silver edged knife in his hands. Some sort of silver weapon was default for a hunter, seeing as it's a living hell for werewolves, being extremely painful. He was glad he had soundproofed his private area, because honestly even for him the screams that echo down the halls get annoying. He was rather angry, because he was supposed to get a visit, or at least a call from Riley a while ago to let him know how it was going and she hadn't. He had come to the conclusion that she wasn't going to.

Riley was rummaging through Eric's clothes, barely repressing a stressed shout. She sat down, thinking. During this time, she realized she'd forgotten something. "Jaxon." She mouthed. Then, Riley got up, she ran over to the bed, grabbing for her communication device. She turned it to the frequency she'd been given to contact Jaxon the moment she'd been sent off. Riley brushed a couple loose strands of hair from her face, holding the device to her ear. "Jaxon? It's Riley, I'm alive."
Mark paled as he heard the last words. His increased hearing wasn't always the best tool. "Please! You can't!" He begged Chase, contemplating dropping to his knees for an increased effect. "They'll kill me!" Mark wasn't a fool, he knew he'd wronged the pack. They wouldn't exactly be forgiving. At least, that's what he thought. Getting into a fight wasn't the best idea, but Mark had panicked. And now he was right outside their home.

And now he was right outside their home. Jaxon sat for a few minutes more, before h eventually got bored and stood to leave. As soon as he was on his feet though, he heard the radio come to life and Riley's voice on the other side. Rolling his eyes and mouthing 'finally', he sat back down and grabbed the radio with a tight grip, crossing his legs. "I was starting to think they got you. Why didn't you contact me sooner?" He asked, his voice angry sounding as usual. .+*_-----_*+. Chase actually flinched visibly in surprise and his eyes widened. Kill him? He knew the pack was firm and just but not harsh, at least in his experience, so what could he possibly have done to make them try to kill him? "What exactly did you do?" He asked, his voice not changing much, though his eyes narrowed a little bit in suspicion. He was a lot more careful to keep his voice down when talking to him, cause he had to remember he wasn't a hunter.

Mixed in with Eric's clothes were pictures of the various people he had cared about with names and dates written on the back, as well as things that were probably actually worth hiding. Used needles, empty packs of cigarettes, dirty knives and other questionable things were scattered around his room. It was as though Eric just took all of his stuff and threw it in his room, just leaving things wherever they landed. And that was pretty much true. As for the vampire himself, he was still knocked out on the couch.

Riley answered Jaxon almost immediately. "I got caught up in a little fight, nothing major. There's this vampire, he... tried to bite me." She left the part about being bitten out of it. "Got away, and now I'm in one of their homes. What are my orders?" She asked enthusiastically. She crept to the door, cracking it open to get a view of Eric who was asleep. Good, she thought, that was one less obstacle she'd have to deal with.
Mark looked around before speaking, which wasn't too useful seeing as there wasn't a soul nearby. "I trespassed, and did something I don't feel too proud of." He explained, pausing to recall details. He didn't have to; the image was engrained in his head. "I killed one of them, I didn't mean to, it just happened!" He looked crazy, or on the verge of it. "You can't tell them, please!"

Eric started to mutter a bit under his breath, throwing himself around the couch fitfully. He was clearly just having a nightmare, since his eyes were still closed and he didn't say or do anything about Riley talking to another hunter. If he knew what was going on he'd probably be more than a little upset with her, since he had foolishly welcomed the huntress into his home.

Not because she was nearly bitten of course, he didn't care whatsoever about that, it just meant he'd kill her, which wouldn't be hard. What he was surprised about is that she was in a house of theirs. "Wait, your in one of their houses. A supernatural?" He asked, taping the knife on his desk as he spoke. "Orders? They haven't changed, if your in one's house, kill them and bring me their heart," he commanded gruffly. (Haha now you have a decision to make Riley.XD) .+*_-----_*+. Chase's eyes widened and he tilted his head. Killed one of them? Who, wouldn't he have known? Or was this before he got here? "W-Who did you kill, and when was this?" He asked, actually stammering as he spoke it. He was quite attached to this pack, and he wouldn't stand for anyone getting hurt. He started toward Mark, his gaze not so friendly we they were before.

Riley's breath caught. She felt as though she'd been punched in the stomach. Moments passed before she said, "Yes, sir. Consider it done." She slid the device back into her belt, moving towards the bed, where she slung her bag over her back and readied her bow. Riley stalked out of the bedroom, her breaths uneven as she tried not to breathe noisily. She drew the bow back, aimed right at Eric's sleeping head. Get it over with, she told herself, It's not anyone will miss him. His family didn't even talk to him. She didn't even know him that well. Riley's hand was shaking. She tried reminding herself he was just a vampire, a sick monster that preyed on humans like herself. Riley released the arrow, which hit the wall with a thud.
Mark shuddered. "I can't remember who it was, okay? It happened too fast!" He was wringing his hands, one of countless signs he was terrified. "You can't say a word, I- I won't let you!" He threatened. Maybe, just maybe, he could fight in his wolf form despite his injury. If it would come to that, at least.

Eric slowly started to open his eyes, the sound of the arrow sticking into his wall having gotten the sleeping vampire's attention. "Hmm, morning..." He groaned rubbing his eyes as he tried to force himself to stay awake. Most people would have a much different reaction to waking up to someone standing over them with a bow, but he hadn't even really noticed the bow just yet. It was clear that he was in no condition for a fight. Eric forced himself into a sitting position before speaking again. "There's food in the fridge if you're..." The vampire trailed off, starting to notice that it was strange for Riley to be holding her bow like that. "You weren't looking for food, were you?"
