Arabella grinned. He has been a great traveling companion so far, and hopefully still be just the same as they continued on their long journey ahead. To lands that she has never been to before and never thought she would see. "You don't have to worry about being in my debt. You deserve to be free, and you just needed someone to show you that you can be. That's all I did really." She blushed a little. "I hope this will he over soon. I really do want to show you what it's like where I live." Arabella knew he would be far better off there than anywhere else really. There were servants of course. But if you have found your freedom you don't go back into servitude. That was law.

"And I thank you for that." Uriah said, looking her in the eye. He paused slightly, taking note of how pretty her eyes were. He smiled when she spoke of her land. "Is it much different then here?" He asked, not able to fathom what things looked like outside of this kingdom. Uriah was a little angry with himself for not doing this earlier. How many years of his life had he wasted being couped up as a servant?

"Yes, quite different actually. Almost in every way. The terrain is more rocky and mountainous than the forested areas around here, but were you wondering more about the country's laws and such?" Arabella would have gone on about her country but they didn't have that many hours in the day, they still needed to look around. She started to walk along the cobblestone streets again, feeling normal despite all of these people who were nothing like her from all corners of the globe

Uriah thought about what the mountains might look like. He'd heard a lot about how beautiful they were. "I guess the laws too." He said, looking over at her. The cobblestone and gravel crunched under his feet and he watched as people stepped forward, shouting out prices and saying how great their vegetables were. Both men and women hustled about the market, carrying baskets on their arms, most notably was the silk shop nearby, many people gathered around it.

Arabella was drawn to the fine silks. They were quite rare in this section of the globe. "People I guess you could say are quite disciplined. People being arrested is uncommon but when it does happen it's not a pretty sight where they spend the rest of their lives. Good thing I don't know anyone like that." She walked toward the silk stand and added in a barely audible but grim tone, "All of that lot is probably dead anyhow." The seller was a Middle Eastern man who spoke some of their language but it still needed to be practiced. She didn't have much to trade with but thought it wouldn't hurt to look around. The silks were so finely put together that you had to squint and pretty much hold it up to one's face to even see the stitching. *wow. I bet it took forever to make that* she thought

(What if the town discipliner was told to be on the lookout for Uriah and him and her found so they had to leave town?)

(Those were my thoughts too) "That sounds a lot better then what we have here." Uriah remarked. He walked through the rows of silk, marveling at them. It was rare to see silk in the market but then again it made for good selling. People of Uriah's country wanted the finest and would pay just about anything for silk. He ran his hand over a bolt and the stopped. Someone from across the store seemed to have a keen eye on Uriah and Arabella for that matter. Uriah pretended not to notice them, making his way back over to the girl silently. The man's eyes never left the pair making Uriah even more unerved "We need to leave."

Arabella's muscles tensed when Uriah said they needed to leave. *maybe he's just tired of looking at stuff with me. Well, he can wait.* she thought. But Arabella thought she should ask anyway, "Why?" She continued to look through the silks, trying to be as gentle as she can as to not accidently make a rip or unravel it in any way.

Uriah looked over his shoulder and then leaned close to her, hoping to pretend it looked like he was giving her advance. "We're being watched." He whispered in her ear and then touched some of the silk she was looking at. He couldn't imagine how the the town discipliner had got the word out about he Arabella so quickly, but it seemd he had.

Her muscles tensed and she gripped the cloth in her fist, "By who?" She would have turned to look around but didn't want to draw attention to herself. The man at the silk stand looked at the two, "Are you going to buy something or stand there?" His accent was thick but still decipherable. People around them seemed to stop talking and began moving away from the Uriah and her. *What the...* she darted her eyes left and right but didn't dare look up. She heard boots on the street. The footsteps became louder and louder until there was a shadow looming over her and Uriah.

"Why do I find two fugitives looking in a cloth shop?" A deep voice sounded behind Uriah and Arabella. Uriah squeezed his eyes shut. No! The scars on his back began to itch. He turned to the man. He stood over six foot tall and had more muscle then even the finest wrestler in the country. Uriah cringed. "I don't believe I know what you're talking about." Uriah said calmly. The man laughed. "Uriah don't play games, I've seen your face enough. But who is this?" He asked, turning to look at Arabella, a cruel gleam in his eyes.

Arabella felt he was talking about her. She didn't turn around but stood where she was, looking at her clenched fist. "I'm no one you should be concerned about." She said. *That's a lie.* Arabella spoke with a steady tone but inside she was ready to run. She told herself to run but her legs wouldn't move. Her heart began to pound in her chest to where she could hear it. This was the only time she has gotten in trouble with the authorities in any country. "We were just leaving." She wanted to add onto that but decided she would just be beaten for it. But she would be beaten for this anyhow, and so would Uriah...

"I find that quite hard to believe since you and this servant are both wanted for assault on a man and Uriah is wanted as a runaway slave." The discipliner smiled cruelly. "Foreigners like you can't be trusted in this area, you're not going anywhere I'm afraid." The man said, he stroked the length of a whip he held in his hand. Uriah tensed and slowly looked around. He could see a pair of horses tied to a hitching post and hoped Arabella could see them too. If they could get to them somehow, they could get out of this market in no time. Uriah looked at the burley man, he didn't like the way he looked at Arabella.

Arabella nodded at Uriah, ever so slightly to let him know she saw the horses too. This was their chance, "Actually..." she paused for effect, "yes we are." She grabbed Uriah by the hand and began sprinting over to where she saw the horses. Now that she was already in trouble, what's the harm in getting into more? Arabella practically leaped onto the saddle, hardly touching anything else. She kicked her heel inbetween the horse's thighs and stomach to motion it to run. Which it did. The brown stallion ran almost too fast for Arabella's taste, but it didn't matter. They needed to leave.

Uriah stumbled after Arabella, launching easily onto a black stallion. Being a stable hand meant he had been around horses all his life. Uriah took the rains and kicked his horse forward after Arabella. A whooshing sound tore by Uriah's ear and he saw something land in the dirt. An archer was near by. He ducked low over his horses neck. "Look out!" He called to Arabella as another arrow flew by. There was also shouting as the discipliner attempted to sable up and chase after the fugitives.

Arabella felt the wind from an arrow pass by her face. She would have screamed but didn't want to give their pursuers the joy of her being frightened. At the rate they were going she can see the exit to the town. *Almost there...* she watched as the gates began to close little by little *Almost there!* she and her horse were able to duck far enough to make it out. Hopefully Uriah could too.

(Did 21 die?)
Uriah ran in pursuit of Arabella. His heart jumped into his throat when he heard the creaking of the gates and it rattling closed. Arabella ducked under first. Uriah moved to the side of his horse, jumping down and holding the saddle horn just as they went other. He then used his feet to spring back onto the stallion's back. It was a move he had never tried before and he was grateful for not being trampled. The was a loud bang as the gate locked in place and an angry scream. Uriah slowed his horse down, glancing back.

(I guess so. I was wondering about that too)
Arabella didn't start slowing down until she knew the town wasn't in sight anymore, and that they were far enough into the woods to not be seen by the guards. She stopped her horse and stepped off of it, "That was too close. I thought I was dead that time." Her heart was still racing, even though she wasn't the one running. She turned back to make sure Uriah was okay. "Are you good? Any scratches or anything?" She asked. Arabella still felt an odd swaying motion even as she was standing firmly on the ground. That skirmish was the only one she has ever had with the authorities. Arabella would have liked to tell that town discipliner what really happened, but decided against it at the last moment. And a good thing it was too.

(Such a shame *plays funeral music.* Brom is all alone now XD)
Uriah slid off his horse slowly. He thought he might have a bruise somewhere on his midsection from hitting the saddle horn on the jump back up. "No, just had a miniature heart attack." He said, slightly out of breath. The stallion he was holding was breathing pretty heavily and Uriah looked for water nearby. "Its a good thing we got out of there when we did." Uriah said, turning away so that she couldn't really see the anger flash on his face. He hated the discipliner and he feared for Arabella around the man. He had a unhealthy hunger in his eyes for the girl.(Eww gross XD)

(Vomits )"Well at least we survived. I didn't get much done but living is more important isn't it?" She started leading the horse and motioned for Uriah to follow. Hopefully there was water nearby. "Can you agree that I didn't assault that man? Technically I have authority. I do have to handle citizens in my country sometimes. But I just gave him a warning! A very threatening warning, but a warning all the same!" Arabella would like to think of herself as innocent and just by going off of morals, yes she was, but by law? Not so much.

Uriah walked the stallion, keeping a close eyes on his movements. He paused to loosen the saddle and the horse gave a sigh. "They don't really care if did or didn't. You're a foreigner which immediately puts you up for a criminal, no matter what you did. You could help someone pick grain and if they even hinted that you stole some, it would be off to the stocks with you." Uriah sighed. "I think the war is making them very tense and any time the discipliner can get his hands on someone he will. He likes to hear people scream." Uriah told her, having a small flashback. Finally he spotted some water and led the horse down to drink it.

"Well hopefully the next time we come across him he'll be the one screaming! He's a real creep..." Arabella shivered even though it wasn't cold outside, and it was still only a little passed noon. The silence of the woods was uncomfortable. She would rather have things going on around her rather than silence. And she turned around at every noise, thinking it was the mob of villagers coming after them. "In case we do get caught, I just want to say I'm sorry in advance." Arabella felt an impending doom on them. Almost like they can run as much as they want but at the end, death was unavoidable.

Uriah listened to her as he washed the grim off of his arms while his horse drank. The water was clear enough for him to drink too, but he would wait until the stallion was finished. He liked the woods, they had always provided a method of escape for him, until he had no choice but to return to the palace. The solitude had made him happy once, but that was because he had no one else, now he had Arabella and right now that was enough for him. He stiffened when she apologized. "Why?" He asked, standing up and looking over his horse.

"I just don't think we'll make it. That's all. If we do, it's a miracle by God that we did." Arabella sat at the roots of a tree with her boots almost touching the surface of the water. She didn't look at Uriah, but instead at the water. Her reflection was impossible to see while the horses drank amd caused ripples to form. She tucked her hair behind her ear again. "Even if they don't catch us, look at the state we're in. No food, no water, and money is useless at the moment as guards are probably spreading the word about us. The only thing we have is me, you, and two horses. That we stole. Might I add." She crossed her arms across her chest but not in anger.

Uriah looked at Arabella. "You know this whole time you've always been so positive and now." He gave her a look, but it wasn't rude, more of a tease. "Guess it's my turn." He bent down and picked up a mushroom. "You see this? They grow everywhere around here and they're quite edible." He bent down at the water stream. "We have clean water and two horses, even if they are stolen." He walked over to here and kneeled down, slowing sitting down beside her. "Sure we're at a disadvantage here, but that doesn't make it impossible. And I'm not going back, not unless they are dragging my dead body." Uriah said with grim determination. He was done with his old life and everything in it. He was free even if he was a fugitive. He looked at Arabella with a soft smile. He hadn't added that he also had her now.

"Okay, okay, you win. I hope you know the flora around here, I don't want to die over something dumb like eating the wrong plant." She joked a little but still meant it. At least the horses didn't run off into the woods or back to the town, they would need them if Arabella and Uriah were going to survive out here...somehow. She uncrossed her arms and took out her sword. She held it with one hand on the blade and one hand on the hilt. "If there weren't people around I would have loved to drive this blade right through that guy's head." She said with a grim tone. She wanted revenge but wasn't dumb enough to go back into town and loom for it. That would be suicidal.

"He's pretty strong despite the brute that he is. I wouldn't want to fight him" Uriah said, he picked up a stick off the ground and scratched the ground with it. He looked over at her. "So what happens after you pass this test or whatever you called it?" Uriah asked Arabella, curious to what she would do after this. He imagined whatever it was she would be good at. It seemed Arabella was just about good enough for anything she was put up to, unlike himself.

"Oh well uh..." she wasn't sure what to say. Yes she would be honored by her country but job wise? *Think of something!* Arabella told herself, "I would be brought up a rank, maybe two depending if I went above and beyond what I was supposed to." Yeah, that'll work. After the king gets what he wants, he said that Arabella can have what she desired. To make it a truth, that is what she will desire after she completes what she set out to do. *Yes...that would work.* she sheathed her sword again and took it off of her belt. It was quite a burden to wear while sitting down. "What about you? After all of this, what do you want to do?"

Uriah leaned back against the tree and took a deep breath. "I don't really know. I've never been able to think about my future. I've just thought I would be a servant all my life and nothing more. Live in the palace and die in the palace." He glanced over at Arabella, hoping she didn't think he sounded nonsensical. "Maybe I'll hang around your land for a little while. I'm tired of being in a country that is at war. It's all I've seen. I want to go places and make up for lost time." He looked at Arabella again. "I bet I sound ridiculous don't I?"

Arabella looked at him, making sure he was paying attention, "No, it's not ridiculous. It makes sense, I almost feel greedy now that I met you. I seem to want more and more, like it's never enough. But you..." she blinked slowly and gazed into his eyes, "you just want to be free." Arabella felt a semse of calm talking to him, she felt guilty but less so when talking to Uriah. He was so easy to talk to. She felt she could say anything to him, but if he found out the truth of why she was here, Uriah wouldn't want to talk to her then. He wanted to leave a country that was still in war, and now she was bringing more to it.
