i really love how you have written him out, so no worries !! :3 seems like hes just opening up! I adore him! And love the thing between him and bubble so farr :D BUBBLEWHISKER - - โ
with shellstreak [ at ] the salty marshes | Briarspirit Bubblewhisker's tail waved happily when she noticed the tom slowly starting to open up to her. She enjoyed company and getting through to others. It was always a joy when somecat who she normally didn't socialize with outside of patrols and the occasional chat during the hour of sharing tongues. She bounced over the tree roots and laid her fresh catch on the twisted and entwined wood before shaking herself out. She jumped down and bounded up to Shellstreak's side, nudging his shoulder with her head, a soft purr rumbling in the silver mollies throat. The tom was right, though. Oceanclan cats all had their own prey preferences, and it was obviously very rare that another would like frog.
Truthfully, Bubblewhisker hadn't liked frog for many of her young years. It wasn't until she was an older apprentice that she truly tasted and enjoyed them. Seastar, at the time he was called Seapaw, had dared her and her sister, Wavepaw, to hunt and eat a frog once the rainy season had started. Bubblewhisker- Bubblepaw at the time- had never been one to back down from a dare, so it was easy to accept and pass the challenge with ease.
The silver tabby shook herself out, ignoring the memories that were seemingly rushing back. Seastar hadn't been like himself in moons. Since he lost his fifth life, her mate had been slouching and gloomily laying in his den, only speaking when she asked him to. He was quiet, and rarely came out of his den nowadays. Starclan, he didn't even do ceremonies properly anymore. Of course Bubblewhisker didn't know what it was like for the large white tom. He lost a life, and it wasn't something she would ever experience. But she'd be lying if it didn't draw her away, wanting to seek a new excitement in her life. Something the leader wasn't giving her anymore since her first litter of kits had been born.
With a huff, Bubblewhisker looked confidently at Shellstreak and flicked her tail. "Agreed! Then lets find some new spots to explore, and hunt for some new frogs!" She decided, turning and looking around. Eventually she found a lillypad and a tangled portion of roots sticking out of the muddy marsh. She pointed over to it with a curious flick of her tail. "How about there? Maybe theres some frogs that might be hiding in the roots?" The molly suggested, blue eyes glittering curiously towards Shellstreak as she waited, wanting him to have the final say in the spot they chose.

hihi!! :3 theyre yours !!
ooo reef and marsh being involved in some way would be cool!! i do have plans for marsh to be mates with tidefeather at some point but youโre more than welcome to have her be a partner in crime kinda thing- maybe it can be marsh, reef and eel? Since eel is currently marshโs best friend as well :3 i think itโd be really interesting for there to be more cats involved in marshโs plans !!
That OR they couldโve had a fling that resulted in a litter, but it was hush hush and they decided to stay friends instead (or we could do both, meaning they tried but it didnโt work so they became partners in crime with eel??)

Toadkit --> The Rest of the Alder Gang
"Nuh...whuh...?" Toadkit grunted sleeply as his sister nudged him. He couldn't quite figure out what she was explaining to him just yet, the warmth of the nest muffling his thoughts like the soft moss around him.
How fleeting that was.
Pushed into the cold and cruel world of the nursery, the brown tom opened his pale amber eyes and blinked at Sweetkit blearily, before he finally got with the program.
"Yeah, 'monit." Toadkit replied, giving his thick coat a quick shake before he settled into the hunter's crouch he'd been working so hard on lately. Brineshadow had been giving him pointers, and the little brown kit thought he had the makings of a real warrior.
Without further discussion, he slunk over to the hole his sister pointed out, meeting Puffinkit on the other side.

Wavepaw -- > Tidefeather Wavepaw was bored to a level almost akin to torture.
She'd visited the elders for the afternoon, pestered Marshclaw about being on a patrol, and then asked Brineshade about his favorite battle technique.
This wouldn't be happening if my mentor wasn't un-
The young she cat saw her mentor leave the nursery and almost approached her. But then she thought better of it. Her kits were still just babies, only four moons. She probably wasn't ready for any degree of training yet.
That makes one of us...
Instead, Wavepaw caught sight of Tidefeather and made her way to the warrior. "Tidefeather! Good morning!"

Gullspeckle camp โ accompanied by: Breezepaw, Firepaw & Palmbreeze he/him - warrior Gullspeckle found that being Breezepaw's mentor was a challenge, but he didn't mind it. Initially, he thought he would fail the young tom though it seemed like things were looking up. Although the grey speckled tom wasn't always confident in himself, he knew he would figure it out. Sooner than later would be better.
As he awaited an answer from Breezepaw, Gullspeckle couldn't help but glance over at Palmbreeze and Firepaw. So far, the two toms had yet to interrupt them. Maybe they understood that he and Breezepaw wanted some privacy for a bit. Yet he wasn't completely convinced thanks to his thoughts about Palmbreeze.
The grey speckled tabby heard the black tom take a deep breath which drew his attention to Breezepaw. His green eyes were wide as saucers while he waited patiently for the apprentice to finish speaking. Maybe? A 'maybe' is better than a no! Gullspeckle thought, staring at Breezepaw in shock. Once their gazes met, the warrior's jaw was dropping. "Did... Did you just say you'll try?" he meowed delightly in a quiet tone as he tried to contain his excitement. "I'm already so proud of you, Breezepaw. Let's go show Firepaw and Palmbreeze what we're made of!"
Gullspeckle waved his spotted tail at Breezepaw before hurrying over to Palmbreeze and Firepaw. The tom wore a confident grin on his face, determined that he and Breezepaw would show the other mentor-apprentice duo what they were made of. "Let's do battle training first," he announced as he stood tall. "We're ready to go. Are you two?"

Reefsong pushed past the bramble entrance of the warriors den, the bright sun instantly warming her ginger fur as she stepped further into the camp clearing. Her soft amber gaze searched for one cat in particular, having half a mind to cuff his ears for assigning her to dusk patrol the other night. Marshclaw wasn't hard to spot, and she wasn't surprised to see Eelstrike already by his side. While she wasn't particularly overjoyed to deal with the black-furred tom so soon after waking up, she was eager to see what her two friends were up to.
Quickening her pace, the ginger molly quickly caught up to the pair and forced herself between them, making sure to bump Eelstrike aside with her shoulder. "What are you two saltwater for brains talking about?" Reefsong interrupted as Marshclaw stood and looked to be headed towards the camp entrance, which the she-cat was quick to follow. "A walk, huh? I hope you're not planning on leaving without me." She said as she trotted along to keep pace, keen on finding out what Marshclaw was plotting. Of course she knew about his plan to coup Seastar, they'd been close friends since kithood, thick as thieves as apprentices, and even engaged in a brief affair as young warriors. There is nothing more important to her than her kinship with Marshclaw. Eelstrike was more like a thorn in her side, but one she would miss if he were to fully be removed from her life. Not that she would ever confess to the black tom himself that she held an ounce of affection towards him. However, she could recognize the importance of his more practical side. Without Eelstrike, things would have fallen apart long ago. Not to mention that she enjoyed getting a rise out of him as she was sure he enjoyed getting a rise out of her. That was just a bonus to their polarizing friendship.
"You coming or what, Eelstrike?" Reefsong asked once she'd caught up the the dark-furred deputy, now looking over her shoulder at their other friend with a sly smile.

โโโโ-ใ๐ผใโโโโ- Clamwhisper with Splashwing camp @ Sand Clamwhisper was your average Oceanclan warrior. He went on patrols he was assigned to without complaint, hunted as well as he could, and helped with tasks around the camp. One thing he did stuggle with, however, was being social. The tom preferred to stick to himself most of the time. Not because he hated striking up a conversation, or was difficult to get along with, but because he struggled with putting himself out there and opening up to others. Some cats could do it so easily, but he found it more difficult than climbing up the sand dunes on a particularly windy day. It could have something to do with the way he was teased as an apprentice, it just became easier to keep his mouth shut. That's why he was so grateful for Splashwing. There was no unnecessary exchange of pleasantries with the white and black speckled tom. They could sit in silence just enjoying each other's company, and that was enough for Clamwhisper.
Clamwhisper had made sure to check with the elders and queens that they had eaten before he padded over to the fresh-kill pile, making sure to pick out a nicely plump squirrel for himself, and is quick to snatch a rabbit that was towards the top of the pile. He goes to his usual corner of the camp near the warriors den and sits patiently, keeping an eye out for his buddy that he knows will join him for lunch soon. โโโโ-ใ๐ผใโโโโ- Pearlskimmer looking for Nightingalefrost outskirts of salty marshes @ ๐โ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ Pearlskimmer wouldn't say that she snuck out of camp, just that she left without telling anyone where she was going. In her defense, no one stopped her or asked where she was headed either. So what if she ended up missing out on a patrol or two, it wouldn't be a huge deal. At the most she would probably get scolded by Marshclaw, which wouldn't be fun ,but there wasn't much else he could do. Last she checked the deputy didn't have the power to banish anyone from the clan, and there was no way Seastar would be paying enough attention to punish her. The old bag hardly left his den most days.
Currently, the torbie warrior stood where the tall grass tickled just beneath her chin, amber eyes focused on any movement in the clearing ahead of her. Her paws were caked in mud, and her wet underbelly fur stuck to her skin in a way that she knew would eventually feel uncomfortable the warmer the day got. It wasn't prey that Pearlskimmer was keeping her eyes and ears out for, but a particular cat. No one had heard from Nightingalefrost in nearly a moon. Sure he'd left the clan, but he would always pop up every now and again. With so much time having gone by since his last sighting, she was anxious to make sure her brother was okay. Pearlskimmer did feel slightly guilty not having told her other siblings that she was going out to look for their brother, but someone in the clan would definitely notice if all five of them had slipped away for the afternoon.
The thin molly skillfully stalked through the marshes, trying to keep her heartbeat calm the closer she got to Oceanclan's eastern border, hoping she wouldn't need to venture far from it. Pausing her movements to take another look around, Pearlskimmer took in a deep breath before loudly and clearly calling out a name.
"Nightingalefrost!"

Waterripple with alderberry Sand
Waterripple lit up when she saw how happy her sister was to see her. Unable to control the purrs that rippled through her body at the affection. Or the pang of guilt that clawed at her belly. She should have been coming to visit her sister more. But she allowed her annoyance with the kits to keep her away. Alderberry was probably lonely, trapped in the nursery all day, restrained from her family. And Palmbreeze. The dilute molly refrained from making a face at the thought of the tom.
"What? Those fish-faces?" She exclaimed with an exasperated snort at the mention of Marshclaw and Eelstrike. "I'd rather eat sand. Marshclaw's been sending me on patrols back to back. One more, and I'm sure my claws will fall off." But she wasn't patrolling now. She had her sister to herself for the next hour or so. She would take advantage while she could. "Come on, let's go by the shore. Littlebee has it covered." Waterripple mewed with a nod toward the swollen queen. She was sure to burst any day now, by the looks. The molly tried to imagine herself pregnant with kits and shuddered at the thought. Only the strongest of she-cats endured such a task. And Waterripple wasn't sure she was one of those mollies.
"How's Palmbreeze." She queried as they walked, her expression casual. Though her feelings were indelicate regarding the tom.
Before Eelstrike could react or respond, a scent he loathed blew to him in the breeze. And before he knew it, a ginger shape bumped into him, instinctively causing his lips to curl into a snarl. Reefsong. The unfortunate third piece to their puzzle. As apprentices, the black tom could put it lightly that he despised the ginger molly. She was always around, always mooning and showing off to a then Marshpaw. Her presence was nauseating. But it was something he'd just had to grow to tolerate as the two began to spend even more time after receiving warrior names, soon welcoming kits. Eelstrike snorted when Reefsong refused to disclose who fathered the kits. He was around during their greenleaf romance; it had been quite evident to him who fathered the litter of five. But no matter, it wasn't his place nor character to gossip.
He glared after the she-cat as she shot a sly grin over her shoulder, rising to his paws and following at a slower pace. Despite his dislike for Reefsong, he held some endearment towards the molly. She was loyal to Marshclaw, and they could always trust her. No matter how much a pain she was. Marshclaw was the head, he was the brains, and Reefsong was the passion.
"Oh, our princess has finally awakened. Did you get all your beauty rest?" He mocked, swiping a paw at Reefsong as he passed her, taking Marshclaw's right side. A formation he'd grown used to over the years whether Reefsong accompanied or not.

Splashwing camp โ accompanied by: Clamwhisper he/him - warrior As a senior warrior of OceanClan, Splashwing felt like he was an elder among the other warriors. Ever since the younger cats were starting families, it made him feel self conscious about his age. Still, it was nice to see kits stumbling around the nursery all day. After he'd finish his meal, he usually poked his head into the nursery. He wasn't too close with any of the queens or their kits, but the thought of having a family was an odd one. The white and black tom liked seeing the joyful looks on the kits' faces to brighten his day.
Splashwing was going to follow his usual routine, one which included Clamwhisper, his best friend. He usually ate with the fellow warrior once the elders, queens, and kits were fed. He enjoyed having Clamwhisper around as it made him feel less old and lonely. Although they didn't chat up a storm every day, Splashwing was simply glad to have a friend like the brown and white tabby.
As he entered camp from the dirtplace, the senior warrior noticed Clamwhisper in his usual spot by the warriors' den. It was clear he had already picked out two piece of prey for the both of them. With a grin, Splashwing trotted in the tabby's direction. "Clamwhisper! How ya doing?" he called out.

Alderberry leaving camp โ accompanied by: Waterripple she/her - queen Alderberry felt a surge of happiness with Waterripple by her side. She was glad she had ran into her sister, who seemed to always make her feel better. Being cooped up in the nursery was getting to her among other things, but she really didn't want to dive into that right now. Even if she really needed to speak to Palmbreeze, he avoided her like she was a shark in the water. Somehow and some way, she was going to get his attention, but not for now. She had Waterripple's undivided attention, who surely seemed more excited to see her compared to her mate.
The dilute calico let out a mrrow of amusement when Waterripple spoke about Eelstrike and Marshclaw. She was right, but Alderberry was a bit afraid to share her full opinion. It wasn't that she disliked the two toms, she just felt... unsafe around them. "That's ridiculous! You've got to tell Seastar. Let me take some of your patrols. It would do me some good," she meowed insistently. She wasn't sure if Waterripple could get the old leader to do anything about Marshclaw, but Alderberry wanted her to try. "Alright, alright! Let's go."
Before they left camp, the queen glanced back towards the nursery. Surely Littlebee could watch her small litter of four. They weren't troublesome and Alderberry didn't dare doubt the expecting queen's kit sitting skills. She hurried after her littermate and began to pad alongside her. "Oh, him? You mean the tom who got me pregnant and has been ignoring us ever since?" the dilute calico growled, her amber eyes narrowing at the thought of Palmbreeze. She then let out a dramatic sigh. "I don't know, Waterripple. I have been waiting to talk to him, but each time I see him or he sees me... he flees. Is there anything I can do to make him listen?"
Alderberry pondered if Palmbreeze's behavior towards her and the kits was normal. Did all fathers up and leave their mate like he did? Brineshade never did that to Breezekit's mother, but then again, the situation was different. Brineshade's mate had died and he was left to raise his only son alone. In Alderberry and Palmbreeze's case, she had a litter of four kittens who had a living father. Her kits didn't even know their father yet which made her feel guilty. No matter what, she needed to find a solution. Alderberry didn't want to tie Waterripple up in her own drama, let alone force her to visit her in the nursery. "Enough about my troubles. How have you been?" the queen asked, glancing at her sister.

HONEYPAW - -
Honeypaw grinned when Saltfrost took off, bunching her paws underneath her and leaping forward after them. She'd always been fast, faster than most of the other apprentices, so she knew she'd keep up with ease - so long as she didn't trip too much on the route there.
Claws digging into the soft earth beneath her, Honeypaw couldn't help but enjoy the scent of the ocean as she ran, feeling the salty air rush through her fur. She loved the ocean. Scared of it as she was, it was beautiful, and powerful, and everything she hoped to grow to be. She fell asleep nightly to the sounds of waves crashing on the shore, and woke up every morning to the calls of seagulls.
When Saltfrost came into view, Honeypaw dug her paws into the ground so she would skid to a halt just in front of them. She listened to them speak as she quietly caught her breath from the sprint. She got to pick the training for a half-moon? That was awesome!
"Okay! I'm gonna start with just getting used to the water for a couple of minutes, so that I don't panic. This will probably be slow-going, so just uh... bear with me, yeah? I'll try not to make it an all day thing," she joked. Stepping away from Saltfrost and towards the water, Honeypaw took long and slow breaths as she padded into the wet area of the shoreline. She stopped and allowed the water to wash over her paws for a few moments, feeling the water wash over her paws in soft pushes and pulls, and thought about the seagulls to calm her mind and her heart rate.

BUMBLEPAW - -
Bumblepaw nodded along as Puddleheart spoke, easily keeping pace with the older tom as they walked. He tried to recall the uses for the herbs in his head but was stumped when he came to willow leaves and burnet.
"Can you remind me of the uses for willow leaves and burnet? I'm trying to remember them, I know I've heard those once or twice but I can't quite get it," he meowed inquisitively. Puddleheart's rhyme caught him off guard - not that he didn't recognize it, more so that he wasn't expecting to hear it - and caused him to stumble over his paws for a second.
Which, as luck would have it, ended in him tripping entirely and falling into a bush that was positively crawling with thorns. Of course this would happen to him - he just had to think about the fact that surely nothing could happen to them, didn't he? Meowing in pain, Bumblepaw set to work freeing himself from the thorns, hissing quietly as they scraped and scratched at his shoulders and flanks.
Puddleheart was surely not going to let him forget this, and if Puddleheart told Drifttumble, he was never going to hear the end of it. The two toms were very close friends - If I didn't know better, I'd think they were mates - and Puddleheart told Drifttumble just about everything, which meant the gray tabby tom knew every humorous mistake Bumblepaw made.

DRIFTTUMBLE - -
Drifttumble barked a laugh as she warned him about the water, giving her yet another crooked grin. Pushing his weight back onto his haunches, he launched himself into the air over her, coming down into the water just behind her and sending a wave crashing over her. Rising back up to his full height, he turned and smirked mischievously.
"Perks of having long and thick fur, I can stand the cold water better than most," he boasted, feeling the cold water soak his legs as he continued to stand in the water. "I hope you're ready to eat your words, because I'm going to catch a fish before you can even find one!"
Drifttumble turned and flicked his tail tip as he watched the water quietly. He could see the small flashes of scales as they darted around, though none quite close enough for him to grab just yet. In the back of his mind he knew Mantasplash was likely to beat him. He was a great fisher, sure, but Mantasplash had been doing it for a bit now, evident by the pile of fish behind her, and he was sure she'd found a good rhythm for it. He just needed to find his own rhythm before she had a chance to snatch a fish out of the water.
Drifttumble was probably just as competitive as Mantasplash was.

TIDEFEATHER - -
Tidefeather jolted a bit as Wavepaw spoke, not having expected anyone to speak to her as she watched her clanmates move about. She knew the apprentice was likely itching for some continuation of her training, as Alderberry had had her kits just four moons ago. Tidefeather wasn't opposed to training with Wavepaw despite her recollection of the apprentice being a bit, intense, for lack of a better word.
"Good morning, Wavepaw. How is your day going? Were you able to convince anyone to train with you today, in light of Alderberry's, er, condition?" She hesitated a bit on the question. Tidefeather wasn't sure just how Wavepaw felt about her training being disrupted, and as her mentor hadn't yet been reassigned, she could only assume there were some gaps in what the other warriors had covered. She briefly wondered if she should speak with Marshclaw or Seastar about taking over the apprentice's training herself.
Her mentor should have been reassigned as soon as Alderberry was unable to continue her training. It's quite unusual that she has been left out to dry like this. Is Seastar hoping to teach her something with this experience? He better be, or I might just have to have a talk with him about his lack of attention, especially with this being his own daughter!

Rainpetal Rainpetal flicked her tail in response, bending her ears back as she padded out of camp. Conchsong's observation wasn't entirely wrong, though Rainpetal could hardly admit that. Cloudyfur was her friend, and Rainpetal had already made a mess of things in a past relationship. She didn't want history to repeat itself with Cloudyfur.
So, in the meantime, it was best to play dumb and act as if she hadn't a clue what Conchsong could've possibly meant. "Who told you that?" Rainpetal asked and let out a light purr of bemusement. "Was it Coconutfur or Reefsong?" Rainpetal rolled her eyes. "Those two have their ears stuffed with cotton, you can't believe half of what they say."
Rainpetal decided to casually not mention that Cloudyfur was arguably just as bas as the other two were when it came to gossip. Now, Rainpetal was no stranger to gossip, which was exactly what she was trying to get out of Conchsong here, so she might be a bit of a hypocrite saying this, but she just didn't entirely fit with the rest of Cloudyfur's friends.
Rainpetal blamed Brineshade for that. Her old mentor was one of those "respectable" types, and apparently just enough had rubbed off on Rainpetal.
Clearing her throat, Rainpetal focused on other matters as she padded into the forest."I haven't heard anything new either. Not since Nightingalefrost left the clan a moon or so ago. Now all I hear is how Littlebee's kits are due any day, Seastar won't give his own kits their warrior ceremony, and Drifttumble tried to gain the affections of yet another clanmate," she recited easily. None of this was new or exciting really, just the same old stuff one came to expect from the clan.
Personally, Rainpetal couldn't wait for a change.

Breezepaw
Breezepaw padded behind Gullspeckle as they returned to the rest of the group. He didn't say anything at first, unsure of how he should even respond. Honestly, it was a little embarrassing to have needed a minute with Gullspeckle when they ended up agreeing to battle training in the end anyway.
Still, maybe Breezepaw was overreacting, maybe the others didn't find it nearly as weird as he did.
Trying to keep his spirits up, Breezepaw glanced from Gullspeckle to Palmbreeze and Firepaw, bobbing his head in agreement with Gullspeckle. "It'll be..." he trailed off, pawing at the ground a little. "It'll be a good chance to get better at some of the moves I've been learning recently." He flicked his tail, looking at the two warriors. "Where are we going to train?"

'Almost there...' Nightingalefrost lowered his body to the marsh floor, ignoring the way water lapped at the fur of his belly. His ears were bent back and tail alert as he crept ever so closer to the unsuspecting vole. When he had first left the clan, he had expected it to be easier with just himself to watch over.
Unfortunately, that had proven not to be the case, and after missing his last meal, Nightingalefrost was determined not to let this one get away.
He moved his shoulders, preparing to strike, when all of a sudden, a loud--familiar voice called out across the marshes and the vole quickly darted away.
Nightingalefrost hissed a curse under his breath and darted after it, however, it was too late, the vole had took its chance and left. Nightingalefrost huffed in irritation, flicking his tail behind him as his stomach turned with hunger.
Part of him wanted to ignore the voice calling for him as payment for making him miss his lunch. However, another part of Nightingalefrost knew he could never do that to his sister.
Sighing, Nightingalefrost straightened his back and started to the voice, keeping to the shadows, his feet padding silently against the ground until finally, Pearlskimmer came into sight. Nightingalefrost stayed where he was, mindfully aware of clan borders.
This was his fault, really, for hunting so close to his old home. It was just...easier when he knew the general area.
"Pearlskimmer," Nightingalefrost greeted, his voice low and quiet as he kept to the shadows. "You shouldn't have come."

Puddleheart "Willow leaves and burnet?" Puddleheart parroted, happily walking through one of the paths in the forest he was more familiar with. "Of course! Actually, I'm glad you asked, these two are some of my better rhymes," he decided with a quick nod of his head, not looking back at his apprentice as he walked along the forest floor.
Puddleheart cleared his throat and began to recite the rhymes. "Willow leaves, soft and pale, here to help when you feel ill, chew into a pulp and swallow hole; preventing vomiting is the goal," he recited, a light skip to his step. "You know, one time, as an apprentice, Nightingalefrost asked me for something to prevent nausea, he used to always act so tough, but I still knew when he didn't feel well, even when he was too proud to admit it," Puddleheart said, happily rambling as he continued down the path.
Alright, and then for burnet, the rhyme goes 'burnet of spikes and purple flowers, help give us strength for all the hours. In sunny places it sits, Queens use it for healthy kits!" Puddleheart purred as he finished the rhyme. There was just something so pleasing about finishing the rhymes, it scratched his brain...but im a good way.
"I wanted to get some burnet since Littlebee is due any day now, and I think it would be a good idea for her to take some burnet before the kitting. Then we can give any extra to Alderberry's litter, since they're old enough to eat food now..." Puddleheart trailed off, only then realizing Bumblepaw wasn't directly behind him.
Frowning, Puddleheart turned around. "Bumblepaw?" He called and froze as he spotted his apprentice trapped in a bush full of thorns. "Bumblepaw!" He squeaked out anxiously and bounded forward. "Oh dear, what happened? Let's get you out of here," he said, looking for a place in the bush without too many thorns to start.

SWEETKIT - - โ
Sweetkit nodded firmly as Toadkit eventually woke and slipped out of the entrance they had made a few days ago from play fighting. She watched his tail tip disappear before glancing back to the flamepoint queen and her sister. The two were holding a conversation which was ultimately a good distraction. The little tortie made her way out of the den with ease, the same way she had watched her sister and brother disappear through. She shook herself out as she eventually joined Puffinkit and Toadkit, flicking a leaf off her paw. Amber eyes glanced over her shoulder, back at the nursery.
"Unfortunately, I think Lilykit might be stuck. Littlebee is really chattin' up a storm with her, n' I think we'll have to take off without her." Sweetkit announced, head help high. She grinned widely and leapt forward, taking charge of the mission the trio now had of sneaking out of camp. Maybe they could go down to the ocean- the big body of water she had listened to Honeypaw talk about. The apprentice had made it sound so insane and amazing, Sweetkit just wanted to see it with her own eyes.
Sweetkit slipped up against the barrier that covered the camp, keeping the cats safe from the predators the lurked, before shimmying her way under the thicket with an 'oof'. Eventually, she jumped up on the other side, turning and looking towards the thicket against. She was finally out of camp, and her adrenaline was running wild, ears roaring and noise flooded with all the crisp scents of the outside. "C'mon, guys, it's so cool out here!" She whisper-yelled. She wanted Puffinkit and Toadkit to experience the outside with her, and like, now.
Ocean, here we come!

FIREPAW - - โ
The fire colored and white tabby tom sat patiently as he waited for his mentor, Gullspeckle and Breezepaw to announce they were all ready to go. He knew well of the anxious feelings the fluffy black void of a cat tended to have, so Firepaw took no offense by the reaction and hesitation. If anything, he calmly thought of the possibilities of what the outcome could be. Surely no other cat really knew of his own lack in confidence regarding fighting, so he was confident that neither he, nor Breezepaw would end up looking silly. At least, that's what the young apprentice thought. His green gaze watched as his sister raced out of camp with her mentor, before his attention shifted to a small pebble in front of his paws.
Firepaw slowly rolled the crumbling pebble under paw, ears twitching and swiveling when the approaching paw steps took his attention again. Breezepaw and Gullspeckle seemed to have settled on a decision, one that had the apprentice jumping up to his paws, green eyes bright. Despite his typical shy demeanor, the three cats he was around had really helped him come out of his shell, and Firepaw was extremely grateful for it. With his tail waving in the air, a loud purr erupted in the fiery toms throat.
The ginger and white tabby moved forward to bump his head into Breezepaw's shoulder affectionately. "Really happy to hear you wanna do more than just hunting with me. I'd love to see the moves Gullspeckle's taught you." He mewed softly before looking towards their mentors. He nodded quickly and started making his way towards the camp with the other apprentice and mentors. "I'm not very good at my battle skills yet. Palmbreeze says I need to work on my confidence, but I don't know..." Firepaw let out a little mph of a noise, ears flattening ever so slightly. "I just don't like the thought of fighting, I guess. But its what all warriors do, so I'm trying to get better." He decided to be a little more open about his own thoughts, hoping to ease any anxiety that may still be prickling at his den mate (who tended to be in the ginger toms mind non-stop. Who are you fooling firepaw? no one.)
"Can we maybe practice on the sand today? I have trouble there a lot with the sand being harder to find footing. I think it'd be good practice. Since we, you know, live by the shore and ocean." Firepaw asked curiously towards their mentors, green eyes glittering with anticipation for his own question.

MARSHCLAW - - โ
He should have been more than aware of the molly approaching them than he was. Marshclaw had been in his own mind and thoughts, thinking about his plans and what he wanted to discuss with Eelstrike that he didn't even notice Reefsong approaching until she spoke up. He couldn't help the small snort that left him, licking the fur on his chest to seem like the molly hadn't slightly startled him. Flicking her ear with the tip of his tail, he continued to lead them out of the camp with ease.
Leading had come natural to Marshclaw, despite being just the deputy. He stepped up a lot more than he should be required to, at least. Seastar- ugh. The no good leader did nothing. He hasn't done anything since he hit four lives. After his fifth life being lost to some bout of sickness, the tom never left his den unless he needed to. The only cases tended to be for ceremonies. Even then, they were mediocre and lacked the typical excitement most cats expected. Seastar was lacking, so Marshclaw was stepping up.
Thats what caused his plans to be even more urgent. At least, in the deputies mind they needed to be urgent and carried out sooner rather than later. Slipping out of the camp, he glanced back at the burly black tom and the ginger and white tabby. His eyes glanced over the two, noticing no cat following. Silently, he gestured to two to follow him, making his way towards the docks that lined the Salty river and jutted out onto the ocean. Most Oceanclan cats steered clear of these areas, considering the amount of twolegs that ended up using the area. But, Marshclaw had timed the walk perfectly. It was much too late in the morning for the twolegs to be around, and the fishing season hadn't begun yet anyways.
Eventually, Marshclaw stopped at the edge of the dock before leaping up onto one of the thick wooden pillars, blancing with ease. He cast his gaze back towards his best friends and lashed his tail. "I wanted to come here to talk to you both about my plans. I need to do something tonight. Seastar still has four lives left, and I may have an idea to try. To see if it'll take a single life, or his remaining lives." He eventually spoke. He was bold about his plans, siting down, tall and proud as he stared at the two who had helped him through his course of ideas and even lent paws to help him carry them out. "I'm going to see if I can get a hold of Night Shade or Death Berries to slip into a piece of prey, then offer it to him. He never comes out to eat, Bubblewhisker has given up on the tom, and well, frankly, I fear the time is merely being dragged out the long I wait. I need you both on board before I do it." The brown tabby tom stood, tail swishing behind him as he looked between Eelstrike and Reefsong.
If they gave up on his plans now, he might have to rethink his whole idea. And he definitely couldn't have that. Marshclaw needed his friends on board, and then to get his brother on board. He'd mention shortly his idea to include Puddleheart in on his plans- he just needed to rekindle with his younger brother. Then he'll have the help of another powerful asset, but in a completely different way.

SALTFROST - - โ
Saltfrost was always constantly impressed by their apprentices agility and skills. They were close to a warriors own already, and it made the young feline feel a sense of pride that they got to mentor such a capable young cat as their first apprentice. With their own chest rising and falling quickly to catch their breath, they took a few side steps towards the ocean, listening carefully to Honeypaw as she spoke. They of course wouldn't rush her. They wanted nothing more than for their apprentice to grow accustomed to the water once again. It had been the biggest hindrance in the pairs training together, after all. Saltfrost was just proud that Honeypaw wanted to try again instead of allowing the accident to forever define how she viewed the ocean.
The silver tabby bit back a few words, wanting to express even the slightest bit of concern. They knew better though. Honeypaw wasn't going to push herself too hard, and they knew that. They could tell that this was still hard, given how there was the slightest bit of hesitance with going deeper. They stepped forward, standing beside Honeypaw and resting their tail gently on her back, nodding their head.
"I don't care if it's an all day thing. It's still amazing that you are pushing yourself to tackle this challenge again." Saltfrost eventually mewed softly. They purred softly and looked towards the waves that piled over each other, lapping at their own paws as well. It was chilly, which was expected at this time of day and the type of season that the clan was in. They would let Honeypaw take it at her own pace. The ginger and white molly needed the confidence, and Saltfrost intended to make it known how proud they were of her. "I'm going to do it with you. We're doing this together. If it becomes too much, do not feel as if you failed, or as if you aren't allowed to step away and come back to this another day. We will do this at the pace you are comfortable with." Saltfrost meowed kindly, running their tail against Honeypaw's spine in a comforting motion. Sure, she probably didn't need them to comfort her, but they did it anyways.
Saltfrost was confident in Honeypaw, though. She would definitely power through this challenge and obstacle, and they would be there with her every pawstep of the way.
