I HAVE ASC#4 THUNDER! THUNDER SPOILER THREAD

Frostpaw wakes up in the horseplace. Whistlepaw greets her and offers her thyme and food, but she refuses both, even though she admits to being sick and her neck wound throbbing with pain. Frostpaw asks how she ended up here, Whistlepaw is surprised she doesn’t remember as she half walked here. Frostpaw’s fear grows as she realizes she must really be sick if she can’t remember.

They discuss who tried to kill Frostpaw.. Frostpaw tells her about her vision and how Reedwhisker was murdered. Frostpaw is convinced she wasn’t imaging it when Whistlepaw suggests that possibility and that StarClan was showing her something. Whistlepaw asks about Mistystar’s death but Frostpaw assures her she died of natural causes. Whistlepaw points out that another one of her Clanmates was killed by dogs. Claws pierce Frostpaw’s heart and Whistlepaw offers her condolences when she remembers Curlfeather was her mother. Frostpaw tells her Curlfeather told her to trust no cat. They discuss whether Curlfeather knew what happened to Reedwhisker and Frostpaw thinks Curlfeather must have suspected that something was wrong and that might be why she died. Frostpaw admits to telling Splashtail about her vision. Whistlepaw wonders if Splashtail could have been the cat who attacked Frostpaw. Frostpaw immediately rejects this possibility and is afraid she put Splashtail in danger by telling him about her vision.

Whistlepaw begs to tell Kestrelflight but Frostpaw wants the attacker to think her dead. Frostpaw tells Whistlepaw that the attacker will see her blood and assume a fox or buzzard carried her away. Whistlepaw then admits to having told another cat about Frostpaw but assures her it’s no Clan cat. Smoky pads out from behind the straw.

Frostpaw is initially distrustful of Smoky but Whistlepaw insists that some cat needs to take care of her when she is gone. Smoky assures her she is in safe paws and tells her he only knows the Clans a little and Daisy and Mousewhisker visit sometimes. He introduces her to Coriander and Little Daisy, all of whom promise to keep her a secret. Seeing their friendliness, Frostpaw relaxes. Little Daisy, who Whistlepaw taught how to make a poultice, offers to give her more, but Smoky suggests she needs more rest first but suggests a Twoleg treating her as one treated Little Daisy’s paw cut, but she vehemently refuses. She falls asleep.

She wakes up to loud yowling, making her fearful. She narrows her eyes and sees Smoky as the cat yowling but spots no danger or other cats. She realizes he is calling to a Twoleg and that he wants it to come and she tries to get him to stop but Smoky refuses, telling her he can’t let her die. The Twoleg easily grabs and secures her in its hands, no matter how hard she tries to lash out and bite it. She feels a prick at the back of her neck and passes out.

Would certainly cut down on journey time if she gets driven all the way to the Park Cats. Maybe the vet is over there?

Being perfectly honest, I never expected to see Little Daisy and Coriander again. That makes me happy to see them and they even know Whistlepaw. The fact that she taught Little Daisy how to make a poultice is amazing.

But I do feel sad for Frostpaw thinking about the fact that Splashtail would never attack her. He was literally the only cat who knew she was going to WC. I wonder if that quote "I think I've always known. But I didn't dare admit it, even to myself" is about this.

Actually, yes. The blurb for Thunder states a young warrior to go with Frostpaw and the blurb for Wind mentions two park cats having followed Nightheart home. I wonder how they run into each other.

Getting this in before I'm inevitably wrong.



Berryheart attacks Nightheart at the Moonpool and things go horribly wrong and he runs away?

Nice to see Daisy’s kin strike back. Also, big lol at Frostpaw confiding in Whistlepaw after ignoring the “trust no cat” warning didn’t go so well for her, and ever bigger lol at her speedrunning to get to the Cats of the Park with the twoleg. Expect her to have a long lifespan like Mistystar, who also got a vaccination.
