Morningpaw woke to see many medicine cats before her, she took a moment to admire their glimmering pelts. She then stood straight up and faced Owlwing as he begun to spoke, listening to every closely. “I do,” she mewed proudly as she looked at him, keeping her posture nice and straight. The anticipation was growing even more as she waited for him to continue.

Owlwing nodded. "Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. Morningpaw, from this moment you will be known as Morningstream. StarClan honors your dedication and compassion, and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of Isletclan." He said proudly, tabby then leaned his head forward, pressing his muzzle to her forehead, pulling away when she licked his shoulder. A purr escaping his throat as the surrounding cats cried her new name.
"Morningstream" "Morningstream" "Morningstream"
They cried, Owlwing looking at his apprentice with a gentle look, "Congratulations, it has been an honor to mentor you." He told her, turning his head to give the spirits a respectful nod, his eyes laying on one cat for a moment who gave him a gentle, warm smile before disappearing into the stars with the rest of the cats.

Morningstream smiled as the cats chanted her name and dipped her head at Owlwing, “thank you, it was an honor to be your apprentice.” She mewed kindly at the tom and dipped her head. She faced the rest of the medicine cats and also dipped her head at them, silently thanking them for everything. All the cats began to slowly disappear and Morningstream and Owlwing were back in front of the moonstone, she took a deep breath of the fresh air and relished her new name. He had chosen such a good name, not one she guessed. She dipped her head at him again and let out a pure, enjoying the pride she felt inside of her. “Well, looks like a long way home,” she mewed and gave him a smile. He probably wanted to head back as soon as they could, since the journey was long and they hadn't eaten since the day before. Morningstream began to trot back over the stone to the land, then waited for Owlwing to take the lead.

Owlwing nodded. "We will have to swing by the fox den." He told her, turning to leave without another word. He was determined to make good time. He knew that the three of them would be chatting away while he treated Frostpaw, and they could be difficult to separate once they got started. They continued to walk for a while, eventually reaching the river again. Like before, Owlwing crossed with ease, then waited on the other side for Morningstream, offering her assistance if she needed help up. "We need to be quick." He warned her, giving her a stern look. The cat then continued towards the fox den, breaking into a brisk trot as they got closer.

Morningstream picked up her pace as Owlwing explained they’d need to stop by the fox den, which gave her excitement but at the same time she knew they’d have to be quick. But excitement still sparked inside of her as they sped walked towards the fox den, she couldn’t wait to tell them she got her name. She watched her every step and stride across the river, making sure to be quick but efficient. She pulled herself up onto the shore with the help of Owlwing, and trotted after him as he took off. The sight of the fox den was in Morningstream’s vision and a smile came across her face, the excitement was hard to contain. As they approached the den it was silent, so she assumed they were asleep. She crept halfway into the den to not startle them, “Frostpaw, Duskpaw.” She mewed attempting to wake them up.

(Sorry for the wait!)
Frostpaw had been the first to wake up, pawing at Duskpaw with a sudden burst of kit-like energy. She had been expecting Owlwing, not her sister after all. "Duskpaw, it's Morningpaw!" She said, urging the large cat to raise up, she couldn't see the entrance from behind his bulky frame.
Owlwing slipped into the den with ease, instantly taking a moment to look over Frostpaw's wounds. "Stop moving." He ordered, a look of irritation on his face. It had only been a few days, yet the she-cat was moving around so much. "You will either open up the wound again and bleed out, or get an infection if you don't lay down and rest." He added, his eyes not leaving the wound. It showed promising signs of healing. It would take a moon or two for her to be back in shape, and he would need to teach her how to climb, jump and run without a tail. He signed, it was all a pain. The tabby left the den, giving Morningstream a look to indicate that he was going to go gather herbs, and would be back soon.
Frostpaw got quiet when Owlwing spoke, feeling embarrassed that he had to scold her like a kit, but she nodded, taking in everything he said. "Yes, Owlwing. I'm sorry." She apologized as he looked over her wound before he vanished from the den. She looked to her brother, "Oops." she said sheepishly, knowing that the medicine cat had been correct, she was moving around far more than she should.

(Hey no worries!)
Duskpaw mumbled as Frostpaw nudged him awake, perking his head up quickly when she mentioned Morningpaw. “Really?” He excitedly stood up and saw Morningstream at the entrance of the den, and Owlwing came in quickly before scolding Frostpaw. He waited for the medicine cat to exit to the den before talking to the siblings, “It’s okay Frost,” he mewed and gave her a loving nudge with his muzzle, hoping that the medicine cat's words hadn’t discouraged her. He turned to Morningstream, “Morningpaw! We miss you, come in!” He mewed and sat next to Frostpaw to make enough room for the she-cat.
Morningstream nodded slightly at Owlwing as he left and entered the den to face her siblings, excitement still tugging at her scruff. “You both better stop calling me Morningpaw,” she smirked at the two but couldn’t contain the news, “I just got my name! Morningstream!” She mewed and did a small twirl in the den before sitting down. She didn’t doubt for a moment that the two were as proud of her as she was proud of herself. After she sat down she felt her legs begin to ache, the journey was long and she was exhausted. But the exhausting feeling felt like it seeped away when she was with her siblings, but the throbbing of her legs were persistent. The rumble of her hungry stomach almost startled her, she forgot she hadn’t eaten in so long.

Frostpaw gave her sister a smile. "That suits you. It's pretty." She purred, kneading the moss beneath her paws as she spoke. She felt that Morningpaw-stream, deserved it, after all, from what Duskpaw told her, her sister acted like a true medicine cat the other day. The pale she-cat couldn't imagine how difficult it would have been to treat one of your siblings. Still, she was surprised that Owlwing had agreed to let her gain her name early, perhaps there was more to the medicine cat than she knew. The tom was always scolding, and complaining but then again, he didn't even hesitate to help her when she was injured. "I bet Aspenpaw will have fit when he finds out." She added with a quiet laugh. She could see the tom rolling onto his bad, complaining that medicine cat apprenticeships were suppose to be longer than warriors. Her ears perked up when she heard Morningstream's stomach, she looked to Duskpaw. "Do we have any left over shrews?" She asked, worried for her sister. The journey was long, surely she and Owlwing need to eat something before returning to camp, especially if they were taking the time to stop by.

Duskpaw let out a purr as Morningstream told them the news, “it does fit you! I’m so proud of you!” He exclaimed to his sister, beyond happy that she had become a medicine so early. He was sure she was deserving of it though, she had worked so hard while they were in the clan and he was sure she kept up the good work after they left. “Yea I think there is one shrew left, if you want it?” He asked her.
Morningstream let out a purr as they praised her, it felt good to make them proud. “Thank you..” she mewed sweetly, “also Aspenpaw got his name yesterday. It would only be fair,” she teased with a smile. “Actually redpaw too. Their names are now Aspenheart and Redclaw,” she mewed with the smile still on her face. Guilt tugged at her slightly, she silently wished the two in front of her had also gotten their names. But she reminds herself that they seem happy, and maybe this life is meant for them. “Ah thank you, I’ll wait for Owlwing to make sure I can eat. We have to fast to make the trip to the moonstone, so I better make sure it’s okay.” She mewed and dipped her head at them slightly. “But how’s your injury? You seem happy and not in so much pain,” Morningstream pointed out.

"Those are good names too." The pale cat purred, feeling happy for both of the toms. Though she decided it was best not to, she wanted to look at Duskpaw to see his reaction. Frostpaw felt a pang in her chest, remembering how Duskpaw seemed so worried about them never receiving their names. The she-cat decided it was best to leave it for now, wanting to make this visit a happy one. Frostpaw nodded with a smile. She was still in pain, but it was hard to notice it when she was so excited. "I have my own personal medicine cat after all." She told her sister, now taking the chance to look at Duskpaw. "He has gotten pretty good. Maybe Owlwing wants to get a new apprentice." She teased.
"No thanks." Owlwing spat through a bundle of herbs as he walked back into the den, his ears pinned back as she brushed past Duskpaw to look at Frostpaw's wounds. "One was plenty." He added, starting to treat the gash on the former clan-cat with the skill and swiftness one would expect from a seasoned medicine cat. Unlike when Duskpaw would aid her, Frostpaw felt almost no discomfort. "Duskpaw, go get these two something to eat." He ordered, his voice distant as he focused on his work. It was as though the world around him vanished. He muttered to himself, taking note of how the wound was, what needed to change, his estimate of how long she would be bed-ridden. "You need to drink more water, you're dehydrated." He told her, though he wasn't too concerned, most cats were dehydrated in this heat, but most cats weren't tail-less and injured. "Eat this."

Duskpaw giggled at Frostpaws remark, especially since he knew he wasn’t graceful while caring for her. “I try,” he teased her. He looked up at Owlwing as he entered the den, making orders per usual. He dipped his head as his response and slid past Morningstream to exit the den. It wasn’t dawn just yet which meant there wouldn’t much prey out, but he was still determined. He headed off into the trees in search of prey, maybe since he could stray from the den he would be able to find something else besides a shrew.
Morningstream stood as Owlwing began to examine Frostpaw, “maybe I could go get a moss bundle full of water.” She suggested since she assumed Duskpaw didn’t go very far from the den. As she watched them both she began to think of what she would do if she were the medicine cat caring for her, how long would her recovery be, her thoughts ran in a many different directions. The responsibility was now up to her if a cat is injured like this in her care, she would need to watch Owlwing as much as she could with Frostpaws injury. Not many cats lose their tails, probably because a lot of them don’t survive in the wild. But Owlwing saved her, and that made Morningstream sure that he was the best healer to have mentored her.

OWlwing didn't look up as Morningstream spoke, his attention fixed onto Frostpaw. Eventually, he gave her a nod. "Go ahead." He told her quietly, agreeing that it would be best to get Frostpaw hydrated while they were hear. He would offer to have her finish what he was doing, but they needed to leave soon, it would be troublesome if they didn't get back to camp until daylight.
Frostpaw watched Owlwing then looked to her sister. "Be careful. There has been other cats in the area. Duskpaw told me not to worry about them though." She told her sister. Surely if the cats were a threat, her brother wouldn't have just asked them to leave, not while she was so injured. She then looked to Owlwing who gave her an annoyed glance. "Sorry, Father told me you were training to be a warrior before so I didn't think to mention them to you." She apologized, though she caught on that the glance Owlwing had given her was to tease her, opposed to actually annoyance.
Owlwing felt satisfied by the younger cat's reaction and returned to his work, his whiskers twitching in amusement at his trick. "Be careful, call if you need me." He told Morningstream.

Morningstream dipped her head in thanks to Frostpaw for warning her and back out of the den. It was still dark, but the air was warm. She made her way to the river, luckily there was too much moss to miss. She grabbed a large wad and let it soak in the river for a moment. She could only hear the sound of frogs and bugs, it was so peaceful out there. She lifted the moss out of the water and made her way quickly back to the den, meeting Duskpaw on her way. She entered the den and set the moss near Frostpaw so she was able to reach it.
Duskpaw followed Morningstream into the den and dropped a squirrel in front of Frostpaw, “don’t ask me how I found a squirrel in the dark, because I’m still trying to figure it out,” he scoffed. “But you and Morningstream can share it since it’s so big,” he mewed and started eating the shrew he found. He was getting tired of them but they didn’t bother him as much as he wanted them to. Their sleep schedule is all over the place and hunting at night is no fun. He has the advantage with having a black pelt but there still wasn’t much prey out in the dark.

Frostpaw gave Duskpaw her thanks. "You and Morningp-stream can share that. I'll take the shrew. I'm sure you are sick of them by now." She told her brother with a motherly tone. The last thing she wanted was for him to grew to completely hate the shrew. There may be times when that would be the only prey he could get, best hold off making him eat them until then. She lapped up the water from the moss, not realizing how thirsty she had been until she started drinking. It was cool and refreshing.
Owlwing glanced over his work one last time, giving a nod to himself, clearly happy with the results, he stepped out of the den. "As soon as you're done eating, we are leaving." He told Morningstream with a firm tone. There was no time for fun and games, not right now. He had to hurry and report to Moonstar and the clan. They would be expecting an announcement at daybreak. The tom suppressed a yawn. He had hardly slept in the past few days, hopefully, he would get a chance to when they returned to camp. He laid down in front of the entrance of the den, waiting for Morningpaw.

Duskpaw felt a bit of relief when Frostpaw offered him the squirrel, he didn’t argue and grabbed it and set the shrew in front of her. He motioned to Morningstream to come lay next to him and share the squirrel with him.
Morningstream laid next to Duskpaw, pressing her pelt against his and began to eat the squirrel. “Are you guys really doing alright?“ she asked in between bites, wanting to make sure they were making it by with Frostpaws injury. They seemed fine, but not everything always seems the way it is. She worried about them, and worried about them even more now. Frostpaw was surely struggling with not being able to do the daily things she used to be able to do, and Duskpaw couldn’t go far away from the den. But they’ll get by, especially since they’ve been living on their own for almost a moon and a half. “I worry about you both, I hope you heal quickly.” She mewed sweetly and took the last bite of the squirrel. She tried not to make it obvious so they could talk for a moment longer, Owlwing was in a rush to get back but she understood why.

Frostpaw nodded after a bite of the shrew. "Duskpaw has gotten really good at hunting. If it was leaf bare then I would be more worried, but there's plenty of prey and the river is extremely close." She explained to her sister, hoping that will ease her mind. She was glad she had gone with Duskpaw, she could not imagine hoe a cat would survive out here by themselves. "I will be fine." She glanced at the entrance, seeing how close Owlwing was, she looked back to her sister and mouthed the words. "We will be at the next gathering." To her sister. Afterwards, to confirm this, she called out to the older tom. "Owlwing, when will I be able to hunt again?"
The medicine cat looked back at the three cats. "When you get better." He retorted, but when Frostpaw simply stared back at him, he signed. "Quarter moon (week) if you rest and stay hydrated. You'll have to relearn a lot though. Briarshine's kits have better balance than you." He told her from the entrance, giving his tail a flick as he turned away again. "Hurry up, Morningstream."
Frostpaw couldn't hide her grin. She looked at her siblings. If she could hunt in that amount of time, walking to the gather wouldn't be an issue.

Morningstream smiled at Owlwings reply, that would mean that Frostpaw would be well enough to make it to the gathering like they planned. She looked at the two and let out a disappointing sigh, “we need to get going, I think of you both often,” she mewed and gave Duskpaw a nudge with her muzzle. She stood up and mouthed to them, “see you at the gathering,” and with a smile she exited the den and faced Owlwing. “Ready?” He mewed to the tom who was desperate to get going. The sun still wasn’t rising, but you could see the faint color change in the sky. She began to lead the way to the camp, knowing he was ready she didn’t need to wait.
Duskpaw watched Morningstream leave, sadness tugging at him. She was such an amazing Medicine cat, she was so great she was able to become a medicine cat early. He looked over to Frostpaw who was still eating her shrew, his mind running with thoughts. He just wanted to go to sleep and wake up in the clan like nothing happened, but he knew it was unrealistic. He stood up and took a few drinks from the moss, not wanting to drink too much. “That’s good news about you being able to hunt soon,” he mewed as he thought about what Owlwing said. He was excited to go to the gathering, and was happy that her injury wouldn’t get in the way. She would’ve felt guilty even though it wouldn’t have been in her control, she gets a bit of that from Duskpaw.

Owlwing snorted and stood up, of course he was ready, he had been waiting forever for the she-cat to be ready to go. The tom walked on, his pace was much quicker than it had been before, almost to the point of e run. There was no time to wait. They needed to get to camp as soon as possible. He was so tired, he could think of nothing better than his warm nest. When they neared the camp, he looked up at the sky, out of breath, glad that they made it on time. He slowed down to a walk, starting to walk down the stone path, taking the time to fix himself to look presentable. He glanced to Morningpaw, and quickly fixed her pelt. "Let's go." He told her, the sky starting to take on a warm hue, the sun still not rising but it would soon.
Frostpaw gave her sister a smile as she said good bye, her expression filled with pride as she watched the two cats leave. The pale cat nodded in agreement to her brother, she was happy that Owlwing had seemed so unbothered by her injury, though she still felt anxious. "Yes, but he was right about my balance. I'll need you to help me when I do recover." She told him with a serious tone. A lack of balance could cause a lot of trouble for her down the road, it could easily cause her a great disadvantage in a fight, or if she were to fall. Only now that it was gone did she realize that her tail helped her in so many ways. "I will have to be more careful for now on. I won't be able to flip over easily in a fight, or regain my balance if I slip." She said, taking another bite of her shrew.

Morningstream ran after Owlwing, trying to keep his pace. She slowed down once they were approaching the camp, she didn’t want to seem out of breath even though everyone would still be asleep. Therefore maybe she’d be able to sleep for a few hours before she’d need to check on Brairshine and do her daily duties. She followed Owlwing into the camp and looked around, she was right about everyone being in their nests still. She trotted over to the medicine den and crawled into her nest without a word and fell into a deep sleep.
Duskpaw nodded slowly as Frostpaw spoke, he was always worried about her health that he already saw this coming. He knew it was going to be a long road of getting better, but he owed her so much and didn’t care how long he had to care for her. He would take care of her for the rest of their lives if he had to. “It’s okay, I will help you, it’s not a big deal.” He mewed and shrugged it off so she wouldn’t feel bad. He stretched his body and glanced out of the den, he could see the sunlight beginning to hit the trees. “Full moon will be here before we know it,” he commented and curled up next to her.

Frostpaw yawned as she woke up to the new day. It had only been a few days since she last saw Morningpaw, and much of her previous enthusiasm was gone. Owlwing and Duskpaw had been more persistent than before after Owlwing caught early signs of an infection. He smothered her with gross smelling herbs and Duskpaw never seemed to leave her side. She loved her brother dearly, but she was feeling close to snapping at him. She often had plenty of time to be by herself with her own thoughts, but instead, Duskpaw would be where ever she was, filling in any silence with chatting. She waited until Duskpaw was up to aske him to help her go outside the den. By now, she would be able to by herself, Owlwing had been making her do exercises at night when he came to treat her. But she knew it would make Duskpaw worry if he woke up with her gone. "Thank you." She purred when she was laid out in the warm sun, enjoying its' warmth.

Duskpaw took a deep breath of the morning air after helping Frostpaw outside. He had been so worried about her since Owlwing said she was showing signs of early infection. But he couldn’t ignore the rumble in his belly, “I’ll catch us something to eat. Probably a shrew,” he smirked and glanced around the area. He still didn’t like to stray far from the den, just because he didn’t anything to happen to her if he could prevent it.

Frostpaw signed and thought for a moment. "Duskpaw, we can't keep hunting so close to the den. Prey will learn this area is unsafe." She pointed out, something that was true. "I'll need to practice hunting close to the den soon. It would be best for you to hunt further away from the den so that we don't have to travel much when that time comes. I'll be fine by myself. I can run away if needed or climb a tree." She told him, hoping that would convince him to leave her alone for a spell. Besides, she worried that he would start to get nauseous if he ate more shrew.

Duskpaw shrugged at Frostpaws words, she had a point. If she was going to be hunting soon again then he could stray from the den for a bit. Plus he was sick of shrew. “Okay then.. I’ll go by the river.” He mewed to her, “if something does happen just yell for me, I’m sure I could hear you.” He mewed and then gave her a slight nod before heading for the river. Anxiety rushing over him, but he knew if he would’ve said no it would have turned into an argument.
Mara decided to watch the cats from afar, Frostpaw and Duskpaw that is. She never found out their names, not only was the tom protective he was also not the nicest. She knew he would be a hard egg to crack, but maybe persistence will do it? Regardless, there she was watching them. The she-cat was out of the den, so that verifies that she survived. Ha, Henry will be surprised, she thought as she watched the cats. There would be a chance that would make Henry want them to join the group even more. If they ended up joining then maybe she’d get to stop investigating, and she’d be able to get to know them. Mara watched the long haired tom go off into the thickness of the forest and she decided to approach the she-cat. Trying not to startle her, she cleared her throat before saying, “hello.” She mewed nicely and gave her a smile.

Frostpaw smiled as she watched the tom leave. "Good luck!" She called after him. She enjoyed the warmth of the sun with half-lidded eyes, but when she caught the scent of the cat from before, she opened them. She gave the she-cat a cold, unreadable look as Mara approached. "Hello." She greeted in return, taking the time to inspect the cat. She was clearly from the twoleg place, and not much older than herself. Frostpaw thought for a moment, recalling what her brother had told her. This cat was one of the ones that saved her, though judging by her age, she likely was not the one who extended the invitation. Though she could be wrong but Frostpaw assumed that she was most likely here to recruit Duskpaw. Sending a young she-cat was a good way to get a young tom onto your side, so clearly the unknown leader was somewhat intelligent. "Thank you for your assistance before." She told the cat, wanting to make it clear that she was fully aware of who she was.

Mara was a bit surprised that the she-cat remembered who she was, but then again she was surprised that she survived. “No need to thank me, my names Mara by the way. Me and the tom can’t even have a conversation far enough to know each other’s names,” she joked and sat down near the she-cat. Even though it was true, she didn’t want to be uptight about it. He probably had his reasons for being so closed off, so it didn’t bother her that much.

Frostpaw stared at the cat for a moment, trying to figure out what she wanted. "I'm afraid that you will find I have no interest in talk to you as well." Frostpaw told her bluntly, though her voice remained clam. The she-cat crossed her front paws as she once again inspected the she-cat, her ear twitching as she tried to think of how to deal with her. She wanted to simply turn her away, but what was to stop the cat from attacking her. She had seen that Frostpaw was alive but injured, such a thing would be easy to use against her brother. "I will listen to you, but I will not be providing you any information." She told her, giving her shoulder a few licks. She wanted to know what they wanted, she knew Duskpaw would be too passionate to even let Mara get a word in, but information was key in this situation.

Mara stood and shrugged at her, “fair enough, it’s good to see you survived,” she mewed and turned away towards where she came from, “see you later!” She called as she trotted into the brush. She knew that the she-cat had survived but she also had to see it for herself. But she picked up her pace because she was interested in telling Henry that she had survived. As for the she-cat she was much like the other cat, seemingly they must be siblings.
Duskpaw carried a squirrel and two finches and dropped them near Frostpaw. He smelt the air and could scent the one she-cat, “did that cat just come up to you?” He asked her curiously and began to look around, suspecting if she hadn’t then she was surely watching them. “I bet you all she wants is information for her leader,” he grumbled and laid down in front of Frostpaw and the prey. He eyeballed Frostpaw as he dragged the finches towards him, giving her a playful smile.

Frostpaw said nothing as the cat walked away, annoyed that she wasn't given anymore info. She thought of what she could have said and done different. She found herself glaring at where the she cat stood a moment ago. She must not make sure a mistake for a second time. Frostpaw snapped back to reality when she heard Duskpaw emerged from the forest. She nodded, looking back to were Mara had gone. "Her name is Mara, she will be coming back; I wasn't able to get anymore information but yes, she seems to be acting as a scout." Frostpaw smiled and pulled the bird closer to her. "I think she suspected that I would be easier to talk to, however, she left as soon as she confirmed that I was well." She explained, eagerly taking a bite of the prey.

Duskpaw began to eat the bird, enjoying every bite since he had missed the taste of finch. “I keep telling her to leave us alone, I thanked her enough for helping.” He mewed sternly, why couldn’t the she-cat understand? She couldn’t fool him into being an acquaintance to her, she was shady and who knew what their rogue group was up to. “At least she seems harmless,” he mewed. She seemed very soft and friendly, but maybe he was wrong. Every cat isn’t what they seem.
Mara entered the rogue camp and padded over to the area that Henry always hung out around, she spotted the tom and approached him. “Hey Henry, you won’t believe it. The she-sat that we helped survived,” she mewed with pleasure and waited for the leader's response. It was going to be impossible to find out more information about them, but she was determined since he would grow irritated if she didn’t.

Frostpaw shook her head. "I doubt she's as harmless as she seems. I would be careful for now on. I didn't tell her our names or relationship but if she is smart I sure she could figure out that we are siblings." Frostpaw pointed out. Despite the vast difference in size and pelt, she thought that they looked rather similar. Though many may disagree to that statement. "We need to find out as much as we can about them. When I'm better, we should go to the twoleg place and ask around. Anyone would talk for some fresh prey." She suggested, finishing off the bird. She thought for a while, anyone who didn't want to talk could be intimidated by Duskpaw's size, but she didn't want to use her brother for such a thing. It was beneath him. Sadly, she wasn't exactly the type of cat that many would fear.
Henry laid out on the top of a stone fence, his eyes half lidded as he enjoyed the sun, ignoring the monsters that raced by. He wished they could move closer to the water, where it was rich with fish, mice and housefolk that would give food in exchange for a meow or two. Instead, him and his group were forced to stay in the center of the town, where dogs were rampant and the only prey to be found were rats and pigeons. All of which feasted on rotten twoleg leftovers and poison. He opened his eyes when he heard Mara, other cats moving aside to allow her to pass. "She survived?" He asked, sitting up on his throne of stone. "Did you talk to her?" He added, jumping down to speak to the black and white she-cat. He hoped the one that survived would be easy to manipulate, even if she was of no use to him, surely the tom would follow her if she wanted to join his group. He recalled the cat was small, surely she wouldn't require much to eat, and having more young cats in the group would cause others to feel inclined to join. "Did she seem interested in joining us?"
