Morningpaw looked at her father happily, though she couldn’t tell him that she had seen their siblings, she was still happy to see him. “I did,” she replied to him. “How’s everything been while I was gone?” She asked him, curious to how he was. She always worries about him, she doesn’t want him to wait for Duskpaw and Frostpaw anymore. They were content with their life, and if only she could tell him that without being obvious. Maybe one day he could see them, but even then he would probably be a mess and beg them to come home.
Redpaw laughed at Aspenpaw as they stopped wrestling, he was out of breath and needed a break. “Aspenpaw thinks he’ll be the almighty leader one day,” he teased the tom and pushed his head slightly with his paw. He glanced at Morningpaw and Silvermist as they talked, all of them seemed much happier lately. Which made him happier, they were practically his family too.
—
Duskpaw quickly lifted his head when he heard faint crunching of the undergrowth, he squinted his eyes to see a faint black figure walking his way. He let out a huff and stood up, recognizing it was one of the cats that helped him the day before. What could she possibly want, he thought as he watched her approach. He took a few steps towards once she got closer, not letting her very close to the den. “Can I help you?” Duskpaw mewed bluntly at her. He quickly looked away from her once she looked him in the eyes, he didn’t want her pity nor her eye contact.
Mara smiled at the toms reaction to her presence. “I was just curious to see if she made it, you know we did help you.” She mewed but kept her smile on her face as she looked at him.
Duskpaw scoffed and began to turn back towards the den. “Well shes my sister, and it’s none of your concern. Wether you helped or not, please go.” He spat and walked back towards the den, he refused to let anyone get close to him or Frostpaw, regardless of how sleek her fur was or how green her eyes glowed. It was about protecting him and Frostpaw now, and he made a silent promise to himself he wouldn’t trust another cat.
Mara rolled her eyes at Duskpaws hostility, “you should be thankful we helped you, we could have left you both to die,” she mewed defensively at him. She decided to turn around and go where she came from, not wanting to argue with the tom no further.

"I know I will be!" ASpenpaw responded quickly, pawing Redpaw on the forehead as he spoke. "And Redpaw will be my loyal deputy!" He added, laying down, giving the reddish cat a teasing look, his tail flicking with excitement. "And Morningpaw will be my medicine cat." He added, not wanting to leave his sister out of the plan.
Silvermist shook his head, "Well, you will have to train well then." He told his son, taking a bite of his fish as he watched the apprentice with a glint of amusement in his eyes. He was glad that they were all so close. It made his decision regarding Redpaw seem like the right one. "You two can't slack off, even once you become warriors. And you can't keep taking up the whole clearing with your play fighting." He teased.
"We were just training." Aspenpaw purred, taking the time to stretch out his body on the cool ground. "Right, Redpaw?"
__
Frostpaw opened her eyes as she heard voices. At first, she felt excited, thinking it was Morningpaw, then she felt fear, thinking it was Azreal; but soon she realized it was a voice she had never heard before. She wanted to call out and ask who it was, but she stopped herself, focusing on the entrances as she strained to hear what they had to say. She could only make out small bits, not enough to understand the bigger picture. She laid there in the darkness, waiting for her brother to come into the den, not wanting to reveal that there was a second, injured cat to a potential enemy.

Redpaw shrugged, “I guess so?” He questioned and giggled at him. He was quickly distracted by the sight of Moonstar jumping onto the tree branch she usually goes onto to call meetings.
Moonstar jumped up on the tree branch she usually enjoys sitting on and overlooked the clan. Taking a deep breath before calling the meeting, “let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the willow tree for a clan meeting.” She mewed loudly for everyone to hear and waited for everyone to gather.
Morningpaw jumped up, she had a good feeling Aspenpaw was going to become a warrior. “Let’s go” she urged and waited for them and Silvermist.
—
Duskpaw felt anger boiling inside of him at the she-cats comment, if she wanted to be part of their life she wasn’t doing a good job to get there. He creeped into the den to check on Frostpaw, assuming she heard the talking. Once he noticed she was awake his anger melted away, “how are you doing?” He asked her and laid near her, looking at her with hopeful eyes. She looked like she was curious, probably about the discussion she had just heard. “It was no one, don’t worry.” He mewed and gave her a smile, she didn’t deserve to worry about anything while she healed.

Aspenpaw scrambled to follow his sister, wondering if the meeting was regarding why she went to moonstone. He trotted ahead of his family, urging Redpaw to walk fasting as he tried to get a good view,]. He sat down by the tree and looked back to make sure everyone was close behind. Silvermist sat down beside him and gave him a nudge, a silent urge for him to stop racing around like that, but a low chuckle gave the silent scolding a sense of lightheartedness. Aspenpaw glanced back to Redpaw, wrinkling his nose, slightly embarrassed to be scolded at his age, but he soon recovered and looked up to their leader.
Frostpaw looked at Duskpaw for a moment. "I know you don't want me to be stressed right now. But you have to tell me what you can. What if they come back while you're hunting?" She told him. She knew he wanted to protect her, but he couldn't be in two places at once. Even when Owlwing was to visit, the medicine cat would not be able to hold his own should they be attacked. "Just whatever you can tell me." She added, insisting that he provided her with some kind of information. The thought of being caught off guard and attacked made her anxious. Right now, she was an easy target, unable to even walk on her own. At the same time however, she was happy she had decided to return to the den when she had. She wasn't sure how she would have reacted if a threat had arrived after the nightmare she had.

Moonstar waited for everyone to sit and get comfortable before she spoke, “before anyone gets worried, everything is fine. This evening is to celebrate the excellence of two apprentices,” she paused with a smile and continued, “Aspenpaw please step forward.” She mewed and slightly dipped her head at him. “And Redpaw, please step forward.” She gave the tom a smile, who was surprised just as she wanted him to be.
Redpaw gave Moonstar a look of shock and looked over to his mother, who gave him such an exciting expression. He stepped forward and looked at Aspenpaw, he couldn’t be more excited to receive his warrior name with his best friend.
Moonstar dipped her head at the two apprentices and continue$ with the ceremony. “I, Moonstar, leader of IsletClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these two apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn.”
She stopped for a moment and cleared her throat and looked directly at Aspenpaw, “Aspenpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?”
—
Duskpaw sighed, but nodded in agreement to his sister. “Okay, okay. Yesterday.. when everything happened.. two rogues helped us out, I don’t know if you remember.” He mewed and looked up to her, “but one of them distracted the dogs and they both carried you for me.” He explained to her, shuddering at the thought of the day before. “But anyway, the she-cat that helped just came back to ask how you are. And it’s none of her business.” Duskpaw mewed a bit defensively.

Aspenpaw forced himself to walk proudly, with steady steps; a complete change from his bouncing steps only a few short moments ago. The dark tabby stood with his chested puffed out. Despite his serious expression and posture, his blue eyes were gleaming with joy at the thought of becoming a warrior. The tom glanced to Quietstorm, giving his mentor a quick smile in thanks before he gave Moonstar all of his attention. He gave the gray cat a single nod. "I do." He mewed, a determined expression on his face. The crowd around him seemed to have disappeared, it was as if it was only him and Moonstar.
Silvermist watched the two from the crowd, a proud expression on his face, to the point that he almost appeared giddy from the excitement. He glance Morningpaw a glancing, wanting to see if she was just as proud and excited as he was.
--
Frostpaw shook her head at his question. She could only recall everything in bit and pieces, all she knew for sure was that Azreal pushed her and Duskpaw saved her. Those were her truths, ones she would never forget. She watched her brother attentively, though a tired expression was clear on her face. She nodded again when he was done explaining. "I trust your judgement." She told him, though her eyes darted past him and to the entrance, as if the she-cat was going to return and attack him from behind. "Why did they help us?" She added, her eyes narrowing. Why would anyone take the time and risk to save two unknown cats? Frostpaw couldn't help but wonder if they were friends of Azreal. That sneaky cat had grown up here after all. "Were they kittypets?"

Morningpaw glanced up at her father when he looked at her, it was good to see him so proud. She was also so very proud. She pressed against Silvermist and watched closely waiting to hear her brothers new name.
Moonstar kept her gaze with Aspenpaw. “Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Aspenpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Aspenheart. StarClan honors your enthusiasm and compassion, and we welcome you as a full warrior of IsletClan.” She smiled and dipped her head at the tom, now focusing her gaze on Redpaw. “Redpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?”
Redpaw felt so much excitement rushing through his body once Moonstar looked at him, “I do!” He mewed proudly.
“Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Redpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Redclaw. StarClan honors your resilience and energy, and we welcome you as a full warrior of IsletClan.” She mewed and dipped her head before jumping off the tree, she stepped forward to Redclaw and rested her muzzle on his head, and as she did Redclaw licked her shoulder as tradition. She stepped over to Aspenheart and did the same thing, and welcomed them both by their names.
—
Duskpaw sighed again and looked away, “I don’t know why… but they are rogues. And the tom told me there was always a place for me in his group.” He scoffed as he remembered what the tom said to him. He never did get their names, but yet he didn’t care. He also wasn’t going to keep anything from Frostpaw, he couldn’t take her injury away but he could provide her with all of his truth. He noticed her keep looking to the entrance which made him look behind him, “it’s okay Frost, I’ll protect you.” He mewed and gave her a hopeful gaze.

Silvermist was one of the first to release a cheer when both apprentices were named. Along with many of his clanmates, he exclaimed their names with pride. When it was okay to do you, he rushed over and nuzzled them both. "You two will have to do you vigil of silence, but I'm glad you get to do it together." He purred, giving them both a proud look.
Aspenheart stayed quiet, not wanting to break his vigil. He gave Redclaw an excited look, nuzzling the tom as well. The dark tabby glanced around the clan, silently thank each and every one of them. He felt so much pride to now be named as a warrior, especially with his best friend. The tom gave Morningpaw a look, silently boasting about his name, which he was happy to claim.
Frostpaw felt discomfort after what he told her, but nodded along as he spoke. She couldn't help but get a bad feeling about that cats, but at the same time, she could understand why they would want Duskpaw so badly. He was a large cat with clear training, it was a no brainer that he would be a powerful asset. She pinned her ears back for a moment, feeling guilty for causing him to feel the need to look behind him. "I know, I'm sorry."

Morningpaw let out a cheer once the two got their names, chanting both of their names proudly. She giggled when Aspenheart looked at her, he could tell by his expression he was happy with his name. Good thing he was, it suited him well. “I’m so proud of you,” she mewed and touched his nose. She knew he had to keep vigil so she quickly turned to Redclaw and touched his nose too, “I’m also so proud of you.” She mewed and smiled at him.
Redclaw felt so much excitement as everyone cheered their names, Quietstorm was licking his forehead and purring, so proud of him for becoming a warrior a moon early. He dipped his head at Morningpaw as a thanks since he couldn’t speak, holding in all of his excitement. A lot of excitement was that he was able to get his warrior name with Aspenheart and hold vigil with him, it was a dream he never thought would come true.
—
Duskpaw tilted his head at Frostpaw, “don’t apologize. I-I just don’t know what I would’ve done if… you know.. and after all of that I just want you to not worry.” He confessed to her, he wished he could take her worry away but he couldn’t. The trauma will reside with her but he wanted to at least give her a piece of mind. “Are you hungry? I better hunt before it’s dark, I’ll stay around here, I promise.” He mewed to her and gave her a smile. He knew since he had been in the den for a bit some rodents should have come out. He didn’t want to go far, he wouldn’t forgive him if something happened- or if those rogues ambushed her while he was gone. He shook his thoughts away, he didn’t need to worry about things that aren’t happening.

(Next morning)
Aspenheart felt a wave of relief when the sun began to rise from beyond the horizon. As he watched the rising sun, he glanced to Redclaw, giving the tom a grin. "I guess we can talk now!" He exclaimed, with a big sigh. As he spoke, Silvermist exited the warriors den.
"Yes, now you two can go get some rest." He told the two, "Make sure you go to the right one." He added with a purr, nudging Aspenheart as the dark tabby passed him.
Aspenheart was quick to trot to the new den, curling up in the moss, leaving room beside him for his friend.
----
Owlwing pawed at Morningpaw to wake her up. "Morningpaw." He called, his voice tired. The tom hadn't slept at all last night, instead, he rushed to see Frostpaw and Duskpaw, having to swim around the island to avoid being caught by Redclaw or Aspenheart, which added time to his travels. "I need you to check on Briarshine and her kits, and get started on the morning tasks." He told, forcing himself to hold back a yawn. He walked over to drying stone, starting to organize the herbs that had dried already. "I Have herbs ready for Briarshine in the usual spot." He added, not looking up as he shuffled through the dried flowers and leaves. He would love to get some sleep, but he had to catch up on everything if they were leaving again tonight. "No eating or taking any herbs." He added to remind her. He too must fast, as much as he would love a fatty piece of fish.
-----
Frostpaw shifted slightly in her nest, starting to feel the poppy seeds wearing off. She glanced around to her brother, the large black cat nearly invisible in the darkness of the den. The pale she-cat yawned, feeling the ache of her body, stiff from sitting in the nest for so long. She recalled that Owlwing had placed some odd leaves in the moss, which were helping, apparently. However, she felt a tinge of doubt. It felt like she hadn't moved in moons.

Redclaw jumped up, “I guess so! Congratulations!“ he mewed excitedly to Aspenheart and trotted next to him to the warriors den. Feeling pride as he entered and found his nest to sleep, falling asleep quickly from being up so long.
Morningpaw woke up from Owlwings words, squinting her eyes as she looked up at him. “Okay,” she mumbled into a yawn, stretching from her nest before she began his orders. She grabbed the herbs for Brairshine as Owlwing made his last order, confusion washing over her but she decided not to question him. Making her way into the nursery she dipped her head at Brairshine, “how are you and your kits?” She asked sweetly and set the few herbs she had in her mouth down near the queen, knowing she knew the drill now. “They’re precious,” Morningpaw mewed as she admired their small bodies, so helpless yet so cute.
—
Duskpaw entered the den with marigold and a poppy seed in his mouth, he stepped towards Frostpaw and set the poppy seed in front of her, “here, I’m sure you’re in pain. Then I have to rub this marigold on your wound,” he mewed and began the process of chewing and applying the herb while she ate the poppy seed. Once he finished he looked back to her, “I also got up and caught some prey before you woke up, if you’re hungry..” he trailed off, slightly hoping she’d want to pay in the sun. She probably felt safe in the den, but it would be good for her to get outside. “It’s really nice outside,” he hinted and gave her a smile.

Briarshine smiled when Morningpaw entered. "They are doing very well." She purred, looking down at the kits with a loving gaze. The red cat took the herbs without question, used to the taste and smell. "They are feeding very well, and gaining plenty of weight." She told the apprentice quietly as she ate the herbs, her nose wrinkling as the bitter taste hit her palette. "Aren't they." She purred, her tone bright despite the herbs she just had to consume, at Morningpaw's comment, her fluffy tail moving to allow the silver she-cat a better look. The kits squirmed and cried for a moment at the loss of warmth, but were quick to recover. "They will become fine warriors." She added, her gaze once again falling onto her kits, her eyes loving and warm.
---
Frostpaw smiled gratefully at her brother as he brought her the poppy seed. She was quick to eat it, knowing that if she didn't now, she would regret it later. She winced as the medication was placed on her wound, she could tell the difference of skill level between Duskpaw and Owlwing. Despite Owlwing's brash personality, he was rather graceful when it came to treating her. She tilted her head at Duskpaw's word, then nodded, blinking slowly. "Then I wouldn't mind eating out there." She told him, feeling that he was pushing her to do so. The she-cat did think that some time outside of the fox den would be good for her health.

Morningpaw nodded in agreement, “they sure will,” she mewed with a sweet smile while she watched the small kits. “Have you thought about names?“ she asked her curiosly. Surely she has, but Morningpaw was curious anyway.
—
Duskpaw smiled and helped the she-cat out of the den and helped her lay in front of the entrance, just so she didn’t feel like she was too far from the den. He grabbed the prey he had caught and laid in front of her, “would you like the shrew or the finch?” He asked her, he didn’t mind either way. But since she couldn’t hunt right now he could at least give her an option on prey.

Briarshine smiled and nodded. “Yes, we have.” She told the younger cat with a purr. She used her nose to point to each kit as she said their name. “Dewkit and Whitekit.” She introduced. Looking up at Morningpaw with a confident expression, proud of the two small bundles of fur that clung to her pelt. She gave each kit a quick lick on the head, cooing at them as they grew restless. She wrapped them again with her tail, causing them to seem to almost melt in relaxation at the new warmth. “They already want to wonder out of the nest.” She laughed quietly, shaking her head as she spoke.
——
Frostpaw released a small groan as she was moved, her body feeling stiff. When she was finally outside, she found the cool morning air pleasant on her pelt. She looked at the two pieces of prey. Duskpaw was getting better and better at hunting, it was comforting to know she was in his capable paws. “You always hunt finches.” She pointed out, wondering if it was his favourite. She pawed the bird closer to herself, it was smaller, and she didn’t require as much energy as he did. The she-cat then looked up at him. “Thank you. I’ll catch you all the fish you can eat when I’m better.” She told him with a purr, taking the chance to dig in. She was glad they had left the twoleg place when they did, who knows what would have happened if they hadn’t. Surely this fresh prey would be worlds better for her recovery than any of that rotten twoleg food or smelly rats.

Morningpaw let out a giggle, “cute names, and they’ll be running around before we know it then,” she joked. They were so little, she couldn’t believe she was once that little. Brairshine loved them so much, she could see it in the queens eyes. If only Azreal had loved her kits as much as Brairshine did, maybe her family wouldn’t have been torn apart. A piece of her made her believe that Azreal had something to do with Frostpaw’s injury. She shook the thoughts away, this wasn’t the time for feelings. “Let me know if you need anything,” Morningpaw smiled at Brairshine.
—
Duskpaw scoffed at Frostpaws response, “I bet you couldn’t tell,” he teased and dragged the shrew near him. “A finch was the first bird I caught, Oakpelt said we weren’t going back to camp until I caught a bird.” He let out a small laugh as he reflected on the memory, “now their everywhere I hunt, and they taste good.” He explained to her and began to eat his shrew. There were many shrews near the den, so he didn’t have to worry about straying far from Frostpaw. But he was slowly getting tired of them, and of course she has to bring up fish, my favorite. He looked up at her serious, “we have a deal.” He mewed and then gave her a smile before finishing his food.

Briarshine gave the she-cat a polite nod. “Thank you, Morningpaw.” She responded, her attention immediately returning to her kits once the silver tabby had left the den.
Owlwing was in the clearing when Morning exited the nursery, talking to one of the elders. When he noticed Morningpaw, he excused himself and walked over to her. “Are you ready to go?” He asked as he got closer. His twitching ear a tell tale sign that he was wanting to leave soon. He could not afford to not actually go to the moonstone this time, three trips in a row would make even the most faithful medicine cat look bad.
—- Frostpaw released a small chuckle at his words, glad to have gotten him excited. Part of her felt a little sad that he had missed out on the rest of his apprenticeship, but at the same time, she was glad the memories he had of the clan were happy ones. “Hopefully that will be soon.” She added between bites, though she soon offered to switch prey, noticing he didn’t seem to be enjoying the shrew. “You can have the finch if you prefer it. I just wanted to make sure you were eating enough.” She told him.

Morningpaw was startled by Owlwing, “uh yea.. where are we going?” She questioned him quietly trying to remember if he told her anything, and if he already told he would probably be mad that she didn’t remember. But she couldn’t think of anything he told her about going anywhere, so she shrugged her thoughts off and waited for his answer. She took a few steps towards the entrance indicating that she was ready to go.
——
Duskpaw shook his head, “no, this is fine.” He smiled and finished the shrew quickly. He began to bathe himself while enjoying the sun and the presence of his sister. It was peaceful where their den was, and he hoped everyday that this could be their life forever. He glanced up at her, “do you think it’s a good idea to get so comfortable here?” He asked her, there was a chance the poppy seed could kick in and she wouldn’t even know what he was talking about. Regardless he’ll probably get an interesting answer for his curiosity.

Owlwing blinked, confused for a moment. He thought for a second before realizing that due to his lack of sleep, he had completely forgotten to actually tell Morningpaw what they would be doing. He felt his ears grow hot from embarrassment at the realization. He cleared his throat, "I'm tired of being a mentor so we're going to the moonstone." He told her, his tone snarky as he recovered back to his usual state. "You're going to have to pull your weight now, you won't be my apprentice as of tomorrow morning, instead you will be my equal. So don't expect me to let you run off an play anymore." He added, this time a slight warmth to his face, he felt proud of how well she had done. Many medicine cats had to wait many moons more to earn their name, but her unwavering faith in the clans and determination had made her a clear exception. "Let's go." He added, turning towards the entrance.
----
Frostpaw continued to eat when he refused her offer, though she continued to watch and listen to him. She paused from eating at his question, her eyes staring down at her prey. She wanted to say what she knew he wanted to hear, confirmation that everything would be fine here, but she couldn't help but feel like something was bound to go wrong. "Azreal knows that we are here, so do those other cats, and Forestclan." She told him, trailing off for a moment. "I think that we should expect to have to leave at some point. Besides, if we stay here, we wouldn't accomplish much. You wanted to learn more about the mystery clan as well." She said, a yawn following soon after. "Maybe Owlwing knows something."

Morningpaw lit up at Owlwings reply, she was really getting her name now. The fact she was receiving her name early made her even more excited, but she hid it well and nodded at him. “Understood,” she mewed happily, knowing she had worked so hard for this moment. The things that should’ve brought her and Aspenheart down was made into strength. She trotted about a tail length away from Owlwing, “we can go across the river,” she mewed, assuming he would be bringing up the conversation soon since they were approaching the forest.
—
Duskpaw quit licking himself and looked up at Frostpaw confused, “old myth I thought?” He teased and gave her a smile. He suddenly became serious as he gazed at her, “but seriously, we should find out. Then maybe, this part of the forest could be ours. Or somewhere, we haven’t even explored the forest.” He mewed seriously but was slowly becoming excited. What if they could bring back the clan? Then it would be theirs, Duskpaws and Frostpaws. The thought was enough to have him convinced to at least try.

Owlwing nodded, continuing to walk with long strides as they left the island and disappeared into the forest. He was determined to make it to moonstone this time, so he was glad that they would bypass her siblings on their way there. They could always swing back through the woods, he was sure that they would be excited about her good news. "You're probably wondering about why I decided to have you named so early." He eventually said. Normally it would be a additional three or more moons before a medicine cat apprentice was to be named. "The first is that if I am to be helping Frostpaw, I will need you to stay on top of medicine cat duties, the second is that you never even thought of leaving the clan, the third is that you were already receiving visions, yet took them with stride. The final is that even when we were treating your sister, you behaved as a medicine cat. That is the most difficult thing to do."
-----
"I said it was story for kits. Besides, we're from Isletclan anyways, why care about a clan that probably never existed." She corrected, finishing the last of the finch, stretching out as much as her body would allow. She rested her head on her paws, feeling the effects of the poppy seed. "Don't you want to have a family at some point?" She asked, a curious expression on her face. "If we spend all of our time out here in the middle of nowhere, we will never find you a nice she-cat to settle down with." She told him, teasing slightly. "I've seen some pretty kitty pets." She added. This much was true, some of the kitty pets looked like they were completely different species. Even when compared to Silvermist, some looked like clouds with legs.

Morningpaw couldn’t help but smile at Owlwings reasoning to naming her early, pride swelling inside of her. She glanced over to him and dipped her head, “thank you,” she mewed and redirected her gaze to in front of her. She felt honored that the tom noticed all of those things about her, she had tried very hard to step up to his standards and expectations. “And what can I say, I was taught well.” She said with a smirk. She also never doubted her clan life, she never considered leaving, it wasn’t even a thought she allowed herself to think. She was happy, and could never leave Aspenheart or Silvermist.
——
Duskpaw gave her a look of surprise and started giggling, “do you want a kittypet mate?” He asked her and titled his head, wondering where she could’ve gotten that from. “But yes someday I want to have a family, don’t you? We can if we find some way to establish a clan- or something. They would need to be safe, and be able to take care of themselves,” he mewed, referring to her comment about a kittypet mate, kittypets can’t even hunt for themselves! But he thought of all the possibilities, how to make a safe place to live forever. They both established that they couldn’t stay here forever, but with the both of them they would figure it out.

Owlwing released a low, almost silent purr, glad that she was pleased with her training. He wouldn't be able to complete his duties while also travelling and caring for the two siblings. "Of course you were." He responded, not looking back as they walked. They continued to travel, it didn't seem like a long time, but sun high had already came and went, the sun no longer at it's highest peak. They were making good time, enough that the forest route would have been doable, but they were already at the crossing point for the river. "Be careful." He warned her, as he stepped into the flowing waters, managing to reach the other side with ease. He shook out his coat and sat down, watching her to make sure she crossed safely.
----
Frostpaw snorted at his response. "I don't think a kitty pet would be fond of me." He told him, knowing her personality could be off putting for some. She rested her head lazily on her head as she listened to him, enjoying the feeling of the sun on her pelt, its' warmth soothing her aching muscles. "Is that why you want to find out about that clan?" She asked, tilting her head, a bit confused. "We just left a clan but you want to make a brand new one?" She thought for a moment. "Wouldn't we just be rogues then?"

Morningpaw kept close behind Owlwing in the water, she was confident but it still had been a long time since she swam. But when she was a kit her and her siblings would play in the water all the time, practicing swimming so that they would be good at fishing. She reached the shore and pulled herself up, shaking off as much water as she could. “I feel like we are close? It’s been a while..” she trailed off as she looked around her to check her surroundings and see if she knew which way to go. But she couldn’t recognize where they were, so she waited for his direction.
——
Duskpaw rolled his eyes, “and you think a kittypet would be fond of me?” He mewed jokingly. He knew he had to look horrific with the wound going across his mouth, which he assumes will turn into a nasty scar. He then shrugged his shoulders and thought for a few moments before speaking, “I don’t know.. if we’re loners then we would never have a stable place to live.. or raise kits safely if we ever wanted. If we’re in a group we’re more protected from big predators and would have a stable place to live.” He let out a deep breath after explaining, feeling like he had never spoken so much at once. But it was all true and they both needed to think about it, they would benefit from a group.

Owlwing stepped forward to help the she-cat up, but backed off when he could see that she was fine. He nodded at her question, though the nod was very slight, making it clear that they were not as close as she was probably hoping. "Unfortunately, the island is quite far from the moonstone" He told her, starting to walk again. "Some think that it is a trial for us Isletclan cats, which shows our dedication to Starclan when we make this journey. There was a legend of a clan that lived right by the moon stone, but they grew to proud and disappeared." He added, imagining it in his head. It would have been nice to have just been able to go to moonstone whenever he pleased. The journey required planning and caution. The river was deep and the water was harsh, even for an Isletclan cat. He knew that several apprentices drowned while trying to cross. Luckily, Morningpaw was a stronger swimmer than he expected.
----
"Well you're a big tom with cool scars. I'm sure a lot of cats would consider you to be tough looking." She pointed out, knowing that there certainly was a bias when it came to such things. She remembered Silvermist being teased for looking so soft and delicate despite his skills as a warrior. She nodded as he brother spoke, understanding his point, it would be a lot safer in a group, that much was certain. "But we don't have a foundation or any connections. No one would want to form a group with two young cats that they don't know. Especially with how I am right now." She pointed out, her eyes were closed but she was still very invested in their conversation. She was trying to think of a solution for themselves, agreeing that the two of them by themselves would be trouble. She remembered their conversation about leaf-bare. Duskpaw had be dismissive then, but clearly the dog attack had made him realize how helpless they truly were.

Morningpaw nodded in interest, “interesting..” she mewed as she followed his footsteps. This part of the forest was very unfamiliar to her, so she was turning her back a lot more often. Paying extra attention to her surroundings, she felt as though she snapped her neck at every sound she heard. “So it’s just a legend? Like who knows if it’s really true type of legend?” She mewed in curiosity. She remember the stories she was told when she was a kit, but they seemed so vague. Unless she doesn’t remember it as well as she thought.
——
Duskpaw shrugged a bit in agreement, “that’s probably why that cat invited me to his rogue group. And now that she-cat keeps coming back,” he mewed irritatedly and looked away, thinking back to the black and white she-cat. But he looked back her interested again in their conversation, “well if some random rogue wants me in his group after meeting me once, I’m sure we’ll make some friends. Maybe could adventure the rest of the forest, of course when your better,” he suggested as if they were making plans. He wanted them to have a safe home one day, but they might as well take the time to be loners while they can.

Owlwing shrugged at her question, not sure on the answer. "It's that old nursery tale that Silvermist used to tell you. About the twolegs destroying a clan." He explained, his eyes remaining on the path ahead. "As far as I know, it's just a story." He added. He had never been told anything different. Surely if there ever was a third clan, it would be known. Starclan only ever mentioned Isletclan and Forestclan. "we are almost there." He told her, taking the chance to look back at the she-cat, sure that she was going to feel excited. "We should be arriving right at dusk." He added to give her a better idea.
----
Frostpaw nodded. "We will, I promise." she told him, looking around at the forest around them, it was already starting to get close to dusk. "I should probably move inside, Owlwing will have a fit if he shows up and I'm out and about." She told her brother, another yawn escaping. She knew it would be a long time before the medicine cat would arrive, but if she were to fall asleep, Duskpaw would probably not want to move her.

Morningpaw nodded as he spoke, “well then it is just a tale,” she mewed as she tried to find the sunset through the trees. She was so used the island where she could watch the sun rise and set as she liked to. One he announced they were close it felt like there were elephants in her stomach, she was so excited yet so nervous. The time was coming and she couldn’t be more ready, “then we must be close!” She mewed enthusiastically to him.
——
Duskpaw nodded and helped her into the den and into her nest. He decided to curl up next to her and sleep until Owlwing showed up, since he was up for a for long the night before. He slowly drifted into sleep with the comfort of his sister, thinking of all the things the two could do. What would it be? Would they be loners forever or what, he just wanted to find the answer.

There was no response from Owlwing this time. He simply continued walking for a while, his steps getting a little faster as they came closer to the moonstone. Soon that came to a ravine of stone. A path laid before them, splitting the massive, cliff-like rocks. Owlwing said nothing as he walked into the natural path, the sky now dark above them, stars not yet visible. He continued to walk for a while, the path gradually becoming wider over some time, until it opened to a circular space. A shallow pool of water surrounded a small island in the middle of the clearing, where the moon stone stood beneath the open sky. "Are you ready?" He asked, looking back to her, one of his paws already in the crystal clear pool, ready to walk across to the stone.

Morningpaw felt her paws begin to tingle as they approached the moonstone, anticipation growing in her belly. “More than ready!” She mewed behind him. She followed his steps across the stone, getting even closer to the moonstone. She stood next to him and gave him a hopeful smile, so many thoughts running through her head. She was excited for this moment, a very deserving moment for her. She worked hard and earned her position early than most and she couldn’t be more proud. She also wondered what Owilwing would be naming her, since he got to decide. But she was sure it would be something that fits, he has never let her down before.

Owlwing nodded and marched forward to the island. He sat for a moment and looked up at the sky, stars now starting to shine as the sky turned black. He turned to her for a moment, and quickly groomed her pelt, smoothing down any fur that was still sticking up from when they crossed the river. He gave her a look over, making sure she looked her best. It was an important moment for her, and himself as well. He waited a while longer, looking up to the sky. Soon the moon began to show, causing the moonstone to glimmer and shine with a brilliant light, causing Owlwing's pelt to look a silvery-white, his spots and stripes now nearly invisible. Owlwing looked to his apprentice and nodded, pressing his nod=se to the s=cold stone, his body not reacting to the sudden sensation.
(Assuming Morning paw presses against the stone)***
The two cats awoke, surrounded by generations of medicine cats. Some Owlwing knew from the past, some from generations far beyond his. He nodded to his ancestors, and glanced to Morningpaw before standing. "I, Owlwing, medicine cat of Isletclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help she will serve her Clan for many moons. Moringpaw," He turned to look to her, his amber eyes filled with pride, "do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"
