Morningstream stopped crying when Aspenheart nudged her, making her feel a bit better. “It’s okay, I am sorry though.” She mewed before looking up to the sky, they needed to get back to the camp as fast as they could. “Let’s just get back to camp as fast as we can, there’s herbs all over on the way,” she mewed before nudging him forward in the direction of the camp. When he didn’t go fast enough she picked up her pace and jumped in front of him, grabbing random herbs as she ran. Once they came to the end of the forest line she stopped and turned to him, “here,” she said, putting a few herbs on the ground in front of him, signaling with her tail to get going. “I’ll talk to Owlwing,” Morningstream added, not wanting the tom to say a word to Owling. He knew exactly where she was.
Duskpaw shook his head, “what’s the point? We really are going to be dirty rogues soon, we have no chance,” he said disappointedly. But quickly realized he didn’t really believe what he said, “I don’t mean that. I think I’m going to go to bed.” He mewed before disappearing into the den.

The dark tom stayed quiet for the rest of the journey, worried that if he said anything else, Morningstream would start crying again. He tried his best to be helpful when gathering herbs, but Morningstream was in a league of her own, seeming to be able to notice the tiniest plant. He took a deep breath when they reached the camp, "just say it was my fault if Owlwing gets mad at you." He told her as he leaned his head down to pick up the herbs. The bitter tastes made him almost gag. He didn't know how Morningstream could deal with this scent all of the time. Silently, he followed his sister in the camp, worried that they would run into Silvermist. His heart sank when they entered the medicine cat den where his father was talking to Owlwing.
"See," Owlwing snorted when the two camp in, motioning with his tail, "I told you that they were probably gathering herbs." He added, turning back to Silvermist as he spoke, "which, might I add, is a sign of how well I trained her. A medicine cat's job is never done."
Silvermist released a sigh of relief, ignoring Owlwings second comment, "thank Starclan." He whispered under his breath, looking at his two kits, worry still clear on his face. He had been sure that Owlwing was right, but part of him worried that Morningstream and Aspenheart had also left him, "never do that again. I was so worried." He told them, his fluffy tail wrapping tightly around his body.
----
Frostpaw nodded, "I think that would be good. I'll finishing eating then join you." She told him, taking another bite of the shrew. She had been hungrier than she had expected. She narrowed her eyes, recalling that she hadn't had the urge to eat all day. She couldn't help but worry that the anxiety of the rogue was now getting to her. She shook her head, she couldn't let that happen. She was always the calm, collected one with a plan. Right now, that was what Duskpaw needed her to be, "have a good night, Dusk."

Morningstream walked into the medicine den, finding Owlwing and Silvermist. She rubbed her pelt against her fathers as he spoke in a worried tone, “don’t worry father, shouldn’t we all get some sleep?” She asked him, she really just wanted to be alone. Too much had happened. What was supposed to be a good visit with all of her siblings turned for the worse quickly, and she just wanted to process it all. Morningstream grabbed the herbs from Aspenheart and put them on the shelf, “I’ll organize those as soon as I wake,”

(Time skip)
Frostpaw was the first to wake up. She stood up and looked down at her brother before glancing to the entrance of the den. It was dawn, she could see the faint golden light of the sun shining through the ferns. It will be her last dawn here in the fox set. Their only option other than joining the group was to run off, but they had nowhere to go. She signed then paws at her brother, "wake up, we have some time to kill before they come." She said gently, not wanting to surprise him awake, "might as well enjoy our last day as loners, before we become filthy rogues." She said with some humor in her voice, it was difficult to pin point, but she was sure Duskpaw was able to catch it. She exited the den, it was still rather dark out, the sun just barely visible, "we need to get used to our names now...Shadow."

Duskpaw grunted when Frostpaw woke him, he wasn’t ready to say goodbye to his comfy moss nest. He forced himself up and out of the den, following Frostpaw slowly as he woke up. “I already call you Frost,” he yawned. He grabbed a finch out of their fresh kill pile, and laid in front of the den to enjoy it. “Maybe we could go to that place we found the other day?” Duskpaw suggested to her. It gave him an uneasy feeling but he wanted to see it again and ask Frostpaw if she thought it looked like an old camp. It made Duskpaw believe that it has to do with the third clan, and he was determined to find out.

She released a small laugh, recalling that he wasn't the one that was likely to mess up, "maybe I should have picked a completely different name. Make it hard on you." She joked. She had no intention on changer who she was anymore than she absolutely had to. The group pf rogue knowing they were clan cats could cause an endless amount of issues, especially if they were keen on expanding their territory. The pale she-cat nodded, "sure, let's go now, we can hunt on our way." She suggested, maybe they could catch a nice vole or squirrel. With a flick of her small tail, she urged her brother to hurry up, already starting to walk towards the moon stone. Luckily, it wasn't too far, she suspected they would be back with enough time to spare. It was a relatively easy journey, no river or borders to cross so long as they paid attention.

Duskpaw jumped up and put the finch back in the pile, deciding to save it for later. He quickly followed Frostpaw, hoping they could find some good prey on the way. He tasted the air for any nearby prey, but could only smell shrews. He knew once they got further away from the fox set there would be better prey, he would never understand why so many shrews nested near them. Soon he could hear the scratching of squirrels up in the trees, and he was tempted to get his teeth on some squirrel. “Watch this, and before you freak out I’ve been practicing,” Duskpaw mewed before jumping up in the branches, pulling himself up a few tail lengths from the ground. One thing he has found out is he didn’t have to go up very high to find the squirrels, a lot of them stayed lower in the branches. Once he spotted a squirrel a few branches in front of him he began to jump from branch to branch, grabbed the squirrel by the neck before it could escape, giving it the killing bite. Duskpaw jumped down on the other side of Frostpaw and dropped the squirrel in front of her, “it’s not as hard as Oakpelt always made it out to be,” he teased.

Frostpaw tilted her head unsure of what her brother was up to, she simply nodded in response, giving him a skeptical look. Whatever, it was, she was sure it was something she should be worrying about, especially if he felt the need to warn her before hand. She eyed him carefully, sitting down as he walked towards the tree and climbing up to the higher branches. Her worry started to grow. As soon as he started jumping after the squirrel like her was mad, she stood up, her short tail fluffed up like a rabbit's, "Duskpaw, what in Starclan was that?" she called as the squirrel was dropped to her paw. How is a cat so huge able to jump around like that? What is he? Half-squirrel? She shook her head, "get down, you'll hurt yourself, flea-brain." She added, marching up to the tree like a queen about to scold her kits.

Duskpaw let out a chuckle, “you’re hilarious!” He jumped down from the branch and rubbed his pelt against hers, “I’ve been practicing hunting in the trees since you made me hunt alone,” he purred. He picked up the squirrel and signaled for her to join him as he laid down near one of the tree trunks. “Come share,” he mewed happily, ignoring the worry that Frostpaw was carrying. Oakpelt had shown him hunting in the trees one time, and he said to never do it because it was dangerous. But Duskpaw was always up for a challenge, and hunting in the trees gave him adrenaline.

"It's not funny!" She snapped back like a kit, feeling her pelt go hot from embarrassment. "You're so annoying. Worse than ticks. I would rather have ticks." She huffed quickly as she followed him. What did he expect her to do when he started swinging around in the tree branches like that? "You could have gotten hurt, then what? I'm not carrying you around if you hurt yourself. Got it?" She added, trying to sound stern but she was so flustered that it was difficult to sound as mature as she would like. He always used to pull pranks and cause trouble, and it seemed like he decided to go back to his old, annoying ways.

Duskpaw tried not to laugh, looking at her with a smirk on his face. It reminded him of when they were kits and he would always mess with her, pulling pranks and making her flustered. He missed seeing the look on her face, even though she was just worried about him. “Oh stop it!” He mewed playfully, “you won’t have to worry about me tree hunting again,” he reassured her after seeing the worry in her eyes. Frostpaw was smart, and he knew she analyzes everything to what if’s. What if he got hurt, what would she do? Well he knew she probably already came up with that solution. He began to eat the squirrel, signaling with his nose to her to eat.

Frostpaw rolled her eyes as she laid down beside him and started to eat her share of the squirrel, making sure to savor every last bite. Who knows when they would get to taste such fresh prey again, she would even miss the shrews that seemed to flood the fox set. She didn't want to be greedy, but she hoped that they would get a chance to hunt again on their way back. She glanced over to Duskpaw, licking her lips happily, "thank you." She purred, though she was still unimpressed with how he got the prey, she was still thankful for it. When they were finished, she stood up, ready to keep going. They wouldn't get a lot of time to stay at that strange place if they took too long of a break. She looked back to her brother, waiting to see if he was ready to keep moving. She wanted to see the water again, just one last time.

Duskpaw got up after her and kept her pace. As much as he wanted to keep quiet and enjoy the walk he was curious as to what their plan would be. Like he was just thinking about before, she’s the one always analyzing everything so maybe she already came up with a plan herself. “Do we have a plan? Or are we going to go be dirty rogues for the rest of our lives, and leave all of this?” He asked her curiously. He wanted to be in a clan, the third clan could be there if they just had a solid plan. But what kind of plan? What if StarClan never accepted them as a clan if they ever got that far? He shook his thoughts away, one thing at a time.

"Based on what Mara said, the rogue group seems unsteady. You will act as the main source of interest and I'll try to get information about our forgotten clan and the group. I think the best thing to do is be good little kits for Henry, then ruin the group from the inside. No group mean no cats to bother us. I suspect that it will be difficult for us to get out of the two-leg place otherwise." She explained, her tone rather cold as she talked about potentially ruining the lives of many cats. However, as far as she saw it, the cats were the ones who started it. They made it clear that they were never going to stop, having Mara and sometimes other members show up every single day as a reminder. She looked to Duskpaw, "I know it seems drastic, but I don't think they will ever stop otherwise. Who knows, maybe we will be doing some cats a favor. Mara didn't seem to like her life there- I'm sure there's others who feel the same."

Duskpaw nodded at Frostpaw as she spoke, impressed by her like always. “I knew you’ve thought this through,” he mewed in relief. “Sounds like a good plan, you always impress me!” He mewed a nudged her a bit with his shoulder. He began to put more thought into it, but they were approaching the moonstone and he could see the water. The sun was beginning to rise and the air felt nice on his pelt, he closed his eyes and tasted the air. He didn’t want to miss a second of this, in case things didn’t go the way they pictured, he needed one last good moment here. They kept on their journey and passed the moonstone, “I know things will work out someway, we’re clan cats just like Aspenheart said.”

Unlike Aspenheart, who would have puffed up his chest and held his head high at the compliment, Frostpaw kept her eyes forward, only a flick of her ear indicating her appreciation. "Of course I did, I told you I would think of a plan when this first happened." She responded calmly, though if Duskpaw looked closes, he would be able to see a small smile forming at the corners of her mouth. She was determined for this to work, though unfortunately, the plan was not a solid one, just a fluid baseline. They would have to adapt to the situation and may need to change their plan if the group was different than expected. For all she knew, Mara could have been the only one dissatisfied with Henry's leadership. That would cause her whole plan to be irrelevant, "I'm worried that we may not get a chance to discuss in private a lot." She said, her pace picking up as they passed the moonstone, the scent of water filling her lungs. It smelled like home, "we will have to find other ways to communicate. If they plan needs to change, we will need to let the other know."

Duskpaw focused back onto the path as they reached the slope, “that’s what I’ve been worried about.” He had thought about it for days, they wouldn’t be able to talk about them or their real lives at all. “We’re always going to have a rogue breathing down on our pelt, I wouldn’t be surprised if we were being watched,” he joked and forced a laugh, now contemplating the chanced of them being watched. But he got distracted as they made it up the slope to the camp looking place, it was so interesting and the view of the water was amazing.

"We could use tail signs." Frostpaw responded sarcastically as she walked past the odd camp, sitting down at the bluff, looking over the water in front of them. She took in a deep breath, wanting to cherish the scent that filled the air, it reminded her so much of Isletclan that it made her heart ache. "We will come back here one day." She said quietly, feeling a tinge of sadness at the thought of going back to that two-leg place; perhaps some fear as well, but she kept that to herself. She knew Duskpaw would worry none stop if she said anything, "we can bring Aspenheart, Morningstream, father and even Owlwing and Redclaw." She purred.

Duskpaw nodded, “something like that,” he mewed and looked out onto the water for a moment. He nodded happily as Frostpaws words, “yes we will! No matter what it takes,” he purred and pressed against her. Nothing would get in there way, this was their destiny he had decided. He then trotted over to the rock he had seen the last time they came, it looked like the rock at the gathering place just smaller. He jumped onto the rock and faced Frostpaw, “this place had to of been a camp!”

She turned and looked back to him, seeing him jumping around like a kit. She decided to not say anything that would ruin this moment for him, feeling that it will be his last chance to feel completely happy and free for a while. She stood up and made her way over to where Duskpaw stood, taking a chance to look around the area. She could see what he was talking about, there were certainly areas that seemed to be dens. She looked back to the black tom, "but the clan was at the twoleg place- that's how the story goes." She pointed out, still sure that this was just some rogue camp. Owlwing had confirmed that her vague recall of the story was the base of the tale- though some cats would add more details to make it more exciting.

Duskpaw shook his head, trying to remember more of the stories he was told as a kit. There had to be something that had to do with this camp, it was clear that it was something. It just felt right too, like deja vu to him. He had seen it before, but where? “Didn’t he mention that it had to do with the moonstone though?” He asked, as he glanced around. This could be their’s one day, he could feel it. “Besides that how do we even convince StarClan to let us make a third clan?”

Frostpaw shrugged, she was no medicine cat. She believed in Starclan, and thanked them, but she had no closer a connection to them than any other clan cat, "I'm sorry, I'm not sure." She admitted, wishing she could tell him, but there was nothing to tell. She looked around a little more, "maybe they would give a sign. They told Morningstream about us leaving, maybe it wasn't a warning?" She suggested, not thinking much of the idea, it was just her speaking her mind without filtering her thoughts. She looked up at the large rock, she could see why he was so interested in this place, she could picture a leader making announcements up there. "We will have to deal with the rogues first anyways, no reason to worry about a river we can't even cross."

Duskpaw jumped down from the rock, “you’re right,” he mewed and began to walk around the camp. There was no new scents or any sign of any cats or animals staying here. “Maybe StarClan wants us on this path to rekindle the third clan,” he replied to her suggestion, it would make sense since they were sending Morningstream signs. They we clearly going the right direction. He kept walking and made his way back to Frostpaw, “we just need to take it one day at a time.”

"Perhaps." She said, not fully agreeing, but she was sure stranger thing have happened. She continued to look around the camp, noticing all the small details that show how used everything had been before it seemed to be suddenly abandoned. Paths were worn from years of use, even some remains of a spot for sharing tongues could be seen in the worn down stones. "Why are you so interested in this place?" She eventually asked. Now that she thought about it, it was odd to even think of go past the moonstone. Many cats went there, but she had never heard a single word of a place like this.

Duskpaw sort of shrugged but titled his head to the side before speaking, “well it reminds me of a dream I had.. it looked exactly like this.” He mewed and looked around the camp again, taking in each and every detail. “It’s like I’ve been here before, I don’t remember the full extent of the dream though. It was a while ago,” he mewed and looked at her. “It means something,” he suggested.
Mara had a perfect view of the siblings as she sat at the base of a large tree on its trunk, Brick was somewhere nearby but she didn’t pay attention. She fixed her paws and accidentally slipped, falling off of the tree trunk and making a loud crunch as she fell onto the crunchy undergrowth. She quickly stood up with her ears back, surely Brick would be coming around the tree to yell at her.

Frostpaw nodded as her brother spoke, keeping note of everything he said. It was odd, this place was nothing like anywhere else they had been. She was about to ask for clearification when she heard a sudden noise. She nearly jumped out of her pelt but relaxed when she saw it was just Mara. She sat down and faced the she-cat, glancing quickly to the red tom that also emerged from behind some undergrowth. He hissed under her breath. They had agreed to go tonight at dusk, but she clearly expected too much of the group, "you were following us." She stated accusingly, finding herself having a hard time hiding her anger.
The red tom spoke first, "we assumed that you two were running off. So we followed you. We wouldn't want you two to run into any trouble." He responded, though there was clearly an underlining threat in his words.
Frostpaw- no, Frost, forced herself to relax, keeping in mind what the plan was. She couldn't ruin it. It would be difficult for...Shadow, to get information. She was small and relatively unthreatening. She needed to keep that image no matter what. She dipped her head, "I see, I'm sorry. I sounded harsh."

Shadow stayed next to Frost, recognizing the red tom from the day Henry came to the fox set. His eyes made it to Mara who, looked guilty from making so much noise. “Right, but I though we agreed on going to the twoleg place at Dusk?” He asked for clarification. Making sure to not sound rude but stern enough to be taken seriously.
Mara sighed once they all began to speak, she clearly made a mistake from being so clumsy. But they siblings where completely right, they weren’t supposed to go escort them until dusk. But she blamed Brick for it so she didn’t say a word, hoping to force the red tom to answer their question.

"Yes, we did. So you could imagine our surprise when you two seemed to have ran off in a hurry." The red tom countered quickly, taking a step forward. "We wanted to check to see if your sister was even well enough to make the journey." The tom took a moment to look Frost over, "clearly we were worrying for nothing. Nonetheless, perhaps since we are all here, we can help you two make it back to your den. Or better yet, we can go straight to our camp." Brick suggested, though his tone made it clear that the two siblings had no real choice, "well then, let's start walking now. My father was anxious about you two, I'm sure he will feel more at ease when he finally sees that you are safe and sound with us. I'll take the rear."
Frost glanced to her brother and nodded, feeling it would be for the best if they just did as the tom said. He spoke politely, but there was no doubt that his words contained threats. Threats that he seemed more than happy to act upon. "Well, brother, let's go." She said as she stood up and walked towards the two cats, not giving the water another glance, despite how badly she wanted to. She wanted that view to be a happy one.

Shadow nodded and looked at Frost, “alright,” he mewed and walked close to her. He didn’t want to admit it but he already didn’t like Brick, and as the looks of it the rest of the group is probably the same. But he would be better off watching Bricks kind of behavior and mimicking it, he already looked the part he just had to act the part now. Plus he had a sister to protect, even if Apsenheart doubted him he wouldn’t let him down anymore. He let out a sigh when he realized how long the walk would be, but at least it meant more time in the woods.

It was just past sun high when they arrived at the twoleg place, Frost's paw pad felt sore on the harsh ground. The walking would have been fine if they were going somewhere with lush grass and soft dirt, but all the hard thunder path did was irritate her. She kept a close eye on Mara, and used the reflections around her to look at Brick. She almost jumped when the red tom was suddenly beside her.
"Do you need a break?" He asked, irritated though he tried to not show it. He expected the unnamed black tom to not tolerate any rudeness towards the small she-cat.
Frost did not look at him, instead focusing on what was in front of her, "no, I'm fine. Thank you." She responded quickly, taking a breath of relief when the strange cat fell back behind the group. She hadn't expected herself to become so scared from another cat. Maybe it was because everyone in Isletclan was so friendly, or that the only rogue they had to deal with was Foxspots, but unlike Mara, Brick made her skin crawl. She couldn't but think that it may be due to how manipulative he was, something Azreal was known for. She looked up when she noticed strange cats looking down at them from various places. They were here. She looked around from Henry, but could not see him, though more and more cats gathered around as they were lead further forward. Eventually, they reached the end of the alley, and there sat Henry.
"I'm glad to see you both so soon." The white and silver cat purred, jumping down from where he once stood, circling around the siblings. He was clearly pleased, nodding to himself as he inspected them. "You both look well, I'm glad." He purred, going back to the front, shooing away Mara to go over by Brick, behind the siblings.
