How would you rank the book on a scale of 1-5? Also, how is Sparkpelt portrayed in this book? And any signs of anyone joining the elder's den soon? No signs of anyone joining the elders den. This has nothing to do with what you asked, but when Kinkfur died Crowfrost mentioned that she had Dewkit waiting for her in StarClan. At least it's confirmed that she's dead.
Anyways, Sparkpelt wasn't seen that much in the book. She saved Twigkit from drowning, took her assessment right after and then became a warrior. When she got her warrior name, Graystripe told Millie that he thought Bramblestar would've named her Sparkfire.
It was mentioned that she had performed brilliantly during her assessment. Catching a pigeon and two mice and outwitting Cherryfall in a mock fight with a battle move she's though up herself.
I'm not good at rating stuff. Is 5 the best? If that's the case I'd go 4-5. I really liked it, though that doesn't mean everyone will.

Near the end of the book him and his rogues just stroll right into the camp and ShadowClan joins them because they don't want to go to the gathering anymore, and they would choose Darktail over Rowanstar anytime. Rowanstar still believes they'll come back once they realize their mistake. |

Oh, yeah, that reminds me Crowfrost stated that Kinkfur was a loyal ShadowClan cat for many moons before he was born. So I looked it up, and it seems they actually debuted in the same book, which was Eclipse. It was the first time either of them were in the allegiances.

What the heck!? Well, so much for loyalty. ShadowClan is my least favorite Clan again. Why do they join him, though? What exactly does ShadowClan have against their own leader? Puddleshine was shown to be very kind and helpful. I like him. Leafpool also stated that he's a quick learner. Though Puddleshine wanted to be a warrior like his littermates at first before Rowanstar told him that he's going to be a medicine cat. |

The apprentices that were introduced in TAQ are rude and many of the young warriors aren't very nice either. I liked Crowfrost and was sad when he died. He was definitely a reasonable leader figure though many of ShC didn't think so. They didn't want him as leader. Grassheart's kits seem nice as well. I liked Dawnpelt, and I feel really bad for her. I also really liked Tawnypelt.
Anyways, I'm not answering any more questions tonight. Night! I'm going to bed.

Thanks, Faith!  Does anyone become an apprentice in this book? Anymore FernxIvy moments? Twigpaw and Violetpaw both become apprentices. Twigpaw's mentor is Ivypool and Violetpaw's mentor is Dawnpelt. RiverClan is shown with two new apprentices in the second to last chapter at the Gathering. No clue who the parents are, but these two are stated to be littermates. Wavepaw and Cypresspaw. RiverClan also has Nightpaw and Breezepaw. WindClan has Brindlepaw. I didn't see Smokekit. ThunderClan also has Honeypaw, Larkpaw and Leafpaw. And ShadowClan has Birchpaw, Lionpaw, Flowerpaw, Snakepaw and Whorlpaw. Like I said, Slatekit vanished from the story. And Puddlekit is Puddleshine.
Also, is it wrong that I laughed out loud at Whorlpaw and Cypresspaw's names? Lol!
At one point, Twigpaw decides to go look for her mother with Ivypool. Squirrelflight tells Fernsong to go as well. And Alderpaw also goes.
Ivypool and Fernsong do tease each other a little before they leave. Really, there were more hints of NeedlexRain then there were of IvyxFern.
I think those two are named after BlogClan members. Whorlpelt is a good friend of mine. Ha! I'll tell him this. |

I have no clue for how long it's been going on, but chapter 4 implied she had meeting with them for a while. This is from chapter 10:
"I'm sick of living in a Clan that only cares about peace. The rogues would have made us strong. But if you don't want them to join us, I'm going to join them!"
Sleekpaw and Juniperpaw go with her. And they take Violetkit with them. Though she runs off to join ShadowClan again. At the end of the book, she's with the rogues once more.
Needletail is a traitor. She's back to my dislike list. So Needletail forced Violetkit/paw to join the rogues? |

What StarClan cats are mentioned? Do any certain black cats with green eyes appear or are mentioned? There was the mysterious tom in the prologue who is hinted to be Clear Sky/Skystar.
Puddleshine was visited by Runningnose. And Crowfrost mentioned Dewkit, Kinkfur's daughter.
Alderpaw was visited by Yellowfang who congratulated him for speaking up. She told him to speak up for what he believes. This ends up getting him his full medicine cat name.
No, Hollyleaf sadly didn't appear.

She gulped it down, struggling to fill her lungs and coughing helplessly. The teeth held onto her scruff, dragging her until she felt pebbles brush her paws. She let herself be hauled, helpless, onto the shore. "You saved me," she mewed weakly. Her mother had come back! She rescued me! Dazed, Twigkit coughed up water from her lungs and belched it from her belly.
"Twigkit?" A ginger she-cat was leaning over her, eyes flashing with fear. "Are you okay?"
Twigkit blinked in surprise. "Sparkpaw?" Disappointment jabbed her chest. It wasn't my mother. Fighting grief, she let her thoughts clear. Of course it wasn't her mother. I'm a mouse-brain! What would her mother be doing here, beside the lake? She struggled to her paws, forcing a purr. "You saved me, Sparkpaw! Thank you!" Coughing, she collapsed.

Jayfeather lifted his chin. "Let's begin."
Alderpaw faced him, excitement surging beneath his pelt. He was going to receive his medicine cat name at last!
"I, Jayfeather, medicine cat of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help he will serve his Clan for many moons." Jayfeather stared at Alderpaw. His blue gaze was so intense that Alderpaw felt as if the blind cat were looking straight into his thoughts. His paws felt hot against the chilly stone.
"Alderpaw has always had a natural connection with StarClan," Jayfeather went on. "You chose him, and you chose well. He is loyal, determined, and smart. He has compassion and strength, a rare combination. He will serve his Clan well."
Alderpaw's pelt pricked with surprise. Jayfeather was complimenting him! He could feel the gazes of the others burning his fur. Self-consciously he shifted his paws and straightened his spine. I must behave like a medicine cat!
Jayfeather went on. "Do you, Alderpaw, promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"
Alderpaw blinked at him, his mouth dry. "I do."
"Then, by the powers of StarClan, I give you your true name as a medicine cat. Alderpaw, from this moment you will be known as Alderheart. StarClan honors your devotion and kindness, and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of ThunderClan." Jayfeather stepped forward on Alderpaw's head. "Well done," he breathed softly.

What's your opinion on RainxNeedle and FernxIvy? I think both parings are cute. Though, like I said earlier, we see more of NeedlexRain then of IvyxFern.
Needletail and Rain are often seen together and is hinted to have become mates by the end of the book. I bet people will be happy she doesn't get together with Alderheart. Lol!
