Shame Needletail ends up joining the enemy, but it does make her character more interesting. Why does she end up meeting with them, though? Also, how does the book end? It doesn't say why. Maybe her feelings for Rain? Who knows!
The book ends with Alderpaw becoming Alderheart and having a dream with the same prophecy in it. His dream also shows five-pointed leaves. 5 points, 5 Clans.
The last sentence was:
We need to find SkyClan!

This is why I feel really bad for Dawnpelt. Her mate died and it was either join her parents and brother, or join her kits. Both Sleekwhisker and Juniperclaw managed to convince her and Strikestone to stay with them.
The rest of ShadowClan is still in their territory as well. Only Rowanstar, Tawnypelt and Tigerheart left. One of the ShC cats (I don't remember who at the moment) told them if they go to the gathering, they can never come back.
Oh ok, so Dark Tail took over basically all of ShadowClan and is now ruling them in their territory? And what do they mean by the whole gathering thing? Have ShC basically disowned Rowanstar and Tigerheart and are now loyal to Darktail? And blw thank you for answering our questions C: Yep, and you're welcome. c:
The rogues came on the night of the gathering. Rowanstar was picking which cats would go, but some refused to go. They didn't want to be around the other Clans. Rowanstar was willing to fight for his Clan, but only Tigerheart and Tawnypelt were willing to fight with him. One of the cats even called Rowanstar weak.

What about the relationship between Jay and Alder? Oh, y'know. Jayfeather is just being his snappy, grumpy self. Though somehow Alderpaw knew he had fallen in the lake when he was younger. Though according to Alderpaw, he was a kit...Alderpaw only told Twigkit that because she had fallen into the lake as well. Sparkpaw saves her. Next chapter? Sparkpaw gets her warrior name.
Jay and Alder gets along pretty well. Jayfeather is pretty proud of Alderpaw when it's time for him to finally get his warrior name.

So did BrambleStar loose a life? Nope. Just Onestar and Rowanstar. I think Rowanstar lost a life anyways since it was heavily implied.

Okay, how is Rowanstar portrayed in this book? Rowanstar definitely doesn't like how the apprentice's are acting. It's even noted that they eat the prey they catch instead of bringing it to the Clan. He punishes Needlepaw by making her look after the elders after she makes a scene. I remember one of the apprentices telling Rowanstar that he should treat them with respect. I guess he had enough. And when some of the cats left, he clung to faith that they would realize their mistake and return. In the end Rowanstar grew very ill, along with some other cats. And the only herb was on the moor. But Onestar wouldn't let them have it because he blamed ShadowClan for Furzepelt's death. He believed they deserved this.
They only reason Rowanstar and the other cats who caught the illness got better was because Harespring decided to go against his leader and give Puddleshine the herbs he needed. He even told Kestrelflight that this was alright. Onestar was pretty angry when he found this out.

I knew there was good in Harespring! So glad he seems to be better than Onestar at least. I pity Rowanstar, though. I guess with the Clan having so many apprentices, they're bound to act out of line, but really! How many moons does the book cover?

I wasn't really fond of Harespring at first, but I like him more now.

Eh...Grassheart's kits became apprentices in this book. So more then 6 moons. There were a lot of new warriors and quite a few new apprentices. Though in that case, Lakeheart's kits should be apprentices by now. The end of the book showed Wavepaw and Cypresspaw as new RC apprentices. And I don't even know where they came from. All I know is that they are littermates. Speaking of which Wavepaw is a tom and Cypresspaw is a she-cat.

What happens to Violetpaw and Dawnpelt? They stayed in ShadowClan's camp. In fact, Violetpaw seemed angry to see Twigpaw when her sister came to see if she was alright. She said that Needletail could get into trouble. In the end Needletail actually attacked Twigpaw to get her to leave. Luckily Ivypool was there as well.

I wonder why Onestar blames ShadowClan, I don't recall them having anything to do with the battle that killed Furzepelt, though. I'm glad we're getting a lot of deaths, though.

No! ;-; I guess she's gotten some of Needletail's attitude.. Is it sad I hope Needletail dies or gets banished for good when the arc is over?
