"may the stars forever light your path," Oakwhisper turned her head away from darkblaze to check on the cats fighting the bear, pushing aside her feelings of sorrow about losing a clanmate under circumstances that could have been avoided if she had kept up with cloudpaw. "please starclan, don't let any of the others share his fate." Oakwhisper murmured under her breath once more, she feared leaving darkblaze's body here unguarded with the bear still near and didn't move back to aspenwhisker and cloudpaw right away.

Redpaw's amber eyes glanced between the three elders, usually moving to whoever was speaking at the time. "why would the clan want you kicked out? i mean, a kit can't be blamed for their parents uh- mistakes." Redpaw questioned pausing as he tried to think of a better word, but settled for 'mistakes' when he couldn't think of one. |

The large black tom refused to let go of the bear, ready to tear the throat apart. Dustleap, however, was bleeding heavily on the ground. He was hit by the bear's claws. The claws had raked his left side, and his organs were nearly falling out from the gashes. He was still alive though. His vitality was much stronger than the older Darkblaze. Although he couldn't move, Dustleap was still awake, glaring at the bear despite the pain. Elders (Pearl )

"Hawkshade and Whiteflower got to know each other, and fell in love. Hawkshade wanted to end things peacefully with Redsong, but the she-cat refused. She swore she would make Sweetclan pay. Moons flew by, and there was no sign of Redsong," Whitefeather meows in thought.
"That's when we were born," Owlsong sighs. "We were only one moon old when Redsong returned. She had heard the news that Whiteflower had given birth to Hawkshade's kits and came back for revenge. She was now the leader of a group of rogues. Her deputy happened to be the mate of another of Sweetclan's cats Jasmineleaf. He had taken two of their four kits, Ash and Aspen. Both were daughters, leaving the two sons, Blackshadow and Shadowtalon with their mother."
"Because the whole war started due to Hawkshade and Whiteflower getting together, some of the clan felt that our family should have been kicked out. Sugarstar refused though, saying it was her decsion to tell Hawkshade about his destined mate, breaking apart an already mated couple, so she's just as guilty as Hawkshade and Whiteflower." |

Oakwhisper made her way back to aspenwhisker and cloudpaw, blackice needed help and oakwhisper did as well if she was to help cloudpaw and dustleap heal. Worry was pricking at her pelt and shining in her dark yellow eyes as she careful made her way across the open field, trying to stay out of the bear's sight and interest. when she made it back to aspenwhisker, she spoke urgently. "Aspenwhisker, we need help from the clan. i fear blackice can't fight the bear alone or scare it off, no matter how fierce he may be." Oakwhisper looked back over to dustleap. "im going to need help as well with cloudpaw and dustleap, hopefully not blackice..." she shook her head because at this rate blackice may get hurt as well, she then added one last thing before she began to make her way over to dustleap. "what i mean is, aspenwhisker, please go get help."

It seems in her rage, Redsong was manipulated by a rogue named Ripple. Ripple tried to get Redsong to destroy the clan simply because he loved death and blood.," Owlsong explains.
"Another tom had come to Sweetclan after Redsong had left that time. His name was Windwhisper, and as soon as Sugarstar saw him, she knew he was Redsong's destined," Whitefeather adds.
"In the end, Windwhisper was able to bring Redsong back to her senses, and the two left the clan to find a home for themselves. Redsong couldn't stay in the clan after all that she had done. There was too much bad blood," Stormheart finishes.
"I guess Redsong and Windwhisper would be dead by now though. We're already at the end of our lifespan, which means their children will be elders too," Owlsong siighs.
"I would like to have met them at least once," Whitefeather meows softly.
"Maybe their descendants will visit Sweetclan when we're gone. We're the last few that remainn from those times that remember Redsong and Windwhisper. I'm sure the clan will welcome them if they do come," Stormheart smiles. |

He crashes to the ground, cracking a rib. Blackice hisses in pain, trying to shake it off quickly. His age was catching up though, as he couldn't shake it off as quickly as he used to. He truly was getting older now, and he only started to realise it.

By the time they reached the bear, it was ready to hit Blackice on his spine. Mottlebreeze immediately leaps for the bear's open throat. Blackice did a really good job at ripping the bear's pelt off at the throat. Although Blackice was unable to complately tear the throat out, it was a clear path for Mottlebreeze to attack. The much smaller tom snapped at the bear's throat, immediately severing the bear's jugular vein. Molewhisker stops beside Blackice.
"Blackice, are you alright?" he asks his father.
"I'm fine, Molewhisker. Help Mottlebreeze," the large tom grumbles. |

Oakwhisper was glad to see help arrive followed by aspenwhisker, still she needed to find something to stop dustleaps bleeding before he lost to much blood. she didn't expect to find any cobwebs here, but she would look anyway. she felt there was another herb or two used to help stop bleeding she just couldn't think of them in the current moment. she looked at the bear and mottlewhisker, she guessed or really hoped the bear wouldn't stick around much longer, given how many cats had fought it already. "i need to find something to help stop your bleeding before you lose to much blood," oakwshisper informed dustleap glancing at aspenwhisker briefly, before heading to look in the meadow away from the bear and fighting cats to look for cobwebs, even a little bit would be helpful. |

Mottlebreeze bit the bear's jugular in one go. Once he pulls away, the bear will be down within seconds." Just as Molewhisker described, Mottlebreeze ripped the bear's jugular, pulling away and landing neatly on his paws. The bear couldn't even roar one last time, before falling to the ground.
Molewhisker hears Oakwhisper's chatter about Dustleap, and immediately pulls away from his father. "Mottlebreeze! We need to stop Dustleap's bleeding!" The small, bloody tom looks his littermate's way.
"How badly hurt is Dustleap?" he asks Molewhisker, still looking at the light brown tom.
"He's bleeding out," Molewhisker meows, a little snappish. He didn't want his sister's mate to die so soon. The two toms go searching for anything to stop the bleeding. |
