SweetclanIntroductionTrudging through the mountains, you can't see anything but snow. It's wet, slippery, and dangerous. You dispair, yet feel determined at the same time. One small mistep, and you plunge to your death. The sun is high in the sky, and you can tell you're nearly at the peak. Hours you walk, until you hit that peak.
You collapse at the top, you strength sapped now that you're safe. You pull yourself until you can see the other side of the mountain. Looking down, you see a large basin.
In the centre, there is a large lake. It's blue, and absolutely beautiful. On the opposite side to you, is a large waterfall, flowing down the mountain range, feeding into the lake.
To the left is a large green forest, full of lush life. To the right, is a rather rocky area, full of caves. It ends near the lake. You can see cats moving up and down, entering the caves.
Right below you, is a large field of flowers and grass, with a single tree in the middle. You've arrived. You've found Sweetclan. AboutWelcome to Sweetclan. This is a clan from the original forums, created by my friend Starspirit1. I had remade it on the original forums when she was banned, then again here. Unfortunately, I went MIA for a few years. I'm back now, and am remaking the clan.
Sweetclan, is a cat matcher. Each cat will have a destined mate that is randomly generated. On the joining form, you will be able to determine your cat's preferences (tom x she-cat {ts}, tom x tom {tt}, she-cat x she-cat {ss}). Randomly generating the matches will end up with a lot of drama due to personality clashes, but that's what makes things fun, right? These cats will know when they become senior apprentices.
Tom x tom matches and she-cat x she-cat matches will also be able to have kits if they successfully end up as mates, but this is only if they were destined mates to begin with. Rules for this will be in the rule section below.

If you have something on, and you won't be on for more than two weeks, please tell the owner or a mod. (R)#6 Literacy You must be literate. This means grammar, spelling and punctuation. It means full sentences. Now, I won't limit the amount of sentences you can type, but the minimum is four per post.#7 Godmodding Do not say things like "your cat is the best hunter". Show how good they are at hunting through your Rping, but do know, that even the best miss at times.
Also, don't overpower every opponent you fight. There is always a give and a take. When Rping battle scenes, add your character's thought process. Don't just say "such and such raked so and so in the face to distract him, then rammed into his shoulder. She presses him down, and aims for his throat". Give your opponent time to show their battle strategy.
Godmodding and spotlighting are boring and annoying in Rp's. Just don't do it. (A)
#8 Joining Please provide details when writing up your joining form. We want to be able to picture your cat. When joining, please check the list of prefixes. Only two cats can have the same prefix.
#9 The Books For the purposes of this Rp, the books don't exist. I don't mind what you name your cat, as long as it abides by the guidelines and terminology.
#10 Characters Please do not creat a Mary Sue / Gary Stue. It will not be accepted. Give your character some strengths, but also give it weaknesses. Give them some flaws. If you're having troubles, use this generator:
#11 Realism Please make your cat as realistic as possible. Now, I don't mind it if you, for example, provide a white cat with red dapples or stripes. That's totally fine. But please don't give your cat weird colourings, like a purple pelt.
Pale blue eyed cats tend to be deaf.
Red eyed cats are albino. Show it.
If your cat is blind, add red (has to be really red) in the tissues of your cat's eye, or turn your cat's eyes cloudy / milky. (P)
#12 LGBT + It is allowed in this Rp. You can allocate what preference your cat has, but please keep it simple (hetero or same sex).
Cats with a preference for the same sex will be able to have kits, but only with their destined mates. Same sex mates that are not destined mates will not have this luxury. They can have a surrogacy/donor if they wish, but you must ask first. (E)
#13 Clan Positions The Clan Leader will be Rped by the owner or mod. It will begin with the owner, and when this one dies, the next Clan Leader will belong to a Mod.
The Deputy position will also belong to the first Mod. When the Deputy becomes Clan Leader, the next Deputy will belong to the second Mod, then back to the owner.
There will only be 3 medicine cats and 3 medicine cat apprentices.
#14 Queens and Kits You can join as a kit, but the kit will need a parent / guardian. Please ask if you want to become the kit of a character. If you want to join as an external kit, please ask who Rp's the character you want as the surrogate mother.
Queens who wish to stay long-term in the Queen den must have had at least 2 litters or a disability. (A)#15 Character Ratios You must join with 2 characters. One male and one female. Apart from that, if you want to Rp more, you must stick to the 50 / 50 ratio of males and females.#16 Role Playing I will provide an Rp post layout. You can customise it, but please stick to the general layout. When using colours, please use colours where you can read the text. (R)#17 Rp Times Everyone will Rp on the same days at the same times. One day can last a week, but in that day, all apprentices must have had at least 1 battle session or 1 hunting session. Each cat must also interact with at least 5 cats. That's when a day will end.
There will not be any time-skips for certain cats. If a time-skip is to happen, it will be for the whole clan, and will not go more than 1 moon.
You must keep watch of your own cat's age. If it's time for the cat to become a senior apprentice, warrior, senior warrior or elder, please tell the owner or the mods.
#18 Plots Now, there was a plot for Sweetclan, but it didn't go so well. Therefore, there will not be any plots. If you have an idea for a plot though, talk it through with everyone. Territory
The territory is within a large basin, mountain ranges on all sides. Apart from entering through the mountains, there is a small passage leading out of the basin where the forest lay. In the centre of the basin, is a large lake. To the North is a large waterfall. To the South is a field with one tree standing in the centre. To the East is the forest. To the West is where the camp is located, in the caves in the mountain.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Spring Lake Spring Lake is in the centre of the basin. It is a stunning blue, filled with the clean mountain water flowing from the waterfall. The lake is full of wildlife. The lake will freeze during leaf-bare, and flood during greenleaf.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Snowy Waterfall The Snowy Waterfall is to the North of the basin. Flowing down the waterfall, is the snow that has melted. It will freeze over in leaf-bare, and flood the lake during greenleaf.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tall Forest
The Tall Forest is to the East of the basin. The trees are extremely tall, and very few cats can climb them. The forest is green most times of year (even leaf-bare), though the leaves do sometimes change colour. There is a path to the far East of the forest, leading outside the basin. The Tall Forest is teeming with life, but also predators. Beware.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Love Fields The Love Fields are to the South of the Basin. This is an area where predators and visitors can come down from the mountain range. It is a field full of flowers and grass. In the centre of the field, is a large tree.The Matching Tree The Matching Tree is in the centre of the Love Fields. Here is where The Matching is held.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Camp The Camp is to the West of the basin. In the West, there is a rather steep incline, before slowly filling out towards the bottom. This area is much closer to Spring Lake. It is very rocky. There are pathways up and down the incline, only reaching half-way, and caves.Leader's Cave The Leader's Cave is where the Clan Leader resides. It is in the top-most cave that the pathways can reach. There is a relatively generous ledge where the Clan Leader can watch the members from. The cave has a bed made of moss, bracken and ferns in the innermost part.Deputy Cave The Deputy Cave is where the Deputy resides. As the Clan Leader's second-in-command, the Deputy Cave sits to the right of the Leader's Cave and down a little. There is a small ledge, just large enough for the deputy to move around on. The cave is not as bit as the Leader's Cave. There is a bed in the innermost part of the cave.Warrior Cave There are six Warrior Caves. They surround the other caves: three on both sides. They sit right under each other, and don't have a ledge. These caves are bigger than the Leader's Cave, and bedding lines the walls. About 12 warriors can fit in each cave. The caves don't have ledges because the warriors only sleep in them. Otherwise, they're elsewhere.Nursery The Nursery is in the centre of all the caves. It is the largest cave with the largest ledge. The whole floor is lined with bedding, so the Queens are comfortable, and the kits don't get hurt. The ledge is for the Queens to lay around, taking care of their kits and basking in the sun.Apprentice Cave There are six Apprentice Caves, much like the Warrior Caves. These Apprentice Caves are smaller, and have no ledge. The caves are lined under the nursery, all in a neat row. The walls are lined with bedding. 6 apprentices can fit in one cave.Medicine Cat Cave The Medicine Cat Cave is on the ground, and prone to flooding during greenleaf. It's on the ground because the medicine cats are always moving. They have a very large cave, full of herbs they collect. There are indents in the cave walls where the herbs are kept. Each medicine cat has an area. The cave is split into three: North, East and West. There are three areas with indents, and a bed by each wall.Medicine Cat Apprentice Cave The Medicine Cat Apprentice Cave is also on the ground. Much like the Medicine Cat Cave, the walls also have indents for herbs. Each medicine cat apprentice have their own section and stash. It is basically a mirror image of the Medicine Cat Cave.Elder's Cave The Elder's Cave is on the ground. It is prone to flooding in greenleaf, but it is located on the ground because the elders are too old to move up and down the pathways. Here, they can sunbathe and move around as they please. The walls are lined with bedding. 24 elders can live comfortably in this cave.Illness Cave The Illness Cave is right between the Medicine Cat Cave and Medicine Cat Apprentics Cave. This is where all the sick cats stay. It is between the two caves so that it's isolated from the others, and far enough away from the Elder's Cave so the elders won't be affected. Clan History The Beginning Juniper was the very first leader of Sweetclan. She was a loner, when she was contacted by the Stars. She had a precious gift; a gift where she could find a cat's destined mate. She had to meet them, however. And so, the Stars told her that she had to become leader of a clan; a clan where cats can find their destined mates.
To create this clan though, Juniper had to travel. She travelled long distances, meeting many different cats, and bringing many more into her fold. She brought them all the way to the mountains, where they found this basin. Here, the Stars told her that she could live happily with the clan, and train them. She sent out her cats to the different places she'd travelled, telling any and all cats, that they were always welcome to visit her clan if they wanted to find a match.'
During her travels, she met a tom names Tigerblade. They became good friends, and travelled together. This tom fell in love with Juniper, but as he wasn't her destined mate, she refused him. Tigerblade became angry, since the other cats agreed with Juniper's decision, and threatened to destroy them all. Seeing him as a threat to the clan, Juniper killed him.
Juniper, now Juniperstar lived a peaceful life with her clan, and she died of old age. Nearly all 9 of her lives were used up from illnesses that killed her in her elderly age. When she finally died her last life, Juniperstar became one of the Stars; a new star shining brightly over her clan.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Second LeaderSugarstar was the Clan Leader after Juniperstar. When Juniperstar died, she felt at peace, because her mentor and friend died of old age. Unlike Juniperstar's reign though, Sugarstar's reign was full of danger.
This came from a prophecy given by the Stars to her sister, the lead Medicine Cat Joylight.The ProphecyThe breaking of the shadowed hawk and the passionate red song, will turn the streams to blood and bring about the death of many.
With the help of the dark ripple, the red song of passion will hurt those closest to her, bringing about a battle that will allow the black shade and leafy jasmine to be reuinited with the quartet, only to sacrifice their life.
The spilt blood will not be in vain, if the dark ripple is destroyed by the sweet sugar of life.
It is not until then, that the whispering wind can gentle the red song of passion, ending the feud and bring about life.Cats of the Prophecy
Redsong & HawkshadeAfter hearing the prophecy, Sugarstar was shocked. The clan hadn't participated in a battle before. She had to prepare. The very next day, two cats by the names of Hawkshade and Redsong arrived at the clan. It happened, that that night was a full moon, and the night of a matcher gathering.
Redsong and Hawkshade came to the gathering, because they wanted to know if they were destined mates. Unfortunately, Sugarstar told the two that they had different destined mates. Hawkshade's just happened to be Whiteflower, a she-cat in the clan that Hawkshade had already felt attraction to.
Hawkshade told Redsong that he felt attraction to Whiteflower, and wanted to try with her. Redsong was furious, and told Hawkshade that if he wanted to try with Whiteflower, then she will never take him back. Hawkshade apologised to Redsong, and walked away.
Sugarstar watched the whole commotion, and felt uneasy. Redsong watched with fury for the next week, as Hawkshade and Whiteflower become closer. Finally unable to take it anymore, Redsong decided to turn rogue. She told the clan that she would be back for vengeance.Jasmineleaf & Shade Jasmineleaf was a cat that travelled with Juniper. Jasmineleaf was young when she fell in love with Shade. They were destined mates, and so settled down together in the clan. She was happy, and had four kits with him: Ash, Aspen, Blackshadow and Shadowtalon. After giving birth though, Shade disappeared with her two daughters, Ash and Aspen. Depressed and angry, Jasmineleaf never took another mate, and instead, adopted four other kits: Springpetal, Fireblaze, Dustbreeze and Whiteblizzard.
Shade had a dark history. He used to be a part of a terrible group of rogues and loners. They killed and destroyed anything in their path. That was, until he met Jasmineleaf. He finally knew what love was. He left the group, and joined her. Unfortunately, just before Jasmineleaf gave birth to their four kits, Shade was found by that group once more. He was the strongest cat they had, and so they went after him. They threatened him with his mate and kits lives. Unable to bring them any harm, Shade gave in, and took his two daughters like they told him to. Shade protected Ash and Aspen as much as he could, until he destroyed every one of the rogues and loners. He knew, however, that Jasmineleaf would never forgive him, and so, when Redsong looked for cats to recruit, Shade joined her, bringing his two daughters along, hoping to protect the clan his mate loved so much. He was still strong, despite being an elder.RippleRipple was a dangerous tom. He never understood love, and so he killed his mother and siblings. He craved blood and death. Ripple, understanding that Redsong wanted to destroy a clan, became excited, and joined her crusade. He was unhappy with how Shade became the second-in-command, and looked for ways to kill the elderlly tom. He never succeeded. What he did succeed in, though, was becoming the whisper in Redsong's ear. He manipulated her, making suggestions on how to destroy the clan, and feeding her rage and anger.Windwhisper Windwhisper is a clan cat that came after Redsong and Sweetclan had had various skirmishes. When Sugarstar met the tom at the matching gathering, she found that he was the tom she was waiting for. He was Redsong's destined mate. She tried to talk to Redsong the next time they battled, but Redsong woudn't hear of it. Even Windwhisper tried to talk to her. He had spoken to Hawkshade before, and had an understanding of the she-cat. He even liked what he was hearing. Unfortunately, Redsong was too deep in Ripple's grasp, and wouldn't hear of anything but the extermination of Sweetclan.The Great Battle During the battle, Jasmineleaf found out that her mate Shade, and her two daughters Ash and Aspen were with Redsong. She personally heads over to see them. She at first didn't want to talk to Shade. She only wanted to see her two daughters, but eventually, her two daughters succeeded in getting her to talk to Shade properly. She was then told why he left in such a manner, and she forgave him.
As the battle was raging on, Ripple spotted Jasmineleaf and Shade. Still salty about not being second-in-command, Ripple aims for the two elders. He attacks Jasmineleaf. She was able to claw his face, before dying. Stunned by the sudden attack, Shade was unable to do anything but watch his mate die before him. Full of grief, he attacks Ripple, and severely injures the tom, but also dies under Ripple's claws.
Sugarstar is able to make her way to Redsong with Windwhisper. She tells Windwhisper to push Redsong away from the battle, so only the two were around, before heading off to where she saw Jasmineleaf die. Sugarstar attacks Ripple as the tom kills Shade, and snaps the tom's neck. Standing on the battlefield, Sugarstar feels the cruelty of war.The Aftermath By the end of the battle, Sugarstar had died twice, leaving her with 6 lives left. Sweetclan grieved for their losses, and eventually forgave the cats that attacked. Redsong, however, was unable to be forgiven.
Windwhisper was finally able to get through to Redsong, and because of the grief she had caused, the two cats left the clan to live a peaceful life together.
Hawkshade and Whiteflower had no more litters after their first, but lived happily.
Sugarstar finally died of old age, much like Juniperstar. She passed on with her sister Joylight, and both she-cats became Stars.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Third LeaderThe third Clan Leader of Sweetclan is Songstar. This is her generation. Clan Traditions The Matching Ability The Matching Ability is what the cats of the clan call the ability given to each Clan Leader by the Stars. It's what allows each Clan Leader to match the cats they've met. It only works on a full moon though.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Clan Gathering The Clan has a gathering every new moon. All the members of the clan sit at the base of their camp, and look up at their leader sitting on the ledge of the nursery. The Clan Leader then discusses any changes.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Matching Gathering The Matching Gathering occurs every full moon. All the unmatched cats gather at the Matching Tree, and listen to the Clan Leader who sits in the tree. Every full moon, the red flowers bloom that night. The cats sit in a sea of red.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Apprentice Ceremony The Apprentice Ceremony occurs on the first crescent moon. All kits above 6 moons have their ceremony at this time. This includes Medicine Cat Apprentices. Warrior Apprentices must complete basic guard and hunting techniques, before specialising. They will have to complete the basic assessment to become a senior apprentice, and then the specialised assessment to become a warrior. Medicine Cat Apprentices will follow the normal apprentices until they become senior apprentices, when the Medicine Cat Mentor will impart the knowledge of a Medicine Cat. Medicine Cat Apprentices will have to complete the basic assessment, then the herb and illness assessment to become a complete Medicine Cat.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The Warriors / Medicine Cat Ceremony The Warriors Ceremony occurs on the second crescent moon. All apprentices who have completed their training will be given their warrior name at this time.
The Medicine Cat Ceremony will be held at the same time. That very night, the Medicine Cats and the Apprentice will go to the Matching Tree and rest a paw on one of the six roots. Here, the Medicine Cats will dream with the Stars, and the Apprentice will become a fully fledged Medicine Cat.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Medicine Cat Choosing Ceremony Not all cats have it in them to become Medicine Cats. All Medicine Cats are chosen by the Stars. At every half-moon, all the kits born in this period are placed on the Matching Tree. There, it will be decided if they become a Medicine Cat. The sign of a Medicine Cat is if the kit's fur lights up.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Death Ceremony With every death, comes a ceremony. Cats who have the clan in their hearts become Stars. Cats who have turned to the dark side, become Black Holes. The Death Ceremony for these two types of cats is different.The Stars Death Ceremony The Death Ceremony for Stars is simple. The Medicine Cats and apprentices surround the dead, and touch a part of the cat. Surrounding the Medicine Cats are the rest of the clan in rings. Each cat touches the cat in front of them, until there's a web-like pattern. The Medicine Cats pray to the stars, and the body slowly disintegrates into tiny light orbs. These orbs float into each cat, becoming a part of each cat. The cats have a poem:
When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do,
You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears, But be thankful we had so many good years. I gave you my love, and you can only guess
How much you've given me in happiness. I thank you for the love that you have shown,
But now it is time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust That it is only for a while that we must part, So treasure the memories within your heart. I won't be far away for life goes on.

Therefore, the cats ignore these dead, and throw them outside the territory. There, the cats will turn into black orbs, and float away. |

❀ Mossypaw is a cream tom with darker patches and pale green eyes. Mossypaw is missing a hindleg from birith but still is incredibly mobile.
❀ A timid but sweet tom, Mossypaw is always wanting others to feel better. Though he's not the best at it the young tom will always try and lift the spirits of others, this lends itself well to his rank but his shyness is a large obstacle. Still Mossypaw's oddest feature has to be his fasination with injuries and gore. Though he dislikes when others are hurting, he really likes examining even the bloodiest wounds up close.
❀ Mossypaw is often overshadowed by his siblings, their huge personalites often dwarfing his. While he was often dragged into their shenanigans everyone knew Mossypaw was innocent. This is exactly why when the mutilated corpse of a crow was found in his nest his parents blamed his siblings, having no reason to believe their gentle son carved up the already dead animal too examine it.

❀ Hawkrush is prideful, hardworking and aggressive. Hawkrush's biggest downfall is his pride. He takes great pride in his work for his Clan. He takes great pride in the accomplishments of his Clanmates. He's never afraid to speak his mind, prone to speaking his opinion on any and all matters that could at all relate to him. He's got a rather narrow idea of the world - to Hawkrush, everything is in fact black and white. You either follow the Code and serve your Clan faithfully, or you do not, and well.. He's rather vocal about anyone he believes is not. Hardworking to the point of excessiveness Hawkrush struggles to ever slow down. He has a driving need to provide for his Clan, to work until his bones ache and he's so exhausted he can barely keep his eyes open, and he will never listen to anyone trying to tell him to do any differently. He truly believes that working himself to the bone is the best way for him to serve his clan. To outsiders, he is more of an ice king then anything - cold, calculating, and undoubtedly aggressive. He's far more likely to attack a foreign cat walking over the border then to try to peacefully resolve anything, absolutely certain that they know quite well what they're doing. To his Clanmates, however, he is much warmer, always quick to support them in any way he can. He has a fear of hawks.
❀ His mother died right when Hawkrush became an apprentice. He was not named at birth because his mother could not decide on a name. Hawkrush got his name from being attacked by a hawk at a young age of 5 Moons and being rescued by a SweetClan cat. This is why he is intensely loyal to the clan. ❀ Lusterflight is a large, but lean she-cat with a thick silver, grey and white pelt and pale gold eyes.
❀ Lusterflight is collected, amusing and neurotic. She has a quick tongue and a sarcastic tone of voice that seems almost natural to her. She holds no compassion for those who do not earn her respect. If you do something stupid, or embarrassing, she won’t let you forget about it. A cunning and sly individual, able to get out of sticky situations with just a conversation. She has many useful traits, such as being able to hold and remember reports, being organized, and overall reliable with information. Lucid enjoys the sight of competition, it brings her joy to know others try for something- to have a purpose. Lucid is a very complex feline. Many consider her bipolar and find it hard to predict what mood she'll be in at any given point of the day. None know what truly goes through this she-cat’s mind, as she shares her internal thoughts with nobody. She refuses to put her faith or trust in anything or anyone, as she believes anyone has the ability to turn sides in a heartbeat. She is not bipolar, just seen to be.
❀ She was not born in SweetClan, and her parents where loners, who died when she was about apprentice age. She eventually wandered into the clan, managing to feed herself with small rodents. She had grown a tough exterior by then, and although reliable, she is not very affectionate, nor trusting. 𝔾𝕒𝕪 𝕆𝕣𝕖𝕠

❀ Palepatch is a huge she-cat with a base of white fur, decorated with mottled patterns of grey and pale yellow. Her eyes are forest green and very cold in apperance.
❀ Palepatch is a she-cat of a reserved nature, often lending itself to coldness. Intimidating in both stature and nature, Palepatch is not often found with her clan-mates. Instead she is usually found out just enjoying nature when her duties dont call her elsewhere, though not many know Palepatch has a collection of things she likes in her nest which she can become very territorial over. Most avoid her and this she-cat likes it that way, enjoying the company of flowers over cats.
❀ Palepatch was a wander that happened upon the valley in her youth and after getting ijured went to the clan for help. Afterwards she felt duty bound to protect them and swore to do so by beccoming a gaurd.
❀ Palepatch loves bugs and flowers, shes often collecting them and hiding them in the bedding of her nest. Fallenleaves

❀ Whitesun is a small greyish-brown she cat with tabby marking on her chest and front legs. A blaze of white fur steches down her throat and tapers as it reaches her chest. Both her hindlegs starting from mid hauch down are completly white. Her eyes are honey yellow.
❀ Whitesun at first glance is the perfect clan-mate, caring, noble, honest, trust-worthy, brave. Yet once a cat gets to know her more they can start to notice her flaws. Whitesun can't see the flaws in others and is easily gullible, she thinks every poblem is solvable and will relentlessly throw herself at it which usually ends in more harm than good. Some cats find her unbearbly annoying because of this behavior which of course Whitesun usually dosen't notice, believing that all clan-mates are friends no matter what.
❀ Whitesun is the daughter of the previous deputy and has he eyes set of the rank to honor her deceased mother. Fallenleaves

❀ Skywise is a sleek, silver tom with crystal blue eyes. Skywise is a tall, slender tom with an eeriely long tail that is often curled at the end so it dosen't drag across the ground. He's always well-groomed.
❀ While Skywise's intentions are in the right place and his pride mostly stems from the good he does for others, the tom can be annoying with his smug behavior at best while at worst he's bitter and moody when he fails or another cat criticizies him. Still Skywise is normally a charming, suave, and good-natured tom.
❀ Skywise's mother (Skygaze) gave birth to him while trapped in a tree, having been chased there by the wolves at the bottom. Skywise's father (Wisewalker) lying dead several fox-lengths away where he'd bought time for his mate to flee to the trees. The shock had induce her kitting and so Skywise was born. Weakened by the kitting Skygaze slipped from the tree to her death but not before ensuring Skywise's safety by tucking him into the old nest of a woodpecker. The mates had gone for an early stroll and it wasnt long till the clan found their corpses and heard the cry of their only kit.
❀ Skywise was raised by the clan and his name comes from his parents. Skywise loves the night sky and stargazing, he often climbs trees at night to watch. Fallenleaves

❀ Hawthornpaw is a muscular, warm-toned brown tom with black tabby markings and amber eyes.
❀ Hawthornpaw is a stuck-up and out-spoken tom. He is serious to the point of being unfun to be around in the eyes of his fellow apprentices. He is driven however and lets nothing stand in his way of being the best warrior he can be.
❀ After losing his parents to a badger attack the young tom swore to defend his clanmates from all harm, choosing to be a guard before he was really able to.
❀ Hawthornpaw loves frogs and eats them whenever he can. Hawthornpaw is actually a good singer and enjoys singing songs he's made up to himself. Fallenleaves

❀ Alppaw is an all black tom cat with shred off ears, his eyes are a beautiful grey color.
❀ Alppaw is a very friendly tom despite his disablity. The tom has a very kind soul and tries to do his best for his clan, otherwise the tom is pretty laid back. When pushed though Alppaw can become standoffish and snappish. Usually refusing the company of others when hes in this mood.
❀ Alppaw's own mother tore off his ears as a kit, her madness finally causing her to act out when she grew angry over her kits crying. Alppaw was taken from his mother and it wasnt long before the she-cat acted as though he wasnt even her kit. His father also followed suit to pacify his mate, Alppaw dosent mind and tries not to hold it against them.
❀Alppaw never learned how to speak as he was only days old when his ears were tore off and his eardrums punctured. That means Alppaw can make noise though he rarely does, instead Alppaw communicates through tail movements and gestures. Fallenleaves

❀ Azaleapaw is actually pretty nasty, this prickly she-cat argues with anyone and everyone, otherwise Azaleapaw is clever and a skilled hunter. This of course matters very little to her den-mates who have to put up with her attitude. Only her sister Wisteriapaw is free of her scathing tongue.
❀ Azaleapaw and Wisteriapaw lost their third sister Magnoliapaw to an eagle soon after becoming apprentices; Azaleapaw is protective of Wisteriapaw because of this and hates walking through the love fields. Fallenleaves

❀ Wisteriapaw is a dark, dappled she-cat with violet eyes.
❀ Wisteriapaw is a sweet and friendly she-cat, often lifting others up and helping them whenever she can. Wisteriapaw is very spacey and oblivious however and hardly ever notices thngs she should, namely her sisters behaviour. Still even when she does Wisteriapaw just cant find it in her to stand up against her.
❀ Azaleapaw and Wisteriapaw lost their third sister Magnoliapaw to an eagle soon after becoming apprentices; Azaleapaw is protective of Azaleapaw because of this and hates walking through the love fields.

Important InformationPermanent QueensTo apply to become a permanent Queen, your character must have had a litter already. It doesn't matter which gender, whether male or female. As long as they've had a litter of kits, they can become a permanent Queen.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Litters Litters will be determined by random generation. There can only be at most, 14 kits in a litter, so the number will be randomly generated from 1 - 14. Both males and females can give birth to a litter of kits, but for males, they have to be together with their destined mate. These kits will be a gift from the Stars.
After the number of kits has been determined, I will randomly generate between 1 (male) and 2 (female). I will then randomly generate a number from the amount of kits in that litter. That will determine the number of toms and she-kits in the litter.

Every 3 moons, there will be a random generation to determine whether a mated cat will end up pregnant.

The kits and elders will fall ill in Leaf-Fall and Leaf-Bare, whereas all cats will fall ill in Leaf-Bare. This will be randomly generated. There are four illnesses:
#0 ~ No Illness #1 ~ Whitecough #2 ~ Greencough #3 ~ Fever #4 ~ Chills There will be random generation between 0 and 4 to determine whether a cat is sick. If a cat is sick, it'll go through a second random generation to determine the severity of the illness:
#1 ~ Weak #2 ~ Mild #3 ~ Severe #4 ~ Extremely Severe ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wounds With every battle means wounds. All cats participating in the battle will be randomly generated to determine the type of wound they receive and its severity. The types of wounds are:
#0 ~ No Wound #1 ~ Bleeding #2 ~ Internal Damage #3 ~ Sprain #4 ~ Joint Dislocation #5 ~ Broken Bones Then comes the severity of the situation:
#1 ~ Weak #2 ~ Mild #3 ~ Severe #4 ~ Extremely Severe Weak wounds means wounds that will quickly heal. Mild means it'll take at least a few moons to heal. Severe is a random generation between 1 (survive) and 2 (death). If survival is chosen, then it's a choice between 1 (no infection) and 2 (infection). If infection is chosen, then it'll go back to life and death. Extremely Severe means the cat will die.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Travel & Accidents Travelling, cats normally get cracked pads, but this will be randomly generated. Each day, the cats in question will undergo random generation between 1 (no cracked pads) and 2 (cracked pads). They will also go through an accident generation between 1 (no accident) and 2 (accident). Of course, a cat can also have accidents around camp. The results of an accident are as follows:

Apprentice Ceremony
The Clan leader calls a Clan meeting at the first crescent moon to appoint a new apprentice and assign a mentor to them.
Leader: (Kit), you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as ___paw. Your mentor will be (Warrior) . I hope (Warrior) will pass down all he/she knows on to you.
The leader calls up the warrior he/she has chosen as a mentor.
Leader: (Warrior), you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from (Warrior's Mentor), and you have shown yourself to be (quality) and (quality). You will be the mentor of (Apprentice), and I expect you to pass on all you know to (Apprentice).
The mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice by calling out their name. The leader calls a Clan meeting at the first crescent moon. The Clan's Medicine Cat announces that they wish to mentor an apprentice.
Medicine Cat: Cats of Sweetclan, as you know, I will not be around forever. So it's time I took an apprentice. Six moons ago, the Stars had chosen a cat who has shown the virtues of a Medicine Cat. Your next Medicine Cat will be (Kit).
Leader: (Kit), do you accept the post of apprentice to (Medicine Cat)?
Kit: I do.
Leader: The from this moment on, you will be known as ___paw.
Medicine Cat: Tonight you must come with me to the Matching Tree to be accepted formally by the Stars before the other Medicine Cats.
The mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice.
Later that night, the Medicine Cat goes with the Apprentice to the Matching Tree to present them to the Stars, where the Apprentice confirms their wish to be a Medicine Cat.
Medicine Cat: (Apprentice), is it your wish to enter the mysteries of the Stars as a Medicine Cat?
Apprentice: It is.
Medicine Cat: Then come forward.
Medicine Cat: Cats of the Stars, I present you with this Apprentice. (He/she) has been chosen to pursue path of a Medicine Cat. Grant (him/her) your wisdom and insight so that (he/she) may understand your ways and heal (his/her) Clan in accordance with your will.
The Medicine Cat Apprentice touches his/her nose to the root of the Matching Tree. Then the Medicine Cat and the Apprentice lay down and have a dream from the Stars. Warrior Ceremony The Clan Leader calls a Clan Meeting at the second crescent moon and call the apprentice.
Leader: I, Songstar, leader of Sweetclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend (him/her) to you as a warrior in (his/her) turn.
Leader: (Apprentice), do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?
Apprentice: I do.
Leader: Then by the powers of the Stars, I give you your warrior name. (Apprentice), from this moment you will be known as (new warrior name). The Stars honour your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full warrior of Sweetclan.
The leader rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and the apprentice licks the leader's shoulder. The rest of the Clan then greets the new warrior by calling them by their new name. The warrior will sit a silent vigil guarding the camp that night, except if that is not possible. Dying Warrior Ceremony Leader: I ask my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/She) has learned the warrior code and given up (his/her) life in the service of (his/her) Clan. Let the Stars receive (him/her) as a warrior. (He/She) will be known as (new name). Medicine Cat Ceremony Once the Clan's medicine cat is satisfied with the apprentice's knowledge, they go to the Matching Tree at the second crescent moon. This is the only ceremony that is not performed by the Leader.
Medicine Cat: I, (name), medicine cat of Sweetclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help (he/she) will serve (his/her) Clan for many moons.
Medicine Cat: (Apprentice), do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?
Apprentice: I do.
Medicine Cat: Then by the powers of the Stars I give you your true name as a medicine cat. (Apprentice), from this moment you will be known as (new name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of Sweetclan.
The medicine cat rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and they lick the mentor's shoulder. The other medicine cats greet them by their new name. Deputy Ceremony Leader: I say these words before the Stars, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors (or former deputy) may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of Sweetclan is (warrior's name). Leader Ceremony The new leader goes to the Matching Tree with the Clan's medicine cat. After touching the stone, the new leader cannot move for a short period of time, because their old life is being ripped away so they can receive nine new ones. Upon awakening, cats of the Stars come down from the sky. Nine cats, normally ones who were significant during the new leader's life, although this is not always the case, give them their nine lives.
Life-Giver: (Touches nose to the top of the new leader's head) With this life I give you (gift). Use it well (to, in, as, for, etc.) (use of gift).
When all of the lives have been given, the first leader speaks.
First Leader: I hail you by your new name, _____star. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and the Stars grant you the guardianship of Sweetclan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity. Name Changing Ceremony The leader calls a Clan meeting at the second crescent moon, and performs the change.
Leader: Spirits of the Stars, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what he/she is. By my authority as Clan Leader, and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment on he/she will be known as (new name), for (description of the reason). Elder Ceremony Leader: (Warrior), is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders?
Warrior: It is.
Leader: Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given to us. I call upon the Stars to give you many moons of rest.
The Clan will call out the retired warrior's name and then they will go to the elder's den. An elder may receive a completely different name, with a different ceremony, than keeping their warrior name. Usually, an elder ceremony is held only when a cat retires due to old age. If they are forced to retire because of a severe injury, there is no ceremony. Warrior Code #1 Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from outside the Clan, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
#2 Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
#3 Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to the Stars for its life.
#4 A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
#5 Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
#6 A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
#7 The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
#8 After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
#9 Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
#10 No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from outside the Clan.
#11 The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
#12 An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
#13 A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

Ailments
Chest Infections
Whitecough and greencough are the most common chest infections known to the Clan cats.
Whitecough is the milder form, but if untreated, it can develop into the much more severe greencough. Cats usually catch it during leaf-fall and leaf-bare, and sometimes it develops into large-scale epidemics. It can be fatal for elders and kits, and it has claimed the lives of several cats. It spreads quickly and is highly contagious.
Yellowcough causes fever, loss of appetite, diffculty breathing, delirium and sore throats.Treatment Medicine cats treat it using catmint. If fevers accompany the cough, tansy or borage is used as well.
Yellowcough can be treated with lungwort.
Poisoning is the ingestion of a substance that causes harm to the body. If only a small quantity of poison is ingested, the cat usually just receives a bellyache, but larger amounts can cause death. If a cat has been severely poisoned they may become unconscious for a length of time.Treatment Medicine cats treat these bellyaches with yarrow or nettle leaves, while mild bellyaches can be treated with juniper or watermint. To make a cat potentially vomit the poison, immediately give them yarrow. Loss of Sensory Perception A cat may lose their eyesight or hearing due to old age. Or from accidents and infections, or birth defects. These conditions usually end their career as a warrior, as they cannot hunt or fight efficiently, and must retire as elders. Kits born with defects usually die young, unless they have special skills compensating it. Kits that are white with blue eyes have a higher chance of being born deaf. Joint Aches A condition usually associated with elders, the joints gradually degenerating with age, causing pain and difficulty to move. Damp environments can cause the appearance of this condition.Treatment Apprentices must make sure that the moss they gather for bedding is completely dry. It is usually treated using daisy or ragwort poultices. Toothaches A toothache is caused by a cracked tooth, cavities, or an infection in the mouth.Treatment Alder bark is used to soothe the pain. Fever Fever is an abnormally high temperature of the body. It is not a disease in itself, but it usually signs the presence of an infection, such as greencough or an infected wound.Treatment If needed, it can be treated with feverfew, borage, or lavender. Chills Chills are mostly associated with cold weather or being submerged in cold water for a long period of time. Although this condition is mild and is not a disease, it has claimed lives. Kits and elders are more at risk of dying when they get a chill.Treatment Licking a cat's fur the wrong way gets the blood flowing again. A poultice of lavender, catmint and feverfew is also a good remedy. Wounds Wounds are injuries when the skin and the muscles beneath are torn, cut, or punctured. They may put a cat's life in danger due to blood loss, infections, or the damage of the organs. Wounds are the most common injuries, due to the cats always fighting enemy Clans, badgers, or foxes. Minor wounds heal on their own in no time, but severe wounds must be treated by a medicine cat.Treatment This treatment includes cleaning it thoroughly with the tongue, stopping the bleeding by pressing cobwebs on it, and applying poultices to prevent infection and help it to heal. Herbs used in the poultices include goldenrod, marigold, burdock root or wild garlic. If the wound becomes infected, chervil or horsetail is used as well. The pain can be eased with poppy seeds or willow bark. Sprains Sprains are injuries to ligaments of a joint, caused by being stretched beyond their normal capacity and possibly torn. It causes severe pain and decreased ability to move the joint.Treatment The cat must rest for several days. Joint Dislocation Joint dislocation is the displacement of a bone from its normal joint.Treatment Medicine cats treat this condition by first feeding the patient poppy seeds to make them sleepy so they don't feel it as much, and then forcing the limb back into the joint. Cracked Pads The paw pads may crack while walking long distances on hard surfaces, or due to cold weather. Elders are especially prone to this condition.Treatment It is treated with a poultice of coltsfoot or yarrow. Dock leaf poultices are also used to cool cracked pads. Broken Bones A broken bone is usually the result of an accident, such as falling down from a high place, or being hit by a monster. Cats most often break their legs, and while medicine cats try to bind the bone with cobwebs, the injury usually results in the cat remaining crippled for the rest of their life. A more severe injury is when a cat breaks their backbone. This results in the cat being unable to feel or move parts of their body. If the break is bad enough the cat will be killed on or shortly after impact.Treatment It is best to possibly make the patient swim in shallow water in hopes of exercising the injured limb or coming up with exercises to fit the patient's need. ❀❀ Location: Rarely found in the wild. Found in places with dry soil.
❀❀❀ Uses: Best remedy for the deadly greencough, which kits and elders usually catch in the season of leaf-bare. Can also be used for whitecough. Must be eaten.
❀ Chickweed: Tall-stemmed plant with fat, almond-shaped leaves.
❀❀ Location: In the forest.
❀❀❀ Uses: Treats greencough when catmint is not found. Must be eaten.
❀ Coltsfoot: A flowering plant with yellow or white flowers resembling dandelions, grows best in newleaf.
❀❀ Location: Grows by the waterfall.
❀❀❀ Uses: Leaves are chewed into a pulp to ease breathing, kitten-cough, or cracked pads.
❀ Feverfew: Small bush with flowers resembling daisies, has a sharp tangy smell and small soft leaves.
❀❀ Location: Grows along water.
❀❀❀ Uses: Reduces body temperature for cats with fever or chills, also heals aches and pains, especially good for headaches when eaten.
❀ Hawkweed: Small green plant with yellow and orange flowers.
❀❀ Location: Unknown
❀❀❀ Uses: to cure greencough when catmint in unavailable, however it is not as strong. Must be eaten.
❀ Honey: A sweet, golden-colored liquid made by bees.
❀❀ Location: In honeycombs in trees.
❀❀❀ Uses: Soothes infections, is a great remedy for smoke-damaged or sore throats, helps cats swallow other concoctions, helps soothe coughing, and gives energy, eaten or moss soaked in it.
❀ Juniper Berries: Purple-blue berries from the dark green, spiky-leaved juniper bush.
❀❀ Location: Grows in dry areas.
❀❀❀ Uses: Soothes bellyaches, gives strength, and helps troubled breathing, it is also used to help calm cats when eaten.
❀ Lavender: A small purple flowering plant.
❀❀ Location: Sunny spots with sandy or gravelly soil.
❀❀❀ Uses: Placed under a cats nose and is to be inhaled constantly to cure chills and fever, or rubbed/placed on an animals body to hide the scent of death.
❀ Lungwort: A herb with dark green leaves speckled with gray.
❀❀ Location: Moor.
❀❀❀ Uses: Cures yellowcough.
❀ Mallow Leaves: Large fuzzy three-nubbed leaves from a flowering shrub; sweet rose scent.
❀❀ Location: Near a shore, but collect at sun-high when dry.
❀❀❀ Uses: Soothes bellyache when eaten.
❀ Parsley: A long-stemmed plant with ragged-edged crinkly leaves, sharp scent, tastes cold and fresh, tastes the same fresh or dried.
❀❀ Location: Moist, well-drained soil with full sun.
❀❀❀ Uses: Stops a queen from producing milk if her kits die, don't need milk anymore, or are producing too much milk, also used to cure bellyache.
❀ Sweet-Sedge: Thick green stem with long buds at the top.

❀❀❀ Uses: One must swallow the sap to ease infection.
❀ Tansy: The tansy plant has round, yellow leaves, and has a very sweet and strong scent, making it good for disguising a cat's scent.

Remedies Without Herbs ❀ Gently nipping a cat's spine of poking it hard with a claw tests to see if the backbone is broken. If the subject does not feel the nip or poke, the the spine is broken. Many times a medicine cat will have to poke/nip the subject multiple times in different places to find the break..
❀ Licking a cat's fur can help clean wounds, comfort/calm down a shocked or grieving cat, and warm a cat who had become cold.
❀ Soaking moss in water and holding the drilling moss before a stock, injured or weak cat makes it easier for them to drink. Soaked moss and also be used to cool feverish cats.
❀ Holding a swelling wound in cold water takes down swelling. Cats can also soothe scraped pads by soaking them in water.
❀ A cat with weak or hurting muscles/bones can take part in water therapy. Have them wade in water that is not too deep or shallow, and eventually they'll get stronger.
❀ Having a sick cat wail or yowl keeps their lungs and chest clear of mucus.

Battle Moves
Basic
❀ Back Kick: Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws.
❀ Belly Rake: A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control.
❀ Front Paw Blow: Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed.
❀ Front Paw Strike / Forepaw Slash: Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent.
❀ Killing Bite: A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort.
❀ Leap-and-hold: Ideal for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed.
❀ Partner Fighting: Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.
❀ Play Dead: Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes their grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position.
❀ Scruff Shake: Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponent's neck; then shake violently until they are too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them.
❀ Tail Yank: Grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force that your opponent is thrown off balance.
❀ Teeth Grip: Target your opponent's extremities – the legs, tail, scruff or ears – and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight.
❀ Upright Lock: Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip them under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed.
❀ Half-Turn Belly Rake: Turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent.
❀ Badger Defense: Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers.
❀ Duck and Twist: Simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto their back, and then springs to their paws.
❀ Jump and pin: Complicated move. Leap backwards, and bounce off the wall. With precise accuracy, land on the cat.
Advanced
❀ Rear-up to Slash: To hurt opponents coming from the air, this move can be used to rear up on the hind legs and slashing at the enemy.
❀ Attack Crouch: Crouching down to leap out onto your enemy.
❀ Tucking in the Tail: The less you give your enemy to hold on to, the better. This technique takes practice, as balancing with a tucked-in tail is tricky.
❀ Arched Back: Used to intimidate the opponent or to vent out anger.
❀ Shoulder Drop: This move is performed by grabbing the opponent's shoulders and then locking them against the ground. From here, the cat can do anything such as churning their hind paws against their spine.
❀ Roll Over: Used by rolling over to avoid an enemy's swipes or grip. Used to crush an opponent that is on your back. Badgers can crush cats this way.
❀ Duck and Headbutt: Used by ducking an opponent's blow and headbutting them in the chest, bowling them over. Dark ❀ Underbelly Slash: Dart under your enemy's underbelly, slashing at the back of their forepaws. When they twist, expecting you to emerge on the other side, back quickly out of the way you came. Hook your claws into your enemies fur, and drag them to the ground.
❀ Badger Defense ("Advanced"): An "advanced" Badger Defense. Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs, and, while turning, rake your claws on opponent's back. Then sink teeth into opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers.
❀ Spin Hind Kick: Flick your hind legs into the air while spinning around on your forepaws, then rear up rake at the enemy with your claws before tucking your head down and perform a forward roll.
❀ Hold And Enemy Collapse: Leap onto an enemy's back, and hold their head with your forepaws and use your hindpaws to knock their hindlegs out from under them, thus making them collapse to the ground. Forest Attack ❀ Move quietly and communicate with signals. Cracking twigs, startled birds, and rustling bracken will tell the enemy exactly where you are.
❀ Keep downwind of the trespassers so that your scent doesn't give you away.
❀ Look for freshly broken twigs, overturned leaves on the forest floor, remains of prey, or a clump of fur caught on a bramble. Any animal that moves through the forest leaves behind signs that its passed by-and signs like this could lead you straight to the invaders.
❀ Keep your mouth open to search for unfamiliar scents. Be careful: if there is scent when there is no breeze to carry it through the forest, it could mean that your enemy is very close by.
❀ Light-colored pelts are easily seen against brown and green foliage, so stay in the thickest cover. Keep low- the enemy will be looking for movement at normal head height, not close to the ground.
❀ Never miss an opportunity to perfect your tracking ability. In the nursery, kits sneak up on their mothers and pounce with their moss-soft paws. Apprentices leap out on one another from behind bushes and tree stumps. These are more than just games. One day, these skills could save your life and defend your Clan. Lightning Strike ❀ Crouch behind the enemy with your patrol unseen.
❀ Wait for the leader of the patrol to give the Attack Tail Signal.
❀ Spring squarely on top of the enemy, aiming for the ears, as they will bleed easily; caught by surprise, they should be easy targets.
❀ As fast as you attack, retreat back into the undergrowth.
❀ As the enemy lets its guard down, attack from an opposite angle; do this over and over until the enemy, thinking they are outnumbered, retreats. Night Ambush ❀ Hide in the shadows of the night with your patrol and your enemy spotted.
❀ Make sure your scent isn't drifting toward the attackers.
❀ Wait for the leader of the patrol to give the Attack Tail Signal.
❀ Strike your enemy fast and hard; the enemy will be caught off-guard with a battle at night.
❀ Cut off all your enemy's escape routes, encircling them with your patrol.
❀ If they try to attack, battle again. If they do not, let them through with a warning. Water Combat ❀ Double-Front-Paw Slap-Down: Splash water into the enemy's face with your front paws, temporarily blinding them.
❀ Underwater Leg Sweep (Front or Hind): Crouch under water, holding your breath. Sweep the legs from under your enemy as their head is raised above water-level; they struggle for breath, as other cats naturally panic underwater.
❀ Push-Down and Release: Wrestle your enemy under water. Keep their head below water-level until they surrender, as other cats don't know to hold their breath underwater.
❀ Underwater Clinch: Use your enemy's weight to hold them underwater. With a firm grip, raise them to the air so they can breathe, then send them under again. Do this repeatedly until the enemy gives up.
❀ Tail Splash: Similar to the Double Front-Paw Slap-Down, splash the water into your opponent's eyes with your tail, temporarily blinding them.
❀ Underwater Push-Off: Holding your breath, crouch below the water's surface. Aim an accurate pounce to the warrior on the water's edge, knocking them off-balance; the element of surprise should win you this battle.
❀ Rushpaw Splash: Flick a splash of water at a distance to create a decoy for the enemy, leaving room for a surprise attack. Speed & Agility ❀ Approach from Above Your Enemy: Gain high-ground. Wait for the leader of the patrol to give the Attack Tail Signal. Charge down your high ground; your enemy will be weakened by having to fight uphill.
❀ Use the Light from the Sun: Attack your enemy with the sun behind you, which should dazzle the enemy and block their view.
❀ Know Where the Wind is Coming From: If there is a strong wind, it should blow from behind you; that should hold them back and blur their vision with dust. However, if stalking, make sure the wind is blowing toward you, as it could give away your scent if blowing toward your enemy.
❀ Conceal the Size of Your Force: Have your attackers in sight from a distance. There are two options: either you can group your warriors together tightly, making you seem like a small attacking force. Your enemy may become overconfident, which is likely to lead to them making poor strategic decisions. Or, if your warriors spread out single-file, it will seem impossible to pass to advancing enemy warriors and may intimidate them. Attack the enemy.
❀ Attack Both Ends of the Enemy Line First: Attack both ends of your enemy's line, leaving the middle cats to fend on two fronts; this will leave them outflanked, vulnerable, and in disarray. Attack the rest of the enemies until they run.
❀ Keep Fresh Warriors in Reserve: Always keep strong, fit warriors to replace injured ones.
❀ Feigned Retreat and Ambush: A group of strong cats screech and attack the enemy line. The group of fit cats retreat; repeat this until the enemy line breaks. Other warriors, usually tunnelers, jump out of rabbit holes and dips in the ground on the other side of the attackers. Attack from both fronts until the enemy surrenders. Aboveground Combat ❀ The Sky-Crusher: Balance on a thin branch; make no sound. Land squarely on the enemy, claws unsheathed.
❀ The Flick-Over: Balance on a thin branch; make no sound. Land with all four paws outstretched on your enemy. Knock the opponent's feet from under him. Flip the enemy over to their belly; pin them to the ground until they surrender.
❀ The Kick: Balance on a thin branch; make no sound. Kick the enemy as you near the ground. Use the momentum of the fall to spring backward before the enemy has time to attack.
❀ The Slice: Balance on a thin branch; make no sound. Drop with claws unsheathed for maximum injury.
❀ The Branch Swing: Hold on to a branch with front claws as your back paws rake your enemy's face.
❀ The Reverse Branch Swing: Hold on to a branch with back claws as your front paws rake your enemy's face.
❀ The Trunk Spring: Balance on a thin branch; make no sound. Slide down the trunk of your tree. Spring off the trunk with your back legs at head height to clear an enemy (good if tree is surrounded).
❀ The Reverse Climb: Pace backward as the enemy advances. Climb backward up the trunk to escape enemy; often followed by the Trunk Spring. Hunting Techniques ❀ General Rule: Keep upwind from your prey!
❀ Hunter's Crouch: Keep your body low with your tail sticking out straight ahead. Hind legs must be ready to leap and front paws must be ready to pounce.
❀ Fishing: When fishing, keep your reflection away from the water to avoid alerting the fish of your presence. When a fish comes, quickly hook your paw into the water and scoop the fish onto the bank. Kill it with one bite. Fish can still jump back into the water.
❀ Deep Water Fishing: To catch fish living deeper, dive into the river and swim above the shoal of fish. Pick them off from above.
❀ Squirrel Race: Speed is key for catching squirrels. You may start slow, but you must strike quickly. They will scamper up trees. They can be pursued into the branches, but you may end up injured. If the squirrel does end up in a tree, make sure when you try to catch it, you're running up the tree with the squirrel. Try to surpass it and chase it back down.
❀ Bird Leap: When a bird is aware it's being hunted, it'll fly up. You must leap as high as possible to drag it back down. When a bird is unaware, you must hunt it in short bursts of stalking to get close. Make sure to be ready for a leap to hook your kill, because as soon as you emerge, the bird will fly up.
❀ Bird of Prey: These types of birds must be hunted in groups. One cat is not enough. When stalking a mouse, birds of prey may also be eyeing it. A cat can initiate the attack by jumping on the bird's back. Others grab its wings, preventing flight, and the last will kill it.
❀ Mouse Stalker: Keep your paws light on the ground. Try to slide them without making a sound. The mouse will feel the vibrations of your feet before it sees or hears you.
❀ Rabbit Fishing: If you can't find rabbits, find the rabbit hole. Make sure there's a rabbit inside. Wait for it to come out. When it does, scoop it out like when fishing. If there are rabbits out in the open, chase the rabbit if you're fast enough. For slower cats, stalk it very slowly and very, very quietly. A misplaced paw will give you away instantly.

Songstar lay under the sun on the ledge just outside her cave. She sighs happily. This is what life is all about. The feel of the sun hitting her fur was perfect. The warmth of the rays seeped into her pelt, allowing her to feel relaxed. As her pelt warms up, wind blows, freezing her once more. She shivers. "Damn it," she snarls in annoyance. Just as she was feeling warm, the wind just had to go and take that all away. "I really need something to cover my cave entrance. It's too big, and the wind enters all the time," she mutters to herself. She stands, and paces. How will she solve this problem? With her cave being so high up, all the cold winds blow into it. She hadn't had a proper night's sleep in a while. She needed something that'll stay at the entrance of her cave without blowing away, yet covers her cave from the wind. It also needs to be light enough for her to move so she can enter and leave her cave as she pleases.
She had had enough of the wind blowing into her cave at night, and don't forget the nights where it rained and snowed. All that rain, and all that snow ends up soaking her pelt. It irritated her to no end. But there has been nothing she could do. She had no idea on how to solve the problem, and she was too tired to think. She just wanted a proper night's sleep. Was that too hard to ask for? She crawls back into her cave, and huddles in the bed, determined to sleep.

Cloudpaw sorts through the herbs he had on him. He wanted to go over them again. The last time he went over the herbs in his cave was one week ago. He could remember them, of course, but he wanted to remember them for a long time; not short periods, and having to go over them again. He's found that he can only remember things for a month at most. That's why he's decided to change his strategy. Since he can only remember things for a month, he should review every week for a month, and see how that works for him.
"Borage leaves. It grows in the forest, and is eaten by pregnant queens to produce more milk. It can also reduce fevers." Cloudpaw brings the hairy plant closer to himself, taking in the small blue star-shaped flowers. "It has either blue or pink flowers, so I need to remember that."
He then pulls the next plant closer. It was a light pink flower with darker pink in the centre. "Bright-eyes. The flowers grow in clumps, much like a round ball. You can find it on the edge of Tall Forest where the exit to the territory lay. You need to crush it, and mix it wth lovage. This helps cure coughing."
"Catmint. It's very rare to find, so any found must be dried immediately, so that we can keep it for when a cat has greencough or whitecough. This catmint hasn't been fully dried yet. It needs to stay in the sun a bit more. I found this in the dry soil in the love fields near the Matching Tree. It must be eaten." Picking up the catmint in his mouth, he takes it out of the Medicine Cat Apprentice Cave, and places it on a rock right next to the cave. He had a hard time keeping drool away from soaking the plant. It just smelled too delicious. He had already warned the other cats of the clan not to touch the plants placed on the rock. They needed to stay there to dry. He walks back into the cave, ready to go over the last five plants.
The next plant had tall stems with fat almond-shaped leaves. "Chickweed. It's found in the Tall Forest in places that flood easily, or dents in the ground with pools of water held inside. It's more common than Catmint, and treats greencough. It must be eaten. This one needs more drying too." He also takes this plant outside, placing it next to the catmint.
"Coltsfoot. It's rare to find one now. It grows best during newleaf. It has either yellow or white flowers, and looks like a dandelion. It grows by the Snowy Waterfall. The leaves must be chewed into pulp. It eases breathing, cures kitten-cough and helps heal cracked pads. Feverfew. The flowers resemble daisies, but it has a sharp tangy smell." He sniffs it carefully, trying to catalogue the scent. "It's leaves are really soft and small. It grows along the bank of Spring Lake. It reduces the temperature of cats with fever or chills. It heals aches and pains, and helps stop headaches when eaten."
"Hawkweed. It's small, and has yellow and orange flowers. We currently don't know what kind of habitat grows hawkweed. It's a fairly new plant. What we do know, is that it can be used to treat greencough, like catmint and chickweed. It's not as effective as catmint though. Like catmint and chickweed, hawkweed must be eaten. Last, is honey." He takes a deep breath of the sweet, golden-coloured viscous liquid. Drool slowly emerges from his mouth, before he shakes his head, and wipes away the liquid from his mouth. "I like sweet things way too much," he mutters.
"Honey is located in trees. You need to find bees to find honey. It's liquid found in honeycombs. It soothes infections, and is a remedy for smoke-damaged or sore throats. If you mix honey with bitter concoctions, it'll help the cat swallow the medicine. It soothes coughing, and helps provide energy. It must be eaten. It's best to keep it in moss, like water." |

Coldmoon sighs in his sleep, turning his back to Blackice. He moves a little, trying to move to a more comforable position. Blackice laughs softly. "You're very lazy today," he murmurs quietly in Coldmoon's ear. "Sleep some more, my love."
Blackice lay there a little longer, before leaving the nursery cave. His face changes in an instant. He looks around the camp with a rather cold expression. His eyes are sharp. He spots his daughter Clearleaf with her mate. He never wanted her to mate with Dustleap. The tom wasn't her destined. Blackice wanted her to wait for her destined, but it doesn't seem to be happening. She's already had a litter with the light brown tom.
Blackice sighs internally. He's never really shown his emotions except for when he's with Coldmoon. Yes, he does want to show them, but for some reason, what comes out of his mouth tends to be the complete opposite to what he wants to say. It's like his brain and his mouth aren't in sync.
Coldmoon wakes up a few minutes after Blackice leaves. The blind tom blinks, and looks around. He could scent that Blackice left not that long ago. Coldmoon loved it when his daughter came to live in the nursery with him whilst she was pregnant. She was the only company he had. He hasn't had another litter since his first. Clearleaf and Molewhisker were his only kits, and he loved them dearly. He didn't mind that Clearleaf wanted to be with Dustleap, despite the tom not being her destined. All he wanted, was for her to be happy. If Dustleap made her happy, then Coldmoon was happy for her.
Coldmoon lay there, not really wanting to move. He's been wanting a second litter for a while now. Yes, he's still rather young, and he has plenty of time, but he still wanted to have a second. He adored kits, and wanted a large family. To him, despite loving his two kits, they weren't enough. He wanted more. He just hoped that the Stars would give him another blessing; another litter. He's prayed for a long time, ever since his first litter became warriors. He was all ready for the second litter, but it never came. Coldmoon had been depressed ever since. |

Every time the tom wanted some alone time with his mate, Blackice seemed to pop up out of nowhere. Seeing no Blackice, the light brown tom sighs in relief. He looks back at Clearleaf, and grins. "There's no one around," he states proudly.
"He'll pop up eventually. Give up, Dustleap. You won't get your way," the white she-cat snickers. She knew her father well, and he wasn't going to give up. He disapproved of the mating right from the beginning, and she understood why. Blackice really believed in the concept of destined mates. After being with her father Coldmoon, and having a litter, Blackice wanted nothing more than for his kits to find their own destined. It's just that Clearleaf was tired of waiting. She's 48 moons now, and has her own litter. She's happy with that. She wanted to have a litter earlier, so that she could focus on other things, like perfecting her hunting.
As a bird hunter, Clearleaf simply loved to jump high into the air. She loved the rush, and then the fall. It made her blood pump, and there was nothing that felt so good. She nudges Dustleap out of the cave. "Come on. We should get going. We're on the next patrol shift."
Dustleap sighs. "Yes, yes. I'm going. We need to grab a bite to eat first." The two cats walk down to right outside the Elder's Cave, where the fresh kill pile lay. Clearleaf selects a raven, and drags it over to her mate.
"Let's eat quickly," she meows, nuzzling him. Dustleap nods, and takes a bite. He sits by her side. They take turns eating the bird, until only bones remain. Clearleaf chews on the bones, and swallows it all.
"I still don't understand how you do that," he mutters. "Why do you like their bones so much?"
"A bird's bones are much lighter than a rabbit, or vole. It's easier to break and chew too. And I don't feel as hungry later if I eat the bones," Clearleaf answers concisely. |

Mottlebreeze pads through Tall Forest with Molewhisker. The two toms had been on patrol for quite some time now, since early morning. It was nearly sunhigh now, and both toms were tired. They wanted to eat something, and relax. Being constantly on their feet tired them quickly, particularly Mottlebreeze. The tom was very small. Every step Molewhisker took, Mottlebreeze had to take at least 3.
"What should we do when we get back to camp, Molewhisker? Are you going to sleep? You look tired. Hey, do you think we'll ever find our destined mates? I mean, I know we haven't yet, but it's still a good idea to think about it. Do you want to wait for your mate, or find your own? I mean, I know my mother and father aren't destined mates, but they've had a fulfilling life together..." Mottlebreeze's chatter was hurting Molewhisker's ears. The large tom was tired of listening to the energetic thing. Despite being tired, Mottlebreeze's motor mouth just got faster. Did the tom not have a sore throat after speaking like that for a whole hour? Molewhisker's ears flatten. He didn't like this noise one bit.
Despite being a playful tom, the one thing Molewhisker couldn't deal with was Mottlebreeze and his damn moutn. Molewhisker just wished the tiny tom would shut the hell up. He was tired, and getting angrier by the second. He knew this was punishment for pranking Songstar. That leader of their's was really vindictive. She knew he couldn't stand Mottlebreeze, yet she still put them in the same patrol team. Oh, well. He was asking for it. He did make her nest so cold, she couldn't sleep in it.
The tom had decided to go to the snowy mountain where the Love Field was, and bring back snow. He then broke Songstar's bed apart, and popped the snow inside. He neatened the area, and left with his tail between his legs. When Songstar went to lay down, she ended up in a nest full of freezing cold water from the melted snow. She was absolutely furious. Molewhisker couldn't help it though. he just couldn't pass up the opportunity to mess with the Clan Leader.
The other thing he couldn't stand about Mottlebreeze was the fact that the tom was like Blackice and Coldmoon. He liked other toms. Molewhisker was a little nervous around Mottlebreeze, because as a tom who liked she-cats, he didn't want another tom liking him. |

Tawnywave and Fawnpaw were at the Love Fields. Despite Tawnywave being a seasoned reptile hunter, she did know a thing or two in regards to catching rabbits. She was teaching Fawnpaw how to catch a rabbit better, since the she-cat was wanting to catch something for Doesong and Darkblaze. Both elders were still sleeping in the Elder's Cave when she last checked. Fawnpaw adored the two elders. She always had a good time with them, listening to their stories. The she-cat had always wanted to be a guard, and learning how to fight was everything she could've dreamed of.
"Why did you choose to become a hunter, Tawnywave?" the little she-cat asks.
"Well, that's because I saw a kit being eaten by a snake. I was so shocked that a snake was able to enter the nursery, I wanted to help out as quickly as possible. If I could hunt all the snakes, maybe no more kits would be eaten."
"Did you get the snake eventually?" she asks.
"I have no idea," Tawnywave muses. "All I know, was that it's an Adder. Adder's are dangerous, and need some special care since they're venomous. You need to be really careful around snakes. Despite my size, I'm quick. That gives me a slight advantage over the snake, but not much. It's just as fast as I am. You're bigger, Fawnpaw. You're not as fast, but that's alright. You need to find your own fighting style. I attack, then jump away so I'm not hit. You can do something else since you're a bigger target."
"I want to learn more about aboeground combat," Fawnpaw muses. "It looks like fun watching mother fall from leaping up high. I wonder what it's like if I fall from a tree, or part of the cliff. To be able to land on a cat with such precision is exhilarating. I want to continue feeling that." |

Redpaw groaned to himself as he started to wake up from a dreamless sleep. he blinked open his amber eyes and took notice of how he was laying. he was laying on his back with his paws in the area, but he clearly remembered going to sleep curled up. He knew he moved in his sleep, but every so often like now he'd wake up in a completely different position then when he fell asleep. With a soft huff he rolled over onto his belly and got to his paws stretching his tired limbs. He wondered absently as he gave himself a quick grooming if he had accidentally slept in by mistake, since the cave was empty aside from him and he didn't hear the sound of any other cat on the path outside.

Oakwhisper was spending her time counting the herb supplies, making sure they had enough of each and that there weren't any stale or old herbs among the supplies. stale and old herbs didn't help any cat, so there wasn't any need to keep them. she also wanted to make sure she had plenty of herbs to treat a any greencough that could surface in the coming leaf-bare.
She shook her head gently at the thought of greencough outbreak and focused on the herbs in front of her.
"plenty of yarrow, tho a few leaves that are mostly and won't be much use anymore," Oakwhisper spoke out loud to herself, removing the stale herbs from the yarrow pile and into a stale pile that would be thrown out. She then moved to herbs good for pain. "plenty of poppy seeds, most of these were gathered last new-leaf. still have a bit of willow bark left over, that will go bad soon if i remember right." She continued with the same pattern with the rest of the herbs she had.
She didn't like that she was out of burdock root and low on goldenrod, so she hoped one of the other's might have some of it, in case they ever needed it. she only added a few very stale borage leaves to the pile with the stale yarrow, thankfully almost all of her herbs would still be good for a short while. |

Cloudpaw pokes his head into the Medicine Cat Cave. He had finished going over the herbs he'd learnt the previous week. He was now looking for Oakwhisper. He wanted to know if there were any herbs she needed. He had a stock of the ones he was learning, but he still wanted to learn more, and gathering the herbs Oakwhisper needs is a good way to learn.
"Oakwhisper, are there any herb's we need or are low?" he asks when he spots his mentor. He moves to sitting just inside the Medicine Cat Cave. He licks his paws silently, trying to get the smell of the catmint and honey out of his mind. His paws were also a little sticky from touching the honey-soaked moss. He still couldn't get the taste out of his head, and he was trying to distract himself so that he wouldn't go back inside his cave for more. |

Aspenwhisker slowly awakes from her slumber and opens her eyes. She lingers for a moment before sitting up and letting out a loud yawn. Looking around, she noticed that some of her clanmates were still asleep while others were already awake. Aspenwhisker rises to her paws and stretches her body before shaking herself. She leaves the cave and looks around to see if any hunting patrols were going out. She needed something to get her blood pumping.

After spotting Blackice, Dustleap quickly moves away from Clearleaf. "Aspenwhisker!" he cries, after noticing the she-cat. "Are you free? I want to hide from Blackice, so can I join you? "I don't mind. I was going to go out and hunt for a bit." They would catch a lot more prey together. "I was thinking of doing some hunting by the lake. Is that okay with you?" She wasn't sure if Dustleap had a particular place in mind. She hoped to find plenty of prey eating or drinking around the area. Aspenwhisker glanced over to see if Clearleaf was okay with this.

Noticing Blackice not that far away, Dustleap nods his head in an almost violent manner. "I'm perfectly happy with that," he says, almost too eagerly.
Clearleaf purrs softly, completely amused with how her mate was acting. She knew her father didn't like the tom and always made it hard for him. In addition to that, Blackice was a senior guard. That meant he was Dustleap's senior, making things just as awkward. It did make her a little sad, though. She really wanted Dustleap and Blackice to get along.
"Let's go~" he yelps, nudging Aspenwhisker when he sees Blackice's head turning to look in their direction. |
