Normally he would have cut off the convo by now and walked off.

A proud grin crossed her face "I'm scouting for my family business. We run a popular restaurant chain and my mother wants to open a store here. I'm here to look around for the best spot! I'm also taking the chance to battle in the event since I'm here and might as well." she seemed excited, happy to talk about a passion of hers.

Keiji was the only person in Nikelocke she had just talked to for longer than a minute and to be honest, she was enjoying his presence, no matter how cold he was—he was actually very politie. It was nice to talk to a human being her own age instead of her own pokemon, for once. ”But I don’t have to if you want!” She added in quickly, knowing she had already chatted with him than longer she had imagined—not that she didn’t enjoy it—but maybe he was getting tired of her chatting already.

Kei would have preferred to go on his own. But when he looked over to Ness his chilly expression warmed just a little. He may dislike others, for the most part, but he adored his own Pokemon and he didn't want to tear Ness away when she was having so much fun. Sighing deeply he placed a hand on his hip and said "I suppose so. It seems Ness enjoys your presence."

Sapphire | Nicklocke | Keiji (𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛) Sapphire smiled. She was clearly happy he had obliged, even though it wasn’t because he liked her, but she was still happy. He even said Ness liked her which was a definite win in her book. Maybe she would even get to hold her if he allowed it. ”Great!” She exclaimed. We probably should get going then before the opening starts then.” She turned to watch what Luxie and Ness were doing. The pair were still continuing to play arounf each other and Sapphire was glad the two enjoyed each other’s presence a lot.

"Really?! That's amazing!" She was visibly impressed. As simple as it sounded there was so much one had to consider if they wanted to open a restaurant somewhere. Finding a good spot for it in Siluvi couldn't be easy. Nikelocke sounded like the obvious choice but there would be quite some competition in a city like that. "So what do you think so far? You've already seen some of our towns, after all. Any places you would consider?"

Kei nodded and started to walk, keeping an eye on Ness but still allowing her to play. According to the announcement earlier, the event would be starting in about half and hour. The limited time had made more and more people flock to the streets and Kei was looking around for a boat that was parked and looking for passengers.

"Nikelocke at first glance is the best, but we've always set up in lesser known locations. It's not as if we're incredibly well known, but my mother enjoys bringing traffic to places that deserve it." so far she hadn't seen anything that had grabbed her heart. A few of the towns were great and all, but not quite what she was looking for.

(Two new characters. Should I give Agnar a different team (fewer Pokémon, lower level) since he's just a Grunt? And how would Sawsbuck's forms work in this rp? Just like in the games, so it's stuck in one form, or does it actually change with the seasons? I've given it the winter form for now but I can change it if it's supposed to work differently here.)
Agnar Halvorsen -- 19 -- Male -- Verdant Commander
A quiet and somewhat introverted young man who looks like he's hard to approach. But anyone who actually tries to talk to him will find out that he's a pretty friendly and reliable guy who quickly warms up to others. He can be quite talkative, especially when something has sparked his interest. Despite all that he would rather not really bond with anyone, wanting to focus on his work instead. Given his position he can't really afford to actually befriend people outside Team Verdant anyway. While he's usually calm he can be surprisingly short-tempered around people who have anything good to say about the Argent Corporation but he tries to leave it at snide remarks most of the time since he's aware that most people simply don't know any better. On a personal level he doesn't really mind when others are goofing around a little but around Team Verdant he's a no-nonsense guy most of the time. -- Agnar is a tall person with short dark brown hair and blue eyes. He normally wears black jeans, a dark blue hoodie and a hand-carved oaken pendant with the Jera rune. -- He's gay -- @/pineclaw

Her mind was too busy thinking about the modes of transport in this area. Although she had ridden boats before, it wasn’t exactly a common occurrence for her and even then, it was for fun, not for actually moving around to areas. ”This is really exciting, I haven’t gone on a boat in so long.” Sapphire piped up. ”What about you?” She turned to Keiji.

Unless you want to make Agnar a commander, I do think he'll need a slightly weaker team ^^ Just so he doesn't completely overpower the regular trainers. He could definitely catch some more pokemon though as the story goes on. Celine looks good tho!)

Kei confirmed "I know the best people, the ones that won't scam you at least." some of the boats would overcharge you if they saw that you were a vacationer or that you weren't from here. Though, there were a lot of good ones as well. Spotting a familiar one he walked over. She looked up and greeted him by name, gesturing for him to enter the boat. Her partner Pokemon was a Bisharp who held the other long paddle.

"You'll want to! I may sound based, but I can promise you that our food is seriously good." she nodded with feeling and continued "My family is competitive, and we're always striving to be better than our competition. What's the saying? Competition breeds excellence?" she shrugged a bit and patted Akane as she spoke "What are your future plans? This can't be the only thing you have in mind." Alice gestured to where the event was held.

While she did have a lot of money at her disposal so a small scam wouldn’t mind it, money was still money and she was aware of how precious it could be so she didn’t want to go wasting it already, this early on in her adventure. Sapphire gave the woman a friendly smile, glad she wasn’t one of the scammers who Keiji seemed to trust and entered the boat. Luxie was behind her and after securing Ness on her back, she gracefully jumped onto the boat as well. |

(Alright, gotcha ^^ If I were to make Agnar a commander instead I'd have to age him up a little, I guess? And if I still want him to be a grunt, would level 25 for his Lycanroc still be too high? If it is I can just give him a Rockruff instead ^^ Have to rethink rank and/or team. I'll let you know when I'm done of course.)

"Well, sounds like I'll have to give it a try! You better find a fitting location!" It really did sound good, especially if they really were as competitive as Alice claimed. At her question she shrugged. "Well, I want to see how far I can get, of course, and how I compare to other trainers but you're right." She thought about it for a second. While Alice seemed to have a clear goal Nora felt like her own goal was more vague. "I want to see everything of our region. Before I started challenging the gyms I haven't left Altona that often. I've been to Nikelocke a few times but that's about it. And there's only so much you can learn about the architecture from at home. See, I've always been fascinated by... well this." She gestured vaguely around her. "Can you imagine how much thought must have been put into it? All the planning and calculating? It's crazy! Ah, sorry. I can't shut up about it, can I?" Nora shook her head, smiling apologetic, but she hoped that her desire to become an architect herself had come across.

Yes! Anyone can make grunts.) And ok! If he were to be a commander I think he would have to be a bit older. Level 25 is fine, we have a few higher leveled trainers so they can have some grunts to contend with as well.) And it seems that we're the ones replying, so I'm going to have the event start, please have your characters make their way to the stadium ^^ For anyone who's rping something else, your characters can go right back to it after the event is over.)

They were charged a fair amount, and they pushed off. The rivers were large enough for two boats to go beside each other comfortably. The water running through the city pushed mechanisms that powered the city in addition to providing a quick way through it without the use of a car. Kei, as the moved, was watching Ness and Luxie "They seem to get along." he noted a bit absently.

Alice grinned "No, keep talking! It's good to see someone talk about something they're passionate about." Alice was passionate about many things, and she was always glad to see someone who had just as much fire. Her competitive nature got her into trouble more times than she could count "You should like, see if you can get a job here. I heard they're always looking to improve." the city was quite impressive. It was completely manmade, and it probably hid many secrets to its success.
-- Elsewhere, the gates to the stadium were unlocked. They would soon be opened to allow people in. Your characters have about five minutes to make their way there if they would like to get a good seat!

(So the currently only commander of Team Verdant is 21. Do you think that would be the minimum age for that position? I would make my character 19 at most so if that's still too young Agnar can be a grunt. I've almost figured out a grunt-team so that would be no problem at all.)

Nora had to laugh at that. "That would the best thing that could happen! Maybe it's a little too ambitious, though. I know it can be intimidating to some people." Considering what they had achieved already their standards must be incredibly high. "But I'd be lying if I said that I'd never thought of it. It definitely won't be easy. One would have to work really hard to get a job here," she mused, an excited gleam in her eyes. There were people who hated studying and working hard towards something, avoiding it as best as they could, and Nora wasn't one of them.
The crowds were still moving slowly, or at least too slow in Nora's opinion, but something seemed to have changed. Come to think of it, it was almost time. She grinned at Alice. "Looks like it's gonna start soon. Let's see if we can get past these Slowpokes!"
Céline -- Nikelocke
Céline, too, was making her way towards the stadium. "Sorry!" She called as she shoved some people aside as she walked as fast as she could with all those crowds. There really were way too many people here today. She could barely take a step without bumping into someone but then again it was probably because she was actually trying to run in the crowded streets. Once she had gotten closer to the stadium she slowed down a little, finally paying more attention to her surroundings. She still pushed past some people but at least she was trying to be more careful now.

Luxie was currently using her ribbons to splash some water ontop of Ness, as if it was raining onto the small baby pokemon and they both seemed to be enjoying playing with each other. ”They’re so cute..” She cooed, happy that Luxie had found another friend in Siluvi. Sapphire then started to watch the boat with great interest. Back in Kalos, cars and trains where used to move around, so a boat was a pleasant surprise to say the least. Kei looked up from the two playing Pokemon and nodded "I guess. The Argent Corporation is filled with mightier than thou people, but they made a cool city." people who were high in command were apparently all unbearably annoying. At least the Argent members he had met before were. Trying to get a Pokemon Center set up was a hassle. They arrived at the boat stop closest to the stadium. Kei hurried out, craning his neck in an attempt to see over the crowd. The downfalls of being a bit short.
Alice -- Nikelocke Stadium
"Yeah! They won't beat us to the good seats. Not if I can help it." Alice cheered, holding on tighter to Akane and shoving her way through the crowds. People not willing to stand their ground would be pushed aside. They got a couple glares, but for the most part people seemed excited and happy to be here.
-- The large gates open and people are starting to be let in. Have your characters head in and choose their places. The event will start as soon as everyones characters are in and seated!

However, Luxie seem to recoil slightly at the huge crowds before her but she just smiled at Ness, not wanting to go back into her pokeball when she just made a new friend. Meanwhile, Sapphire looked down at Keiji, struggling to look over the crowd and chuckled a bit, before looking over the crowd. While she wasn’t super tall, she wasn’t too short either. ”What are you looking for? The gates are over there.” She pointed towards the large gates that were opened and a huge crowd of people were pushing through them.

With a determined look on her face Nora followed right behind Alice. She glanced at her Raboot and while he kept up well enough she grabbed Tammo's paw, not wanting him to get seperated from her. It would have been easier if she just put him back in his Pokéball but he looked so excited that she didn't want him to miss out on anything. They quickly caught up to Alice again, ignoring the glares of some people in the crowd. "I wonder if they'll be just as easy to deal with in a Pokémon battle. No fighting spirit at all," she laughed.

Kei sighed and agreed. After a lot of shoving and cursing they made it into the stadium. Seats were filling up fast, but not so much they'd be stuck in the back row of seats. Kei glared down a younger trainer from taking one of two empty seats "Let's hurry." he claimed one for himself, sitting before someone else tried to snag it.

Alice snorted and grinned in Noras direction "I bet. They have no drive." they arrived to the front gates. Letting people in was a irritating looking woman with a Skarmory at her side. She gestured for Nora and Alice to head in next. As they entered it was obvious just how important this event was. The stadium was huge with an expansive field in the middle. It looked to be one of those fancy ones that would change the field depending on what was programed. Right now it was just your average one "Wow! I can't wait to fight on this!" the final league was held here for the trainers with all badges.

As more and more people got seated, the flow of people slowed. Finally it seemed that nearly all the seats were claimed. There was a spark of light as pyrotechnics went off in the middle of the field. Out of the smoke appeared Corbin Argent. The crowd excitedly cheered and he waited for a moment before raising his hand to quiet the crowd. The large screens focused on him and his voice rang out "Welcome everyone to the Siluvi Regions first official championship event. As I'm sure you all know, this will be the first time our fair region has ever had a Champion, someone that can be called the strongest trainer." he took a few steps forward, holding his arms out for affect "I can't thank you all enough for participating and making this possible. I wish you all luck in your endeavors, and I expect to see many of you in our final match up."
He pointed to one end of the stadium "Now, as thanks for all of you coming, we have a match for those of you who decide to stay to enjoy." two gym leaders appeared from the entrance and each walked to opposite ends of the field. It seems that you have a choice to stay and watch the battle, or head out and begin your journey.

Luxie seemed to have the exact same response as her trainer, her ear flicked wth excitement. “Are you staying?” She asked Keiji, not bothering to look at him as she watched the two gym leaders walk on out. “I’m definitely staying. Gym leaders never fought each other back in where I lived and even if they did, it was pretty rare, but it seems like here they do so a lot, which is really exciting. Watching one of the strongest trainers fight each other is so exciting but also so nerve-racking but that’s what makes it so enjoyable. Plus, maybe I’d be able to learn something from then as well.” She seemed to babble on energetically, never pausing to catch a break. |

Amon Rezman -- 16 -- Male -- Ardent Grunt
He is a very quiet boy who always has the same monotone face and voice in almost any situation. Due to this serious nature of his, he has a hard time grasping jokes, making friends (not that he minds) or anything to do with socialising. He is very loyal to the Ardent Corporation due to being brought up by two loyal Ardent Grunts. He is hard-working and calculative, but this results in his inflexibility and rudeness. -- He has silver hair which is usually neatly combed and has dark brown eyes with fair skin. He is of average height for his age. He usually wears a light blue button-up shirt with the Ardent pin ontop of his heart. He also wears light wash jeans and leather boots. -- He is heterosexual. --smellytoeshehe

Jet is a trainer who enjoys freedom above anything else. He is rather hot-headed, but is still caring and nice towards everyone: regardless whether they are a pokemon or trainer. He is friendly but would rather be alone with his pokemon most of the time. He isn’t afriad to speak his mind and hates to abide by strict concrete rules, thus his vindictive nature causes him to purposely break them. -- He has dyed black hair, but due to his poor job of dying it, there are still visible strands of his original silver hair, plus some silver roots as well, if you look closely. He has dark brown eyes and tan skin. -- He is bisexual. He ran away from home at 15, and joined Team Verdant. He decided to call himself Jet for no other reason other than it sounding cooler than Adryan. -- smellytoeshehe

Kei frowned, wanting to get out of this city as soon as he could "I think I'm going to leave. I'm not interested in watching two leaders fight for the entertainment of others." he decided. As soon as he stood to leave Ness burst into tears. He jumped in surprise, the baby Pokemon never this much of a crybaby. Yes she was a baby, but it was rare for her to go into a fit like this. She looked up at him with a pout and he raised an eyebrow "I realize you made a friend, but we can't stay around them forever."

((Ah, okay thank you!)) Sapphire | Nickelocke Stadium | Keiji (𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛)Sapphire looked at him curiously, her attention now fully diverted from the battle that was occurring infront of her. ”You don’t like pokemon battles?” She said, confused. She thought pokemon battles were universally enjoyed, so meeting someone who didn’t seem to like them was definitely a new concept for her. Before she could ask him to elaborate further, Luxie had immediately reacted to the sounds of her new friend’s cries and instinctively wrapped her ribbons around Ness in an effort to comfort her. ”Oh no! Ness don’t cry!” Sapphire exclaimed distracted, her heart seeming to crack upon hearing the cute baby pokemon cry, not noticing some of the dirty glances people began to shoot at the group. |
