She is very bubbly and talkative, and if she finds anyone remotely interesting, she will attempt to strike a conversation with them. She’s very energetic and can be a bit tiring to hang around due to her overly-excitied nature. However, due to her spontaneity she doesn’t think before acting, which has resulted in her saying the wrong things or acting recklessly. However she makes up for this by her courage and fierce loyalty. -- She has pale skin and dark gray cat-like eyes. She has wavy black hair, which she always ties into two smaller space buns on the top of her head, letting the rest of her hair fall down. She also has two blue hair extensions (one on each side) to frame her face. She is a bit above average in terms of height. She wears a blue middriff hoodie, demin jeans and running shoes. Her accessories include a black choker and black fingerless gloves.-- She came from a rich and overprotective family in Kalos, but managed to convice them to let her go on a journey for a fresh start. However, if she loses a battle, she will at first be in denial, but will soon accept her defeat and congratulate the trainer and use the battle as a lesson in her next battles. She is against the ideas and actions of the Argent Corp, fearing that they would soon reach Paorin and destroy her hometown. -- She has light tan skin and dark brown eyes. Sapphire | Nikelocke | open Sapphire excitedly wove through the crowd, the amount of people bumping into her didn’t seem to faze her at all, if anything it felt normal. This is what it’s usually like in Kalos. She smiled to herself. If it weren’t for her dignity, she would already be jumping all over the place like a complete lunatic, but she managed to hold her excitement in, instead opting to grin like an idiot while observing all the interesting features Nikelocke had. She wished she could bring Luxie out to see all the new sights and smells, but her Sylveon had already made herself clear that she was not comfortable with the huge crowd and Sapphire wasn’t going to push her buttons. Perhaps she could let her Sylveon out when they got closer to the stadium, provided it was less crowded there.
“Let’s do this!” She cheered unexpectantly, startling a few passerbys before increasing her pace towards the stadium. |

Here are the starters for my open characters!)
Alice -- Nikelocke
Alice was not a patient person. She practically fumed behind a group of people who were walking slowly down the street. There were so many people on the usually never used bridges of the city and there was no way around it "Maybe I should have taken a boat." she grumbled to herself. In her arms sat a Applin who let out a small noise of agreement "Thanks Akane." she patted his head fondly. Evolving him was a big goal of hers, and what better way than to explore the region and find the item she needed? Though, that wasn't her only goal. Once Corbin Argent started the league she'd finally be able to continue her quest to get badges.
Keiji -- Nikelocke
People steered away from Kei as he walked irritably through the crowd. He was not happy to be here, and anyone who saw him could tell. His grumpy expression was quite unusual placed next to the incredibly happy looking Pokemon sitting in his bag. The Happiny seemed to cheerfully unaware of how ticked her trainer was. According to his aunt he 'needed to work out his piss poor attitude if he wanted to work as a doctor' and he should 'travel around the region and cool off'. Then he'd been kicked out of the Pokemon Center and told not to return "Kind and helpful my ass." he hissed to himself.
Liev -- Nikelocke
Psh. All these people gathering here for Argent of all people. Liev pouted and crossed his arms over his chest. He'd been sent here to keep an eye on things, but there was so much going on what was the point? As a Team Verdant member he was more than happy to cause Argent some problems, but nothing was happening. Shaking his head his usual grin returned to his face. Well, he'd just have to wait for the real event to start! After that, there'd be less people around and more of a chance to do his job. Humming lightly to himself he weaved masterfully through the crowd. This would be better if there was some music, he thought idly.
Signe -- Nikelocke Stadium
The huge amount of people lining up in front of the stadium was to be expected. Signe would have been insulted if her boss hadn't been able to bring in any more. She stood with her arms crossed as she watched the entrance for anyone trying to enter before the time was set. As a member of the Argent Organization it wasn't rare for her to be sent on a job like this, even if it was a bit boring. Not that she really minded. Signe would do just about anything for Corbin Argent. The man was a genius, he had many plans that she was very fond of. This was just her doing her part to make it a reality. Valkyrie sat perched on a nearby fixture, the Skarmory watching the crowd with equal interest as her trainer.

Sapphire | Nikelocke | Keiji (𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 ) Sapphire could feel Luxie shaking in her pokeball: a desperate attempt to try and escape her small space of captivity. Sapphire gently gripped the Sylveon’s pokeball in an attempt to soothe her down. I must look really stupid. She thought to herself, embarrassed.
“I’ll get you outta there soon, don’t worry.” She whispered to the pokeball before looking around, trying to look for a somewhat secluded area to let Luxie out. However, she had no clue whatsoever. Maybe I should ask someone who knows this place better than me. She looked around and soon laid eyes on a guy around her age. I hope he’s nice. Sapphire walked over to him, putting a friendly smile on her face. “Hi there! Do you know anywhere that’s a bit less crowded. You see I’m trying to find a place for—” However she was cut off by the Happiny she just noticed in the man’s bag. All her thoughts disappeared in that moment as she stared at the Happiny. “Is that a Happiny? Wow, she looks so cute!” She squealed and bent down to come into eye level with the baby pokemon. “Does she have a name?”

Professor Lupuna -- Lab
The sound of someone at her door startled her. She truly had assumed that most people would be at Nikelocke to watch the opening. Maybe it was just someone here with a delivery? Shrugging her shoulders she hauled herself off the ground and made her way to the door. At this point she'd convinced herself it was just a local here to ask something, since many of the locals didn't enjoy entering Nikelocke. She opened the door "Yes? What can I help you with?"For a brief moment Henry wondered if he had come to the wrong place. He had expected someone more put together and professional looking. Not this person who was wearing slippers and sweatpants. Deciding she must be an assistant he said "I heard that Professor Lupuna provides new trainers with a Pokémon. Is she here right now?" He shifted a bit nervously as he waited for a response. It'd be a bit upsetting if the Professor wasn't there and he couldn't start his journey that day. |

Kei jumped so hard he nearly dropped the bag his Pokemon was sitting in. Almost no one had ever just, walked up to him and started a conversation. He hadn't been expecting it. Kei shot the other trainer an unimpressed look and said "Her name is Ness. Do I know you?" Ness let out a happy noise as she was given attention. She waved her little arms in Sapphires direction in greeting. She was so different from her trainer is was weird how they got along.
Professor Lupuna -- Lab
Oh, well she guessed someone was here to get a Pokemon. Well, what can you do. Professor Lupuna rubbed at her eyes, the dark circles under them were obvious "Oh yeah. Huh. Wasn't expecting someone today. I am Professor Lupuna, come with me and we can get you a starter." she gestured for the trainer to follow "What's you name?" she asked, glancing over her shoulder.

She let out a small squeal about how she was able to actually find and meet a Happiny, a pokemon who wasn’t in the Kalos pokedex, before coughing embarrassingly, realising her squeal might have off-put the trainer before her. Sapphire looked back up at the trainer, ignoring his unimpressed look. ”No we don’t know each other but we can change that! Here I’ll introduce myself. I’m Sapphire Baudelaire. What about you?” She got back up at her full height, which made her a bit taller than him and looked at him expectantly.

Nora -- Nikelocke
Nora let out a sigh, getting impatient with all these people. Why did she have the misfortune of walking behind a group that had to stop every few steps? Sure, Nikelocke was impressive but it wasn't that amazing either. Then again she might have felt that way because she was pretty familiar with most of the city. The same couldn't be said about the Raboot that was walking behind her. Just like the rest of Nora's team Tammo hadn't seen this city before. He looked around every now and then as he tried to keep up with his trainer. Nora usually kept one Pokémon outside its ball, even in a crowded place like this, and while Alaia, her Spheal, might have enjoyed this city too, Tammo was a better choice. Keeping an eye on him was easier and as her very first Pokémon he was also the one Nora trusted the most out of her team. "Don't fall behind," she called as she glanced at the Raboot, grinning at him. Then she ducked and suddenly pushed her way through the slow group of sightseers before her, giving them an apologetic smile. Her smile faded when she saw that there were even more slowly walking people. "This will take forever," she grumbled. Tammo just shook his head at her. "Hey, it's not my fault everyone is so slow, you know," Nora said, laughing a little as she watched the people around her out of the corner of her eyes.
Then she noticed the person next to her, a girl that appeared to be around her own age and who was, without a doubt, a trainer as well, if the Applin she was carrying around was anything to go by. Nora wondered what that Applin would evolve into but outright asking its trainer wasn't really something she wanted to do, it was none of her business after all. But still, maybe talking to someone would make walking behind those slow people more bearable. There wasn't much else to do anyway.
"Hi there, you two," she greeted the other young woman and her Pokémon. "Those crowds are a nightmare, aren't they?"

Kei narrowed his eyes further, having to look up a bit at the taller girl. Tall genes weren't exactly abundant in his family and it showed. Sapphire seemed like the type to not give up no matter what he said, so he eventually gave in and said "My name is Keiji." he never flaunted his last name around, not entirely fond of the assumptions that came with it. So he left it out "Well, if that's all-" he turned a bit, looking like he was going to leave.
Alice -- Nikelocke
"They really are! I've just about had it. I'd seriously consider taking a boat if we weren't already close." she fumed, happy to talk shit with a random person she'd just run into "You here for the opening ceremony? I'd guess you are a trainer?" she zeroed in on the others Pokemon, looking eager. Alice was always ready for a fight, even if they were locked into the giant crowd with people milling about around them.

Don’t go just yet!” Sapphire walked a few paces so she was infront of him again. “I was just going to ask if you knew where a less crowded spot around here would be. You see, my Sylveon would like to come out of her pokeball but it’s too crowded for her around here, so I was wondering if you knew a spot around this place that’s a lot less noisy.” She rambled. Keiji seemed like a silent type of guy but something about him caught her eye. Maybe it was his Happiny, maybe it was his pink hair or perhaps the coldness that he gave off. Nevertheless, Sapphire was somewhat intrigued by the trainer and she wanted to chat to him a bit more. Even if he didn’t seem to like it. “Oh and do you know any convenience stores around here? I wanna buy some chips..”

"Nikelocke usually isn't this bad," she said with a meaningful look at the crowd before them. "Wish they'd get a move on." At the other's questions Nora smiled to herself, not missing the way this girl looked at her Pokémon. "Yeah, you too I guess?" She thought for a second. Was this girl hoping for a Pokémon battle? Maybe a fight in the middle of this street could be seen as rude or disrespectful to those who just wanted to get through here... but they were walking slow enough already, those other people could handle a little inconvenience. Nora glanced at Tammo who just nodded. Then she turned back to the other girl, a grin on her face. "Don't tell me you want to challenge us here?" She laughed, not sounding opposed to that thought at all.
(Is this really going to turn into a battle? In terms of level Nora's team is probably stronger than Alice's so I just want to make sure if Alice would want to challenge her anyway)

Kei sighed and rubbed at his temples, this girl was just not going to leave him alone "The Pokemon Center is around the corner, or you can go to the store over there." his words were short and sharp. Unfortunately for him, the store was in the direction he needed to head towards. Ness tugged at his shirt and held out her small arms. Kei plucked her from his bag and held her in his arms. She was a needy little thing, but she was a baby so it was to be expected.

"I would if we weren't on a time limit. Darn crowds and events." she puffed, placing one hand on her hip and holding her Applin in the other "How many badges do you have? I just got to the Siluvi region, so I haven't had a chance to challenge many. I only have three." it was one of the first things she'd done when she got here before the actual work she was supposed to be doing.

She glanced at her Raboot again to make sure that he still kept up and didn't get lost in the crowd. "Oh, then I'm a little ahead of you. I have four. I've started challenging the gyms not too long ago either. Tammo here was my first Pokémon." She eyed the Applin as she spoke. It didn't look like much but she knew better than to judge a Pokémon by its appearance. Still, she doubted that it was this girl's first partner. "I'm Nora, by the way. What's your name? She wondered how such a grumpy person had ended up with such a cute pokemon and still seemed to have a good relationship. Before she could ponder more, the pokeball in her hand started shaking, another reminder from her Sylveon that Sapphire needed to get a move on before Luxie would get very mad. ”Where are you headed off to?” Sapphire asked Keiji. Sapphire knew she should probably head to the pokemon centre first but she really couldn’t resist buying some food and plus, it looked less crowded there. ”I’m heading to the store.”

Her asking just reminded Kei of his interaction with his aunt, and he scoffed "I guess I'm headed out to the next town. Have to 'go on a journey' or something." as they turned the street the hoard of people lessened to a bearable point. Most people were milling around idly or sitting at the tables around the buildings that were along this street. Kei eyed the other and said "Let me guess, you're here to take part in the championship battle perhaps? Maybe a tourist?"

"The name's Alice! I'm from the Galar Region. This here is Akane, I'm looking to evolve him as soon as I can get my hands on the right item." she should have evolved him before coming to the Siluvi Region, but hindsight was 20/20 "Are you from here?" she'd met maybe three natives, which was weird. You'd think there would be more around.

So I guess I’m kinda going on a journey like you too!” She smiled brightly, but noticed his contempt. ”How come you don’t look too happy about going on a journey though?” She looked at the trainer curiously. Others usually seemed so happy and excitied to be going on a journey but this guy just seemed pissed and pessimistic. It was a bit baffling to Sapphire to say the least, who was always looking forward to new adventures—not that she ever got any, thanks to her overprotective parents—but that’s why this first adventure drilled her with such energy and determination.

Kei scoffed and gestured to nothing with his free hand "I was kicked out. My aunt says I need to straighten out my 'poor attitude'. Can you believe this shit?" Ness rolled her eyes and tugged at his shirt, wanting the attention back on her but not getting any as Kei ranted.

But he seemed pissed about it, no doubt about it, so perhaps it would be a plan failed. But after hearing him say that, she began to become more curious about him and wanted to attack him with all the questions running through her head, but she bit her tongue, hoping to calm her mind a little. ”Where did you and your aunt live?”

And, um, there was cool pokemon here too.” Sapphire turned back to the boy tried to come up with a reasonable excuse in her mind. To be honest, she just chose this region on a whim with no planning whatsoever. It was a bad mistake on her part, but it seemed like Siluvi was a good choice anyways. |

Ness wriggled in his hands and Kei set her down. She toddled over to the Sylveon, interested in the new Pokemon "I see. Well..." he was about to say he was going to head out when he realized just what Ness had done. She wouldn't be happy about leaving now just as she was interacting with a new potential friend. Sighing he rubbed at his temples and said "Ness, come on. I'm sure they have things they need to do."

Sapphire | Nikelocke | Keiji (𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛) Sapphire frowned slightly, not wanting for him to leave. While they weren’t friends, she had already grown comfortable around him, possibly because she warmed up to people so easily. But she knew she had already stretched their conversation for too long. Suddenly an idea came to her head. ”Wait, before you go!” Sapphire held out her hand as a signal for him to stop and she raced inside the store. While she was inside, Luxie wrapped her ribbons around Ness in a comforting matter and raised her up from the ground slightly, as if Ness was floating and began playing with her. Sapphire soon came stumbling out with two plastic bags in her arm. ”Here.” Sapphire gave one of the bags to him, which was filled to the brim with a bunch of different snacks. ”I felt bad for taking up your time so I wanted to give you some snacks, but I didn’t know what you liked, so I just got a bunch of different ones.” Next to her, Sylveon continued playing with Ness happily.

As the boat rowed along the river, Lalani watched the scenery as they passed by. She had to admit, even if it was a little shady why these river-ways were built, it was way more convenient. She briefly pondered if this business tactic was anymore crooked then any other ones, but thinking about that sort of thing was starting to make her feel tight-chested. It was hard to think about how corrupt the world around her might be, it was much easier to just focus on the little things, like how Leif watched the water churn below the boat. The girl couldn't help but giggle, tussling his head fur as he watched the water guzzle. "I think this is the first time he's been on a boat." She looked up to Ren with a cheery smile. "How long have you and Babylon been together?"

A small smile graced his features as Kei watched Ness enjoy the attention from the others Pokemon. He was a bit surprised when the other trainer came out with a bag of snacks, and he took it a bit sheepishly. He may be abrasive, but even Kei was polite when given something. He stared at it for a moment before he nodded in Sapphires direction "Oh, thank you. I, appreciate it." Ness let out a thrilled noise as she was lifted into the air again. She was fully enjoying it.
Ren -- Nikelocke
"Yeah! I caught her when I was pretty young and not really into training Pokemon." he pulled out a Friend Ball and in a flash appeared his Elgyem. She stretched out and blinked slowly, looking between the trainers before floating over to take a seat next to Ren. He grinned and continued "They say that Elgyem are a new Pokemon species that came from space! Rumor says they came to earth in a UFO. I've even read they're to blame for supposed hauntings due to their effect on some electronics." truthfully, his interest with the unknown had started with Babylon "Oh, I never asked. When did you get Leif?"

"I'm from Altona. That's where I got my Raboot, too." She shot one more glance towards Akane the Applin, wondering if Alice had already decided on what she'd evolve him into. It wasn't really an easy choice to make, something that Nora knew well enough. "So what brings you to Siluvi anyway? Galar doesn't exactly lack gyms and strong trainers either so I assume it's not just because you're looking for a challenge?"

(Just noticing it now but re-reading that other post it looked like Dominic had bumped into Mika, not the other way around. But I'd say let's just run with it xD)
After a few more seconds Mikael finally lowered his gaze, trying to focus on the Luxio and the Toxtricity instead. He still could feel the older boy's eyes on him but tried to ignore it. Other people's stares had always made him uncomfortable. It always felt like they were judging his every move, looking for any weaknesses. When the other boy spoke though Mikael looked up at him again, clearly annoyed but most of all surprised at the sheer audacity of this guy. At the same time he fought back a laugh, a quick snort escaping him. "Did you really just go there?" He shook his head and went back to looking at the Pokémon. A little louder he said "I wouldn't know. s'not like I've met any," sounding surprisingly calm. He did have to stop himself from adding a "Please don't kill me" though. Instead he just looked up again. "Okay, guess I should have paid more attention. So let's say we're both at fault and leave it at that."
Meanwhile Aludra padded closer to the stranger. At the Dedenne's excited squeaks the Houndour wagged her short tail. She took another few steps and when the Dedenne waved at her she returned the greeting with three short, friendly barks. She sat down right in front of it and its trainer, curiosity in her eyes. From behind her she could hear a quiet chuckle and looked over her shoulder to see her trainer giving her a slight nod.

Luxie was now letting Ness ride her back, jumping gracefully around the small area, taking care not to bump into anything. Sapphire’s mind scattered trying to think of something to say, wanting to enjoy this small moment. “Are you heading to the boats now?” She piped up.
