With the full attention of the three of them, Ness finally seemed to calm down "Fine fine. We'll stay here you big drama queen." Keis tone was actually quite soft. As they were working with Ness, the battle continued on in front of them.

"So, are you staying or are you heading for Fihford?" She asked Alice as she kept her eyes on the battle for now. Watching the battle might not be such a bad idea. There was much to learn about the two gym leaders, especially what their strategies were. But Nora also didn't want to let Alice catch up to her, not until the final league at least. She was one badge ahead of the other girl and she wanted to keep it that way. Alice had made it clear that she was very competitive and Nora couldn't afford to slack off. Not with that kind of competition.

Kei decided not to reply and simply returned his attention to the battle. It would be over soon anyways. The two gym leaders were obviously very skilled, and the terrain it had been switched to made things interesting. Ness was more than happy to sit and play with the other Pokemon while her trainer stewed in his own irritation.

"Of course I'm headed out. I can't just sit around." Alice leapt to her feet and gestured wildly with one hand "I have to get going before more trainers start heading out." she wasn't the type to just sit and watch someone else battle when she could be going around and battling herself. It wasn't like her.

(As for free characters, I have Céline and Agnar, the latter being one of Team Verdant's commanders. I won't be online again until tomorrow though, it's pretty late here right now.)

Nora had expected as much. And leaving now was definitely the better choice. She didn't want to have to deal with the slow walking crowds again. "Well, let's get out of here then." Making sure that her Raboot was following her she made her way to the stadium's exit. She would have to train him and the others before she would actually head for Hythe City. Maybe she could accompany Alice for a while or she could travel alone. But first they would have to leave Nikelocke before all the other trainers.

Eyeing Ness, he nodded when she didn't complain. Hopefully this would be enough for her and she wouldn't cry the next time they had to split up. As they moved he was a bit ticked at how slow it was, but that was to be expected. They hadn't hustled out like some other trainers who hadn't watched the battle "We should take the boats again. It'll be faster with all these crowds. Even if it costs money."

Grinning at the other, Alice led the way out. The streets were no where near as packed, and it didn't take them long to reach the first route "Let's hurry, there's nothing but lower leveled Pokemon around here." she wanted to get to her next gym battle anyways. Alice plowed on, not really bothering to watch her step.

Blaze WinnWell-- 18 -- Male -- 0 A sweet, caring guy who loves his Pokemon. He can be a little mischievous when around others, but for the most part he gets along with everyone. Someone has to really get on his bad side for him to dislike them. He would do anything for Pokemon or anyone if they needed it. He has a huge passion for becoming strong with his Pokemon, but also wants to have fun with them. Works extremely hard and can be a little stubborn, but his heart is in a good place -- Roughly, 5’10" in height and weight around 150 lbs, Blaze has a slender build but has a little bit of muscle on his slightly sand colored body. With walnut colored hair styled in short cut on the top and a slight fade on his sides. His brown eyes can appear in a lighter brown tone in some situations. Typically, can be found in an orange and black hoodie and some cargo shorts with a pair a trail running gym shoes. He carries a black and orange backpack that his parents give him as a birthday present. Nora -- Nikelocke -> Route 1
To her relief the streets weren't too crowded yet and leaving the city was much easier than reaching the stadium had been. With a quiet laugh she hurried after Alice. "Don't trip over them, though!" She, too, had no interest in wasting time on the wild Pokémon here. There was no point in training with them. She and Tammo had fought their first battles here but now the wild Pokémon were way too weak for him. Or for anyone on Nora's team. The Raboot seemed to think the same, he didn't even glance at any of the Pokémon they passed. He, too, seemed more interested in reaching the next gym. Or at least a route with tougher Pokémon. He easily kept up with Nora and Alice, sometimes even running ahead and then back to them again. Nora shook her head at him and laughed. "Stop showing off." Then she turned to Alice and without slowing down she asked "Are you going to train your team some more before you challenge Fihford's gym or are they ready enough?" As for herself, there was no way she would challenge Hythe's gym before her team was a bit stronger. She wanted Tammo and especially her Spheal Alaia to evolve at the very least.
Céline -- Nikelocke
Céline had watched the battle for a bit but after a while she had gotten bored with sitting around. Sure, the battle was pretty exciting, but she just couldn't sit around doing nothing for too long. So she had left the stadium already and was now walking through Nikelocke's streets. Maybe she should head for Velena City. The next gym was there, after all. But she was in no particular hurry. Even as the other trainers began to leave the stadium and the streets became more crowded Céline felt no need to leave immediately. Nikelocke was far from boring after all and this wasn't the first time she walked through the streets, wondering if there was something super exciting to discover somewhere. An entirely man-made addition to the region was bound to have some secrets.
Agnar -- Nikelocke
Agnar watched as more and more people began to leave the stadium, many of them seemed to leave the city as well while others stayed for one reason or another. There was a lot to do here, after all. This city had almost everything anyone could ask for. No wonder so many people loved this place. Still, it felt weird to him that they actually enjoyed a city as fake as this one. Even the rivers were entirely man-made. There was nothing Agnar didn't hate about Nikelocke. He didn't really want to be here but it was important to find out what Corbin Argent was planning. It sounded innocent enough, the whole championship-thing. It would bring even more tourists to Siluvi and the league sounded like something that a lot of people would enjoy. If everyone is busy participating they are less likely to notice what those Argent-guys are doing to our region, he thought but there probably was more to it. He shot one last glare at the stadium before he began to make his way through the streets, not too bothered by the crowds.

Nao Miura -- 18 -- Non-binary -- Electric Type
Nao is usually a kind and energetic person who can be a little pushy when it comes to helping others. They're confident in their abilities and their Pokémon but at the same time they worry about not being able to fulfil other people's expectations. Not wanting to get on anyone's bad side Nao often feels temped to just agree with everyone but usually they can stand up for their own beliefs and most of the time they try to find some sort of middle road. Despite specializing in electric types Nao is actually afraid of thunderstorms, but only natural ones. Anything that's caused by a Pokémon doesn't faze them and they love nothing more than having their Pokémon go crazy with their electric moves. -- Nao is a bit shorter than average. They have short black hair with a blue streak and blue eyes. Nao usually wears grey shorts and a black t-shirt with a blue pattern that's inspired by a Lichtenberg figure. They also wear a lightning-shaped pendant made of metal -- Nao is demisexual and doesn't really have a preference for any gender -- @/pineclaw

Connor can be somewhat arrogant and he usually doesn't take others seriously. At least when they aren't working for the Argent Corporation. He tends to mock people who are against them but even though he does seem foolish it wouldn't be wise to actually mess with him. While he might come across as carefree it doesn't take much to anger him. He can be pretty ruthless when he feels threatened and he's willing to do pretty much anything to not disappoint the Corporation. His fighting style is aggressive and he thinks defensive moves are just a waste of time.
He respects those he works with, especially the higher-ups, but he's not afraid to criticise them if he thinks it's necessary. -- Connor has messy blond hair and brown eyes. He's about average height. -- He's heterosexual -- @/pineclaw

The Sylveon was on her trainer’s back, refusing to walk near the crowds but also refusing to go into a pokeball. Sapphire seemed to sigh inwardly at her pokemon’s difficult behaviour. While Luxie didn’t show it, she could be a spoiled and immature pokemon when she felt like it. ”I’m fine with spending more money. Did you need extra?” She answered the trainer next to her.Jet | Nickelocke | mentions Agnar (Pineclaw ) Jet was walking along the bustling streets of Nickelocke, Seasame his Joltik nestled in his black hair messily. While he flashed friendly smiles at any passerbys who looked at him, he couldn’t help but uncomfortable with the amount of people squished against him, even if he didn’t show it. He didn’t think this amount people would be here when he had volunteered to keep an eye on things during the opening ceremony. ”Just you and me feeling icky in this place huh?” He mumbled to Seasame, he responded with a small yip. Never had he seen such a strange city compared to those in the Hoenn region, but Blaze wasn't complaining much as he walked out of the stadium with the other crowds of people. Although he was inclined to watch a pair of gym leaders battle out for future knowledge, he decided that planning based on someone else's battles didn't mean he would have the same exact game plan. He held his arms to his chest careful not squish his Houndour, Shadow, against him and be on the receiving end of countless growls. "Shadow quit squirming or you're going into your Pokeball and I definitely know you don't want that," Blaze teased his pokemon. Shadow glanced his head up at trainer's eyes with a major glare like "You wouldn't dare?" Blaze just shook his head as he walked along the pathway toward Route 1.
Kassie || Sylvanport
Her eyes scanned the television screen with the ceremony and following exhibition match between two fellow gym leaders, glad to not have to participate in the battle this year. Quietly, Kassie reached over on the bench in her workout room and grabbed a T.V. remote before pushing the mute button. Sliding herself back over to a cream colored mat, she pressed a finger to start up the music from her stereo. Music echoed throughout the workout room and quickly Kassie went back to focusing on her daily morning routine.

Alessi was already a bit on edge, and she whirled around to face the offender that nearly mowed her down, obscenities hanging on her tongue. Her harsh expression settled into one of surprise when she faced Grace. "Grace?" She said, not expecting to see the Hythe gym leader all the way here in Nikelocke. She wasn't even sure if Grace would recognize her as her battle against her had been several months ago, but she also knew Grace wasn't one that took defeat lightly.
Noche had noticed his trainer's abrupt stop and flew down with concern, but relaxed when he spotted Grace and her Weavile. He settled down next to Alessi, who placed a hand on top of his head.

"I have enough. What exactly are your plans for after this?" he was planning to head to the next town, and so on after that. If Sapphire had the same idea he had a feeling he'd be stuck with a new travel partner. It wasn't as if he could just return home and wait it out. Well, it could certainly be worse, at least she wasn't a terrible person to be around. The boats were pretty busy, but they managed to snatch one and were headed towards the entrance to the city that would lead them to Route 1.

Considering her question for a moment Alice replied "I think I'll train up a bit before going in. Not that i'm worried! My team should easily be able to handle those water types!" that was her confidence talking, but truthfully she'd like to evolve her Applin before then. His grass typing would help a lot with the water types at the gym "I'm guessing you'll want to train more? Since we're travelling together for now we can totally train together. Not that I'll lose to you either!" she insisted.
Grace -- Nikelocke
Graces expression was confused for a moment before she brightened up "Oh! You're..." she snapped her fingers and added "Alessi! How are you doing?" how nice was this? Perhaps Grace could convince the other trainer for a rematch, since she had lost last time. Grace never forgot the face of a trainer who beat her.

(About the elite four, is their max level supposed to be 60 or is it higher? If it's "only" 60 I'll have to edit one of Arctozolt's moves since it learns Bolt Beak at level 63. But other than that I'm done with Nao.)
Nora -- Route 1
Nora smiled to herself, remembering her own battle against the gym leader of Fihford. It had been the first time she didn't let her Raboot join a fight and Tammo had been a bit annoyed about that but he had cheered up when Nora had promised him that she would be mostly relying on him for the next gym. "I bet they can. It wasn't exactly a hard fight for my team either." She didn't want to say more about that, though. She wasn't going to give Alice any hints as to what Pokémon were awaiting her and her team. Helping one of her rivals by telling them all about the next opponent? No way. And more than that, it could be even seen as an insult. At Alice's suggestion Nora grinned at her. "Don't think I won't take you up on that offer! I can't allow you to beat me, though. My team and I fully intend on staying one step ahead."
Agnar -- Nikelocke
As he walked through the crowds Agnar tried to find out if any of those people were nearby. He had seen some members of the Argent Corporation by the stadium but he had expected that. They had to oversee their event, after all. In the city's streets he hadn't seen any of them yet, though. Oh well, he wasn't the only one to keep an eye on them. Still, it would have been great if he or someone else could find out more. He looked up when he noticed one of his team members and gave a small nod to acknowledge Jet. "Hey. Quite the event, huh?" he, too, kept his voice low but still audible enough so that anyone nearby wouldn't grow suspicious. It sounded casual enough and no one would bat an eye at anyone who talked about the league and the opening ceremony. "Can't believe how many people came to see it." More like I can't believe how many people came to see this Corbin guy and actually fall for his little act, he thought and Jet probably knew that. "They've really outdone themselves this time."

There is no cap to their levels, just make sure they aren't so overpowered they'd easily destroy the other trainers ^^ )

Taking that as a challenge Alice shook her head "No, I'll definitely catch up. You'll have to face me in the Champion Battle event to." Akane poked his head out of the apple and made a noise of agreement "Speaking of Fihford, I heard they're going to be holding a fishing contest soon. Apparently you can catch some good Pokemon in the lake near it and in the surrounding ocean. I bet I could beat you in that, even if I can't beat you in badges yet!"

Nora glanced at Tammo who bumped his fist into the air upon hearing the Applin. Good to know that the Pokémon, too, felt strongly about competing. "I'd be disappointed if I didn't get to fight you in the Champion Battle!" She sounded excited but also determined. When Alice brought up the fishing contest Nora shook her head with a laugh. "You're probably right about that." She had never really bothered with fishing, mostly because she simply lacked the patience. "But who knows? I won't run from a challenge, that's for sure." |

Sapphire | Route 1 | Keiji (𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛)”I’m heading towards Sylvanport to get my third badge.” She answered. ”What about you? What are your plans?” She asked him as the boat finally arrived at the entrance. She hopped out, followed by Luxie. ”Hey, if we’re heading towards the same area, we could be travelling partners!” She exclaimed excitedly. When Luxie heard her, she cheered along with her trainer as well, excited she could potentially have more time with Ness. Jet | Nickelocke | Agnar (Pineclaw)”Couldn’t agree more. Fascinating group of people, aren’t they?” He grinned, a tone of mockery carefully laced onto his words. He looked around at the crowds making sure no-one seemed to have grown suspicious before turning back to Agnar. ”Anything around here caught your eye?” He asked casually. ”I could stay with you for now, maybe we could look around for anything.. more interesting.” He paused, trying to find a suitable word. To him, staying with a trusted member he knew was better than being alone in this claustrophobic place.

Blaze || Route 1
Crossing the bridge linking the metal city to the mainland and Route 1, Blaze was glad to be off the artificial island and thankful he didn't have to carry Shadow any longer. Carefully, he set the Houndour down onto the pathway with a smile. "Are you happy now?" Blaze asked with a tinge of sarcasm. Shadow just gave his trainer a toothy grin as he started to pad forward on the path. Blaze followed along, his eyes scanning around for the various Pokemon, but he doubted that anything would really catch his eye. If they reached Altona then he could stop by the Professor's lab. He didn't really know much of the region and it would be nice to not have to wander aimlessly around without some type of guidance.
Kassie || Sylvanport
Sweat rolled down Kassie's forehead as she leaned against the wall inside her workout room, a long breath escaping her lips. Her body ached from her finished workout and she was taking a few minutes to readjust herself. When the door opened into the room, a small Riolu entered and smiled at Kassie. "Hello Rye, how was your morning?" Kassie asked returning the smile. Rye gave a small shrug of his shoulders before gesturing out to the front. Curious, Kassie grabbed a small towel and wiped off the sweat before following Rye into gym arena. "Rye is someone here for a challenge? Hopefully there wasn't cause Kassie definitely wasn't ready nor was she appropriately dressed. The Riolu shook his head before walking into the middle of the battlefield. He turned on his legs before closing his eyes and red aura lit up around his body. "No way! Good job Rye! You're getting good with that move Kassie exclaimed with a bright smile. She was happy to see her newest Pokemon improving his moves.

Agnar -- Nikelocke
"They sure know how to make an impression," he agreed, careful not to show his disdain too clearly. It was frustrating how good they were at making themselves look like wonderful people who, despite being pretty full of themselves, cared about Siluvi and the people who lived there. Convincing anyone of what that corporation was really doing was pretty much impossible. And even if there was solid evidence, people didn't see what they didn't want to see. Not that there was much to see anyway for the majority of the citizens. The Argent Corporation was careful about keeping up their good image and keeping their secrets hidden. How many of those who were visiting Nikelocke today knew about places like Morainetown? Surely not too many.
"Not really, now that the entrance ceremony is over." He told Jet. Maybe it would be a good opportunity to try and see what Corbin Argent was doing now after he had made his announcement but one couldn't get close to someone as important as the CEO. Too many of his underlings were still overseeing everything, making sure that the whole event ran perfectly. "But sure, let's have a look around. There's nothing you can't find in Nikelocke, they say." He had no intention of checking out anything the city had to offer, of course, but at least wording it like that made them look like anyone else who was exploring the city. As they moved through the crowds he added "Most people are leaving already to take on the gyms so it'll be less crowded, too. Kinda hard to get anywhere when you can't take a step without bumping into someone." Taking one of the boats would have been much easier but Agnar refused to waste money on something the Argent Corporation profited from, at least when he could avoid it.

Keiji -- Nikelocke
Ness also seemed happy with that suggestion. Kei didn't even have time to turn her down before Ness was waving her little arms excitedly "I- I mean." he sighed a bit dramatically and rubbed at his temples "I.... suppose that would work. It's not as if I can stay here." he'd have to do something to prove to his aunt that he could be let back home. Shaking his head he added "Maybe I should take on the gyms... or maybe something else." he'd never been much of a fighter. And his one other Pokemon was well, hard to work with.
Alice -- Route 1
"Good. I'd be disappointed if you didn't take up the challenge. Oh look! It's Altona." the route was short, and they had been going fast anyways "If we keep up this pace we should be able to get to the next city today! It's because we got out of that crowd." she nodded as if it was the best idea she had that day to head out early.
Liev -- Route 1
Since nothing had gone down, Liev was headed out. He didn't enjoy being in that city more than he had to be. As he exited the city he spotted a trainer nearby with a Houndour who seemed just as happy to be out of that city "Your dog has good taste. That city is the worst." Liev said, tone friendly but words scathing. It was obvious he wasn't a fan of Nikelocke despite just having been in it.
