Cam watched her ‘husband’ bury his face into the couch. She started to remove the dress, having some issue with that, but finally succeeding on taking it off. The corset was the bigger issue. The woman tried to reach around to her back, which was the only way out of the uncomfortable garment. She eventually found something to reach around and undo the corset about halfway, but that only worked for the top few pieces. Once she started to realize this wasn’t going to work all the way, she started to get more frustrated. A series of colorful words escaped her mouth in hushed tones, but eventually she accepted the fact that she may need help. Cam sighed, trying to figure out how best to handle the situation. She couldn’t sleep in this. She eventually decided to slip on the leggings she had brought to sleep in. “I... have a situation.” She finally addressed McCoy, hoping he wasn’t absolutely out. She looked as embarrassed as she could possibly be. “I can’t reach around...” her voice trailed off.
Spock realized she was right and nodded. He watched her for a moment, then turned around about halfway through her request, realizing he hadn’t already. He remained turned towards a wall until he was certain she was done. He listened to T’Aimnu’s reasoning, thinking it through himself. Once again, she was right. The way she had said husband was a bit surprising, but the Vulcan did not turn around to look at her. Instead, he raised an eyebrow. “It would be the most logical course.” He agreed, having been convinced of it. While he doubted they would come check in the middle of the night, it was still best to do what they could to keep up appearances. It was only for one night.
“I know but...” Jim’s voice trailed off. He didn’t know why he needed to talk to her, he just felt he did. He did want to discuss the mission, but he wanted to discuss more. He heard her grow quiet, and he leaned slightly against a nearby table, making it creak in the silence. When she finally spoke up again, he pulled his weight back up again and walked through the door. He had been slightly surprised to see her outfit hadn’t changed, halfway expecting her to have changed. He had no idea how hard it was to get what she was wearing off. He quickly directed his eyes to something, anything, other than Abby. He saw the writing next to her, and at first smiled a little. “They even have paper.” This place was starting to feel more like a simulation of history and less like a far off planet. Then he lost the smile, growing serious. “What’s it for?” He took a few steps into the room, then stopped. Jim’s eyes would still not rest on Abby, but now were on the paper. “Have you been taking notes?” That could help with the mission, for sure. As long as no one else found her paper trail.

"Hmm?" McCoy sighed, lifting his head. "Oh yea, yea." He slowly got up and trepidly approach Cam. He did his best to not touch Cam's skin, but he brush against her skin a few times. This was terribly intimate. Once done, he had to tear his eyes away and took a few steps backward. "Done, let... let me know when you're done with everything." He slowly moved back to the couch, this time sitting up right with his eyes completely shut. It was tempting to watch Cam, but being the gentleman he was, he didn't dare do it. T'Aimnu hmpped and puffed, slipping into Vulcan a few times with some choice words aimed at the corset. Of course they had put her into something simpler than Abby. But for the Vulcan, it defined logical itself. "Why would anyone willing fully put their body into this despite knowing it harms muscles and internal soft tissue? I understand it may by visually appealing for the opposite gender, but you can hardly breathe in these things." T'Aimnu complained, not making any progress on getting out of the dress. She looked around to see if there was a mirrior around. Which there was and she moved over to it. But of course it didn't work, but she was too stubborn to ask for help.
"Yes, trust me I'll hide what I've written once done." Abby moved her writings which accounted for a full page already and her writing surface to the bed side table. She looked at James and was debating the merits of asking him to get her out of the cursed corset. She looked terribly uncomfortable. There was no way Abby would be able to comfortably sleep in the thing. She looked around at anything but Kirk, which mostly were the candles that gave off the only light in the entire room. "James... um do you mind doing me a favor?" She motioned silently to the back of her corset.

Cam didn’t meet his eye as he walked over to help her. She held her breath nearly the whole time, partly because the corset was painful enough to breath in. When his hands brushed against her, she turned a deep shade of red. “Thank you...” her embarrassment was evident in her voice alone. Once he sat back down, Cam finished removing the corset. She quickly slipped a tank top on to sleep in, then laid the dress and corset on a table. “I’m done..” she was still clearly embarrassed, her face still a light shade of pink. “I remember reading somewhere about how awful those things felt,” she looked over at the corset, almost like it would attack her “I guess you have to experience first hand before you believe how painful they are.” And to think, she’d have to wear it again tomorrow.
Spock’s eyebrow was still raised as he listened to her change. He didn’t dare turn around, but he could tell she was having some problems. “I do not fully understand the appeal. I understand that the garment reenforces a physiological shape that has become a symbol of feminine ideals for this culture. Still, it seems that the collective daily pain suffered by the women would outweigh the desired look.” He had a hard time understanding how a woman’s natural shape was somehow not as appealing as a woman who had been squeezed to a near pulp. T’Aimnu had looked pleasant in the dress, but he did not understand how unnecessary suffering would be a reasonable trade for the look. The Vulcan continued to listen to T’Aimnu move about, still not sounding like she had made much progress. “Do you require assistance?” He asked, still not turning around. He knew she probably wouldn’t want to stay in that thing any longer than she had to.
Jim nodded, still not looking directly at her. He started to look around the room, away from the paper this time. He was glad she was taking notes, they may be of use soon enough. When Abby said his name, he looked at her, more a force of habit than anything else. He almost looked away again, but saw her motion. He hesitated briefly. “Yeah. I.. bet you want to get out of that.” He could tell she was uncomfortable. He took the steps to her, slower than his usual pace, then started to undo the corset from the back. His hands brushed against her skin more than McCoy’s hands had. Kirk was more in a rush and a little less cautious. He looked a little more uncertain every time his hand did, eventually muttering out an apology about halfway through. Once he was done, his hands and eyes lingered for a moment. He didn’t touch her skin, he just sat there for a moment, sorting out his re-emerging feelings. Finally, he took a step back and looked at her for a moment. Then, the Captain cleared his throat and looked away. “I’ll... go back to my room. Call me when you’re done.” He briefly looked at her, having half the mind to stay, but turned and went back through the door to his room. Once he left, he leaned back on the table from before. He definitely couldn’t see Abby from here, which would help if he lost his better judgement.

"No problem. It's nothing. Yeah, I would guess so." McCoy nodded, while taking off his boots. He took a took a moment to glare at the corset. "At least you won't have to wear it as long as you did today. I would burn that thing for you. If I could. I'll take the couch and you can have the bed." He added, finally looking at Cam. He didn't stand, just looking around for some blankets to sleep with. "Well... it's been a long day and I suppose we should get some shut eye to be ready for whatever may happen tomorrow."
"I honestly do not understand the appeal either Spock." T'Aimnu huffed, silent for a moment. "Yes I do require assistance." She had given up. She turned, her back towards Spock. "I wish there were improvements that had been made to this, so that it would only require that wearer to put on and take off. To have servants help, that take the dignity away from the wearer." She added. "Do you think that Abigail has tried to find the Captain? To give him an update on the situation? "
The moment Abby could take a big breath, she did. But she slowly released it, some of the tension of came from having James be so close. The woman had a few goosebumps pop up and hoped that James hadn't noticed them. She was comfortable enough just crawl over to the robe that was draped acrossed her bed and slid it on. "You can come back James." Once she finished tying it closed, she spoke. "What did you want to talk about?" Her eyes on the man in question. Abby's shift still peeking out from the robe.

“That’s true.” Cam sighed, missing her usual attire on the Enterprise. “I’d join you at that bonfire.” She smiled a little at the idea of burning the cursed item. She hesitated, looking around the room. “You don’t have to sleep on the couch if you don’t want.” She quickly added. “I mean, we are married for the night. It may be suspicious if you were on the couch, even though I doubt they’d find out.” She paused, finally looking at him. “Or at least take some sheets off the bed.” She told herself that the reason she was suggesting this was because she didn’t want for him to be uncomfortable. She wouldn’t admit, not even to herself, that it may have also been something else. “Just to make sure you sleep well, for tomorrow.” She added, continuing to refuse the idea.
Spock turned around and walked towards T’Aimnu. “The design is illogical.” He agreed. “A design with the closure to the side would provide easier use, if not moving it completely to the front.” He worked to undo the corset, his hands much more careful than Kirk, only brushing against his skin once or twice. “If she has found more information, then yes. It would would be best if they were discussing these matters discretely. I’ve already heard rumors about the two.” He was used to hearing rumors about his friends, most of them being false. This had been the quickest rumor about Jim to spread, possibly because an alien romance provided hot gossip. “I feel that we have provided quite the entertainment for the locals.”
Jim headed back through the conjoining door and into Abby’s room. He had spent the moment in his room trying to figure out exactly what he was going to talk to the woman about. “I wanted to see what else you had learned about the mission. If you knew anything more about what we’re up against tomorrow.” Sure, they did need to discuss the mission. He also wanted to talk to her, in general. Partially because he had hated the quiet of his room, in this foreign place that he didn’t trust. Abby seemed to be the best to relax him in all this uncertain mess, and he was beginning to subconsciously register that. Then, a thought crossed James’ mind. “And who were you talking to in the hallway?”

"You'd be ok with me sleeping on the bed Cam?" McCoy asked softly, taking a few steps closer to the woman. His eyes were uncertain. "Not necessarily. We could have had an argument right before bed over something. And I would be in the doghouse. I just don't want to push anything on you that you don't want. You were dragged down without any knowledge of what was going on or what you were getting dragged into. " McCoy sighed and rubbed his face. He didn't like diplomatic missions let alone the dress uniforms. This was stressing him out, the not knowing.
"Agreed on the front closure. There is no doubt in my mind that we have provided quite a lot of gossip for weeks, perhaps months. I would have thought that the two of us would have provided it. Not the Captain and Abigail. I am shocked that Cam went along with everything as well as she did." T'Aimnu sighed. Once Spock was finished dealing with her dress, she finished the distance to her sleep clothes. She slid out of her gown and slipped in her night clothes. "Much better. Thank you for your assistance Spock." She turned to face him. She wasn't sure on what else to say.
"Don't get me started on tomorrow. The locals are completely done with war. It's been going on for years. It's understandable that after such a period that they were tired. Tired of the dying." Abby sighed, her eyes going distance for a moment. "Oh that was Andre. He wouldn't take no for an answer and he walked me to my room. Just said good night." She shook her head. "Turns out he was the head of Intelligence in the city and security for the night." She shrugged her answer off. "Learned how hard the war has been. More about the government, why the war started."

“I don’t mind, if you don’t.” Cam shrugged a little, looking at him for a moment. She then walked back over to her bag and closed it up, almost to busy herself. “I mean, we could have had an argument. I feel like whatever Spock and T’Aimnu were arguing about was enough to cover for all of us.” For the Vulcans to get that worked up, it was probably equivalent to a yelling match for humans. “I don’t mind, you’re not pushing me. I suggested it.” She finally looked up at him again, once she put her bag up on a table. “I know you had nothing to do with bringing me down here, and I know you aren’t enjoying this anymore than I am.” She smiled a little, then added. “I’m definitely going to give Kirk an earful when we get back to the ship. I don’t get why I’m even down here, being part of Engineering..”
“I was expecting that as well. After all, we do typically raise more interest.” Spock, who had been told to wear a hat on several occasions, was not used to Kirk being the odd one out. While he was not exactly, ‘the odd one out’, there was much more talk about him. “I am also shocked. I was expecting Cam to be more argumentative about our situation.” He just hoped her frustration wouldn’t build up over night. The last thing they needed was a jealous Jim and an argumentative Cam during a blood bath. When T’Aimnu continued to change, he turned around again. He nodded, then turned back around when she was finished. “We should rest.” He suggested.
“It really is like the revolutionary war?” The Captain raised his eyebrows a little. “That’s understandable...” At least these people could grow tired of deaths. He had been on planets where that wasn’t completely the case. “Is Andre the man you sat next to doing dinner?” He asked. “Security?” He looked away briefly, muttering halfway under his breath. “No wonder I’m on edge.” He said to himself, though it was possible that she had heard him. Jim had taken a disliking to Andre, for obvious reasons. “Why did the war start?” This seemed like something he should’ve been briefed on, but yet again, that information had not been included. “You know, we really should’ve known this information going into this.” He knew Abby was just upset about going into this blind as he was. Jim shifted a little, feeling restless. There were just too many unknowns for a mission like this, in his opinion. “Diplomatic missions aren’t supposed to be this exploratory...”

"I know Cam. That definitely would have been a screaming match for a human couple." McCoy sighed, moving to claim one side of the bed. He laid down on almost the edge. "You should give Kirk an earfull, given what will likely happen tomorrow. I don't need to be sewing any one up more than needed in terms of numbers of people." He sighed again. "You shouldn't be down here." He added, looking at the woman. Shaking his head, he scooted down on the bed. "You really shouldn't be down here." McCoy repeated himself.
"Agreed. Cam preformed extremely well under the conditions she did. Given that she had little warning and no knowledge of what she was being sent into." She paused for a moment. "Rest is sorely need. You are sleeping in the bed correct? There is plenty of room to share. There is no reasonfor you not to be well rested for whatever tomorrow may be. I hope tomorrow is not what Abigail predicted" T'Aimnu sighed, as she slid into the bed. Her eyes were still on Spock.
(We done with the Vulcans till morning?)
"Diplomatic missions aren't supposed to be like this James. This is plain out war. I see why the bastard Admiral needed this. Needed me." Abby sighed and rolled her eyes. It is. Similar. I think I once saw a theory how history repeats itself and yet changes. It seems to have started with similar reasons as our own past." She looked at James with confusion on her face. "Yes, Andre was." It took Abby a few seconds to try and understand what James was getting at. "You're jealous of John aren't you? It's not going anywhere with. Besides it's not like we're together, therefore you don't have a claim on me." She huffed defensively. "I can look after myself."

“It would’ve been.” Cam agreed, still smiling some as she shook her head. She sat down on the bed after him, sliding in on the bed a little more than he was, but still fairly close to the edge. “If we get out of this alright, I’m going to spend an hour describing everything I hated about this to Kirk, and I’ll be using some colorful language.” Her smile faded. If they got out of this, her thoughts echoed what she had spoken. The woman shifted in the bed, pulling her legs in and under the covers, laying down. She propped her head up with one of the pillows, looking at her ‘husband’ with a raised eyebrow. “Are you worried I’ll get in the way?” She had taken his repetition of the phase to mean he specifically didn’t want her down there, for some reason. She sighed and rolled her eyes, looking up at the ceiling. “I know I’m not really useful in this mission, but I’m not going to let myself become a deadweight.” Might as well emphasize on dead, if she wasn’t careful. “You need to be careful.”
Spock nodded in agreement about Cam. “I am.” He still wasn’t completely sure about sharing the bed, but it seemed more logical than the couch. “I hope she is wrong.” He agreed, walking to the bed and sliding under the sheets. He left ample room between himself and the other Vulcan, looking over at her. “I hope we can all obtain a good nights rest.”
(Sounds good.)
“I know...” Jim rubbed his face, moving around the room slowly. He was clearly stressed by the situation. “I get why you keep calling his a bastard...” he took his hand off his face, still looking worn out and stressed. He stopped moving, looking at Abby again. “So this isn’t going to end any easier than the revolution that took place on Earth.” He said, more just putting words to his worries. At the accusation, which was completely true, he gave her a look. “I’m not-“ he stopped, shutting his mouth briefly. She was right, even if he wouldn’t completely admit it. “I know it’s not going anywhere.” He meant that as ‘I know you have the sense not to get overly attached to a local that we may be in a fight with tomorrow’ but it came out more aggressive than that. “I mean, you have enough sense.” He tried to clean up his mistake. “And I’m not trying to claim you. I know- .. I know we aren’t together.” Despite his deep down wish that they were. “I know you can look after yourself. You nearly took care of all of us during dinner, I know you can take care of yourself. That’s not at all what I mean.” James paused, glancing around the room, looking almost embarrassed. “I’ll get over it... I need to.” That was going to be as close as he got to saying he was jealous.

(Oh damn. I’m sorry man. Ive heard how ridiculous the system is, especially right now with all the demand. My state’s opening up Friday, so maybe yours will follow suit and you’ll be able to find a new job? Or be reemployed at your old one? That really sucks though. I hope you can get through the unemployment. I haven’t taken a crack at it after hearing about how busy they’ve been, and I’m not completely sure if I’d qualify with how little I’ve worked this year. If you need any researching help or anything I can try, and I wish you the best. I hope y’all open up soon so that you can get a job you somewhat like again.)

"Please do and let me watch with pleasure. Jim doesn't seem to listen me if he doesn't have a new voice telling him to cut it out every once in a while." Bones smiled, but the smile only lasted so long. "No I don't, Cam. I just don't want you to get hurt and have me need to fix you up. I enjoy spending time with you." That was the closest Cam would get from the doctor in the moment, saying that he liked her. "Eh don't worry about me. I've been through worst and lived to tell the tale. Jim on the other hand, I worry that he's unlike a cat with nine lives. That he maybe running out of lucky one of these days with all the stupid things he does. If he gets us out, I might have to talk some sense into him about Abigail. Because one of these days, she is gonna slip right through his fingers. And there's going to be nothing that he can do about it."
Abby gave Kirk a fairly nasty look at his comment about her calling the Admiral 'bastard'. She sighed and rolled her eyes. "You really don't." She muttered under breath, not really caring if he heard her. "Not by any accounts. By my reckoning, they are nearing the end of it, if the similarities between Earth and them are anything to go by. They should win within a year, if everything goes correctly." She pushed herself to lean up against the headboard. While moving some of her robe shifted, bringing more of Abby's shift into view. Once she noticed the look that Jim had sent her way, she outright giggled. "So you are jealous, that's what was up when you asked me to dance!" Abby teased slightly. However she sent him another dirty look at 'I know it’s not going anywhere.' Abby practically deflated at the mention of dinner. "I didn't. What I did was bring embarrassment and almost ripped apart a treaty. That's what I did. " Abby looked back at Jim and shook her head. "We both know that's not going to happen. We've got to figure out a way to work through the tension that we have going. Without me transferring because I've finally got a family on the Enterprise." She looked down at her feet, her voice barely auditable at the end.

{I'm pretty sure we won't open till at least the 14th I think. From what I've heard and my understanding. I'm not sure I'll be able to go to my old job of being a stagehand. I have extended family. and I mean fairly extended, who run the business that I work at and they have to make some really tough choices with them taking care both of the business and the tribe that's associated with the business. I had to redo the form three times within 8 day which is frustrating enough let alone all the crashes just trying to get logined. The first time I applied I didn't qualify due to the amount of hours I worked. But I should be getting something from the CARES ACT.
It's not like I want to be in a public setting right now because most of my family is in the high-risk category. I am kinda am too due sport induced asthma.}

(Oh jeez, I hope they’ll do alright through all of this. And that’s insane. The services are very clearly not capable of supporting such demand, and I don’t think they’re making serious changes to the system. That sucks that you’re stuck with dealing with that. At least you’ll be getting something though, that’s pretty good. Maybe you’ll get some more of things don’t improve, like a new relief act or something being put into place.
My parents are both in the high risk category too, I’m thankfully not. I dunno if I’m gonna shoot for a job, because they are high risk and I’m currently staying with them. They’re paying a great starting wage at the chicken plant, but I still deeply do not want to be involved in meat processing. Also, I’m really worried about bringing it home, even if I’d do alright. If you do decide to get a new job during this, I hope y’all are alright. Just be safe, whatever you do, especially with y’all being in the high risk category.)

Cam snorted, grinning now. “Will do.” The grin slipped though, and instead her eyebrows knit together. She watched him for a moment, blushing faintly. She looked at the sheets and started to fidget with them slightly, almost nervously. “I enjoy spending my time with you too... And I trust you to fix me up, if something happens.” She meant that as him being a good doctor, but also more. Similar to him, that was her way of confessing her feelings for the moment. “I’m still going to worry about you.” She stopped fidgeting at the mention of Kirk, sighing. “This may be the mission he needs that luck the most... hopefully it will last.” She finally looked at McCoy again. “Will you please talk some sense into him? I think the two of them could be good for each other. If he isn’t careful, you’re right. That’s the last thing they need.”
“Fantastic.” Jim commented on the mission, knowing that the conflict ending in a year was good for the planets inhabitants, but did not help his crew now. At the teasing, he huffed. “I’m not!” He rolled his eyes, as if her assumption was absurd, despite it being very much the truth. He watched Abby deflate, and his previous defensive attitude faded. “You didn’t. You spoke your mind. You gave them necessary information on our culture. You didn’t do anything wrong.” He argued, his tone softening some. “You definitely did not hurt the treaty.” If she was right about their position in all of this, the locals would not easily be prompted to rip up the treaty. Jim sighed a little, giving a small nod. “I know...” he paused, looking at her. “So you agree there is tension?” He sounded a little too excited about that, as if that definitely determined his hopes that Abby had similar feelings for him. He grew more solemn, then shook his head. “You don’t need to transfer. That’s not fair to you. That’s even not fair to your friends.” He turned away from her, thinking for a moment, beginning to move around the room once more. Finally, he stopped moving and turned to face her again. “What should we do about us? Should we try and put distance between us, or try and work through it?” He asked, the first suggestion of his being one he did not at all want. He had even rushed through it slightly, but the change in pace may not have been noticeable.

{I do too. They are a really big business and they do a lot for the community along with the entire business has something like 12000 employees. The location of the business I work at, they have something like 2000. I hope so.
I'm with my parents too. Sounds like we're all in the same boat. I would do ok, it's my parents and when my grandmother is with us that I'm worried about. What is it you don't like about meat processing? Would it cause you to push meat away or are you a vegetarian? I can understand why. My parents went in with my great aunt and uncle on half a cow. I wasn't involved with slaughtering it, but processing. God did I hate it..
I can't believe all the stupid people who are protesting the stay at home orders.. I understand you want to work again, but still...
Stay safe yourself. }

(Wow so they were really doing a lot. That always sucks even more, when businesses like that have to start making cuts. I really hope they can start up again after this. That’s definitely gonna hurt the community for sure. Numbers like that really trickle down.
It could push me to not eating meat. I mean, I’ve seen documentaries about the processing plants and I’ve been able to eat the meat since, but I feel like working there for hours and days at a time would do enough to push me over the edge. And I do enjoy my hot wings. Plus, my family has been working in food processing factories since the Depression, and I’ve heard horror stories about working for places like Lance and Kellelogs. I can’t imagine how meat could be. Yikes, I’m sorry you had to help with that.
The people I know who have fully heartedly supported the protest want more for others to go back to work so they can get their services. They aren’t as concerned about going back themselves. I still understand that things may be tight right now, but I just hope everyone doesn’t storm the bowling alleys and theaters..
Thanks man)

McCoy started to move his hand for a moment but then hesitated. Finally he finally made up his mind and laid his hand out palm up for Cam to take. He was silent for a moment before he snorted himself. "What do you think I am? Chopped liver? Of course I've been trying to talk to him about the Commander. It's like throwing myself into concrete with Jim. Or alternatively repeatedly smacking Jim's and my head against the wall, trying to get him to do something or anything really." Bones sighed again, although this time he was much quieter. "I'm a doctor, not a psychologist, they've got to go slow with Abigail. I may not know everything about the time she was off the Enterprise, but whatever happened it wasn't a party." McCoy looked at Cam with a small tight lipped smile, almost a frown really.
"Look James," Abby sighed and rubbed her face. This was exactly what she was trying to avoid at this moment. "I'm not going to repeat what I said, we both know something's there." She sighed and shook her head, wishing she knew what time it was. "I really don't want to have this conversation here and now. Because I don't know, what the answer is to your question. I know that I'm not in the right headspace to answer. I've been up for probably over 48 hours, I don't know what tomorrow holds, I've still got a lot figure out. I'm still trying to connect the dots." Abby shook her head slowly before looking at James. "After tomorrow, I know you won't look at me the same, if what I'm thinking goes down." She scooted down slightly before she slid down and let her shift and robe slide up her legs. She played with the one loose curl for a moment while staring off into space. This had been the most normal that James had seen Abby since she had came back to the Enterprise. James would be able to see that Abby wasn't fully in the present. It was like half of the cogs in her mind was still on alert, turning, and trying to figure everything before the morning.

(It's definitely going to be interesting
I'm very picky about the meat I eat due to texture so I completely understand. I can't stand most meat. The only stuff I can eat is bacon, ham, hamburgers if they aren't too thick and chicken if it isn't too fatty. I can eat hotdog but only if it's 100%. Even then I'm getting to the point where I don't like ground beef. But I will eat Elk, moose, or bison.
Add insult to injury, the poor cow took forever to die apparently and the meat so terrible and chewy. It's like you could taste its fear.
Oh my god, no offense to those people, that's stupid. Those areas are gonna have a huge influx of cases if the govs bow down too soon. Then they'll be the first to start to cry about losing loved ones and how the government didn't do enough to protect them. )

(My bad I feel asleep)
Cam watched McCoy lay his hand out. She smiled again, then took his hand softly. She shook her head, still smiling. “He’s that hard headed? I always thought you and Spock had a handle on him, or at least an easier handle.” Her smile faded again when Abby’s past missions were brought up. She sighed, looking concerned now for her friend. “I don’t know what exactly happened either... She’s definitely changed some, whatever happened. I just hope that more time on the Enterprise, or at least away from that past, may help heal her some. Kirk seems to rush into everything.. Hopefully he will slow down before he loses her...”
Jim watched her in silence as she spoke. For majority of the time, he was listening to her more than just watching. The robe moving did briefly distract him, but he quickly refocused himself. He frowned deeply as he realized just how exhausted and stressed she was at the moment. He looked to the floor, a little bit over from him, still listening to her. A guilty look flashed through his eyes, not wanting to put even more pressure on the woman because of their own tension. He stayed quiet after she had done speaking, thinking up what to say. He wasn’t sure what she meant about his view on her, but he just assured himself she was wrong. At least, she was wrong that his view would change. Kirk couldn’t be certain about how events would play out tomorrow. Finally, he looked up at her and nodded. “Alright. You’re right, now’s not the time. You need to rest.” He, more hesitantly, took a step to the door. Between unanswered questions and his own wants, he still didn’t want to leave her, but he knew he needed to. “I’ll... leave you be.” He turned to look at her again. “... Get some rest, if you can.”

(Oh well, if you still like bacon and ham, you’re not missing out on much lmao. I like chicken, but sometimes it can be so fatty that it’s like a slug and I completely understand, that is so gross. I’ve never had moose or elk, always kinda wanted to try that, that’s cool though.
Oh god that’s sad and a waste. I’m sorry you had to eat that, sounds not too great
Honestly, yeah I completely agree. Apparently Alabama is going to open up the 1st too, so by the 1st my town will be back to normal with Alabama and Georgia folks going to the movies and eating in dining rooms. I think my family is gonna hunker down for the next month again, just to see how things go. Saying we still have at least 100 active cases, I would be surprised if there wasn’t a ridiculous outbreak.)

(YES!Especially when the chicken is fatty isn't cooked well I can't eat it. Moose is the best meat that you could have. Because of what they eat, makes the meat sooo good. Elk's definitely better than beef, but not quite as good as moose.
It was and I don't eat steak. I could even taste it in sloppy joes.
That's crazy. Do you have the space for a garden? That way you don't have to go out as much. I wish you the best of luck. My county has about 300 cases.)

(Exactly! Also I’m really goofy about smoked chicken because it’s still pink and something in my head just goes ‘ahh this ain’t cooked’. Smoked chicken is so common around here I’ve just had to get used to it smh. Shoot I’m gonna have to try Moose sometime, must be super good. See if I can find some jerky somewhere or something.
That’s awful. Tasting something other than sauce in sloppy joe? That must’ve been strong dang
We have so much space for a garden that, had this not happened, we would’ve started selling. We already had plans to get into canning too and everything. Plus, we have friends and family a little farther into the country that have land so we’ve already made arrangements with them to help in late summer with picking in exchange for food during this. So if we can make it through until our stuff starts growing, we should be good to stay in for months. Thank you man, I hope the same for you. You have a good deal more than ours smh.)

(You're fine. )
"Sometimes we do and other times we don't. It just depends on his mood and what's going on in that mind of his." McCoy smiled once Cam took his hand, his eyes on where their hands met. "I agree. It's just a wait and see game at this point. Hate to say it, but this is the most normal I've seen her, being planet side, since she came back to the Enterprise. " He sighed, the smile going to the wayside. Bones frowned briefly. "What ever happens, happens. In the meantime, I suppose we should get some sleep. Tomorrow's going to be a busy day. With whatever goes down."
"I understand that you probably don't understand and probably don't agree with me. But this is my world, or was my world when I was taken away from the Enterprise." Abby sighed, referring to espionage and fighting. "I'll see you in the morning. And thanks." She nodded, bringing the paper and writing station out. It took her a good hour to get everything written from the evening's events. Once done with the writting, she stowed her papers in various secert pockets that she had made in her dress, mainly in the pants underneath the skirt. She took one look in the mirror trying to get most of the bobby pins out of her hair. Abby only spent about 5 minutes trying. In that five minutes, she managed to get about half of her hair down. Enough to sleep halfway decently anyways. Most of the mess still up was on top of her head. She sighed, slipping off the robe and properly crawled into bed. She blew out the candles and tried to sleep.

(Smoked? Never had it. I've never had moose jerky actually. Beyond venison and beef, I've never had any other type of jerky. Yea, now it's been deemed Dog food for my dog. But seeing as how she picked bision over moose for her birthday paddy, it'll be interesting.
Good for you. I hope yours and their crops grow well this season. Thanks, I'm just waiting till the seeds that we started pop up and gets warm enough for them to plant out side. We have ten acres and fairly big garden once everything gets going. The only thing we should have to head out for is dairy, anything out of season or we can't grow like bananas apples, stuff like that, chicken or lunch meat.)

The smile on McCoy’s face did seem to improve Cam’s mood a bit, but her worry for her friend still outweighed it. “I know. Maybe the mission has given her something to put her mind on.” She sighed. The mission had probably been too much on Abby’s mind. “You’re right. We should try and get some sleep.” She agreed, knowing it would be hard for everyone to sleep that night with the worries in their heads. The woman slipped out of the bed, letting go of her ‘husband’s’ hand. She went around the room and blew out all the candles except for the one closest to the bed. She moved back under the sheets and took McCoy’s hand again. “Goodnight. Sleep well.” She gave him a small, tired smile, then reached with her empty hand to the candle left and blew it out.
Jim stood near the door for a moment, taking in what she said, then nodded. This mission had him completely out of his element. She seemed more in hers. This had become her normal. “Good night.” He hesitated, then slipped through the door. Once inside his room, he closed the door between the two rooms as to give Abigail some privacy. Kirk spent about an hour moving about his room, thinking about the mission and about Abby. Finally, he decided to try and get some rest. The Captain moved around the room one last time and blew out every candle but the one near his bed. Then he walked over to his own bed, sitting on the edge for a moment, then eventually moved closer to the headboard. He laid down, suddenly realized how exhausted he was once he hit the bed. He only sat there for a moment before he could feel sleep reaching out to him. He shifted some, blew out the candle, and closed his eyes.

(Yeah, you’re not missing out. I’m not completely sure that smoked is ever fully cooked. And it always leaves the chicken almost fatty feeling.
Lmao y’all passed it to the dog, that’s pretty funny. Not wasteful though that’s smart
Thanks, I hope it warms up for you guys. That’s a good bit of land. Y’all should do good with that, if the weather and bugs permit. Yeah, all the meats and fruits and stuff could be an issue. You could always do canned chicken and such I guess but it’s not the same. Meals for the next few months are gonna be something else I swear)

(How do we want to have everyone wake up?)
"Night Cam. Sleep well." McCoy echoed. It warmed McCoy's cold soul to see that Cam had taken his hand after leaving the bed. Even in the dark, he was smiling.
It took some time before Abby's brain to become quiet enough to even think about sleeping. Which lead to tossing and turning.
