This is just a place for Bearpaw and I to chat, rp, and get caught up. Beyond that, anyone is welcome to jump in, just ask. bearpaw123 Plots We could recycle the humans turn into dogs (Also I came up with another plot. It’s not fully formed, doubt you’re surprised by that. Basically, somehow someone ends up either getting infected or controlled or something by an alien. I was thinking one or two of the six, maybe a few other just random folks, like Sulu or someone. The crew doesn’t know who, but the aliens know who they are. They sabotage the ship, maybe to redirect or just to destroy it or something. I don’t know if there’d be any visible queues, like the Black Oil in eyes from X-Files, or like a rash or something. They would just act a little different, more aggressive or blunt or something. The crew that isn’t infected have to figure out who it is and get it out of them before the ship is really messed up. This idea literally just came from some quarantine game I played all afternoon, so it’s not fully formed in the least. The game basically has 8 players, 2 are aliens and they know who the other is. They go through test to figure out who is the alien, and then ‘hit the button’ to shoot who they think the alien is out of the ship before time runs out. In short, that’s the game if you were wondering plot origin. Of course, we probably wouldn’t shoot yknow like Kirk or T’Aimnu out into space so it would have to be something that’s curable. And I’m thinking it’s something that just kind of pops up, not something brought in from a recognizable source like a planet or a supplies pick up. That’s the idea though, and we can add it to the list if nothing else. Expand if we are more interested in this.) The one probably most applicable to the current time would be just kinda like a catch up thing. So I have two separate plot ideas in a sense for this one, and it’s not completely formed in the least. Basically the difference is full group and like the three groups if that makes sense. So the full group one would be like the six come in for basically a debriefing of sorts, probably the morning after Kirk stays over. Like a ‘can we all collective decide on what the heck that was’ thing or something of that sorts. Abby and T’Aimnu share more information on their Section 31 involvement, since the others don’t know much about it. I feel this would be the shorter version of this plot, from what I’ve thought up, since it would be a little more just about Section 31. So if we are shooting for shorter, and want this idea, I’d go with this version and modify it however we need. The other version would be more individualized and I have very loose ideas on this one, but more, if that makes sense? So it could be fit in during this same time. It’s like the couples I guess. I’m thinking we definitely stick with the Jim stays over with Abby, if we go with this. They talk about the mission, and about Abby’s connection with Section 31 and some of what she experienced. Kirk talks about like regrets during the mission or how he was blind sided by it. Basically they talk some things through. For Cam and McCoy, I’m thinking Cam does something completely stupid in Engineering and ends up in medbay. Like the equivalent of hitting a hammer to your hands because you’re not paying attention, yknow? Her mind’s still stuck on the guy she hit over the head on the mission, and she ends up there because of that. I wanted to make that weigh on her conscience anyways, whether we do this plot or not. Maybe they talk that over or something I dunno. If Kirk ends up staying over with Abby, I’m thinking Spock can’t get a hold of him, then finds T’Aimnu trying to find Abby as well and they get to talking? They talk about Section 31, but maybe also about their behaviors on the mission? This one would probably last longer, so if we were interested in this plot of overall debriefing on what happened and Section 31, but we want a longer version, I’d do this. Some more plots that are not as related to the old plot are: I was looking at the descriptions of The Orville episodes on Hulu and I got a couple of ideas without watching. One idea is based off the time capsule show, but maybe without the simulation thing off the cellphone. Just something simple. We could do a different time period. I don’t know how long this plot would be, I’d have to rewatch the episode, but it would be kinda simple and easy with the Enterprise just reacting to whatever’s in the capsule. Another Orville idea could be something involving the simulator, like that one with Bortus, but absolutely nothing like that. Maybe the ship goes through some strange energy and the most recent simulations come to life. So there’s like Napoleon, a cowboy, and some weird alien animals all roaming around the ship. Somehow not as bad as what they’ve just gone through, but still pretty hectic. {Do we want the relationships to be slow burners or come along much more quickly? Or something in between? Do you remember any of the songs that we stated were the ship songs for Jim and Abby? Because if not, I have a few songs that would now work? Like half a dozen that I'll be listing. Better Man by Little Big Town Peter Pan by Kelsea Ballerini What Ifs by Kane Brown Heartbeat by Carrie Underwood It Don't Hurt Like It Used To- Billy Currington Remember that one plot that we did, involving half of the group getting turned into dogs? What do you think about possibly reviving it and puting a new spin on it? } {Quick plot not very well thought out for the ST part. They get sent on a mission far out of Fed territory, they go to a bar get information, Kirk is jealous. And some how they get stuck in a interplanetary war, or maybe gun fight and then Kirk finds out about her being a Commander maybe and then maybe how she was apart of Section 31? We could do the human turn dog plot first.} think the two best episodes we could use the plot of would be of the series final or Cupid's Dagger.

I’m doing pretty good man! Recently just been kinda chilling and watching tv and such and I started rewatching the old Star Trek series, and it led me on the hunt for this place again. It’s good to hear from you again too! I wasn’t sure if you’d still be on, to be honest. Thought I’d give it a go though.

"What do you think?" Kate growled uncomfortablely. "Do you think this is the most comfortable thing to wear long term?" She glared at Logan. Her tank underneath was soaked with sweat, but it was obvious that she had a sports bra on under the tank. She struggled with the last sleeve.

Logan nearly laughed at that, instead snorting a little. “Boy, do I get that...” He did know about uncomfortable get ups. Anytime he ever decided to fight with the X-men, there was always a uniform to go with it. If it was always up to Logan, he’d fight in something timeless and comfortable. Or really, anything but the color coordinated designs he was typically stuck in. He could tell she had a tank top on, and what little, slight ounce of gentleman he had in him was relieved.

Good! Honestly with the lack of good long term rpers, I've almost quit. How's the virus going in Georgia? That’s too bad man. I kinda glanced through here before you replied and I could kind of tell it was low on the old energy. Whatever was going on with the old website a couple of years ago was some energy that I kinda miss. The virus is pretty bad in the Atlanta area and in this one low population area, Albany (apparently someone from New York came down for a large funeral, infected like 100 people, and then through that infected the whole town before covid was even a thing in Atlanta? It’s crazy) but around here we don’t have a whole lot of cases. I think it’s about 100 or so, but honestly testing is very scarce here so the numbers are rough. I’m just staying at home really, finishing up some classes and considering taking some over the summer. I won’t be doing a lot of work for a while, maybe a little bit of picking for my dad later in the season. Dunno how much is gonna come up with all this weird weather though, so may be free for the next five months. How have things been in Washington?

Kate grumbled, slightly white after her efforts. She leaned back, for a moment. But she then looked at her leg after sitting up too quick. She did notice the wound ha since quit bleeding and sort of started to heal together. She closed her eyes. "I'm going to need to get something to eat soon. If I don't then it's going to slow down healing. Besides I don't feel exactly comfortable here." She slowly started to bring her good leg underneath her to try and balance herself.

I completely agree. Totally.
That's absolutely berserk. We have about 250 cases in my city. Definitly a bit worrying. Not sure if you saw the pictures of Seattle, but it's an absolute madhouse and ghost town. From what I've heard being the epicenter of the west coast. It's ok. It been weird getting to classes online.

Abigail looked like she could have been a bull on a rampage and could murder the Admiral from her glare alone. If she had her way she would have never seen the bastard Admiral again. "Yes, of course Admiral. I will send you the logistics as soon as they are settled." She gritted out, her tone had no warm in it. It was completely made of ice.
"Good I should not hope to see another outburst from you, Smith." Cartwright continued, knowing that his point had been made clear to Abby. To him, she was only an attack dog to be kept on a chain. A short chain at that. "That aside I have no more information to share. Read everything Smith, given that she will be the ranking officer on the ground, should things go wrong. I hope to hear from you soon. Good luck with that one. She's quite a handful. And with the mission. You'll need it. " He added motioning to Abby, which only served to piss her off more. "Godspeed." Cartwright smiled and signed off with a nod.
The moment the Admiral disappeared from sight, Abby did not hold anything back. "Damn it. Damn that bastard." She nearly shouted a few more choice words while punching Kirk's desk twice and leaning over it. Which of course hurt her hand more than the desk. Not that she noticed the stinging and slightly broken skin. She rubbed her face in frustration. "Nothing but a sneaky slithering slime bucket of a man." Of course Kirk had never seen language like this from Abby. She turned around to face Kirk and lean again against his desk. Looking at her feet, Abby shook her head after the initial anger had disappeared. The woman looked like she should shoot something and that something was Cartwright. "Hell, I knew I should have seen this coming. Captain, I'm sorry to have to drag you into this. I knew I should have requested some other ship. Then again the bastard, knowing him, he probably arranged for my posting here anyways." She sighed, running her hands through her hair even though it caused more hair to come free from her styling. She looked down to the screen. Using her body to block Kirk's view- sticking out her behind of course not that it was on purpose-, she typed a few commands into the computer. She then grabbed a PADD and scrambled to write the coordinates down before exiting out of the interface. Not that Kirk would be able to enter this particular interface of course.
Abby stood slowly and finally took a good look at her bloodied hand. "Bloody hell, so it has begun again." She stared at her hand for a moment and sighed. It took a moment, but once she broke the stare on her hand, she seemed to deflate slightly and came back to the current moment. She grabbed the PADD and held it out for Jim to take it. "Have helm adjust to these coordinates. I wouldn't go top speed, but we do need to go with some haste." Abby resigned herself to having to take a few steps back and rolled her eyes, in regards to the mission. "Bastard. If it's alright, I'm heading to my quarters to do some reading and planning?" Abby asked, looking between Jim and the PADD. She still wasn't happy which Kirk could easily pick up on. "By my guess we should be there in 24 or so hours at warp 4, though I could be wrong. I'll need 12 hours alone for prep, and briefing the others that I pick. If the prick's prior missions are anything to go by." Abby added softly with a frown. At this point, the woman was just waiting for James to take the PADD so she could run, calm herself down, and prep.

Logan could tell her healing was slowing down, even before she brought it up. At least it had quit bleeding. “Well I can’t exactly drag you into a Burger King...” he grumbled. Sarcasm for him was like the typical persons ‘um’ or ‘uh’. Right now this sarcastic remark was more a process of his thinking instead of an act of aggression. He could go get her food and leave her near a restaurant, but at this point he wasn’t so sure he should be going in a restaurant. He looked pretty suspicious. Still, it was better than carrying her into the nearest gas station and buying up all the Slim Jim’s. He could go into a gas station... “Where’s the nearest gas station?”

Every major city is starting to look more and more like something out of an apocalypse. The main road south into Atlanta looks like it does on the Walking Dead poster right now. Please stay safe man. Online classes have been weird, they’re hard to find for me. Hopefully the layouts and development of classes will get easier to use.

Kirk watched the exchange between Cartwright and Abby. He had decided he really didn’t like the Admiral. The way he was talking to a member of Jim’s own crew got under his skin, and the crew member being Abby made it worse. He grimaced a little at the mention of luck, for some reason feeling like he may actually need it more than ever before. He forced a quick, polite smile, more of a lip twitch than anything. As Cartwright disappeared, so did this smile.
Jim was briefly caught up in his own mind, trying to figure some things out. When he heard Abby begin to let loose, he absentmindedly turned to her. He came out of his thoughts when he heard words he’d never heard come from her before. For a brief moment, Jim wasn’t sure if he was standing in the room alone with Abby, or if McCoy had just walked in and stubbed his toe. He watched her punch his desk and took a step closer, knowing she’d hurt her hand. “Abby-“ He started, but stopped when she leaned on the desk and seemed to have already been hurt again. Jim wanted to know what had happened, what had caused Abby so much pain that it would change her personality even more when she saw the man. “We’re one of the best of the fleet.” He was confident with his ship, sure, but after Abby’s reaction to the mission, he wasn’t sure any ship in the fleet could handle it. “It’s better you’re on this ship than on one that wouldn’t be able to handle it.” He tried to reassure her.
Kirk tried to look around her. He gave the attempt a few moments, but realized it could get her into trouble if he did know, and that it was pretty impossible to see to the information anyways. He let out a soft sigh and leaned on a table somewhere near him, waiting in silence. James really wanted to know what had happened, but he knew now, if ever, was no time to ask. He watched her deflate, wishing he could help in some way, but he knew that whatever had happened would not be fixed in a single conversation.
When she finished, Jim took the PADD. When he did, he did not look at it, his eyes instead watched her. “Yeah, go ahead and get started.” He finally looked down at the PADD, for just a moment. “I’ll tell them warp four.” He spoke softly. “If you need anything, let me know.”

"No crap Sherlock." Kate sighed. "I don't know. I wasn't paying attention when I came here." Kate shook her head in thought. "My house is about half an hours walk away here. I should have some clothes that should fit you. And Carter's gonna kill me for wreaking the suit. But I'll be able to change." She added, thinking out loud. The woman was finally able to stand up. "Carp." She sighed, looking down at her jacket. She knew that she had to put it back on. But of course the speedster didn't want to have to lean down to grab it.

Honestly I feel that. I agree with you that there needs to be some changes and that these changes are totally achievable. I just hope that when this is all over we as a planet remember what we’ve learned from these events. Those people that are calling humans the virus though scare me because they remind me of the villain of the first Kingsman movie lmao.

Logan grinned slightly at her response, then nodded. Well, searching for a gas station probably wasn’t a good idea. He nodded again, going to help her up, but was too late. He had the feeling they needed to keep moving, anyways. “Alright, lead the way.” He wasn’t sure she would make it all that way without help, so he meant more guide than to physically lead. Logan noticed her look at her jacket, then reached down and grabbed it, more because he wanted to keep moving than to help her.

(Timeskip?)
Abby sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. Looking first at the PADD and then at Kirk, was when she finally spoke. "Jim I know what's going on in that mind of yours. You want to know everything that went on in the past. And you can't, like I said it's on a need to know basis. And thanks for not bombarding me with questions. I just wish that I didn't have to involve you, yourself and your crew." Abby sighed, looking back at the ground for a moment. "This is messed up." Shaking her head again, she gave Jim a small pat on the arm. "Thank you. As soon as I figure a few logistical things out I'll let you know." She added softly.
Abby started out of the room, but stopped in the doorway. "I appreciate it and I'm sorry for dragging everyone into this." She stated softly, looking at Kirk. Abby sighed looking back at the ground once again, and then continued to her quarters. "T'Aimnu with me. I need you." She sighed once on the turbolift.
T'Aimnu took a few moments to register what was going on. She frowned slightly for a moment looking between the Captain and her friend. "Captain permission to leave the bridge?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. There was only one thing that could have raised such a reaction from her human friend. And it wasn't good.

(Sure man. You start?)
Jim’s head was, in fact, riddled with questions. He was worried for Abby and what she had been through. He was worried what would happen to her now. He was worried about what would happen to his ship, his crew and his friends. “I get it.” He responded softly. He knew she was not in a place to tell him this information, but it didn’t mean it stopped him from wondering. He watched her as she walked towards the turbo lift, looking troubled, then glanced over at T’Aimnu. He just gave her a nod as a response, caught in his own thoughts. Then he walked to his chair and sat down.
James’ mood earned a similar reaction from Spock as T’Aimnu had had. Spock knew the Captain well enough to know something serious was up, and it had started as soon as Lieutenant Smith had been reassigned to the Enterprise.

Changes definitely need to happen. I haven't seen those movies. They do. I’ve only seen the first, but the villain basically wanted to wipe out everyone but the upper class so that the earth could heal itself. It was a pretty good movie, it’s available on Sling if you’re interested.

T'Aimnu nodded and just about ran after her friend.
After about four hours of being sequestered in Abby's quarters, T'Aimnu left. She had been apprised of the situation of being recalled into service.
After twelve hours, Abby's room was a mess, she had a map of the planet up. She had notes tagged all around the place. The woman hadn't even begun to unpack. Her bags stacked neatly off to the side. Currently, she was staring at the map. The woman only had begun to even begin to understand the cultural patterns of the planet. At the moment from what Abby had discerned, they didn't too much diffent than the Federation, if only behind in technology. She hadn't contacted James with what little knowledge of logistics she had figured out. She was currently staring at the map and notes.

During those twelve hours, Jim had spent most of it on the bridge. He had left briefly to go back to his office, which Spock encouraged him to do. That had only lasted about thirty minutes. Now a little over twelve hours had passed, and Jim still hadn’t heard from Abby. He sighed, then decided to leave the bridge again.
Kirk made his way down to Abby’s quarters. The entire time, his mind was fishing through what little he knew to try and come to some conclusion about this mission. He would learn more, if nothing else but through his ships future experiences, so he would just have to wait. When he got to the Lieutenant’s door, Jim pressed the quarters bell, hoping his disturbance wouldn’t throw her off too much.

Logan and Kate made their way to her house. Logan tried his best to help her, but ended up more just helping her maintain her balance than anything. Once they reached her house, he smirked a little. “Hope Sabretooth didn’t eat your keys.” He wouldn’t have been surprised if that oversized cat pain in the neck wouldn’t get distracted by a set of keys. He was glad they had kept moving, he felt that they probably had lost Sabretooth by now for sure. Or at least for now, knowing his nemesis.

"Come." Abby sighed. Her back was to Kirk, with her arms crossed in front. Honestly, she really hadn't been paying attention to time. She had been incredibly focused on figuring out what was going. "Generally, I'm not fascinated by other cultures. But this one is different. I can't figure out why. Perhaps it's reminiscent of ancient earth in the 18th century. Although woman's dress isn't as restrictive as it was on earth." She mused. "Perhaps that's why war is going on. Or will."

Kate dug around in her pockets for a moment before finding her keys entered her home. Speeding up the stairs, she came down in about two seconds later with an extra pair of sweatpants and t-shirt for Logan. "I hope they fit, after all they are men's. I'll be right back. Make yourself at home. There's a washroom over there." With that she disappeared back upstairs into her bedroom and bathroom.
