Abby nodded, but tilted her head away from the crowd. She also took a few steps away, waiting for him to follow. "I've found something interesting information. Follow me." She stated quietly. She didn't want to arouse anymore attention. Once she was sure that he was following, she picked up her pace and the front of her dress to not trip. Some how she found a small space away from the crowd. Pulling James into the small space, there was barely enough room for the two of them with her dress. "Have you figured any new information about this whole situation?" She asked, still flushed from dancing and the drinks. For as much as the woman had to drink, Abby still had her head about her.
"If you are asking me to dance. Then yes. I would like to." T'Aimnu nodded. "It seems that this dance will cause less confusion." She nodded.

Jim followed her away from the crowd, finally noticing just how flush Abby looked. She looked to be having more fun than he was. He followed her to the small area, fitting in close to her. He hadn’t realized just how big the dress was until he was in the tight spot with her. “I’ve only really learned about their military system.” And how much the military liked to drink and enjoy a good dance. “What information did you find out?”
Spock nodded in agreement, then moved a little closer to the dance. He waited for T’Aimnu to join him. When she did, he attempted to dance in the locals style. It took him a moment to put his notes into actions, but finally he produced something similar to what those around them were doing.

"Well how much do you remember about the American revolution?" Abby asked in a hushed tone. She kept glancing at where they had come into the little cove. In the midst of being on guard, she hadn't realized that she still held onto Kirk's hand. Abby had under any circumstance, be caught. "This needs to be quick, there may have been a rumor about how I got my position, and it involves you in the most unsavory manner even for us."
At the appropriate time, T'Aimnu took Spock's hand. She managed to replicate the moves, but for her in a very unsatisfactory way. "It amazes me to no end how much time they must to appropriate to learning dancings." T'Aimnu mused, noting some of the grace of the dance.

Kirk thought about this for a moment, then shrugged a shoulder. “I’m familiar with it.” He knew enough about it to get by, and then some. “Please don’t tell me their going through something similar..” The similarities between the two planets were becoming eerie. He didn’t realize she was still holding his hand. “Already?” That didn’t come out right. James was used to rumors floating around about him, but it had been a while since any had even mentioned Abby. Plus, they had only been on the surface for a few hours. Yet, rumors had already been started. The locals were truly like humans. “I’m sorry..” he sighed, feeling responsible for any stories that had been started about Abigail.
Spock wasn’t having the easiest time with the moves. “Indeed. It’s fascinating how much thought they put into it.” He replied, glancing around at the others briefly, then focusing back on T’Aimnu. Between the touch and the moves, he had to focus on what he was doing. “Much more could be achieved if their culture did not focus so heavily on the matter.”
Eventually, Cam’s group started to dissipate. Some left to find their husbands, and some of their husbands found them. When one of the last women she was talking to left, Cam decided to as well. She searched for her ‘husband’ and once she found him, walked up to him with a smile. “Hi dear,” the last word came out in a slightly higher tone than usual for her. She thought adding it on would make them less suspicious, but she felt more so now. “How are you enjoying this dance so far?”
(Also I have a sliver of an idea for a later time. The original series is actually on right now, and it gave me just the slightest idea. It would be a decent ending for something, probably not this plot but I figured we could add it to the list. I also feel like we discussed doing something similar earlier? I’m not sure?
Basically something happens and Kirk, at least him I dunno about the others, appears to be dead in some way. I dunno if he’s been poisoned or if he’s missing in action or something. Anyways, he appears dead so Spock becomes Captain, despite there being some sort of a question on whether he’s actually dead or not. I dunno who else is alive, it really all just depends on the plot or if people actually need to be ‘dead’ other than Kirk. Spock would need to be alive for sure. There’d be the whole mission beforehand, whatever happens, that we would still have to decide about. It would create group drama because the question of Jim’s death is still around, as well as problems on the ship. I’ll look up the episodes name in case you want to read up on the original plot. I just figured we could add it to the plot list.)

(Sounds like a good start. You're right, I'm pretty sure we discussed something similar in the past.)
Abby just about cut Kirk off by placing the hand that wasn't holding Kirk's hand, on his mouth to keep him from talking. In an effort to not be seen, she pushed herself away from the opening. But in her effort, she pushed herself against James and the wall. Biting her lip, she looked between James and the echo of footsteps. Abby was amazing herself at how well she stepped into this role she had created. And how well she fit in for once. One the footsteps ended, she slowly removed her hand and took the smallest step back. She bit her lip to calm both her breathing and her racing thoughts. "We the French as to their being Americans at the end of the war. The middle resources belong the former regime." Abby started to ramble nervously, she had a lot to process.
"Agreed, although, this one of the few ways the young woman and men elite would be able to spend large amounts of time socializing." T'Aimnu nodded. "I should hope that after this dance, it should suffice social decorum. Wouldn't you agree?"
McCoy looked over at Cam with a slightly up turned eyebrow, but with an overly warm smile. He stood in greeting. "Hey Darling. Yes I am. We were having a fantastic conversation about physiological differences from different species. How are you enjoying it? I would hope you found something interesting? Perhaps friends?" He asked, a glass of something like whiskey in his hand.

(It seemed familiar...)
Jim’s eyes widened when she placed her hand on his mouth. He gave her a confused look, trying to move away for a brief moment. When she moved closer, he looked down. His eyes widened a little more when he realized how close they were. James was used to being close to women, but now was not the time. Being this close to Abby, of all women, made him more anxious than usual. For once, his thoughts embarrassed him. When he heard footsteps pass, he understood why she had done that, and relaxed a little. When she removed her hand, he finally spoke again. “So we’re going to have to face the British, or their version of the British? If the alliances is formed?” He asked, already knowing the answer. He just wanted to move his thoughts out of the gutter. Between his own drinks, and the proximity, he wanted to get out of there soon.
“Another similarity to Earth’s past.” Spock added in agreement. The exchange of observations was helping him to relax, even if he was not enjoying the dance. “I agree, yes.” He nodded. The locals already knew they were different, but this dance should have made them more agreeable.
“Is that so? I’m sure that was fascinating.” Cam replied warmly. “It’s interesting for me as well. I was invited to join a group of other married women.” Her tone was slightly less warm, and the look in her eye showed that nothing about the conversations were interesting. At least she had found company, though. “I’ve learned a lot about married life for the locals.”

{I know...}
Abby could definitely feel the tension between her and the man she pulled into the small room. And for once her thoughts weren't on the mission on hand. It showed with her eyes, darting to Kirk's own eyes and lips. A few moments later, she looked away. "Yes, it's beginning to look that way. Oh Jim, there's so much that doesn't make sense. I mean I've worked with less, but it was so much more clearer." She sighed. "Any other clues to add to the puzzle? Because we should probably be getting back to the group. At least it's starting to thin slightly." Abby mused, looking at the entrance for any possible passerby's.
"Good. Dealing with humans is more than enough excitement for the day, let alone a brand newly civilization's quirks." T'Aimnu agreed. As the music ended, all the couples separated. It took the Vulcan a moment to see what was going on before she separated from Spock and curtsied. After following the examples of the other women.
"A bit of cultural exchange is good for both sides. Would you prefer to dance Darling?" McCoy put out. Both of them were not happy about having to work together. But they have to keep the act up for the sake of the mission. "Or perhaps wish to retire early?" He wasn't sure what the woman was after. Especially since there was a bunch of stuff that needed to be figured out.

“I don’t really have any more pieces to add. I was getting a feeling that this was all incredibly familiar, and your information confirms that.” Jim replied, his mind still split between the mission in front of them and the woman near him. “I don’t like this mission, Abby... There’s something... Wrong.” He had gotten a similar off feeling during far away missions, but nothing this strong. He glanced out towards the entrance and nodded. “That’s a good sign.” He agreed, then looked back at her. Some part of him didn’t want to leave, despite everything else dragging him away from her and to the mission at hand. This part was visible in his eyes, unbeknownst to him, as he looked at Abby. In any other situation, he would have acted on that small part. At least he would’ve given it a respectful shot. This was Abby, and some other part of him stopped him from doing that. Abby meant more than that, even if he wouldn’t admit that, not even to himself.
Spock found the comment incredibly agreeable. Humans, while interesting, could also wear the Vulcan out. These locals were very similar in that aspect as well. He could spend years studying them, but in short intervals. When the other dancers stopped, the Vulcan looked around for a hint as of what to do next. He followed the lead of the other males, then took a step towards T’Aimnu again. The distance was enough so they could talk without raising their voices, but a much more comfortable distance for the both of them. “Have you seen Jim and Abby?”
“I would agree.” Cam replied, now not looking at him. She saw Spock and T’Aimnu, but where were Kirk and Abby? At the question, she looked back at him, briefly falling out of character. Her previous warm look was now replaced with a faintly concerned one. She nodded silently, biting her lip, not really paying attention to the question. “Yes.. that..” Then she snapped back into the present. Had he called her darling? A genuine smile grew on her face, as she forgot for a moment the hoax. Then she remembered, and the smile went away briefly, before a fake one replaced it. “I’d love to dance, if I can pull you away from your discussion.”

That look that James was giving Abby, forced her to do everything to get away from the man. Abby definitely did not want to leave this little bit of peace. She swallowed, trying get her vocal cords to work and her breathing to calm down. "Yea ok." She stated softly, barely even loud enough for Jim to hear her. Given that with every small movement it felt like her chest could make an appearance. She bit her lip once more. If it wasn't for all of her drinks that Abby had, she wouldn't have even thought about her next move. Which of course was to lean into Jim, and leave a gentle peck on his check. She stopped to stare at the man before turning around to make sure she had a clean get away. Abby slowly let her hand slide away from Jim's. She took two steps. The woman was very heistant on leaving, if only to not get caught. After all Abby didn't any more gossip to start.
T'Aimnu nodded and followed his lead. "I was just wondering about that. I had last seen Abby with her Dinner partner. They seemed quite taken with each other. The Captain was not happy. I believe his name was Major John Andre. I wish there was a way to speak with more privacy." Sure she hadn't learned a lot, but playing lookout for her friends was the most important thing for safety that she could do at the moment. If Abby and Andre were missing then she would be more concern.
"Anything for you darling." McCoy nodded, his southern accent coming out at times. "If you'll excuse me men. My wife needs my attention." The man had completely missed Cam's genuine smile, given that he took a quick glance around for Abby and Jim. Last time he saw the woman, she was with the military man. On the other hand, not seeing his friend and Captain was even more concerning. Being the gentleman that he was, he offered his arm to Cam in the same fashion that the native men had. "May I have this dance?"

Jim hadn’t realized how his breathing had increased until Abby was calming her own down. He realized his own feelings and looked away. Half a second later, he felt her up against him more and the peck on his cheek. He immediately turned to look at her, the look back again, and intensified. He stood there for a moment, caught in his emotions, just looking at her. James brought his hands towards her waist, to rest up some from them. As she did, he slipped away, leaving him looking as confused as he had been all night. He watched her slip out, taking a step towards her, wondering if he had done something wrong. That was a new feeling, wondering if he’d misstepped on the well worn path of James. T Kirk’s flirting techniques. His confusion turned to disappointment as he realized why she had slipped away. He waited a few moments, then came out as not to raise suspicions. When he left the small area, he headed towards where he’d last seen the two Vulcans. Jim was in no mood to play diplomat with married men.
“The Captain’s dissatisfaction does not surprise me.” Spock mused. He had seen Andre with Abby, and could tell there was some chemistry there. He knew from observation that Jim, the other competing male, would not agree with this. “I agree. This ballroom is very public.” He looked around, noticing the dwindling crowds. “Perhaps we will soon be able to leave for the night.” He suggested, assuming they’d be able to speak freely after.
Cam, despite remembering this was all a hoax, was a bit thrown off her game. Between the use of darling again and the southern accent, her cheeks had turned a faint shade of pink. She smiled slightly at the other men, trying to keep up the charade without forgetting it was exactly that, a charade. She looked somewhat surprised at the arm, but took it in the same fashion the women did. “You may.” She replied, smiling again. The blush, which had started to fade, had now come back. The woman looked away from her ‘husband’, trying to hide her blush until it faded.

"Anything to please the Misses." McCoy nodded, making a show of it to his fellow medical men. As he lead Cam out to the dance, he paused a moment to take in the dance. He definitely didn't want to make a fool out of himself or Cam. "Do you think we're selling it?" The doctor asked, leaning down to whisper into Cam's hair. He really wasn't acting. If they were actually together, Bones would probably be doing of this stuff anyways. Becuase after everything, he was a good, old, southern gentleman through and through. And the man would do just about anything for the people he loved.
"Were you informed of our accommodations by chance? For the entire group. " T'Aimnu asked. "If not then it would work well to get settled for the night. After all it has been a long day, preparing for this mission." She asked, looking at her supposed mate with an eyebrow. "And we do not want to tire ourselves for tomorrow given it such a... special day." She remarked, emphasizing the bloodshed that would probably occur apon their leaving.
Abby was nearly beet red, her hand over her heart. It took her a few moments to compose herself even with using her fan as she entered the ballroom again. Given that Andre had been distracted, Abby had enough witts on to get back to the business of information getting. Nearly all of the males had a buzz. As she headed towards the group that dissolved, there were actually more males. Abby definitely was thankful that she could use some of her newly acquired fans skills. Soon enough she was draped over Andre's lap. She was actually having a great. Abby on occasion giggled and covered her face with the fan. While indeed there was chemistry between her and Andre, it seemed to become just an act for Abby. One that Kirk would be to see fairly easily. Towards the end of the nigth the two had shared many a dances and whispered nothings. Abby was starting to pretend to be a little sloshed, if only for an act.

Cam paused as well, forcing herself to focus on the motions of the dance. The last thing she needed was to make a fool out of herself in front of everyone because her ‘husband’ had thrown her off. That attempt, which had been a good one, melted away. Her face darkened once more as he leaned down, and she went completely still for just a second. He had to have known, she kept thinking, what this was doing to her. What it was doing to her act. She got herself together, then nodded a little. She finally looked at him, since it would’ve been the easiest way to speak without anyone else hearing. “I don’t think they suspect a thing.” She replied, leaning up and a little closer in hopes he wouldn’t see her reaction. She was starting to get a grip on herself again.
“Not entirely, no. I expect it would be near the room you and the Lieutenant Commander dressed in. It seems most likely that they would select rooms near each other, for our own comfort. Possibly our’s, as well as Doctor McCoy’s room, would be bigger to accommodate two.” Spock replied with what little he could guess about their lodging on the planet. “Agreed. We should be... fully prepared for the events.” He watched as Jim arrived back. “Captain, how has the dance been?” Jim looked incredibly disappointed. The human kept glancing around the ballroom. “Confusing.”
Jim remained with the Vulcan’s. He almost went to speak with Bones about his situation, but saw he was busy with his own fake wife. Eventually, he saw Abby again in the thinning crowds. In his head, which was now about as clouded as it could get for him, her sitting on Andre’s lap was a good explanation as to what had happened earlier. At first he was surprised, and assumed the best. The best was the correct answer, to a point. Nothing was going on, and she was merely collecting information. Then, between the drinks and the earlier events of the day, he started to doubt that. The hours he watched them was actually, at best, a few minutes. Time seemed to drag on for him at that moment in time. Spock could tell something was wrong with Jim, and he followed his gaze to Abby across the room. The Vulcan gave a look to T’Aimnu. This wasn’t going to turn out well..
“Fascinating, but tiresome.” Spock muttered to T’Aimnu, referring to their previous conversation about observing the human crew. James didn’t stir from his thoughts, which may have been a good thing for the Vulcan. He glanced around again, seeing McCoy and Cam attempting to dance. He couldn’t see Cam’s blush, or any other indications that the act wasn’t going perfectly according to plan. In a sense, he had expected more trouble from them than Jim and Abby. Between having Cam in a dress, McCoy on a diplomatic mission in a Dress uniform, mingling and a fake marriage, he thought they would be the trouble. “Fascinating.” He repeated, then nodded to the two, trying to redirect T’Aimnu’s attention.
Finally, Jim spoke up. “I’m going over there..” he muttered, taking a step towards the two he had been watching. Spock raised an eyebrow, focusing back on the Captain. “Why?” He genuinely did not understand what Kirk could do in this moment. The human didn’t look back at his friend, instead just stopping again. “I don’t know...” he sighed, beginning to fester once more.

"Good." McCoy nodded. At the end of the dance, the doctor did the customary bow. McCoy overall didn't do terribly and he didn't step on Cam's toes. Which in his mind, was a win win overall. "Would you like to keep dancing or check in with the Captain, Cam?" He asked, of course by this point, he was trying to find his friends. Cam was going to be the death of him. But that was only if they had to keep this act up for much longer.
"I should hope so. That would be only logical to keep groups near each other."T'Aimnu scowled as much as a Vulcan could. "Fasinating indeed." She saw that they were heading towards a trainwreck. Up until this point, the Captain had fallen in line with the plan. They couldn't afford for anyone to fall out of line. "Captain, Commander. I really think it wise, to turn in for the night and thank our hosts for such a fascinating night. After all we've had a long day." She hoped that Spock would find the meaning behind her words. "And perhaps tomorrow even bigger." The female Vulcan was being to worry about her friend. Abby had been up for over 24 hours straight. She tugged slightly on Spock's sleeve to get going.
At that point, another guy had asked Abby to dance. She still had the same attitude, but it was a facade for her. Every once in a while during a turn, she would look around in an attempt to find Kirk. She was fairly disappointed that he hadn't asked her to dance. Perhaps after all, it was all one sided. Abby shook her head. The woman knew she couldn't afford for her emotions to get in the way. By this point she was having a hard time catching her breath. Her body wasn't having it with the corset. She had been a fairly popular dance partner. If only for being a novelty, the only female single alien to the natives.

Cam had also done fairly well during the dance, which surprised her. She had found herself able to focus on the movements alone. She replied to McCoy’s bow with the curtsey. She glanced around at the question, seeing their group starting to cluster again, with the exception of Abby. “We should probably check in with the others. It is getting late.” She answered, looking back at McCoy.
Spock nodded in agreement, finding the meaning in her words. “I agree with T’Aimnu, Captain. We should find our hosts and inform them of our departure from this event. We need to be fully capable of handling the events of tomorrow.” He wasn’t sure how long Kirk had been awake, but he knew the man needed to rest eventually. The Vulcan glanced briefly at the two other humans, who had previously been dancing. He made eye contact with Cam and figured they were coming back to the group. He continued to look around, then saw Abby dancing with a different man.
James, who had calmed down a little as the two Vulcan’s spoke, had followed Spock’s gaze to Abby. He watched her for a moment, yet another song coming towards its end. “I need to do something. You guys can go ahead.” He muttered, barely audible to the Vulcan. With that, Jim started to walk towards Abby. As the song ended, he waited for her and the other man to separate. He took the last few steps to her, smiling a polite, almost political smile. It was the only smile he could conjure to mask his remaining jealousy. “Would you like to dance?” He asked Abby. He knew the rumors this may cause, but at this point he didn’t care.
Spock looked like he could facepalm as he watched Jim approach Abby. At least he hadn’t picked a fight with the other man, yet. He looked over at T’Aimnu, suppressing a sigh. “We may have to force them to their rooms.”

"My thoughts exactly. Judging by the look on Jim's face, nothing good is going to happen. Shall we?" McCoy sighed, offering his arm to Cam. But he kept his eyes straight ahead. His mind was on Jim, hoping that he wouldn't make a mess of this entire thing. He looked down at Cam and rolled his eyes.
Once Jim was out of earshot, T'Aimnu just about glared at Spock. "So you finally came to that conclusion? Could you have been more forceful with the Captain? I've been stuck by your side and have not been helpful to the mission?" She just about hissed. T'Aimnu was about as irritated as a Vulcan could be and show at the moment as Spock. She was giving him the side eye. All the Vulcan could do was hope, if that was even in their vocabulary that the Captain wouldn't ruin the mission.
The moment Abby saw James approach her, a eyebrow rose and she tilted her head slightly. "Captain, I would love to. Please excuse me." She nodded at the other man. Sighing, she watched the guy stalk off. As she turned her attention back to James, she had a questioning look on her face. As the music began, she curtsied and glanced around to see what the locals were doing. Abby was just waiting for Kirk to take the first step. Whatever that first step was.

Spock turned to T’Aimnu, about as surprised as a Vulcan could get. He stared at her for a moment, his surprise about as visible of any emotion that had ever crossed his face. He didn’t understand how he was to blame for all of this. Eventually, Spock looked away from T’Aimnu and back to Jim. “I could not stop the Captain. His mind was set on speaking with Abigail.” He responded simply. “Any force I applied to him would not likely be effective.” Kirk needed to, in a human phrase, ‘get it out of his system’. “I do apologize that you have been stuck with me during this event. I felt it was logical that at least one of us remain on look out.” He looked back over at his ‘mate’. “You could have joined Abigail in the festivities, or Cam with the other... married women.”
Cam had walked back over to Spock and T’Aimnu with McCoy. When she joined the two Vulcans, Spock turned his attention away from whatever conversation he had been having with T’Aimnu. “Doctor, Lieutenant Commander.” He addressed them, glancing briefly at the other two humans across the ballroom.
Kirk had one eye on the locals and one of his dancing partner. He followed the steps of the other males. Having spent a good portion of the night watching Abby dance with other men, he had a decent idea of some of the movements. Once he felt comfortable enough, he paid less attention to the people around them, and more to Abby. He briefly forgot his own jealousy as he danced, smiling more genuinely now. He had no idea of the two Vulcans who were watching them, or the other two humans who joined them. He even briefly forgot about Andre. When the dance came to a close, Jim looked like a much more relaxed man. He finished the dance with the male’s bow, still smiling a little at her. “You’ve really gotten the hang of this.” She had done much better than him, but saying he didn’t run into anyone, he was pretty proud.
(I just put Cam’s rank as Lieutenant Commander, because that’s what T’Aimnu’s is I think, and it’s a rank below Abby’s secret rank if we’re still going with that.)

T'Aimnu simply raised an eyebrow. "I hope you do know that Abigail and I can hold our own." The closest translation, I'm surprised you don't have more pull with the Captain. "Cam, Doctor. Are you ready to thank our hosts and retire for the night?" She asked, looking between Cam and the doctor.
"Hi Spock, T'Aimnu." The human doctor raised both of his eyebrows as he trailed after Cam. The two Vulcans weren't even together and they were already squabbling over something. Presumably Kirk and Abby. Well there's always the first. "I am. Cam?" McCoy asked, looking at the woman in question. He took a moment to look for their Captain.
(Sounds good!)
Abby curtsied, mirroring Kirk's bow. "Thank you Captain. You are a quick learner, yourself. I can see that our group is getting ready to thank our hosts and retire for the night. I will join you shortly. I have to thank my acquaintances." She motioned to the group of females that she had been darting in and out of all night. Abby ha noticed how how tense Kirk was and how he relaxed as this particular dance went on. Which in turn brought her own small reall smile back. She was being to look a bit exhausted. It after all had been an exhausting road to get to where she was in this particular mission.

Spock gave T’Aimnu a look, a side eye a little less aggressive than she had given him. He typically had more pull with Jim, between being his First Officer and one of his most trusted friends. Right now, he had less than usual. He turned his attention back to the full group.
Cam noticed the face Spock made at T’Aimnu as they walked up. That was new. Whatever they had disagreed over, Spock was still not over it. “I am as well.” She replied, looking back at McCoy. She motioned with her eyes the best she could at the Vulcan’s hoping they wouldn’t notice. She was trying to figure out if McCoy had also seen the look Spock had, or if she had somehow imagined it.
Jim looked over at the group, making eye contact with Spock, who seemed to be staring at the two humans. “Seems Spock is sure ready...” he muttered, still in a decent mood. He looked back at Abby and nodded. “Alright, we’ll wait on you.” He could see her exhaustion, and was beginning to feel his own. James turned and started back to the group. He paused for a moment, looking around for the friends he had made. A few still remained, but he could feel Spock’s eyes on him. He suddenly felt like a little kid who’s mother was waiting on him to come in for dinner. He sighed softly, then continued the rest of the way back to the group.
Spock, who had missed Cam’s look, was staring at the Captain as he finished up. “It seems the Captain is returning.” He stated, more to T’Aimnu than anyone else, as though proving he still had some weight in his friend’s mind. Spock did not remove his eyes from the human, not even when he stopped walking for a moment. This did seem to have a guilty effect on Jim, who eventually returned.

T'Aimnu paid Cam and McCoy no attention. Her own was on Spock and Kirk. Her eyelids twitched, looking as peeved as a Vulcan could look. The moment Kirk got back to the group, the female Vulcan almost literally started to push the group, mainly Spock and Kirk towards the PM and his wife.
McCoy sighed and gave Cam the smallest nod of acknowledgment over the bickering between the two Vulcans. The doctor reraised his eyebrows at the snark being thrown. T'Aimnu didn't seem to be over it either. He saw that she was still trying to get the group to go. Still having Cam's hand, he tugged on her to start making their way towards their hosts.
Abby sighed, seeing Kirk walk away once more. Her eyes glazed for a moment. It took the woman some thinking before she too turned and headed back the group that she had been previously with. Internally Abby knew that she still had a lot to do before she could sleep. Once of those things was to make sure that no one had bugged her room. And track Kirk down to see what all was going on in that head of his. She briefly looked around to see if Andre was around and make sure Kirk was headed up to their rooms.
T'Aimnu glanced back to try and check in with her friend, but with not seeing her, she just kept moving forward.

Kirk looked confused once more. It had been a long day for him. He hadn’t slept much. He had been put onto a mission, a diplomatic one at that, with little information. He had experienced a roller coaster of emotions with Abby. Now, the two Vulcans seemed to be feuding, over what he wasn’t sure of. To add to all of this, Bones and Cam were more behaved than the Vulcans, as of right now. This day couldn’t get anymore absurd. He kept looking between Spock and T’Aimnu, his eyebrows knitted together in confusion as he was pushed along.
Spock tried to move away from T’Aimnu, almost in defiance. He didn’t have much luck, as he wanted to head towards the PM as well, so even his own movements looked inspired by hers. His own agitation was growing, still not as much as the female’s. He noticed Cam watching them and immediately looked back at T’Aimnu, now as peeved as he could be. They had now become the observed, which he was not at all used to from the group of humans. If he had been fully human, Spock would’ve rolled his eyes and huffed. Instead, he turned away from T’Aimnu and tried to collect himself.
Cam kept up with McCoy, but seemed more focused on the two Vulcans than on where they were going. She occasionally looked for Abby, but still seemed more interested in the odd display in front of her. Even Kirk seemed surprised, more so than her even. Her eyes went back to Spock again, but this time he was looking back at her. She watched him for half a second longer, seeing him turn to T’Aimnu, then she looked away. Something was definitely off about those two.
Once they reached the PM and his wife, Jim took the lead. He moved away some from T’Aimnu, his face now the political smile. “My crew and I have thoroughly enjoyed the events of the night. We are honored to have been included in them, and we thank you for your hospitality. Now, we would like to retire. It’s been an exciting day.” He addressed the PM.
Spock had since gotten over his grievance, or at least he had hidden it from view. The occasional couple’s feud was a very martial thing, probably even for this culture with it being so close to human. It still was not a good idea to partake in an argument right in front of the PM and his wife. Instead, he stood next to the Captain, arms folded behind his back.

"Yes thank you. It was fascinating." T'Aimnu nodded and pratically ignored Spock. She ended up mirror his posture. Which of course was entirely Vulcan.
"Of course. We are glad we were able to have you. Our doctors are beyond excited. The pleasure is ours. One of our servants will show you all to your rooms. We hope they are to your likings." The PM'S wife motioned and a servant meekly came out. She stopped at the exit to make sure that the group was following.
"It's our honor to have you. We'll see you in the morning. Sleep well." The PM echoed.
"Thanks and have a good nigth." McCoy nodded and tugged at Cam's hand to follow the servant to their room. He had a pretty fake smile on his face for political purposes.

“We thank you for the opportunity to learn from your culture.” Spock gave a small nod towards the PM and his wife, then turned briefly to T’Aimnu. He had never looked less thrilled to offer her his arm, but the locals probably couldn’t notice. He waited for her, knowing it would look strange not to lead his ‘mate’ to the room.
“This has all been lovely, thank you.” Cam thanked the two locals one last time, then followed McCoy to their rooms. As they walked, she looked around for Abby.
Jim followed the servant to their rooms, looking around for Abby as well. He knew she was aware of where her room was, but he was still worried about leaving her. He sighed a little, knowing she could handle herself, but the worry not going away.

The first room was for McCoy and Cam. "Doctor." The servant motioned to the first room once on top of the stairs. "The Vulcans are the one across. And Captain you are two down this way. " The servant walked down and motioned to his room. "I bid you a good night." She never made eye contact with the group, before wandering off.
Some where along the line, Abby had thanked the group that took her in. She shared a few more dances with Andre, before he guided her to the hosts and graciously thanked the hosts. Despite saying no to Andre's offer of walking her up to her room, he persisted and she relented. This all occured over a good 15 or 20 minutes. Once they got her room, she gave Andre a questioning look. "How did you know where my room was?"
"I was in charge of security. Simple as that." Andre smiled, leaning against the wall. They were in fairly close contact with Abby leaning against her door.
"Oh really?" Abby asked, leaning into the man slightly.
"Yes. Now get some sleep. I'm sure you're not use to these things." Andre replied with a smile. He gently brought her hand to his lips and kissed her knuckles. Even with the heavy eye contact, he took several steps back and gently her hand down. "Good night, Commander Abigail Smith."
By the end, Abby was breathing and blushing heavily. "Nigth Major Andre. Or should I say John."
Andre turned back to face Abby. "What did I say about Major? Good nigth Ms Smith. " With that he started down stairs with a smile on his lips.
Once in her room, Abby giggled and leaned against the for a moment. Once the moment was gone, she started looking for listening devices. Another few minutes later, she hasn't found anything. But there was something in the room that was bugging her. There was a huge tapestry hanging. After taking everything off, but the corset and the simple white shift, she sat on her bed to start at the tapestry. She hadn't even begun the mess of untangling her hair. Abby stood and started messing around behind the tapestry. Much to her surprise, her room adjoined a second room. But she didn't know that the room belonged to a certain James T. Kirk of course.

“Thank you.” Cam addressed the servant. She opened the door to the room and practically tugged her ‘husband’ inside. She shut the door and took a brief look around the room, as if to make sure they were finally without locals, then let go of his arm. The woman took a deep breath, relieved. She took a few steps around the room, observing it as well as decompressing. Once she finally got the feeling there were not ears, she turned to McCoy. “What the hell is going on?” She then quickly specified. “I know you don’t know much more than I do about the mission, but what’s going on with the group? You saw Spock and T’Aimnu. I’ve never seen them like that before. And I don’t know Kirk well, and even I could tell how jealous he was. Do you think that’s going to be an issue?” She took another glance around the room, then added. “Do you think they’re on to us? I mean, us.” She did a slight motion with her hands, specifying the two of them. “You were convincing but... the conversation with the other women. I had to make up a lot of information...”
Spock nodded at the servant, not noticing that she wasn’t looking at him. He walked with T’Aimnu inside, then let go of her immediately after shutting the door. He was dreading being alone with her as much as a Vulcan could dread anything. He took the few steps to a seat and sat down, watching her now but not saying anything. He was briefly being, as the others may call it, petty. “Do you know where Abigail is now?” He could’ve added a snide ‘since you have such pull with her’, but decided against it. He watched her for a moment longer, then turned away. “We almost lost our alias.” He added, a little softer, more in thought than before. He knew that Jim and Abby could definitely become a problem, and deep down he also knew that the Vulcan’s couldnt also become one. That would leave McCoy and Cam as the logical ones, and both weren’t often described as solely logical thinkers.
“Good night.”Jim looked at the servant, smiling some. He had noticed she wouldn’t look at him. He always hated going to planets were servitude was still a large part of the society, and it was very clear it was here. This planet had a very rigid social structure, and anyone could see it after just a moment observing. He opened up his room and took a more casual step in than Spock and Cam had. At first, he was glad to be alone, but soon the room felt empty. While pretending Abby was his wife may have been embarrassing, at least he would have someone he trusted nearby. He explored the room for about ten minutes. Once he grew bored of that, he decided to change out of the entire Dress uniform. He left the pants on, but retrieved a simple grey shirt to replace the top. When Jim heard voices in the hall, he didn’t think much of it at first. Then one began to sound familiar. He walked closer to the door, listening quietly as he heard Abby say her goodbyes to another man. Jim lost his previous good mood once more, and sat down in a chair in his room. His eyes wondered to a tapestry across the room. Their decoration choices sure were odd... The Captain, now faintly interested in the design, got back up and started to walk towards it. He gently reached out and poked the large piece, muttering half of his thoughts aloud. “... belongs in a museum..”

"Honestly I have no clue. I'd have to guess, with the green blooded people, it has to do with Abby and Jim. With the way she was laying it on thick with that man. Probably to get information and that Jim would not like. That would be the best guess. I have no clue. If there's breakfast, then perhaps not." McCoy sighed, he started rooting through his bag. Upon finding his sleep shirt, the doctor turned away from Cam and switch out of his Dress top. "I suppose so, I mean we mainly kept the physiology differences." Once he was done, he turned to face Cam. "Do you want to get out of that thing? I'll leave if you want me to?" HE offered, looking anywhere but Cam. In a way he was taking in the room, with all the details.
"Knowing her, she will take an additional 15-20 minutes to partake in dancing, saying good night and then head to her room and..." T'Aimnu's eyes widened for a moment before she started a flurry of activity. She was searching in all the nooks and crannies. Once she was satisfied, she picked her sentence up where she left off. "checked out the room for listening devices. And anything other concerning." For the first time, she pulled slightly at her dress. "To be fair, marital fighting does occur. So logically, we would have not blown our alias, as you suggested." T'Aimnu looked through the room once more. "You may take the bed, I will take the futon." She pulled at her dress, a bit uncomfortable after being in it for such along time.
"Oi! You shouldn't be pokinggg.." Abby's words died on her tongue as she realized whose room she had come into. "Captain... I.. I'm sorry to intrude. I didn't know that we had rooms that were adjoining. I was just scanning to make sure there wasn't anything amiss and this tapestry was out of place." She was nervous, and with that she started to ramble about random things. She started to blush even more when she remembered what she was wearing, or how little she was. Which in turned increased her flush and her breathing "Um... I...I will let you be." She nodded, backing out and back to her room. Once in her room, Abby covered her face and didn't even close the door. Once out of the public eye, Abby was a completely different person. She was having a hard time breathing with the corset, and sat down on her bed. She didn't even have her slight heels on, just the lightweight shift and corset. She spotted some paper, pen and ink and started to write everything down. Stopping for a moment, she looked back at the two dresses she had worn. But she was mainly staring at the yellow one, her last one.

Cam sat down on the futon that her bag was on, sighing. “I hope everyone can keep it together through whatever happens tomorrow...” she had been watching him, but once he retrieved his shirt, she looked away. As he changed, she started to search through her own bag. The woman wasn’t completely convinced she had played her part well enough, but his reassurance helped some. She glanced over at him once he had addressed her. “If you don’t mind, or at least turn around.” At this point, she was more interested in getting the fabric trap off than where McCoy went. “This thing’s really uncomfortable.” She added as she went back to pulling what she needed out of her bag.
Spock watched her search, having had a similar idea about a second after she started. “Especially for human relations, from what I observed from couples on the ship. Perhaps it is the same for this culture.” He added, almost more to reassure himself than anything else. At the suggestion, he gave her a slightly puzzled look. “I believe the most appropriate course of action during this time would be for you to take the bed. As the female.” He pauses briefly, searching for the human phrase. “It’s the gentleman thing to do.” He watched the other Vulcan tug at the dress, then stood up from his chair. “If you wish to change, I will leave.” He offered, wanting to at least give her privacy after their argument.
(Wait I think I misread this last post... now I get what’s going on, I think. My bad man!)
Jim had been surprised when Abby had pulled him into the small space. Now, he was just downright astonished. “Abby?” His voice was a surprised, higher pitched hiss compared to his normal tone. He watched her ramble on, not fully paying attention. The man looked around at the surroundings, processing just how she had come through his room. He finally looked back at her as her rant slowed, still somewhat confused. When he noticed her blush, he also noticed what she was wearing. His eyes widened a little, then he quickly snapped his eyes up. His back subconsciously stiffened, moving his shoulders back, and he turned his head all in one movement. For once, James froze up with a woman in front of him. When she went to leave, he watched her slip back through the door. “Abby-“ he started, not sure what to say, and stopping. He stayed on his side of the door, despite it being open. After a few moments he cleared his head and addressed her again. “Abby, can we talk?” He still didn’t look into the room, wanting to give her her privacy. Especially since he hadn’t exactly been invited in, but he hadn’t asked either.

"I would hope so and don't doubt that thing is a deathtrap. Given how it would literally move the internal organs around." It took. McCoy a moment realize that he should at least turn around. "No... no... do what you need to do." With that McCoy flopped down into the couch and just about shoved his face into the couch. He was almost half asleep with his face shoved into the couch. After all it had been a long day worrying about whatever stupid thing Jim would do. And keeping the act up with Cam. Although keeping up the act wasn't hard, keeping his feelings for the woman separate was.
"No. Please stay. Should someone walk by when you are out there, that would break the illusion." T'Aimnu stated, kneeling at her bag. She wouldn't have been able to look through it any other way. "I just ask that you turn." Once she found what she was looking for, she rose and began to almost claw at the dress. Given that the closure was in the back, she couldn't reach it, or really figure out how to remove it. "You keep refusing the bed, the most logical thing is that we share. After all there is space and you are my... husband if only for a short time. To keep up appearances." The way T'Aimnu said husband was unusual in that it was slightly possessive even for her.
"Yes, but I'm not sure that there's much to talk about beyond the mission. Since we've already spoken our peace." Abby sighed softly, and her voice even softer. The woman did not look up from her writing. She still was a bit flush and had a hard time breathing. Abby knew she had seen a robe somewhere around her room. And it wasn't likely that she was going get out of the corset without help. But she didn't bother to get because that would require more air to move. Even though it was just at the end of her bed. "You can come in." She had one leg off the side of the bed and the other underneath the first one.
