Eveline knew the same thing as Knox. There was, of course, all those fictionalized, dramatized versions. And that was true in part too. But college was also supposed to be more than just that. A place where they could start to find their feet.
She was having a hard time seeing anything like that here. There was just a lot of whispers and looks.
Either like they were trying to see what to make of these new students or like the onlookers were waiting, maybe placing bets, on when theyβd disappear.
βAre the other new students getting looks like this too?β she murmured, unsure if Kristen and Knox would hear.
She glanced at Kristen in a way that said maybe it would be best that she asked. Then she mumbled again, βMaybe we should ask our roommates instead? Like β¦ weβre supposed to get along with them, right?β

All the stares and whispers were getting annoying, and he'd never been good with having focus on him either. He didn't see it stopping anytime soon, but hopefully getting out of the crowd would help. "Think they left something out during orientation," Knox mumbled, continuing to lead them out of the commons. He noticed others were also receiving glances but they'd already left the room. "I'd be careful around your roommates for now," he said. "At least until you can clear them." |

Kierstens eyes wide. Something here wasnt right, and it was getting painfully obvious. She let out a loud sigh. "Weird thought.. But I havent seen any other new students... My roommate has been here for a year already and she doesnt really talk to anyone. Do yours?" She asked, the wheels of her mind turning as she tried to make sense of this whole situation. |

"Clear them?" Eveline said. Like it was a spy movie or something?
Was whatever being whispered about really so serious that they couldn't talk to their roommates?
She glanced at Kiersten. Then shook her head.
"I ... don't know. My roommate didn't turn up last night and we haven't talked yet, so I really don't know what up with that. It's not something they covered in orientation though. Is there ... like ... some way that we can get a hint, do you think? Is there anything in any pamphlet?"
There had to be something. This place didn't exist in a bubble ...
Right?

Once they were out of the commons room, and out of the building in general, it was easier to think. Without all the stares and whispers, it was like they were actually in a regular school. "I don't think they'd just advertise in the front of the pamphlet that the place is crazy," Knox replied. Everything they'd been told or given in orientation seemed normal enough. Applying in the first place had seemed legit. "There might be people who don't listen to whatever's happening, though they probably wouldn't announce that to anyone." |

"I mean, If i had a massive, weird secret, I wouldn't broadcast it to the world either..." Kiersten muttered. One way or another they were going to find out what in the world was going on, and if it was really weird talking to other students about it, so be it. "Im just fed up with it at this point." She shook her head. "Anyway. Whose class are we going to find first?" She asked, looking between her two friends.
She was determined to figure out what the heck was going on. Afterall, how bad could it be? |

Also, we decided on one of us getting roped into the secret and not being able to talk about it, does anyone want to RP that role?) |

As for the secret itself, do we want it specific to the students (like, there's something up with them that's the secret), or it's something the faculty organize, or combo of both?)

(So that leaves it up to Knox and Eveline. I think the vibe of the RP will change depending on who we pick, so I guess the question is do we want a more active in the secret Knox or a passive Eveline?)
