Eveline wasn't the greatest at parties. Too many people. But she could at least appreciate that she'd been invited. Of course, she'd been invited by her best friends for ages, but the sentiment was still the same. It was a good opportunity to meet new people, she was sure, and just get a sense of who was at this school. Still, she found her eyes drawn to one teacher in particular. He was hanging near the edge of the room - at least, she assumed he was a teacher. He was a lot older than a lot of people who were here - maybe in his upper 40s - but the way he looked around the room made Eveline's skin crawl. Like he was scoping everyone out. She hurried over to Kiersten when she spotted her, pressing down a shiver. "Neat ... neat party, right?" she asked, even though she'd only just now arrived.

The last time Knox had been to a party had been for high school graduation. He'd been more of a party goer then, but only with his other friends. It was kind of expected, as one of the popular kids, so he made his appearances for some time and called it good.
High school seemed easier to navigate compared to where they were now. Knox had been the last to come, having received the text that Eveline had arrived minutes before he did. Even so, he could already feel the tense air as soon as he stepped into the room. The mood seemed to match that of some corporate meeting, not a college party. Scanning over the room, he found Kiersten and Eveline in conversation and started the walk towards them. There were eyes on him that he could feel, but he ignored it as he quietly joined their side.
