Okay okay okay I was talking to drea and she brought up an interesting point.

Keeping with what we had established with the northern lights we know that warm colors (red, pink, and yellow) are seen as a bad omen while cool colors (blue, green, and purple) were seen as good. Maybe the 'evil' ancestors were symbolized by shadow or dark, but by these harsher colors. Eternal Lights still works for "StarClan" but for the "Dark Forest" we could do something like Erring Lights?

That could tie into the whole sunset/sunrise aspect as that tends to be when these colors are more prevalent. It is also when the most fog is present. Maybe the clans see these times as day as extremely dangerous, and see the fog/mist as a gift from the ancestors to obscure and hide them from evil? That could also explain why there is a celebration focused around the last sunsets/sunrises before long periods of darkness or light?

It would be interesting if clan cats every stumbled across a city then- since most artificial light has a yellow hue.

I think we've pretty thoroughly covered traditions then, did you guys want to move on to something else? I have general ideas for history and plot if we wanted to develop those? Or we could work out territory details?

Alrighty territory it is. So I know I have a couple locations planned for the upper clan including like so steep cliffs that are good for hunting birds/bird eggs and hatchlings but only warriors can go there because they crumble so much, and old forest that was burnt up during a wildfire like 4 years ago so we have some new growth among the ash, and a giant waterfall- maybe it could function as like a border between the upper and lower clans? Like the top belongs to the upper clan and the pool at the bottom to the lower? I wasn't working on territory detail for the other clans but I figured most if the lower clan would be more meadowy that forested? Up to u tho.

Is the middle clan at the base of the mountain or on the mountain?

Alright XD That is true twolegs don't hold an importance now that I think about it. It's only used for kittypets xD

It would make sense if it's different for each clan. Maybe the lower clan is more open to strangers while the other two are more hostile or distrusting? Actually, I can imagine the upper clan to be the most isolationist for some reason.

I can't think of any rule that needs to be changed. Especially the one about how the leader's word is law seems to be important, considering you want the leaders to be somewhat bad at what they do. But maybe the leaders would try to change the rule about deputies becoming the new leaders? The vain and selfish one would probably want a cat that's related to them as their successor. But then again all that leader would have to do is choosing that relative as their deputy. So maybe changing that rule isn't necessary after all.

Would any of these work for territory land marks? I enjoy looking at photos for inspiration lol
