//It's technically spelled Vēive but I don't want to grow through all the trouble of changing the 'e' or copy & pasting ^^" You can pronounce it however you like but it's VAY-V as far as I can tell~

//I'm finally back and trying to finish my form before bed ^^" I had to switch characters because Mugen and Raes are a bit too similar to preestablished members so it's taking a while...~ //Also! Are storm elementals basically just like Storm from XMen? I'm debating on mixing storm with something else, like fire- a disaster or Space with something... //I of course don't intend to make my boy OP! That's no fun for anyone~ //yes! pretty much!! Also he's good to go if you want to jump in and RP!

Christina nodded to Zephyr's answer and watched as the rays of sunlight started to fall against the sky. She held up a hand to her face, trying to block out the harsh light as she continued onward. She didn't really think much about it, he didn't seem like he was looking for anything in general, just kind of happened upon anything. She thought it was quite interesting when he brought up the idea of a partial shift. Why would any shifter want to do that? Isn't their whole thing to morph into in animal? Why would they still want to be part human? She thought it was still strange and shrugged the thought away. They were entering closer to the angel and werewolf border and Christina was starting to wonder if they would see any or find the chosen ones of their respective group. We've got like half now, I guess we're bound to find the others at some point. Werewolves also weirded Christina out a bit, the size of them and their power freaked her out alone, she had heard stories of them picking up someone in their jaws and throwing them through the entire forest. Well, whatever we run into, at least we've developed a variety pack of powers at this point. Christina blinked a few times and fell out of her own thoughts and nodded, acting like she was interested in whoever had just spoke before she zoned out.

Alex's nose crinkled as he smelled the werewolf territory. The other areas did not have a very distinct scent, but everything here smelled like a wet dog. Disgusting. Alex put his sunglasses on again. He knew any werewolf would be able to smell the blood around him (vampires themselves did not smell like much, but the scent of blood always lingered). Admittedly Alex had almost no firsthand knowledge of vampire-werewolf interactions, but he had always imagined that he would get chased off the territory. Rightfully so, given that is what any vampire coven would due to a stray werewolf wandering through. Hopefully it would not come to that, but Alex remained weary.
Alex tried to refocus on the conversation but the harsh light made him a bit light-headed. It was not enough to be a true impediment, thanks to the blood crystal, but the daylight was still a slight burden. Thank goodness the sun's about to set, the vampire mused. He had no idea how comfortable other species were during nighttime, but vampires were always happy. Most of them just slept during the day anyways. Alex's coven had been partial to sleeping around noon and staying up all night. There was nothing more beautiful than waking up during the golden hour just before sunset.
Returning to present matters, Alex realized he had not only zoned out of the conversation but completely lost track of it. His cheeks reddened a bit (yet another indication that I ate, wonderful), but Alex did his best to act interested. He had been entertained by the conversation, but his wariness of werewolves trumped that.

[[ lol yeah, it's kinda amusing. Alex is like "what idk i'm going to embarrass myself so i'll just say something, mess it up, and then tune everything out." ]]
Loud noises always bothered Alex. They were disruptive, mildly rude, and just too surprising. He had no time to control his reaction, no time to prepare, and generally no time to do anything but mildly panic. So when Zephyr-the-goshawk cried out, Alex's sensitive hearing spiked and the vampire froze. His feet snapped together, his knees locked in a mild hyperextension, and generally his mind went haywire for a brief moment. To Alex, of course, it felt like an eternity of regrouping.
Just then registering Zephyr's question, the vampire continued his steady pace. Alex readjusted himself, straightening his spine, rolling his shoulders back again, and holding his chin a bit higher. He wanted to rest until the sun was completely set, but he also wanted to get out of werewolf territory as quickly as possible. "Whatever works for you," he answered quietly.
Immediately he scolded himself for the low volume. There goes all that confidence, he mused. Good job there, wonderful, marvelous. Didn't even make it a day.

//ahhhh sorry i was making food
Christina trudged on noting that it was going to get dark soon. She was eager to see the stars out here in the wild, as living up in the city in the mountains, the beautiful night sky was hard to see. Only a couple times when she had gone off wandering at night had she seen the true night sky. She listened in on what Zephyr was saying, yeah I mean, I'm tired of walking too, but we can't all transform into birds and fly where ever our heart desires, if only. It wasn't that Christina didn't appreciate her abilities as a reaper, sure they came in handy, but she just wished that they weren't so dark and gloomy compared to sparkling light magic of an angel or fire bending like an elemental. "Maybe we should make camp for the night." Christina thought aloud, a bit shocked with herself as she realized that she sounded like she was taking charge and showing some sort of leadership with that statement. I do not want to be considered the leader of whatever kind of group this is, that was more like an agreeable statement with a coat of false leadership. Well, you also have been leading the way this whole time. She peered back at the rest of the group to see if they had any response.

Avani Roshan - Female - 23
Avani has dark tan skin scattered with patches of freckles. She has dark, curly brown hair that appears to be almost black. She keeps it rather short and has both sides and the back shaved down underneath. She often parts her hair to one side or keeps in a small bun. Avani is rather tall, standing around 5'8''. That couples with her musclar build makes for a rather imposing and intimidating figure. Her blue-gray eyes are usually bright, clear, and thoughtful. They're usually the first thing people notice about her. The only other things that draw their attention are her wings and halo. Light gray wings that almost look like ash sprout from her back. She usually keeps her golden halo around her wrist like a bracelet. She tends to wear vests or sleeveless shirts.
Despite her intimidating appearence, Avani is rather friendly and sweet. She tends to have an open mind and enjoys talking to people as she's rather talkative. She's the the type of person who usually starts a conversation, even if that person doesn't want to speak. She's bad at reading people, so she tends to just chat away even if there's protest. Avani likes to questions things and tends to be very curious. Her philosophical side comes through often as she let's her mind wander. She enjoys looking at things from all angles, even if she doesn't agree with or believe in the line of thinking. This helps her keep an open mind as she tries to understand everything in the world. Of course it also causes her to step on a few toes as she's usually oblivious to people's reaction. Her energetic nature doesn't help this either. She likes to move around and explore, which often gets her into trouble. That coupled with a bit of over-confidence makes for a less than ideal combination. Despite her energeticness and confidence, Avani is quite patient. Almost too patient and even diplomatic with people who don't deserve it. It takes a lot to set her off, but when she does get mad she becomes rather threatening and intimidating.
Like all angels, Avani has the power of flight due to her wings. She also has some healing abilities, though it's the best healer out there. She can stabilize those severely injured and heal small cuts and wounds. She can't take care of things like infections or sicknesses. Whereas she's not the best with matter of healing, she is much more skilled with light magic. Whether it's brighting up a path or creating displays of light, she can manage most of those things. Like other angels, Avani is weakened aganist thongs made of iron and the elements of dark magic pose a threat.
Avani's crystal is a bright golden-orange with silver marbling. She keeps it strapped to her waist.

Upon further consideration, Alex's faked apathy was not a good idea. Clearly the others were not nocturnal. I can't go back on my earlier statement. What would they think about that? Would they be annoyed? Frustrated? Angry? Alex tensed his shoulders up and then rolled them back down, a motion he was repeating quite a lot today. He figured it was some sort of stress reaction. Back home he managed to avoid most major sources of stress, namely strangers and foreign areas, but clearly that would not be possible here. Wonderful.
Alex stopped and followed Zephyr's gaze towards the sky. He understood that he and Zephyr could fly (although he could not go as quickly as the shapeshifter on account of his small wings and general inexperience), but the others did not seem to be able to. Not wanting to question the shapeshifter and create more animosity within the small traveling troupe.
"Would it be alright if we traveled until we arrive in the Gather?" Alex forced the words out of his mouth. "I'm afraid I don't do well during the day so I would prefer to travel a bit more."

Christina shrugged upon hearing the boys, she didn't mind much if they continued or not, but she was quite curious at Zephyr's statement, in what universe does it look like me or the wizard could fly? We don't have wings, sure she had some on her back in reaper form, but they were supposed to not work, as the form was much similar to a fallen angel. She also did agree with the vampire, nightfall brought her comfort as well and spending the night in The Gather surely sounded a lot better than having to use her backpack as a pillow in the middle of the woods, even if the stars did look pretty out here. "By all means, I'd fly there now if I could." Christina thought aloud, then she realized that Zephyr was probably offering to shift into something to carry them there and she felt a bit awkward, not sure how she didn't come to that conclusion in the first place.

Christina listened to Zehpyr's suggestion, learning that her thoughts were correct, she wondered what he planned on shifting into that would be large enough to carry the both of them. She nodded in agreement and took a couple steps towards where Zephyr was standing. "I'm down," she replied to them. She appreciated that he was willing to help and get them there faster, this was the first shapeshifter she'd met and they seemed pretty tolerable. She kept thinking about her own powers, in what scenario am I supposed to be an essential member to the group? We've got transportation from a shapeshifter, healing from a wizard and probably an angel once they come around, vampire and werewolf are probably both good at hunting, an elemental who can control the FREAKING elements. And what do I have? The ability to scare people to death? Okay shadow powers is cool, but still. Oh! The demon, honestly hopefully we get along. They would get it. The demons that she had met up in the gather were rather friendly towards reapers.

"I'd prefer a ride too. I haven't flown much and would prefer not to start at high altitudes."
Alex frowned. He had not expected to give such a quick response. Somehow that made Alex proud? Funny how that worked. The vampire relaxed his expression, trying to read the ones on the others' faces. Unfortunately, he had absolutely no idea how other people cued their emotions. Vampires never wore their hearts on their sleeves, but they had their ways of communicating general emotion. Yet somehow Alex could not read these strangers. His sudden ineptness made him uncomfortable, his pride shrinking by the moment. Openly admitting his shapeshifting weakness was not great either. Alex strived to be a contributing team member, but now he was learning how little he could contribute.
The vampire removed his sunglasses and tucked them into his high collar. His red eyes shown a bit in the dark, a flaw that evolution had somehow not corrected. Alex noticed a stray splinter stuck in his shoulder, probably from when he leaned against a tree. Pulling it out and frowning at the tiny hole left behind in his sweater, Alex grimaced. He hated small imperfections like that. He tossed the splinter away in disgust. As soon as they got to the Gather, he would be able to pop into his coven's vacation house and find a jacket to cover his shoulders.
[[ so everyone struggles with conversation and self-confidence ]]

Avani was on the road to the Gather. As in she was literally sitting on the side of the road, waiting for other people. She didn't really know why she was waiting or who she was supposed to meet, it just felt right. Of course the angel questioned it and pondered the situation over in her head multiple times throughout the day. However she didn't have a concrete answer as to why she waited. It was growing rather late and night would soon fall upon the land. A part of her, a small part, wanted to leave. It urged her to go to the Gather alone or even flee back home. But a bigger part, the curious part, forced her to stay. She didn't mind. In fact, she was rather looking forward to whatever would come up. Either she could get a chance to deal with some hunters or join a group of travlers if it felt right. If it weren't the right people, then she could always chat with them. It was at least more interesting than sitting on the side of the road, waiting. Avani glanced up at the sky. It was growing darker. She considered finding shelter for a moment. After all it was getting late and nobody-
She heard voices on the path. There were people heading her way. Avain got to her feet and sped forward to see what lied beyond the small ridge. A small group of them of about four was ahead. They were too far to make out any details from her current position, but close enough for her to see they were a mixed group of some kind. Though the growing darkness didn't help with her visibility, Avani was interested to see who exactly was ahead. Cautiously, she began to approch. Even if they appeared okay, they could always be hunters and she was not eager to deal with them.

//honestly i think it's hilarious
"Sounds good." Christina nodded at Zephyr's idea, for once being short did come in hand for her. She started walking in the direction of the small clearing that he pointed out, very intrigued to experience flying. She shoved her hands into the pockets of her shorts and continued walking. As she heard a small rumbling sound, she realized it was coming from her own stomach. Well, I haven't eaten since I left this morning. She brought her backpack over her shoulder and pulled out a candy bar from one of the pockets slung her pack back around. She tore the wrapper open and took a bite, only munching on a snack for now since she could probably grab a larger meal once they got to the city. She loved chocolate, very much hating the taste of salty snacks, as she already had enough of a salty taste in her mouth earlier. Also, she was honestly getting really sick, how come I keep having to start conversations. So, she decided to pull a card out of her bland conversations hat, hoping the rest of the group would morph into something less terrible. "So what do you guys like to do for fun?"

[[ My posts are too. I honestly don't notice your posts being full of rambling internal dialogue, but mine always seem to be when I re-read them. ]]
[[ And yes, it is pretty funny xD ]]
Alex nodded, heat rising in his cheeks. Hopefully the blush was not noticeable in the dark. Alex hated being corrected, a horrible sense of shame climbing his spine. Had Zephyr's suggestion been blatantly obvious? Had Alex just missed it like an idiot? Almost certainly yes. The vampire stood a bit straighter, his legs falling into a hyperextended strain again. He corrected the mistake and rotated his ankle.
"That sounds fine," he offered. "I can do that." He honestly was not enthusiastic about the idea of riding on someone's back, but at least the travel could be quicker. Alex could probably run just as fast as most things could fly, but his horrible sense of direction would surely fail him. If there was one thing he could rely on, it was certainly not that.
The vampire tipped his head to the side, nose still engulfed in werewolf stench. There was a slight scent of something — someone — else, and Alex turned his head in that general direction. There was the occasional crunch of a squashed leaf emanating from that general direction. Alex turned his entire body that way and separated himself from the other three. Completely abandoning the conversation, Alex took slow steps in that direction, away from the clearing, and his eyesight gradually adjusted to spot whoever was there.

Zephyr led the way to the clearing he had spotted on his last flying expedition. It had a small brook running through one side of it, but that wouldn't be an issue. It may actually be useful, if anyone was thirsty. The water was clean and cold. Zephyr paid it no mind, though, as he stepped to the middle of the clearing. He turned around to face the others. "I hope none of you are afraid of reptiles," he said, his only warning before he shifted.
Into a dragon.
His ruby red scales gleamed in the fading sunlight, his wings rustling softly as he stretched them out halfway before drawing them back in. His tail slid over the ground, stopping just shy of the brook. He stood almost ten feet tall at the shoulder, though when his head was up, his long neck added another six feet to his height. And when he looked down at the others, his eyes were a piercing blue-grey.
His nostrils flared as he loosed a warm breath. He met both girls' gazes, then looked past them to see that Alex had started wandering off. His large, triangular head tilted to ond side, and then he followed the direction of Alex's focus.
Zephyr did not immediately see anything, but with a rustle of wings, he sat up on his hind legs, giving himself a higher advantage. That's when he saw her: the angel. A low rumble sounded in his chest, a warning sound meant both for Lilah and Christina, as well as the angel girl to let her know she'd been spotted.

Alex winced at the rumble but continued forward. He did not recognize the smell at all, so at least they were not human. Everything else about this unknown person was, well, exactly that: unknown. Tentatively the vampire continued forward. It felt unnatural to move at such a slow pace, but Alex could not bring himself to move any faster. As he approached the figure, he called out, "Hello. My name is Alex. What's yours?"
Hopefully that was approachable enough. Alex almost wanted to ask "who are you," but that seemed to forward. Asking for a name seemed more friendly, although could it be seen as an invasion of privacy? Stop overthinking, it's alright, you'll be fine, Alex gently scolded himself. There's nothing to worry about. Just be gentle, just be kind, just be approachable. That's all you need to do. As if it was such an easy task for him.

As Avani got closer, she noticed a woman around her age step forward and pull something from her bag. It appeared she had spotted her. Avani shrugged. It wasn't like she was exactly trying to hide. As she approched the small group, one if the people took to the form of a dragon. They had a shifter. She glanced towards the others and noticed they were around her age and appeared to be a mixed group if some kind. Interesting. The angel carefully continued approched, not wanting to startle the odd group of travlers any further. The newly changed dragon also made her a bit weary.
"Don't worry, I'm not a threat," Avani called as she approched. Of course it depended on just who she stumbled across. Even though there was a wizard and shifter among them, it didn't necessarily mean she was safe. If she had to, she would fight her way out. Of course she would just have to hope it didn't come to that. The young woman continued her slow approch, careful not to do anything to evoke their wrath. As the people came more into focus, she could pick up more details about them. There was the black-haired wizard, her wand pointed and ready for a spell if she needed to cast one. Then there was the man with a pair of sunglasses at his collar wearing all black. Perhaps he was a vampire, fitting in with the stereotype of the people. Lastly of the non-transformed people in the group was a rather short lady towards the back with what appeared to be many piercings. It was an interesting group indeed. With another quick glance over everyone, they all seemed to have something else in common. The crystals. They were identical to her own in size and shape. It was the color that varied greatly.
The angel had found what she was waiting for. At least she assumed as such. She felt right being around them, but perhaps it had to do with her growing urging at finding people. Then again, the Crystal's told a different story. "I knew you would arrive!" She excitedly blurted out. "I've been waiting for a while, actually. I assume you're going to the Gather, correct? I mean with the prophecy and all it makes sense..."
Avani trailed off. They wouldn't know who she was and she didn't know anything about them. In fact, there was always the chance they had stolen the crystals...The angel pushed the thoughts from her mind. How could she think like that? It would be unlikely everyone in the group had stolen such things. After a moment, she grabbed her own gem from her waist and held it up for everyone to see. One of the people spoke up, the one she had assumed to be a vampire.
"Hello, Alex, I'm Avani and as I said I'm pretty sure I've been waiting for you lot. As you can obviously tell, I'm an angel." She paused and gestered to her ash-colored wings with a smile. "I assume the rest of you have names. Mind telling me what I should call you?"
