Zephyr's brows rose almost to his hairline at the mention of a prophecy — which he most certainly had not heard anything about. He listened to the Wizard's explanation, mystified and intrigued in equal measure. He had always known he was different from other Shifters, but he had never thought of himself as special. He was just an outcast, an oddball, a wildcard. Certainly not someone with a great destiny.
And yet... the idea thrilled him. This could be the adventure of a lifetime. He had already seen and done so much, but this would be something new. A different kind of challenge, one fraught with risks and danger and fun. Crystal or no crystal, there was no way he was missing out on this.
Zephyr met one girl's gaze, then the other. "No, I haven't heard any of the recent news. I've never heard of this prophecy. But if it's real, then I'm in." He pinned his multi-hued gaze on the Reaper. "How far are we from the border?"

Alex sped ahead, oddly eager in his pursuit. The scents were getting stronger, more concentrated. He stopped about a dozen yards away, obscured by a tree. The putrid smell of blood was thick, covering the others. He should know better than to run that fast, that far. Frustrating as it was, Alex could restrain himself. Twenty years on this earth and he could hold himself back from blind attack. Humans smelled so delectable, but it would be quite embarrassing to feast in front of polite company. Or any company, for that matter.
The vampire listened to the conversation, trying to assess the three different people nearby. The animal scents had disappeared, replaced by an unfamiliar one that Alex could only guess was a shapeshifter. There was definitely a Reaper and a wizard. Dear goodness, this really was a meeting of the minds. Alex had never met a Reaper before (he only recognized that distinctive death-like smell). His coven used to interact with the occasional wizard when they ventured to the Gather.
Alex tried to work up the courage to go into the open. It was so hard to introduce himself to strangers, what if he said the wrong thing? Stared too much at someone? Stood awkwardly? His spine immediately straightened, a slump having enveloped his shoulders during the brief panic. The blood still sang to him, but he swallowed that impulse. Alex reached into his pocket, removing his crystal and putting it around his neck. At least he could indicate that he too was part of the famed prophecy.

"Hopefully we won't find any more Hunters." She replied, looking over the map. Christina hadn't seen a large-scale map in a long time, as she tended not to venture too far outside her own territory. She unfolded her arms and pulled a bit on her backpack straps. She let out a sigh and looked back towards the trees in the direction she came. Well, hopefully I'll be back soon. "Guess we better get going." Christina muttered, starting to walk more towards the central border. She shoved her hands into her pockets and glanced back to make sure that the other two were following her. She rolled up her sleeve again and stared at her arm, still a bit shocked that her scars were gone. Another thought abruptly jumped into her head and she glanced back to the other two, realizing that they never had a proper introduction. I didn't really get to tell them my name on the account of almost being shot to death. "I'm Christina by the way." She stated.

Zephyr studied the map the Wizard showed them, his gaze locating the general area they were currently, and following the path the Wizard deemed best. He had no objections to it, though the idea of walking at a human pace for days was torture. He could be there by morning if he took on a form with four legs. Heck, he could be there by nightfall if he took the shape of something with wings.
He was sorely tempted to bid the girls farewell, tell them he'd meet them there, and take off. But if that prophecy was to be believed, they would need to work as a team to do what needed to be done. Which meant he should probably stick with them, even if their human pace would drive him slowly insane.
So with a sigh, he started after the Reaper — who introduced herself as Christina — when she began walking. But he halted a heartbeat later, his gaze darting to the woods to one side of the clearing. He could feel eyes on them. "We're no longer alone," he warned the girls, his eyes still locked on the spot where he could sense a presence.

{ I meant to ask this earlier, but what are the dynamics between the monsters like? I know you said that some have more animosity towards each other than the others, so are there any species that are particularly hostile or friendly towards each other or are they all just mostly neutral? } [pretty much just the more common ones like angels and demons then vampire and werewolves]

Alex listened to the crunch of leaves, tracing the direction. He took an exaggerated deep breath to calm himself down. It did not work (no surprise there). He was going to introduce himself, he was going to introduce himself, he was going to be charming and polite and interesting and not an embarrassment. That's the goal, at least. The intention. Alex checked the sky again, mildly annoyed when the sun had not moved at all. It was not a surprise (how could it be, barely any time had passed), but he desperately wanted it to be nighttime. He would be much more comfortable once the sun set.
Alex carefully made his way further in that direction, following a large circle around the trio. He stopped a short distance away from them. Alex rolled his pant leg up a bit, revealing a small pouch, barely more than a pocket, strapped to his lower shin. It was enchanted courtesy of a wizard in the Gather. Essentially, anything that was put inside would not make the pouch bigger or heavier. It was immensely useful for carrying small objects. Alex pulled out some sunglasses, unrolled his pant leg, and put the sunglasses on. He crossed his arms, leaned on the tree, and waited for the group to walk close enough. Either that, or they could walk by and he could feast on the corpses. Both were decent options.
Upon hearing the shapeshifter's warning, Alex grinned. It was a self-defense mechanism, albeit an odd one. Look confident and no one will say anything. He stepped out, avoiding a spot of light but making himself perfectly visible. "Hello there," he stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Who are you?"
Oh dear. That was a horrible introduction.

As the creature within the trees moved, Zephyr shifted. One second he was a man; the next he was a large russet-furred wolf, his teeth bared and his ears flat to his head as he readied to attack. But he went still when the person who emerged was a Vampire, and not a Hunter.
Zephyr relaxed a bit, but remained a wolf as he studied the newcomer. He inched closer, circling wide around the Vampire, his eyes and nose taking in the details before him while his ears swiveled around and took in the details around them. When he found no threat, Zephyr let out a low snort and returned to stand between the two girls.
That was when he noticed the crystal around the Vampire's neck. Within a heartbeat, Zephyr was once more in human form, his brows arched as he looked from the black crystal to the Vampire's face. "You're a little off track, there, buddy," he said. "Vampire turf is on the other side of the Gather."

Alex watched Lilah put her wand away and smiled. He noted her absent response to his introduction, unsure of what to think of it. Was it a sign of fear? Intimidation? A general denial of his existence? Goodness, Alex really needed to stop overanalyzing these things. In her position he would also be silent. At least he knew her name, courtesy of her whisper and his great hearing. Would it be too awkward to say it? Probably. Better not then.
As the shapeshifter circled him, Alex rotated his shoulders and let his obviously fake smile slip away. Perhaps the shapeshifter was not a werewolf, but Alex still did not like wolves or anyone in a wolf shape. First, wolves smelled awful. Second, werewolves were generally not friendly towards vampires. Granted, the unfriendliness was reciprocated, but Alex was not someone to change a generations-long rivalry. Once the shapeshifter shifted back into a human form, Alex let himself relax and listen.
"I am well aware of that, thank you," he lied. "But thank you for your insight. I'm Alexander, by the way. And you are?"

Christina froze when she saw someone new appear out of the trees and instinctively she shifted into her reaper form, not sure who or what this person was. She watched him speak and noticed fangs when he made an attempt to introduce himself. Gotta be a vampire, but what is with everyone being all the way over on the east side of the Fylaria, does anyone carry a map with them? She thought as she quickly shifted back to normal human form. Just she was about to reply, she noticed a glimmer coming from his neck as well, seeing another crystal. Okay that makes a lot more sense. At least we're all squading up now in case we run into more hunters later. She glanced over Alex quickly, he did indeed look like a vampire, tall, dark, expensive taste, she was wondering why he had sunglasses on when they were under a thick layer of trees. She'd met vampires a few times on a trip or two to the Gather and wasn't exactly a big fan. She thought it was weird how they lived in covens together. "I'm going to take a guess that you're heading in our direction also." She guessed, turning to reach into her backpack and pull out her crystal.

Alex wanted to thank Lilah for her comment to Zephyr. Unfortunately, it also meant that he could be aggravating the shapeshifter. He did not want to experience the consequences of that.
"Would it be alright if I 'teamed up'"—he made air quotes—"with you all? I hate traveling alone."
He nodded in acknowledgement of the reaper's crystal and tried to meet her eyes. It was difficult because he had never seen a reaper before outside their human form. She was terrifying, and Alex hoped his eyes had not widened too much at the shift. He considered taking his sunglasses off but was suddenly grateful for them. They hid his reaction. Maybe they were probably trying to hard, but at this point he had committed to the role. Besides, they helped dim the sunlight. Like most of his brethren, Alex was particularly sensitive to light. Avoiding it would be best.
Alex shifted his weight so it was no longer evenly balanced but instead focused on his left foot. Perhaps that way he would seem more casual and approachable. He doubted his attempt at being intimidating worked, but hopefully he could spin himself to seem friendly. He legitimately wanted these people to like him. If not, well, that would be embarrassing. If they really were all part of a prophecy, Alex wanted to be part of a team, not the awkward vampire off to the side.

Christina gave a mild shrugged and glanced at the other two, they didn't really seem to think of him as a threat and she didn't see the harm in him joining, besides, they were going to meet eventually. Well, safety in numbers is what they always say. "Well we're all heading in the same place, so why not?" She replied, giving another small shrug and then went back on her way to walking in the proper direction towards the Gather. Christina shifted her eyes away from the vampire, she could smell fear on him the moment she shifted and let out a quick sigh. Rumors had always flooded around that reapers could smell the fear on you, which like most, Christina could. It smelled a lot like how salt and vinegar chips tasted, so she wasn't a particular fan of that snack, plus the ability usually only came in handy when she was trying to scare someone, which she tried to refrain from doing except for combat purposes, but she thought it was rather interesting that a vampire was scared of her.

Zephyr narrowed his eyes at her. "Yes, well, I don't make it a habit to stay in one place for very long. And I have spent the last three days away from society entirely, so pardon me my ignorance. You won't need to again." He turned away, shifting mid-motion into a bald eagle and taking to the skies with an angry shriek.
He started berating himself almost immediately. He hadn't meant to snap at the girl. His temper was not usually so short. He blamed it on his days without human interaction, on the Hunters he had killed and maimed, on the long journey he would undertake with these strangers. If he went back. He could just stay up here, among the endless blue sky, and fly all the way to the Gather. It would be so much quicker, so much easier.
But Zephyr was not a fan of the easy route. Short? Sure, but only when he made it short by moving faster, swifter, than others before him. But not easy. There was no challenge to that, no fun or possibility for the unexpected. Plus, if he arrived ahead of everyone, what would he do? Sit around on his ass, waiting for them to catch up? That sounded like even less fun than walking the whole way to the Gather.
So Zephyr resolved that he would go back — after a few more minutes among the clouds.

Alex tried not to react to Christina's sigh, although it was alarming. She probably knew she was afraid. Well great. There was no good way to explain that, was there? Alex supposed that vampires had to intimidate someone, but he was in the unfortunate position of being intimidated instead of intimidating. Frustrating how that happens. Regardless, Alex made a note to talk with Christina. Maybe he could make up for his initial (and continuing) shock at her reaper form? Ideally. He would not to burn any bridges before they had even been built.
Speaking of burnt bridges, Alex watched Zephyr fly away and pursed his lips. Oh dear, that was not a good signal. He felt responsible for that reaction and suddenly worried that he was being too standoffish. If that was the case, this mission would certainly fall apart. Alex was not necessarily happy being "the chosen vampire one" or whatever, but he would like to get along with the others or at least not make an embarrassment of himself. It would be a nice change.
Just then processing Christina's response, Alex found himself smiling. He seemed to be doing that a lot. He wiped the expression off his face, and simply offered a curt nod to express his gratitude. As he spoke, he kept his voice cheery. Hopefully it would be convincing. "Wonderful. To the Gather then?"

Christina looked up to where Zephyr had flown and rolled her eyes, boys were so freaking dramatic. I don't know how some species live so well together in the Gather, two of us are already not getting along. Well if he wants to save all of humanity, he'll come back. She glanced back to where Lilah was and motioned for her to follow after Alex and herself. She pulled a bit on her backpack straps as she walked, sort of trying to step on leaves that looked especially crunchy as she kind of liked the sound. Gazing around the forest again, she admired the colors. Most reapers lived up in the mountains in large cities without much flora around them and she hadn't come down near the border during autumn before. She glanced back at the others, wondering if she should say something to break the silence or make some small talk, but that wasn't exactly her thing and what would she even talk about? Sure she was interested in knowing about what life as a wizard or vampire was like, but she thought it would be weird to ask that, but she also thought it would be weird to ask anything, what are you supposed to say to people you have to go on a life-changing quest with?

Alex stopped moving. He stood still, the blood's stench back in his nose. He hated the smell of blood on its own, but the liquid tasted exquisite. He knew it would make the others uncomfortable seeing him drink; non-vampires always felt disturbed around a drinking vampire. Alex did not want to make that association so early in this tentative relationship, but yet again... when else would he be able to drink? Certainly he would not drink from the others. It was an act shared between loved ones or the already-dead, not with alive strangers.
Alex coughed. "Pardon, but would it be alright if I left for a moment?"
Well that was horrible wording. Alex did not want to say why he wanted to disappear (how could he discuss drinking blood in a polite manner?), but he had no idea how to allude to it. Vampires could discuss it freely among themselves since they all drank blood. How could he talk about it with a wizard and a reaper?

Christina looked over at Alex, squinting her eyes a bit at the weird question he just asked her. She just offered a small shrug in reply, figuring he had to go to the bathroom or something, still, that's a really weird way to word it. She just shook it off and figured it was something they did in their culture. "Suit yourself." She replied, glancing at him again and then turning her head back towards the forest. She glanced back again and saw that Lilah was walking far behind them and looked a bit distraught, she figured it was from her argument with Zephyr, but Christina wasn't the best at sympathy, or conflict mediation, or making friends, so she just stuck to the path that she was walking and tried to think about something that didn't involve her saving the world.

Alex thanked her, not waiting for Lilah's response, and began to walk back. He considered running, but walking seemed like more approachable. Besides, he did not want to seem too eager. As the vampire neared the corpses, he held his breath. Vampires could go a while without breathing, a helpful skill when one did not want to smell something. It would feel uncomfortable after a minute, but Alex could go for about ten minutes before taking a breath. Again, it was not comfortable but surprisingly helpful.
When he arrived at the scene, Alex was surprised at the carnage. He had expected a scene, yes, but it was still startling. The man with a crushed head was particularly gruesome. Alex had never actually seen wounds like this. On the rare occasions that he had seen fights (or rather, the aftermath of fights), people were killed by having their blood drained or their necks twisted. Nothing like this. Nevertheless, Alex found himself oddly unfazed. It was surprising but not repulsive. Perhaps that was just his vampire nature, but it was probably not best to philosophize about this right now.
Alex picked up the nearest corpse, a wound slashed across his torso. He smelled as if he had just died. The blood seeped out of him, rather than being beaten out by a weak heart. Glad to not have to kill anyone, Alex sat next to the corpse among some tree roots. He took off his glasses, tucked them into a pocket, and pulled the corpse so it flopped across his lap. Alex bit into the man's neck. He tasted wonderful.

Christina started to anxiously tap her fingers against her backpack straps as she was holding on to them. The silence out here felt a bit awkward to her, since, it was so alarmingly quiet. She slowed her pace a bit so Lilah could catch up with her since she was dragging so far behind. She glanced back a couple times, not figuring she had to say something so she didn't look weird. "Um thanks again for healing my arm." She stated, wanting to slap herself in the face, you already thanked her, why are you doing it again? Christina kept walking, trying to think of literally anything else to say, so she didn't seem so awkward. Then the thought struck her, she wanted to see if she was correct in the idea that maybe she was more powerful, like herself. "Can all wizards do healing magic?" She asked, hoping that wasn't an insulting or weird question to ask a wizard, she didn't exactly know what kinds of questions counted as insulting. The only thing reapers considered insulting was whe others asked about their form and what it represented, Christina had never shifted in front of another species until now, she never really had to worry about it.

Alex drank until the corpse was dry. Then he drank another, just to be sure. Alex stood, his cheeks slightly rosy with the recent meal. He looked at the bodies and wondered what he should do. Vampires burned their dead, but what would be respectful to humans? Should he show them any respect at all? If they could kill Alex, they likely would. Alex simply wished their spirits a safe journey to wherever they went. Vampires believed in a reincarnation of sorts, mainly since their diet revolved around the idea of life force transferring from one being to another. It made sense that death would work the same way.
With that thought, Alex ran back to meet the women. His blur settled to a steady walk behind them. Alex did not want to be too alarming. He had no idea how quickly wizards or reapers could move. Quite frankly, he knew almost nothing about them. Wizards could cast magic, sure, but how? And reapers had two forms (one human, one nightmarish), but how did that work? What else did they do? Alex knew nothing, hence he was grateful when Lilah talked about magic. Maybe they could discuss their respective abilities and Alex could learn more without being too awkward or invasive.

//nah you good, i mean we're just kind of waiting for more people rn
Christina listen to what Lilah was saying, more intrigued that she was correct in that it was a more rare ability among her kind. She glanced over noticing that Alex was back from where ever he had run off to earlier, he was gone an awfully long time for just going to the bathroom, maybe he was going to grab a snack of sorts. This caused her to wonder how that was going to go with Zephyr whenever he decided to come back. Yikes. "That's pretty interesting," she replied genuinely, trying not to sound dull or sarcastic. "I've been able to practice necromancy a couple times and only a few reapers have ever been able to, but I usually pass out afterwards," she explained. It was one of the rarer abilities of her people, just like healing magic was to wizards. She wasn't particularly a fan of raising the dead, it freaked her out a bit. The only times she had done it before was on a dare with a couple of her friends and when she was making a trip to the wizard border and came across a Hunter base, luckily she didn't pass out that time. "I was wondering if we were all chosen because our abilities are more powerful than the rest of our people," she thought aloud, wondering if the other two had any insight.

[[ I hope you don't mind a little world-building with vampire history. I'm not going to make Alex capable of compulsion or anything, I just wanted to play around with vampire history. Might include it in his personal history, idk. ]]
Alex only shrugged. According to vampire lore, some vampires were capable of compulsion. It had something to do with vampire venom. Whenever a person was bit, a bit of venom was injected as a form of sedation. Supposedly, there were once some vampires whose venom could be used to control a person. Naturally, this led to huge upsets within the nation. Wars were waged between different factions. Families were torn apart, lives were ruined, all those things that happened during war. The Kea Dictatorship reigned over a terrified population for ten years before finally and miraculously being destroyed. Compulsion destroyed generations. Thank goodness it was gone now.
The vampire took a few steps, pondering this rather undesirable portion of vampire history. He did not know what to say to the others. Shapeshifting was somewhat taboo in his coven, it was strange to openly discuss it. But if they were honest, he must be too.
"I can turn into a bat," Alex admitted. "It's not very common among vampires, but it's possible. I can hold the form for at least half an hour, perhaps more. I have not tested it much."

Zephyr lost track of time as he flew. Naw, who was he kidding? He never bothered to keep track of time to begin with, so losing track of it wasn't really possible. Regardless, he knew a good long while passed as he flew high overhead. He went around in ever-widening circles, keeping the other three "chosen ones" at the center of his circle. He spied them through the leaves every once in a while, his sharp bird eyes able to see them despite the great distance.
His circle took him around ahead of them, over a wide yet shallow stream. Then he was way out to their left, then behind them, where nothing but forest stretched out below him. And when he circled to the right, he spotted something in the trees that had an angry screech escaping him. He had found the Hunters. One was tending to his friend's injuries, but Zephyr knew that there would be no saving the man's eyesight.
The memory of his talons shredding that Hunter's eyes had a queasy feeling erupting inside him, so with another screech, Zephyr angled his wings and sped away from them on a warm thermal. He flew fast back toward the others, then tucked his wings in tight and dove straight down.
He swept through the trees, coming up fast behind the others. He spread his wings, slowing abruptly, then shifted and effortlessly fell into step beside Alex. His hands in his pockets, he walked in silence for a few minutes, listening to the others talk as he got himself caught up on what they were discussing.
Their powers. All three of them had abilities beyond what was common or normal for their species. That was certainly interesting.

//oh absolutely mossecho!!! go right ahead!!
"That's cool," Christina replied, definitely lying, she didn't really think it was something major, but didn't know enough about vampires to know if that ability was something extravagant or not. Or maybe there was more too Alex. Probably not, he seems like the type that would love to shout out any rare powers he has, or show them off, but all vampires seemed that way to Christina. She shrugged it off and kept walking. Christina gazed up towards the sky, seeing some birds flying above the treetops and wondering what the other chosen ones powers would be like. She'd never met a demon before, not finding many of them on the times she went to the Gather. She'd run into angels many times, they were kind people who came over to reaper territory sometimes. The times she met elementals they all reeked of fear which caused Christina to chew gum the entire time she was around them, she was also curious to why they were so scared of her in her human form. She jumped a bit when Zephyr seemed to return out of nowhere and started walking next to the rest of the group, finally back from his temper tantrum, she glanced over in his direction. "Find anything?" She asked him, not really expecting any good answers, but maybe starting a conversation would help him cool off.

[[ Great, thanks! ]]
"Not really, just a party trick at best. It's taboo in my coven anyways," Alex shrugged. "Wish I could summon the dead. That would be incredible."
He noticed Zephyr land next to him, painfully aware of how both of them were walking with their hands stuffed in their pockets. Lovely. Alex refused to move his. Perhaps it was a childish thing to notice, but notice he did.
"I don't suppose shapeshifters can do anything beyond shapeshift?" inquired the vampire.
Alex's cross was pinned against his chest by the crystal. Ordinarily the shape would burn him, but years of wearing it had allowed Alex to build up some tolerance. There were a few cross-shaped scars on his chest from before he could handle the holy symbol, but no one knew about them. Barely anyone in his coven even knew about the cross. It was only his father and grandmother, the other Catholics in the coven.
The vampire focused on the terrain ahead. The scent of blood was becoming fainter by the step, thank goodness. Alex would like to avoid hunters for a while.

Zephyr slid his gaze to Christina at her question. He could practically see the low opinion she had of him in her eyes. It didn't surprise or faze him; many had looked at him similarly, those both of his kind and not. Very few understood his wanderlust, or his need to be constantly in motion. He could not expect her to either, certainly not after so little time. Although in this case, he probably deserved her low opinion, given how he had behaved earlier.
"No," he answered. "But I wasn't really looking for anything." He didn't feel it necessary to mention the Hunters. They were out of commission, and would be for a good while. And if they did come back... well, then that would be on him and he would deal with them the same way he had the other one.
When Alex spoke up, Zephyr turned his multi-hued gaze on the Vampire. "No. Anything... extra, comes through in how long we can hold the shift. There are also legends among my people about Shifters who could pull off partial shifts. Give themselves animal features while remaining mostly human. But there hasn't been a Shifter that powerful in decades, centuries even." Nevermind that Zephyr himself had pulled off a partial shift. Only once, and he had not been able to do it again since.

//Also! Are storm elementals basically just like Storm from XMen? I'm debating on mixing storm with something else, like fire- a disaster or Space with something... //I of course don't intend to make my boy OP! That's no fun for anyone~

//argh okay so here's Byunnie- still haven't decided on his elements yet so im just submitting him for approval so i can change anything that needs to be changed! *Byun is his last name, btw
Byun 'V' Vēive - Male - twenty-two
Vēive stands at 6'1 with an athletic sinewy-muscled build that belies his much understated grace. Mainly because he's enough of a klutz that it's rarely seen...Yet he approaches most everything with the same easygoing confidence, very much aware of his attractive face; comprised of prominent arched brows, a strong jaw, and cat-like eyes alternately rimmed in kohl or contrasting light hues. Veive's eyes are inarguably his most captivating feature- A rosy blend of amaranth and cerise that starts out clear and darkens as the color nears his slightly misshapen pupils. They convey both compassion and openness, yet simultaneously manage to be as inexpressive as his coolly handsome features. His neat hair is naturally an absolute obsidian, devoid of sheen and so dark it seems to steal the light from the space it occupies. Unsatisfied with such a 'boring' lack of color, Veive is so rarely seen with it that the shade may as well not bear mention. His hair is currently dyed in three different hues; pastel blue on the right, cherry in the middle, and pastel pink on his left. His hair is naturally fluffy and slightly curled, often bearing the odd twist or braid as he plays with it when fidgeting. Veive's ears are pierced multiple times and the type of piercing varies, though he's very fond of cuffs, climbers, and anything that dangles. On the many occasions where he playfully sticks out his tongue, a faux gold heart is revealed near its center. The only other accessories that he's constantly wearing are a powder blue lace choker with a teardrop-shaped rose quartz at its center, an heirloom from his late grandmother that he sees as a talisman of sorts; a fraying striped ribbon featuring faded versions of his current hair colors- The ribbon is always on his person but takes many forms- a wristband, belt, quick way of tying his hair back, etc- and gloves to protect his hands, often white and made of a sturdy but breathable material. Veive's left wrist bears a trio of korean poker cards with the center one facing up, emblazoned with a +7끗 that peeks out to rest partially over the heel of his palm to symbolize 'cards up his sleeve'. His right wrist is inked with 181338 in interlocking gold script, often appearing to be a bracelet at first. (Markings representing his elements are on left bicep) While fond of the stereotypical 'vampire' style- he appreciates the ~drama~ of it all- Veive can also be seen wearing clothes that look 'casual' but are generally designer. He wears a lot of white, reflecting his desire to work in the medical field. V wears dark contacts when the need arises.
Veive creates and generates cheer- but in a strangely quiet manner. He may not be the loudest in the room, and his initially inexpressive features tend to give one the impression of cold reserve, but he truly is a warmhearted person. It's simply difficult to convey that well- he ends up seeming brusque and socially awkward instead, though he's often none the wiser. A bit of an extrovert, he's the type who loves people in general and loves to be around them. He's optimistic and bubbly, full to bursting with carefully restrained energy and good humor. Growing up in a loving household has made Veive very honest and openly affectionate; It's a struggle to curb his puppy-love urges around people who are unfamiliar with him, but society has forced him to succeed more often than not. Still, his adoring nature tends to lead to many misconceptions and has resulted in his reputation as a flirt and 'playboy'. Compassionate and easygoing, Veive can get along with even the most ill-tempered of people- mostly due to his selective hearing and sunshiny attitude. Unfortunately he's also eager-to-please and gives the impression of naïvety, making him a popular target as he rarely says 'no' to anyone and tends to do whatever is asked of him to the best of his ability. This is a side-effect of his self-sacrificing nature and diminished sense of self, something rather small in childhood that grew to encompass his whole life; Veive can't quite seem to think about or care about himself enough to stop and evaluate how he really feels, or how damaging something might be for him. There are times when one could worry about just how strong his grip on reality is- Veive is a touch too bright-natured and unflappable in even dire circumstances, with a kind of hazy quality about him that could hint at his not being entirely present, so to speak. Not that this doesn't occasionally serve him well- It ensures that he can steer through undesirable situations when they would be otherwise difficult under emotional strain.
His toned body speaks of a love for physical activity, yet his graceful artist's hands hint at a more artistic nature- Veive does his best to keep in shape- he can help more people that way!- but is simultaneously very protective of his hands, at least. He wants to be capable of delicate procedures and the like, a side-effect of which results in his being non-combative and naturally out of his depth in close quarters. He relies on his elements a bit too much to keep him out of trouble, but somewhat makes up for this by being familiar with Muay Thai kickboxing. Not enough to be proficient, but to a point where he isn't completely overwhelmed. Veive often finds that he must make it clear that he's a pacifist, yet doesn't see that his actions don't always reflect that. He believes that the world should be as simple as he is; if there is a swift and effective way to solve a problem- in his mind- he won't hesitate to act on it. No matter what that may be. In a way, this makes Veive innocently ruthless as he doesn't quite seem able to comprehend just how much damage he can cause. Especially when considering his naturally doting nature: Veive loves taking care of others, cooking, praise, and physical affection in any form. It's quite easy to make him melt and fall halfway in love with someone- another reason he's so easy to take advantage of.
Stormcalling is his most powerful but destructive element. It's difficult to control and prone to friendly fire if not carefully managed. He's also incapable of using it unless he's singing or verbalizing in some way. Nonetheless, Byun loves it despite not always being able to utilize storms to their fullest extent. It's rare for him to be alone in an area that could take a beating. V's second element is 'Space', the ability to shorten the distance between himself, others, or an object which works in away similar to teleportation. He can also manipulate the 'space' around objects and people to give the impression of telekinesis. This element is used often, but usually in more mundane settings. It has a side-effect of making him dizzy and directionally challenged if used too much and in quick succession- Veive can become confused as to where he is and won't know up from down. Besides this, it isn't quiet reflexive and he must actively concentrate on its continued use. For more challenging objects/people and distances, Veive must make physical contact to move them. He facilitates teleporting between greater distances by leaving a mark in the place- usually with a strike of lightning. Thus all of Veive's movements are generally announced with a strike of lightning and the clap of thunder that heralds his teleportation. All of his abilities are a touch underdeveloped as he's never put much effort in using them constructively or improving them beyond their current level. (His singing is also like AURORA's in which he occasionally strings together sounds and nonsense words that sound beautiful and somehow fit perfectly-)
His crystal is the pale pink of his rose quartz yet appears carnation red in indirect sunlight.
