a n x i e t y Cliff, Montana, Sari, Aria, Eddie and Raf
At her movement, Montana finally noticed his girlfriend. He knew that getting up would probably draw more attention than he would like, but he needed to be closer to her. The transfers had him on edge, and he wanted to be able to protect her. The cowboy looked to Aria, who nodded. Within three seconds, they moved together: the girl moving to his twin's side, while he made his way to Clara. It was fluid in the way that Sari, who had been right next to them, didn't flinch at the sudden movement. It was noticeable, sure, but they moved together so that the attention would be split into two. The fairy didn't have anyone to move towards, so she just kept smiling at the transfers. She did, however, jump when Pip decided to speak. Montana didn't hesitate to flash the fox a smile, but didn't say anything else.
The young prince felt the eyes on him, but only shot the girl a smile and a wave. He wasn't done roaming, but he made a mental note to find her later. It seemed like everyone was on edge, and he wasn't going to interrupt that yet. Not again. Eddie was glaring at him, internally at least. The farm boy would never show his displeasure while such a public display of politics was going on. It was rather boring for Raf, to be honest. He didn't care about anything else happening in the conversation. Whatever Billy decided to tell them, that was on her. He didn't have a say in the matter.
Montana fought the urge to scream when Komboa spoke up. He was, however, radiating annoyance. He looked to Aria, but she shook her head and nodded at Sari, who was already moving towards the kitchen with a glass in hand. Still, Montana didn't relax. While she spoke, Montana looked over the Bete girl and made his judgments about her. They were thankful for the invitation. Sounded like some dumb thing people said to be nice. He didn't trust a word out of her mouth. Fortunately, he didn't speak up, instead moving to interlace his hand with Clara's.
Eddie wanted to take the heat off of Billy, if only for a second. He didn't, however, want to lie. Something about the Mafia leader made him want to trust her. Maybe it was his mother's words in his head, not even close to the warning that his father had to say on the matter. He wasn't sure why Billy hadn't explained this yesterday, or how it hadn't come up already. "We're not banished." He said it with a finality, so that none of the transfers could say he was mistaken. Outright lying to the Isle kids, especially with something so important, would be a mistake. He couldn't imagine telling that lie to Tana, or Tia. They shouldn't receive the same sympathy that the girls did.
Cliff's eyes were drawn to the ginger the second he talked. Something about the way he stared at Collie, the intensity of his tone, made him get up without a second thought and slide into place at Collie's side. He laughed lightly, under his breathe, at the way the man blinked at the height difference. As twins, it was easy to tell that he and Collie were related. It was funny to see this reaction again, after all, everyone on the Isle was used to how much he had grown past his twin at this point. Cliff didn't speak, however. He would leave that up to Collie.
Sari returned with the water, unaware of the tension that had begun to fly through the room. She breezed past bodies of strangling muscles and crossed the divide between Transfers and Mafia, all the while smiling. The pink haired girl held out a glass of water to Komboa, and tilted her head to the side. "I hope it's okay, we don't have much variety when it comes to water." Aria turned in, towards Kenny, trying to hide a laugh in his shoulder, because she couldn't believe Sari's timing.

Roman Locke Amara Son of Wreck It Ralph and Liv Amara
"M-my day?" Besides the pan? Mori cared about that? Roman panicked inwardly for a moment, trying to remember if there was an actual, noteworthy thing to mention about his day, apart from the pan. The pan wasn't interesting or noteworthy, and the Amara boy set down the object before he accidentally crushed it from worry. Cast iron pan or not, that was an actual concern, because despite the Isle's tendency to block magic, Roman's strength wasn't magical. He was just strong. Very, very strong. Like his da.
"A cat came by to hang out for a bit, earlier." Roman loved animals, honestly, so the fact he'd seen a cat on his break had been a welcome surprise. "I gave her a bit of my snack -- she seemed friendly, but she's gone now." Which was a shame, if you asked him. Maybe he could convince Blackbeard that they needed a forge cat. While he was on that train of thought, he asked the opinion of his boss's daughter. She'd know what her dad would and wouldn't agree to. "Think Blackbeard would keep her around the forge? I could feed her, he wouldn't have to worry about it." He just thought it'd be nice to have the little friend around. Catch the mice and rats and stuff.

Dinner Party Pip, Kenny, Clara, Komboa, Hana, Shimmy
Clara caught Montana and Aria's little exchange and found herself completely confused for a moment until Montana was beside her and Aria was beside the other cowboy in the room. She relaxed when Montana was beside her, but still didn't say anything. This was a time for the leaders to be talking. She stayed near Montana, confident in herself to feel if something changed with how her boyfriend was feeling. For now, she kept her eyes on Collie, wanting to see how her sister handled this. She knew that if something went wrong it would likely be Cliff or a capo that stepped in first, but after Collie had done so much for her, she wanted to be there for Collie.
Kenny had also relaxed when Aria was closer to him. He knew she could take care of herself and didn't wanna be some overprotective boyfriend, but he wasn't comfortable with the transfers here. He wanted to protect her just as much as Montana and Homie, despite knowing all three could handle themselves fine. But right now, the cowboy kept a blank expression on his face, trying to pick up anything he could from the transfers. He was actually really good at reading people, and figured Collie might appreciate my insight he could offer after the kids were gone back off to wherever they lived.
At Collie's comment towards the transfers, Pip took her attention off of the wandering boy and stepped closer to her leader. She wasn't going to take a night off from being the muscle, and her job meant protecting the mafia and its assets. She crossed her arms and moved to stand a bit closer to Collie, but still silenced. The boy that mentioned they weren't banished seemed fine, but she kept her eyes on the ones that had seemed to take leadership positions in the group. They would be the most likely to start something, wouldn't they?
Hana barely heard and didn't pay attention to Eddie, because she was focused on Tia. "Oh! You guys know Tia? Where is she? Is she okay? I was really hoping that I would be able to find her while were here. She's one of my best friends, y'know? Well, my older cousin's best friend. But I like her a lot too. We're all super close and I wanted to make sure Tia was okay. I mean, I know she can handle herself. She's a fighter and always has been, but I wasn't sure with her being sent away to here..." And then she realized that the girl who mentioned Tia probably didn't need all of that information. At least she'd thought of that before she went into talking about Tokichiro and Leo and Freddie's relationship and her friend's superhero dreams.
Instead, she turned to Collie. "See, we aren't banished. The opposite actually. We're some of the best and brightest on Auradon. Beast picked us all specifically because of what we had to offer. Y'know, he wanted the best chance of this working out and he couldn't just pick any old students. Some just aren't we mature and responsible as us," she said. She didn't go into depth on why some of them were chosen. But like... Komboa was smart. And Hana was a fighter. And Shimmy was passionate. And Maggie and Raf were heirs. And Billy and Alicio were Beast's kids. And Akram had a lot of medical knowledge.
Komboa scooted our from behind Maggie and Billy. "Hey, Hana, why... why don't you just step back. You don't want to overwhelm them," he muttered quiet enough for only her to hear. He didn't want to offend the Isle kids by implying that they couldn't handle Hana, but alarm bells were going off in his head at her words and he was sorta kinda maybe afraid that Maggie or Billy was ready to punch Hana. And Komboa wouldn't blame them, but he didn't want to show any cracks in their trust and support of each other. They needed to be united for this.
Komboa then turned to the girl with the water, slightly flustered about actually stepping forward to stop Hana. His face felt warm and his hand was shaking slightly as he accepted the glass from her. "Oh, uh, th-thank you. It's plenty good enough. I mean, I'm sure it's wonderful! I promise your water is more than just acceptable. It's really good! Well, I think it is." He lifted the glass to his lips and drank all of it at once, only realizing that there was a possibility of it being poisoned or something after he had drank it. But he forced a smile. He then continued to hold the glass, not wanting to shove it onto an Isle kid and appear as if he believed he was higher and more important than they were. "Thank you. It was wonderful," he said, keeping the smile on his face as he turned back to Collie so nobody could see how he was breaking apart on the inside - half from embarrassment and half from the fact that he realized he could be well on his way to death from poisoned water. He'd go down in history for sure - first Auradon kid to die on the Isle. Well, he was thinking that Tana and Tia hadn't died since they were mentioned and death was not.
Goodness. He was quite the oaf, wasn't he?
Kenny actually felt himself relaxing when he saw the boy's flustered response to the water that he had asked for. Aria's laugh broke the tension for him a bit more as well, and he actually found himself cracking a small smile before turning to see how Montana and Clara and Homie were all looking. Clara was giving Montana's hand a squeeze, but not showing any signs of being uncomfortable besides that. He was proud of her - seeing how she had changed since he'd first joined the mafia to taking over the casino from him.

Edelweiss "Del" Hilda Grimhilde daughter of the Evil Queen and the Huntsman
"Here...let me handle the carrots." Del frowned, quick to take the knife away from Ernie. She was sure he was very capable, but...not with this knife. And just because they needed food didn't mean she wanted to put blood in their carrots. That seemed nasty, even if it had the potential to be nutritious and have some level of edibility.
Del briefly wondered if human blood was edible. Vampires had to come from somewhere, after all. But she was quick to push the thought away. She wasn't a vampire. Blood wasn't edible.
"So, how was everyone's days?" Now that they had their aprons, everyone was here, and they had some semblance of a system going, it was time to get the conversation started. "Well, besides Ebby and his mystery eggs." She threw a playful grin at her triplet, lightening up around the four of them like she always did. Daytime was for business-Del. Dinner time with her brothers was an entirely different ballpark.

Sailesa Vajineya Khanson of Shere Khan and Vestia
"You're a long way from home, Corinne."
Sailesa hadn't expected to ever find the Horseman girl out in the Outlands. That was the whole reason he was out here. Sailesa wanted out. He didn't want anything to do with the de Vils or their delusional lackies. That part of his life was over, and he'd been hoping that Southwark would take his answer and make their peace with it. Things had gotten too dangerous, Did he still have people he considered friends in the mafia? Sure. And if things weren't so dangerous for him, he'd go back and see them.
But the business with the Beagles? Put on hold at a time where they'd be more violent than usual.
The look in Collie's eyes when he told her he was leaving and not coming back? Quickly convinced him that he'd better mean it.
And that scared him more than anything. Sailesa was an animal. And as an animal, he was the utmost expert when it came to cornered animals, and how to identify them. Collie had backed herself into a corner, and the last time he'd seen her? The wild light in her eyes made him assume that sooner or later, she'd crack and lash out at some unsuspecting fellow.
A fellow that wasn't about to be him.
The Outlands weren't perfect, not in any measurable way or form. The structure was a mess, a far cry from the tight hierarchy he'd been accustomed to. Traitors infested the desert like termites, eating away at the base of any authority that Jace or her friends held. But there was a certain peace he'd found out here. He could stay by himself all day if he wanted.. No one expected patrols, or daily duties. He could nap until 6 pm and not only was that allowed, it was encouraged.
That led him to the question of why Corinne was here. She surely didn't come with the intent to bring him back? She wasn't that stupid, and he knew for sure that Collie hadn't sent her out here to bring him back. A flicker of light caught his attention, and his amber eyes fell onto a knife that she held.
Was she here to try to kill him, then?
He had honestly expected as much, and now sharp fangs were bared in a low, guttural snarl.
"Not a step closer."

Moriena “Mori” Blackbeard daughter of morgana and captain blackbeard
Mori nodded along as he spoke, laughing lightly when he fumbled over his words. He was nervous, for whatever reason. She supposed it could be anxiety-inducing, while talking to his boss's daughter. Overall, she could ruin his job prospects by saying one thing to her father. It didn't help that she was known as a fairly rude person throughout the isle, because of her honesty and bluntness. People were used to it now, for the most part, but she didn't interact with him much, so he might have some issues speaking with her.
Not that she particularly cared, what he thought, but still. It was nice to know she was still feared, if only a little bit. This man could literally crush her and he was afraid of her. Having a reputation like that was fun for her. Mori's expression went back to the normal sadistic tone it usually had. She was prideful, but thankfully multi-talented. Even though her thoughts had been consumed with her own little world, she had still been listening to what he was saying.
"I'm sure my dad will let you keep the cat," Mori spoke smoothly, adding to the conversation without any sign that she hadn't been thinking only of herself during the time he spoke. Blackbeard hadn't ever been against Ivy, Fry or Sly. Though, Fry and Sly stayed at her mother's place. Ivy followed her along to wherever she was living at any given time, including the cardboard box house. But her father had his own pig farm, so he certainly wasn't against animals. "The fact that he doesn't have a smithy cat already kind of surprises me, honestly."

Corinne Hillary Horseman Daughter of Headless Horseman and Camille Leon
"Guess I can no longer say the same about you," Corinne said. This was his home now She had a feeling that Sailesa wouldn't be welcomed back to Southwark with open arms. "How's life out here?" she asked. Did she really expect an answer? No, and she figured she wasn't getting one when Sailesa's eyes landed on her weapon.
"Relax, Khan. I'm not here for your blood," she said. She was just trying to be prepared for whatever other animals she may have run into. To show her intentions, she held the knife up and then dropped it to the ground. She took a couple steps away. Disarming herself may not be the best way to go if Sailesa had any interest in hurting her, but he might want to hear what she had to say.
"Do you think you'd ever come back to Southwark? You know, if some changes were made? Like... let's say, hypothetically, taking a certain family out of power?" And she meant the entire family. Cliff was too close to Collie. Clara was too spineless to run a mafia. The little ones were likely already brainwashed by their older siblings. It would be better off run by someone without loyalty to them.
Like a certain Horseman girl with a Khan by her side.
She wouldn't be this forward with most people about toppling the pedestal that Collie de Vil had put herself on, but there was clearly a reason that Sailesa had left. He was unhappy with something. It could simply be the fact that he didn't wanna deal with the expectations that came with living somewhere civilized, but she hoped there was more to it. If Corinne wasn't happy with Collie's leadership, surely there could be others like her.
And where better to start than with the boy that had just abandoned the mafia?
Even with the knife clearly out of her reach, she held her hands up with the palm facing him. She didn't fully trust Sailesa - not at all - but sometimes the risk of opening herself up to danger was worth gaining some trust.

Roman Locke Amara Son of Wreck It Ralph and Liv Amara
Roman nodded along to her words, emboldened by her agreement. If Mori thought her dad would allow a forge cat, he'd probably do so. She knew the old pirate better than anyone, after all. "I'll have to ask him about her, then, when he comes back." He replied, relieved that she didn't think his idea was stupid. The Amara boy loved animals, big or small, and tried to be gentle around them at all times. He knew his own strength, after all.
"What d'you think would be a good name for a forge cat, though?" He fished for her thoughts on this, before he tried throwing in his own. "Maybe Zippy? She scooted off pretty fast after she thought someone else was coming." Then he had a thought, and grinned. "Maybe we can even ask Ian if Captain Cutthroat Cloudy needs a Quartermaster?"

Moriena “Mori” Blackbeard daughter of morgana and captain blackbeard
At his comment, Mori jumped from her spot on the table to look out the door. She didn't see her father, and pouted. Not that he would really spend much time with her, not with Roman here. He was attached to his apprentice. She would always be the favorite, without a doubt in her mind, but he did had a spot for the giant boy. Confirming that he wasn't close to being home by standing by the door for a minute in hopeful silence, she sighed. "He must be having a problem. He'll be fine, and come back eventually." No reason to panic over an errand.
As soon as she came back, she nodded to signal that she had been listening to what he had been saying about the cat names. Zippy wouldn't fit, not among the hard lines in the Smithy. Everything in the shop was strong and hard and dark. Zippy was too preppy, too happy. Quartermaster would be funny, but Mori wasn't sure how her father would feel with another tie to the Crew. That was part of the reason he had her stay with her mom. The Coven didn't act like the Crew, with their raids and general policing attitude.
Blackbeard liked Ian enough, but the young man had ruined his reputation, to the point where he had to run a Smithy and a farm. Mori thought her dad was embarrassed about it, just a little. "What about Anvil?" She offered, as an alternative. "Is the cat black? You could go for Smokey. Oooh, what about Striker? That's fast, and not as preppy." She hopped up on the table again, swinging her legs out lightly, having fun with this. She liked naming things, even if her pets got stuck with awful names.

Eberhard Hassel Grimhilde
son of the evil queen and the huntsman Ebby winced as Ernie cut his finger right with the carrots. Moving to grab some piece of stray cloth that he could dampen with some water, he did just that. Thereafter, he moved towards his brother to offer the rag. "So you don't keep bleeding all over the place," Ebby joked. Even if hygiene in the kitchen was no joke. As Del took over the carrots, Ebby did suppose he could attempt to be useful and start draining the peas from their can in some respect. At his sister's slight comment regarding him and his newfound mysterious day with mysterious eggs, he flashed her a grin.

Mix
isabeau, billy, alicio, silver Billy's blood chilled as Collie spoke. She knew that the question was going to be asked at some point or another. And sooner only made more sense rather than later. Before she got a word out otherwise, someone was speaking in her place. Well, speaking was a rather over-talkative word given it was only three simple words spoken. But she could appreciate those words on some level as Eddie gave a simplified comment on the matter that merely told them they weren't on the isle for what one might guess. Even then, she couldn't help but to be somewhat bothered on the aspect that it hadn't been her to say those words. It was stupid- she had been quiet for likely too long and Eddie was just helping to save face for the group. So it was something extra for her to just try and file away and ignore. And quickly enough the indignation she assumed she was feeling had faded into absolute horror. Hana started talking. And she wouldn't shut up. And despite the fact that Billy immediately whipped her head around to glare at the girl, she just kept talking. And at first- at first it was fine, if not horribly timed. This was so obviously not the time to be asking about a lost friend banished to the Isle. When Hana finally shut up for a moment, Billy had thought that was the end of it. It wasn't. Billy felt fury and anxiety spike in her as Hana spoke. Spoke about just about everything she shouldn't have. The transfers were the furthest people from being banished, yet Beast still picked them out to come here. The transfers were bright students, intelligent students, mature students- students that had absolutely no business being on the Isle. All of the stupid, little implications that the transfers were on the Isle for something more. That they had plans for being here and that's why the best were offered to come here. Did Hana genuinely not realize how much she was revealing? It may have sounded small and insignificant but- they had been- Billy had been trying to keep as much of their mission quiet for a reason. And even the smallest details released to these kids could change so, so much. Now- now they knew that there was something up. Now the entirety of their reactions and opinions were going to be changed and adjusted for that and it- how were the transfers going to judge if these people were genuine in their actions and could be redeemed- that they were good people. How were they going to be certain that these people weren't going to suddenly start putting on acts just to gain their sympathy and that- that they'd be letting villains come to Auradon just for the hell of it. And- And the transfers weren't supposed to succeed in deeming any of these kids as redeemable. And Billy still didn't know how she'd actually manage that. And- And if these kids knew that- they could- they could trick the rest of the transfers into thinking that any of these isle kids were good people. All because someone let something slip. Billy could just feel herself panicking so much- that the panic would be so easily conveyed since she could just feel how tensed she got and that she was obviously unappreciative of the words Hana was saying. So she tried to take in a deep breath and give a quiet, "Thank you, Komboa," as he managed to stop Hana from talking any more on the subject before she went and gave a step by step plan of what they were doing here. Putting on as much of a kind smile as she could, even if it was riddled with stress, Billy managed to say, "I hope this isn't going to ruin dinner, right?" even if it had for Billy. There was a pit in her stomach and unless this information led to this group turning away the transfers, Billy was going to have to force herself to eat now to at least show respect for the effort these kids had put into it already.

EMMETT FLETCHER GRIMHILDE son of the evil queen and the huntsman
The sound of chopping has already made Emmett look over at Ernie, and when the knife went down on something that was decidedly not a carrot, a low whine escaped from the back of his throat. No one was supposed to get hurt. He had been hyper aware of the possibility, tried a way to avoid it. And yet it still happened.
With the quick actions of his older siblings, he relaxed. Del wouldn’t cut herself, and Ebby had already covered the wound. “Ernie, why don’t you sit down and play commentator for tonight, okay?” He made sure to look as sweet as possible, even though he was very worried at the possibility of blood still on the knife and carrots. They weren’t trying to make a potion, they didn’t need blood, they needed nutrients. Blood wasn’t something any of them should need to eat. With a critical eye, he turned away from Ernie to look at the others in suspicion.
Nah, none of them were cool enough to be a vampire, even if Hardy was barely seen in the daytime.
To avoid anymore injury, Emmett directed the easier job to Hardy. “You get the chicken, I’ll handle the rice?” The youngest child nodded without waiting, already moving to fill a pot with exactly four cups of water for the rice. He wanted the water boiling before anything else, and would have to remind the others to rinse off the food.
“I went down to the docks and hung out with Colt.” Emmett smiled brightly at his big sister before further explaining, “We walked the beach and tried to spy on the transfers.” He stopped short, because he was pretty sure that Colt had told him not to tell anyone. Oh well, it was too late now. Might as well go all in. “We didn’t see anyone new, though. Tater Tot kind of got into a rotten fish and started running the beach with it. Colt and I ended up trying to get it from him so he didn’t get sick instead of spying.”
He looked up at the ceiling, towards his room, with a glare. Not that Tater Tot could suddenly use x-ray vision, and know that Emmett was glaring at him. Still, it was the principle of the act. The familiar already knew that Emmett was disappointed in him. Emmett had made that clear when he finally pried the fish out of his mouth.

Erchanhardt Hobart Grimhilde Son of Evil Queen and the Huntsman
Again, his triplets were taking care of him.
It wasn't right, and Ernie knew it, but besides a small wince when he cut his finger, he kept that smile on his face and offered the knife over to Del. She was more capable then him, wasn't she? He also accepted the cloth from Ebby, wrapping it around his finger. "Try to clean the knife off quick before you use it," Ernie advised Del, almost feeling out of place as he told his sister what to do. He also reached forward for the chunk of carrot that had been near his finger, checking it over for blood. He didn't see any, but he still didn't want his siblings to eat that.
"And I'm fine, Emmett," he assured his youngest brother when he saw the boy's reaction. He was frustrated at his own inability to do a simple task like this. "I've survived worse than a nicked finger. But, yeah, I can play commentator if you'd like." He knew Emmett wanted him included in the night, but didn't wanna risk food safety when Ernie had already managed to cut himself. Plus, he'd already put a damper on the night when he cut himself. Hopefully he'd be able to bring some laughter back in the Grimhilde kitchen.
He stood up, grabbing a ladle to use as a microphone as he stood behind Del. "We got Edelweiss Grimhilde up first, demonstrating her carrot cutting technique. Look at those cuts! So uniform, so quick," he said. "Y'know, I used to cut like that until a career ending injury pulled me out of the game," he said, shaking his head in mock disappointment. "Del is certainly a promising player in this game right out of the gate and we'll be watching her career with interest."
"We're moving on now to a fan favorite - Eberhard Grimhilde. I've never seen pea draining techniques like that during my 18 years in this game. It's all in the flick of the rest, and Eb has the wrist flick down. Folks, he also may have just won MVP for the night with his mystery eggs!" Ernie nudged his fellow triplet playfully with his shoulder before moving to the next kid in the family - following their ages.
Hardy had given Emmett a nod and moved to grab the chicken. He gave his brother a half salute but Emmett had already moved to start working on the rice. Holding the chicken straight out in front of him, he made a small clicking noise. Cooking was a secret talent of the middle Grimhilde child's. He wasn't a fan of it, but he could step in when needed. Still, he turned towards Emmett, unsure of what recipe his younger brother had picked out for them because he kinda sorta sucked at paying attention. "Alright, Emmett, what am I doing next with this chicken?"
"Eginhardt Grimhilde is rather new to the game. This boy has skills, but rarely ever actually uses them," Ernie said, dodging a quick smack from Hardy. "A master of any puzzle put in front of him, yet he can barely remember how to tie his shoes some days. We're looking forward to seeing more from this rookie," he continued.
"And Emmett Grimhilde. He's the youngest of the bunch but has the skills to rival anyone put up against him. He's going for the water... the water... AND IT'S IN THE POT! The crowd goes wild! There's nothing stopping this team when he's in command," Ernie said, his voice getting louder as he celebrated Emmett filling the pot with water. There really was no stopping the Grimhilde kids when they put their minds together and had each other's backs, even if it was something as simple as making dinner.
He wished it was always this easy to forget about his troubles. Even that tiny voice that never left him alone lowered its voice a little as he leaned up against a counter to still be part of the night, even when he couldn't cook.
"We should go meet the transfers as a family - maybe invite them to the restaurant or something," Hardy said after listening to Emmett's story. It wasn't common for the middle boy to speak out of turn, but his attention was back on the chicken in front of him after he said that. His eyes flickered to Del for a moment. "I was working on a new thing at the rec. Ulrik's been helping me out with building some stuff." Despite not being anywhere close to friends, Hardy found that Ulrik was quiet and easy to work with - just what Hardy liked.
"And I watched Monty and Kansas for a bit. Nothing exciting," Ernie said with his normal tone and a shrug before lifting his ladle to his mouth again and deepened his voice to sound like the perfect commentator. "What's that? We just got word that it's time to interview one of our players." He slipped through his gang of siblings and came up next to Del. She was just a bit taller than him, but he stood up straight and raised his chin a bit to look at least the same height as his fellow triplet. "What about you, Del? What's been the highlights of your day?" he asked, tipping his ladle towards her mouth expectantly.

Dinner Party Collie, Homie, Maggie, Akram, Kassi
Maggie's eyes widened, almost imperceptibly, in shock at Hana's...honestly the only thing she could refer to it as was buffoonery. They'd been off the boat for one day, this had been an express instruction, to keep their mission a secret from these kids. And it took Hana one day to completely blow it. She unclenched her jaw, realizing she'd been pressing down way too hard on it in the effort to not cuss the smaller girl out where they stood. It wasn't worth ruining the attempt at diplomacy, although she better be prepared for some harsh words when they returned. Besides, she didn't like how the blonde was looking at the group, like she was observing them, watching for a sign of weakness.
Honestly, call Maggie paranoid, but they all seemed to be doing that.
Akram spoke up, before she could, and the Scottish princess thanked all the gods in the universe that he seemed so unflappable. "Y'know, I think we narrowly avoided it by jumping off to here," His laugh was light, easy. "Ali snatched that watch the other day, and the guy he took it from thought I stole it, when I was just going to give it back!" The prince of Agrabah shot a friendly glance towards the Isle kids, trying to lower the tension and distract from this huge stumble. "I fell in a dumpster." Was the story super relevant, but he heard an amused snort come from one of the girls in the crowd, carrying drinks, with a fluffy tail.
Meanwhile, Collie fought the urge to laugh, both surprised at how easy it was to get what seemed like vital information, and at how quickly -- and obviously -- they had all stumbled to cover it up.
"Don't think anything of it, Billy. It's okay." It was, quite frankly, far better than "okay". She'd had a small victory here, and she lightened up a little bit. "Let's get something to eat and drink -- Montana drove himself crazy today, and if we wait any longer, he might explode." A joking look was thrown back to her cowboy friend. "...and then I can tell you more about where to find your friend." She added as a side note, to Hana. Tell her more about her friend, and maybe pull her to the side for a conversation, see what else she could dredge from this idiot.

a n x i e t y Cliff, Montana, Sari, Aria, Eddie, and Raf
Even with his history with her sister, Eddie had tried his best to like Hana. Currently, she was not making it easy. Sure, he had been lucky to see his friend when Tana had come down from the docks to greet them. Even if he hadn't, though, he wouldn't have interrupted a serious meeting just to coo about her. Nor would he have given strangers information. Hana wasn't intelligent, at least, not when it came to common sense. Though, to be fair, no one in her family he's met has had a decent amount of social skills. Hono would've known not to tell them that they had been picked for what they had to offer. It wasn't even the truth, otherwise Eddie and Raf never would have been chosen. They were, at most, the group's adult chaperone's. He wasn't going to show his irritation, though. Being upset with Hana would only show that they there was more discord within their dynamics.
Raf, for all that he was good for, had no care or reaction to what Hana rambled out. He was moreso focused on how the Villain Kids had salsa this fresh. He hadn't had a fresh meal like this since, well, yesterday, but the effect was still there. He hadn't been expecting anything like this. It was as good as his mom's, maybe better. It could use more garlic, maybe? Cilantro was missing, but Raf couldn't fault them for that. He rather doubted that they had much access to plants. For what they had to grow, he was really impressed with them.
Meanwhile, Sari was blinking at the younger teen, expecting for him to give the empty cup to the waitress that had just served him. He had drank it down completely, and rather quickly as well. She was quiet proud of his bravery for just accepting it and trying to gain her trust. When he thanked her, she felt dismissed and backed away slowly, still wondering if they were going to get the glass back. She wasn't sure if Montana would be angry with her, if the Auradon kid stole their glass. It's not like they had many of them, nor could they just afford to lose them. Sari ended up at a table just behind Collie, ready to step in if anyone wanted something.
Montana, who had been watching the weird Auradon kid who was already eating, turned back to stare at the other Auradon kids. There was another weird one, which brought the total to three. Montana wasn't sure if these people were threats or jokes. Well, except for maybe the Bete girl. She seemed to have her head on right. She didn't want her friend's mistake to ruin their relationship with the Mafia. All in all, the chef boy had been lost in his own thoughts on the merits of dealing with stupid people versus intelligent people when he heard his name. "It wasn't any trouble, but just be careful. I wouldn't want any of y'all ending up with barrel fever tomorrow."
Before any of the Auradon kids grow anxiety from his statement, Aria quickly explained, "Barrel Fever is Cowboy Talk for a hang over, don't mind him." She smiled warmly, like she had seen her mother do to calm her father. She wanted to placate these people, make sure they didn't attack them later. "If you would like anything to drink, just ask anyone with a tray." The young blonde held up her half-chewed plastic tray. Sari quickly confirmed this idea by holding up her own wooden one that had nails sticking up through the middle. It was usually Aria's, because she was the best at not ending up with a nail in her hand, but Aria was trying to avoid looking scary tonight. Sari was pink and bubbly and impossible to be afraid of.
Cliff, in the mean time, had finally decided to speak. "As your friend has already discovered, the food is over there." He turned slightly, looking at the young man behind them. Cliff took his bag off his shoulder and opened it, placing a red flower crown on his sister's head and one made of seaweed on his own. He emptied his bag on the table next to him, spilling out crowns made of wild flowers, twigs, hemp and anything else he could find. There was even one made out of plastic bags Cliff thought was really cool. "And I've made everyone hats. At least, a little more than enough for all of you, and some of us." He winked at the group as a whole, because they all looked rather young and he didn't want to flirt with any of them directly. "Don't worry about them getting jealous, they all have at least five at home."

Dinner Party Pip, Kenny, Clara, Komboa, Hana, Shimmy, Scooter
She had messed up, hadn't she? She didn't even realize it, but she could pick up from a couple of them - Billy, Maggie - that she did not do something right. Even Komboa was staring at her with wide eyes after speaking to the girl that had given him water.
But she still smiled at Collie, attempting to smooth out the fact that she just did something wrong. "That would be great! It's been so long since I've gotten to see her," she said. Hana had been at the party that got Tia kicked out of Auradon. She still felt guilt - guilt that her friend was the only one busted - but she knew it didn't compare to the guilt that Leo felt, even if he wouldn't admit it.
"Dumpster, eh?" Scooter asked, catching the end of the one kid's story as he walked in from a back room. "Find anything good?" he asked, a playfully raised eyebrow tossed towards the boy. He was sure that the kids on Auradon used the dumpster for just trash, but it was still fun to comment on. "Now, I don't know if everyone's made the introductions, but you can call me Zach," he said. No Scooter for them - that was reserved for his family, the mafia higher ups, and one or two other special Isle kids.
At Aria's explanation of Montana's words, Clara smiled a bit and looked over at her boyfriend, staying close to him. "There's actually a decent amount of cowboys here, but you'll figure out how to understand them pretty quick," she said. With the Slim triplets and their ranking in the mafia, everyone got used to them pretty quickly.
Clara was still uneasy with the transfers, but she forced herself to stay where she was. She may not be of much use if anyone tried anything, but she knew there was a decent amount of muscle in the room. The Slims all knew how to throw a punch. Pip was leaning up against a wall, eyeing the group without any more words. She had no doubt some of the Mafia members were concealing weapons on them - and the glint of a knife showing beneath his clothes when Scooter shifted his position proved it to her.
"Yeah, we're not too bad. Don't worry," Kenny added, glancing over at Collie from where he was still rooted at Aria's side.
Komboa, however, did worry. There was so little that he knew about the Isle, despite trying to get his hands on whatever info he could before they left. He did, however, turn to the boy that spoke last and stepped forward before hesitantly taking one of the crowns. He was hesitant because of the guy himself, but he didn't wanna get in trouble from the Isle kids for stepping out of line.
It wasn't until he reached that he realized he was still holding the glass from earlier. He looked around for the girl that had given it to him. When his eyes landed on her, he held up the glass. "Is there, uh, anywhere I should put this...?" he asked.
"Food?" Shimmy asked, paying attention once Collie mentioned something to eat and drink. "I like food."

Katherine "Junior" Colorado Facilier, Jr. son of Alameda Slim and Katherine Barlow
"Right, so we can come in and cook it up, maybe get Monty and Kansas to eat a little?" Junior had no idea if their infant daughter could eat rabbit. Maybe if they mushed it up a lot first? But rabbit was solid and good for you, so it should be good for her, too. Right? It was at least worth a shot, even if the dang thing was gonna be so tough that they'd have to cook it for a while to get it anywhere near soft enough for Kansas. "She's been quiet today, mostly. Just sleeping and doin' her thing, you know." Full admit, Junior had zero experience with incredibly small children until he had his own. But she seemed happy and relatively healthy, so that had to be a good sign, right?
Leading Fern back to the house, he touched on the transfer topic again. "Y'know, the trips are probably gonna be mad for lettin' this slip, but-" and that was on them, because they should know by now there were no secrets between he and Fern. "Collie's got some big to-do going on at the Fork tonight, you know how she gets. It's for the transfers." More like, "for Collie and the mafia about the transfers, but Fern knew the comare well enough to get the subtext. "Y'all are still close, right? Maybe she can fill you in on anything she and the others dig up."

Fern Alana Facilier Daughter of Facilier and Ayizan
"Definitely," Fern said. She knew Monty would appreciate the rabbit, and they could look and see about getting it mushy enough for Kansas to eat. Otherwise, Fern would see if they had any sort of baby safe food in the house. She couldn't even remember what Monty used to eat when he was a baby and raising her brother was her only real experience with like... baby babies.
She smiled at his update about Kansas, the way she always did when Junior told her how the baby did or brought her around when Fern was working late. "She'll be a lot more exciting soon," she promised, hoping that was true. Babies slept a lot, and Fern could only hope that she and Junior could keep her healthy enough on the Isle. It wasn't exactly a place thriving with food and nutrients.
"Huh? Is that so...?" she asked when Junior told her that Collie had some event planned for the transfers. They were friends - Fern would consider Collie one of her best friends - and Fern might have to stop by tomorrow and see if there was anything that Collie was willing to share. It was totally possible that there wasn't, but she couldn't just ignore news like that.
When they reached the house, Fern opened the door and stepped inside.

MINO ELIAS OLDENBURG son of ariel and eric
Where was Mino? Well, he wasn't exactly sure. It's not like he had meant to wander off. No one was watching him, though, and he was curious. There were many cool animals around here, ones that had some scoop on the lay of the land. No one seemed to talk to them at all, they seemed very confused when he started speaking their language.
There was this cat, around the docks, who told him to walk up to the pirate captain and give him a long discussion on why he deserved love. Mino decided not to do that, as he didn't want to end up on whatever this place had as a psych ward. Or, at the very least, knocked out from a pirate who didn't want some stranger up in his love life with some dog girl.
He had found Dande, though, which was nice. She had disappeared almost the second they had gotten on the Isle. She was lying in the middle of a tiny farm of the same plant, though Mino wasn't sure what it was. The sense of clarity she had seemed too much to interrupt. If Billy was angry, he would deal with it. A smile, a shrug, and getting her back was much better than forcing Dande back now.
Besides, he was on a mission to get back to the group. The dinner seemed important and having two people gone wasn't a good first impression. He was on the other side of the island, though, so he needed to move quickly if he wanted to get there before it was over. Mino still didn't know exactly where he was going. Right now, it was just a guessing act to find somewhere with a fork.

Mix - Dinner Party
isabeau, billy, alicio, silver Unfortunately, it was too early to call it a night. And oh, how Billy desperately wished to call it a night. Collie may be reassuring her that the news wouldn't put a damper on the night, and yet Billy felt as though she was already being dragged down. There wasn't much to do to take back the information at this point though. Aside from... Billy turned her gaze to Hana with a hint of panic. She had already proved to have loose lips this night and if Billy was gathering correctly, Collie was planning to use that. Billy had absolutely no faith that Hana would be able to constrain herself with the promise of information on her own friend.Billy's head turned to meet her brother's gaze, which had been pulling away from Hana as well. She could just hear the words in his head, You want to do it, or me? Well, you're her friend, Billy attempted to convey. She widened her eyes and made a little movement with her head, glancing over at Hana as though it cleared it up.She could see him sigh and start to move. She felt a pang of guilt for saying- thinking it. She moved to put a hand on his shoulder and stop him, shaking her head and nodding it out to the rest of the party. Go have fun. Hana was her problem, not his afterall. He gave her a smile and Billy just felt a moment of relief. Until she reminded herself what their entire quiet conversation was about. She focused her attention back on Hana and Collie. She took a breath and figured she'd interrupt their conversation, "Hana? I know you want to see your friend, but it may be a better idea to wait for tomorrow to have that conversation." Even if that meant Billy couldn't be there to prevent anything else from being spilt... She hoped Alicio really wouldn't mind being given an extra duty on watching over babysitting his friend. Billy continued onwards hoping Hana listened to some reason in some part of her brain, "You won't be able to see her until after school tomorrow anyhow," unless of course Tia was attending Dragon Hall. Billy didn't know how old Tia was or how old you were until you left school on the Isle. "We're going back to the shack when the party ends, remember?" And in the morning, Billy planned to talk over some basic information to all the transfers before everyone headed off for school. Billy sincerely doubted there would be a good time for Hana to greet her friend before then. And hell, even if Hana desperately wanted to know so badly, hopefully she could prioritize the fact that her leader very obviously wanted her away from the mafia's leader for the night. -- A small part of him hoped Billy didn't mind the fact he was leaving her to deal with the Hana issue on her own. The guilt laid on his mind since he knew Billy was stressed and he was closer to Hana than she was but- But Alicio didn't want to deal with the drama tonight. The larger part of him wanted to focus on the dinner party. He kinda wanted to vocally call bullshit on this being a "dinner party." Sure, sure, it was a party and dinner was available to eat. But. Oh, but but but, they could grab food and drinks as they liked. They could wander around and talk to people. They had- they had options on what they wanted to do. A dinner party- a real dinner party was quiet. There was polite conversation. The adults talked politics, business, about them like they weren't there. And well, it was almost like they weren't. They stayed quite and listened. They sat the table and talked only when addressed. Simple things like "yes," "no," "oh, Madame Nématode, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance again." Boring small talk sparceled into the conversation. Never speak out of turn. God, the consequences that would happen... Even their mother couldn't add into the conversations without getting the go-ahead from their father first. It was a quiet affair those dinner parties. This? This was loud already, even if only thanks to Raf to start. Billy... Billy caused it to go tense. Ugh, he supposed it was unfair to solely place the blame on her there. It was a tense conversation between her and Collie. But... he didn't know Collie. He knew Billy. And Billy made things so tense, so easily. Much to say, there wasn't much explanation needed for why he didn't want to get involved in that situation. He was grateful Billy recognized his hesitance. So! It was time to have fun. And Alicio knew immediately what he wanted to do. He took the hint from Collie, actually. He wanted to talk to Montana. Cause, if he was reading things correctly, Montana's the one who set up the food and drinks and Alicio... Alicio was curious. It took him a moment to fully settle on the blonde as being the Montana. Mostly due to the fact he was the first to respond to Collie's comment about him. Huh. Well, shoot him in the foot because he genuinely wished he looked around the room a little sooner. Was it just him or was a good majority of people in the room hot? Like, holy shit, who decided that villains could create such pretty looking people? Not the point, Alicio realized. He strode over to the aforementioned Montana with a smile, "Hi! My name's Alicio, it's nice to meet you. So... correct me if I'm wrong, but were you the one in charge of making all the food?"-- The night was off to an interesting start. However, it's wasn't a bad start. At least, not in Isabeau's opinion. She supposed the transfer's leader seemed stressed, alongside what Isabeau assumed where some of the higher ranked kids within their group, but it seemed like the anxiety of the room was wearing off. More or less.
She couldn't say she had much to add to any current conversations going on. Honestly, the others had it covered between bantering with one another or welcoming in the transfer students. She felt useless. Which was in some part fair. Montana's racket was the one who did the actual work. Collie of course had to actually greet them... Cliff made little gifts for everyone and Scooter was being vocal and actually introducing himself.
Isabeau had to say, she was relating pretty hard to Pip at the moment. Who... even then had a purpose of playing guard essentially.
There was a reason Isabeau dealt with the inner dealings of the mafia rather than the outer dealings. Well, really there was multiple. Much to say, it didn't feel very helpful at the moment.
-- Count Silver in for tiny flower crown hats. That was really all there was. Silver took one look at the fancy looking (sure, they may be made of flowers and seaweed, but sue him for thinking they were cool) and immediately made his way over. He had no idea how no one else had seen them and not immediately made their way over!
In the end, Silver settled on taking a flowery flower crown. It was a toss up between that and one of the ones with twigs, as on one hand, the flower crown was such a cute thing and who didn't like flowers in their hair? On the other, the twig would last long and serve as a memory. Silver had to reason, this would be a memory one way or another, why not feel good in doing so.

Dinner Party Collie, Homie, Maggie, Akram, Kassi
"Nice to meet you, Zach!" A bright smile was flashed at the older man, who...slightly resembled a weasel, in Akram's opinion? The prince didn't question that, however. It was rude to assume someone was a furry noodle until prompted otherwise. "I'm Akram! The dumpster wasn't actually all that bad, until I saw this cool leather jacket that had a raccoon hiding underneath it." This caused the smile to become sheepish, and the prince gave an awkward laugh. "I usually really like animals, someone I know rehabilitates hurt ones. But this one was mad and definitely not hurt." He was traumatized. Ah, memories. He was already liking this potential weasel. Zach seemed friendly enough. "Have you ever found anything really cool in the trash? I brought the jacket to the Isle with me, after I patched it up...and myself. Maybe I could show it to you sometime?" Akram didn't make it a habit, digging through the dumpster. It was unsanitary, especially with his knowledge of medicine. But it was the biggest bonding point he had with Zach, until he learned more about the guy.
"Ha! It's going tae take a lot tae give me barrel fever!" Maggie accepted this challenge. She was a Scot, for crying out loud. So maybe she didn't have to drink a lot to actually get drunk, and the last time she got drunk, someone got turned into a shrub. But this was her calling, and nothing was going to stop her from achieving it. Besides, drinking was a good way to bond with these guys on their own terms. She was on her guard, sure, but they had a reason to be here, and it wasn't to sit here and scowl at the villain kids. "It'll be fine, I'm sure." She shot a pair of finger guns at the cowboy and his friends. "So what all d'ya have out here?" People didn't just throw away full bottles of alcohol, so clearly these kids had to have learned how to make their own booze. Unregulated booze, which sounded fun.
Meanwhile, Kassi skipped forward, fearless, and fixed one of the plastic bag crowns on her head. "Thank you!" They had made gifts for them, and this was all clearly going very well. "They're really pretty, how do you make them?" The Robinson girl tried to keep the conversation going, smiling up at Cliff. She wasn't very tall, and he...honestly was. He was very tall.
In all honesty, Collie wasn't going to whine about the flower crown. Sure, it made her look less tough, but it matched her aesthetic, so it was okay. What wasn't okay was Billy intercepting her mission to learn more from this Hana kid. She forced herself to not scowl at the Bete girl, instead shrugging lightly and taking a drink from her flask. "She has a point. Tia's probably asleep by now, anyway." Maybe the agreement would make them less suspicious, and instead, she turned her attention towards someone else. Clearly, she wasn't interested in getting information from Hana. Not at all. She shared a quick glance with Ronnie and Isabeau. She wanted that information, and hopefully her cousin and one of her best friends would pick up on that. "So, it may be too soon to ask, but how's the Isle been to you guys so far?" She turned the conversation to Eddie now, since everyone was splitting into groups. She had to admit, she was curious -- and suspicious -- when it came to the Radcliffe boy. He was technically her enemy, but he seemed friendly enough so far. It was sketchy, and she wanted to keep on top of that. That being said, she had no idea how to start talking to him, so mild, impersonal small talk had to do.
Ronnie caught Collie's look, and with a swish of her fluffy tail, her attention was on the terrified lion boy who needed the water. Terror meant weakness, and Isabeau could probably talk more with the girl who initially spilled the beans. No sense in flocking one person. "Here, let me have that...?" The dog girl took the glass from him, prompting him for his name.

a n x i e t y Cliff, Montana, Sari, Aria, Eddie, and Raf
When Aria and Clara spoke up, Montana tensed for a second. Now he had to worry about them not understanding him? Everyone in Southwark understood him perfectly fine. It wasn't as if he was speaking Pig Latin, which he was sure at least someone in Tortuga spoke. Did the Auradon people not know slang? Did no one have a farm? Who grew their food? Were they really so rich that other people bought their food from farms? Or was it grown in a creepy lab with weird technology? Maybe trying to go to Auradon was a bad goal. He wanted farm fresh food, not creepy modified food purchased from farms he'd never been on. Thankfully, someone screamed about barrel fever and snapped Montana back to the present. He found the girl, friendly as could be. She asked a fairly decent question as well. So, the cowboy smiled and started off with a quick, "I have everything available here. Whisky, rum, vodka, moonshine. Take your pick."
Sari, on the other hand, had all the tension drain out of her when the Auradon boy spoke up again. She watched Ronnie move towards him, solving her problem. The McCoy dealing with him meant that she didn't have to. Which was good, because she was mid panic about having to sneak into the transfer shack and steal back their dishes back. Seriously! She would've had to, if this was an Auradon tradition and all of them just started stealing their dishes. They didn't have enough dishes in the restaurant for every single one of these transfers to steal their glasses. She wasn't good at sneaking or stealing. She was too bright to go unnoticed. It came with having pink hair and wings. It would've gone horribly.
Cliff made sure to smile at every single person taking his crowns. Some of them avoided it, but he didn't mind too much. It's not like they meant to be offensive. He understood that it was not everyone's style. He would, however, make sure that he kept track of the ones that did wear the crowns. They would be his favorites, and he would protect them from harm personally. It was irrational, but he didn't mind. Cliff wasn't exactly expecting someone to waltz right up and start asking questions, but he could roll with it easily. "Anytime! I'm happy to craft things like this for any of you." It's one of the easier things they could get access to on the isle, trash crafts. Cliff wasn't sure how she'd react to the information that all of this was picked up off the dirty isle ground, or in trash cans, but it was better to rip off the bandage, in his opinion. "The one you have is made from different plastic bags that washed up on shore. The beach is perfect for finding lost things, or at least, materials to make crafts. This seaweed smelled awful until I let it dry out in the sun for a week. I kind of just find what I can and adapt it." It's their way of life, really, and okay, maybe he bypassed the whole trash thing but he didn't want to scare her. She was so small.
"When I first got here, I ran around the Isle," Eddie informed her with an easy grin. He had to hide his excitement. This was exactly why he came here, and she had given him the perfect opening. He was a little surprised about it, but he figured it made sense that the De Vils would be just as curious about him as he was about them. "Don't tell the others, but Southwark is my favorite." He tried to keep everything very chill, but acting wasn't his forte and he was under pressure to make sure that Cruella's children liked him. He couldn't complete his mother's request if they didn't like him. "It feels the most like home. Very Old London." Eddie nodded, as if that made sense at all. She wouldn't know what Old London was like. She didn't even know what modern London was like. He was an idiot, he decided that right then and there. At least he hadn't insulted her home, or spilled any secrets. He wasn't a total failure.
As the young Auradon prince walked up to her boss, Aria let go of her boyfriend to hover close by in case he needed her. She threw a worried glace at Kenny to explain her actions, but didn't wait for him. Montana recovered quickly to the boy in front of him. "Growing it, prepping it, cooking it. All me." Montana nodded, then threw a glance to Clara, his servers and siblings. "With a lot of help, of course. I couldn't have done it without my people." He squeezed Clara's hand, a small thank you for her help. He realized that he was probably in for a long conversation about this, so he turned his attention to Aria and tilted his head to the loud red head. Aria would help her get a drink, and he would have this conversation.
Aria took the very obvious signal and went up to the loud girl without a fight, no matter how much she wanted to stick around and protect the people she cared about most. So, she put on her best good person smile and spoke up, "Pick whatever floats your boat, we don't judge. Unless you order grog, because I'm pretty sure Montana hasn't allowed that in his place for years now." She shrugged, and hoped that they still had grog on Auradon. She really didn't want to explain why people drank diluted rum. It seemed like such a waste to her, and honestly she didn't fully understand why the pirates did it.
For once, escaping everyone's attention, Raf stayed around the corners of the room. He wanted to see if the party got going on it's own before stepping in. Eddie always told him that he did too much, that he was too loud and in people's faces, so he would sit back and watched what happened. However, he couldn't help but laugh when he noticed a specific little fish boy poke his head through the door, look from one side to the other, and then quietly shut the door without entering. Raf really couldn't blame him. So far, it seemed boring.

Dinner Party Pip, Kenny, Clara, Komboa, Hana, Shimmy, Scooter
Hana couldn't help but feel at least somewhat disappointed when Billy and Collie both agreed that seeing Tia was not a good option for tonight. As much as she wanted to see her friend, however, she decided not to argue with either of them. To be honest, Billy and Collie both scared her, even if Hana was sure that she could take the mafia leader in a fight. The mafia leader then turned her attention to Eddie and Hana let out a sigh. Well, finding Tia would be a goal for another day. For now, Hana decided to enjoy the night and turned to see what else the fork restaurant had to offer.
Scooter couldn't resist a small smile when the Auradon kid - Akram - started talking. "A leather jacket, eh? I'd love to see it. But yeah, those raccoons can be little monsters sometimes." He shrugged. "I find a lot of cool stuff - it's kinda my thing around here. Trashy weasel that only gets anywhere in life because of his relationship to the boss," he said, gesturing absently towards Collie with his head. He liked to think that he could make it on his own, but being a de Vil was certainly helpful. He did, however, pull a cracked fox shaped mug from seemingly out of nowhere. "Found this beauty a couple nights ago. I already got something similar for my coffee, but I'm thinking I might be able to reuse this chunk somehow," Scooter said, using his finger to trace the fox's face. It was cute - maybe the triplets or Chester would enjoy it.
Komboa's eyes widened when an older girl approached him. He'd been hoping to fade into the background, at least in the beginning. But he supposed he shouldn't be expecting that when he'd applied as a second in command. He let a few moments go by before he could find his words again. The glass. She was asking for the glass. "Oh, uh, sorry." His words were followed by a nervous laugh as he scratched the back of his neck after he handed it to her. "I'm Komboa. You are?" he asked, holding out a hand to offer a shake. His hand was trembling slightly, but he took a few deep breaths in an attempt to stop it.
Clara had done her best to keep an eye on both Collie and Montana during the introductions, but as the boy approached Montana, she turned her focus fully towards her boyfriend and the Auradon kid. Collie had Cliff, Isabeau, and her capos around if anything went wrong. She'd stick here with Montana. "Everyone sort of teamed up to get this done, but Montana took the lead on it." Montana had been put in a difficult place, trying to throw this dinner party together so quickly, but Clara had to admit that it turned out really well, and she was glad that the transfers seemed to be decent people that appreciated the party thrown for their arrival.
Pip had been floating around the edge of the party to keep an eye on things, but she decided to see what these transfers were all about. She didn't want to relax yet - she couldn't relax when she was in charge of security - but she watched the people pairing off to talk and noticed the boy from earlier that had seemed to calm down. He had intrigued her, but he was also settling off to the side - the perfect position for her to interact while still keeping an eye on everything. The fox girl pulled the sleeves of her hoodie a little bit further over her hands as she approached him. "Pip," she said, leaning up against a wall. Her eyes scanned the room once more before she looked over at him. "And you are?" There was something about the tall Auradon boy that made Pip want to talk to him. She could balance her job and a conversation. It would be fine.

Mix - Dinner Party
isabeau, billy, alicio, silver Relief flooded Billy as Collie agreed with her point, was willing to back down from the matter, and best yet, Hana had accepted it for now. Quite literally an issue saved for another day... even if that day was feasibly tomorrow. As Hana turned to enjoy the night and Collie seemed fine with moving the conversation to someone else, Billy found herself awkwardly leaning-standing by a wall, still close enough to the entrance.
--
Alicio was grinning. Oh, some part of him with a very distinct voice was berating himself for getting excited over this, but he was able to just... push that thought process away. He wanted to get to be visibly invested in this stuff for once. And there wasn't really anyone here to stop him.
Unless of course anyone and everyone who cooked on the Isle refused to let him near... In which case Alicio would be satisfied with a sad, little death on this lonely rock. He had a feeling his siblings would be upset with that though. So just, waste away instead. He was familiar with that.
But that wasn't what he wanted to focus on! He breathed out a "That's amazing!" in response to the the guy. It was also at this moment that he realized he should have actually tried some of the food in order to get a better basis and start to this conversation than just that.
But Alicio wasn't going to let him look like that much of a fool yet, "How many spices do you guys have here? Who taught you the recipes? What would you say is your favourite food out of the stuff made for tonight?" Food culture was important and Alicio was curious to know how much it differed from the cooks at home and from the ladies in the cafeteria at school.
-- Isabeau's unease regarding her current usefulness absolutely faded as she caught Collie's eye for just a moment. With a light tip of her head ever so gently, Isabeau began moving towards the direction that the little, talkative transfer was off to.
As discreetly as Isabeau could be, she placed herself near Hana before trying to start up a conversation. "Hana, right? So, you're one of Tia's Auradon friends, huh? It's really nice to meet you. I'd like to consider myself one of Tia's friends as well."

Dinner Party Collie, Homie, Maggie, Akram, Kassi
Collie regarded the Radcliffe boy curiously, for a moment. He'd run around the Isle on his own? Sure, you could call that trusting, or even brave, if he didn't particularly trust them -- which was the understandable vibe she was getting from the transfers -- but it also screamed "ill-advised". What had drawn him into looking around the Isle without any sort of backup? Huh.
Strange boy.
"I'm glad it reminds you of home," Still a little stiff, since Collie wasn't particularly sure what to make of this guy. Even so, she tried again. "It means I get to add "burgeoning psychic" to my list of skills." She'd never seen Old London. Or even New London, for that matter. If that wasn't the joke, she'd make it the joke, because that seemed a hard thing to overlook. "What about it makes you think that, though?" She wasn't going to pretend she wasn't curious about London, old, new, or otherwise. And that kept the conversation moving in an interesting way, and she'd get to learn more, herself.
In contrast to the trembling lion before her, the dog girl stood calmly, easily. She wasn't nervous or scared, or even particularly on edge. This wasn't some huge threat, this was an awkward little boy without any idea of what he was doing. She shook his hand in return, still smiling in an attempt to at least calm him down. It was...bizarre to realize that this shivering mess was related to the ferocious thugs out in the Outlands. "I'm Ronnie -- I own a bar here in Southwark, maybe you guys would want to check it out some other day? I'd be glad to show y'all around." She didn't even know if these kids drank, but it seemed like a neutral offer to spend more time around them.
"Could ah get some whisky, please?" That seemed like a good option, right now. Maybe it was a bad idea to get drunk in a situation like this, but she wanted their trust. And part of that was showing she trusted them, too. Hana was being a complete mess, and Billy was being far too tense for the situation to not warrant suspicion from the Isle kids. Granted, she wasn't entirely sure Billy wanted their mission to succeed. But Maggie was determined for the opposite to happen, and she wasn't getting anywhere, glaring at Hana and Billy. "What's the story behin' the grog, anyhow?" Seemed like a strange thing to ban, considering it was weak alcohol at best.
"Maybe some kind of decoration or ornament?" Akram suggested, looking at the fox mug as well. It seemed like a good idea to him, especially if it was cracked beyond holding liquid inside it.
If Kassi was bothered by -- or even caught notice that -- the crowns were made of trash, she didn't mention it. "Could you show me how at some point? The last time I tried to do it, I ended up tangled and tied to a fence post." She didn't sound particularly ashamed of this fact. It had been funny, to her. Not like she'd been hurt. "My friends had to help me escape it -- Masashi still doesn't let me live it down." Cliff might know Masashi, since he came from the Isle, himself. Masashi had mentioned some sort of mafia, and unless there were lots of those on this island, this was probably it.

a n x i e t y Cliff, Montana, Sari, Aria, Eddie, and Raf
Montana sent his girlfriend a grateful smile before turning back to the Auradon boy, who was asking a lot of questions. The blonde couldn't blame the kid, as he would be the same way if he was in a new place. Before everything happened with his brother and Ian, Montana had gone to the docks to find new things and seek out whatever he could to grow, or flavor his food. "Thank you," The young chef had relaxed with the compliment, and he was in his element. He could talk about food and gardening all day, without any troubles. With the way this kid looked, he'd probably have to give out more detailed explanations, but Montana didn't care about that. "The fun thing about spices is that they're in jars and packaged air tight, so when a shipment gets lost, or a jar gets thrown away, it ends up here. That's how we get things like pepper, or anything sweet." Montana explained, even though it ousted them as trash diggers. It wasn't like he was picking up anything dirty, like he said, everything was very well packaged. All he had to do was wash off the jar and everything was clean. Waterlogged spices were no good, they turned out tasting too much of salt water when they finally dried. Montana gave up that idea very quickly. "The salt water provides us with sea salt, obviously. It's not a fun task, but if we stock up enough on one day, it's not too bad."
"Meanwhile, things like corn, peppers, beans, tomatoes and onions can all be grown here. Some are easy, some took a lot more work than I thought it would." Like getting his salsa garden up to par enough that he could consistently provide salsa. Montana groaned when he thought about how horribly trying to grow cilantro went, or how long it took to get paprika right. "I learned from my parents, from pestering actual chefs, and whatever just tasted good, really." He could only shrug, because there wasn't that much of an explanation. He had no formal education, even if there were good adult chefs. Montana wasn't about to hang around them long enough to anger them. — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — Eddie couldn't help the warm smile growing on his face as she spoke, completely overwriting his nerves about being stupid. Which, he still thought he was, but it was less aggressive than before. Collie had calmed it by continuing the conversation, and her questions. "I wouldn't say psychic, considering Southwark was once London. I'm not surprised it's still like this." If they had grown and expanded away from the looks of original Southwark, Eddie would've been shocked. Still, he wasn't sure how to explain it, not in great detail or without sounding judgmental. It wasn't like he was in London that often anyways. Just for trips into the city, that sort of thing. "Everything's in the architecture, I guess? Nothing's changed." "Now London is full of subways and large skyscrapers. Here, it's the same streetlamps and houses, and building style." At this point, Eddie was sure he was burying himself into a hole. Scatter his ashes on the farm and let it be known through the kingdoms that Eddie was talking himself into getting killed. Not that he thought Collie would kill him, no, he would simply die of embarrassment right where he stood. No fault of the De Vil girl, just one idiotic man talking himself into his own grave. "It's nice," Eddie shrugged in that boyish way, looking sheepish and just as embarrassed as he felt. — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — "Honestly, it's more of an embarrassing story than an interesting one." Aria explained with a shrug, before heading to get the drink. She wasn't sure if she should tell Maggie everything or not. It was pretty harmless, but she didn't want to completely rag on Montana in the first conversation she had with an Auradon kid. Then again, it would open the girl up and make her more trusting. Maybe Aria could get something useful out of her by warming up to her. Plus, it's not like they gained any tactical advantage by knowing this. Ian and Collie were strong, so if anything, it would make it seem like they had a nonexistence weakness. When she got back, the young goddess handed the redhead her drink with a flourish she'd seen her mother do many times before. If Aria was going to woo this girl, she was going to give it her all. "My boss' brother dated the maker of rum, who loves grog. We get rum still, but Montana refuses to by any grog," Aria explained the oldest Slim Triplet as if he was being a child. In this case, he actually was. Even Junior was over the whole Ian thing, and Montana was still acting like Ian had ripped Junior's heart out and it never healed. As if Junior wasn't a grown man with his own wife and a child. "We love him, but he can hold a grudge." Especially when it was against him or his family. — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — With the purse of his lips, Cliff started to look around the room. He held out a finger, singling Kassi to wait where she was and then moved over to Aria. The De Vil boy smiled at the redhead before untying the patchworked flannel around Aria's waist. The younger girl started to protest, but Cliff clicked his tongue. "You have loving parents, I'm confiscating this for Official Boss Business." He grinned wildly before shooting off back towards Kassi, not waiting for the swing of Aria's tray or the loud, "You're not the boss!" scream coming behind him. He knew he was going to anger the other blonde, but he didn't really care. She wasn't going to actually hurt him. "Okay so," Cliff started ripping the shirt now that he was back with Kassi, and sat down so that he was more on her level. She was fairly short, and it felt weird to be towering over her. "I'm gonna show you how to do this, and you're going to explain how you ended up tied to a fence post." He was pleased to hear that Masashi was doing okay on Auradon. He was only a year younger, if Cliff remembered correctly. Even though it had been awhile, and they hadn't been all that close, Cliff was still happy to hear that Masashi had made friends. The one thing he wasn't going to do was let a little thing like jealous stop his bonding with the teen in front of him. "How is Yama?" He asked without looking up from his self given task of ripping up cloth. — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — ○ — Raf didn't respond to the little woman right away. Instead, he looked her over. Her blonde hair, the obvious animal ears that made it clear she wasn't human. It was at least a good twenty seconds of staring before he asked lowly, "Was your dad a boxer? Because damn, you’re a knockout." For as corny as the line was, Raf pulled it off with practiced ease. Even if it seemed lame, it was the tone of his voice that made up for it. Raf seemed breathless, just looking at her. Which, to be fair, he felt like he was. He wasn't even sure what she had said, but he knew he wanted to keep her talking, and keep her around him. "I'm Raffaello, but everyone calls me Raf," he followed up, making sure to fully annunciate his name but keep his last name out of anyone's mouth. He didn't need any more Shadow Kids trying to roll up on him, especially when he was trying to flirt with a pretty woman.

Dinner Party Pip, Kenny, Clara, Komboa, Hana, Shimmy, Scooter
While Hana was disappointed that Tia would have to wait for another day, she decided to take her job seriously. And one part of that was taking note of what was going on and calling Alexander tonight to give him an update on the trip itself and the members of the group. She leaned back to start to get an idea of what was going on with the different pairs until a girl approached her. She mentioned Tia and Hana smiled. "Yeah! Tia and I grew up together. Our parents were friends," she explained. "How's Tia doing?" she asked. While she knew that her friend was strong, she couldn't imagine that it was easy on Tia to make the move to here. "Oh, and how rude of me. What's your name?" she asked, feeling bad that she moved to ask about Tia before she asked who the other girl was.
"And what did you like to do for fun?" she asked. Hana hadn't seen too much of the Isle, but she really did want to explore and have some fun. She would hang out with Tia, obviously, but she wanted to see what else was going on. She already noticed the clear lack of tech on the Isle, and that was a bummer, even if she should have been prepared. She also was not allowed to bring her sword with her, so those two points knocked out a lot of her interests. She was beginning to feel a little bit tired? But didn't put too much thought into it. After all, it had been a long day.
-
Komboa was at least happy to see that the girl that approached him for his water glass wasn't angry. Or too scary, really. He'd seen a couple people in his short time here that he would be avoiding. She didn't seem too bad. When she made the offer to come drink at her bar, Komboa nodded (maybe a little too quickly). "Oh, uh, yeah, definitely. That sounds great. Nice to meet you, Ronnie. Uh, what's your bar called? Maybe we can stop down there at some point." Komboa wasn't too much of a drinker. Someone had offered him a beer once and he tried it and it was really gross. If all alcohol tasted like that, it would be miserable, but Komboa would show up. After all, Ronnie was being nice enough to invite them out to grab a drink.
"Your water is really good! So I'm, uh, sure that the alcohol is too!" he said, immediately regretting the words that tumbled out of his mouth. He wanted to be friendly, but complimenting the water he had drank? That was just weird, and Komboa hoped that he wasn't gonna scare the dog girl off for someone cooler. He wasn't very cool, unfortunately.
-
Scooter nodded a bit at the Auradon boy's suggestion. "Maybe...." he said. He brightened after a moment. "Let me know if you find anything similar! Obviously, any trash you find is yours, but I'd be happy to buy it off of you." After all, if he found three, then he could make something for all the triplets. He also fully trusted his abilities to steal something from Akram. Sneaking was his specialty. But he wanted to befriend these kids... at least until they gave him a reason not to.
"What do you like to do for fun?" he asked, tilting his head slightly. That was probably a better topic of conversation than garbage. Scooter was interested in what could be discovered. He was interested in taking the dirty remains of someone else's belongings and turning it into something beautiful or useful. But he knew not everyone was like that. "I can also show you around sometime if you'd like. If not the entire Isle, then at least Southwark. Not right now though. Collie and Montana put a lot of work into throwing this together," he said, nodding first to his aunt and then to the cowboy. A lot of others had participated as well, but they played the biggest parts.
-
Oh, this was gonna be fun, Pip decided when she heard the first words to come out of the transfer's mouth. He was cute, for sure, and there was just something about him that intrigued her. There was something there that made her want to keep talking to him, and his words assured her that he seemed to be on the same page as her. "Well, Raf, I don't quite care what my father is, but I can tell you that I’m a thief, and I’m here to steal your heart," she said. Her arms were crossed, but she had noticeably relaxed and her lips had curled upwards into a small smile. Nothing wrong with flirting a bit with the cute transfer. "You seem like the life of the party type - fun, social, cute. What are you doing off over here on the side?" she asked with a small head tilt. While she wasn't the best at reading people, she was making those guesses based on his arrival. He'd seemed really excited for Montana's food.
At least, Pip hoped that he was fun. Her readings on people could certainly be off. She really did truly suck at reading people, especially those that she didn't know. But she needed some fun in her life, especially if she was gonna be full on flirting with this guy. Were those his intentions, she wondered for a moment? Was he truly trying to flirt, or was he just finding a way to spend his time? She was surprised to find herself hoping for the first option.
-
Clara let Montana take all of the boy's questions - he was the head chef here and the Auradon kid had specifically come to talk to him. But as she listened to the two boys discuss food, she couldn't help but smile a bit. "I'm mostly self taught," she added in. And she was. As soon as she was old enough, she had basically taken over the kitchen at home and figured out how flavors worked. Besides the weird dishes she made for Collie, she liked to think everything turned out decent. "Are you into cooking? Or just curious about how we do stuff?" she asked. She was nervous to be face to face with the Auradon kids, and especially to be talking to one. But since she'd started working more with Collie and the mafia higher ups, she managed keep a polite smile on her face and the slight twinge of nervousness was hidden to anyone that didn't interact often with the de Vil girl. It was definitely easier to be facing a transfer for the first time when she had Montana with her. She had to make a good impression on these kids and couldn't risk messing stuff up for the Mafia, or the Isle in general.

Mix - Dinner Party
isabeau, billy, alicio, silver Alicio nodded along as Montana explained. He could recall far too many points in time that the cooks in his home would look at a new, fresh jar or herbs and spices and decide something was wrong with it. Alicio also witnessed them throw out those same jars. He couldn't say anything since he 'didn't know quality goods' and 'shouldn't be in the kitchen in the first place.'
He may have stolen some of the jars before they could be fully thrown out. After all, if they weren't going to use them, he might as well since he couldn't use the actual shelved jars that were kept. People noticed how a spice jar that had enough for 50 uses still suddenly decreased to 49 uses. Pointing fingers got easy when only one person in the house would sneak into the kitchen and use spices without informing anyone. Punishments were even easier to send out. Much to say, Alicio learned that taking those spices was easier in total.
He didn't take them all. And he didn't know whether to assume those same jars simply got sold to other buyers or ended up here... Wouldn't that be a funny twist of fate for them, huh?
Then Alicio realized he never really knew how sea salt was actually made. He knew it came from the sea, obviously, since it was salty waters, but he didn't know the process. Even less so that it was easy enough to do on the Isle... no offense to the Isle of course.
Especially since the place seemed to be able to support some basic vegetables. Which, following the sea salt, Alicio was unfamiliar with growing vegetables and how much care they needed. He knew their flavour profiles and how to slice and dice and chop them up, but he didn't know the first thing about actually growing them. He had a feeling Montana did. "It's impressive either way! I mean, every way you get the ingredients for food is great or creative."
Then the two people he was in a conversation with did indeed explain how they learned how to cook. Alicio couldn't say he was really surprised, since he fell into a somewhat-similar position. Well, he couldn't directly pester the cooks since they kept kicking him out of the kitchen, but he learned to watch from afar and grasp the basic ideas what they were doing. And then he taught himself the rest of the way. So he nodded.
Then, the girl standing next to Montana asked him a question and he initially awkwardly laughed. On any average day in Auradon, if someone asked Alicio that question, he'd know two things. He had done something wrong and he had to deny it. It was stupid and dumb and Alicio had hated the entire ordeal since the first time he asked why he wasn't allowed to try and help in the kitchen and the response he got was "It's not princely behaviour. That kind of work is for servants."
It was so shallow and dumb. Rosie was royalty and she didn't hide the fact she baked at all. She openly made sweets for people all the time. There was Hono, also royalty, who also didn't hide her food-making interests. Of course, she was also princess of a sugar-based kingdom and for all Alicio knew, Hana was the weird one for not baking a whole bunch... Hell! There was Cedric, a prince around his age that owned a food truck. He was allowed to cook whenever he wanted! ... Okay, so perhaps, looking onto the situation, Cedric still didn't really have that permission either... So much for his point.
Much to say, Alicio didn't know what to say. It was easy enough to lie and say that he was only curious in how they did things here (which, he was interested in). Then, he realized. There wouldn't be any harm in admitting he is into cooking here. There was literally no person, except Hana he supposed, that could somehow get it to someone who would have issue with that.
That put a smile on his face in the case it had started to droop into something more fake. "Actually, both! I, uh, I really enjoy cooking and baking. It just translated well in asking how you guys did things over here really."
Isabeau smiled in the confirmation. "No harm done. My name is Isabeau," she greeted. This transfer girl was really, really set up on her childhood friend. Isabeau wasn't sure if there was a moment that this party had started where every other one of Hana's sentences mentioned Tia in some way. But, Isabeau wasn't caught up or offended on this fact.
"She's been doing pretty well from what I know. Life's hard, but who isn't it hard for when you're on the Isle. She hangs around Southwark a lot. So even if you don't go searching for her, chances are if you stick around this city a lot, you'll find her anyway." Nothing like a subtle offer that Southwark could help Hana out just a tinge more than any other location on the Isle.
Plus, if Isabeau was correct, she could swear that Hana was one of the kids assigned to transfer into Dragon Hall. She didn't know what gods out there gave them the luck of having the talkative kid in their area, the least they could do was keep her there.
Even if the blue-teal eyes that were narrowed at Isabeau would have something different to say about it.
"As for what I do for fun, I'm something of a mechanic here. Tia and I met caused of that shared interest in building things and fixing things up. Found her sneaking around in my shop actually. She didn't cause any harm, and after solidifying she wasn't a thief, we became friends afterwards to put it as simply as possible."
"You share any interests with her while you two were on Auradon together?" Isabeau figured she'd ask in turn. She hoped to genuinely nudge some information out, cause as she loved Tia, she didn't normally choose to have long conversations regarding her.

Dinner Party Collie, Homie, Maggie, Akram, Kassi
Nodding along with Eddie's explanation, Collie let her eyes wander the room. She was still listening to him go on about architectural styles, but that didn't mean she could particularly let her guard down. Not when there were so many strangers currently in the room with them, including the guy she was talking to. "I see. We're currently trying to fix up the place, make it more liveable -- the adults left it in a state -- so it's good to hear that its working?" And it was truly gratifying to hear this. They'd been hard at work on their home, and the fact that some rich kid from Auradon didn't outright call it a slum meant that it was working. Or he was just very polite. Either one.Although, in her scan around the room, she caught one pair of teal green eyes that didn't look quite as excited as the rest. "Pardon me for a moment, Eddie." Collie didn't wander off anywhere, just broke the conversation for a moment to call out, in sheer concern, "Is everything alright, Billy? Can we help you somehow?" Cheeky rat. It was clear that Billy was suspicious of them, especially anyone talking to Hana. But Collie could play this game all night. She had endless people for Hana to talk to.--- --- ---Thankfully, Ronnie had come prepared to deal with any level of cringe that she came across. This was a mission, so she just had to deal with it. Complimenting their water was bizarre, but she wasn't going to tease him about it. The little guy already looked like he was about to choke. "We make it ourselves, our here, with what we've got. I'd like to think its pretty great." She might be wrong in that assumption, sure, but no one on the Isle ever had a problem with it.
Then again, compared to what the Auradon kids ate, the Isle kids ate trash, so. "Just look for Old Scratch, on the docks' side of Southwark. Shouldn't be too far from your current place. If the light's on, I'm there." Shouldn't be too hard to find.--- --- ---"He's doing great!" The cheerful girl promised, smiling as she watched Cliff make the garbage crowns carefully. He certainly wasn't getting tangled up in it, which Kassi couldn't claim at all. "He and his guys have set up a place in Good Luck Alley -- that's a place where we live -- and they're bot fighting and stuff again. He thought about signing up for the transfer trip, but said he was worried they'd stick him back here again." Which was sad, when Kassi thought about it, really. He shouldn't have to be scared to go home, and should have gotten to see his friends again. This Cliff guy sounded like he missed him, after all. "Oh, but! I tried using the post to give me something to rest it on, and somehow managed to get tangled in it. I don't really know, and Masashi, Shiv, and Hono can't bring it up without laughing about it." Because it was, apparently, "impossible to get yourself this tangled up", but clearly it wasn't, because Kassi had done it.
Weird.
