Erchanhardt Hobart Grimhilde Son of the Evil Queen & Huntsman
Ernie felt himself brightening as each of his siblings entered the kitchen. First it was Emmett and then it was Hardy (with Ernie dragging him) and then it was Del and then it was Ebby. It wasn't extremely common to get everyone together when you had a large family and he knew that not everyone on the Isle got along as well as the Grimhildes did.
However, the arrival of Del did come with the reminder of how little food they had. He had been looking at that himself when Emmett arrived, but seeing the sad amount of food faced with the large amount of people made it worse. But! He had decided to lock away those feelings of negativity forever and ever and forced a smile to his face, hoping none of his siblings had seen the small dip in his usual happy demeanor.
It was easier to keep that up when Ebby arrived with eggs. "Eberhard, you are an amazing human being," he said, looking over at his fellow triplet. He was proud of Ebby, and wouldn't even question where or how his brother had gotten the eggs. It didn't matter. What does matter was that they now had an entirely new source of protein to go with the scarce ingredients already in the kitchen.
Even Hardy brightened up and stopped his pouting when he saw the eggs. He still hovered near the back of the group. While he was a very good cook, he wasn't a fan of it and he knew some of his siblings enjoyed cooking more than he did and he didn't want to take that away from them. He was present, and he figured that was enough. He really did enjoy spending time with them, but he didn't want to overshadow anyone.
When Emmett directed a question at him, Ernie shook his head and smiled at the younger boy. "Nah, you're good to go, bro. I think your plan sounds awesome. Just let me know what you need me to do," he said, saluting to Emmett and giving his support to the younger boy as the leader of this family dinner. While Ernie enjoyed cooking, he wanted to see Emmett thrive while doing something he enjoyed and wouldn't do anything to take control from his little brother. He wanted Emmett to flourish and he wouldn't step in the way of Del or Ebby or Hardy either if he was good at what they liked to do.
"Although before anyone starts cooking, I do have a surprise... not as nice as eggs," he said. He left to head up to his room and shuffle through his own belongings before bringing down the aprons. It had taken him months to get all four made and the craftsmanship was a little below average, but Ernie had tried and that's what mattered. "I figured that if we were cooking as a family, we could match! After all, there's no one here to judge us..." he added the last thought almost as a pleading for his siblings to humor him and wear the aprons for at least tonight. He could understand not wanting to wander around town matching with your siblings, but in the privacy of their own kitchen?
"This one is for Del," he said, pulling out a yellow apron. "Ebby." He handed his brother a purple apron. "Hardy." This one was light blue. "And Emmett." The final one was green, just a shade lighter than Ernie's apron. "I wanted to sew little symbols on but couldn't sew so instead I drew on them. I hope they're okay for you guys?" The drawings were decent, but not amazing. Del's had a duck and Ebby's had a deer. Hardy's had a maze and Emmett's had a pie.
"Aw, thanks, Ernie," Hardy said. Despite thanking his brother, he held onto his apron. He wanted to see what the others did before he committed to wearing his apron.

Adrian "Ian" Salazar son of captain armando salazar
For what it's worth, Ian already knew better than to trust a word coming out of the young brunette's mouth. Still, something told him that the cat was being honest. Call it Captain's intuition, or naivety over his Crew's integrity. Well, the integrity part only mattered when it came to the Crew. He wasn't stupid enough to think that everyone in Tortuga was an upstanding moral citizen. How could he expect that from his people if that wasn't even who he was? No one thought he would be the one to tell them to be better people. It wasn't who he was, so long as everyone stayed within the bounds of the Pirate's Code. The older generation might've called them guidelines, but the Code was the Code, now. It was held up with honor. Ian made those rules for a reason, and all of them would be followed with every single word and action a Crew member said and took.
The Captain grinned with Chase's words, happy that hanging out with him was still considered cool. Most of the time, he felt like an old Grandpa when compared to everyone on the ship. Tana made him feel like a father most of the time, and that meant that Concord was young enough to make him feel like he was sixty instead of being four months away from being twenty-two. Ian took the can from Chase's hand to look at it more closely, then shook it next to his ear. Without much noise coming from it, Ian could only shrug before admitting, "Not sure, but we'll figure it out." Someone in town would have a can opener he could borrow. He handed Chase the can back, not wanting to freak out the young boy any more than taking it in the first place would've made him.
"We are meant to be intimidating, so you don't have to be perfectly behaved." Ian bumped Chase's shoulder with his own, but made sure to keep it light. Not that Ian wanted to fight anyone in town. It'd be much more peaceful so long as all the old pirates kept in line. Most of the time, his title in Tortuga alone was enough to keep them from any action against him. Now that he had a Crew of his own, it was even less likely for them to cause issues. Since the raiding started, the Port was a peaceful place. Outside of the Crew's mayhem, at least. It's not like they were destroying property, just stealing from those who could afford it or deserved it. No one in town was innocent, not even the children that roamed the streets. Chase was a perfect example, just sixteen and a con man.

Charleston Finley Cat Son of Cheshire Cat and Felicia
Yeah, Chase thought that hanging out with Ian sounded pretty cool. Maybe it was because of how much the captain had achieved in his life or how much intimidation he had or just because obviously hanging out with someone in a higher position of power than you made you feel more powerful. At least, it did for Chase. And if Sofia was willingly working closely with Ian, then Chase felt pretty good about Ian. Sofia - as annoying as it was at times - actually had a pretty moral life. Well, as moral as one could be being a literal pirate on a literal prison island.
Chase had no need for that. He didn't cause major harm and that was basically the only honor he followed right now. Well, and Ian's rules, but that was pretty much covered in Chase's own "rules" for himself.
Even though he had offered the can up to the older guy, Chase still felt frightened when the can was taken away. It was instinct to be protective over his food, but he stopped himself from showing any signs of the instinctual fear, knowing that Ian wasn't about to take his can and run away. He happily accepted it back, wrapping both hands around the cool metal.
"I hope it's something good. Maybe it's like... fruit. Like some of that canned fruit with the syrup in it? Ooh! Or meat! I'm craving more the sweetness of the syrupy fruit, but canned meat is like hitting the jackpot when it comes to mystery cans," he said, not even realizing how much he was rambling. Chase ended up eating a lot from cans that he'd dug out of the trash or gotten from others and he had definite favorites. That overly sweet fruit was the best. Especially the one that was all the mixed fruit with the cherries. Oh gosh he loved that.
Canned meat was good because, well, meat. Canned meat didn't even near fresh meat when it came to taste, but canned meat was about as good as it ever got out here.
Canned vegetables were next on his list. He liked peas and corn, but the carrots or mixed veggies just didn't seem to really be that... good to him. It was still food and he wouldn't turn it down.
And at the very bottom of his list was canned beans. Those were just gross, but he would still force himself to eat it.
"OR SOUP!" He got way too excited at the last suggestion, his eyes widening and a smile spreading across his face. His stomach grumbled at the discussion of food. He hadn't eaten today. Soup was like an entire meal packed into one little can. Soup was probably tied with fruit when it came to Chase's favorite canned meals. Oh boy he couldn't wait to see what he'd gotten.
When Ian mentioned that there was no need to be perfectly behaved, Chase felt his catlike grin returning. "So if I just happen to see something I can get my sticky little fingers on, I wouldn't be out of line to grab it?" he asked. Unfortunately, people tended to be vigilant about sticky fingered teenagers around here, but Chase had been perfecting this for a while. And if he did get caught, being with Ian would give him a little more oomph than he would have if he was completely on his own.
Plus, he didn't want to disappoint Ian. The captain had a done a lot for the crew - which included Chase and Sofia - and Chase was sorta kinda hoping that if he could build a relationship with the older guy, he could possibly end up in a position of power one day. Plus, he just likes having older brother figures to look up to. Ian was different than Ebby, but Chase knew he had plenty he could learn from each.

Adrian "Ian" Salazar son of captain armando salazar
Ian felt bad when he how Chase took the can back. He knew that taking the can was a bad idea in the first place, but he had wanted to see if he could give the boy any idea of what was in it. Still, he should've clarified what he was doing beforehand, or asked at the very least. He used to be that kid, worrying where the next meal would me. Hell, sometimes he still was that kid. No matter how many years pass by, Ian would always be worried about how to feed everyone in Tortuga. Even the strays that come along from the other districts were allowed to take food, provided it was offered and not stolen. He idly looked out of the corner of his eye, expecting one of the strays to be waiting there, just out of sight. They weren't ghosts, even if he felt haunted by them.
"Meat is always the preferred option, but if you got it around Tortuga, it's probably fruit." He shrugged, since it was just the facts. Sugar Plum basically ran a smuggling ring for sugar and fruit. Everything went through the docks, which is how they got sugar to make alcohol in the first place. Ian turned a blind eye and got some shares. Honestly, that's how he ran Tortuga. Blackmail, extortion and intimidation. In this case, over sugar. It was all very hardcore and worth the work of a Captain. Plus, it was fun to get to say he did have a scheme under Beast's nose. Then again, the transfers were there. He needed to talk to Collie about shutting down the Faykery for awhile. They couldn't have all their plans fail because one of the transfers realized that they were still doing very illegal things. They could hide the murders pretty easily, but if the smuggling scheme was up and running, it would be right under their nose. "Remind me that I have to talk to Collie about sugar, later, okay?" It would be a worry for later.
Using his Captain voice and standing up taller, Ian replied easily with, "Depends on who it is. Just look at me and scratch your nose. If I cough, yes. If I don't, no. Got it?" Ian had to grin, feeling a little younger by going back to schemes like this. He had spent months perfecting little cons to help Tana find her place here. When he was the only one teaching the Powder Monkey classes, it had been a really good way to bond with his future crew members. Chase was a con man himself, and Ian had no doubt he'd catch onto it quickly. The adults were too old to notice them do anything too sneaky, or too scared of Ian to question it. He'd pull out a sword before they got the accusation out.

Simisola "Sola" Namiri daughter of sabor and nuru
Sola had to remind herself not to scare the kid, again. There was nothing she could do about what happened in the past. Getting mad awhile the child was around would just be stupid. It wouldn't solve any problem, in fact, it would probably cause one. She couldn't seem like she was frustrated with him. Instead, she leaned down, trying to get more on his level so that things would seem more equal between them. It was kind of hard, considering how tall she actually was compared to the others.
"I'm sure you didn't make it easy for them," Sola mentioned with a small smile. As much as she wanted to comfort him, she didn't want to get in his personal space. He had just been attacked, so anyone touching him might cause some nervousness or even panic. She didn't need to scare him away with trapping him in a hug. So instead, she just tried her best to keep her movements very controlled. Slow, steady and without any sign of negative intentions.
The leopard girl would like to tear those cats apart, but she needed to keep calm. "Now, we can't have any of that happening. Hurting you? Wrecking food? Insulting Jace and Nanji?" She tsked, pulling her arms to her hips. Truly, Scar's children were just stupid. How much did they want a war? It wasn't as if they had challenged Jace directly. They couldn't so they attacked Shiloh instead. "So what are we going to do about it?" She looked to Nanji, since he kind of had more power than she did.
Until she got annoyed with him and Jace's antics, of course.

Edelweiss "Del" Hilda Grimhilde daughter of the Evil Queen and the Huntsman
Del mostly stayed quiet while Ernie and Emmett figured out what they were even eating tonight. She enjoyed cooking, but she enjoyed cooking. Not taking charge of the situation more than she absolutely needed to, not when she didn't have to. This was the one time where she didn't have to be a critical decision maker, and she was going to relish the opportunity.
...and figure out how the heck she was going to get out to find some more food in the morning, before breakfast.
That was on the youngest triplet's mind as the boys discussed the rice, and she wanted to get that done as quickly as possible. Maybe even before the boys woke up, really. She hated waking up early, with a fiery passion that mimicked and rivaled even the darkest pits of hell. But they needed more for breakfast than a can of tomato sauce, And the boys had already contributed a lot.
Which brought them to Ebby and the eggs.
Holding out her fist to bump it against her triplet's arm lightly, she grinned. "Who'd you have to stick up for these, Eb?" By her grin, she wasn't being serious, and didn't particularly expect him to give her an explanation, but part of her wondered. Fresh eggs weren't exactly...common on the Isle, save for the Slims' chickens, and they were still pretty hard to get a hold of. Although they had been at the Slim ranch the day before...
Del gave a thoughtful, curious glance towards Ebby, before she was interrupted by Ernie.
While Hardy hesitated with the apron, Del hardly gave putting the little gift on a second thought. She smiled at her oldest brother, then, appreciating the gift. "Thanks, Ernie, they look perfect." At some point, Del figured she should probably teach her oldest triplet how to sew. But she didn't particularly have a lot of patience for the craft, despite knowing a few basic things.
Besides, the duck he drew on hers was so cute. With it's little duck face. God, just look at it.
Adorable.
She wanted to ruffle Ernie's hair or something, just to mess with him. But that seemed like a bit much at the moment, so she just shot a cheerful thumbs-up towards the boys. "Once everyone gets their aprons on, are we good to go?" It felt like they would be, really. They were all here -- or, at least, all the inhabitants of the house besides Dad that mattered, but that was beside the point. They were all here, hungry, and ready to cook.
Del turned to Ernie and Emmett for instructions, giving the boys a mock-salute. "What do you need me doing first, chefs?"

Nanji Saif Namiri son of Nuru and Sabor
"We..." Nanji started softly, gesturing from his sister to himself. "Aren't going to do anything." Well, that was a rather simplistic way of wording the matter, admittedly. They weren't going to let Shiloh sit here and cry and continue to get bullied, of course. That was cruelty and madness, and the big cat man took pride in not being cruel nor mad. Nanji had always been like that, really. He wasn't about to fall upon the lions in a screaming mass of claws and rage to defend the boy who had, in a way, become his son. He wasn't going to get even, he wasn't going to seek out revenge on Shy's behalf. There was a quieter, more fulfilling way of defeating them, that asserted Shiloh's place here, his and Jace's ruling on the matter, and the lions' evident wrongness in one fell swoop.
"Shiloh, if you're not too injured, you're learning how to fight." This would kill four particularly obnoxious birds...cats...catbirds...whatever the hell they were...with one stone. And Nanji fully intended that stone to be Shiloh's tiny fists. "Today." Unless Shy was too hurt for that sort of activity, then there was no sense in holding it off. After all, the lions -- and Mico -- would only continue to bully him further, and that wasn't something the panther would actually stand for. Shiloh would start learning how to defend himself as soon as possible, if Nanji had any say in the matter.
Which, he did.
He was Nanji.
About the only people that could oppose him on this were Jace, Sola, and Shamakani. Jace and Sola probably wouldn't, and if Shamakani bucked up to him, then he had no problem reminding her why she shouldn't. He wasn't Shiloh, and the cowardly lion was fully aware of that. "Lala, you gonna stick around and help me? They won't stop picking on him until he thrashes them himself." He mentioned to his sister, turning a pale green, catlike gaze on her.

Charleston Finley Cat Son of Cheshire Cat and Felicia
Chase continued to hold the can in one hand. He would let Ian or Ebby or Sofia see the can, but besides them, he wasn't very trustworthy of anyone that wanted to see the can. It was food, and Chase wasn't about to let someone take his food away from him. He was willing to share, however. Especially if Ian could help him get the can open. The cat was not yet an owner of a can opener, so he always needed to seek out help whenever it came time to eat from a can.
"I dug it out of someone's garbage. As far as I know, it might not even be food. But I got a good feeling about this. We can even share, Ian!" he said. Again, the list of people he would share with was short, but it existed.
"Collie?" Chase asked, but nodded. The other gangs intrigued him, but he was a pirate down to his heart. Fern was just a little too... easygoing and soft in his opinion, and he wasn't sure what to make of Collie. The ferals seemed like a fun group as well, but Chase actually enjoyed a bit of civilization. Plus, more people to steal from.
"Oh, you are so much cooler than Sofia," Chase said. Sofia normally didn't participate in Chase's stealing or scams or whatever he got into. If she came along, it was solely for protection. Plus, Chase knew she wanted to help if she was going to benefit from the food he got his sticky little fingers on. Maybe Ian was a better partner to have when Chase wandered into town to mess with the adults, but he knew that the Captain was a busy man.

Shiloh Benton Jack Son of ShiverJack & Beatrice Le Beak
Shiloh knew that he should be grateful. His friends - Nanji, Jace, and Sola - were three of the strongest members of the group. At least, he thought so. His friends were all pretty cool. He smiled a bit as Sola's comment, but also felt a little bit of disappointment. He did make it easy on them. He was an easy target and all he could do was threaten to tell Jace and that didn't have any affect on the lions and Mico.
He looked between Nanji and Sola, embarrassed and upset about what had happened with the lions. He should have been better prepared to stand up for himself, but whenever they appeared, he just kind of froze in fear and it frustrated him. He didn't want the lions to win, but they were succeeding in making him want to run back to human society.
When Nanji spoke up with a suggestion on how to get back at the lions, the young boy's eyes widened with fear. Fighting? He knew that he would have to learn to fight, but for some reason the thought still made him fear. Plus he knew that Nanji wouldn't hurt him. Sola or Jace either, if they jumped in to help Nanji.
But that did mean that if he was fighting the lions, they would get rougher on him when he actually started fighting back instead of just allowing them to push him around.
But he tried to push those fears away as he nodded to Nanji. "I-I wanna learn how to fight," he agreed. He didn't want to learn and he was terrified, but the one thing he'd learned living out here was that he would need to be strong and earn his place among the ferals. He had it harder than most, he supposed. Not everyone was as accepting of a human joining as Jace, Nanji, and Sola.
He looked at Nanji and then at Sola. "I wanna learn how to be strong like you guys."

Adrian "Ian" Salazar son of captain armando salazar
Even though Chase was skeptical, Ian was fairly certain that it was food. There's not much else that came in cans, not as far as he knew. Oil, maybe. Then again, he wouldn't put it past an Auradon brat to send them worms or something along those lines. It's not like he knew exactly what came in cans and what didn't. All in all, he had very limited knowledge on the usages of cans. He hadn't heard anything coming from the thing that could give him a clue of what was in it. Still, he would help Chase. If not for his own curiosity, then to get the kid some food. Chase and his siblings were apart of his Crew, they deserved everything. Even if it wasn't food, it would go to them and anyone else Chase offered it to. Except for himself. "You should share with your family, Chase. I'm the provider, remember? No one needs to give me anything." He didn't like it when the Crew tried to give him things. He was supposed to be the one protecting people, not the other way around.
The young adult didn't say anything else about Collie, pushing it out of his mind. Worrying about the sugar smuggling wouldn't be productive on with his current task. He was busy enough as is, and he would see the Mafia leader soon enough. Sugar Plum would be angry, but Ian didn't really care about roughly ninety percent of the adults on the Isle, and that was pushing it. Chase would remind him, and if not, he had thought about it enough to remember himself. He'd handle it after intimidating every adult in Tortuga. That was his current worry, and he wouldn't let the thought of Auradon's rule loom over it. Making the parents sweat was a fun little task of his, even the nice ones were scared. It was a good way to make sure he still had control over the port.
"You're sister is plenty cool," Ian replied easily. He wasn't going to scold Chase on how he interacted with his sister. Sibling relationships were weird, because no matter what they did or what happened, they would love each other. As an only child, he didn't understand it until he met Tana and even then, he only had a handful of years under his belt. "I picked her as Quartermaster for a reason, Chase." Just because she was a strict older sister didn't mean she wasn't fun. Ian pulled shenanigans like this with Farris, Mair and Sofia. They just tended to leave the majority of the Crew out. He couldn't have them seeing him out of control. "She's just trying to protect you, that's all."

Charleston Finley Cat Son of Cheshire Cat and Felicia
"You sure?" Chase asked when Ian said to share it with his family rather than with the captain. "I mean, I wanted to share with Ebby, but he's busy and I'm not sure where Sofia and Concord are right now." He was glad that Sofia was so willing to accept Concord as another sibling. That was another mouth to feed, sure, but Chase liked having both of his siblings together. It would suck if Concord and Sofia didn't get along. "And I had planned on eating right away, but it seems rude to eat in front of you and not give you any," he said. He knew Ian was perfectly capable of feeding himself, but the cat still felt... wrong not offering him any.
Sure, usually he had no desire to offer food to people that weren't Sofia, Concord, or Ebby, but Ian did a lot to provide for the crew, so Chase didn't see why it was so wrong to offer to pay him back.
Sofia didn't share many details about what happened when she was off with the higher up members of the crew, but Chase just had to assume that they were all doing boring leaderly things like budgets and rationing or whatever. "Sofia is boring," he repeated, dragging the last word out a bit. He loved Sofia. He was passionate about protecting his family, and would have an issue if anyone else smack talked her, but it was basically his job as the obnoxious younger brother. She just pretended she didn't see what Chase was doing when he scammed or stole and very rarely jumped in to help him - only if he was in danger, really. "But I suppose I can't complain too much. I make her life harder and she never gives up on me." He admired her for that. He was not easy to live with. Not easy to be responsible for.
Just because she was boring doesn't mean she wasn't a good sister.
He paused. "Do ya think I could ever follow in her footsteps? Do you think I could ever have a chance of getting up into the higher ranks of the crew?" he asked. Ian was the best one to ask, since he would be choosing any higher members. Of course, Chase didn't want Sofia or Mair or Farris to get harmed and have to step down or die, but both of those options were extremely possible when it came fo living here.
"So what do you think? Got anything to help me get this can open?" he asked. Whether or not Chase ate it now and whether or not Ian joined him, Chase just wanted to know what was inside. Curiosity was gnawing at the cat, and he was desperately hoping it was either meat or sweet, sugary, syrupy fruit.

Simisola "Sola" Namiri daughter of sabor and nuru
The panther raised an eyebrow at her brother's words. Do nothing? Sola questioned in her thoughts, confused on her brother's meaning. She was definitely going to do something. She didn't care what he and Jace said. The Feral's weren't some democratic society that keeps every citizen in check. She could do whatever she wanted, and she would. Later. When Shiloh wasn't in front of her. Doing nothing seemed like a horrible idea.
Once Nanji had fully explained the idea, Sola got on board.
It was a good idea, teaching the kid how to fight. It would keep him out of trouble from the lions on their own, but lions traveled in packs. Where one was, the others were sure to follow. Just because she was on board with the plan didn't mean that she was going to sit back and let it be her only course of action. Training Shiloh was important, but so was protecting him. From now on, Sola would do her best to make sure he was never alone. It was the only way to be certain that Shiloh wouldn't go through this again.
"Yeah, I'm staying." She stood up to her full height, then, making herself look bigger and stronger to boost her appearance. Sola smiled at Shiloh's found confidence while he spoke, proud of the little boy. She continued talking, proving her worth to the boy. "After all, I beat you." She sent her brother an arrogant grin, thought it wasn't a challenge. "I beat Jace. I think that's enough to qualify me for the job." Fighting them wasn't an every day occurrence like it was for them, but she did fight.

Adrian "Ian" Salazar son of captain armando salazar
"Yeah, Cat, I'm sure," Ian sent the kid another smile, trying his best to reassure him. He was being completely honest when he said that he did not want to take away from Chase. All in all, he tried not to take away from anyone on the crew. Having some of Chase's food, even after it was freely offered, seemed immoral. Ian couldn't place exactly why, but there was no way he was going to do such a thing. "It's not rude. You put in the effort to find it, and it's not like I'm hungry." He wasn't exactly lying. He had a snack before he went out, not wanting to be caught trying to intimidate anyone and then have his stomach growl. Ian had plenty of access to food. Out of anyone in Tortuga, he was someone highly unlikely to starve, when compared to the rest of the citizens.
Ian peered down at the kid and raised an eyebrow, "I have insider information. Your sister is not boring." Objectively, Ian knew that Chase was just a little brother. Siblings tended to think of each other as lame. Tana called him plenty of names all the time, but he just found it adorable. She was already so close to being an adult and he still thought of her as the child he met when she came to the Isle. Ian was certain that Sofia felt the same way about her little brothers. "And I know she would never think that you make her life harder." If anything, siblings made life better. Ian had never been alone, not really, but things changed when he got a sister. Everything was louder, for one.
"Ah ha, so you want to be leadership material." The Captain nodded, not too surprised. At lot of the Crew members had to want more for their lives. Ian encouraged that kind of thinking. "I already know you're fun, you can con just fine, but you also have to prove that you're responsible." He gave the teenager a pointed look, since it was a very purposeful thing to say. Just because Sofia was responsible didn't negate their fun. "Leaders need resilience and passion, which you have but they also need to be accountable and listen to others." He used to have trouble with that, when he was younger. It had taken him a long time to figure out that he didn't need to solely depend on himself, that the others would help him. "And you have to fulfill your obligations, even if you don't want to. Be strategic, smart, and willing to do whatever it takes for the people who depend on you."
The kid had the ability to be a leader, but Ian would never promote someone who didn't have those qualities. Mair was exceptionally smart, even if he had some annoying qualities. He was a friend, and Ian respected everything he did for the Crew. Sofia had enough compassion to last the Crew a lifetime. Farris was where the real responsibility was. He loved all of the high ranking members of the Crew, even if he didn't verbally say it. He was thinking too much about this, though, and snapped back to pay attention to what Chase was saying. Right, the can opener. "We're going to Hook's. As much as it will smell, he'll have a can opener." Plus, it was on the list of where to go and if Hook tried anything, Ian could show off a little. Going to Mr. Smee's was the safer bet, but that wouldn't be as fun.

"Hmmm..." Chase said when Ian pressed on about not accepting whatever was in the can. He opened his mouth to argue yet again, but then his stomach grumbled and he frowned. "Fine," he said. Well, now he didn't want to eat it all. If Ian wasn't going to share, then Chase had to make sure he saved some for Sofia and Concord to have. It just didn't feel... fair to eat an entire can when he had family that needed food just as much as he did. Especially Concord. He wanted to take care of Sofia, but Concord was the one person he got to be an older sibling to.
Chase didn't exactly believe Ian on Sofia being not boring, but maybe the captain had experiences with his older sister that he didn't. Or maybe Ian was just really weird and thought that boring was fun... Nah Ian didn't seem like the kinda guy that would consider boring to be fun. Really, Chase didn't see many people on the Isle that he thought would consider boring to be fun. "I appreciate Sofia," he added, not wanting Ian to think he was totally trashing his older sister. "I'm gonna bring some of... whatever is in this can to Sofia and Concord," he said. His family was important to him. With the way that Ian took care of the crew, he had to understand Chase's desire to protect his family. Sofia felt the same way, so Chase was sure that Ian had heard similar things from her.
There was a lot that Ian listed about being a leader, but Chase thought he could do it. "Do you think there's any chance that I could like... shadow or apprentice or whatever? To you or Farris or Mair?" He didn't wanna go with Sofia just because he knew that she would always treat him more as a brother than actually teaching him anything. But if Ian liked Farris and Mair enough to make them higher ups, then they had to have some important things to share. And Ian obviously did. He was the leader and the one that made all the decisions on the leadership team.
"Let's give Hook a visit," he agreed. He knew that Hook had a couple kids on the Crew, but he also wouldn't mind a chance to have Ian's back if Hook decided to cause trouble. Chase really just wanted a can opener though.

Eberhard Hassel Grimhilde
son of the evil queen and the huntsman Ebby gave a little nod to Emmett, a set of finger guns towards Ernie, and a clever, little wink towards Del and her question. However, he didn't actually respond on just how he got the eggs. If he needed to, he'd iterate that it had been a very, very weird day for him and it didn't matter so much now that they had the eggs. Ebby was counting it as his contribution to the table due to his well-known lack of ability to do anything actually related to cooking. He was moral support for his siblings and yet.... Yet that didn't compare to the sheer excitement Ebby felt as Ernie brought out some aprons. Handed the beautiful, beautiful thing that Ernie had gotten them, Ebby was stunned into simply staring at the beauty of it. The tiny deer was adorable and he knew for a fact that Bitte would love the little drawing once Ebby showed his familiar. Of course, the other four had less respect and boundaries and would probably try to chew on it, so he supposed only Bitte got the pleasure of viewing it. One way or another, Ebby looked to Ernie with a grin on his face, "Sheesh Ernie, these are beautiful. They're gonna last longer than the eggs anyhow- this is a great gift!"As Del asked whether they'd all be good to go once aprons were on, Ebby made a move to actually put the apron on before giving her a thumbs up on the matter. "Same goes for me," he added on as Del saluted their brothers. He wasn't a cook, but he could still try to help after all.

EMMETT FLETCHER GRIMHILDE son of the evil queen and the magic mirror
At the sight of the aprons, Emmett's eyes widened like saucers and his mouth opened just slightly, in surprise. He looked to Ernie, then to the apron and back to his brother. With cautious hands, he took the apron and lightly brushed his hands against the pie. It was awesome.
This is when his brain kicked into gear, because his reaction had been a little muddled while he processed what was actually going on. Emmett shrieked in sheer delight, not being able to control his excitement. "Ernie, this is so cool! Thank you so much, I love it!" He carefully put the strap around his head and tied the strings together in the middle, only to pat the pie drawing with a bright smile. His siblings were beyond the coolest. Ebby let him take his clothes, and now Ernie made him an apron! Of his very own! With a pie on it!
He was going to wear this all the time.
But then Del pointed out that they still had a dinner to cook. Less freak out about the amazing gift his brother gave him, more about food. He gave Hardy a pointed look as he said, "Aprons are a requirement now." He couldn't keep a serious face, though, he was too happy, so his smile cracked through. It was important to him, though.
"Alright, first off, we need to boil water for the rice. That's what's going to take the longest." It was also the most vital part of the dinner, truly the main portion of their meal. "While that's happening, we should have the rice soaking in water, cut the carrots and drain the peas and chicken from their cans." The next steps would come after, but he figured that was enough for his siblings to sort out duties for themselves. He didn't want to be in charge of telling anyone that they had to handle boiling water or using a knife.

Adrian "Ian" Salazar son of captain armando salazar
"I'm glad you're sharing with your siblings," Ian made sure Chase knew he had approval. Not that he needed it, but it was important for everyone to know they should share with family. At least, good family. No one was going to get him to give Salazar anything he owned. The Crew, and more specifically Tana, got everything they wanted as soon as he could find it for them. Chase had spent the day finding the can, and even stole it all by himself. Just because Ian was helping him didn't mean that he deserved whatever was in the can. Concord was just a child. He needed food to grow strong and tall. "Thank you for dropping the Sofia thing," Ian added as an after thought. He really didn't want to spend time fighting Chase on this subject.
As for shadowing them, it could be dangerous. Especially with the transfers around. Having some kid around might hurt their reputation, especially if Chase said something he shouldn't There was a lot that could go wrong in any situation. He could send the kid away before actually having a meeting with the Bete girl, but Ian still wasn't certain that it would work. Billy was something else, honestly. He respected her, even if he didn't trust her. She would make a good leader, so even if she was solely chosen for her birth, Ian still knew better than to write her off. If anyone questioned it, he could just point out that it was actually his mistrust that showed off how much he admired the girl. Maybe he could get her on his side. He'd have to mention it to the Crew, and see if he could figure out a way for them to try to bond with the transfers.
Chase was still waiting for an answer, so Ian nodded. "I'll let you shadow me, if you swear not to talk around the leaders of the other gangs and listen to whatever order I give you without a word of back talk." He figured he seemed a little harsh with his words, so he had to further explain why this was such an important part of the shadowing. "If the others see any sign of weakness, especially the transfers, it can smell trouble for us. I don't want them figuring out any of our plans." Chase was still a kid. Most of the Crew was, compared to him. No matter how much they lived through, they were still a bunch of teenagers. He wasn't much better, but he had experience on them. It was enough. "I can't say anything about the others, though, so you'll have to ask Mair and Farris yourself." He understood the exclusion of Sofia without further explanation. Tana would never ask to shadow him. If anything, she'd sneak over to the Outlands and shadow Jace.
Ian let the kid into the shop, crossing his arms. There were a handful of people in the shop, and Blackbeard was actually distracting Hook at the moment. So, without hesitation, Ian started snooping around. There was a lot of nonsense items in the Inlet, and most related to fishing. As someone who grew up on the docks, Ian knew that more than half the time, fishing in the polluted waters was an awful idea. One time, he had caught a shoe while fishing. It was horrifying. He never wanted to go through that again. "Ha!" Ian let out as he grinned, finally finding stupid tool under a bucket of fish hooks. He saw Hook look over at him due to the noise, but a single glare from Ian kept him quiet. "Chase," Ian handed the teenager the tool before anything went badly. Ian was pretty much lucky that Blackbeard was around. Things wouldn't have gone as smoothly without his unwitting distraction.

Roman Locke Amara Son of Wreck It Ralph and Liv Amara
Roman frowned thoughtfully at the lump of metal on the anvil beneath him, trying to figure out the best way to go about his job. Blackbeard had given him the task before he left out, judging the Amara boy as competent enough for a simple, unsupervised job. And to be fair, Roman felt himself ready too. His hesitation wasn't out of fear or doubt, just simple thoughtfulness, his mind devoted to the task at hand. He hadn't been working for Blackbeard long -- maybe a couple of months -- but he loved his job, and was grateful for the old pirate's instructions.
When Mori entered the room, he hadn't noticed at first, beyond movement out of the corner of his eyes. Had Blackbeard forgotten something when he left out? Unlikely. Roman looked up for a moment, and Mori's words registered in his ears...
...and he jumped.
Normally, Roman thought he was pretty calm and steady. He was good at his job, and good at slowly judging situations. All of this went out the window, however, when Moriana Blackbeard was involved.
Trying to save any level of dignity he could muster, the mountain of a boy leaned on a table with one arm, giving the squid girl what he hoped was a casual wave with his free hand.
"H-hey, Mori!" Roman cleared his throat before trying again. "I...uh...not bad at all! Your dad gave me an assignment to do before he left -- he wants me to make a pan, which seems easy enough." Did that sound too arrogant? God, that sounded too arrogant. "Of course, it's still a valuable lesson, even if it's a simple object, and a job's a job, so..." The apprentice trailed off nervously, before trying to change the subject. "How's your day, so far?"

Moriena “Mori” Blackbeard daughter of morgana and captain blackbeard
While he had seemed distracted before she piped up, Mori hadn't thought that she would actually manage to spook him. Her father had spoken to her on his way out, so she figured that announcing herself was pointless. Apparently, she was wrong. She looked around, her eyes landing on the anvil and his work in front of him. At least he hadn't been slacking off while her dad was gone. Mori felt a little bad for interrupting, but it didn't stop her from conversing with the boy.
"I'm glad it's working out for you," Mori replied civilly, but didn't change her blank expression. She didn't want to run off her father's only employee without thoroughly vetting him first. There was not fault in thinking that a pan was an easy task. By all accounts, it was. She didn't take up her father's practice, she had no interest in actually doing an apprenticeship in smithing, but that didn't mean that she was going to allow just anyone to learn her father's secrets.
She was surprised that he actually inquired into her day, it was rather polite of him. Watching his expression, she realized that it seemed, to her at least, that he actually wanted to know the information. It wasn't just out of a need for small talk to fill the silence. Or, maybe he was just trying to change the subject from his awkward pan talk. Mori didn't care about the pan, so long as he didn't mess the task up. It would put her father behind on his work, and then he would have to redo it himself. Then again, they all knew it was an easy job. Ruining it would be harder than doing the job correctly.
Mori did have to reply to it, though, so might as well go into detail. Either way, it would change the subject and fully answer his question. "I was supposed to hang out with my friend, but I can't find him and then my old best friend decided he was going to be super weird. That's why I'm here, hiding." She finally smiled, although it was a small one. Then she felt some need to actually be nice, though she wasn't sure why. She tried not to cringe as she asked, "How was your's, then? Outside of the, pan-making." She gestured to the mess on the anvil, although it was unnecessary. She thought it was kind of funny to bring the job up again, since it would hopefully show her if he actually cared or not.

DINNER PARTY
red, mac, marlie
Red was….uneasy. Standing by herself in the corner of the room, she kept her gaze trained on the doorway. As per Montana’s request, she’d come equipped with backup. And yet even with the added security, the redhead was a bundle of anxious energy that manifested itself physically in the nervous bounce of her knee and the darting of her eyes from the door to her fellow mafia members and back again. The urge to down a drink or two -or seven- was strong, but she wouldn't allow herself to be anything less than 100%. Was she afraid? No, not really. Just cautious. And with every minute that ticked by, she grew more weary of the long night ahead of them. Where the hell were the transfers? When she'd left them, she'd been kind of confident that they were going to accept the invitation. She'd tried to do everything right, had backed off and given them their space and been as friendly as she could manage.....so where were they?
"It's a huge fork. How could they miss it?" She mumbled, to no one in particular, cursing herself for not taking the extra few minutes to draw them a map or something. All she could do was hope that they'd show up, and that by the end of the night they'd be one step closer to figuring out the motive behind this impromptu visit. If not...well, she'd hold onto her stabby backup plan.
🌼 🌼 🌼 🌼 🌼 🌼
Mac was excited! He was eager! He was ready! He was thinking in exclamation points! As the small group made their way through unfamiliar territory, the Charming boy refused to lose his sense of optimism no matter how lost it might seem they were, or how likely it was that they were walking straight into an ambush. A bright smile plastered on his face, he walked with a little extra pep in his step, the thought of meeting and befriending the Isle’s inhabitants spurring him on. So far, his stay on the Isle had been nothing but awe-inspiring. He wanted to see more of it, he wanted to see the people and meet them and befriend them and pick their brains. He wanted to help.
Marlie was side-eyeing him, half-amused by his incessant cheeriness. “What's got the pep in your step?” She asked. “Pep is my middle name, babe.” Said Mac, flashing her a grin and two thumbs up. The brunette gave him an appalled look and said, “Dear God Mackenzie, do your parents hate you?” It rolled off of his shoulders, just like everything else did. Mac laughed, “You wanna play that card, Marlowe?" She didn't, not really, and so she asked, "You're really that hopeful?" Mac nodded, ever confident. She kind of envied the dreamer in him, and wished that she could be anything other than weary. An excitable sort of weary, but still weary. “And when they rob us blind then turn us over to their vengeful parents, who have spent decades plotting their revenge? What then?" She wondered, genuinely curious to hear his answer. "They won't." Of course - so simple, so Mac. "So pretty. Such an idiot.” Said Marlie with a soft sigh and a shake of her head.
Mac responded by throwing an arm over the girl’s shoulder and pulling her in close, causing her to stumble slightly. “Optimism, Marlie,” He swept his hand out in front of her as if plastering his thoughts in the air, willing her to see his vision. "We're fighting the good fight here." That might be true, but she wasn't naive enough to think that the 'good fight' wasn't without its casualties. "Royal. Mass. Murder." Retorted Marlie, throwing her hands up in two L's, as if looking through a camera lens. "You're hopeless!" Cried Mac as he dropped his arm, genuinely a little bit distressed. He fished the head of a pale pink peony - one of many - out of his jacket pocket and secured it just above her left ear. "If you can't be peppy, I'll settle for pretty." She didn't know whether to be offended or flattered, and so Marlie rolled her eyes and linked her arm with the Charming boy's urging him forward. When they came to a stop in front of the huge fork-adorned building, Mac was more than willing to be the first one through the doors. "Nuh uh." Said Marlie, yanking him back to her side. The last thing they needed was Mac leading any sort of expedition. It was like leading the lambs to slaughter. And so he pouted slightly as he shuffled in behind the rest of the group, straining a bit to see over the tops of heads, impatient to dive head-first into Isle life.

Dinner Party Collie, Homie, Maggie, Akram, Kassi
Collie wanted to point out that the transfers couldn't be all that bright -- they were a bunch of high schoolers that decided they could take on an island full of convicted criminals. In fact, she was about to say as much, since she figured it'd be a good metric for how naive they actually were. But almost like she sensed what the boss was about to say, Homie cleared her throat loudly in warning. The transfers were coming close, and the last thing they needed to hear, from the get-go, was that the entire mafia thought they were a bunch of blinking idiots. That would be an absolute disaster. So once the transfers started entering the restaurant, the Comare stepped forward, holding her hand out, the flask already safely back in the inside pocket of her jacket."Billy, Raf, Kassi, Shimmy, it's good to see you again." They had just met yesterday, and the blonde seemed like she was in a bit more sociable of a mood than she had been the day before at Hell Hall. Thankfully, she'd remembered their names. Calling them by name, she figured, would be a good show of respect. Instead of "you Auradon morons", which sounded slightly condescending. "The rest of you, it's nice to meet you. I'm glad you showed up." Look at the big bad boss playing nice. "I'm Collie, I'm not sure how much these four talked about yesterday's meeting," She gestured slightly towards Billy and the meeting squad from the day before. "But I head things here, for the most part, in Southwark." Best to get that out of the way.- - - - - - - - Maggie stayed quiet during the encounter, staying close to Billy and Komboa. It wasn't that she thought the little woman was a threat -- she looked more like a child than an actual adult, she thought -- but she didn't trust them, any of them. They could gang up at any second, and they'd be royally screwed.
"It smells really good in here!" Kassi wasn't even exaggerating just to make the Isle kids like her. Her smile was genuine when she looked across the mafia staff. The faint smells of Mexican cooking reminded her slightly of home, and it made her happy.

a n x i e t y Cliff, Montana, Sari, Aria, Eddie and Raf
Montana sat up quickly, nervously moving to lean on a table and look super calm. Sari stayed by his side, doing her best not to laugh at him. They had spent all day planning for this dinner, and there was nothing else the could do now. She turned her attention away from Montana, watching all the transfers filter in together. Due to the fact that she was helping her mother for the last few days, she hadn't heard a lot about the transfers outside of Montana's yelled frustrations. Which, considering he hadn't met any of them himself, were not actually helpful at all. She maintained a bright smile, even though it looked like her boss was trying not to have an panic attack.
As he watched his sister move closer to the transfers, Cliff remained in his seat even though his instincts were screaming at him to he at her side. Bunching up on them was not a good idea, he couldn't be the muscle behind her. As much as he wanted to be a protective brother, he couldn't, not when this was a friendly meeting. So, instead, he made his own judgments about the kids entering. Some of them looked fun, he had to admit, even if they were mostly being shy and quiet. He understood himself, since he wouldn't have talked before Collie did. This was her thing, and they were probably waiting for the princess to give a greeting herself.
Or not, Cliff thought, amused when one of the transfers who was most definitely not a Bete, spoke up.
Aria shoved Montana's shoulder, who was frozen after hearing Kassi's words. "Thank you," He spoke quietly, but sincerely. All of the tension in his body faded away, and a light smile appeared. Sari looked up at her coworker with a smirk, one that the blonde returned. Both of them knew that there was going to be a long meeting of the two just roasting Montana after this was all over. They had to, considering one comment made his panic disappear. He was an idiot. If it wouldn't be rude, they would be laughing about it now.
"Wait. we get taco nights?" Raf yelled, looking from Collie to the others and around the restaurant. The young man was practically bouncing in place when he turned to his friend and said, thankfully in at a normal volume, "We get taco nights! Up top!" He held his hands out for a double high five. Eddie sighed, but slapped one lightly, knowing that Raf wouldn't stop until he got what he wanted. Still, he was worried now. Raf was loud and energetic, and yelling in front of a bunch of abused kids was a horrible idea.
Eddie looked over the others, and the first face he found was noticeably started from Raf's noise. Dread filled Eddie's chest and he put a hand on Raf's shoulder with a tight grip to stop him from jumping around or wandering off. He needed to remember to apologize to everyone later, transfers and Isle kids. Raf could be a lot, and he was Eddie's responsibility. At least Collie had already met him, though this had to be much different from being lead around by the person who had the biggest grudge against his family. There was no way that this was the Raf they had met yesterday.
To the leader in front of him, Eddie smiled lightly and mouthed the words I'm sorry without much prompting, because Raf wasn't going to stop. In fact, he had already tried pulling at the hand Eddie had on him, wanting to explore the restaurant. Everyone looked so cool, he wasn't sure how he was supposed to just ignore it. Instead of continuing his bad behavior, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small stress ball to focus his attention on. Once Eddie saw this, he relaxed his grip on Raf. Unfortunately, the second he did that, Raf was off and exploring the place around him. Everything looked so cool. He weaved through tables, doing his best not to stare at anyone too long. He was just excited.

Ulrik Dagfinn Jones Son of Ursula and Davy Jones
Ulrik wiped some sweat from his forehead as he swung another piece of wood over his shoulder. He grunted softly as he felt a sharp chunk pierce his skin, but he didn't stop and complain. Complaining would get him no where and he didn't exactly have anyone to complain to. Well, there was Tait. His half brother was also his best friend. But he didn't want to bother Tait with anything as simple as the fact that his shoulder hurt. And that was solely his fault for carrying all of this wood around anyway.
He reached his home - a little place that Ulrik had set up himself - and grunted as he tossed the wood to the ground. From here, he could see a bit of the Crew's ship. Ian was a good captain and Ulrik had no issue admitting that. He didn't have much of a problem with Fern or Collie either, but the boy wasn't much of a "gang" kinda guy. His loyalty was to Tait and Mori and Tien and Ursula and Davy Jones and the Mad Hatter. His loyalty was too himself mostly, but his people were high up on that list as well. Besides that, there weren't many people that Ulrik had built deep and meaningful relationships with.
He was satisfied living on his own, but that didn't mean that he didn't get lonely sometimes. This is one of the times that he could feel a cold blade of loneliness stabbing his heart. He could head into town, he realized. Maybe stop at the Big Fork for something to eat. The Slim kids knew how to run a restaurant, that was for sure. Deciding that was a good idea, Ulrik took his shirt off to grab one that was slightly less disgusting. At least, one that wasn't drenched in sweat. He ran his fingers through his hair and started off in the direction of the Big Fork. As he was nearing it, he spotted a group of people that he had never seen before.
"What the heck?" he muttered. They were heading towards Ulrik's destination, and the boy wasn't sure he wanted to face such a large group of new people. Scratching at his chin, he turned away from the restaurant. Now where could he go to find some good company for a bit?
Well, he knew a lot of people in the coven. Most of his family was there... To be fair, that was most of the people he knew. There was also Kiko and Fern. They were unrelated to him, but people that he liked. That was the better than nothing. Looking back at the large group of people and shook his head before heading to Coven territory.

Erchanhardt Hobart Grimhilde Son of the Evil Queen & Huntsman
Ernie beamed as his siblings all accepted and even seemed to enjoy the aprons he gave them. He hadn't been sure if they would. They were pretty much just old aprons he found in the garbage and cleaned up. He didn't know how to sew either, so any rips or issues had been fixed with glue and the drawings were done with a thick black marker. He'd put a lot of thought into each person's symbol. His fellow triplets got a duck and a deer because of their familiars. Hardy and Emmett had gotten a maze and a pie due to their interests.
"Yeah. It is super cool, Ernie. Thanks," Hardy admitted with a somewhat nervous smile. The middle Grimhilde wasn't the biggest smiler, but he could manage one for this. At Emmett's look, Hardy nodded and joined the rest of his family in wearing their matching aprons, noticing how Ernie's smile widened to see all of them in their aprons together.
Hey, it was nice of Ernie to do this and Hardy didn't want to ruin family dinner night by not wearing his apron when Emmett, Del, and Ebby all were. While he supported all of his siblings in anything they wanted to do, Ernie related to Emmett and his love for cooking. "I'll cut the carrots!" Ernie said. The oldest Grimhilde dug around for the knife and began to chop. He was only halfway through the first carrot when he nicked his finger a bit. Frowning at the bit of blood, he offered the knife sheepishly towards Del and Ebby. "Maybe one of you should take over..." He was embarrassed that he had cut his finger, but it had already stopped bleeding so he was fine! He'd had much worse injuries than a little cut. He'd hang back for now. He'd already attempted - and failed - to do something, so he wanted his siblings all to have a chance to try something. And it was okay if they failed! That was just part of life.
Well, it was okay for them. Meanwhile, Ernie was just more convinced that he was a failure of a human being. He glared down at his finger - which still hurt - before smiling back at his siblings and hoping they hadn't caught the look of frustration and anger down at his hand. They were fine. They were angels. He was the failure.
Hardy watched his oldest brother, amused. "And i can take over whatever doesn't get chosen," he offered, wanting to let Ebby, Del, and Emmett pick first. He was a fantastic cook - must be in the Grimhilde genes - but he just didn't enjoy it the way that Ernie, Emmett, and Del did.

Dinner Party Pip, Kenny, Clara, Komboa, Hana, Shimmy
It was taking forever and Kenny was burning with nervous excitement. Well, mostly nerves. He didn't know why. It was Montana whose hospitality was being put to the test. He kept one eye on Montana, ready to step in if his fellow triplet needed it. He kept one eye on Aria, knowing she could handle herself, but still wanting to know how she was doing. He kept a third eye on Collie, since she was the boss of it all. And he kept a fourth eye on the door. Unfortunately, his father did not marry a spider. Therefore, Kenny had two eyes. And those two eyes were moving between all four destinations.
When the door opened, he took a step to move behind Montana, even though Aria and Sari seemed to have him under control.
Clara had also moved closer, Kenny noticed. Instead of shadowing her older sister, she had moved closer to the group surrounding Montana. Kenny didn't blame her. This was a weird time and it was nice to find comfort in the people you cared about.
Pip, however, had kept her distance from Montana and his posse and Collie and Red. There wasn't anything wrong with them. She was just... hesitant about the transfers. Still, she supposed that she should be part of the welcoming committee, as she was a capo. "Well, Montana, looks like your food already has a few fans," she commented. The polite girl and... rather excitable boy had both commented on it already.
"Pip," she said, her eyes moving from face to face, though they settled on the boy that was ready for taco nights as he moved through the restaurant.
Shimmy liked Kassi and Raf, but the small boy found himself internally pouting that he hadn't been the first one to speak. He had wanted to make a grand introduction. Even if he acknowledged that that job should fall onto Billy or Maggie or Komboa instead of him. He was a nothing.
He grinned. "Dude, I'm just ready for food." He looked at the group around them, recognizing Collie. She was one of the people they had met already! Along with Ian and Fern, though he didn't see Ian and Fern around here. A shame. Ian was a pirate and pirates were cool. Maybe he could talk to Hono later on about seeing if there was anyway to get like a pirate themed race track added to the game. They could be candy pirates! It was cool! He was cool! Just imagine a caramel apple themed candy pirate that was absolutely dominating everyone else. Maybe he'd even try to talk to Ian or his people to find out what it was like to be a real pirate, and then just add candy to it.
Oh gosh. Okay. Oh gosh. Okay. This was already turning into a disaster. Was he sweating? Komboa was sure he was sweating. Oh no. This was a disaster and it was all his fault somehow. Maybe he should've like... made an announcement that he or Billy or Maggie was going to talk first. But wouldn't Billy have done that if she wanted to talk first? Was he supposed to talk first? Well, Collie had talked first. And then Kassi. And then that one guy. Oh no. He didn't know the guy's name. He had to learn all of their names. He didn't want to seem rude. He liked to think that he and his cousins had decent manners. And then Raf spoke. And then that girl. And then Shimmy. Oh no. Everyone was speaking.
Clearing his throat, Komboa took a step forward. His breathing was quick, but he forced a smile and held out a hand to Collie. "H-" His words caught in his throat and he suddenly felt like he was choking. "Can I have water?" The words fell out of his mouth and he felt his face heating up. Wow, he was turning this into even more of a disaster. He cleared his throat again. "Sorry. I just, ah, I, uh, meant to say that my name is Koomba-" Oh no. "Komboa and this is a very nice place you have here." He corrected his pronunciation and then aimed the compliment at the boy who had thanked Kassi. The rest of his sentence came out rushed and squeaky, but it was better than nothing.
Then he stepped back, trying to shelter behind Billy and Maggie.
He just made everything worse.
"And I'm Hana!" Hana said, deciding she would try to get any focus off of Komboa before the lion got too upset.

Charleston Finley Cat Son of Cheshire Cat and Felicia
Chase just shrugged. He would always share with Sofia and Concord. They were family, and he would do anything for them. He saw how some of the other families operated, especially the big ones. The Slims were loud and always seemed to be having fun. He had just seen how the Grimhildes liked to spend their nights. Though he still couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness and... maybe even jealousy? His family was so much smaller, and Sofia was extremely busy. They never got to sit down and have a huge dinner they all cooked together. He was glad that Ebby accepted his request to be a little brother. Ebby was a good guy. Chase would go find him tomorrow and maybe see if he wanted to hang out.
Ebby was a good influence on him, as much as Chase admitted. The Grimhilde boy made scamming him boring! So Chase was reduced to just doing normal sibling stuff, that did not include getting money or food in dishonest ways.
When Ian mentioned shadowing him, Chase forgot about Ebby and perked up. He'd much rather shadow Ian than Mair or Farris. No offense to Farris or Mair. But Chase's goal was leader. He was willing to work his way up through lower ranks, but he needed an insider's look if he ever hoped to do that. "I'm not a kid, Ian. I didn't plan on talking to the other leaders," he said. He knew that shadowing Ian especially would be a very important and adultlike responsibility.
But he forgot all about that when they entered the shop. He left Hook and Blackbeard alone for now. As much as he'd like to see if they had anything of interest on them, he and Ian were here with a mission - figure out what he would be having for dinner tonight. He grinned and took the can opener from Ian. He didn't want to open it until he was somewhere safe. Walking around with open food was just asking to get harassed or robbed.

Adrian "Ian" Salazar son of captain armando salazar
"You're not a kid," Ian agreed without hesitation. He didn't fully agree with the statement, since Chase was only sixteen, but he wasn't a kid. Chase was smart, too. There was a reason the concat didn't get in trouble with those he stole from. Most of the time, at least. "But even adults make mistakes, Chase. I'm not perfect, neither are any of the other leaders." Everyone had caused pain and suffering while taking over their respected cities. Well, probably not Fern, but he couldn't trust people who were that nice. He was pretty sure that Fern was hiding a dead body some where. Not a sole in existence was that nice. Everyone had dark sides, it was a part of life. Fern had a very distinct reputation that she had to keep up. Even if she had killed someone, the murder would be covered up better than the secrets of the barrier.
With everything happening around them, Ian wanted to make sure that they were good before leaving. He threw a look at Hook, who just waved him out. The captain smirked, because there was no way anyone was going to fight him with Blackbeard in the room. With one of the deadliest pirates on his side, the idiot who had spent his time trying to anger a small ginger child was the least of his worries. "Come on, Cat, let's go." He walked out the shop and continued on his way through town. He was planning on going the rest of the patrol through the town when he realized that the teenager with him was probably hungry. He looked around, and realized there wasn't anywhere really safe for him to stop or hide the food. Sure, Ian could provide protection, but neither of them really wanted to handle an attack right now.
So, he decided to give the teenager his options. "I've gotta continue through town, honestly, but if you want to go eat, feel free." He tried to give Chase a reassuring smile, because he meant his words. He remembered what to was like, to be a starving teenager on his own. Chase was lucky, really. Not to the point of others, the transfers who showed up here with their fancy words and full stomachs, but it was better. Chase had a family who loved him, and Chase had him, the Crew, Tortuga as a safer place. "You can shadow me any day you'd like, it doesn't have to be right now." Nothing was more important to him than the health and safety of his people. Chase was his people. If the cat needed to eat, Ian wouldn't stop him just because he said that he would patrol.

Mix
isabeau, billy, alicio, silver Every step closer to the door was an extra nerve getting higher strung inside Billy. It was unreasonable and she was trying to focus on the fact that surely this wasn't all going to go downhill. This would be in terrible taste to be some kind of trap on the mafia's part. It was the second day they were here but honestly? Billy would understand mass murder based off of everyone who came. Poisoning the food, stabbing the transfers, any kind of death really would make sense. It just didn't make sense to yet. Unless they had really got off on that bad of a start. But they had invited them before really meeting most of them. From what Billy had gathered, only a few members of this group of people had met any of the transfers. Maggie and her group of yesterday were approached off the bat and invited, there wasn't much conversation. That also happened far before Billy even managed to meet Collie. So therefore, it really, really wouldn't make sense to suddenly kill all the transfers off and Billy just had to focus on that. And not on the absolute embarrassment the transfers somehow managed to make of themselves.Billy was going to constantly question the integrity everyone had. Where was the shame? The self preservation? There was genuinely no way she was the only the one who had it. Well, she'd like to think Alicio shared the trait with her.Not much was to be thought upon further as they properly got to the entrance, Collie waiting there. Now, Billy had planned to give a greeting in return. And was instead left screaming inwardly. If it wasn't for Kassi's sweet, but poorly placed comment, then it was Raf.Why.
It required too much effort not to start massaging her temples then and there. She closed her eyes in pain though, because she had to do something to attempt to keep down her absolute- gosh, she didn't even know what emotion she was feeling. It was the emotion that made one want to screech into a pillow or slam their head against a wall multiple times. She took in a breath and flashed Collie a smile with a lot of pain in her eyes and was ever so grateful to see that Eddie was at least somewhat on the same wavelength as Billy and, too, was inwardly apologizing for Raf's behaviour.Who knows, perhaps Billy would have outwardly spoke her embarrassment aloud and given a sincere apology for having no control over the transfers...Had not someone else chose to speak up.Now, Billy wanted to say she didn't have anything against Komboa. She really did. But he had some... anxieties that just did not work out well for the position he was in. Unfortunately, this just made it extremely obvious. And it just hurt to listen to. It was bad enough Billy had embarrassment for the transfers themselves, the second-hand embarrassment made it so much worse.Another deep breath. Billy attempted to keep up the smile. "It's good to see you again as well, Collie."-- Silver had to say, this was going swimmingly. No, no, it was obviously stressing some people out and others seemed to not care, but Silver did find it pretty hilarious. He was now hanging around the back of the group, ever so slightly trying to listen to what was going on more upfront and hoo boy, was he glad he was trying. It was easy to recognize how much Billy seemed to hate was going on, but she pushed on pretty well. Silver held back a laugh, though not the snort that came through in place of it, as Billy continued to speak. "What I'm sure they all meant to say was we are thankful for the invitation." On one hand, one could argue Billy was not best suited for the role of leader. She was obviously not used to it. On the other, though, she fit it perfectly because she sounded like a mom. If only Silver had someone to laugh about that with, but really. It could be argued that out of everyone on this trip, she was going to be the designated 'mom' member and with the wonderfully disguised words of disappointment at everyone who just spoke, Silver would never be able to unsee it. But hey! Silver would like to believe the official, important, watcha might call it introductions were done, and someone had already headed inside, so who was Silver to not ever so nicely and neatly push himself past a couple of people to go off inside as well with ever the slightest hint of acknowledgement to the two leaders standing by the entrance with a grin.

Corinne Hillary Horseman Daughter of Headless Horseman and Camille Leon
Corinne really couldn't believe Collie's nerve. Hosting a dinner for the transfer and all of the Mafia higher ups, but not her? What had happened to them being friends? They'd been so close as children, and now there was nothing there. Not like Collie still felt for Fern. Corinne had no doubt that if Fern was in the Mafia, Collie would have immediate promoted her to replace Richard.
The thought of her boyfriend made Corinne's expression falter. She loved Richard, and he had been cruelly torn from her and Collie and the mafia. Yet, there was just some sort of... bitterness at the way that Collie kept Richard's position open. It was as if she was waiting on him to heal up and come right home to them. But he wouldn't. And it hurt her every time she had to think of his empty spot. At the way his death left a hole that could never be replaced. And Collie's response wasn't making than any easier on Corinne. She loved Richard. She was much happier with him than any other relationship she'd been in and she would give anything to get Richard back.
But she couldn't.
So she had to do the next best thing - remove Collie from her position as the mafia boss. Collie was a friend, but this was what was best. It was best for Collie, for the Mafia, for the de Vils, and mostly for Corinne.
But with Collie and her empty headed higher ups distracted by the transfers, she figured tonight was one of her best chances to seek out one a new follower - under the excuse that she was trying to check on him and bring him back to the Mafia. She did actually want to bring him back.... Just when she was leader and Collie was safely away from the mafia.
Well prepared with her fists and a knife, she headed out into the Outlands. She walked with the confidence of a hunter rather than a hunted, knowing that she would have to show confidence if she wanted him to take her seriously.

Dinner Party Collie, Homie, Maggie, Akram, Kassi
Collie fought the urge to take a shot.
While the mafia boss managed to stay cool and collected during Raf's...outburst...it wouldn't be a lie if someone brought up that the blonde found his energy to be slightly...way too much. A quiet aside glance was thrown to her twin, wondering how well he handled it. At Eddie's apology, though, the blonde gave a light shrug of acceptance. Wasn't like she had a choice, what was she gonna do? Butcher their carefully coordinated plan out of annoyance because one guy was loud?
It was tempting, actually, as the conversation continued.
With everyone talking all at once, Collie decided to make Billy the first priority. Conversation could be overwhelming, but Billy generally seemed to speak for the group.
"Well, we couldn't just ignore you -- being sent to the Isle is bound to be overwhelming, on top of your other circumstances." Collie thought that was low-key enough to start actually getting some information on why the hell they were here. Throw out a few harmless questions, narrow it down from what they answered with. Easy.
"What d'ye mean, "our other circumstances"?" Maggie questioned, raising an eyebrow as she just sort of let Komboa hide behind she and Billy. Poor lad was scared, wasn't he? Regardless, she was a little suspicious of this question, which may have seemed innocent enough if the ginger didn't wonder what "circumstances" Collie was referring to.
"Weren't you all banished here?" The blonde countered, tipping her head slightly to the side curiously as she eyed the group. It was the most basic question she could think of to begin with: were the transfers in or out of Beast's favor?
"We figured y'all were like Tia and Tana." Homie piped up, catching Collie's drift and nodding along with the question. "Big group to send off, though."
Maggie stayed quiet, then, looking to Billy for an answer. Their mission was classified, so how much did they spill?
