Nim just settled there with his mate until he heard noise, noticing yet more servants watching them as they passed. He just stared at them and they went scurrying along.

Dakota sat up, “okay I’ve had enough of that.” He said as he watched them go, “I don’t want to have the whole kingdom knowing about me and you.” He said, though it was likely already going to happen anyways.

Nim laughed gently. "Servants tend to gossip, which spreads like wildfire. We'll probably be the talk of the castle for a time, but hopefully no one does anything." Not that either of them would allow it, especially Nim.

“If Roman tells me to stay away then when I’m in my human form I will have to unless you say otherwise.” Dakota explained, “but I doubt he’d do that.” He then stood, “though if everyone thinks I’m with you as a tiger that does make tonight harder... they’ll think I’m cheating and that’s certainly not good.”

Nim sighed. "Maybe we should just... sleep in our own rooms for now. Or at least make it seem as such." He didn't want to, but he also didn't want to cause Dakota any trouble. "We're not staying here forever though, so there's that."

Dakota nodded, “let’s also keep in mind that this form is just a cover. I can always just hang around as an eagle if I wanted to.” He pointed out. “But I see where you’re coming from.”

Nim nodded a little. "And we can always just port to home once we've retreated to our rooms for the night perhaps." He smiled a little at Dakota.

Dakota glared at the group of servants and maids as they passed by them. He then continued on to find a more secluded spot.

Nim followed after Dakota, just wanting some better privacy. "Hooefully it'll just be a brief talk of the servants, though I doubt they'd approach either of us about it."

“They definitely wouldn’t. I’m sure we’ll be their next biggest thing until something else comes up. Hopefully that thing will be the meeting or something. But who knows.” Dakota said as they walked.

Nim nodded a little in agreement. "As long as they don't bother us about it, I'll be fine. For now I just want to be somewhere more private. Servants taking peeks at us is getting annoying."

Nim tilted his head in curiosity when Dakota mentioned a possible private place. "Oh? And where would that be?" As long as it kept them out of public eye than he didn't mind one bit in all honesty. He never really liked having many eyes on him to be honest.

“My room.” He said, “not like that. I’ve gotten room upgrades through the years. I have quite the balcony.” He said, “you should come see.”

Nim looked curious. "Alright. To your room it is." As they walked, they of course attracted stares as servants or guards passed, but luckily no talk or giggles followed.

Dakota walked proudly along side his mate until they reached his room. He opened his doors to reveal a nice, large room with large doors that led out to a balcony with its own fountain, “I honestly don’t know how I managed to get this room, but here I am.”

Nim looked around as he walked in, head tilted as he did. "It's a nice room," he said. "The king does think highly of you though, so it's fitting to have given you a higher end room."

Dakota smiled a little, “yes I suppose that’s a valid reason. I’m sorry, I should have invited you here rather than have taken up your space. You’re welcome to come join me tonight.” He said before going to open the balcony doors.

Nim walked to the balcony with Dakota. "I think I'll take you up on that offer," he said, an ear twitching. "I'll have to port here after I retreat to my room though for the night, as not to give the staff any new gossip material."

Dakota looked over to Nim as he shifted and smiled. He then looked up towards the clouds, sighing, “you know, humans can be very persistent. Even without our help they’ve managed to create this fine kingdom. We did do some of this, but not all.”

Nim nodded a little. "The problem is that they will become more greedy over time. And violent. Maybe not now, but it's inevitable because they want to prove themselves to the other species. Hopefully they do not get out of hand."
