After the diseases, Cariboutrot and Mountainshadow double down on their efforts to prevent any further deaths - and just in time too. Soon, Raindust is kitting, and these kits will need all the help they can get. Surprisingly, Raindust gives birth to a large litter with near ease, and all five kits survive.

The group of rogues refuses to leave, still trespassing on their borders. Northstar organize a patrol to attack the group, consisting of Northstar, Fogshadow, Stormcloud, Peakrunner, Bramblepaw, Honeypaw and Wildfrost. While the patrol was larger than the rogues, the rogues put up a fierce battle and claim one of Northstar's eight lives. Fogshadow orders the clan to retreat, carrying an exhausted Northstar back to camp.
Despite beind exhausted, Northstar calls a clan meeting an announces that Bramblepaw and Honeypaw will be named warriors for their fierceness and bravery in the battle against the rogues. Bramblepaw is name Brambleflame, and Honeypaw is named Honeyslip.
Fogshadow and Northstar continue to think of how to get rid of the rogues once and for all, as they prove to be a terrible threat to the clan.

hey ember, i don’t want to sound rude but - could we avoid killing cats in a row? both of your last posts have killed cats, and it’s just a little confusing as to why the rogues would attack kits, who pose no threat, rather than larger enemies if they were able to sneak into camp. again, i don’t mean to sound rude, i just think there’s a lot that can be done without having deaths all the time. ^.^’

One of the rogues comes to camp, with two young cats at her side. After the chaos dies down, she asks to speak to Northstar. She informs the young leader that she is pregnant, and the two small cats are her kits from a separate litter. She has grown tired of the rogues and their ways, and seeks refuge from them. Northstar allows them to stay for a while, but they must prove their trustworthiness before they will be truly accepted.

I've always loved watching these from afar, so I hope you don't mind if I join in a bit!
After the scents of a fox are noticed on the borders of SummitClan territory, a patrol consisting of Fogshadow, Dapplestorm, Wildfrost and Willow is sent out to deal with the problem. Whilst it is largely uneventful and the animal is successfully chased from our land, Wildfrost comes back with a nasty injury to his hind leg. Leaving him in need of rest and treatment from the medicine cat's for a moon or so, but hopefully will make a quick recovery.
As Nightchaser and Peakrunner’s kits continue to grow, Hillkit seems to take an interest in medicine. Northstar talks to Cariboutrot and Mountainshadow. The elder tom decides it is time for him to retire, as he was okd when he took on Mountainshadow, and Mountainshadow promises Hillkit that he will take him on when he comes of age.[/font]

Cats begin to gossip about Harepaw behind her back, and wonder who her parents are. She gets slightly unnerved by their comments of “filthy rogue”
She decides to take a break for some fresh air, and ends up getting lost in unfamiliar territory. A search patrol is called out by a desperate Nightchaser, but it seems like no one wants to find her. Reluctant, him and Peakrunner go out in the dark night to try and find her.

After some searching, Nightchaser and Peakrunner find Harepaw on a far edge of the borders. They bring her back to camp, where they demand apologies from those who talked about her. She is relatively unharmed, except for a few scratches and hurt feelings.
Meanwhile, Wildfrost is showing signs of a quick recovery, and is doing well in the medicine den.

Nightchaser hears from Harepaw about how the kits react around her. He talks to Stormflower, telling her he doesn't want his and Peakrunners kits around her anymore if she keeps talking poorly about his other daughter. Peakrunner agrees, and they keep the kits away from Nightchasers mother.
Northstar and Fogshadow bring the attention back to the rogues still messing in their territory. Lavender gives information about the leader, letting them know his name is Cinder, and he's the large gray-black tom that's usually hanging back in the group, not attacking, but just watching with a sick smirk.
Northstar comes to the conclusion that they need to break through the group to get to the leader.

It has been a few moons since the skirmishes with the rogues, and tensions are high. Northstar finally decides it is time to take action. She takes every cat able to fight to face the rogues with one goal - take out their leader, and force the others to leave or let them join the clan. They wait until moon-high to attack. It's a vicious battle, one that seems to go on for hours. At the end of it, Cinder lays dead at Northstar's feet - with young Harepaw beside him. It is discovered that she saved Northstar from losing more than one life. The clan discusses with the rogues, and while a good number of them decide to take on the clan lifestyle, a larger number choose to leave. Of the clan cats, three were killed in the battle - Tundraheart, Gingerstem, and Juniperstorm.
To celebrate the victory, Harepaw is given her warrior name, and Raindust's remaining kits become apprentices - while the queen promises to surrogate more for Nightchaser and Peakrunner, since she has come out as aro/ace. She does vow to be more involved in their lives, though.
Of the seven rogues that join the clan, four take on clan names immediately - two warriors, an apprentice, and a queen. The rest choose to wait until they prove themselves to the clan, as they feel guilty, especially for the unnecessary deaths of Cliffkit and Black-kit. Lavender also takes on a clan name.

Stormflower moves from the elders' den into the medicine den - it is revealed that she is sick, and likely will not make it even through the night. She requests to speak to Nightchaser, Peakrunner, Harestep, Oakdapple, and the two toms' litter. When they arrive she explains her apparent hatred for Harestep, and her relationship. Stormflower reveals that as a young warrior, she fell in love with a rogue who had taken up residence just outside one of the borders. He had promised her he'd join the clan and they'd be together, but eventually he ran off with another she-cat. Stormflower still felt hurt and distrustful of loners and rogues, because her only experience with one was one of heartbreak. She apologizes to Harestep and Oakdapple, and they forgive her.
Stormflower passes away that night.

hey necs, i don't mean to sound rude but harestep got pregnant before dapplestorm, so dapplestorm wouldn't have given birth yet ^.^' i'll retcon that and have harestep give birth in just a sec, but for future reference i'll ask that we make sure to pay attention to the order of pregnancies, please everyone ^.^
