(ooo, hm, we could start over with Danny if you want! Like have him find them by accident again!)
Ducky lay sprawled out on the couch. his long white wings cascading onto the floor like a feathery pool. Ducky held a wrinkled and yellowing magazine close to his face, his pale blue eyes narrowed into slits as he tried to read the faded letters. Ducky peeked over the wrinkled pages as Mira walked past him. He placed the magazine onto the coffee table and pulled himself to his feet and followed Mira out of the cabin. "Hey Mira, how did you sleep?" He asked softly.
Jib entered the living room from the kitchen, a scowl was printed across her face as she flopped down onto the couch. The house need to get some food soon, they where getting a bit low. Jib sighed softly and looke dover to Sunny. "What cha drawing?" She asked.

(Okay, let me know if you have any ideas on how you'd want to reintroduce him, we can do a different scenario so we're not just repeating the same as last time haha)
Mira turned as Ducky came outside and joined her in front of the cabin, arms still raised in a stretch. "Good morning. I slept fine, thanks," she replied with a smile. "How about you? I hope Luke didn't keep you up all night." Her brother was a notorious for staying up late, and wasn't always the quietest person to share a room with as a result.
Sunny looked up briefly as Jib joined her in the main room, offering her a small, slightly shy smile. She turned the page for Jib to see. "Zebras. They're my favorite," she replied. Covering the pages were crude, scribbled doodled of horses with penned-in stripes, though the blue pen didn't lend itself much to capturing the black-and-white animal's likeness.

Ducky chuckled softly and leaned against the cabin. "He went to bed at a pretty normal time last night surprisingly." Ducky paused. "Or i slept through his escapades." Ducky smiled. Ducky was a pretty deep sleeper some nights while others he stayed up late with Luke and chatted. Ducky pushed himself off of the cabin. "We are getting kind of low on food." He said softly.
Jib looked over the drawings carefully. "These are really good." she said cheerfully. Jib had never seen a zebra before, and the crude drawings really didn't help jib. But she knew art when she saw it. "What else do you have in there?" She asked softly.

Mira let her arms fall to her sides. "That so? Maybe he's finally learning how to keep a normal sleep schedule," she snorts, lips quirking into a small, amused smile. At his comment about their low food supply, she hums thoughtfully. "It has been a while since any of us have made a supply run," she agrees with a sigh. "Let's see, today is... a Tuesday, if I remember correctly?" It's phrased with an air of uncertainty. Without a dedicated schedule or real way to tell the time, she's forced to keep track of the days by memory. "If that's the case, Westwood should be pretty empty this afternoon. It could be a good time to pick up a few things." Though their supply of money was pretty meager, she could always find a way to swipe the essentials from under the noses of teenage cashiers who couldn't be bothered to call her out for stealing.
Sunny brightened a bit as Jib inquired about her drawings, setting aside her pen and flipping the notebook back a page. "This one is me!" she says enthusiastically, pointing one of her small fingers at a crude drawing of a person. The drawing had squiggly lines of wavy hair and sticks for limbs, as well as a pair of wings protruding from its back. They didn't bear much of a resemblance to Sunny's real wings, bright blue and nearly the size of her own body, but the doodle was recognizable nonetheless. "It's fun to draw to pass the time, even though it can be hard to find pencils and paper sometimes." She gazed up at Jib with baby blue eyes. "Do you want to draw something too?" she asked.

Ducky nodded softly. It should be pretty dead by noon, the kids where at school and the adults where at their jobs. A thought suddenly came to Ducky. "Could i come this time?" He asked softly. Ducky was aware he may stick out like a sore thumb with his white hair and all but maybe he could wear a hat. "Jib could watch Sunny while we are away and i can help carry stuff." He added.
Jib smiled at Sunny's enthusiasm. "That looks just like you." Jib playfully glanced from the drawing to Sunny a could times. "Its almost like looking into a mirror." Jib chuckled softly. "I have never drawn before and i dont want to use up your pen."

Mira considered this proposition for a moment, then nodded her head. "Sure, I could use the extra hands," she agreed. "With Luke and Jib watching the house, it should be alright. Besides, it all goes well, we won't be long." Heading back toward the house's door, she waved for Ducky to follow her. "Aside from food, we should try to pick up some new clothes as well," she thought aloud. "It's going to start getting cold soon, so warm coats and good shoes are a must. I now for a fact that Luke's shoes have holes in the heels of them, and Sunny's old coat probably doesn't fit her anymore."
"Never?" Sunny echoed in amazement. Being as young as she was and relatively sheltered after escaping the School, her naivety was on full display. "Well, now I really want you to try! I can find another pen somewhere. People are always losing the cheap ones, so they end up on the street or sidewalk or something." Realizing she was perhaps being a bit pushy, she backpedaled a bit. "I mean, you don't have to if you don't want to. You can just look at my pictures if that's better."

( Sooo here's the first boy. Ah he's a twat. Both to write and in general I've always thought it'd make more sense for the kids to have more avian features- so that's my take on that! I know some birds can fly without tails, but it makes them much less aerodynamic and that's something that predators need~ So both of my boys will have tails- if that's okay!- Also waiting on the okay in case you want me to change some things~) (As far as plumage goes, Here's owl Rami! ) |

( Thanks! Don't worry, that's on purpose! Rami can hide his eyes with dark sunglasses and fold his ears into his hair while wearing a hat so that he can claim to have a serious & mysterious illness- but it isn't always the perfect disguise. It's actually a sticking point and source of resentment for them, as it means they can never really be part of normal society. I'm not good at slice-of-life so I have to make my own ~drama~ my second boy is less conspicuous, however! And they can both hide their tails in their wings when on the ground~ Also! I was thinking of introducing them to the flock rather than already be a part of it? But if that'll mess up your flow then Rami can already be the deadbeat wine aunt~ )

( Yep! They're a package deal- for better or worse~ I hope his dual abilities are okay? They're connected- Harpy Eagles are speculated to be strong enough to kill or seriously injure a human and have talons that can rival a bear's claws. I spent quite a bit of time on ~ 👓research ~ ) ( Yeah, that's a good point! I tend to default to making my characters new because I'm unsure how relationships will develop, but I reckon it doesn't matter when I'm not dealing with a full cast.. They can just be part of the Flock but relatively new then~ I already established how they'd behave anyway ^^ ) ( Birdie Sev ) |

Kids always leave coats and things on the play ground after school." Ducky paused. "Oh! there also might be a chance we could find pencils and paper there." he added. Ducky followed Mira into the cabin, his wings ruffled up with both excitement and nervousness for the trip to Westwood. Nothing had ever gone wrong on the trips to town but ducky was naturally nervous. "I would love to try! Maybe you could teach me some." Jib reached into her pocket and pulled out a very small golf pencil. Long ago her sister had stolen it from the labs ages ago. Jib didn't want to use up Sunny's dwindling supplies of pens and pencils. "I have my lucky pencil." Jib showed Sunny the small and worn yellow pencil, it was no bigger than her thumb. "what should we draw first?" |

(No problem! As you can see I will also poof occasionally when school/work gets very busy)
Mira thought on this suggestion for a moment, then nodded her head in approval. "That's a great idea. We can stop by the elementary school on our way back and look for stuff that was left behind." Opening up the coat closet in the main room, she pulled out her own long coat and handed a sweatshirt over to Ducky. "Go ahead and put this one, and we can get going."
Sunny grinned, pleased that Jib had agreed to draw with her. "Woah, it's so little!" she giggled as she looked at Jib's tiny pencil. "Hmm, let's draw... penguins!" she decided, picking out the first animal that came to her mind. "They're round, and they have little triangle wings, except they can't fly."
