Jib froze when Parker spoke to her, for some reason she just hoped he would just walk into the cabin. "Yeah, umm the others are in the cabin you can just go right in there" Jib said quietly. Jib nervously ruffled her wings, she wondered if she should follow this boy into the cabin she was getting lonely up on the cabin roof and if this boy was bad news she could help her new friends to fight him or something. With one last thought Jib got to her feet and leaped gracefully onto the ground.

Aisling smiled at Ducky. "No this is fine with me, thank you." She turned back to Luke. "Well, just means it gets to be used till it falls apart completely. It may not be much, but it is something."

(Hey sorry for being so off and on lately, I'm struggling with school and a general lack of motivation to do literally anything but I'm going to try to at least be on my own threads regularly for now!)
Luke chuckled, nodding his agreement. "Hopefully we'll be able to use it for a while longer, it would suck to have to move now," he commented, ignorant of the way Sunny fidgeted in response to his words.
Parker hesitated at Jib's invitation to just walk right in; wouldn't that just cause a scene? He couldn't think of anything else to do, though, so he headed toward the door. "Er, should I like, announce that I'm coming in? It feels weird to just barge in..."

(I get it, take your time getting back to us. As long as you pop on to say you are still alive that's all that really matters, hehe)
Aisling nodded. "Let's hope none of you need to rush out of here for any reason." She glanced over to the door catching sight of a shadow outside. "There's someone out there." She whispered to no one in particular. Her posture changed to a more rigged and tense defensive stance.

Understanding Parkers hesitation Jib swiftly made her way to solid ground. "I can walk in first if you want me to." Jib said quietly. Her wings were still tense as she didn't quite trust this boy yet. But it was like he was told the cabin was here, maybe by Like or the new girl.

Luke hummed thoughtfully at Aisling's comment, looking toward the door with a front, then stood up. "Oh! It's probably Jib, she likes to hang out outside," he realized, seeing as she was the only absent member of the Flock. He walked over to the door and pulled it open without hesitation, freezing when the first person he saw was not, in fact, his Flockmate, but Parker. "You came!" He exclaimed with a broad grin. "Aisling, look who it is!"
Parker opened his mouth to reply but was startled by the door suddenly swinging open, letting out a sigh when he saw it was only Luke. "Christ, dude, you scared the feathers off me," he accused, crossing his arms instinctively. At the mention of Aisling, he glanced up, spotting her through the open door and feeling suddenly nervous. She was bound to still be angry, and he wasn't really expecting a warm reception from anyone besides maybe Luke.

Aisling's tense posture fell once her gaze met Parker standing in the open door. "Well, you decided to come on over. Glad you changed your mind." She gave him a small smile and the slightest nod of her head. "Luke, don't just stand in the way, let them come in."

Ducky watched the newcomer curiously from his spot on the floor. He had not expected this Parker dude to be there Jib yes but not a random person. Ducky took a bite of his sandwich.
Jib was about to open the door when Luke opened it first, startling Jib so much he leaped back and used her abilitie to disappear.

Mira sat up in surprise as Luke opened the door, but he seemed familiar with the new person, so she held back for now. "It's gonna get crowded in here," she murmured to herself, s******ing over to make room on the couch.
Luke blinked in surprise when Jib suddenly vanished. "Oops! Sorry, Jib, I didn't mean to startle you," he assured quickly, moving aside so both of them could join the group in the main room. "Er, come on in, we're just having a little pow-wow, I guess." That said, he moved toward the back wall, choosing to sit on the floor now to make room on the couch for anyone who might want it.
"Right..." Parker replied uncertainly, catching Aisling's glance. He relaxed a little at seeing that she didn't appear openly cross with him, an odd feeing of relief washing over him that there seemed to be no hard feelings, at least not yet. "Ah, yeah, I uh, I figured it couldn't really hurt," he replied, though he still wasn't really sure exactly why he'd changed his mind. He hovered awkwardly by the door, unsure what to do or say when faced with this many birdkids, this many people in general.

Aisling moved over to make room for Parker and Jib. "Yeah, it really is getting crowded in here." She chuckled softly and relaxed a bit more in the present company of the hybrids. "I don't think I'll stay for much longer. Don't want to take up anymore of your time here seeing as how I met I think all of you here now. And it's going to start getting dark out soon so I should find a place to camp for the night."

Jib sighed softly. "It's alright." She said quietly as she entered the cabin. She quickly felt cramped. She tucked her wings in tight and headed towards the kitchen. She hated crowds.
Ducky started to fiddle with the penny he found the other day.

Luke frowned at Aisling's mention of having to leave, exchanging a glance with Mira. Aisling and Parker weren't like other hybrids they'd met before; they'd been out of the School for a long time, as compared to someone like Jib or Sunny who'd been found by the Flock right away.
Mira spoke up first. "Well, you can always stay here, you know. Even if it's just for the night, it's better than sleeping out in the cold," she offered. "That's what we're here for, after all. Safety in numbers and all that."
Parker shuffled uncomfortably at the suggestion. "Er, I'm not so sure that's a good idea," he replied, though he really didn't have a reason to say so. It wasn't like anyone would be looking for him, and even if they were, they wouldn't come out here.

"I'm used to sleeping in the cold, but safety in numbers is a good thing." Aisling sighed softly after speaking. "If it's alright with you guys I guess I could stay the night." She turned to look at Parker. She gave him a small, forced smile. "If you want to head back to your place you can. The flock is safe here for now, and we have a few good fighters here I hope to defend the place if anything happens."

Parker fidgeted at hearing that Aisling was planning to stay overnight, knowing that he didn't really have a 'place' to return too, either. it wasn't as though he could afford to rent an apartment, not with the meager change he was managing to scrounge up doing odd jobs. It was barely enough to buy food with. "Most likely, nothing will happen anyway," he sighed, as though resigning himself. "This town is pretty small, and more importantly, it's quiet. I don't think anyone'll come knocking at your door who isn't looking for you."
"Why don't you hang around too, then?" Luke prompted, hoping the older man's change of mind would extend beyond just visiting. Even if he didn't plan on staying permanently, he was curious to learn more about the pair of newcomers. Anything he could learn was sure to give him a better understanding of their species as a whole, after all.
Mira glanced at her brother once before looking back to Parker and Aisling. "We can always make space for new friends," she added with a small smile. "It's rare to meet anyone else like us at all, not even taking into account how barren this area is."

Ducky glanced over at Sunny, he wondered when she was going to speak to Mira about the human. Ducky would have done it the minute Mira got home but Sunny was much more shy than Ducky was.

Parker turned his gaze to Aisling, still looking somewhat uncomfortable with his folded arms and standoffish stance, but he softened some at her hopefullness. "Do you think I should?" he asked unexpectedly, but there was an unspoken question there as well. Do you want me to? It was an innocent enough question, but Parker felt uneasy about staying in a house filled with people he'd only just met, even if it was a well-intentioned offer and they understood his situation somewhat.
Sunny caught Ducky's glance, but quickly averted his gaze. The thought had not left her mind that she's need to talk to Mira, but the tow newcomers had thrown a wrench into her plan. Once things had settled down some, she'd bring it up, but until then she was content to keep to herself.

Aisling nodded to Parker. A small, almost unnoticeable smile crossed her face for a split second. "I can sleep outside if it makes room for everyone. The roof seems pretty comfy." She wasn't sure if staying inside while still being new to these guys was a good idea yet.

"We can always make room in the bedrooms, but you're also welcome to stay out here in the main room if you like, sleep on the couch or something," Mira offered, knowing only secondhand it could be quite hard to get used to having other people around you when you were by yourself most of the time. She'd never really been alone, always having Luke with her and then, later, the rest of the Flock, but she'd seen it time and time again whenever someone new decided to join.
Parker rubbed the back of his neck with his hand, glancing away in a slightly embarrassed manner. All of this was so unfamiliar to him, and unfamiliar things were uncomfortable. "Wouldn't sleeping on the roof defeat the purpose of staying here in the first place, though?" he pointed out. "I'l, uh, stay out here, if you don't mind." His voice softened a bit at this, clearly uncomfortable with asking for his own space even after being offered it.

Aisling shrugged. "The roof is still a part of the house." She shuffled a foot and deciding she would sleep inside. "I suppose I should stay inside for the night then."

Jib padded back into the living room. She had taught the tail end of the conversation and was a bit relieved that Aisling had decided to sleep indoors. The roof was Jibs favorite spot. She didn't mind sharing it but at the same time she liked it being her spot. Jib sat down on the floor near the door. She had made herself a small bowl of cereal and quietly munched on it as she listened to the conversation.
Ducky watched as a moth landed on the coffee table he squinted his eyes. He couldn't see it well but he knew it was a moth. Having a undying fear of flying insects he knew a moth were he saw one even with his blurry vision. The feathers along his wings fluffed out as the small white moth crawled along the coffee table.

Mira smiled at this, glad she'd decided to take up the offer. It couldn't be comfortable sleeping outside, after all, nor was it very safe. She stood up, seeing that it was now long dark outside. "In that case, we'll leave this room to whoever wants to use it. You're welcome to join us in the bedrooms, though, if you want. Girls' room is on the left by the kitchen, boys' room is on the right," she explained, jerking a thumb to each room as she named it. "There's a bathroom down the hall, too, if you need it for anything." She turned to slip into the girls' room, pausing for a moment to add, "It was good to meet you two. It's always nice to know we're not the only ones out here." With that said, she ducked into the bedroom, Sunny on her heels.
Sunny flashed Ducky a quiet glance as she trailed after Mira, a silent message that she'd be talking to Mira about her run-in with Danny. She still didn't speak up, though, having kept entirely quiet since she'd managed to introduce herself to Aisling earlier.
Luke stood up to do the same, but paused when he saw Ducky eyeing a moth. "Ah, looks like we've made a new friend," he commented with a grin, leaning down to get a closer look at the insect. "He must've crawled under the door or something and gotten himself stuck. Ducky, will you grab a cup or something? I'll see if I can get him out."
Parker relaxed a bit as most of the group disappeared into their respective rooms, though he was still clearly out of his depth. He glanced at Aisling, wondering what she would decide to do. "Are you going to go with the girls?" he asked, expecting her to follow suit considering how much easier she seemed to be taking all this than he was.

"I still don't know the area very well, and would rather be close to the door in case something happens. If you want, we can both camp out here. I'll take the floor." Aisling spoke softly. She was getting a bit more used to the house and the flock members.

Ducky didnt take his eyes off the moth as Sunny passed him. He had to be ready if the darn thing took flight. Luke's voice snapped Duckys attention from the moth to the young man. "Y-." Ducky couldn't even finsh his sentence when the moth took flight. It wasn't heading towards him but now it was in the air. Ducky got to his feet quickly. "I-I will get you a cup." He stuttered before heading off to the kitchen. He returned with a small plastic cup. The moth had landed on a window.

Parker visibly relaxed at this, thankful to have someone slightly familiar in the general vicinity in case something irrationally dramatic happened. It likely never would, but you could never be sure. "That's alright, I don't mind the floor," he replied, used to sleeping on the ground or, more commonly, in trees.
Luke chuckled as Ducky left in a hurry, but didn't comment. He was familiar with the boy's fear of insects, and knew it would be best to take care of the problem before it got too out of hand. "Thank you," he said in a sing-song voice as he plucked the cup from Ducky's hand, melodramatically tiptoeing across the room as though he could sneak up on the bug.

The moth took to the air again and with a couple flaps of its wings it flew into the boys room. To Duckys dismay. "Welp looks like I'm sleeping in the kitchen tonight." Ducky turned on the heels of his feet and headed off towards the kitchen. "Good night everyone!" He called out as he flopped onto the kitchen table. Jib found this very entertaining. She had just finished her bowl of cereal and got up to put it away.

Parker chuckled at Aisling's stubbron reply, letting his arms fall to his sides as he leaned against the wall with her. "Alright, if you insist, I'll take the couch," he replied, his tone almost teasing for a change and a small but genuine smile on his face. He stayed by the wall for now, though, waiting for Luke and Ducky to finish... catching a moth, apparently. "It's just a bug, y'know. It can't do anything to you," he commented.
Luke tried his best not to laugh as Ducky retreated to the table, not wanting to make light of his obvious fear as he followed the flying creature into the empty bedroom. He managed to trap it beneath the cup as it landed on a bedpost, grinning triumphantly. "Got it!" he called, sliding his hand under the cup so the moth couldn't escape. He walked back out into the kitchen, showing off the cup rather proudly. "Now we can set him free again."

Ducky heard parkers comment about the moth but he said nothing. Ducky truly had no idea why he was so afraid of bugs. He couldn't remember much from the school maybe something happened there? Ducky lay sprawled out on the kitchen table until Luke appeared with the moth in the cup. "I'm still staying out here." He commented. "There could be more."
Jib retreated to the girls room.

Aisling chuckled quietly to herself. "Ducky, moths fly to light. Most bugs do. There is really no reason to be scared of them." She walked to the kitchen and gave him a small, gentle smile while offering her sweatshirt to him to use as a pillow. "Sleep well okay?"
