Danny shrugged. "Ben decided to run off on me and I got lost looking for him." Danny chuckled. "This is like the third time I have gotten lost somewhere because of this dog." Danny glanced over at the sleeping dog.

Danny odder to Sunnys comment on Ben, he was a very excitable dog and it made it hard to do much with him but he was a wonderful dog. "Umm, I have a sister about your age, she's very smart but can be a bit bossy." Danny chuckled softly. "My dad and mom work a lot so sometimes I don't see them until the weekends. But my family probably isn't as cool as yours." Danny looked up at Sunny.

Danny nodded and thought carefully on what to say next. One word had really jumped out at him as Sunny spoke. Situation, it was the way she said it. It sounded like they were maybe in a really bad situation. "What kind of situation are you guys in? Maybe I can help or at least make your guys situation a little better." Danny really didn't know if he could help Sunny and her family, he worked at a grocery store and maybe could at least bring them food and some other random stuff like old Easter baskets that didn't get bought. Ben snorted in his sleep and rolled over.

Parker found himself oddly at a loss for words at Aisling's remarks, sitting down in the cool grass and propping himself up on his hands. Upon meeting the girl, he'd treated her the same way he'd treat any other person, coldly and not so friendly, as this was an easy way to avoid making friends who would nose into his business. The fact that she was a hybrid like himself changed things, just a bit. He'd always kept others at arms length for the sake of hiding his true identity, but with another bird kid, there wasn't much point of trying to hide. The brief thought flashed through his mind that Aisling could be his only chance at having a real friend, but then again, neither of them were planning on sticking around for the long term. Not to mention, he'd never once had a friend in all his twenty years of life, and he wouldn't know where to begin when it came to getting along with others. He sighed, tipping his head back so his blond bangs fell out of his eyes, and noted the scrapes on her hands once more. "You know, if you just leave those there, with all the tree bark and dirt and stuff in them, it could make you really sick," he pointed out. "I keep a little rubbing alcohol with me for stuff like that. I could lend you some if you want, just to be safe." Aisling looked down at Parker and shrugged her shoulders a bit. "I guess a little cleaning wouldn't hurt. Better to have it sting than to get sick from infection." She moved a bit closer to him and joined him in the grass. "Thank you by the way." She smiled a little, letting her shoulders relax from being so tense in a defensive posture. Being with another of her kind, and one who seemed nice enough, definitely made her feel a bit more safe here.

It didn't take long for Mira to catch up to him, and once she did, Kellen slowed down to a more manageable pace, weaving in between the trees, enjoying the challenge of racing through the air and having to dodge all the obstacles in the forest.

Sunny glanced away, looking uncomfortable at the situation. She twisted a strand of blonde hair between her fingers nervously. "Um, I don't think my family would be too happy about that suggestion. Plus, we won't be able to stay much longer now that one of us has been discovered..." She trailed off, not really wanting to say more about the fact that she'd have to abandon this place now, most likely.
Parker reached behind him and moved the satchel slung over his shoulder into his lap; the long shoulder strap allowed him to catty the bag and fly at the same time, which was convenient, though he didn't tend to do much flying when he was close to the city like this. He looked up, eyebrows raised in surprise when she suddenly thanked him. It wasn't like he'd been kind to her. "Uh, sure," he replied awkardly, turning his gaze back down to his bag as he sifted through its contents. He pulled out a packet of small disinfectant towelettes he kept on him in case of emergencies, passing one Aisling's way. "Be careful, it'll probably sting," he warned, knowing the towelettes were alcohol-based.
"So you do have a fun side," Mira said as she caught up, raising an eyebrow almost teasingly at him. "You're so quiet and serious sometimes, it's hard to tell." Of course, she was sure that others could say the same about her, with how cautious and grim she could be sometimes. Maybe the other boys had rubbed off on him.

Danny watched Sunny carefully, "I won't tell anyone your guys secret." He said softly. "If there is one thing Danny J Sweets is good at is keeping secrets and if you want I can leave right now." Danny really didn't want to leave But if it made Sunny feel better he would.

Aisling took the towelette packet from Parker and opened it over her lap. She removed the bigger pieces of bark from her hands before rubbing the wipe over the cuts. It did sting as she cleaned, just like Parker said it would. She hissed as it stung for a few seconds before the initial pain faded. "Glad you are prepared for most things." She shoved the now used packet and towelette into her hoodie packet. "Thanks again for helping me out."

(Just got moved into my new apartment on my college campus and now I'm free to rp for a while longer! I might be moving rooms later on though so if that happens I'll be gone again for a while haha)
Sunny fell silent for a moment, then replied, "I'll... have to talk to Mira about it." She had no doubt the older girl would be quite against it, but maybe she could sway her in the other direction. After all, Danny didn't seem like he was a bad person, and he sounded sincere when he said he wanted to help.
"I don't like to be caught off guard or unprepared," Parker replied, closing up his bag once more. They do come in handy, sometimes." He glanced up from his bag as she thanked him once again, not used to being thanked. "I guess it's the least I can do. I've never met another bird person before, but it's probably good to look out for them when you do meet, right?" He shrugged his shoulders.

Danny nodded. "If you want me to I can talk to her with you." Danny looked over to Ben. "Maybe if we bring Ben he could persuade her with his cuteness." Danny chuckled. Ben could make a cat lover fall for him, he was just cool like that. Even cats tended to like Ben.
(It's fine! Congrats on the whole college thing!)

"I guess it is best to stick with our kind and help them when we meet up." Aisling stuck her hands back in her hoodie pockets and moved to sit on her knees. "It is strange to have run into another of our kind out here, considering I have helped many escape the School's back in Ireland." She looked around and then to the sky. She leaped to her feet gracefully, her hair whipping back and forth from the jump up. "We should probably move just for safety."

Kellen smirked, "Well, flying does always lighten my mood. And it's hard not to have fun with a big pair of wings attached to you, is it not?" he replied, before giving an extra big flap of his wings, and shooting himself faster into the air. By now, they were nearing town, so they would have to land soon, but he wanted to enjoy the last few minutes of that they could fly.

Sunny considered this for a moment. "Hmm, maybe," she conceded, though she gave no definite answer. "Mira's not home right now, but... if you come back to the woods sometimes soon, I can try to bring her here. That way I'll have time to explain what happened." She looked regretful at this; being spotted was probably her biggest blunder to date. She was typically much more careful.
Parker nodded his agreement, pushing himself to his feet alongside Aisling and adjusting his sweatshirt to make sure his wings didn't poke out. Although he typically wore shirts that had slits or space for his wings just in case he needed to make a swift getaway, he would retract them in as much as he could manage when he needed to go anywhere. If he wasn't careful, the ends of his feathers might poke out the bottom. "If we head deeper into the forest, we'll be less likely to run into anyone," he suggested, slinging his bag back over his shoulder as he started to walk.
Mira simply hummed in response, though she didn't seem like she agreed. She'd never really seen her wings as a blessing, but as more of a burden, though she didn't voice this sentiment now. She simply beat her wings to keep up with Kellen, slowing once she could see the town closing in. "Let's land and walk from here," she called to Kellen, taking a quick dive downward and back into the trees. She landed lightly on her feet, obviously quite practiced in her diving landing, and pulled her coat on over her shoulders so they covered her wings and the tailored tank top she was wearing.

Danny nodded softly. "I can come back in two days if you meet too, around this time." Danny got to his feet, Ben also doing so. His tail wagging happily as his owner was finally doing something interesting. "It was nice meeting you Sunny."

Aisling nodded and followed Parker. "Deeper in would provide more cover for us." She pulled her hoodie over her head to hide her wings better. Normally she would keep the jacket open if she was alone, but when traveling she kept it closed and close as well as pulling her wings tight to her body. Nost of the time she traveled on foot her wings would cramp up from how tight they were pressed to her back.

Sunny nodded at this, swallowing back her nervousness over the whole situation for a moment. She didn't wave or give any indication that she was looking forward to seeing him again, though she did turn her bright blue gaze to Ben as she was getting ready to leave. A small smile came to her face at the sight of the excitable dog, maybe the first real smile she'd put on in front of Danny. "Alright, two days, then," she agreed, turning back in the direction of the cabin. "See you then." With this said, she turned and ducked into the trees, disappearing from sight.
Parker fell silent as he walked through the woods, heading along a familiar trail he'd walked a few times before. "There's a lake somewhere in the middle of the forest," he explained as he walked, realizing he should probably share his destination before he just walked off and expected Aisling to follow. "People go there sometimes to rise their boats or something, but most of the time the banks are pretty bare. It's a good place to just hand around." He glanced through the trees, spotting the clear water of the lake in the distance. He pointed a finger at it, adding, "There it is, you can see it from here."

Danny nodded and watched as Sunny left. He turned his attention to Ben. "I think she likes you more than me...understandable." Danny chuckled and patted Ben before starting his long track back to his house. He was exited to see Sunny again and maybe meet her family. Danny picked up at stick and threw it so Ben could chase it. Ben never really got the hang of fetch but he was always happy to chase a stick.

Aisling looked to where Parker was pointing. She saw the lake he was referring to and smiled. "Wow, it looks so beautiful from here. Do you ever just fly over it in the moonlight?" She wondered. Part of her wanted to take off running and leap into the air, to feel the wind on her face as she glided over the calm lake, but she knew better than that. "If there is nobody there do you want to maybe fly around for a little while?"

Ducky had wondered of from the spot he was sitting in and was now sitting on the couch poking at some of the old magazines. He couldn't read them very well but they had some nice bright pictures. Ducky glanced up when Sunny entered, he could only really make out her blurry shape but he could tell she was tense. "You alright Sunny?" He questioned softly, he had never seen her this tense in a while.
Jib had wondered into the kitchen to get her self something to eat.

Aisling nodded some. "I get it. The only reason I fly so often is so my wings don't get too cramped." She looked around to check again to see if there was anyone in sight of the lake before she unzipped her hoodie and took it off to free her wings from hiding. She then tied the jacket around her waist and spread her dark feathered wings out to their full length. "Ah, much better." She backed up a few steps and took a running start towards the lake, her wings flapping and getting her off the ground just before she touched the water.

"Um, I'm fine," Sunny replied, voice so quiet it was almost a whisper. Sometime between Sunny leaving and returning Luke had also left the room, presumeably to tinker with some project in the boys' room. "I mean, I'm not fine, I'm just... worried." She swallowed, walking over to the couch and sitting down on the floor in front of it so she could lean against it with her legs curled up to her chest. "I saw a human today. And, uh, he saw me, too," she admitted after a moment of silence, fearful of what the response might be to her slip-up.
"Hey, wait-!" Parker attempted, but Aisling was already gone, flying out over the lake's surface. "Would you think for a second? What if someone comes out and sees you?" he called, not in any hurry to reveal his own hybrid nature to any potential eyes that could be watching him. There might not be anyone for now, but you never knew when some kid would waltz out of the woods.

Ducky tensed. "W-what?" Ducky looked around the small living room, they where the only people in the small room. Ducky quickly gathered his thoughts. "What happened?Did they try to hurt you? Did he say anything to you?" Ducky could feel his wings fluff up with fear. What if this human came back with other humans? They would have to move and he liked the cabin it was small and cozy.

Aisling circled back to the shore where Parker was. "Relax, I won't actively try to get us discovered. It's just a quick glide over the surface and back, then I'll be done and return to 'normal human' disguise." She gave her most relaxed smile she could while keeping an eye out for any on coming humans. "If anyone should come I can always dive into the water and swim back to shore after hiding."

(𝐸𝓁𝑜𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒟𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓇 You there? o: If you're not planning on continuing the scene with Kellen and Mira I may have to teleport her back since some plot stuff is happening that may require her later on.)
Sunny winced at Ducky's concern, but it was justified. Mira had warned them countless times about the dangers of letting a human see their wings. She fiddled with a lock of her blonde hair and glanced down at her shoes, shaking her head no in response to his questions. "He wanted to know where I came from, and what I was doing way out here... he seemed concerned. I promise I didn't tell him anything about where we lived or anything!" She was starting to sound increasingly distressed as she spoke, unsure of what the outcome of this conversation might be.
Parker just sighed in defeat; clearly his words weren't going to change Aisling's mind. As he watched her, though, he could feel his own wings beginning to cramp up and become sore from being stuck to his back for so long. He let his eyes trail along the shore, searching for any humans that might be wandering around and, finding none, he let out a breath and slipped his sweatshirt off once more. He relaxed a bit as he was allowed to stretch out his own wings a bit, feeling the muscles within them stretch.

Aisling smiled as she flew over the lake's water. She turned up and did a small little loop, spotting Parker stretching his own wings out her smile grew. "Come on, I promise we won't be caught if we are careful about it." She wasn't purposefully out to get them spotted by humans.

Parker's immediate response to Aisling's request was, of course, to refuse, but, well, it did look fun, and he was kind of itching for a flight, for a change. He cast another paranoid glance around the lake's perimeter, but it was the same as it had been seconds before. He let out a breath, still firmly seated on the bank. "I dunno... it feels like it might be a bad idea," he replied uncertainly.
