Drake smiled and nodded, looking around at everyone in the room. "Well said, my love. We can weather this storm, just as we did the rest."
Arcane woofed happily and hopped to his paws, nodding excitedly. "That's a great idea!" He barked.

As they came to town, Alekar and Sizarla landed and the dragon shrunk down to her miniature size and contentedly rode on Alekar's shoulders while they walked into town. This way they didn't cause mass hysteria from giant dragons coming to town.

Mysha smiled at Drake, nodding. As the meeting went on, there were suggestions to track the dragon or even kill it. Everything was being considered to try and prevent any other conflicts.
Quetzal got up, leading the way through the busy path. Glancing over at him, she woofed happily as she said "It's nice to just be out and about with you."

Raiden also shrank in size, trotting beside Laugai as they made their way into the city. People looked at them occasionally as they passed, mostly wary. Laugai just went about his business saying to Alekar "Let's see if we can find some people to talk to." Ones who didn't look wary of them anyway.

Drake listened as different people and officials offered their opinions, trying to take everything they said in mind. They certainly had to make a wise decision, and rushing to a conclusion was the easiest way to certain failure. His hand tightened around Mysha’s a little bit out of protectiveness.
Arcane felt his pelt warm and he dipped his head awkwardly. “I-it’s nice being able to be out with you, Quetzal...” he barked lightly.

Alekar nodded in agreement and looked around for anyone that seemed approachable. “That’s a good idea.” He replied as they continued walking. Occasionally, Sizarla would slither you to look over Alekar’s head and peer around, but for the most part stayed on his shoulders. At one point she looked at Raiden, grinned, then hopped off Alekar and quickly glided over to Raiden and happily rode upon the male’s back with a grin.

Eventually they arrived with the conclusion to peruse the dragon, but not to actually engage in combat. A spying mission somewhat. Mysha sighed, saying "We don't know what it can do, but we need to learn. Hopefully we do, and if it's the one that belongs to our dragons maybe they can calm her."
Quetzal woofed softly, nudging Arcane gently. "It's nice to spend time with you too. You're not like what the common dogs say. Everyone thought you and Ligach would be mean."

Raiden glanced behind him to see Sizarla. "Having fun there?" He chuckled gently before looking ahead. It was nice to relax for a bit, and having her there was good too.

As they came to a final conclusion, Drake signed the official plan to put into action and quickly got the patrols to be arranged and set out to search. He looked to Mysha and nodded, gently taking her hand in his. “Yes, lets my love. Hopefully this will all end soon and peacefully.”
Arcane tipped his head a bit and blinked a couple times. “Really? Why did they think that?” He asked, competent puzzled as to why they’d be thought of as mean.

Sizarla grinned and nodded, happily settling upon Raiden’s back with a happy trill. “Yep!” She replied happily, giving his head a light muzzle before comfortably laying back down and just lounging as she rode.

Mysha nodded a little. "I just want to go back to being relaxed, not having to worry about such things. As long as you're here though, I'll manage."
Quetzal blinked as she walked. "Well, they assumed you would be snobs or something because of your status."

Laugai looked over at the dragons, saying "You two look comfortable." Raiden shrugged his shoulders a bit and said "Yup. I don't mind it." He glanced back at Sizarla with a smile.

Drake smiled and nodded, leaning close to Mysha and kissing her cheek. “And as long as you’re here with me, I know I’ll be able to make it through too.” He said to her happily.
Arcane blinked a couple times, genuinely surprised. “Oh... I see. Well I’m glad that we’re not what you expected in this case!” He barked happily, giving Quetzal a brief lick to her cheek.

Sizarla grinned and nodded to Laugai. “Yes, very!” She replied happily, then looked to Raiden as he turned to look at her. She leaned forward and lightly touched her nose to his and purred playfully before leaning back so he didn’t get distracted.

Mysha smiled fondly at Drake before looking as one of the council spoke "Should we arrange for more search parties then?"
Quetzal barked happily at this. "Come on, let's keep going. There's a spot where humans leave their leftovers, like that one spot we went to a ways back."

After some time of walking, Laugai looked over as some people approached them and said "Hello there, sirs. What's brought you to the city? With unique dragons too."

Drake nodded and looked back out to the hall. "That's a good idea, love. Let's do that." He said, calling more of their generals in.
Arcane woofed in agreement to Quetzal's suggestion and his stubby tail wagged happily. "That's a great idea, Quetzal. Everyone else okay with that?" he woofed, looking to Ligach and the others.

Alekar heard a voice and he looked up. He cast a glance to Sizarla to warn her not to talk human speak. They'd had enough trouble with people knowing about Sizarla's ability. He looked to the person speaking and he gave a small smile. "Hello, we're just travelers stopping for a while. Getting supplies, things like that." He replied.
Sizarla sat up as the human came over and she lightly wrapped her tail around Raiden's side.

Mysha looked as the generals soon arrived, she and Drake soon arranging patrols and the like. "Should our dragons go, do you think?"
Quetzal looked as the other dogs agreed. "Good, I know a spot where some wealthy families put their scraps."

The guy nodded, saying "Oh, okay. You might want to head down that way. If you're just passing through, there's some people who sell suitable supplies for travel."

Drake frowned softly, rubbing his chin slowly. "I don't know... They may still be grieving the loss of their daughter. But we can always ask." He replied before turning to the generals and explaining the plan to go out and search for the threat the people were warning about.
Arcane woofed happily. "Then let's go!" He woofed happily, trotting with his friends to the place.

Mysha shrugged. "Grieving or not, she is dangerous. And I'm pretty sure they know this." She knew they were grieving parents, but she wouldn't put their grief above an entire people.
Quetzal led the way to the place, where there was tons of scraps and leftovers left out, the dogs sniffing around it all.

Raiden studied the man as he scurried off, and Laugai said "Well, he didn't seem suspicious or a liar, but you never know. We can go check it out later or something, to see what's there."

Drake nodded slowly and he got up to his feet, looking to Mysha. “Then let’s go talk to them, shall we?”
Arcane looked as they saw all the dogs and he started snuffling around as well, trying to find something for Quetzal or something they could share. There was so much to choose from!

Sizarla and Alekar each nodded and Alekar looked around. “That’s a good idea. Do you know anywhere else we should look awhile?” He asked
Sizarla listened to the two humans talk and she lightly draped her slender tail over his shoulder and lightly tickled him under the chin, just trying to flirt a little.

The council left to go start on what they were told as Mysha walked with Drake to go to their dragons.
Quetzal found the haunch of something, with a few bites taken out of it. She trotted over to it, even got her jaws around the leg bone, only to have a much bigger dog come over and snatch it away.

Laugai shrugged a little, saying "Hmm, I know where there's a pub we can go to. It's not exactly a place to get supplies, but it's a place to relax and listen to some good stories."
Raiden blinked once as Sizarla did this, glancing back at her with a teasing smile. "Tease," he chuckled softly, quiet enough to where no one besides their group could heat.

Drake gently held an arm around Mysha’s waist and led her out towards where their dragons stayed.
Shard was currently watching little Pyre, who wasn’t so little anymore, fly around their little home while he held his other dragonlings and mate close.

Alekar nodded slowly. “That sounds like a good idea. I’m eager to learn more about the area and the other people in the region.” He said as he looked around and then back to their dragons and smiled as he saw the two.
Sizarla giggled softly, just loud enough so Raiden could hear it, and she lightly touched her nose to his. “Who me?” She whispered.

Ma'ait was settled beside Shard, watching Magna fly around with Pyre. She then looked as their humans came over, tilting her head.

Laugai nodded. "Definitely, so let's go." He led the way to the pub, soon arriving and holding the door open for the others. He looked over at their dragons as they walked by, Raiden smiling as he carried Sizarla inside.

Shard lightly licked Ma’ait as they laid together, wing draped over her side, then looked up as he saw Drake and Mysha approaching.
Pyre looked down as he heard noise and he grinned. “It’s auntie Mysha and uncle Drake!” He squeaked happily.
Drake looked up as he heard one of the young dragons chirping at their arrival and he waved, then looked at the adult dragons. “Ma’ait, Shard, can we talk?” He asked.

Alekar watched as Raiden strode in before he and Laugai and he noticed how happy Sizarla looked. He smirked a little bit and looked to Laugai and chuckled a little bit. “Those two seem to be getting friendly.” He said in amusement as he walked in after Laugai.
Sizarla looked around as they entered and she smiled and breathed in a deep waft, enjoying all the scents. She lightly nuzzled Raiden’s head and trilled. “There are so many scents in here!” She told Raiden in dragon-tongue.

Magna chirped happily as the humans came over, but tilted her head curiously as Drake asked to talk. Ma'ait tilted her head as well, tail swishing once as she waited for them to talk.

Laugai chuckled, watching how friendly the dragons were being. That was good though, since the group planned on sticking together for a while. He found the group a spot to settle.
Raiden nodded in agreement, speaking back to her in their dragon tongue. "Yes, lots of scents. I like to watch the humans and their pets. Each city and village is different and unique in some way."

Drake strode up to Shard and the two greeted each other. "So here's the deal. We've gotten reports of a dragon-like beast or figure causing mass mayhem a ways away. From what we gathered, the figure appears to be a small dragon..." he said softly.

Alekar followed Laugai and their dragons and soon settled with them, watching as the two dragons talked. He looked to Laugai and chuckled. "Good to know they like each other so far."
Sizarla nodded and she sat up, looking around slowly as she tried to take everything in. This was all so exciting! "I have a feeling we are gonna learn a lot." She chirped.

Magna listened curiously at that before looking to her parents. Ma'ait listened intently as well, tail waving once before she looked over at Shard as if to ask what he wanted to do. It could be Xandrite.

Raiden nodded in agreement with Sizarla. "Yes, there's much to learn anywhere you go. Just keep an eye on some of the humans. Most here accept dragons, but there are a few who don't still." He grumbled at the reality, glancing around.

Shard looked at Ma’ait as she looked at him and he nuzzled her softly. “Should we go look for whoever it is? Just in case it’s Xandy?” He asked softly.
Drake waited for the two dragons to respond, knowing they were talking.

Laugai watched their dragons. "I'm jealous," he said to Alekar with a laugh. "They have each other while we're staying single." He would meet the right woman on his own time though.

Drake smiled happily and gently rubbed Shard's muzzle and head. "Thank you, friend." He whispered happily to the dragon, to which Shard replied with a happy, calm rumble.
Shard looked to Ma'ait and fluttered his wings a bit. "Should we go now?"

Pyre swooped down and landed on his father’s large forearm. “But daddy it’s Xandy!!!” He whined, bumping his head against Shard’s neck a few times. “We have to make sure she comes home!” He whined.

Alekar nodded in amusement and continued to look around, waiting for a menu or someone to ask what they wanted to eat. “Yes, I’m looking forward to travel for a while. Afterwards, who knows. My father had talked about turning over running the hotel to me so I guess only time will tell.”

Magna nodded from her spot by Scaws, tail swishing as Ma'ait sighed "We know it could be, but it might be dangerous for you three if we took you..."
Mysha watched their dragons have whatever conversation, noticing the younglings probably wanting to go. She glanced at Drake, motioning for the two of them to give the family some space.

Laugai nodded. "Whatever you decide to do, do it as long as it makes you happy." Even if it meant eventually parting ways, though he and Raiden would still visit of course.

Pyre and Scaws each whined and tried to give their best puppy-dog eyes. “Please? Please?” They each said, as if it could change anything.
Shard sighed softly and shook his head. “No. You four are our pride and joys. And while we search for your sister we need to be sure you three are safe. And we can’t do that if you’re with us.” He murmured.
Drake nodded and stepped back a little ways, bringing Mysha with him.

Alekar nodded softly and smiled a bit. “Very good advice.” He said happily. He could see how being with Laugai and Raiden would be very educational and a fun time.
Sizarla was still lounging on Raiden’s back, trilling happily as she listened to his breathing and heartbeat.
