"We will, but first we need to know the female dragon is okay. I want her to be able to speak and tell our Dragons she is okay." he said, subtly trying to stall for time as the night continued on.
Alekar nodded slowly and watched as the two dragons played. "... May I ask you a bit of an odd question?" THe man asked.

The soldier cracked his first smile, his shrunken skin stretching. "Well, we were going to wait until the trade was made, but now will work fine." He slowly started removing the muzzle, Xandrite relaxing a little.
Laugai blinked once. "Yes, what is it?" He looked over at Alekar curiously.

Shard watched as Xandrite’s muzzle came off. “Xandrite, sweetie. Answer me aloud. Are you okay, have they hurt you?” He asked.
Drake was watching the crowd and started reciting words in his mind. It was the one night of the year he could recite spells in his mind, the one night he could summon enough power to do so. As the source of thy power, the Black Emperor’s servant orders thee....

Xandrite nodded slowly. "I feel great. They didn't hurt me." She glanced back at the creatures, the leading soldier nodding ever so slightly. Xandrite turned toward her parents again, saying "I want to go home."
Mysha glanced over at Drake, knowing he was stalling to prepare power.

Shard looked over as he noticed the soldier nod, though it was ever so slightly. “Why did he nod to you, Xandrite?” He asked in a snarl, his trust beginning to break. It was clear to him that the poison of the Beast’s flame had some effect on her. But what?
Drake continued to think the words over in his head, dark storm clouds beginning to roll over the sky, but appeared to be caused naturally like a breeze blowing clouds over. ...Decipher the laws of Darkness and bend the rules of Nature...

Alekar took a slow breath. “Would you... would you mind if Sizarla and I came along? We’ve wanted to travel for a while...”
Sizarla continued to play with her friend up until Alekar’s querstion, where she stopped in her tracks and looked at the humans.

Xandrite shook her head a little. "Nothing. So, they want mama now." She looked to her father hopefully. "Then I can go home." She glanced as the chains on her wings were removed.

Laugai blinked once, tilting his head. He glanced at Raiden, who simply shrugged a little. He then smiled, saying "I don't see why not. If you're up for it."

Shard’s eyes narrowed and a dark aura erupted from him and surrounded a great multitude of the armies, including those at the center. “Are you LYING to me, girl? To your parents who raised you?” He asked in a loud, angry snarl. He wasn’t buying any of this, not yet anyway.
Alekar’s eyes widened and Sizarla brightened up, looking to her dragon friend. “Are you sure, Laugai? We don’t want to impose.” The female said.

Xandrite sniffed. "Burnglow here says you're not my parents. That he found my egg abandoned, and brought it to Rhaegar, who was going to make me better so my parents would take me back. Until you stole me." As she spoke, her veins began to map out with a bright orange energy.
Laugai laughed a little. "You're fine, really. I just hope you're ready for a more fast-paced life." He smiled at Alekar before looking at their dragons.

"This... Burnglow... didn't even EXIST until the Beast awoken, Xandrite. He's lying to you. There were enemies of the kingdom trying to SACRIFICE you to the beast! I saved you as an egg, just as you were about to fall in!" Shard snarled, extending his one wing to once again show her the singe marks of the black-red flames of the Beast when it was dormant. "Your birth parents were long gone when we found you, Xandrite. Or dead." He said, tears in Shard's eyes. "We raised you the best we could. With the same love and care we gave all of you young ones." He said.
Drake was still preparing the spell, nearly complete now. As a sacrifice, I temporarily offer myself and my Dark Flames to power the spell.... Seeing as the negotiations were going nowhere, Drake decided it was time for action. Raising his hands up to either side, he looked over the crowd of enemies and his eyes swirled to nothing but black, and his dark flames burst into the air all around the area, hitting a few enemies right there. "Now, consume this land and annihilate my enemies! Burn them away so nothing remains! Multi-layer Darkness Spell, Third Forma! NIGH TERROR PRISON!" He shouted, and he just suddenly vanished in an explosion of black flame. All at once, an impenetrable wall of black flame sprung up in a wide circle around the entire field, and soon the flames become solid walls, impenetrable by anything tainted by the beast's flame except the beast itself. Soon, a Spirograph-like design formed above the cage, changing colors and shapes while also forming a bright ball at the center. Immediately, a rain of black, flaming bolts began raining down at the other camp, targeting those that were in cahoots with the Beast.

Sizarla started grinning and she started prancing around her friend and his human, smiling widely. "We're gonna travel!" She said giddily.
Alekar watched his dragon and he chuckled. "I'm sure we'll be okay, given how much energy Sizarla already has."

Xandrite growled. "I was going to be made great until you ruined everything! I-" She jumped as the flames from Drake appeared and created the wall. Burnglow grabbed her shoulder, hissing something in her ear-hole before falling apart. Xandrite looked scared as she looked around, the other soldiers scrambling around. Some tried avoiding the bolts, but many were being destroyed.
Mysha just stood beside Drake, watching watching everything happen. Something happened between the dragons though it seemed, seeing how Ma'ait just looked heartbroken. However, her attention was turned toward something else entering the field. It was that demon, lava body moving smoothly as he looked around.

Laugai laughed. "Good, good. Well, I assume you'll need some time to prepare for the departure. We can leave whenever you two are ready. Raiden and I don't have much, so we don't need to pack."

"Don't you see, Xandrite? You were going to fall, just like these other minions." Shard roared, looking at his daughter. "Now, the decision is up to you. I've been keeping these projectiles away from you so far, but your next decision will decide what happens. Abandon this Beast, and abandon your rage, or die here." he growled, flames increasing as more arrows began to fall.
Get ready to use the Chains... came Drake's voice into Mysha's head, currently 'gone' as he was being absorbed in the blaze. This will end tonight...

Alekar nodded quickly. "I need to go tell my folks and, like you said, get packed. How about we leave early tomorrow morning?"

Xandrite looked between her parents and the magma dragon. She then cried out, a shriek that sounded unsettlingly human at what happened next. The large demon had opened his jaws, fire spewing forth so strong it almost appeared solid. The flames actually broke a hole through the wall. It almost looked like it was an attempt to rescue Xandrite. However, the walls were simply boxing everyone in, filling up with flames as Ma'ait shrieked, unable to see anything through the walls and fire combined.

Laugai nodded. "Sounds like a plan. It'll be good to have some new faces travelling with us." Raiden nodded happily, tail waving as he looked over at Sizarla. "This is going to be great," the male Celestial said.

"Don't you see, Xandy?!" Shard asked, watching as the flames came in and he tried to launch fireballs at the demon. "It's trying to annihilate us all? Sure you might be rescued, but you might also die!" Shard snarled.
Mysha! Get the chains and get the beast down! We only have a little time to make this work! Drake echoed.

Sizarla grinned and nodded in agreement to her friend. "Yeah Rai! It'll be so much fun!" She giggled as her tail waved and she nosed him lightly. "See you later!" She said before running after Alekar as they went back towards the hotel.

Ma'ait looked panicked. "Shard, I think the flames are getting her too!!" She couldn't see Xandrite anywhere, trying to flee or anything. She ran around to another angle of the walls, trying to look around.
Mysha had already been getting the chains ready, her and the other guards using any relevant powers to move the chains and have them sling toward the monster. The beast grunted in anger, but didn't stop what he was doing.

Raiden waited until they were gone before looking back toward Laugai, who managed an unsure smile. Hopefully this wouldn't take a nose-dive. Sighing, he walked with his friend to get his mind off of things. (Skip to next morning?)

Shard snarled. "Alright let's find her! Soon it'll be too late!" He shouted he romped off to find his daughter. They only had a little time left.
I'll lure the beast into position. No matter what happens, Mysha... I love you... Drake said to her, just in case. Just then, a pillar of black fire appeared near the beast and moved around, trying to distract it.

Ma'ait ran to go find Xandrite, just as the flames from the beast ceased. The demon had turned his attention toward the fire and the chains, which had wrapped around him and were weighing him down.
Mysha and the others watched while trying to keep the chains around the demon, hoping Drake would come through. Preferably alive as well.

Next morning, Laugai and Raiden were outside of the inn, waiting for Alekar and Sizarla to show up so they could leave.

Shard continued to search for Xandrite, gratefully accepting the help of Drake as he got the flames to stop. he looked around for the female he called his daughter, whining softly. "Xandrite?!"
Just then, the pillar circled around and moved to the center of the 'prison'. Just then, Drake's voice came echoing through the space. "For your crimes against this kingdom and it's inhabitants... including the killing and subsequent 'turning' of our denizens... you will die here and now..." he voice came out, loud and booming. The pillar narrowed down and was replaced by a pitch-black form, Drake, hovering in air. "With the Chains to hold you down, and the Dark Fire that binds your flesh to death, DIE!" He shouted, pointing towards the beast. "Dark Prison, Final Attack!" He said, and the changing figure in the ceiling changed to that of a gigantic spell circle, followed by more spell circles all around the prison. "Dark Imprisonment!" He shouted, and all of the spell circles lit up and shot black spires at the beast, attempting to stab it through in every way conceivable.

Alekar and Sizarla were soon coming out of the inn, a couple of small bags in hand. "Are you ready to go?" Alekar asked his friend, while Sizarla instantly wandered over to her buddy Raiden.

The beast simply hummed. You've just made the biggest mistake today... and may your demise be tenfold... And with that, he allowed the flames and chains to overtake him, flesh searing away in the dark fire. The chains wrapped around the creature's old bones, a hole opening up in the ground and dragging them inside. Something told Mysha that they wouldn't be troubled by the demon again though.
Ma'ait looked as the fire was dispelled, looking around for their daughter. She froze when she saw her, most of Xandrite's scales scorched away and flesh bubbling and split from the fire.

Laugai nodded with a smile. "Ready as ever. Raiden and I were thinking of heading north. There's some good cities and such that I want to look into." He looked over as Raiden smiled to Sizarla, sniffing at her in a friendly manner.

Drake watched as the beast was dragged into the depths of darkness, and he huffed. “Not. A. Chance.” He snarled, then looked down at his wife. He slowly drifted back down to her, landing next to her. He went back to normal, though he looked beyond drained. “We did iiiitttt....” He said, then slumped and topped over towards her.
Shard followed his wife but when they arrived at Xandrite he gasped and tried to shield his mate from seeing her. He started building a charge of flame in his mouth, just in case.

“Sounds good here, Laugai.” Alekar replied, hefting the bags onto his shoulders. “Were you thinking of flying there once we get out of the city or just walking?”

Mysha caught Drake as he toppled over. Well, tried to, considering she only had one arm to work with. Beta helped her out though, putting an arm around him to properly support his weight. She then looked over at the dragons, blinking once.
Ma'ait had turned away the moment she caught a glimpse, but looked over her shoulder as she saw a glow. Xandrite's body was beginning to heal. Well, it seemed like it, except that instead of scales, her body was developing a magma hide. Blackened skin hardening, bright orange veins mapping her out.

"Flying would be best," Laugai decided. "Where I want to go is a few days away, by flight. We can take breaks though, make stops so the dragons can rest." He looked down at the two dragons to see what they thought, Raiden humming in approval.

Shard was barely able to watch, still building a charge. Whatever was about to happen, it would either end with a dead dragonling or something else. But if Xandrite was already lost, he couldn’t hold back.
Drake was out cold now, barely breathing and limp as anything.

Sizarla nodded happily, tail waving. She was excited to fly, not having been able to assume her full form in a long time.
Alekar just chuckled. “Looks like they’re in.” he said, looking back up at Laugai. “I guess we should head out.”

Xandrite had developed the magma hide, but her emerald eyes remained the same. She looked at herself once she opened her eyes, confused for a moment before smiling. "It actually worked," she said softly with shock. Still looking at herself, she ignored her parents as she continued "I should've burned away, a pile of ash, but he came through for me." Smirking, she didn't even cast them a glance as she spread her wings and flew off, ignoring Ma'ait as she called for her to come back.
Mysha watched with a confused expression as the young dragon flew off. She didn't really care at that moment though, just wanting to get Drake back home. The dragons would have to deal with it. Getting Drake onto a horse, she directed Beta and the humans to head back home.

Laugai nodded with a bright smile. And with that, they were off, walking to leave the city. And it wasn't until they were a ways out of the city that he said it was alright for their dragons to change. Raiden was first, ninety feet long and tall like before, lowering a wing so Laugai could simply climb it and get onto his back.

Shard snarled and he leaped after his now (in his mind) former daughter. “XANDRITE!!!” He snarled as he tried to fly after her.

Sizarla changed soon after Raiden, just admiring his giant, amazing form. As she changed, she became much bigger as well, but stopped when she was about ten feet shorter than her friend. Alekar soon climbed up onto her back via her tail. And like that, they were ready.

Xandrite was soon gone though, disappearing from view as she flew out of sight. Ma'ait called Shard back though, saying "She's... she's not important right now. At least she's alive, but let's go check on Drake, okay?"
(Yeah we can skip them back to camp)
Soon, Mysha was let back into the fort after making the trek back into the city. Sighing, she and Beta helped Drake inside so their healers could look at him and make sure he was okay. She glanced as Ligach and the other dogs trotted over, whining worriedly.

Laugai smiled before patting Raiden's scales, holding onto some small protrusions as not to fall off. The Celestial was soon up in the air, with a single sweep of his wings. Rising into the sky, both looked around as the trees and such became beneath them.

Drake was still out cold, but grunted softly as he felt the presence of others increasing.
Arcane wandered over with his friends and he whined loudly. “Drake...” he whined.
Shard reluctantly flew back to camp and he nodded, whimpering softly. “Alright, love....” He mumbled, making his way back with ehf.

Sizarla shot up after their friends and soon joined them in the sky, flying beside Raiden. Both of the newbies were excited, about everything happening.
