Quetzal settled by Arcane as the dogs watched with Mysha as healers started examining Drake, making sure he was okay or if he was not. So far so good though, and Quetzal commented to Arcane "The air seems... lighter, don't you think?"
Ma'ait flew back with Shard, landing quietly as Magna trotted over to them. "You're back!" She looked up at them hopefully before looking around them. "Where's Xandy?"
-----
Laugai looked over at the two, chuckling a little in amusement. He called over the wind "This your first time traveling?" He couldn't say much, as he had been just as excited to go on his first genuine travel.

Arcane nodded as he looked around and watched as they carried Drake away to be patched up. He looked back to Quetzal and he rolled his head a bit to work out a stiff muscle. “Yes, it does...” he replied softly.
Shard walked over to his children and he curled around them close, sighing softly. “She’s... gone, my loves...” he replied softly.
~~~~~~~~~
“This far and this high up, yes!” Alekar replied, nearly giddy with excitement.
Sizarla looked over at her friend and rolled her eyes at Alekar response, giggling a little.
Mysha stayed with the healers the entire time to keep watch over Drake, a worried expression on her face. She just wanted for him to be okay.
Quetzal nudged Arcane, saying "Hopefully your human will be okay." She looked over toward the dragons too, noticing they didn't look too happy either.
Magna looked confused. "Gone? Is she dead?" She then started to look sad as her mother comforted her and tell her "No, Magna. She's just... we never found her."
-------
Laugai laughed a little over the wind as he looked ahead. Raiden would flap his wings occasionally as they flew, looking around as he navigated by memory. "We can stop in a few hours or so," the dragon spoke over the wind.
Drake was still fighting, but this time to stay alive. He still had far to go to be completely better, but since the night was still in the sky, his flame was still active and helping sear shut his wounds. Whether that was good or bad, however, was yet to be seen.
Arcane nodded in agreement, panting softly in happiness as his friend nudged him. “Me too...” he breathed. He left out the part that, should Drake die, he’d immediately return to the Cave of Dogs and become stone again, though.
Shard just laid with his kids, licking the now-quivering Scaws to try to calm him. ~~~~~~~
Sizarla flew next to her friend and also flapped occasionally, though it was usually more often than him.
“Sounds good!” Alekar replied as he leaned back and relaxed.
Mysha had the healers working until they were sure of the results. At the very least if Drake would last the night. She looked miserable as she waited though, Ligach unable to comfort her.
Quetzal just stayed with Arcane, trying to comfort him. She seemed genuinely concerned for the well-being of Arcane's human.
------
When those few hours came to pass, Raiden began to descend into a sheltered area of trees. He found a place to land though. Laugai looked around as they landed, deciding that it would be good to hunt soon or something for food.
Drake settled down slowly and he occasionally groaned or shook, sweat appearing on his forehead. He was a long way off, but it was slowly getting better.
Arcane whined softly as he observed the humans and then he looked over at his friend Quetzal and blinked appreciatively. “Thanks, Quetzal...”
~~~~~~~~
Sizarla flew down and landed nearby Raiden, tail waving as she looked around. Everything was so green and fresh!
“I know this are is popular for lots of berries, fish in the streams, and wild game.” Alekar commented as he hopped off Sizarla’s back.

Mysha gently held one of Drake's hands with her only one, as if to reassure him that she was there even though he was unconscious.
-------
Laugai nodded. "I've got a few spears, if you want to see about catching something. And we can just let our dragons go hunt I guess."

After a great many hours, around midday that day, Drake’s strength was gradually returning with healing, and he was eventually able to weakly grasp Mysha’s hand in his, though he was still unconscious.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sizarla perked up at getting to spend time with Raiden to hunt, and Alekar laughed a bit. “Looks like Siz is good with that idea.” He said, turning back to Laugai. “Let’s do it.”
Mysha brightened up a little as Drake responded to her touch, though she was still a little uneasy because he was still unconscious. "You'll be okay," she murmured gently.
-----
Laugai smiled. "Alright, let's split then. Just let me get the spears." He got the weapons and handed one to Alekar just as Raiden walked over to Sizarla, shrinking to a more suitable size for the forestry.
Drake was slowly healing, and would probably soon wake up. Arcane came in with a bag in his mouth, a meal from the cooks for Mysha, and Drake should he wake. He set the parcel beside Mysha and nosed her leg gently before walking over to his human and hopping up onto his hind legs and looking at Drake and whining softly.
~~~~
Alekar nodded and watched as Laugai got their spears for hunting and Sizarla shrinking in size next to Raiden, nosing the male happily.

Mysha murmured a soft thanks to Arcane before letting go of Drake's hand to eat. Quetzal stayed beside Arcane, looking up at Drake curiously.
-----
Laugai smiled before splitting off from the dragons to walk with Alekar. "Hopefully we catch something sooner rather than later, but one move too loud and you scare everything off."
Raiden went another direction from the humans, walking with Sizarla as he said "So, tell me a little more about yourself. I haven't talked with a Moon Celestial in a long time."

Arcane eventually dropped down and he looked to Quetzal, whining worriedly. “He seemed to be doing better... but I’m still worried to death...”
~~~~~~~~~~ Alekar nodded in reply and continued walking quietly with his new friend. “Understood.” He replied softly. “I have had some hunting training, by the way. Just tell me where you want me and what to do>”
Sizarla shrugged a little and walked along next to Raiden. “Well there’s not much to tell really. I like fish meat especially, I’m an older juvenile in terms of age... and I don’t really have any dragon family besides who I’ve met.”
Quetzal licked Arcane's cheek before saying "He'll be okay. I know it." Well, hoped it anyway. "He went to go fight the monsters, and came back alive. Weak, but alive."
------
Laugai nodded. "We'll split if or when we see something. Whoever gets close enough to scare it first, the other will be there to deal a good blow. Or if it's something small, just make sure you have good aim."
Raiden rumbled softly. "Well, I've come to favor horse myself, but fish is definitely up there. I've... got some years on me. And... I had a family, blood related and one of my own. A mate, and an egg. She passed a little over five years ago though, killed by... something, but I never found our egg. I just hope it wasn't smashed or anything, but I doubt it. Celestial Eggs are things people are more inclined to steal rather than destroy."
Arcane nodded slowly and smiled as Quetzal licked his cheek. He let out a happy mini-growl, stubby tail waving. “Aww shucks, Quetzal... you always make me feel better...”
~~~~~~~~~~
Alekar nodded in reply, going silent. Laugai’s plan made a lot of sense, and he wasn’t going to argue with the clearly more experienced man.
Sizarla’s eyes shimmered with sadness and worry. “Oh, Raiden I’m so sorry!” She said, leaning her head over and rubbed her cheek on his shoulder to try and comfort him. “I hope you find your kin at least! I’m sure you’ll find them, someday!” She said, clearly now worried more about Raiden’s emotions than anything.

Quetzal brightened up, tilting her head. "I just don't like seeing you so worried, especially about a human like yours. I hear the black fire is pretty rare power." She didn't know much about magic, but she could tell a strong human when she saw one.
------
Laugai looked through the trees as he quietly moved about the forestry, keeping an eye out for any possible meals. It wasn't long until he saw a doe. It had a fawn though, so he moved on quietly.
Raiden hummed. "Laugai and I looked for a long, long time, but turned up dry. And we figured since we hadn't found it, or hatchling by then, then we were never going to. I've always had a hunch that good beings found it though, so I'm not worried."

Arcane nodded slowly and he sat down beside Quetzal. “Yes, it is quite rare... but I cannot help but worry! He’s my human! I’m sworn to protect him!” He barked.
~~~~~~~
Alekar too saw the doe and drew his spear to get ready. But he immediately saw the fawn after and instantly dropped the ‘attack stance’ he’d assumed and he too moved on. Sure they needed food, but not so much as to attack a mother and her baby.
Sizarla nodded in agreement and she bumped her head on her friend’s to show she agreed. “Yes, I’m sure that happened to. I’m glad you’re not too worried, though.”
Quetzal woofed softly. "Well, maybe now that they won their fight, judging by how relaxed most of them looked, you won't have to worry much. Things might get better around here. Well, even better."
-------
Laugai was lucky to find another potential catch though, a grown buck nosing around the grass. He inched closer. Making sure Alekar was ready, he simply ran out toward it, causing it to jump up and reel around toward Alekar.
Raiden purred softly. "It's allowed me to move on. Maybe I'll have a other family one day. I'd been so excited to see my egg hatch, and teach my hatchling to fly or catch prey. I still want that little dream to happen."
Arcane nodded slowly and continued to watch his master rest and recover. “I sure hope so, Quetzal... I sure hope so...” He mumbled.
~~~~~~~
Alekar watched as the buck was chased his way and, once the time came, he made his move and managed to injure the buck in the perfect place, meaning it would die fairly soon even if it got away.
Sizarla nodded happily and smiled. “I’m sure your dream will come true one day, Raiden.” She replied as she nudged her nose on his shoulder. She didn’t expect for her to be the one to make such a dream come true for the male, though. Sure she wanted to find a mate and raise young one day, but she and Raiden only just met. Not to mention they were just about as different as the sun and the moon.

Quetzal looked back toward the humans, watching Mysha mostly. She looked absolutely miserable even though Drake was healing. Seemed she really was worried about him.
~~~~~~~
The buck was knocked over, falling with a yelp. Laugai went over to the buck, just kneeling beside him as his chest heaved. His father always told him to sit with dying prey as they slipped away, so they wouldn't die alone.
Raiden shrugged a little. "I hope so, but I haven't had much chance to try and peruse such wants." Not with his and Raiden's... problem. Sighing, he said "Come on, let's see about catching some prey, hm?"
Sure! YOu could hop into the plot with me and Smokey, or me and Miss. Or one of us could create a new character to rp with you! Up to you))
Later in the day, a few weak coughs came from Drake, followed by a loud moan as he slowly opened his eyes and tried to look around. He was sore, and still tired. “Hello?” He said weakly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alekar wandered over to his friend and watched as he and the deer sat side-by-side. He figured there was a purpose for the ‘ceremony’ so he said nothing as the deer died.
Sizarla nodded happily and she sniffed the air and flicked out her tongue to try and detect any kind of prey that was big enough they could eat.

Mysha had been there the entire time, perking up when she saw him awake. Gently grasping his hand with hers, she said softly "Hey." She looked tired, having not rested even a little since getting back.
~~~~~~~
Laugai hummed. "My father said to sit with someone while they die, so they won't go off alone." By the time he had finished speaking though, the buck had faded away. Sighing, he got up and said "Help me carry it back to where we landed?"
Raiden eventually caught the scent of prey. Deer. Looking around, his four eyes shifted until he saw a few nearby, though far enough away where they didn't notice the dragons. He gestured to Sizarla with his head that he had found possible catches.
Drake brightened up as his wife came into focus and he tightened his grip on her hand. “Did we win?” He asked, the events of the night prior very much a blur.
~~~~~~~~
“I see.” Alekar replied before nodding and helping Laugai hoist the buck up. “Of course, Laugai.” He replied.
Sizarla stopped as she felt Raiden’s gesture and she turned to look at where he indicated. She instantly nodded and her tongue swiped around her mouth. She then looked back to her friend and tipped her head as if to ask how they could bring the deer down.
