Mysha seemed to read Drake's mind, smiling slightly and saying "It's just Beta and Zeta here. They're the only two I've actually ever come close to completing, well I actually completed Beta." Speaking of, the larger automaton moved to collect Zeta, holding him close as he waited for the others to lead the way out. Mysha seemed so much better already, smiling more than she had since she had been traveling. "Let's go get me a new brand, hm?" Hopefully they would do it without running into anyone, but she knew it wouldn't be that easy.

Larkes laughed a little bit. “Yeah, my arm was getting a bit tired.” He said with a smile as he let his arms drop and he walked around the dragon on got onto it right where Aldnoa instructed. He brought his wing down like a step, and once Larkes was on, lifted it to horizontal. From there he could simply walk onto his back, carefully make his way to the small of his back (between the shoulders) and sit comfortably.

I don’t have any open characters, Protractor. Anyone else? Or maybe someone could create a character to rp with Protractor?)!
Drake nodded slowly in response to Mysha’s request. “Yes, lets head off then. The sooner we get there the more time exists until daybreak. Our best bet is to get out before dawn, cause that’s when the ful power of myself and Shard runs out.” He said, frowning a little. “If we get above the clouds, Shard and I can make it so we all fly in silence. But once we get to this sacred cave of yours who knows what could happen.” He said as he crossed his arms in thought.
Larkes boarded the large mechanical beast, still in awe of all his parts and gears and absolute magnificence. Once he found the proper place he settled down, got into the most comfortable position he could while still making sure he didn’t fall out, and he looked around from his new vantage point. “Well I guess this starts our new adventure!” Larkes said cheerfully.

Mysha nodded. "Up in the air it is then." As they eventually got out into the open again, she helped Beta load Zeta onto Ma'ait before they both piled on, Beta holding the smaller automaton to him so he didn't fall off. "Once we get there, I'm trusting you all to keep me safe, cause I have a choice of brand in mind, and it will take a while to complete, and I'm sure trouble will come before then." She smiled slightly. "I wouldn't want anyone else watching my back though."

(I would, but I can't think up anymore characters I can stay interested in rn, i tend to focus on one plot line in rps and might end up neglecting another if i take on multiple and i don't want to do that to you, Protractor :c)

Watching as everything was piled onto Ma’ait, Shard looked a bit concerned. He warmbled softly with nervousness and he decided to vocalize his concern. “Can you carry all that, Ma’ait? We can’t have you getting hurt before we even start.”
Drake helped Mysha load everything up and then he walked over to his dragon and climbed aboard. At Mysha’s comment about all her friends watching her back and such, Drake felt his heart warm and cheeks flush. He looked away for a couple seconds, letting himself get back to focusing on the task at hand, before looking at Mysha. “And we will defend you the whole time. From now until we are safe, we won’t let anything harm you.”

Ma'ait looked over at Shard with a mischievous smile before her muscles seemed to grow a bit, expanding her form just a little. Tissue was a material, after all, but it was actually difficult to replicate so she couldn't grow too much. Just enough to comfortably carry her passengers, two of which weren't exactly light. "If you like, you can carry Zeta." She glanced behind herself, looking as Beta turned to look at Shard, as if he could understand what the dragons were saying. A shame he couldn't talk back to them though. Fingers tapping against the plating of Zeta, he just listened to see what Shard would decide.
Mysha looked over at the dragons, raising a brow as she wondered what they were discussing. She could tell it probably had to do with the weight of her cargo though, and she just watched for a minute, refraining from telling Ma'ait to take off just yet.

Shard felt his cheeks warm and he ducked his head a little. “I can if you want. It’s up to you.” He said, glancing at her sheepishly.
Drake watched Shard’s reaction and he chuckled. “I don’t think Shard likes Ma’ait doing all the work. He wants to prove he’s big and strong to his new girlfr-“ he was cut off as the strong black tail of Shard collided with his side and he was flung off the dragon’s back.

Mysha opened her mouth to respond, but her brows shot up when Drake was sent flying off of Shard's back. She reached her hand to swat at Beta, who's clicking had become uneven and high-pitched. Laughter.
Ma'ait might've laughed at such things too, but she had developed an almost shy look. So instead, she waited for Drake and Shard to get situated again. So Shard could carry Zeta, Beta had slid off of Ma'ait and cautiously set the husk down on the ground for the dragon to pick up before climbing back onto Ma'ait.

The young male dragon still looked sheepish but he glanced at his friend and smiled a little. He would have to talk to Ma’ait later. But for now, they had a job to do. He reached his tail around and gently lifted he husk up to his back and gently placed it down. Once he’d allowed Drake to get back on his back, the man having a few scrapes, they both turned to their respective favorite females. “Ready to go?” Drake asked.

Mysha nodded before looking down at Ma'ait, who spread her wings and slowly rose into the sky, leaving Zeta for Shard to pick up. The dragoness rose into the air to a safe height where they wouldn't be immediately detected by others, and she did as told when Mysha directed her toward the cave. As she looked around, she noticed it was getting dark. That would be both good and bad once they got there. Sighing, she remained quiet for most of the trip.

After getting to his paws, Shard got Zeta situated on his back and the men soon flew after the two females and the mechanoid Beta. Shard quickly caught up to Ma’ait and grinned at her for a moment. Soon after rising above the clouds, Drake started making some hand motions and his markings started to glow. Soon, the sounds of their wing flaps died down and became silent, a near-invisible bubble around them as they flew.

The flight was on the shorter side before Mysha started to hear noise. Ah, so they were celebrating, but what though? For the main camp to be so many miles away still. Maybe the Chief found out his wife was carrying. Shrugging slightly, she simply looked as they neared their destination. Another cave, "protected" by two statues. Large canines with gaping jaws, staring downward at any approaching. Ma'ait touched down nearby, and Mysha hesitantly slid off, eyes averted from the stone dogs. This cave was also large enough to accommodate their dragons, but Mysha shook her head to Ma'ait and even Shard. It would be better for them to stand guard anyway. Looking at Drake, she said "You and Beta can come inside though... I'll need the defense."

Shard nodded slowly as Mysha instructed he and Ma’air to stay outside. He actually wanted some time alone with the female dragon. He smiled at Ma’ait and he sat down in a spot that wasn’t easily seen from the town, helping to ensure no one came looking.
Drake followed after Mysha as she led the way towards the cave, he too averting his gaze from the large dogs before they walked towards the cave. He didn’t speak, worried something might happen if he did.

After Mysha, Drake and Beta disappeared into the cave, Ma'ait looked over at Shard. Her wings twitched a little, tailtip tapping the ground lightly before she scooted a little closer. Didn't say anything, but there was a slight smile on her face as she looked down.
Mysha walked slowly into the darkness. You couldn't see squat, but you still somehow knew where to go. And you eventually had the feeling that you were descending. Soon though, something burst into view. Fire. And some more. Another swish, lighting up the room. Nothing attacked them though, the stone dogs looking down into the large space, fire swimming in their open jaws. There were multiple, and set before each were organs. Well, what looked like organs. They were made of wood, and Mysha looked around at them all. Despite not being real, the models made her a little queasy still. She had to pick one though.

Shard watched as his friend curled a little towards him and he smiled too, looking down as well but he slowly moved his tail to hers and wrapped their tails together a couple times.
Drake jumped as the fire illuminated the space and he watched Mysha. He left her to her choice, turning back towards the entrance. He slowly sat down, and began making symbols in the dust.

Ma'ait felt her cheeks warm a little, and she purred softly, wings twitching a little in excitement. Leaning into Shard a bit, she rested her head on his shoulder. She still kept an eye out though, knowing they would see trouble soon.
Mysha paused by the dog with a femur at its paws. Each statue was unique, this one looking gaunt and thinner than the others to make the bones more prominent. Sitting down in front of both objects, she gently took the wooden bone in her hands. Hm. She would definitely die if her bones were removed. That made them important, right? Hesitating, she stood up, just thinking it over for a moment, ignoring Beta as he wandered over a few steps to get a look at her potential choice.

Shard smiled as Ma’ait leaned into him a bit and warbled happily to her as they kept watch. This was quite nice, the two of them being so close. He licked her head a few times before looking back over the landscape.
Drake continued to make symbols on the dusty ground. They would come into play whenever someone came to attack them. He turned to look over at Mysha, waiting to see what would happen.

Ma'ait purred happily, but stopped when she noticed something nearby. Some huge... thing. It looked like a opossum, but it was completely white, and had what looked to be a little skull mask. Growling, she straightened up, eyes narrowing as she waited for that rat to do something.
Mysha looked up at the dog statue, weighing the bone in her hands before tossing the model into the large jaws of the dog. Almost immediately did they snap shut, and her body seemed to just freeze up. For just a moment before she crumpled, starting to seize. Beta had moved up to her gingerly, moving her onto her side. She had said this would likely happen, so he didn't show any immediate concern. The marks were immediately beginning to form. Not where anyone could see of course, but on her bones. So to anyone else, it just looked like she was seizing.

Shard too saw the beast coming, knowing it from the completely white form it took. But tonight wouldn’t be a repeat of the last time their paths cross. He leaned over, licked Ma’Ait a few times, whispered a “be safe.” To her, and was gone in a vapor of what looked like pitch black smoke.
Drake heard something snap shut but didn’t turn to look. He had felt the presence of something with the essence of Light outside and knew it wouldn’t be long before something happened.

Ma'ait nodded before turning toward the opossum, who ran forward. It almost looked comical, until Ghio started growing, the opossum exploded into light and expanding and taking shape, clawed appendages grabbing at her. She jumped back, wings closing over her in metal as as a fist slammed down on her.
Mysha was jerking and seizing away as the process went on gruelingly, a super long way from being done with the brand. She could hear noise in the distance, almost like screeches and chatter. They were coming.

"Indeed! Into the world! You, my guide, I, your guardian!" His wings stretched, did a practice flap... and then with a few powerful bursts of movement, they soared into the air.

“Leave her alone!” Came Shard’s echoing growls as a plume of oith black smoke came out of nowhere and shoved the light creature back, black talons clawing at it as the smoke pushed it back. They weren’t actually inside the cave, so he assumed that he could cause a little pain for he moment.
Drake looked up as he heard something coming. The threat wasn’t upon them yet, but it would be soon. He placed his hands down on the circle and black lightning started sparking around him as the circle began to glow. His body went completely pitch black, and a dark aura started to form at the entrance.

Larkes yelped as the dragon pumped his wings then shot into the air. “WWWWWOAAAAAHHHH!” Larkes yelled as he was buffered by the breeze from the two of them shooting skyward so fast.

He flew almost perpendicular to the Earth, until he could stop and let out a shaky breath of surprise. The great view left Aldnoa breathless. "Incredible."

Ma'ait tried to get behind the creature as he wrestled with the dark smoke. She tried to lunge and bite it, but she went straight through. Blinking, she tried something else. Bursting into flames, she spread out onto a writhing mass, and the light seemed to hiss at her. As the three fought, more shapes started moving through the trees, sneering and yelling insults at the two dragons.

Larkes laughed as he heard Aldnoa’s comment. “It’s pretty cool isn’t it?” He said, though he himself didn’t far look over the edge of Aldnoa.
Seeing Ma’ait spread a fiery wall, Shard added his own power to it and turned the fire black and the temperature increased dramatically. With a final shove he forced the white creature back before taking in a breath and spewing black flames at the attackers. “We can do this, Ma’ait!” Shard said, trying to encourage his friend.

Aldnoa nodded. "I see a castle in the distance. Shall that be our first stop? Or perhaps we ought to see to getting you looking your best. Armor, or something?"
