Shard smiled a little and came closer, laying by the deer she had offered him. He lightly licked her cheek in return before carefully beginning to eat.
Drake nodded in agreement to Mysha’s statements. “Yes, I agree with clearing out. The farther away we are the better, in my opinion.” He said, still admiring the figure she had carved by hand.
Larkes approached the mecha, walking calmly yet confidently. “Even though I can’t guarantee how far I’ll travel with you, Aldnoa.” He said, reaching the beast and stopping in front of it. “This sounds like an adventure that’s too good to pass up.” He said with a smile.

A purr rumbled within his throat. "I'm quite pleased to hear that." Aldnoa rose, a great show of power as his wings spread and his head raised above the trees. He was massive, intimidating, and even then lowered his head to the boy. He closed his eyes and lowered himself. "Then we shall waste no time. I am faster than you, and can carry you."

Ma'ait warbled softly before going back to her meal. She looked up though, when Mysha spoke again.
"I think we may have to make a trip back there before though," Mysha had said. "To retrieve something of mine close to home." She ignored the warning growl from Ma'ait. "If I get my power back, it would be essentially useless without it anyway unless I make a new one, which could take a while." She rolled her eyes at Ma'ait, the dragoness snorting "She should wait until she actually needs to go back. It isn't worth some heap of scrap metal, I swear."

The young man stepped back in amazement, completely in awe of the beast’s massive size. He watched as Aldnoa bent his head back down and he smiled a bit, laying his hands on the drsgon’s Head gently. “Is there anywhere specific I should or can sit?” He asked, looking up and down his massive form.
Shard continued to eat, glancing over at Drake and Mysha as they talked. He too couldn’t help but growl in warning just after Ma’ait. “Bad idea.” He snorted, though the humans couldn’t understand him. He just kept eating, not wanting to interrupt anyone.
“If you don’t mind explaining, what is so special about this item you continue to mention? Is it a way to channel your power?” He asked, genuinely curious about why Mysha needed the item so bad and what could be done with it.

"Just at my shoulders, you should find a spine, which should act as a great hold." He purred through Larke's touch, leaning ever so slightly into his hands.

Mysha raised a brow, at first not saying anything. Eventually though, she spoke. "Robots are quite impressive machines," she stated slowly "Able to calculate a lot all on their own, the ones still around anyway, if any." Probably only one or two only, maybe more? "But, I always found myself more interested in what I consider to be the first robots. The ones that don't need wires or a power source to do their thinking or jobs. Just themselves." She looked at her in-progress spear, still working as she continued "Automatons. Well, just two. I finished one when I was young, using chunks from one of Mysha's metal forms to craft it. I don't really have a definition for the power, but I can sort of... give them a little sentience, I guess? Only ones I make though, unfortunately. Doesn't work on anything that isn't mine. I'm not too sure you can say I can control them though, as my organ was minor and the one I finished barely listened to me, but maybe things will be different if I get a better brand." She shrugged. "I could always... make another, but... I don't know. I guess I just want to see if they're still even there. Chief might've had them found and destroyed though, so I'm not sure."

Larkes smiled and continued to rub the dragon. “You like this, huh?” He said happily.
Drake’s face seemed to get brighter and more in awe the longer she told her story. “You can create automatons an dbring that to life? That’s so cool!” He said happily. “And now I understand why you need to do what you said.” He said, holding out his hand. “And Shard and I will help, if you want.”

Aldnoa chuckled. "I do. You have an uncanny sense for exactly where to place your hand." His voice trailed off into a purr.

Mysha smiled slightly. Bring to life. Perhaps. She never really thought of it that way before. Then, she blinked as he held out his hand. Her fingers twitched against her little blade she used to whittle, as if debating whether to do anything. Eventually, she set it down before reaching her hand to grasp his. "Of course you two can help. The more the better." Taking her hand back, she picked up her task again before asking " Should we wait before going, or would you prefer to try our luck now? "

Seeing the beast from his vantage point, the male’s mouth dropped completely opened. “What in the continent is that...?” He muttered. Of course, curiosity got the best of him and he expertly climbed down the tree and cautiously made his way towards the beast. Ocean smiled as he heard Amanda walking to the door then opening it. “Hi Amanda.” He said happily. “How has your morning been?” He asked, not wanting to intrude if she had company over but still wanting to strike up some kind of conversation. "I've been doing good. Just prepping some fruit and vegetables for dinner if you want to go wash up and help me with making dinner." Amanda explained and suggested as she allowed Ocean inside and closed the door.

Larkes chuckled and just continued to rub the mecha’s head, kinda enjoying this. “That or you just like being rubbed all over your head so it doesn’t matter where I put my hands.” Larkes replied as he continued to focus on making Aldnoa feel some joy, or whatever he could ‘feel’ at the moment.
“Well, the power that Shard and I share is strongest during the New Moon phase. That’s happening in about a week, I believe. Maybe we should wait a few days and use that time to train and stuff?” He suggested, beginning to wrap her exquisite Shard figurine in some protective material he had acquired. He didn’t want anything to happen to such a beautiful piece of woodswork.
Ocean smiled as he came in and watched as she closed the door behind him. “Of course I’ll help, Amanda.” He said happily. He wasn’t extremely dirty this time around, so he hoped that washing his hands and arms wolf suffice for the time being. “So what has Scarlett been up to today?” He asked as he washed some grime off his hands.

(What game? :3)
Mysha seemed to like that idea, nodding once as she went about her work. "Wait it is then." She brushed some shavings off of her leg. "Though hopefully we will not need to do any fighting, as where I kept them is away from the main settlement. Hopefully the worst we will see is a patrol, maybe two." She looked down. "I'd say we go to the cave, but even with your power we would not be successful in getting me a brand, because I'd have to request you not use powers while near it, as it would cause bloodshed." Though she would likely never live on that land again, she still had respect for that one place. Nowhere else.

Super smash bros ultimate :3 ))
Drake nodded slowly as he continued to whittle away at his own piece of wood, understanding her comments. “I see. Well at the very least we could use our power to keep others out of the cave. Not she’d blood, just keep them out. Because I have a feeling not many others will be so keen to obey the traditions when they hear you return.”

Mysha decided that just keeping them away would be fine, and she nodded a little. Then, she laughed dryly at his last comment. "I wouldn't be surprised if you were right." Eventually, after sitting in comfortable silence, she finished the initial structure of the spear shaft. Weighing it in her hand, she tilted her head. She'd have to glaze it in something soon.

Drake laid down on his back, looking up at the clear blue sky and just watching things of nature. He didn’t bring of the topic of her re-branding again, preferring not to talk about something depressing st that moment.

(Ah okay x3)
A week had passed, and Mysha had patiently waited as Drake requested. She'd even finished her spear in that time, the wood having little symbols etched in before being glazed over with help from Ma'ait, who also generated metal to help craft the spearhead. She had even gotten a little training in before they left, the flight there rather quiet. The cave would be the second stop, but Mysha had Ma'ait touch down somewhere else first. By a huge cave, mouth gaping wide as stretched upward around into a wall of earth. It was more than big enough for their dragons to walk in too, though Mysha decided to go on foot. Glancing up at Ma'ait, Mysha watched as her friend provided light by opening her jaw and just letting flames flicker about without spewing around. Gesturing for Drake and Shard to follow, she turned and led the way inside.

Over the past week, the power of the two males had grown tremendously, just from the coming new moon. Black marking had spread all over Drake’s body, swirly in some places but jagged at his extremeties. His eyes had also begun to look like dragon eyes, though only the irises. Shard, on the other hand, was ‘smoking’ near constantly, the black swirls evaporating from his wingtips, tail end, and on his horns above his eyes on his head. As they touched down at the cave, Drake slid off Shard and landed almost silently on the ground. Drake followed after Mysha and followed slightly behind her, while Shard padded along with Ma’ait.

Mysha didn't seem bothered by either of the two's changes. She liked to think that Drake looked like some sort of tiger with the patterns of swirls and unique eyes, but she never spoke of such to him. As they walked into the cave, she looked around, behind large rocks and even up the walls, which had small ledges and crevices to perch and hide in. As they got deeper into the cave, one would notice that pieces of metal were left along the ground. Gears, plates and other small pieces, and Mysha cracked a smile. There was even the pile she had left, and she walked over to it. She always made the heads first, so she could better connect with them as she built their bodies. Bending down, she picked up the flawless piece of work, expressionless features except for a slight bend of the brow, as if it were thinking. Not a chip or scratch 9f mistake in the silvery work, and she held it up for Drake and Shard to see. "This was number three, but I never even got to start on the body."

Drake walked over, admiring the little creation. “That’s amazing...” he whispered happily, looking up at his friend. “Maybe that’s what you’ll have to do once we’re done here.” He suggested, thinking it would be cool to see her power at work.
Shard watched as the two humans talked and examined stuff and he looked around himself. “This place in amazing.” He said softly, wondering if Ma’ait felt the same.

Ma'ait nodded to Shard. "This was where Mysha and I spent most of our time while together, even keeping me here when I was just a hatchling so no one would find me. It's a lot more expansive the deeper you go."
Mysha hummed in agreement before moving to put the head in one of the pouches Ma'ait had on her side. She would finish one day. Just as the metallic head disappeared into the sack, she paused upon hearing... clicking. Click, click, click, and she turned to see something in her peripheral. It was hard to see, being just out of range of the provided light, but it was definitely something. Mysha hesitated, eyes watching as it came closer. It was definitely a person. Sort of. She felt joy to see the metallic man approach the light, calm set face turning slowly as it examined them. He was dusty. Dirty, but not damaged. The automaton continued clicking as his eyelids flicked downward in a blink, just... watching from a distance. Mysha took a step toward him, but when his head snapped in her direction, clicking speeding up, she nervously took a step back.

“Stay back, Mysha.” Drake said, stepping in front of his friend and stared at the metal man in front of him. They’d come so far already, he wouldn’t let anything hurt Mysha. Even one of her creations going rogue.
Shard nodded slowly and then stood alert when he heard footsteps. Seeing the thing come into view he stared at it and growled almost inaudible. The way it was behaving was off...

Mysha grumbled as she backed off a bit. "Don't even know if he remembers me." It had been a handful of weeks, and her connection had already been so weak, so maybe the metallic being didn't even care to see her. Before she could process much else, he'd moved. It was rather impressive how fast he moved too, stepping and then running forward. She jumped back a bit, but then noticed he wasn't coming for her, or even her new friends. Ma'ait squawked in surprise as he jumped up onto her, grabbing and reaching as she tried to get him off like some bug. And then he was off, having snatched one of the pouches and detaching. She snapped at him as he retreated a distance away, dumping everything out. Mysha blinked when his fingers reached and gently picked up the head she had collected, examining it as if to check it was okay.
Biting her lip, she said "Beta." The automaton paused, blinking again. So, he still responded to his name. Clicking slowing down, it was a little surprising when he actually spoke. The voice was soft, and scratchy. "... left me..." Barely a whisper, but Mysha still felt shame.

Drake watched as everything went down, nearly lashing out as the thing dodged around him and then stole his friend’s bag. “You didn’t mean to though, Mysha.” Drake said, not caring if the things could understand him or not. “If you didn’t leave, you’d be dead. So would Ma’ait and potentially your creations.” Drake said, laying his hand on her shoulder.

Mysha finally nodded a little after a moment or two, though she still looked a little unsure. She smiled slightly, then frowned again as her creation stalked toward them, eyes on Drake. Holding up her hand, she said "Hey, hey! He's a friend!" The automaton, or Beta, blinked once and paused, and Mysha could almost reach out and touch his chestplates. Beta looked down, studying her lack of right arm. His facial plates, which had been carefully and intricately crafted, allowed him facial expression, brow bending and eyes seeming to narrow a bit. Mysha hesitated, but reached out to feel the plating, but jumped again when he lightly smacked her hand aside. "... don't..." Turning away, he simply began to walk off, though he did signal for them to follow. Mysha slowly did, after another moment of hesitation and a slightly depressed look.

Drake was prepared to fight back if the thing attacked him, but was quite relieved when Mysha defused the situation. He grunted softly when the mechanoid wanted them to follow it and he reluctantly followed beside Mysha. Seeing her depressed look he light laid a hand on her shoulder. “Hey, it’s alright.” He murmured to her, their heads only a foot apart. “Don’t worry. If anything happens, just remember that Ma’ait, Shard, and myself are all here for you/“ he said, trying to comfort her.

Aldnoa chuckled at that. "You're right, I believe. But isn't it better to think oneself is special in such a way?" Then, he shook out his massive wings once more. "We can't stay here all day, and your arm must be getting tired. Come."

Mysha nodded again slowly. "I guess it's just... it means more what the first one thinks of me." She could always make more, but she could remember how excited she had been when the 6'5 man first started moving, looking at her before looking around at the world. Shaking her head a little, she just followed after Beta. Eventually, the came into view of another automaton, sat neatly against the wall as if sitting, resting against the rocky surface. Eyes half-lidded, lifeless gaze angled downward. "Zeta," she murmured softly, looking to the first automaton almost as if for permission before approaching the unfinished husk. Then, Beta spoke again. "... finish him...?" Mysha hesitated, answering "I'd need a brand again. My people stole it." Running her fingers over the smaller frame, she murmured a gentle sorry to it before straightening up and looking at Beta. "I'm back now, for sure, thanks to Drake and Shard, and I'd like it if you came with us. Even after we get Zeta up and running." The silvery man was quiet for the longest time before simply nodding once.

Larkes laughed a little bit. “Yeah, my arm was getting a bit tired.” He said with a smile as he let his arms drop and he walked around the dragon on got onto it right where Aldnoa instructed.
Drake smiled as the automaton agreed and he stood up tall. “We can all do this. If we work together, we can get Mysha her brand, resurrect Zeta, and do whatever else we need to.” He said confidently. He purposefully didn’t mention the last part, just in case any of her creations were lurking around and didn’t like the fact they would be leaving forever after this.
