"Aldnoa. It stands for my model title." He replies simply. Now he gazed upon Larkes, and continued. "What are you doing here, all alone? Are you lost?" Like me?Sorry I missed this Sam!)) Larkes laughed a little. “No I’m not lost. I just prefer being out here compared to the villages and cities here on the continent.” He replied simply. It was true, he didn’t like crowds and the hustle and bustle that went along with them. (I'm just glad you caught it, lmao. I would've forgotten -.-' ) Aldnoa smiled. "It's very quiet out here. I think I prefer this isolation to the... cramped cities you told me of. Alas, I'm filled with guilt that I can't maneuver easily in this forest either. I crush bushes, shove aside trees. I need some place isolated like this, that has room for me." He though a moment, then asked, "What do dragons typically do?"

(So Al is a robot right? I would've mistaken him for an automaton if wires hadn't been mentioned in one post a few pages back x3 I'm just curious)

Shard grinned a bit as he ate the horses he carried back. He was quick with eating, gulping down large bites at a time.
Drake nodded slowly. “I guess it’s skmethjng to think about, then. I’m sure we’d be able to make something happen eventually.” He said as he laid down on his back and relaxed.

Larkes nodded a bit, noticing the mecha’s large size and such right off the bat. “Maybe you should try the mountains. Lots of open room up there.” He said simply. “And as far as I have seen, most dragons act a lot like humans. Eating, working, surviving, et cetera.” He said.

Aldnoa relaxed as well, smiling. "Perhaps I shall find a small cove near a town to inhabit. I'd love to establish myself in this life with peaceful relations with humans."

Larkes grunted, looking a bit uneasy. “Well,,, about that... humans don’t typically view dragons in a good light... at all... anywhere.” He admitted, hanging his head a bit. “You might find a few places that think otherwise, but for the vast majority you’d be persecuted.”

He closed his eyes and let out a soft sigh. "Ah. Prejudice is an ugly thing. Well, tell me, where would you suggest I go? As selfish as you like, tell me what I should do."

Mysha raised a brow. "We?" Though her tone sounded curious more than anything. Hm. Such a friendly stranger. She then sighed, examining her fingers, looking at her palm before simply moving to rest on her back as well, eyes closing as she dozed off.

Grunting softly, Larkes got a pensive look on his face. “Hmmm.... I dunno. I know you said you wanted to be near or around humans, but I’m not sure there’s any places that you could really go that has accepting human populations...”
((Sure, how far and where would they be located?))

"Perhaps you could be my envoy." As Larkes went to respond, he swiftly continued. "I would ask this of you, knowing it to be a lot. But using my presence as a tool in your proverbial belt would be an incredible tool. Whatever kingdom exists, whichever king or queen sits in the throne, would likely see you as a man of importance. You would become a higher class overnight with me. And once they see me not as a monster, but of your house, I would have my wish as well."

((Sounds good! Would you mind starting?))
Larkes grunted at the offer, quite impressed the sentient robot would be willing to give so much up. “That is quite the offer, Aldnoa. I’m very humbled, truly.” He said as he looked back up at the mechanical beast. “But I’m not too interested in going back to big civilization. Not to mention, you’re very existence is one to tip the balance of power in anyone’s favor. They could try to enslave you or force you to fight for them.”

Aldnoa's reply, a laugh, shook the very earth. "Enslave me? My boy, your lack of faith in an absolute power such as myself can only be based in naiveness. I will find another human if I must. But this plan will work. Do not squander it so readily."

(Sure)
A few weeks had passed, and Mysha had actually ended up sticking with Drake and Shard for traveling. Currently, she was sitting under a tree, Ma'ait dozing close by. She had found some good wood a few days back, and was currently carving and whittling the huge piece down into what looked to be a spear, or the shaft anyway, as she held the wood with her legs and carved with her one hand. It was a little fascinating how focused she looked with her work. She would've liked to use metal, but the kind she needed was back home. Just like the rest of her things. Taking a break, she set the big stick down before huffing.

Larkes huffed and sat back a little, still shocked by the offer and his lack of wariness over the humans. “Let me think about it, alright? And I still think you’re underestimating the skills and power of the humans; even in our time of technology deprivation.”

Drake and Shard has been out patrolling and hunting, getting food for their ragtag group and making sure no one came after Mysha or her dragon again. They returned shortly after Mysha took a break from her whittling, Shard carrying a couple dead deer in his claws.

"You're special. Most people wouldn't even recognize me as a robot. They would think me a metal monster, they would never dare to believe I could exist as anything short of magic. And yet you have such an open mind..." Aldnoa shook his head and then rested it again against the cool earth. "I believe I shall stay here tonight. I will see you tomorrow, at noon, if you can. That should be enough time for a yes or no."

Mysha and Ma'ait studied them curiously as they returned, Mysha asking Drake "Any trouble?" She wasn't the kindest person, but she seemed to still show some concern for Drake and even Shard. Soon she'd be able to patrol with them, as she was regaining strength. And it was likely she would stick with them once she got another brand, as they'd been showing her more kindness than even her own people. As she thought about it, she watched Ma'ait walk to Shard, sniffing him curiously before looking to the prey.

Larkes laughed a little at the dragon’s comment. “Eh, I’m not surprised by much. Plus I’ve had some exposure to the ancient world.” He said. At the dragon’s last statement, Larkes nodded slowly and got to his feet. “That’s more than fair, Aldnoa. I’ll be back before then.” He said as he turned and started walking away.
Drake hopped off his dragon and walked over to his friend, sitting down next to Mysha. “Nothing major. No scents detected, at the very least.” He said, watching the two dragon’s.
Shard watched as the dragoness padded over and he nudged the two deer towards Ma’ait. “Take ‘em.” He offered, smiling softly to her.

(I shall!)
Aldnoa was unmoving since that moment. In fact, a few birds had landed on him and snuggled in. A fox was curled up next to his belly. It was only when he sniffed at Larkes returning did they scatter. "You've returned."

Larkes nodded as he walked towards the gigantic beast, watching as the forest critters scattered from Aldnoa. “Of course I did. I said I would, and I keep my word.” He replied, a large pack on his back becoming more visible as he came closer to the dragon.

Mysha hummed in acknowledgement. "Sooner or later, they will return. Hopefully I'll be able to help you when they do. I hate being useless." She had been about to say something else, but arched a brow when she watched Ma'ait lick Shard's cheek.
Ma'ait smiled slightly as she sat back, purring "Thank you." She then bent down and started eating.

Shard felt his scales warm as Ma’ait licked his cheek and smoke drifted from his nostrils for a few seconds. “N-no problem Ma’ait.” He stuttered out, still a bit flustered from the lick. He padded a small distance away and laid down, not wanting the female to think he would steal back the prey by laying too close.
Drake watched the two dragons and he chuckled a bit. “Well it looks like those two are getting along well.” He said amusedly, pulling out his own knife and beginning to whittle away at a hardwood staff he’d been forming. At her statement about feeling useless, he immediately looked over and put his things down. “You’re not useless, Mysha. You help get food, you’re learning to do things with your one hand, you’re not useless at all!”

Ma'ait smiled slightly to herself as she went about her meal, her own cheeks warm as she ate. A few bites in though, she looked back at him again. "... I think there's just enough for two?" She'd only started on one, and wanted Shard to have at least some.
Mysha sighed as Drake spoke. Perhaps he was right, but a part of her still felt... weak. She'd told him and Shard stories of when she was back home, how she would down enemies twice her size, how she'd scale the tallest trees and how she even wrestled a bear (though they didn't need to know the bear was a cub she simply scared off.) All with two hands. When she considered herself strong, though she wanted to believe what Drake was saying too. Just studying him, she said nothing before looking down, pulling something out of seemingly nowhere. "I still owe you a painting, but maybe this will do for now." It was a little, handmade figurine that looked roughly like Shard. How she managed to do it would remain a mystery, as she only worked on it when Drake and Shard were not around. It actually looked decent, considering she had only one hand to make it.

“Really?” Shard asked, rising to his feet a little. “I don’t want to impose on you.” He said. He was a little hungry, but he could always get more prey if needed.
Drake gasped as she presented the figurine to him. He gingerly took it into his hands and admired all of its detailed work. “Oh my goodness. This is great!” He said, a big smile spreading over his face. He looked at Mysha and thanked her numerous times over. “But you didn’t ave to do this for me and Shard.” He added.

Ma'ait smiled a little in amusement. "Yes, really," she said, tail swishing gently. She then turned back to her meal, assuming Shard would take a spot at the other deer.
Mysha shrugged. "It's the least I could do. I probably would've died at some point if you and Shard hadn't come across me and Ma'ait." She went back to working on her spear, resting the wood against her shoulder as she held it in place with her leg. "I'm starting to pick up speed though, and when I get my brand back we can just clear out of this area entirely." The farther away they were, the harder they were to find.

However, he waited to hear the news straight from him. No need to make assumptions.
