Kodiak suddenly experienced a wave of relief as the dragon ran from him. He let out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding, followed by wiping a few sweat beads from his brow. You need to think next time, genius, he thought with a scowl, then glanced at the bent sword in his hand. Mm, I'll have to stop by the smith's later. I could use a new blade, anyways.
{I realized I totally forgot to ask you two if it's alright for me to gently use cuss words? I just wanted to check before I used them anymore in case it bothered you. Sorry ๐ถ๐

Wisp giggled as her mate nudged her and she trilled in return. โOkay, just checking.โ She replied, tail waving as thy flew. During the course of their trip, and her pregnancy, sheโd developed some scales on her sides and head that mimicked her mateโs, most likely from their mateship. She was still mostly golden in color, but had developed some areas with his markings.

Wisp giggled and nosed his cheek. โIโm only copying some of your looks since we became mates. Iโm not even controlling it. I think it started after you left this on me.โ She said, turning her head so he could admire his mark he left on her. โGetting me pregnant probably didnโt hinder it either.โ She added, turning back to look at her mate. She couldnโt be happier though, smiling the whole time. โYouโre the most fantastic mate ever.โ

Wisp trilled as she was licked on the mark heโd left. It was a sensitive spot, but for all the nice reasons. She always liked it when her mate licked and nosed her. โOh Storm... youโre such a fantastic made.โ She breathed, turning her head and licking his head a few times.

Wisp nodded happily then winced as one of their babies gave a bit of a kick. โYep! And I canโt wait to show you my homeland and introduce you to my family.โ She murmured happily.
((Ooh maybe on the way or when they get there another Hydra comes along and finds them, and maybe the polar opposite of Ametish? Like more female heads than male?))

Whimpering a little, Wisp flapped her wings and rose so she was now above him and she tried to help him stretch and decompress the cramps. โItโll be okay, mate...โ

Wisp blinked a couple times. Theyโd only covered a little distance but she complied. She swooped down and landed in a clearing.

It was a few days later, and the young male dragon had gotten back to his normal routine, though in the forest on the opposite side of the town, and was happily munching on a deer he had caught. He had grown about a foot over the past days, and gained weight in muscle as well.

Kodiak had caught up with an old friend of his the previous day, and was informed his attempts of hurting the beautiful reptilian species were in vain. He had simply laughed, then continued to his usual route. He'd gotten a new blade as well, slightly heavier but sturdier. The young man kept his eyes sharp, remembering the conversation he'd had.
"Not all dragons are like that, Kodi. You should really try befriending one, they can form amazing bonds... explained the older boy.
"Whatever, I'll stick to my beliefs and you to yours. Got it?" Kodiak spoke quietly, slightly unsure. This friend was quite persausive.
"Fine, but keep it in mind," the other sighed.
Maybe, just once. But if I get injured I'm blaming him, Kodiak thought with a frown.

Just so you both know, I will probably disappear soon for the night))
Wisp landed beside her mate and whimpered when she saw his wings. โLay down.โ She demanded, instantly climbing onto his back and helping him straighten out his wings and de-cramp them.
The young dragon was still eating his deer, not paying attention to the sounds around him. He hadnโt eaten well in days and this prey was a great catch for him.

Kodiak heard a crunching sound, most likely feet on the foliage. Perhaps a dragon digging into its meal. He walked quietly as possible towards the source, hand on his sword as he readied to approach whatever the sound was coming from. When he realized it was the same dragon he'd met only recently, his eyes widened. The word came out of him before he could even think about it.
"Hello?"

Wisp smiled as she helped her mate uncramp his wings and she trilled to him happily. โFeel better, mate?โ She asked as she nuzzled and licked his wings and his back. She then smdecided it was quite comfy and laid down on him happily
All of a sudden, a loud crashing and thrashing could be heard from nearby, then even more suddenly pairs of yellow eyes started glowing in the relatively dark morning sky. Heads and eyes started showing, nearly surrounding the group.
The young male jumped as he heard the human voice and he took a fighting stance, tail lashing. He instantly recognized the boy from earlier and paused for a half-second before growling again. The human had tried to attack him earlier, whatโs to say he wouldnโt again?
