"A-Ah ha!" Lyle snapped his fingers with a shocked expression. "So that's what I forgot." He walked over to the other end of the counter and picked up a white towel. "Let's see if a little magic can't bring us a solution, okay?"
He walked back over to Araya, "Hold out your hands then close your eyes and count to three with me, okay?" He encouraged brightly; while placing the towel over Araya's hands.
"R-Ready? 1.....2......3......."
When he counted three he pulled the Towel off Araya's hands. In its place was a stack of plastic plates.
He waved a finger, "Now for the cups." He smiled, then placed the towel over his own hand. "1....2.....3..."
As he removed the towel, there was a stack of plastic cups on his palm. He smiled then handed her the cups.
"Any more questions?" He grinned.

"Hey dad!" Skylar called cheerfully upon sight of her father entering the house. She brightened considerably at the sight of the pizza boxes, then looked slightly uncertain at Anna's entrance. She hesitated a moment, then offered a feeble smile. "H-hey... Anna," she greeted.
She couldn't bring herself to call her "mom." Not yet, anyway. Trying brought too deep an ache at the memory of her own mother, who she'd been extremely close to, almost as close as Angelique and their father.
Hastily, she looked away. "I'm going to go get cleaned up," she announced awkwardly, then hurried up the stairs after her twin.
James walked in barely a moment after she left, smelling pizza. Seeing his mother, he immediately arranged his features into a pleasant expression. "Hi, mom. Hello, sir," he added to Lyle respectfully. "Dinner smells excellent. Would you like me to set the table?"

Lyle chuckled lightly towards everything going on. He wasn't going to show disappointment, mainly because he believed that this was just process.
He waved over to Skylar, then nodded. "Dont take too lo g, deary!"
His attention now turned to James. "Well Araya is setting the plates and Cups. You can always get the pizza's and drinks onto the table." He smiled.

Ro smiled and nodded. "Okay, Mama," she said as she hopped off the couch and ran into the dining room. "Is dinner ready, daddy?" Ro asked her new father as she walked into the room. She didn't know what else to call him so she might as well call him that. She smelled the pizza and smiled as she notice her brother there as well. "James, can I help too?"

Anna headed upstairs to Harriet and Ro's room and left the box next to the bed she assumed was Ro's of the two. Opening it up, she dug through it for a moment before producing a worn-our but soft bear. Leaving the room, she flicked off the light before shutting the door and heading back downstairs. When she reached the dining room, she smiled when she saw so many of the kids helping to set the table. "Looks like we've got the table under control," She said to them. "What about seating arrangements?".
Araya grinned and giggled at her father's magic trick, before turning and heading into the dining room to set out the plates. Though the table was much barer than she was used to, lacking a tablecloth, napkins and any kind of centerpiece, she did her best to make it look neat and tidy, spacing the plates perfectly in front of each chair and adding the cups at one corner of each.
When the food arrived, Harriet quickly followed her siblings into the dining room, standing by the edge while they set the table and talked. Though she wasn't especially shy, Harriet had never seemed to quite master how to start concersations, so usually stayed in the background unless someone noticed her. Deciding to track down one of her own siblings, she headed into the kitchen to see if anyone was still in there.

James flashed Lyle a smile. "Of course, sir," he agreed. Taking the box of pizza and the drinks, he moved over to set them down in the center of the table.

Lyle watched them all set up the table. This made him draw a soft smile; sure this was awkward, but he knew that all the kids would get along within a matter of time. It all came down to everything that he and Anna would plan for the kids. Team bonding exercises, trips, and anything else he could recall from all his HuD classes back in college. He nodded to himself as though picturing it all happening. It would be great-minus the detail that the girls might use their abilities to kill their new half of the family. That wouldn't happen, w-would it? N-Nah...

Angelique noticed her sister coming up the stairs and took X's paw, waving at her in a greeting. "Dinner's gonna be awkward." She commented, a grumpy X morphing its shape to settle itself as a choker around her neck. It was the wisest form to take when Angelique had to socialize around others who weren't accepting of her ability. She leaned against the wall, resting her head back and looking at the ceiling. "I sometimes wish we were back home, y'know?"

James turned to Ro and offered her a slight smile. "Sure you can," he told her. "If you want, you can help me figure out where everyone is going to sit. Does that sound fun?"
"I know." Skylar agreed, taking a seat at the edge of her bed. "I already don't like that one kid, James; he's incredibly rude." She scowled. "And I know. I'd give anything to have our home back. This place doesn't feel like home at all, really." She sighed. "At least Anna seems okay, though she'll never be mom to me."

Ro bounced on the balls of her feet and began to go around the table saying who would sit where. "There is Lawrie, Mama, me, James, daddy, Harriet, Angelique, Skylar, and Araya."

She nodded in agreement, running her empty hand through her hair, the other busy holding a purring X. "Agreed. I'd have a much easier time with this if Anna had no children. If she didn't we wouldn't have to move to a larger house and deal with these nuisances. We wouldn't have to hide our abilities, and Dad knows how difficult it can be for us." She bit her lip, glancing at their open door,"But she makes him happy, so.."

Skylar nodded. She missed home, she truly did. "I liked it there, even if it was really too small." She sighed. "And I hate hiding my powers. It's like hidig a piece of who I am, y'know?"
For a moment, she was silent. Then her father called out to them, and she groaned. "We'll be down in a minute!" She called down to him, feeling a bit reluctant to leave her room.

Seeing as everyone had been given a last warning he hummed to himself, then walked down the hall. By the looks of it, it might be a while before everyone seated themselves for dinner. He was hungry but not as hungry, so he headed out to the porch for some more fresh air.

She let out a groan of annoyance when their Father called down,"I miss our small home already. It belonged to us, y'know? And we didn't have to pretend to be people we aren't." Angelique stood up, X's hundreds of eyes blinking before closing again. It was time for it to take a nap, maybe perform some mischief if its favorite human allowed him. She stopped walking towards the stairs and looked at Skylar, a grin plastered on her face. "Let's have a little fun on our first dinner together."

(I might have to go get another one, rip. NEVER MIND stick a toothpick did the trick. Oh boy I just saved myself a little. I still have to buy a new filter for when I upgrade , but the new filter will need to be included with a skimmer and a sump. Q.Q )
Lyle had returned into the house to pick up his violin case. Quickly as can be he rushed back outside the porch and began tuning the instrument. He didn't want to eat before anyone else, and he didn't want to think about food either. So... He thought that playing music would keep him slightly occupied.

Skylar jumped to her feet, suddenly looking excited. "Whenever you suggest that we have fun I know things are going to be great," she responded, grinning widely. "I'm guessing you already have an awesome plan?"

Anna smiled gently as the kids finished setting out the table, before doing a quick head count to see how many were there. Still a few missing...She thought, hoping they'd turn up soon enough. Suddenly remembering, she gave a quick glance around to find Ro, then moved across the room to the young girl and held out her bear. "Here you go, sweetie." She said. " Don't get anything on him at dinner.".
As she watched James set out the pizza and drinks, Araya stood back and waited until he had looked away, then quickly reached over and switched the place of the few things, so the pizza boxes were lined up, in order, across the table, with the drinks set between them. Smiling contently, she pulled out the chair she had been assigned by Ro and sat down, waiting for everyone else to take a seat before eating.
(I have to go until tomorrow.)

In the meantime, Lyle was roght along the hall near the porch entrance warming up with his fiddle. He knew that it would take some time before everyone was at the table. Nothing a little bit of music couldn't pull of while he and everyone else waited. He began to play some tune he recalled , it was simple but it was enough to pass the passing minutes. His tune could be herd down the hall.

Ro smiled and took the bear from her mother. "Beary! I missed you." She hugged the stuffed animal to her and hopped around a bit with him on her head. She ran out of the dinning room and heard music coming from the hall. She walked towards it and saw her new father playing on an instrument. "Is that a fiddle? You play and instrument?" she asked excitedly.

Angelique grinned, tapping at her choker. X blinked, shifting back into its form of a cat. "Why don't we use our abilities to make this more exciting? Of course, we have to be sneaky about it or Dad might become super upset." She patted X and it blinked, looking up at her. "I can use X and the shadows in the kitchen, and I'm pretty sure there is some wildlife outside you can communicate with."

Lyle turned his attention to Ro, with a smile. "W-Why yes..." He answered while he continued to play his instrument. "I-I actually play various instruments." He cheerfully added, his bow gracefully stringing the strings. "Clarinet, flute, bassoon, oboe, some trumpet, piano, cello, guitar, and just about whatever you toss into my face." He continued playing the melody. He swayed along with the music, as a means of peace tranquility.

Ro smiled as he played but noticed something when he spoke. Ro, not knowing any better really or thinking much of it, asked him, "Are you nervous or do you have a stutter?" She balanced Beary on the top of her head, making it look like she had on some kind of headdress on as she glanced up at the man who was her new father. "I like your music you should play more."

Lyle blinked for a moment, then broke into a laughter, "Actually no I have neither." He added with an assuring tone. "I was just very curious of your listening skills is all." He explained while he continued to play on the instrument. He started to play music from The Legend of Zelda; showing off his love for the franchise. "Actually.." He paused at the thought, "I play a lot, all the time." He smiled. "It's something the girls love to hear on clear nights like this. Or just when it's a good day to listen to music." He added at the thought.

(Hey guys ^^ since we all really seem to like this roleplay, I was thinking of recreating another roleplay I like this that I used to have, if you guys would be interested in joining. It's basically a roleplay about a family with around ten kids, and since I know some of you may only have joined this because of the supernatural aspect, we could even add powers into it and have them be cousins with this family or something X3. But anyway, would any of you join that if I made it? :3 )
